The SOTU is tonight 9pm est. in Washington D.C. This might prove interesting tonight quick glance shows the Sun square to Jupiter at 1 Taurus and Saturn at 29 Libra who oppose each other'ish. We find Mercury lagging back at 25 Capricorn behind the Sun at 4 Aquarius 29 agitating the Jupiter/Saturn opposition and stirring the pot so to speak. We've all been paying some attention to the GOP Idol fest, as well as to the weird weather patterns, the oddly places earth quakes, and the latest with yesterdays Coronal Mass Ejection that is currently bombarding the earth it just seemed a good time to start a new thread. We are also playing off the New Moon energies from the Aquarian New Moon. If you stop by leave us your thoughts on tonights SOTU. Will the President mention OWS especially considering Mitt Romney pays less in taxes then WE DO which is particularly obscene to me. I'm looking to hear the Warrior Obama. by Sally Cheyne McDonald It does seem as if we are going down the stairs but don't look at that, look up, cause we are going up. Smashed here between three eclipses, a partial solar eclipse on June 1st in Gemini, a full moon eclipse on the 15th also in Gemini and now another partial solar eclipse in Cancer, close to the US Sun at 9 degrees Cancer, but not close enough for me. This eclipse does however fall on the US midpoint of Sun/Jupiter, perhaps the worst of possibilities will be held off for August. This eclipse, while not falling across the US at all, does fall close to transiting south node, the past is rising up, karma is written all over this eclipse. It's interesting to me that since 1997/98 all the outer planets have been crossing over the South node of the US and since that time we have been reaping what we have sown in this country. I know we all say it wasn't us, but in large measure it has been us. We ignored the growing impact of big business for over 100 , we ignored the influence of the Federal Reserve and banking since 1913, years because they paid us. I don't think people can be blamed for trusting their government and big institutions, we were all busy with wars, raising kids, working, dealing with depressions, trying to carve something out of nothing as we came of age. Good things happened during those times and the good things for the people have been constantly chipped away through those years. Did we have too long a history of slavery, too culturalized (no such word, but I like it) toward serfdom during modern history's days, starting before the Greek civilizations? I don't know but world wide we have either turned a blind eye or let slavery and serfdom exist for ourselves and for others. I've always thought we made the holocaust important not because people were mowed down like ants, but because the entire world for whatever reasons stood up against all the injustice of it all. The common man and woman around the world felt proud and felt like they were bringing freedom and justice, no matter what the leaders were doing. But if you look around the world today you can see none of the injustice has stopped. There is still slavery and massive death of men, women and children, there is still serfdom, still injustice for mankind, still corruption and suffering for the masses and world wide we have been turning a blind eye, heaving a big sigh and saying "what can we do?" We just go on and the karma keeps going around from country to country. Even Mother Nature is starting to rebel; remember the 70's commercial, "it's not nice to fool Mother Nature." I always thought, even then, this is an omen and every now and then, she turns her wrath on this world. We are absolutely connected in every sense of the word to everyone else. Physics shows us that when we believe we are separate, photons separate from that. If we believe we are separate from the wealthy it's not in our sphere, if we believe we lead a poor and sad life, that is in our sphere because we have connected to it. Einstein tried to explain this to us and said "we cannot solve a problem while we are in the same level of thinking that created the problem in the beginning." This entire world is based on "us and them." Country against country, gender against gender, religion against religion, culture against culture, black and white, rich against poor, and the list goes on, it just depends whose side one is on. There is very little "live and let live." In small ways, with this eclipse in Cancer we can begin the process of moving in that direction, course I have Jupiter in Cancer in my tenth house, I have an ideology and vision of a global dream in that direction, you know prosperity and safety for all; all this other stuff has become ridiculous even insane by psychological standards. Wow, perhaps those are changing as well. I'm trying to figure out what we fear, what do I fear. Is it the word change? Is it a fear that I will lose what little I have, is it the fear someone will kill me (we will die someday anyway) is it the fear that I will have to move (I dislike moving) is it the fear that someone will own me or my children or grandchildren, or is it simply the fear of the unknown and that I or we will not have any control over events? Mars has been in a square to Neptune activating the US Natal square which activates our insanity as a people, sadly it's our leaders we have to observe to see our collective insanity; in a few weeks Mars will trine to Neptune, some in society can shift the energy toward a more collegian attitude, we will have to wait to see if any of our leaders can or will do that in order to see how we are collectively doing. Part of the Mars/Neptune energy that covers the US is a belief that all of this is real, it isn't. None of what has happened in this New World of ours over the last couple of centuries have been real. We revere our “founding fathers” and yet they left out women, blacks, and tried to leave out the poor in their system of democracy believing only “land owners” could govern the country and move it forward, In other words, only the rich. The people were so desperate they bought it all hook line and sinker. How have we, the people changed? How have the rich also the people changed? However, I do want to point out the tendency to make believe in this country affects those who are wealthy in the same way it does the rest of the culture, only because of funds they are able to hang on to the illusion just a bit longer. On Aug. 18, 2016 retrograde Mercury in the US chart goes direct at 20 degrees Aquarius and by the mid to late 2020’s we will be on a whole new path, changing and cleaning up in this country. Whatever we do starting now, whatever we try to sow in these years between now and 2016/17 when transiting Neptune will be on transiting nodes south node, we will begin to reap. Do you want more money at anyone’s expense, do you want a peaceful loving environment, even small things like a better relationship with your country, your family, your job, start thinking now about the seeds you need to sow what you want to reap. Be honest with yourselves and clear on your intentions. Einstein once said and it is painfully true.“ Remember Einstein’s quote “we cannot solve a problem while we are in the same level of thinking that created the problem” . We have been given an opportunity to change through these eclipses, change our thinking and change our reality. I believe in us as a human race, I know what I want and don’t want to which I connect myself, and connections means you can connect through peace or anger but you are still connected, through violence or joy, prosperity or poverty you are still connected. What I am saying is get clear on what you do not want in your life on any level. Take love for an example and you want to be loving and positive, connect to those who are. Some people use love as a manipulation you may not want to associate with them but you are connected to them and you can send out empathy and acceptance of their misuse but don’t send out hate or disgust because that eventually disconnects you from what you want. It’s a process and a difficult one to do, but it can be done, you just don’t have to be someone who misuses the gifts you have. It’s the baby boomers that are now unlocking the mysteries of the use of energy and how to make it work for others, as we move into our own wisdom we can guide the younger generation into the understanding of the universe. By Sally Cheyne McDonald What a week, more problems with Japan, Libya and Syria killing each other right and left with the countries ready to explode, the assassination of Osama ben Laden and the celebration of death instead of the US normal celebration of the end of a war. The State Department indicated that war would go on so I guess we don't celebrate the end of wars anymore. Pakistan didn't know that Ben Laden was living in the suburbs with a ton of retired military and next to their military academy. Who could have possibly known he was there? The "tornado winds" that made a run at destroying the South certainly got its "zip" from all the Aries with an assist from an opposition by Saturn and the conjunct of Jupiter and Mars in Aries. It's been a week and it isn't over yet. Uranus squared the US Venus this last week and I don't think the drama is over as yet, it impacts the 10th House of leadership in the US chart. Now to the fun part, the WEDDING, Diana, the Princess of Wales is completing what she started through William. I wonder if the Monarchy sees that? They had the wedding as close to the Celtic Beltane celebration where it is known as the Festival of Unification. The myth of the chosen King is to be married to an Earth Goddess between St. George Day (April 23rd and the Beltran April 30/May 1st. Until January 1st, 1801 the chart used for England was Dec. 25, 1066 when William was crowned King (William the Conqueror) and the Moon was VOC at 29 Pisces, just 3 degrees off the 26 degree Pisces of William's and Cate's Wedding in Westminister Abby where William the Conquror was crowned. While the date picked is absolutely fitting for a King and Queen and a successful reign as well as massive changes to the monarchy and to England, the things Diana started, it is terrible for a smooth sailing marriage with all that Aries squaring William's Cancer and Cate's Capricorn. There is a ton of passion in the relationship and there will be a lot of turmoil with passionate making up. Will they make it? I sure hope so. One thing for certain their heir to the throne will be the great grandchild of a coal miner and a cabinet maker, uniting Labor and Royalty on the throne of England. Catherine The Duchess of Chambridge isn't just a commoner, she is from a working class family with Labour running through her blood. England is now discussing allowing the eldest child to rule whether it's male or female and of course if they have nothing but girls, the female will rule. My bet is there will be a girl and she will be named Diana. Now in my fantasy mind, Diana, who had more royal blood than the royal family was intended to rule and one way or another she will be on the throne. One thing for sure Cate Middleton wants to be queen and she certainly presents a regal picture with beauty, poise, and calm. For the rest of us, God help those in the South and Japan and everywhere people are struggling. Mars, Jupiter and Uranus in Aries has set this spring off in a brand new direction for the world and we cannot see it all right now, however it seems for one thing that dictators are falling, let's hope they are not falling toward the US. I do think things will calm a bit when Jupiter goes into Taurus in June, but it will be an encouragement to more greed so watch your pennies. By Sally Cheyne McDonald In Dec. 2020 the Grand Conjunction between Jupiter and Saturn meet at 0 Aquarius marking the energy governing the next 20 years in an air manner as opposed to the earth we have been following for decades, the last of which began in the year 2000 ending in 2020. We can watch the movement of Egypt for the signs of the world's direction as we move toward 2020 and the 20 years beyond that. Egypt has changed forever and will be the compass for Africa and the Middle East, perhaps Israel, Europe and America as well. No matter the strife Egypt goes through in forming their new country they will eventually arrive close to the ideals that started their protests. Protests that are now forming in other countries as people in the worst of the poverty stricken countries are beginning to see how their money and resources have been stolen through corrupt corporations, governments, and financial institutions. Europe and the US aren't in the same drastic financial straits as Africa and the Middle East, but they are questioning and angry at the massive amounts given to banks and corporations while "energy subsidies" are being cut for the elderly and poor in their countries not to mention other drastic measures that affect the most vulnerable. The next ten years will see changes implemented as we move toward 2020 and those changes will be throughout the world. Arab Republic of Egypt, is a country mainly in North Africa, with the Sinai Peninsula forming a land bridge in Southwest Asia. Egypt is thus a transcontinental country, and a major power in Africa, the Mediterranean region, the Middle East and the Islamic world. Covering an area of about 1,010,000 square kilometers (390,000 sq mi), Egypt is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea to the north, the Gaza Strip and Israel to the northeast, the Red Sea to the east, Sudan to the south and Libya to the west. It may take quite awhile and not without some suffering and pain but it will win in the end and with less suffering than violence brings. This will also bring the spotlight on weapons (guns) war and violence of all types to bear on those promoting these things. There will be a continuation of lies and illusions drawn for all of us by our governments and the corporate BS they put out in an effort to enslave and improve their profits, hopefully that won't work for much longer. Egypt is a big piece and in many ways the first piece of our massive world wide change of consciousness as we whirl toward 2020. A break from the GOP (GOOP Of Politicians) that seems to make up the Republican Party, and the Dems (Dying Easygoing Mess) that seems to make up the Democratic Party. I took a break from the crazies running around with guns killing others or waiting for some to shoot, the hit on progressive voices with the firing of Keith Olbermann from Comcast aka MSNBC. A break from the health care repeal, a break from the lies and games, a break from the frauds and crooks running this country and Europe, a break, yes a blessed break. However, I have to make some comments on the SOTU. Howard Fineman a well known pundit says Obama will be calling on the inspiration of the JFK 1961 Inaugural Speech. You know "ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country." There is no doubt that the astrological energy around on Jan. 20, 1961 for JFK's Inauguration is around Obama and Tuesday, but President Obama does not have the charisma JFK and the Kennedy family possessed and the delivery will not be the call to unification that JFK invoked. It doesn't matter whether half the people listening never heard JFK, it was his appeal that called the nation to action, President Obama does not have the same appeal or the same type of follow through that the Kennedy administration activated. At Kennedy's Inauguration, he had not disappointed anyone, he had not slammed his base and turned his back on them, neither he nor RFK had closed the door on prosecution of those who were stealing the US blind (that group have always existed) they were not taxing only the middle and poor, his administration still held promise for the future of this country. The JFK speech was one that Mr. Obama might have been able to deliver with conviction at his first SOTU but it will be harder now, if not impossible. What was it that was said to Dan Quayle when he tried to compare himself to JFK, "I knew Jack Kennedy and you're no John Kennedy." I am first going to address health care and the obfuscation we have been experiencing with it and will continue for a bit and the obfuscation is coming from the President and probably the Senate as well. First of all, transiting Chiron is having a Chiron return to the 1961 Inaugural of John Kennedy, Neptune was also in the 6th house as it will be on Tuesday evening and it was in a square to the Mercury in the 10th, lots of hyperbole and they will be the same Tuesday evening, only Mercury squares Saturn this time and a lot of the words will fall flat. The Neptune square Mercury in the JFK Inaugural chart plus the retrograde Mars would indicate hopes unrealized or cut short, and they certainly were. The People of the US, represented by the Moon in the US chart has transiting Neptune in a conjunction and it all falls on President Obama's South Node, Obama will once again speak to the people's hopes and dreams for this country, but with Chiron hovering around that point, we could be sadly disappointed and "feel" wounded, the question will be whether we are actually wounded. Mercury as ruler of the First and 10th in the SOTU, will have a lot to say or not say Tuesday night. Listen carefully (if you listen) for "austerity" measures, they will be just the beginning. Transiting Neptune on the US Moon indicates lies to the American people and worse, the American people lying to ourselves. Uranus and Jupiter are the only planets barely above the horizon in the 7th house, everything else is below, where our least consciously sense of self reside. We often times don't know what we are doing or why we are doing it from below the horizon a good example of this as a country would be why we feel the need to have automatic, war ready concealed weapons in our churches and schools and on the street particularly rally's, a lack of understanding how violent media, such as "kill the liberals" could possibly incite people who are already mentally unsteady. We are blindsided from below the horizon and I think that describes our government in today's world. We don't even see what is costing us money and what isn't, who is stealing from us and who isn't, we simply don't see as a collective nation, much less world, at least not this year and not this government. And groan, groan, the Sun and Mars squares Obama's Neptune Tuesday; I'm gonna want to believe him but I don't recommend it, I think he will be giving a very confusing message. Listen ever so carefully because what he intends to do, in our best interest or against it will be in that speech, also listen for any freudian slips. With that transiting square to Obama's Neptune and Mars ruling the 8th house of the SOTU plus the transiting Mercury to Saturn and Mercury ruling Obama's natal 8th house, he needs to be very careful over the next year, plus some caution around his daughters. This country absolutely does not need another presidential assassination or even an attempted one, the tragedy of that would be huge. The good news is transiting Moon, not quite VOC, trines Chiron and just passed a trine to Neptune, the ultimate dreams of the people will eventually prevail. If we the people around the world could simply grasp that they (the wanna be masters of the universe) are few and we the people are legion and we are more flexible and we just keep coming. Millions of people did not like the Kennedy's, millions don't like President Obama but millions did love JFK and millions do love Obama; millions saw them both as great hope for the future of this country and this people, maybe they were and maybe they weren't but that really isn't important, it's the hope of millions that's important because it is hope and will continue to be hope that is the bridge to carry us over the troubled waters of fear and chaos. Much is in this SOTU but not on the surface, listen carefully and with amusement as our "leaders" (that's a joke) play badly their little theater on Tuesday and watch it all unfold like a pop up story book. Did you ever see what a two year old does to pop up story books, well, so will the two year olds in Washington. I gotta liken all this mess in this country to my health issues. I am taking a second round of chemo in the form of a clinical trial. After my treatments I spend several days sick to my stomach and intestinal problems, my skin is riddled with a rash that is driving me nuts, all the moisture is being sucked out of my body and my skin all over is cracked and bleeding and feels like it's breaking apart, my face is drawing lines all over it like a computer aging process (quick) and my hair is rapidly falling out. That's the bad news, the good news is my tests are great and the chemo is working and the tumors are disappearing, plus I always have three good days before the next round of chemo begins again. That is basically what is happening in the US, we seem to be "cracking up" but we are actually getting better, that is something I can promise you. Is it fun to "crack" apart, NO!!! But is better health in this country worth the effort, OH YES IT IS. Assange and Wikileaks, to arrest or not to arrest, bail or no bail ( turns out bail) John Boehner, who seems to have perpetual PMS is straining to get to January 1st and lead the GOP House to what they see as their Promise Land. The State Department is in turmoil because Richard Holbrooke, the most senior and best diplomat they have decided to seek a more peaceful path; and the White House insisted his dying words were actually a joke when he asked that the "war in Afghanistan be stopped." Ireland, England, France, Germany, Spain and Greece are in a beginning state of revolution over their government's Austerity Plans. The protest groups in London started yelling "off with their heads" at the Prince and Duchess of Wales, that's not a epitaph royalty would take lightly in Europe, no matter how long it's been since "off with their heads" had real meaning. And then there is Obama trying to dance and badly between the Democratic Party and the GOP, Wall Street and Main Street seemingly confused as to who and where he is. The Senate is a mess and completely inbred to the point of idiotic drooling that means nothing, gets nothing done and can't find their direction out of a paper bag. Days when I wanted to shout to the world with pride "that's my child," and days I wanted to deny (but couldn't) those kids had any relationship to me. I did however have two other children that I never saw their face or even heard them coming until my other four were standing in front of me; I did nevertheless know their names. They were called "I don't know and it wasn't me." Today all four of my kids are grown and doing pretty well, so are the other two, in fact "I don't know and it wasn't me" are in Washington as we speak, they are rich and powerful people today. They have been working and rising to the top of banks, insurance companies, politicians, big business. They are right now sitting in front of Congressional hearings, repeating those oft used names of "I don't know and it wasn't me," a close third would be "it's not my fault," even if they are holding the smoking gun in their hands. BP, Halliburton, and Transocean seemingly had nothing whatever to do with the Gulf massive oil spill; they don't know what happened. It wasn't them, they don't know what happened, and it wasn't their fault. Believe me, before all this is over they will try (and might succeed) in placing the cost on the taxpayers shoulders, after all the Banks and Insurance companies have been able to do this with the help of our "it wasn't us" government. As long as Neptune is in its final run of Aquarius there will be plenty of stories about oil and water around the world. Just to click them off, there is of course, Tea-baggers, health care, Iraq and Afghanistan and Israel heating up, what Rumsfeld called "old Europe" is collapsing and doing all they can to stay out of bankruptcy, the corrupt monetary system in this country is, well you know what it is, now we have a collapsing mining industry, and a horrific oil spill on April 20th at 10:00pm in the Gulf of Mexico and threatening our fragile coastal eco-system as it pours out 5,000 gallons a day into the Gulf of Mexico and lapping at the Louisiana shores and wetlands. And the latest thing would be the repeat of the 1930's and 40's only this time instead of Jews it's the "illegal's" in Arizona with other states wanting to spread their "hate and fear" along with Arizona and Congress cannot come up with a plan, even though "old Europe" devised one a long time ago that's been working for them. Arizona isn’t the Real Problem” My hope is this country stops looking back at the way things 'use to be” and look forward to the way things "could be", because the "use to be" is gone if not forever, for a very long long time. Our Aries 4th house cusp could give the US the impetus to work for what we believe in with some success. After all both Uranus and Jupiter will conjunct that 4th house cusp very soon. As history shows us, when this country feels attacked they will fight, my prayer is that the people won't feel attacked by things like Health Care and services for the people. When I thought I was done with child bearing, my youngest child being three I found out I was pregnant with a fourth child. I was almost 37 and I shook for three days after the news. Didn't know what I was going to do, I had plans for my life when my youngest got into kindergarten and they didn't include another baby. But here I was having another baby. I was frustrated and felt trapped, I wasn't thrilled and my marriage was crumbling to boot. One day I woke up and thought "well, this is where you are and you will make the best of this situation, it's not the baby's fault that your plans have gone off the rails. I've never regretted having him, he was a delight and a support in my life. It all turned out much better that I could have dreamed. Of course there were challenges along the way with all of them, big challenges, including my marriage falling completely apart, but I kept putting one foot in front of the other, I kept doing the best I could to support us and keep everyone happy. That's the way I look at this country today, just keep putting one foot in front of the other and handle each challenge as it comes along with as much energy and love and strength I can gather to me to put out there for others in my life.
