New Moon Chart

The new moon of May 1st is the first of three powerful lunar events to occur during the month of May. What 'We' put in motion at this time are the seeds of what we will be reaping with the other two events.
For a time of year so celebrated for its' abundance and fertility, We look about us seeing a landscape stripped barren by bombs and missiles, societies decimated by war, hunger and military occupation, an economy crippled by the greed of rich neo conservatives bent upon the subjugation of all peoples to their fundamentalist will, called the New World Order.

Full Moon Stew

"An eclipse of the Sun or Moon in the Watery Triplicity presages rot or consumption of the vulgar sort of people, rumors, seditions, and expectations of Wars, destruction of water fowl, great inundations and overflowing sea-banks."
"From An Easie And Familiar Method Whereby to Judge the Effects Depending on ECLIPSES Either of the Sun or Moon."
By William Lilly, Student of Astrology, London 1652.
Claudia Dikinis, Starcats Eclipses

" It's like we've been dropped out of this huge cosmic duffle bag and we're free falling while getting a close-up look at the planets and planet patterns, like the Jupiter-Neptune opposition", Claudia Dikinis. Art Gianfermo says in his latest article, 'Poseidon's (Neptune) Trident Creates Confusion, Illusion and Wild Imagination Week of May 12th, 2003', We are treated to a three separate blasts of power from Poseidon (Neptune) and his trident.
Signs and omens, the People are on edge, waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I see the People, the Moon, standing in the face of the Sun.
As a Nation, we are the Conquerors, our huge military machine is invincible, we are undefeatable. Our armies will anihilate those who oppose us, and if a few thousand innocents get in the way, God will sort them out.

Classy Act or Cajones

Let me start by telling you I am the antithesis of a Domestic Diva, food is not my friend, and echo'ing my favorite folk hero Maynard G. Krebb's, "house orkWORK!" as I run screaming into the night.

Martha Stewart wouldn't normally draw my attention, billionairess, model, the ideal homemaker, oh geeze, the perfect hostess. She can handle herself, and her affairs quite capably. Nor am I a great Hillary fan, but for some reason those Neo-Con cowboys want to take both these ladies down.

Moon Power

People do you want to take advantage of the full moon power?

Do you want to make use of the one tool at the Progressive's disposal not yet under control of the Bush Regime?

Okay then. This transiting Moon offers us the opportunity to send a message with an astral power punch, such an optimum time to pour it on!

The Summer of our Discontent

The Chart
Walter Cronkite, I have heard him deliver the news to the People since the early 1950's. I listened once again to this wise man recently on "CNN NewsNight with Aaron Brown," his observations echoing the voices I hear on the streets, in the stores, at the grocery checkout counter. 'There are no Weapons of Mass Destruction, we were lied to, thousands of innocent Iraqi people have died, thousands of Iraqi people maimed. Thousands more abused now on a daily basis, treated with disrespect.' Cronkite's words quietly delivered made me feel okay, I'm not nuts, there is something really really wrong in America. Here this venerable wise man is returning to a weekly column so he might speak up about the unanswered questions the People are asking and our leaders aren't answering, stepping up to the plate at 89, calling it as he sees it. By his seeing the need for someone to step up , is a damning indictment of the American Journalists of today who have forsaken their Journalistic Creed and have participated in the grand deception of the American People with their cowardice, compliance, and greed.

The People's Moon

Chart

The most fertile moon of the season, and it's void of course, which means anything 'initiated' during this time is sewn in chaos and confusion and doomed to failure. This void of course condition is going to be in effect through Tuesday, July 1, 9:13 AM EDT. So as the NeoCon salvo's started sailing in Washington today, the Moon was already doing her thing, here is the first round of lunacy:

Frist Endorses Idea of Gay Marriage Ban
(Reuters) - The Senate majority leader said Sunday he supported a proposed constitutional amendment to ban homosexual marriage in the United States. Sen. Bill Frist, R-Tenn., said the Supreme Court's decision last week on gay sex threatens to make the American home a place where criminality is condoned. The court on Thursday threw out a Texas law that prohibited acts of sodomy between homosexuals in a private home, saying that such a prohibition violates the defendants' privacy rights under the Constitution.

Now this bit of lunacy:

According to Abbas, immediately thereafter Bush
said: "God told me to strike at al Qaida and I
struck them, and then he instructed me to
strike at Saddam, which I did, and now I am
determined to solve the problem in the Middle
East. If you help me I will act, and if not,
the elections will come and I will have to
focus on them."

"ROAR" the new moon in Leo

First this message from Gaia....
It has been roughly 73,000 years and counting since the last time Mars, moved into such close proximity with our terra firma, the last time of his visitation resembled aremeggadon, hmm..pause for thought isn't it? Super Volcano's, we have one in our own backyard, it's called Yellowstone. Just a little itty bitty reminder that when Sumatra blew it's stack with our Mars envoy scientists estimated the earths population at around 1.5 million (million not billion), when the ash settled mankind numbered around twenty-three thousand. We're just a tad volatile and that's geophysically. Japan is experiencing horrendous earthquakes, each seems larger than the last. Our weather extremes worldwide have caused widespread death, damage and destruction from floods, fires, and the Finger's of God, twister's pummeling Tornado Alley. Be wise. The date, August 27, 2003, and like all of you I would like it to pass without triggering Gaia's temper.

West Coast State of Mind

A West Coast state of Mind
Full Moon August 11, 2003 San Francisco, California

Picture that tall cool blonde, ice goddess her eyebrow raised in haughty distain. Thus we find the moon upon the 12th House Cusp in Aquarius at 19 degrees. While the circus atmosphere pervades the airwaves, the Hollywood hype has piqued the attention of the nation, the Californians are awakened, angry, have had enough of the song and dance routines, now they are running amuck ala Clint Eastwood as Dirty Harry, come on make our day. Californians are looking for answers, the People have had it, enough, they are on a roll. Mars and Uranus are running amuck throughout the 12th House of secrets, confinements, things that have been hidden, man they're in the spotlight now. The moon, the cold icy bitch says let me show you what is in the 12th house, let me tell you the dark secrets contained here. Her Sister Ceres sits on the IC, 0 degrees Cancer dignified in her own house. The power of the feminine, the anger of mothers, the reclaiming of squandered resources, the focus on home, family, in restoring rather than destroying of society and of earths resources and peoples.

BBQ's and Bombs

New Moon 4 Virgo 2, Washington DC
August 27, 2003 1:26 PM EDT
by Morgana Seawalker

The chart.
It looks like a party in Virgo . Tightly squeezed in between a Leo cusp at 13 degrees, which will color this crowd loud, boisterous, blustery, bombastic, a cacaphony of voices raised world wide. The 9th House has intercepted the sign of Virgo all of it, it leads off with the 9th House cusp 13 Leo and the 10th House cusp 01 Libra. The players in this drama are the New Moon, Sun, Jupiter, Venus, and a Mercury gone retrograde pedalling backwards to wreak more havoc on society and mankind and who just happens to be ruler of the house go Loki. I'm going to note the obvious here. Justice, Religion, International Law are highlighted by the 9th House, the things that our headlines are made up of this morning, and for many more mornings to come. The barbaric stoneing sentence in Nigeria only serves to amplify the savage religious extremes in the world today and I'd include Sharon, Arafat, and the Bush Administration in that class of religious zealots, not to forget the other bad boyz Osama and Saddam, not to forget the huge golden calf in Alabama being worshipped in the state house, the 10 Commandment Monolith. Folks have to have God/Goddess/It within not without, but these folks don't get it. I still think we are seeing the end of the Piscean Age in it's death throes as Aquarius ushers in a spirituality that is in harmony with all. Religions just can't go on the way they are today. Pedophile priests a centuries old tradition has gotta go, sorry Pope find someplace else to stick your dicks other then helpless children.

Harvest Moon

Moon 17 Pisces 33
By Morgana Seawalker

So America what are we harvesting? "We the People", the Moon.

Full Moon chart

From Dane Rudhyar, Pisces 18, the Sabian Symbol is; "In a gigantic tent, villagers witness a spectacular performance.

Keynote: The collective appeal of a well staged and exciting display of skill and/or oratory.

At first, Marc Jones interpreted the "gigantic tent" as the locale for a revivalist's meeting; later he suggested a circus tent instead. In a sense, the basic meaning is the same. Whether it is the traditional performance of skilled clowns or animal trainers, or that of a religious fundamentalist dramatizing an old religious imagery, what takes place is the use of personal achievement and conviction to bring a crowd to a state of enthusiasm sufficient to make it forget it's boredom with everyday routine or its familiar sins of commission or omission.

At the Third Stage of the seventieth five-fold sequence, the individual person and the collectivity are brought together in a significant performance which subtly strengthens the communal spirit directly or indirectly. The implication of the symbol, whenever it is found operating, is that the time has come for the individual to dare to present himself and his works to his community for applause, or for the purpose of attracting a following. What is suggested is PUBLIC SELF-DRAMATIZATION."

Okay the leaves are turning, burned to a crisp by triple digit temperatures in California, the East Coast has become 'Waterworld', who knew Costner was so psychic? Mexico whacked by yet another hurricane, on top of a Super Typhoon leveling Korea. Anyone notice the giant ice shelf crash ? 'They said the Ward Hunt Ice Shelf, on the north coast of Ellesmere Island in Canada's Nunavut territory, broke into two main parts, themselves cut through with fissures. A freshwater lake drained into the sea, the researchers reported.'

October Full Moon

Full Moon Rising US Transits
October 10, 2003
Washington,DC
00:37 AM
Moon 16 Aries

The Full Moon is:
Square the US Sun
Square the US Mercury
Sextile the US Mars
in Opposition to the US Saturn
in Parallel to the US Neptune
is conjunct to the US Chiron, and
finally in a trine with the US Asc.

The mood or energy for a full moon in Aries is aggressive passion emanating from the US 4th House, the home house of the common People, that's the 98% of us left out of Bush's tax break, those whose children come home in body bags. Also take note here that Venus has changed signs and now sits at 0 degrees Scorpio starting it's transit of the US 11th House, home of the House and Senate. Another highlight which is a big player is transiting Saturn spanking the US Sun, Georgie Boy. Transiting Uranus 29 Aquarius still in a close tango with transiting Mars 0 Pisces, both being found in the US 3rd House of communication and travel, home of the press.

The Mad Moon, Snow Moon

The Full Moon name for the Scorpio moon as described by Native Americans as the Mad Moon, the Colonial name was the Snow Moon. Both names aptly describe the attributes of this lunar eclipse.

The new moon on October 25, 2003 loaded the U.S. 11th House with the Sun, Moon, and Mercury in Scorpio doing a group hug, okay it was a mnage trios in the Capitol with Tom Delay and Bill Frist, Mercury is talking all about it. Weve heard for two weeks about the 87 billion dollar blank check given to Bush and his pack of bumbling looters. We have seen abortion rights upended and the Republicans have, through their greed machine, devalued the U. S. dollar. Euro anyone? Now we are sending 100,000 U.S. Marines back to Iraq, rotation not. Our allies cant pull their troops out fast enough. Global warming has arrived despite Bushs EPA document editing. Just because you delete it from a report oh Cee student from Yale, does not change the reality. Blonde right? California went up in flames, Southern California that is, Republican style, Ahrnolds stronghold. Among other revelations preceding this full moon, we have learned that Iraq made overtures to the Pentagon to avert war, saying plainly we have NO Weapons of Mass Destruction. Not credible enough, stall tactic says Bush. Bull says the rest of the world, no WMD, Hans Blix says, nope as well. One more time George you sold us the war on WMD and how Iraq was going to blow the snot out of us, not how bad a man Saddam is, bad rulers are rampant, look in the mirror bucko. The people of Iraq have no rights to privacy. We bust in their homes at will, terrorizing women and children. Reminds me of the great Indian Wars when the US Army slaughtered Native American women and children while the warriors were away, oh its the Israelis that do that now. Georges latest bit of sound byte flimflam with the barbaric torture of prisoners appears no different then other Islamic Nations, we are just more civilized, we use gas chambers and hangmans nooses, firing squads, and who knows what atrocities are foisted on the prisoners at Gitmo, get it, its not on American soil, thus our rules dont apply to Rummy in his realm with Ashcroft continuing to horrify Lady Justice. I am far more horrified by George Bushs actions, then Islamic or Judaic Law.

Moondoggle Boondoggle

Gore to Endorse Dean! Hot damn they've got cajones! Okay so it warms the cockles of my heart that Gore is endorsing Dean. I recently gave up my 'not affiliated but registered' voter status and signed on to the Democrats side. So in answer to 'The Mountain Astrologer" magazine's question, 'Does my political affiliation affect my astrological interpretations'. Yes. I moan when they do something stupid, when waiting a day makes the difference. I rejoice when I see a chart like the one for the Gore to Endorse Dean announcement. I'm thrilled with the anticipation of their making the announcement in Harlem, New York which might also bring in my all time favorite Bill Clinton, the locale is just too too tempting. Then I decided to take a look at how a Dean and Gore friendship would look, how one would influence the other.

Mother Goose

I have a whole new appreciation for old Mother Goose.

The Moon representing the mood or state of the People was twenty-nine degrees Aries fifty-nine minutes as 2004 came in the door. Red, bold what part of pinnacle of power did we miss? This dynamic energy is supposedly indicative of the American People. Hmmm, looks like 2004 has all the earmarks of another emotionally roiling and potentially devastating year.

Seeds of Change

While the waning moon gave way to utter darkness George W. Bush spoke to all of America as to the State of our Nation. I listened to his well read speech, seeing the sheer pleasure his words brought to his associates countenances. Their heads nodding in agreement drooling over their good fortune, hands applauding with wild abandon knowing theyll reap the same rewards for good or ill that their faux leader brings upon them. He cast down the bloodied gauntlet, smiling, taunting the Democrats, The People, egging us on. I got the image of this great ape beating his breast, boasting of his fabricated successes and I thought how pathetic, he blew off The People. He taunts us to stop his agenda as he reduces thousands of Americans lives to poverty. Bush portrayed in living color everything that has gone wrong with America. With the morning dawn the East Coast pundits were already spinning his dismal performance. What was so blatant was Republican greed and disregard for life, human or otherwise. What Bush drove home was the separation of classes, by race, religion, sexual orientation and the almighty dollar. Every child who doesnt measure up forever has his/her test scores attached to their educational records to follow them through out their academic careers (loser, loser, loser). These will be the first to spill their blood on foreign shores

New Moon Madness

The chart looks terrific, a triple grand water trine, all that great flowing energy. Right, Saturn in Cancer is trine the Moon/Sun at 1 Pisces 4 which is conjunct Uranus at 2 Pisces 41, trine the Midheaven (MC) at 4 Scorpio.

We find the Moon/Sun Uranus conjunction in the 2nd House. This flowing energy connects to Saturn which is bringing hard lessons to bear upon our country and people. This energy then links itself to the MC which is the House of the President. We find within that house the South Node, or as my Mother called it, the Dragon's Tail. Here is one of the areas where we will see the manifestation of Saturns power in living color. All the dark nasty secrets will come spilling out.

Into the Fullmoon Night we danced
Spirits danced we danced
Joining hands we danced
Joining souls rejoice.

Tonight as the full moon rose in Washington D.C at 6:14 PM, 16 Virgo 43. Americans of every spiritual persuasion turned the floodlights upon the U. S. A Season of Change

Spring Equinox March 20, 2004
1:49 AM Washington, DC

Cast off the mantle of Winter. That cold, fear inducing, mind numbing emotion which creates depression and serves to debilitate you. Be done with 'oh woe is me', 'woe unto us'. Phooey.

How powerful a seed time we have with this Spring Equinox (Spring Ingress, Vernal Equinox, Oestara) and a new moon. How ironic that Bush celebrates his ultimate failure with the Iraq Debacle in the darkest phase of the passing season and waning moon. All his bravado and bushpucky will be lost in the abyss of darkness. How refreshing to see the media, journalists admit 'fear impacted their reporting' during the Iraqi War. "Fear of being out of sync with a punitive government'. (Full story).

The Night has a Thousand Eyes

The Full Moon of April 5, 2004
Moon 16 Libra 00
7:03 AM Washington D.C.

The full moon shines in all her brilliance where millions of eyes are trained on the U.S. 10th House, the house of the pResident. The drama unfolding reveals the depth of corruption in our government. The coming days are chock full of revelations; Condi Rice on the hot seat, John Dean's new book revealing the impeachable offenses committed by George W. Bush, all exploding in sound bytes and scenting the waters with blood as the press circles like sharks in a feeding frenzy.

While the moon waxed full in Libra seeking balance and justice it ignited the U.S. n. Saturn in the U.S. 10th House. Natal Saturn is energized by conjunction demanding real answers from the Chief Executive and his regime. Further, the t. Sun (symbolic of the pResident) in opposition to t. Moon also tripped the trigger of the U.S. n. Saturn making an opposition. Rather like confronting a stubborn jackass whose braying only serves to dig him deeper into a web of lies and dis-information.

Painting the Nation Blue

Full Blue Moon July 31, 2004
2:05 PM Washington,DC
8 Aquarius 51

What a boon for John Kerry and John Edwards as they set forth to paint the Nation Blue. Unbeknownst to them, the energies in play can be worked in their favor. We won't be seeing another opportunity like this until June 30th 2007.

From Dane Rudhyar's work, "An Astrological Mandala", the Sabian symbol for 9 Aquarius is, "A flag is turned into an eagle. Keynote: The dynamic incorporation of new social values in individuals who exemplify the spiritual potential and greatest signficance of these values. "

"All that is implied here is the vitalization of a powerful symbol, its embodiment in a living reality, i.e. in a person able to fly in consciousness to the highest spiritual realm. The archetype is given living substance and wings. The Image has become a Power."

"This fourth stage symbol as usual gives us a technical suggestion. To 'see' the new archetype, to perceive the new standard of value with one's mind is not enough. The seer must become the doer. The impersonal is dynamized and brought into focus. We have here the ACTING OUT of the vision."

Summer in the City

August 29, 2004, New York City
Full Moon 21 Pisces

Summer in the City
The Lovin' Spoonful

(John Sebastian - Mark Sebastian - Steve Boone)

Hot town, summer in the city
Back of my neck getting dirty and gritty
Been down, isn't it a pity
Doesn't seem to be a shadow in the city
All around, people looking half dead
Walking on the sidewalk, hotter than a match head

The sounds of hundreds of thousands of Anti-Bush voices will echo in the canyons of Manhattan's skyscrapers. Their chants, civil disobedience, banners and signs carrying the message that Bush lied, the People died and no amount of blood can wash his sins away. As She waxes full on this hot steamy night in the City on the eve of the Republican National Convention the idealism of a Pisces full Moon washes across the landscape. Yet rising in the night sky a T Square forms like a dark apparition. It's focal point, Pluto. Plutonian energy once more moving in direct motion again setting the stage for radical change.

Season of the Storm

New Moon 22 Virgo
September 14, 2004
Washington, DC

We've all been watching the onslaught of major hurricanes that are plowing into Florida, the Gulf Coast Region, and the South Eastern Coastline of the United States. Week after week after week through out the month of August and into September these storms have formed and marched across the Atlantic to pound the shoreline of JEB's beloved state.

Right now Ivan is bearing down on the Gulf Coast threatening to inundate and anihilate the people who live along its volatile coastline. One wonders if the true death toll will be obscured as it was with Charley and Frances when hundreds of undocumented immigrants died in those demolished trailer parks.

Total Eclipse ends at 11:45 PM
Partial Eclipse ends at 00:54

"Eclipses in a fixed sign manifest suddenly, violently and appear to have a correlation with physical upheaval." Recent studies in both the U.S. and Japan indicate that powerful high tides can be correlated to more frequent and larger earthquakes. "Strong Earth tides can trigger earthquakes, scientists report"

The duration of an eclipses influence seems to correspond to the number of hours and minutes an eclipse lasts. A solar eclipse equates to years, and lunar eclipse equates to months. The eclipse path falls across Western North America slicing through Texas, and covering Eastern Europe, Africa and the Middle East. For a graphical view of the eclipse path and the eclipse progression check out Planetary Systems Branch - Code 693 at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt . Rising from the Ashes

Making the assumption that nothing derails Dr. Dean in the next few hours he can become 'The Leader' of the Democratic Party. Times have changed, the stakes have risen, so too the political playing field is no longer controlled by weak spined Beltway insiders that do not speak with the People's Voice.

Chart

The Democratic Party transit chart finds Chiron 29 Capricorn 17 inconjunct the DP Ascendent. The DP finds itself re-alligning its self image, redefining itself. The change was forced upon the DP after it died on November 2, 2004 when George Bush was freely "elected" and the DP party pronounced dead by television pundits universally. Ah, but here's the rub, unlike some of their personal philosophies on death, where rebirth isn't on the table, politics plays by universal rules and from death there is rebirth. The DP folks have spent their time gestating, their vast sea of 49 million angry blue folks found their voices in the blogsphere (gotta love Aquarius right now) while pundits reveled in disecting the death throes of the Democratic Party, their attitude served only to further energize the DP base rather than bury it.

So much happening everywhere from Gaia stirring, winds howling, the Sun frying, the waters rising, puts us in mind of the bards of our time Bob Dylan's "Times They Are A-Changin" and CCR's "Bad Moon Rising".

The news just keeps getting worse, that constant drip, drip, drip of American blood, Iraqi blood, Afghani blood, Palestinian blood, Israeli blood, African blood, the blood of the People.

To add more to the American image look what Rummy's up to ~

Last week, Yasser Salihee, a reporter for Knight Ridder news agency, was assassinated in a perfectly executed gangland-style hit a few miles outside of Baghdad. He was struck by a single bullet to the head by an American sniper. Salihee's murder resulted from his extensive coverage of the torture and murder of "suspected insurgents" by US-backed death-squads.

New Moons are known for planting seeds and initiating new ventures. Well not this new moon!!! This is the driest, hottest (no kidding triple digits) and barren sign for our moon. Do not plant anything while the moon is in Leo. It's a good time for killing weeds and pests or cultivating what has already been planted.

Add a Mercury retrograde conjunct the new moon in Leo all of which trines the north Lunar Node at 15 Aries retrograde (rx) lurking in the 12th House. We have been so setup for conspiracies, subversions and secret organizations by this band of thugs something more spilling out in this arena of influence won't surprise any of us!

Big Mama on the Big Easy

Hurricane Katrina fizzled as tropical depression #10 dissipating into a few meandering clouds, written off as dead and done. The clouds continued to drift and feed on the warm waters of the Bahamas finally making its way to the southeastern Florida coastline where it feasted on the warm currents spinning it up into a Cat 1 storm. Losing little strength Katrina re-entered the Gulf of Mexico and now has spun up to be one Big Mama growing by the hour and taking aim on the Big Easy.

A Call for Accountability

New Moon in Virgo
September 3, 2005
2:45 PM EDT
Washington, D.C.

Americans are reeling over the collosal failure of our bloody Republican government in the face of this natural disaster. Stunned, shocked, horrified and furious at the lack of a timely response to Katrina. Their failure cost thousands and thousands of lives, once again only this time the horror is on our own shores. The only thing on his mind is the OIL flow (everything Neptunian, oil, deceit, chicanery, lies) getting the life blood flowing or America will come to a screeching stop.

I actually expected to see on my television screen at day break the United States Military helicopters, troops, swift rafts descending upon New Orleans. Troops with axes hacking through roofs to rescue the living. the hundred thousand or more. Saving them before the waters rose, before it would be too late. It hasn't happened as the new moon is nigh upon us as I write. Hollywood wasn't even close. The Times-Picayune was.

Sunday Morning Moonlight

Harvest Moon Saturday 10:01 PM EDT
September 17, 2005 Washington D.C.

Out of the backfield comes Big Dawg who dominated the Sunday Morning talk shows today. Former President Bill Clinton spilled moonlight on the darkest corners of the failed Bush Administration. He provided the current pResident a blueprint to to bail out America's patootie which is hanging naked in the wind and gave the Democrats a playbook to follow.. Here is a link to both 'Meet the Press' with Tim Russert and 'This Week' with George Stephanopolis interviewing Bill Clinton transcripts are on Daily KOS.

The Sting

New Moon 9 Scorpio
8:35 PM Washington DC

Chilly night in Washington D.C. eh? The cold Scorpio new moon conjunct the sun impacted the U.S. 11th House. Senator Harry Reid in an impressive Scorpio sting move came out of left field slapping the Republican leadership upside the head with a frigid dose of cold hard reality.

The new moon is joined in the 11th with Jupiter making it's presence felt adding an explosive factor to the mix creating a megadrama in the hallowed halls of the US Senate Chambers. That's the ole Scorpio sting, it's a gotcha.

Season's Misgivings America

Back on Decembers new Moon, the Moon was in the US 12th House, things that are hidden, clandestine groups, confinements, incarerations and opposed the US Uranus. The other shoe is in free-fall, when and where it lands is the stuff popcorn it made for.

Before Mercury went Direct all kinds of hidden secrets came spilling out of the 12th. The depth and breadth of Republican corruption continues to spew out and appall all but the staunchest rightwing nut cases and feed the media blood lust frenzy, which also carries the latest disaster 24x7.

Red Meat

Ok so Dr. Dean threw some red meat at the grass roots this morning on Wolf Blitzer's Late Edition, at this writing the transcripts are not available for a link. Dr. Dean wearing a blue shirt, red tie, flag lapel pin (the psychology of clothing) was on the mark countering Wolfie at each turn. One item he missed was covered by Knight Rider, splashed on the front page of our Sunday morning paper, The San Jose Mercury News, below the latest shooting of a police officer, the headline ran, "Bush Quietly undercuts laws with bill signing statement". The lead is, "Washington- President Bush agreed with great fan fare last month to accept a ban on torture, then he later quietly reserved the right to ignore it, even as he signed it into law.

If you think the most recent revelations about our GOP led government trolling and mining the phone calls of 10 million American Al Qaeda is disconcerting watch what spills out of the US 12th House now that Hecate's energy is loosed in the subconscious. The full moon is powered by Heca, Heka, Hecate the wise goddess of wisdom who uplifts and destroys the machinations of men by Her word. Hugging the Porcelain Goddess

New Moon 5 Gemini
Saturday, May 27th
Washington DC

New Moons with its dark face are often the times when we hear things 'that go bump in the night' to be revealed in the pale light of dawn as a waking horror. Good morning America. We're hugging the porcelain goddess.

In some circles it's been said that the veils between the worlds are the thinest during the Samhain and Beltane seasons. If we listen we can hear the voices of the dead speak. Whether we are standing reverently before the USS Arizona a ghostly reminder from that bloody day 7th December 1941, or we find ourselves gazing upon the Eternal Flame marking John F. Kennedy's resting place in Arlington Cemetary amid a sea of crosses, the Nations attention is drawn to the sacrifices of our heros and leaders. Others will find themselves this Memorial Day on the hot dusty roads of Iraq with its many small villages such as Haditha. Still others upon the hallowed ground of the WTC. Each remembering.

Had Enough ?

While most of the US alternately sweltered and fried, the longest day of the year was too long for many. The skies above Washington DC as the Sun entered Cancer on Summer Solstice reinforced what We already knew and drives it home, earths it, grounds it. Like Global Warming has arrived doh! A Fixed Grand Cross ushers in the next three months. This is a tight configuration where we have at least four planets square one another, here we have those, plus our new Cancer Sun finds itself in opposition to Pluto and its scurrying lil banty legs are hustling into the 12th House hiding out cloaked in secrecy.

The New Moon at 2 Leo comes just after midnight in Washington DC at 0:31 AM a time when the nation and world are roiling under a record breaking heat wave tsunami style west coast to east. European cities are posting all time high records, and American people are still questioning if Global Warming is a reality. That nasty national delusional bugger is t. Neptune p. The Voice of the People

When the polls closed in Connecticut on August 8, 2006 at 8pm EDT an earthquake rocked the Democratic Party as the last voice had spoken.

The Democratic Party was founded on May 13, 1792 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A noon time is used since we do not have the actual time of formation. The Democratic Party Sun is in Taurus 23 degrees, stable, powerful, enduring. It's Moon 28 Aquarius, socially progressive, driven more by ideas then emotions, volatile and diverse. It's ascendent 29 Leo 52.

Mega powerful aspects were in play in the run up to the Connecticut primary signaling a transformation within the People's Party. Transiting Saturn conjunct the transiting Sun in Leo, conjuncted, smacked upside the head, the natal Democratic Uranus. Transiting Pluto, the Ruler of Hades, a big player trines the Democrats natal Saturn in Aries, and inconjuncts the natal Sun in Taurus.

Impeachment

The American psyche is overloaded. What exactly would impeachment do to Americans, to the Nation? Some say it would divide the country. Its already divided, no water to that argument. What else? Oh, not enough time left in the GOP Reign of Terror to stop them. Ok so each day they continue to slaughter, maim and destroy with impunity around the world, while Nancy and her gang are going to wait them out, use the war as a tool for the next election to insure a Democratic win. Nancy should first sweep up the pieces of confetti that George has strewn across the Capitol which he made from the Gawd damnd piece of paper, the U.S. Constitution. Meanwhile We the People will keep on working, paying our mortgages, our utilities, paying for food, medical care, and putting clothes upon our children, each and every day. Our food supply is unsafe, our pharmaceutical industry is corrupt and our prescriptions can kill us. The entire infrastructure from roads, dams and highways, to bridges, electrical grids and aging levees are a recipe for disaster, localized, and adding additional financial hardship to regions already suffering from job loss and out sourcing. Let alone ignoring Global Warming while England goes the way of New Orleans, and have we lifted a finger to help them? Have we collected donations to aid the Brits? There is not one sacred corner of our American psyche that George W. Bush has not befouled with his greed and delusions of godliness. When the smoke clears and the shards of the mirrors are swept away, the reality of depth of their treason will be clear in the light of the moon.

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse August 28, 2007, 6:35 AM Washington, DC

The full moon blazed from moonrise near to dawn in the sign of Pisces, I Believe. Shining brightly illuminating humankinds minds and dreams, leaving visions and epiphanies etched upon our souls as the moon traversed her path through the starry canopy above. Just at moonset the face of the moon is darkened, her visage masked, the Moon is hidden in the Earths shadow masking her from the glare of the Virgo Sun cresting the horizon. Fluid, mercurial as the moons shroud drops away, changes appear as wisps of fog, ideas flow and we will have all been touched.

Reap the Wind

Autumnal Ingress
Sunday, September 23, 2007
5:52 AM Washington DC

The Suns movement into the four cardinal signs each year, mark important transitions in regards to seasonal changes and represent the four angles of the zodiac. The Suns entrance into these signs sends a message. A new moment of experience commences. This phenomenon is known as the Solar Ingress. Ingresses, in comparison to a nations natal chart, are often potent in their ability to foreshadow what a nation can expect to develop over the next three months. Claudia Dikinis, Star Cats.

Harvest of times past evoke memories of family gatherings with friends and neighbors, football games and the smell of hot apple cider scenting the air redolent with decaying leaves and wood smoke. Halloween decorations of orange and black appear in our local stores, fall is here. We drive down the highway seeing row upon row of pumpkins along the coastal strand their orange color stark against the dry earth under a relentless sun. Scarecrows stand guard over freshly harvested fields. The time of reaping is upon us.

The day of the dark night of the moon my pc graphics card died. Now I have a fulltime relationship with my machine, and I am suddenly blind. Since I rarely believe squat scripted by the cable/network news guys, there are exceptions, Olbermanns show being that rare light in the darkness, and the yummy rumor Rachel Maddow may replace Tuckers tired rightwing rhetoric. I grabbed the opportunity to drive over the hill to the local techie box store with my husband in tow to translate.

Once down off the mountain we drove by several of the big upscale shopping malls and there was abundant parking, everywhere we passed. No one is shopping? It felt like a time warp. The Christmas tree lots full of lights and trees, the street lamps decorated for the holidays. The Great American Middle Class engine has gone splutter, splutter, pfft.

Winter Solstice 2007
December 22, 2007 1:08 am
Washington, D.C.

The Capricorn Ingress, Winter Solstice heralds the onset of Winter as America shivers from coast to coast and roils angrily from within.

The First House of a nations chart is the most important. The collective is stronger than the individual and is therefore considered fated. National myths, a nations self image, characteristics of the populace, and the evolution of a nation combine to form the archetypes of the national collective unconscious. From this point of view, groups are swept along cyclic tides often foreshadowed by eclipses, lunations, and ingresses. The group, bonded to the whole, lack the self criticism of the individual. When a nation under goes psychic infection, then war, dictatorships, and the dissolution of the state in favor of a new identity may occur. Map boundaries shift and change. History is most often written by the conqueror. Not the conquered. Claudia Dikinis Starcats Astro-law.

The energies building up to the Winter Solstice are manifesting already with riots in New Orleans continuing as the victims of Katrina fight to save their homes and businesses from destruction. The Lakota Sioux fed up with abuse and broken treaties by the US have seceded from the US, their land encompassing parts of the reddest States in America. California is suing the Federal government with 16 States lining up behind it in a fight to address Global Warming and environmental standards weakened by a corrupt EPA. The Dollar drops daily, Recession is here and alive as the US financial structure teeters on destruction here and in Europe from the sub-prime shell game.

The Winter Solstice coupled with a waxing full moon the evening of the day after impacts the US First house bang bang. Tri Chart.

The Winter Solstice Sun at 0 Capricorn is conjunct, glued to, as one with 0 degree Jupiter. Then this pair is amplified like book ends with Pluto 28 Sagittarius empowering them with Mercury then at 2 Capricorn blazing a path to carry this transformation forward concretely. Mars Rx. grows toward an opposition with the Sun Jupiter dynamic duo infusing deep seated anger being revealed in the cold light and absorbed into the collective consciousness. Mars cold clocks the US n. Venus where we see again Big Pharma taking another life.

The Mid-heaven just passed the U.S. Sun describing a weakening influence. Watching George play fast and loose with words blatantly implying, I paraphrase here, We torture, what of it, get over it, his people tell a judge, well your ruling doesnt cover these torture tapes, these were done in a secret prisons where torture does occur, just because you didnt know of the existence of secret torture sites is your bad, were legit. Then we go on to get a vignette of George on the heels of the torture question that he is spreading American goodwill and freedom to other nations. Like the Lakotas?

The next few months will see more seeds of change breaking the frozen ground of America.

The good news is we will have the presidential primaries to distract us, and Jamie Spears to entertain our youth. Happy Whatevers.

Spring Ingress 2008

Astrology is the Science of the Kings in ancient times, and astrologers told what was happening to the Nation.

I would rather be talking about the significance of the Spring Ingress and setting into motion positive changes for the next three months. Yet the most compelling aspect to the SI chart in the skies over our Nation’s capital involves a tight square forming between the SI Sun and transiting Pluto. Pluto whose march through the US 1st House begun on 9/11 as it crossed the US Ascendant unleashing a breadth of destruction impacting all that we thought we were as a Nation, and snuffing out the image of us as a light on a hill.

Change is in Your Hands

Full Moon chart

A grand earth trine shimmers over the Capital Dome, sunrise streaks the morning sky and the course of our country rests in our hands. The zero degree Scorpio Full Moon opposing a zero degree Taurus Sun signals a shift in consciousness. Zero degrees of a sign, a new beginning and an initiation of the next phase. The full Moon manifests the completion or culmination of a project or phase and opposing the Sun sets off the grand earth trine. The extreme potency of this grand earth trine with its critical degrees has the focusing aspect of Saturn Rx. 1 degree Virgo, and Pluto Rx. 1 degree Capricorn which focuses the Plutonic energies, and fosters a deepening of awareness in the American psyche.

Younger than the mountains

Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West virginia, mountain momma
Take me home, country roads"

Words and music by Bill Danoff, Taffy Nivert and John Denver

That little ditty of John Denver's, "Take Me Home, Country Roads" is playing over and over in my head as I ponder today whether WVA is as racist as it has been presented in the news media, or if this is just one more instance where traditional media has delineated Americans by a yardstick of color, class, education, location, or some other dismissive classification. We are One America all suffering from the mistakes of the Republican Party and their leaders.

Saturday Morning Coffee

On Friday, May 16 George Bush as the US of A, agreed to help Saudi Arabia protect its oil from terrorist attack, while offering to back conservative Arab countries resisting Iranian influence that is spreading across the Middle-East. All of these tasty offers of US military might failed to persuade King Abdullah to boost Saudi oil production, since Venezuela and Mexico have cut back on oil deliveries. So Georgie Boy went to the desert Kingdom of Saudi Arabia who has the US of A by the cajones thus rendering their boy toy George impotent.

Summer Solstice 2008

Summer Solstice 2008
June 20, 2008

If you’ve been shocked and astounded the last three months by the level of destruction both natural and man made, the next three months hold more of the same. Transiting Uranus at 22 Pisces squares the US n. Mars, it is opposing Neptune and trine the US n. Mercury. Uranus can be a vehicle of sudden destruction or the initiator of brilliance and genius. Mercury’s fluidity accelerates the process and spreads the effects world wide.

The Summer Solstice Sun, the “I Feel” is coming off an opposition to transiting Pluto which has systematically rendered obsolete everything we once believe America to be, and we don’t ‘feel’ so good lately.

The next three months will be filled with seething anger, sudden violence, mass destruction and scientific break through on many fronts. These energies can manifest in the form of war, violent storms, geological upheaval, and the discovery that your own T Cells can cure cancer such as the melanoma.

Sword of Damocles

Dangling over the heads of government in the United States like the Sword of Damocles a Mutable Grand Cross shimmered over Washington DC as the GOP of the South virtually destroyed the Northern Industrial belt and insured far darker times will bring this once great nation to her knees. Under the glare of the klieg lights Southern GOP Senators pontificated, obsfuscated and showed the world what absolute bleep bleep bleep they are, with the Sword of Damocles over head.

Consequences

New Moon Annular Solar Eclipse 6 Aquarius
January 26 2009 2:55 am est
Washington DC

The annular solar eclipse with this new moon is most powerful where it is visible. The potency is amplified by a separating conjunction with Jupiter in Aquarius. The eclipse spot lights Southern Africa, Australia, Southeast Asia, Indonesia and the Indian Ocean basin. Solar eclipses are ominous, often tied to the fall of the mighty, Kings, Governments and Nations.

The entire world is morphing before our eyes witnessing the worldwide economic collapse, regime change in the United States, the over throw of the Icelandic government leadership, the Brits have lost faith in their leadership. A worldwide Ponzi scheme gone bust.

Uncle Dicky

Uncle Dicky appeared on CNN this morning touting that he and Bushboy accomplished what they set out to do. He has forewarned Americans that another terror attack is on the way. And he would know, you know, as he and George Bush co-ordinated, conspiring with the Royal Bin Ladens to stage the carnage of September 11, 2001 and they are planning more death to Americans. That he remains free to terrorize our country along with his Republican minions is mind numbing. It is not enough that Dick and George left thousands of New Orleanians to drown, to suffer and to die after surviving Hurricane Katrina and the floods which ensued after suspicious levee breaks by installing them in poisonous trailers, denying assistance and even withheld foreign assistance so to maximize the destruction of the people, well the poor people actually, and the people of color.

Power Struggles

Summer Solstice 2009
1:46 AM EDT
June 21, 2009
Washington DC

The signature energy for the Summer Solstice/Ingress of 2009 is a Power Struggle. The aspect that jumps out is the Cancer Sun forming an opposition to Pluto. The next three months will be flavored by the struggle for power. The type of struggles that make you take a stand for your position. The Persian people come to mind. The push and pull of lobbyists, powerful interest groups think AIPAC, AMA, Wall Street, and We the People pushing back.

With the Suns entrance into the Cardinal signs it sends a message, and a new moment of experience commences. The Solar Ingress chart is potent in its ability to foreshadow what a nation can expect to develop over the next three months, yet we may not see its completion for several years as events play out, to paraphrase Starcats.

We can already sense the next three months are going to be chock full of excitement and drama. The Solar Ingress Sun is forming an opposition with Pluto adding excessive punch to the aspects they make. Venus and Mars in Taurus with Saturn in Virgo trine each other with the Taurean earthy sensuous Venus adding passion with a touch of refinement to this earth power play. The Moon conjunct Mercury in Gemini can be easily exemplified with the cell phone, Twitter, Tweet, ReTweet of the Iranian election and uprising of the Persian people and the Nation of Iran as it is today, as they all collectively experience their first Saturn return.

Here is the Summer Ingress Chart for Washington DC.

Summer Time

The full moon eclipse sent energies rippling across the earth. Iranians are kicking up dust in Tehran each day picking up more steam over their rigged elections and seeking to right the wrong. Watching the events unfolding in Iran and in Western China as people take to the streets in protests against their governments reminds me that we did nothing when our Supreme leaders (Court) anointed Bush Boy as King or wait that was President. We could take a lesson in standing up for ourselves. The creative ways people are finding to get information out to the rest of the world about what is happening in their countries using cell phones, IP server hopping and the old fashioned smuggle the film out have been employed so all may see the heavy handed police actions.

The racist acts of the Valley Swim Club in the Philadelphia, PA area, home of Mr. Rick Santorum, and the ever changeable Arlen Specter where fee paying members were told to leave because they were black kids... and could change the complexion of the place. Shocking to see the sick headedness of White Pennsylvanians throw backs to the 60's. The story from NBC.

For the US the eclipse setup a Cardinal Grand Cross hitting the US 2nd, 4th, 8th and 10th Houses, which includes 4 squares and 2 oppositions. The Cardinal energies are easier to handle since they are initiatory, new beginings with great energy.

Moon Shadows

A total eclipse of the Sun occurs when the Moon casts it shadow over the face of the Sun. On July 21-22, 2009 the world experiences a total eclipse of the Sun, the longest in duration at 6 1/2 minutes until June 13 2132. The eclipse first touches the earth by shadowing Afghanistan, India, Malaysia, Indonesia and the volatile Ring of Fire, Oceania, Japan, China, the Koreas and Russia. The path the eclipse take is where its effects will be felt the greatest. Here is an animation of the eclipse path.

Solar eclipses often presage the passing or fall of a leader. Kim Jong Il the leader of North Korea who is said to be suffering from pancreatic cancer finds the eclipse squaring his Moon and forming an inconjunction with his 29 Mars, and conjunct Der Leaders Chiron/Pluto mid-point. Another world figure in a precarious position is Mahmoud Ahmadinejad where we find Iranians protesting and pursuing acts of civil disobedience over their corrupt government and ruling religious leadership. The total eclipse of the Sun squares Ahmadinejads Sun..ouch.

The Bird Word

The recent full moon lunar eclipse ushered in some pretty fiery energy. Bill Clinton, ever classy brought Laura Ling and Euna Lee home ending their long nightmare in North Korea. Cash for clunkers moves forward and the fight for universal health care for every American turns ugly. Jenny Sanford has left King Mark to his mansion in Columbia.

What is so hysterical is all the moldy oldies that the Republicans have scared up who are then bused in to protest and disrupt Town Hall Meetings, all of them are on Medicare! Okay then give it back go try and buy insurance! Lemmings.

Congress Critters on August recess are headed home to attend their district Town Hall Meetings. Town Halls where violent Republican right-wingers with Faux News' blessing, inspired by their bloviated cheer leaders Rush Rush Rush with the Glen Beck orchestra hosted by Shawn Hannity are planning on spreading their hate. SEIU and other Democratic Progressives will greet our Congress Critters one and all, ready to take on the Republican Slime machine. The media outlets are happy to air this insanity ad nauseum. Like all good Republicans when they lose an argument they resort to death threats, and racial slurs. They want you to be afraid, very very afraid. They are the Stepford families who have gone off their meds! What a wild August!

The Distant Clamor of Pots and Pans

Are we irritated, aggravated, agitated, and spitting angry?

New Moon 24 Scorpio
November 16, 2009
2:14 pm, Washington DC

The New Moon/Sun just lit the fuse of the American People as it made a square with us. While these Greater Luminaries hid out in the US 12th House their energies fed into a square with the People, the US n. Moon. Transiting Mercury has talking heads spinning. Voices, thousands, millions bombarding their Congress Critters, their Senators, the POTUS and everyone associated with policy with their emails, phone calls, petitions and demonstrations. During the last phase of the Moons cycle we saw the public clamor explode over Dobbs racism and anti-immigrant statements, his bald faces lies underlying his unhinged obession and hatred of President Obama and his new policies has abruptly departed CNN. CNN once known as the most trusted finds itself only a notch above the Faux News channel in credibility. The power of the consumer who boycotts the advertisers who support hate speech found droves of customers rejecting their products. Bang those pots and pans, make a loud noise as Molly Ivins so often encouraged us to do. The Grass Roots are growing.

Frostbite Falls

The foul winter super storms have placed frosty fingers across a broad swath of the US and those not frozen are soggy. The New Moon and Sun are at 25 Aquarius moving to conjunct Chiron and Neptune at 26 Aquarius. Sharing House space with the Aquarian energy finds Venus at 3 Pisces and Jupiter at 6 Pisces spicing up the House with utopian idealism rooted somewhere in the ethers with Jupiter amplifying the effects. Nothing like wide spread frost and frozen precipitation to say hello Climate Change.

Obama HCR Deux

Net buzz has it that President Obama is going to lay out his plan to get HCR passed based upon both the Senate and House versions of the bill using tactics worthy of his Republican predecessors on Wednesday March 3, 2010. Using a Noon chart here are some of the energies at play. All of these antics should be best enjoyed with a bowl of popcorn and the beverage of your choice.
