A word from Sally.
This is the season of Hope and Miracles or at least we all hold a secret wish, even the most cynical of us celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Las Posadas even New Year's, look up to the stars and what or who is out there we don't understand, or cannot see; is there something or someone out there dispensing hope and miracles and will they dispense them our way? We look for love, and health and prosperity for ourselves and our loved ones; financial security, a job, a new house, a promotion, a child coming home from college or a trip, or the war it's the "coming home safe" that matters; we want peace on earth and "Johnny wants a pair of skates and Suzie wants a dolly, Nellie wants a story book, she thinks dolls are folly" But we peek at the sky and kind of sort of hope our little wish our little miracle would, could be answered or sent, that is if someone is really truly out there that believe in Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and Las Posadas plus all the other December holidays that are out there and keep us believing.
Because of the Astrological work I do I meet a lot of people from all walks of life, and last year in 2008 not much hope was around, so many jobs and homes lost, so much fear and anxiety was around everyone, a lack of hope and a lot of despair for most people, it all seemed pretty gray around the world. Something started to happen in the middle of the year, about the 1st of July, exactly six months before the beginning of 2010. All of us around the world at whatever level our needs or desires seemed to get tired of our own hopelessness and we started believing we could work our way out of whatever our hole might be. We could find a place to live and a way to pay for it, we could find a new job, we could find a way to live, and it seemed to start happening all around the world at least among my clients around the world.
I am looking up this year for everyone and their hopes and dreams and secret wishes because I know they are out there, I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that we cannot stop believing or hoping, we cannot let go of that part of ourselves that keeps our dreams alive. I want you to know that so many of you did not let go of me as what turned out to be something very difficult I had to face overnight, and wow it turned out to be a life and death issue, Bummer!! But you didn’t let go, your good wishes, prayers, cards light and energy held me up this last six months as I strained to breath it all in because I believed your love and caring, your positive energy would save my life, because I didn’t have the strength to talk much or give much to anyone, all I had strength for was to pretend I was stronger than I was, that I wasn’t in that much pain, or felt that weak, and I could push through as I struggled to understand it all and accept it all. I consciously hung on to your hopes for me, and I found out last week I was right to do so and that I was right that you were saving my life and you have to date while I get stronger. Many of my cancer tumors are gone, nearly 85 percent of the “hot spots” on my liver, lung, bladder, and stomach are gone and the larger tumors have shrunk, my body is surviving Chemo; I have a few more treatments lasting through January and then off Chemo for a bit to give my body a rest from the meds, back on and I get the opportunity to “live” with cancer, not “die” of cancer, because of all of you. Don’t believe me? Then you need to dig down to your holiday dreams that have already come true for you. I never believed I would need this type of “dream” or that it could possibly come true for me, but it has, my Christmas Wish came true and you did it, the only way I can thank you is to send you light and energy for your wish along with the others standing strong for you, just let me know your secret wish and hope, together we will get it done this year.

Miracles happen, not in opposition to nature, but in opposition to what we know of nature. (Saint Augustine of Hippo)

I believe it was back in July that I posted..
"Believing is seeing." And now we know for sure how that works!
I "believe you", dancing & singing with joy, while you, "live with cancer", ( that unintuitive medicalspeak)
I am overjoyed, I love you too.

"Both magic and miracles need only for you to believe for them to happen."
Well said, Sally! You are indeed a living example of this. I am very glad to hear that you are indeed living with cancer as you said you would. May you continue to live and to thrive.
There is hope yet that we can indeed change our world for the good of all, if we, too, believe in magic and miracles.

It's so good to hear from you again Sally, especially during this holiday season. Your article takes me back to my old time Christmases when I couldn't get enough of dollies and storybooks. Glad to hear that you're making it down that long road to recovery. Still keeping you in my thoughts and prayers along with the others here - team effort. Wish I could do more. Stay positive and breathe deep and long - prana for health. Don't know if you feel up to it, but some mild Yoga breathing/exercises should help to re-energize you. Sending you lots of love and healing light (and money as soon as I can find it). Keep hopeful and positive.

Sally, Sally, Sally! Wonderful post. And wishes and hopes? I'll share. Mine is a hope for an energetic and dynamic shift of conciousness; one that whacks the heads of those who continue to stir the pot of fear. And one that allows LOVE to be seen as an actual energy as necessary to life as breathing. There is that too much?
One other thing, Sally. . .keep breathing in that LOVE energy we're sending you. And then -- what's that expression -- "Play it Forward?"

Talk of restructuring our global institutions has already begun and at the highest levels of govt. On April 2, the G-20 summit agenda will focus on ways to regulate the financial industries. Also, European leaders are meeting with Pres Obama to discuss effective climate-change measures ahead of Dec's UN conference on the subject. And the International Criminal Court is awakening, as it deals with genocide in Darfur.
Most importantly to [USians], this triple conjunction takes place right on the US Moon (at 25º Aquarius), and so will have a dramatic influence over the American people and their collective mood. At the center is Barack Obama with his Uranus at 25º Leo, as he prudently but dramatically implements fundamental shifts in the way Americans do business, relate to each other, and co-create our collective future. http://politicalastrology.homestead.com/JCN.html

Clymela, i'm going to take you up on this.
An article on Alternet captured much of what we've all talked about over the years. It seems perfectly tuned to the Capricorn in Pluto years, the attempts to hold two opposites -- power and powerlessness. There's a great deal of meat in this, wisdom too.

Sudden unexpected events keep challenging & jamming my serene work flow these days....
I had a creosote blaze in my stove pipe, Fri.
bringing out the local volunteer firemen, ambulance, police.......They disliked the way it had been hooked up and said the logs I was burning were not properly seasoned & the wrong kind of wood........
The retired expert mason they recommended, just assessed the situation.....and left saying; 'He doesn't hook up stove pipe, just builds masonary chimneys.............but he will back to do it Weds afternoon for $10. - 15.!

I stand by my post @ Dec 14 2:36 pm
We here, are unbowed/unbroken.............pulling together to help each other, & all resourceful & used to doing without!
I have now joined the Congregationl Church choir; Sun being my debut. There are 15 choir members, approx 25 adults in the congregation, and at LEAST 15 children ( mostly of 'back to the lander liberals") in the Sunday school, who attend part of the church service. The very liberal minister ( just voted in by the congregation as a permanent minister) had a teaching moment with the children......where he lead them to critically think, that we are all one..Asian, Arab, African.....
The standard protestant ritual dogma, that I left behind so many years ago, grated a bit
but was insignificant in the face of the Central direction the church is moving!
But I realize that urban areas are different.....

What I learned there was to NOT marry Catholics or Jews............how to play Spin the Bottle at the annual covered dish......and the final straw was "predestination" I figured if I was "predestined to be a sinner" there was no point in attending!
I switched to the Quakers, who had the sense to sit there, quietly,& keep their mouths shut unless they had something weighty to share with the rest!

* Pick-a-little Talk-a-Little
Boy, are we one confused species or what! Everybody has an opinion, facts are by and large irrelevant and we’re so enamored of the ‘way it’s always been’ [or at least has been in our own narcissistic memory vault] that we’ll fight to keep it, by gawd! I know that’s the human condition … but we USED to attempt to lift ourselves UP and over the hackneyed, the plebian and the dumbed-down. Now we embrace it. We let anybody say anything, do anything, as long as it reflects the lowest common denominator of public sentiment.
And esp if they’re a politician like lizard-brained Joe Lieberman, described by digby — and rightly — as “a sanctimonious, petty, vindictive egomaniac.” Now HE’S the single obstacle to 60 votes in extending Medicare below the age of 65. Seems to me as though Holy Joe is exacting revenge for our pulling his platform out from under him in the last race. It’s crazy-making to consider what cards he’s holding, cozying up to the Dubby and his minions and then expecting the Left to embrace him as one of their own — altho he MUST have some, tucked up his sleeve — and I presume we’re all supposed to look the other way as he attempts to cover his obvious Republican tendencies, his portfolio thick with sponsors and cronies and his public record of having never taken responsibility for anything he couldn’t quickly fudge, twist and reconfigure to cover his scrawny old ass. ... http://polwaves.planetwaves.net/

Well Lieberman is one nasty piece of work. lets do his chart and discuss what we think is going on. I have a real question and always have of why he is so coddled even after he revealed that he will betray anyone, anytime? Why is Obama telling the Dems to "work with him"? There is something unnatural going on here. I am wondering if he is coddles so that we fail with healthcare reform and end up charging folks like me thousands of dollars we don't have?
well I don't know for sure but this entire Lieberman thing is repulsive.

It occurs to me that our collective anger is highly misplaced. Instead of directing our energy toward the likes of LIEberman, et al, we could be dismantling the very corporate entities who are now the government. This must be the next step. And this action must come from several fronts, one of which is dismantling lobby groups. In and of itself, this action could begin the de-structuring of the age of greed. One part of dismantling could come from in-depth reports on the amounts of money spent and to whom. Right now those reports are few and far between, and have no coordinated effort.
Sooner or later the corporate stronghold will shrink of its own weight having exploited all the middle class resources it feeds upon. However, before we entirely implode, maybe would could begin redirecting our letters? Focus on the media and their power to shed light on what has formerly been in the dark?
And qop, i agree. There aren't many shrinking violets on this board!

Folks, we’re not even close to a done deal on health care reform, so getting our shorts in a twist every day over every little twist and turn isn’t going to help matters. Sign petitions, make phone calls, etc., anything that makes your wishes known, that’s the most positive way to deal with the energy.
Remember that with Pluto just entering Capr. we’ve only just begun in the breaking down phase. Pluto will destroy that which needs to be reformed and leave that which is healthy. Trust in the process and do what you can, but the decay is global and the solutions cannot be found without a lot of bumpy roads. At this point, no one has the answers–not Obama, nor you, nor me, nor anyone else–it’s going to be a hit and miss progression until things begin falling into place at the right time, as dictated by the stars…

"The theories about Why Joe Is Doing It abound. We cannot get enough of them! I have decided to start a rumor that it all goes back to the 2004 presidential race, when Lieberman not only failed to win any primaries, but was also bitten by either a rabid muskrat or a vampire disguised as a moose."

"How will the world handle the wars, economic flux, and climate change when we ring in 2010 with a Blue Moon? Our psychics tell us that it will be a year of spiritual transition as the planet moves closer to entering the astrological Age of Aquarius in 2012.
Numerologist and Astrologer Verbena ext. 9615 sees that "We will all be deeply affected by the continued astrological interaction of spiritual Neptune and the planet Chiron (the wounded healer) and the face off between the transformational heavyweights, Saturn and Pluto. "In looking at the numerology for 2010, it seemed things might lighten up for us. On the surface it would appear that a Universal 3 year would be a pleasure-oriented time. However, 3 tends to be so self indulgent that it could set up an active resistance to the forces for change.
At its worst, the 3 year might influence people to ignore global and national issues in favor of entertainment and profit. At its best, 3 can help us all to learn to creatively adapt to and surmount the year's challenges, and communicate clearly to inspire others." more...............

* Uranus 22 Pisces - Jupiter conjunct Neptune
The US has Neptune in the 22nd deg of Virgo. The current pres has Mars at 22 Virgo. Together they square US Mars in Gemini. It's no wonder that Uranus stationing at 22 Pisces in opp to this point has brought to consciousness the conceptions, or should I say misconceptions, about violent combat, killing humans, and the justification, even glorification, used by people to absolve the guilt they naturally and fortunately feel about such actions. The spiritual necessity is also an argument used by Mars and Neptune.
When Jupiter last conjoined Neptune, the human population was entertained with a speech about global unity and peace next to the great pyramids of Egypt. It was an uplifting theatrical event for many viewers.
Now that the final conjunction is upon us, the identical individual spoke to the same planetary inhabitants about the goodness of war. ... http://raginguniverse.blogspot.com/

"Pisces is a perfect time to float in the vast sea of confusion and even futility, basking in the moment in view of an unknown future that you get tired of looking at. The dreamer brings chaos and foggy roads to be navigated before clear direction is encountered in Aries. The cardinal entities are progressive in the sense that they bring action. Forward motion. One knows what to do, both personally and collectively, just as one doesn't know what to do right now. IT'S NOT THE TIME TO DO. IT'S THE TIME TO BE."

From Sally:
THINGS ARE A CHANGIN
And we will have to change with them. In 1966 Saturn was in Pisces and Uranus in Virgo in direct opposition to one another and the stage was set for a shift from the “status quo” from the old to the new. The question has been what exactly was the old and what was the new? Was it the “boomer generation” stepping into power, well yes, partly and what did the boomers bring with them? Certainly a distaste for war as they soon begin protests against the war and the environmental issues; by 1972 Rachel Carson’s 1962 book Silent Spring was credited with banning pesticides in the US and by 1972 war protests all over the world were going full bore. People were beginning to talk of owning, or already owning a PC, the internet wasn’t born for the average person nor wireless phones but were on the drawing boards, banks were growing like crazy building strong bases for themselves, Medicare, hard fought and won, the growth of Civil Rights for women and different races, and the boomer middle class had started the march toward prosperity and the envy of the world.
Aspects resulting in changes in the world move slowly, it takes years, decades to make those changes the status quo of the fabric of society and here we are with what was changed the last 40/35 years and became the status quo and we are faced with a new set of realities from which to chose or have chosen for us.
We have another war and the protests against that are just now rising, a PC in nearly every home (just like TV had slowly risen the previous 35 years) how to control the internet and our information highway is a huge concern for those who would control us, women and different races have moved into power positions in the country, we are tracked and followed with our wireless phones as well as computers and TV’s, the information highway hasn’t or isn’t always our friend. We are still working toward health care reform for this country, the middle class and their prosperity is falling along with the environment; and banks? Well banks own us lock, stock and barrel.
Forty years ago, before wireless phones, before PC’s in every home, before internet, a banker told me that all the technology was there to make a “cashless, paperless” society and I didn’t believe him. He said they had to introduce it to the people very slowly or they would not accept the concept. Well the cashless, paperless society is almost here and there will be no control over our savings, checking or money accounts. The “status quo” has been chosen for us and our choices are gone for the time being. The Uranus/Saturn opposition moving into Aries/Libra and Pluto squaring from Capricorn has put “the Wizard of Oz” “Big Brother” behind the curtain and the curtain is about to be pulled. That’s actually a plus for us as we finally find out who pulls our strings and then the next generation will have to figure out what to do about it all. With all these planets in Cardinal signs it would seem that the boomers have been left to pull the curtain on the next unfolding of the play; Cardinal signs start things but aren’t so good on the follow through. The UK is voting this week on a “no cheques” ever policy, as they go the way of the dodo bird and the US won’t be far behind.
The older we are the harder it is to accept the change and it’s sure hard to trust any of these people in charge but we will have to unless we, as the people, are ready to do so and there are signs that some are ready. The constant pounding of the HCR for the people, the new “green energy” gaining some speed (that was actually begun in the 70’s,) some communities printing their own monetary exchange (with checks) or a barter system, so there is some movement around another way of being where choices aren’t all made for us. Again, the Cardinal signs could help us as we are impelled to start something but it doesn’t actually get off the ground.
Like it or not, women are gaining power around the world, a black man is President of the United States, the Asians and Latin Americans are gaining a big voice, the environment is an issue for many; the signs of moving toward what was begun in the 60’s and 70’s are there, as well as the signs of moving away from it.
Again the message is given of what do “we” want to create? Do we continue to look and give energy to those who are creating what we don’t want or do we ignore them and work toward another vision, it has been a fight since the late 60’s and early 70’s. The division among us (the people) is just getting worse and worse, I don’t know whether we even know what we want society to look like. Right now we could make positive and negative predictions for the future that would have a little bit for everyone in it but not what everyone wants. This country and its people are not moving in the same direction, even moderates don’t know what they want. The final lap of Uranus in Pisces has become a screaming chaotic mess at times for the world, wonder what Uranus in Aries will look like, it didn’t look too good in the early 70’s that is if folks were looking for peace and quiet.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2009/dec/15/cheques-bounced-out-history
I realize that much of our attention is and has been directed toward the corruption and incompetence of our “so-called” leaders and we continue to stand outside their doors and believe ourselves unheard and we are, we have also given much of our power away as we believe our security will and should come from those same corrupt and incompetent leaders our anger swells as we realize it won’t come and it was never in the hands of these people and they never intended to do anything for the people; what is up must come down and what’s down must go up and so we keep on riding that “painted pony, while the spinning wheel turns.” I know many of us just want a more stable environment, especially if we’ve had a relatively stable environment through most of our lives, but we just won’t get it. An astrological rule of thumb is “the outer most planet is the strongest” that would be Uranus in Pisces and in this case a new reality will take the place of the old and the new would be a more science based belief system even as it comes to God, notice that since Pluto left Sagittarius for good a few months ago, conversations around God and who believes in what or whom have diminished into a quiet beat and a lot less self righteousness.
There is so much on the table and so much that relates back to the last 40 years it’s hard to get it all in, so I won’t try, but do be careful Mars is going retrograde tomorrow in Leo. Normally Mars retrograde doesn’t present too many problems but Leo likes to be noticed so this retrograde should be very dramatic, I would certainly look for arguments and perhaps accidents over the next few months, especially the rest of December into the first of January. This won’t be a good time for Obama because he is a Leo and Mars will not only conjunct but oppose his 1st and 7th house axis, in fact Mars goes retro very close to his 18 degree Aquarius 7th house cusp.
As I write there is open warfare between the Senate and House over the health care bill, it’s probably kabuki theater and the thing to watch for is not the public option or Medicare “buy in” possibility, it’s making sure the insurance companies have broad competition to hold down rates and no pre-existing penalties or ability to kick people off because they have cost the insurance companies too much money by being sick. That’s what I believe they are trying to push through and trying to hide, I don’t see Wall Street and their minions such as insurance companies and big pharma letting American’s that might still have a smidgeon of cash or pennies off the hook from their march toward being the ruling elite and making everyone accept it. They are almost to the door of letting us know we don’t deserve anything takes so little for us to open that door to our own demise. We need to tell ourselves every day that we are not their victims.
We all need to keep our eye on the ball, the real ball, not the distractions they want us to look at, just keep watching as the vails of illusions keep ripping away for us to see it all.

From an economic standpoint, will 2010 be the year of the woman? As part of the Roosevelt Institute's ongoing 'Feminomics' series, running on the New Deal 2.0 blog, I was asked to reflect on women's changing roles in the economy. Here's my take on how women are prepared to stand up to male nonsense on Wall St.
Eleanor Roosevelt once said, "Do what you feel in your heart to be right--for you'll be criticized anyway."
I think the corollary to that statement is "Do not tolerate what you feel in your heart to be wrong, for you'll be living with the consequences of your silence."
Back in 2002, when I quit Wall St, I followed Eleanor's words. At the pinnacle of a financial career, I was faced with the prospect of completely selling my soul to Goldman Sachs, and doing whatever it took to make partner and attain ridiculous wealth. It was an existence of actual physical races against men far more monetarily ambitious than myself, to the door of then-division head, Lloyd Blankfein, to take credit for anything I could. The alternative was quitting, becoming a journalist, and regaining my life, real-world perspective, and moral compass. I chose the latter and have never regretted it.
During the past year, the financial sector has done a lot of wrong. First, it nearly self-destructed. Then it engaged with a set of Wash elites to extract trillions of dollars of public funds to ease its pain. Now, it's posting record bonuses on the back of that assistance, in a disgustingly entitled manner, as if its profits are based on sheer skill, rather than federal aid, accounting tricks, and regulatory indifference. What's missing from this reckless scenario? Women. ... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/nomi-prins/feminomics-women-reformer_b_397379.html

What a delight to find my favorite "salon" perking away. Hello all my lovely companions so wonderful to "walk" into this conversation.
Would have gotten here yesterday/last night but there was so much going on here in the family that I didn't have time.
Still no money for my dear one no matter what the state says and no publicity about this. This is horrible the mighty State of Claifornia not paying those who most need it the small contractors,(which is what my egg-head is called) those eligible for unemployment and temporary disability. I wonder what else Schwarzenegger is up to. He has created all of this by withholding billions we had and forcing all of this. I well remember the $7 billion that would bring new computers to the state and all the counties-now we are told that the computers were never built. Well where is the $7 billion and why is this ham actor not up on charges?
Seems early for Pluto in Cap I suspect something much more sinister-the governor and his friends.

COme on to Maine then..........

AP -- Minority Republicans in the Maine House have lost a member.
Rep. Jim Campbell of Newfield said Thursday he's withdrawn from the Republican Party and will become the only legislator with no party affiliation. That leaves the House with 95 Democrats, 55 Republicans and one unenrolled or independent member. The Senate also is controlled by Democrats.
It IS a bit nippy this AM............21o

Hi Clymela, my son just received three checks for unemployment on Thursday so some money is now flowing again. My husband said the Feds free'd up more $$$ for California. So hopefully some will come your way.
I'm having a make gifts at home holiday. Baking gonja cookies for my herbal friends and pots of spider plants. I absolutely refuse to go into debt for holidays. In the past I've also made my own Yule cards.
I'm on winter break until Jan. 4th, yippee finally decompressing from a very busy year. My boss has only called me in twice, so far that's a good start!

HAH!
* ... To conduct this study, the team actually conducted several experiments that began by inducing happier or unhappier moods to the subjects, by recalling a past event or by watching movies. In one of the experiments, they were asked to analyze the truth (or lack of it) behind urban myths and rumors; the result was that those in sadder moods were less likely to believe what they were told and showed an increase of analytic ability. The sadder people were also less likely to make rash decisions or those based on racial or religious beliefs and made fewer mistakes when recalling a past event.
“Positive mood is not universally desirable: people in negative mood are less prone to judgmental errors, are more resistant to eyewitness distortions and are better at producing high-quality, effective persuasive messages,” Forgas wrote.
It’s been known for quite a while now that a good mood can increase work capacity, concentration and creativity, but not so much effort has been put into understanding what happens to you when you are feeling unhappy. ... http://raginguniverse.blogspot.com/

So Good Morning to all. Cooking fresh bread, cookies and beans and later roasted vegetables-mostly because money is so tight-Steve's State wages haven't come through for us and after months of scrimping even though there was unexpected money from time to time, we are down to the bottom although I have money coming.
HMMMM do you think this is Saturn in Libra trine my nGemini Sun and Mercury with Pluto quincunx that Sun/Mercury?
Well I am happy in the cool winter sunlight and the family around although a few of us have colds. I have had two things this autumn-is this because I am living with young people who bring in all manner of life from circles other than my own?
Happy Day to you and the Best of Yule my favorite festival.

* Doable or Un? Helpful or Un? That is the question
First let me start by wishing you a Blessed Solstice — and urge you to put a pocket of time aside for stillness and reverence … or maybe just your feet up, sipping some herbal tea and listening to soothing music. We begin our journey into shorter days, Winter sleep and recharge.
Next, I neglected you last week so I offer a hint of an apology — I was lost in the quest for perfect gifts, having forgotten what Mass Consumption actually looks like, Southern California-style. But the weeks news in general has been so absurd, it was hard not to gape, open-mouthed at Lieberman’s antics and do anything but wonder at headlines like:
GOP Senator Appears To Wish Robert Byrd Dead To Spoil Health Care Vote
Michael Steele: Dems Are Cowards, ‘Flipping The Bird’ To The Public
and
John McCain: Obama Created More Partisan Environment Than Bill Clinton
Reporting on stuff like that seems more the territory of Comedy Central, so I continued to fight my way to cash registers, figure out what my 2nd, 3rd and 4TH ‘perfect’ choice would be and generally Fa La La as Xmas comes closer by the minute. ... http://polwaves.planetwaves.net/

Oh yes!! Blessed solstice and Happy Yule.
So far this family has not joined into the manic sharing of resources-no money right now. We still wait for the State to pay the unpaid wages back to September.
I am supporting the passage of the health care bill because Of the words of Bernie Sanders and Patrick Leahy-they remind me of what we would be looking at if the Republicans were still in power and they, the Republicans, are absolutely outrageous with their whining and ugly condemnations-just as horrible as I always thought-no gentleman farmer Republicans left just hateful whining lawmakers.

* Pluto in the Capricorn Season
Last Dec when the Sun met with Pluto euphoria was in the air and wishes were freshly minted with hope just in from the horizon. This year we're two Jupiter-Neptune conjunctions wiser and the cosmic digger is ready for serious business with Saturn intimately involved. Change has occurred if not exactly what some had anticipated. So far I've found this holiday season to be one of the weirdest I've ever been in. A magnetic distraction seems to have gripped society's psyche, although some are dutifully recalling the Baby Jesus and purchasing commodities as well as can be expected.
The Veil Dissolves
Jupiter Conjunct Neptune
So it came to pass. Collective illusions so diligently maintained have melted away revealing just how corrupt and ill-behaved our [pink male] pol officials really are. It's difficult to miss. An excellent study in how they operate. The stabbing, bribing, stealing, and most of all--lying--have aligned to expose the plutocracy in action with its unattractive appetite for power creating a depressing drama available in each and every home for the pleasure of the viewing audience. The pecking keys are certainly registering the alarm. ... http://raginguniverse.blogspot.com/

Another good post joannaO.
I love the graphic image of the giant drill poised,....... by Shiller! Soooo Plutonian!
Christmas has always been a "magic' time for me.
Because there has always been some event/incident large or small, that reassured about Man's humanity to Man. '
And I have always tried to sidestep the materialism & commercialism. I'm grateful this year that I have a lot of company in that aversion.
My love to all of you here, & may you be touched with magic.

* Do Not Open Until... ~ 23 December 2009
Ah, the admonition written on the tag assigned to holiday presents whether the gifts belong to Chanukah, Christmas, Kwanza or Quetzalcoatl’s Kumquat Consuming Contest. What torture and anticipation lurk behind such labels? What if there were a cosmic gift grab in the skies above, ready for the plucking regardless of the surrounding sacred festivities? Could it be opened early? Sure, if one tunes into it early. Should it be opened early? In this case, indubitably.
Actually if you open this present today, you’re not all that early. Today the gift in the sky comes from the direct alignment of Mercury with the position of the lunar north node. Given that Mercury retrogrades on the 26th, these two remain in alignment until Dec 29th - or ample time to apply newly realized missions and add them to next year’s resolution list.
The node represents the collective sense of mission, purpose, evolution and improvement of the emotional state of humanity. Mercury is all about communication and while in Capricorn, only worthwhile statements need apply. This is the time to locate, ponder, flesh out and declare new mission statements for one and for all.
It’s bigger than just Mercury and the node. As these two align, they match up in the sky with two amazing black holes, SS433 and GRS 1915+105. ... http://www.philipsedgwick.com/

HAPPY WINTER CELEBRATION TO EVERYONE!! LOVE TO YOU EACH AND EVERYONE.
QOP- I love the thought of bush beans and chard growing in you window boxes as the winter proceeds.
Yesterday I was explaining the significance of the Winter Solstice celebrations to my California born grandchildren and some of their friends-here we have three seasons-wet/rain in November through March, growing season March through August and reaping August through November. They have of course visited winter but they always are able to leave it and come home.

An evolving, spiritual, friend of mine, told me not to miss this movie.
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/12/26/opinion/26sat4.html?_r=1&th&emc=th
“Avatar” centers on a rapacious company that is intent on harvesting valuable ore from Pandora; the Na’Vi live over the largest deposit. The plot is firmly in the anti-imperialist canon, a 22nd-century version of the American colonists vs. the British, India vs. the Raj, or Latin America vs. United Fruit.
Underlying the political message is the running theme of the importance of seeing clearly.
