Morgana, this could be titled "the earth shifts beneath our feet." It seems that is exactly what is happening. The disconnect from our Mother, the nourturer, the provider of life has been taken for granted too long. For far too many centuries, the masculine energy has called attention to itself, subduing earth magic, compassion and thankfulness through war and violence. This preverse energy would both literally rape women into submission (a horrific symbol of a greater malaise) and then force them to keep the offspring of that violence.

Will it continue escalating? Or will we truly begin to shift into greater consciousness? I'm guessing it will be both, to what end i cannot see.

With a more urgent, masculine (aries/fire/mars/) energy...........

I was just reading an ongoing discussion on Facebook with Claudia Dikinis and she mentioned that 'this solar eclipse will be active for years to come 6 hrs. 39 mins. equates to 6.5 years of effect.'

She also noted that New Zealand I believe moved a foot closer to Australia from the earthquake they had last week which is where the snippet I mentioned above came from.

Well at 7:23 am Iran time on May 22 they had a 5.5 earthquake...interesting.

NPR.org, July 22, 2009 · U.S. officials believe Saad bin Laden — a son of Osama bin Laden — has been killed by an American missile in Pakistan.

Hmmm QOP they are 80 - 85% sure it was Saad Bin Laden? How many kids did Osama have? Osama is one of 26 I think. Interesting they announced it today when the drone attack happened earlier this year, and as they said, no DNA to test and prove it.

I took a look at the "Obama press conference" chart, Sun Inconjunct Pluto, and the Sun in the 7th house right on top of the 0 degree Leo South Node, ouch. Our power is being usurped as we speak (SN in the 7th)Also, the Sun in Leo over that SN will for a few days zap the power out of Obama and the vultures will be circling all around him, hopefully he will sprint through the graveyard before the Devil knows his health care is dead, or before his enemies can get a foot hold. It's almost Obama's birthday and a birthday eclipse can be pretty powerful for good or for ill. The fact that this eclise moves immediately toward the 0 degree of Aquarius/Leo is a bit disturbing since the Leo Sun falls on the SN and the NN is in the first house on his Jupiter, I would say Obama will be changing his mind or forced to change his mind in ways that will ultimately benefit, but the new is coming. I would say that Mr. Obama is not moving in the direction he thinks he is.

Sally this is great!! I have missed you and your insights. I wonder which direction Obama is moving? I am distressed that he spends so much time with those who don't like him or what he campaigned on. I wrote him about this advising him to stop ignoring the left and those who got him elected and forget about the Republicans and Blue Dogs. I have never witnessed the like of the Republicans and how they lie right in our faces and yet they are taken seriously as if they really have something to offer.

In relationship to the remaks in your post Joanna, I heard a talk show radio host say today that "it's too bad it's come to this but if you haven't saved enough money for health care that's your problem and people will have to accept that they will die for lack of funds, we simply cannot break the back of the insurance industry because it's holding up our economic system right now." I thought to myself "good luck buddy." I don't see much ahead but a fall.

This morning there was a piece on NPR about the underbelly of the Southern Baptists, their insistence that women are only allowed to give spiritual council to other women and chilren, but certainly not men. Mayfly, we too have been intensely connected with our gardens this year having experimented with hay bales, and some heirloom seeds -- beans in particular. The hay bales in this poor mountain soil have served well. The only significant problem was this spring with slugs and snails mowing down any seedling as soon as it sprouted. Thus, we have no limas. The other crops we were able to save with vigilance. I'll begin canning this week.

Mayfly so happy to hear about gardening-I am learning from my neighbors. My upstairs neighbor raises her seedlings in her apt and on the balcony until they are sturdy and can take the cold wind off the bay and the needs of hungry creatures. Everyone is complaining here that summer has been so wet and cold that tomatoes and peppers just aren't growing although beets and carrots and potatoes are doing well.Well this is getting wordy but I wanted to say that through gardening we are becoming part of a community and this is so exciting.
Sally-my landlord reports that he pays $1000 a month for health insurance with a 20% deductible and that is the cheapest they could find. I know one woman who was denied coverage because she was too heavy although she is healthy and physically active. Sally I hear the voices who seem to believe that only the wealthy and beautiful and healthy deserve any protection. I find this amazing. I am hoping that Obama is driving the crazies into the box canyon so that their real motivations can be revealed.

And, well, Seestas!!! At the risk of repeating meself too many times afore, it's long past the point of borrowing from the French... & build a few of our own... their lovely old sturdy guillotines. Their insanely greedy class of "nobility" needed cutting (yes, a pun) waaaaaaaay back if people were going to just survive much less thrive from their economic gardens. I have set aside political grief, to focus on Venus! About 28 years ago, my 2 young nephews spent the night at my house with their Mother,...... next morning I got out the felt tipped pens, and we drew. The 2 year old Sco rpio, particularly, was passionately absorbed, for hours beyond a normal 2 yr old attention span. Today that young man is the head glassman at Pilchuck Studio Dale Chihuly's glass blowing studio, and his Brother 32 year old Capricorn, is making films with Disney & Time Warner.
Yesterday my 7 1/2 year old Capricorn Grandson....was inspired by my paintings to want to a paint............IMMEDIATELY! So the felt tips and crayons went out to the picnic table, and occupied the gang of kids that attended with their parents! I have been "self declared" "selfish" in my focus on my paintings............

Joannaoregon thank you for all the interesting bits and pieces. I'm still having an issue with my arm/hand ligaments so I am staying off the keyboard as much as possible. We hit the low nineties today and that too is wearing me out, tired of the heat and it's only just begun we've still got August and September to get through. Though with El Nino building a head of steam maybe we'll get rains early. We had our first brush fire yesterday, always unnerving to see the trucks go by, the helicopters and spotter planes. I have film of the Bonny Doone burn area that I took earlier this spring I must remember to drop it off at Costco.

Anyway I'm about just not punching a lot of keys.

Since Obama was elected, and sworn in I felt just burned out. It was a long eight years of horror. Friendships destroyed, friends lost over the antics of politicians, words spoken and typed that in less angry moments would never have been written. So I felt like stepping back for just a bit getting away from the bleeding edge of outrage and now the outrage is rising. Silly Blue Dogs keep blowing us off. Time to crank it up 2010 elections are coming. Palin should be launching her new schemes, and we the People need to make ourselves heard. The Rightwingnuts, Birthers are dominating the media and if we lose the Public Option it will be our own fault. So since I don't want to wear that guilt I'm geared back up to fight. I get the feeling that Sally is receiving sub-standard care in whatever neck of the woods she's in. With all the mishaps she was subjected to during her hospital stay, now this. Whenever I look at the news on TV, they're always lauding some new discovery, or advanced method in treating cancer, yet it doesn't seem to make it into mainstream healthcare. There's a cancer treatment center in Tampa called the Moffitt Center, and they are always talking about the new way that they administer chemo, where they taylor it to suit the certain type of cancer that the patient has, so that the chemo doesn't make them sick, or make their hair fall out. I have a friend who was treated in England, and she said that she never felt ill, neither did she lose her hair. I'm wondering if it's because of the severity of Sally's illness, or is it just inferior healthcare? Makes me angry.
