THE FOURTH AMENDMENT SIGNED AWAY

Today July 10, 2008 at 1:22pm in Washington, DC the President of the United States with the complicit support of most of the House and Senate signed away the Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution. Although our government has acknowledged that they have been spying on us for quite some time, today they made it official with no recourse to sue from the Judiciary. This government has been in legal violation of the Constitution and today they made that violation OK.

What a day, what a time to sign this bill into law. It will be challenged in courts throughout this country, that is a given.

Pluto in Sagittarius in the 3rd House of mundane communication opposing Mercury in Gemini in the 9th House of higher courts. The respective houses are in Mutual Reception, putting Pluto in the 9th and Mercury in the 3rd. According to Robert Hand "a Mercury Pluto opposition is (amoung other things) a naked power grab, with either you (the US) or Pluto (the government) trying to convince that a thought or action that is wrong is actually right, don't be fooled." Pluto is now retrograde at 29 degrees Sagittarius and will come back over that 29 degrees in September/October/November. In mid August (before the convention) Mars and the transiting Moon will square the Sagittarius/Gemini axis, and that's when the people will begin making known their real anger over this. In the late spring of 2010 Uranus makes its first square from Pisces to that axis with Jupiter joining later in the month of June as Uranus goes retrograde on 29 Pisces in square to the Pluto/Mercury.

All the "power planets" are in play in today's event signing. Asc. is in Libra and Mid-heaven in Cancer and Moon and Venus are in a square.Moon trine Neptune (most people don't see the meaning of this right now today but they will) Mercury oppose Pluto (see above paragraph)

Sun oppose Jupiter ((lots of ego and hubris over this, plus Nancy Pelosi in trying to move the dialogue away from what's just happened is saying "well Dennis Kuchinch can take his impeachment resolution to the judiciary committe and they can discuss it, how's that for a bone to the people) Mars and Saturn are in an exact conjunction today and tomorrow (can get lots of work done, but also seething frustration ready to explode when Mars passes Saturn, and that's when it falls on Obama's Pluto and McCain's Sun, it's gonna be real hot on that campaign trail over this.)

But it's the trine from the Sun to Uranus and the sextile from Jupiter that needs to be paid attention to; Uranus is just sitting down there retrograding, in the 6th house (another Mercury house) taking notes. The star Betelgeuse sits on Mercury (successful operation) and so it was successful, but the star Acumen sits on top of Pluto (enduring attacks which weaken) When Uranus gets around to 29 Pisces in 2010 the potential of successfully overturning this is great, or it will blow up the Constitution all together. Uranus will separate the wheat from the chaff or more to the point the BS from the truth, with a lot of help from Jupiter the planet of truth and remember Mercury is in the 9th house, the house of truth. The point isn't that truth is always told, the point is there is a penalty to be paid when it isn't.

The Constitution became law on March 4, 1789 in Philadelphia, PA - Pluto was at 18 Aquarius as was the 1st Setting of Congress, also in 1789, as was the election of George Washington. Today's North Node is at 18 Aquarius signaling a new start. In the progressed chart of the Constitution Chiron lands at 29 degrees Gemini giving the message of a wounding to the Constitution, Congress and the Presidency. I believe a big mistake has been made today.

The Moon is a chart represents the feminine and the Sun the masculine, so in a universal chart such as an event or country the Moon represents the people as a whole and the Sun the leadership as a whole. Sun opposes Jupiter can give you an idea of the amount of hubris rolling around the Sun over this FISA Bill by those protecting their butts, but the Moon is rising in the 1st house of "us."

I don't remember who said this but it was one of the founding fathers I think

"People who behave like sheep open the door to a government of wolves." And haven't we just done that all along.

"There could be any number of flash points: a currency crisis, bank failures, skyrocketing food and oil prices, massive lay-offs, etc. Or perhaps there will be concurrent whirlpools of misery, sucking in the collective grievances of millions. It will manifest what has always been the single greatest fear of America’s ruling elite: “There’s a f*ck-load of them, and they have guns.”

Marta the article from Carolyn Baker's site was 'real life' versus McCains it's in their heads, and the whiney nation. John Edwards had it so right.

Sally [TypeKey Profile Page]:

I've not been able to satisfactorily answer the question of why run the world into the ground. It's been done around the world in various places, Africa, Europe, Middle East, the Asian countries, but why. Who are these people so depraived with their power and greed that they only see a recourse to depraive others. Who are these power brokers in front and in the shadows who want to see others enslaved, powerless, fearful dependent on them. They come from our ranks as humans so in a real sense they are us, but what form of mutation afflicts their brain that they would either take joy or care not about inflicting untold pain on others? I don't understand it, not in the least.

karen [TypeKey Profile Page]:

First, i woke thinking about the fires, Morgana. Will you update us? Coincidentally, there was an article on the demise of 1/3 of the world's coral reefs. Tick tock.

Marta, the Baker posting by Frank (who dated his article 2010 interestingly) was just about perfect.

And your response, Sally, something that i've been wrestling with for several years. It spurred the writing of my first sci-fi book which i've yet to find an agent for -- since that too is a political game. Or, i'm a really bad writer. ;0 The premise is that those depraved, power-hungry entities are indeed entirely different species. This planet is fueling expansions on their own planets. "They" could care less whether or not this planet meets its demise, for there are others -- much like the earth -- waiting to be exploited.

interesting read

Here is the excerpt from a speech given by Sen. Feingold and I will highlight in bold the pertinent part:

"I sit on the Intelligence and Judiciary Committees, and I am one of the few members of this body who has been fully briefed on the warrantless wiretapping program. And, based on what I know, I can promise that if more information is declassified about the program in the future, as is likely to happen either due to the Inspector General report, the election of a new President, or simply the passage of time, members of this body will regret that we passed this legislation. I am also familiar with the collection activities that have been conducted under the Protect America Act and will continue under this bill. I invite any of my colleagues who wish to know more about those activities to come speak to me in a classified setting. Publicly, all I can say is that I have serious concerns about how those activities may have impacted the civil liberties of Americans. If we grant these new powers to the government and the effects become known to the American people, we will realize what a mistake it was, of that I am sure."

Alabama US Att'y denies involvement in university editor's termination

This 'case is definitely about the first amendment,' says Harper's journalist

The abrupt dismissal of a veteran University of Alabama employee who blogged about the firing of seven US Attorneys has added a bizarre new twist to allegations that the state's US Attorneys targeted political opponents for prosecution.

Roger Shuler -- a high-profile blogger and leading critic of Alabama's judicial system -- has written extensively about alleged corruption among U.S. Attorneys for over a year. In particular, Shuler focused on two US Attorneys from his home state: Alice H. Martin of the Northern District and Leura G. Canary of the Middle District.

An editor in the University of Alabama Birmingham publications office for the last 12 years and a university employee for 19, Shuler was placed on administrative leave May 7 and formally fired May 19.

Marta [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Below is an article written by Carolyn Baker on July 4, 2008. It is an excellent read. My eyes popped out when I saw what she posted at the tail end of the article. What synchcronicity. I've had this conversation with at least 3 people this week!

The issue of not voting in the upcoming elections is coming out all over the place. I know a ton of people who will not vote, both democrats and republicans because they refuse to participate in the lie any longer and accept these manufacturered candidates who don't DO WHAT THEY ARE ELECTED TO DO AND DON'T FOLLOW OUR WISHES. WOW! My mom told me about an election reform group here in Dade County, FL (Miami)she's involved in and SEVERAL OF THEM SAID THEY WERE NOT GOING TO VOTE.

My Mom and I had a long conversation this morning on this subject and she said something to the effect of, but if you don't vote you can't influence anything, which is bullcrock. THEY select the candidates, THEY COUNT the vote, THEY decide everything. The only purpose elections serve is to keep the sheeple thinking that they actually have a say in anything. It's a classic escape valve. They tie us up with unremitting coverage for long periods of time on inanities about the candidates (insane), where don't ask, don't tell is a-o.k. (I mean, you didn't really expect the candidate to state their REAL position on something or - well, every candidate tacks to the center because that's how you win elections .... These are the fairy tales that are floated in the media and regurgitated hour by hour on the network news, in newspapers, etc. to convince the voters that it's NORMAL for a candidate to lie, obfuscate, change his promises, etc. That the candidate is only "playacting" and we should "wait until they get elected", THEN they'll show us. R-I-G-H-T...

How in the world, after the last 8 years and the 8 Reagan years before, can anybody buy into this insanity? And the 8 years of Clinton were the grease that prepared us for the Bush 8 years. At this stage of the game, no matter who you ask, most people - polls say 85% of Americans, are AGAINST EVERYTHING THESE YAHOOS ARE DOING, HAVE DONE AND ARE GOING TO DO.

The only reason THEY still bother to have elections is because a) people make tons of money off of elections - most particularly the republicans/democrats fat cats (read ... it's a business - BIG BUSINESS) and b) it keeps the sheeple happy (for awhile), c) if they stopped now - WHAT WOULD THE NEIGHBORS SAY????? (you know, Land of the Free! Home of the Brave! Democracy! The Greatest Democracy in the World! THE BIGGEST LIE IN THE WORLD! and d) and finally, they have you, the voter on the hook emotionally for another 4 years. What a game! Ya gotta give'm credit, it's worked like a charm.

This is what Carolyn Baker wrote (that ignited my rant ... I feel so much better now - hope I didn't set anybody's hair on fire and of course, everybody makes up their own mind about voting, etc. - no offense meant):

"I have written extensively about the futility of voting in the 2008 presidential election, and I will continue to do so, but I have also encouraged readers to vote in state and local elections. I will enthusiastically do the same in the fall in my now-home state of Vermont. Thus I leave you with a video clip of my taking the Vermont voter's oath on July 4, 2008. And perhaps, if you look closely, you might see Tom Paine somewhere over my shoulder."

Marta [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Morgana, great point. It would be about time that the countries that produce the commodity started getting a fair share. I'm from Chile and worked for Exxon Minerals (years ago). They completely ruined whole valleys with the mineral runoff, slurry, sludge, etc. I used to translate the engineering reports where the engineers explained how they backed up this filth that would be there for maybe hundreds of years using the sides of the mountains to "contain it and building dams, etc. so it didn't run down. The river that provided water was full of by products. It was a nice color of green though (from some of the chemicals). Yeah, they created some employment, but the US execs were paid incredibly high salaries and had awesome benefits and the local engineer made a fraction of what his U.S. counterpart was paid.

Then they sold and left. Of course the stuff they left behind in the mountains is now leaching through rock and doing goodness only knows what ... Incredible.

PS now there's a gold mine (will be one of the largest in the world apparently) in the north of Chile that they want to blow up 2 glaciers to get to. The only problem is those 2 glaciers provide all of the water for the north and if they blow them up you can only imagine what will happen. This is stupidity. There's a movement to try to stop it. Hopefully they'll be able to do so. BTW, the north of Chile is the Atacama desert, the driest desert in the world. Water is gold there. Ironic, no?

Marta, Exxon and their cronies leave a mess everywhere they go parts of North America are an ecological disaster. Look at Cheney's water shenanigan's which has destroyed the entire 2008 salmon fishing season on the West Coast, including problems in Alaska with salmon getting ick the rivers are too low and fungi grow then the fish can't be eaten.

Did Bushy buy up land in Paraquay adjacent to the largest fresh water source along with his buddy Moon?

Morgana [TypeKey Profile Page]:

My bad typo... Didn't Busy buy up land...

Marta [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Morgana, I've been reading about the salmon problems and fish stock problems in general. It's terribly sad.

In reference to Bush/Moon, I had heard that Bush I had a consortium that was trying to buy up the land over the world's largest fresh water aquifer. It caused quite a stir in latin america and Paraguay.

BTW, Paraguay just inaugurated a brand new president, a catholic priest no less. It's a terribly corrupt country, so it's most likely true that they did buy the land, I believe it was thousands upon thousands of acres. God only knows what the new pres. is going to do, most likely it WON't be Liberation Theology, since the Vatican stamps that out viciously. They probably would have excommunicated Jesus Christ ... imagine that!

Marta [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Ummmm, looking up a bit ... where is everybody????????? Hellooooooooo, is anybody there?????????

Hi Marta,

The Paraguay purchase is a done deal. Remember when the twins spent some time there, and then Jenna went on to workin CHile? Peru? They facilitated the purchase for the family.
Yes over the aquifer, yes next door to Moon's spread, yes US airbase there enlarged........
No extradition...THEN he Paraguians voted in the liberal ex Priest!!!! Expedition MAY be an option on the table soon.

Marta [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Qop, well, I can't blame it on merc rx (that my post didn't make it clear I wasn't the VT voter, that's hysterical (yes, I'm in Miami). Well, the funny thing about that Paraguayan priest cum President is I heard he tried to tender his resignation to the Vatican, and they rejected it. I have a friend who was invited to the inauguration. The vatican rejected it. That's huge. Another example of the erosion of the religious/ secular? Unbelievable.

Can you imagine. Maybe the electorate wants to pass a law legalizing abortion or divorce and Mr. Prez gets a call from the Pope reminding him of his catholic vows. Whaddaya think of that?

Morgana [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Hi Marta I'm about too, just getting off work. It's interesting to ponder isn't it? We often point to the big families and big money running the world, borders and nations are just a charade.

The Pope and the Prez wonder what's up with quitting, not.

That's pretty funny! But I guess change sometimes requires baby steps!
I tried to post a correction but it was too soon after my last post. that should have read exTRadition

Sally [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Marta, I have often fantasized about the government calling for an election and no one shows up. I wonder what they would do; probably celebrate first at the people giving the government away to them, then they would go into absolute fear wondering what we were doing or thinking outside their bubble.

Marta [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Sally, oh yes. They would be very worried about it because it would indicate we weren't swallowing the koolaid any longer. It would really upset their boat, and I think they are finally onthe way to achieving it. It's too much.

Sally,

I think if I were to answer your question, I’d say that money is a drug, a very powerful and addictive drug. Real money doesn’t live in our world. My boss, who's a staunch republican, inherited a few hundred thousand from his parents. He buys into the whole republican way of thinking. A while back he remarked, with real pride, how amazed he was that his twelve-year-old daughter, out of nowhere, said at the dinner table she didn’t believe in social security. How that money shouldn’t be trusted to the government, and should be invested in private accounts. I was amazed that he was amazed that his kid would believe the same drivel he does. My god, the man recites Bill O’Reilly verbatim. The sad part is that he believes he’s wealthy. I’d love to tell him that he has no concept of what real wealth is, and save some miracle, he never will. When you have real wealth, you don’t have to care about others because you’re protected. You're only purpose in life is to get more and it doesn't matter how. Just like a junkie. Problem is, there's no rehab for it, just admiration. The rules don’t apply to you. It’s like when there’s no sheriff in town, you get good people doing some really bad things. It’s a drug, plain and simple.

Marta [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Synchronicity everywhere today ... love it! Sorry, my tinyurl doesn't appear to be working (or I'm not doing it right, probably the latter....).

http://judecowell.wordpress.com/2009s-two-solar-eclipses-11-north11-south-jan-july/

Sally [TypeKey Profile Page]:

You're right Abilene, money is a drug but more than money I think power is the strongest drug and that's what money represents to a lot of people or they believe the money can buy them power. It's kind of the "daddy" society gone wild and out of control. Look at the obsession to spy on their people and it's not just in this country. I look the world over and am having a hard time identifying anyone who would constitute as a leader in a positive sense of the word. Corruption is everywhere, spying on people is everywhere, oppression is everywhere, they seem to think if they can control everyone's movements or ideas they are safe, their power is safe, their money is safe. England is out their telling people to start Victory Gardens again because food is going to cost too much and is too unsafe, and please, they cannot do anything about it. Talk about a failure of imagination amoung leaders. GWB saying "good bye from the biggest polluter in the world" and that's ok with him, with us while they sit there and protect their part of the world's 10 percent of wealth and power.

We as a world will rise together or fall together and for several decades now, we have not been rising together, particularly the last decade. I don't know when, but something will break this strangle hold over those exercising hammer like power over the world and they are afraid of that too.

Eight years ago I wondered where the balance was, never has there been a great rise in evil that was not counter-balanced by good, and I thought then as I do now that it will be "us" the people. In Sweden over 2 million people are protesting their own version of implemented FISA, in time those waves might spread. I just hope I can live to see and participate in the shift.

Marta [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Sally, great post. The reason they've been able to get away with their crap is it's the old mantra .... "divide and conquer". When everybody is equally reduced to poverty and misery (with a notable few exceptions) then the tide will turn and it will be "solidarity".

Sally [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Excellent link Marta, I am also going to link his article on the 2008 Eclipses because we have one coming up August the 1st and eclipses are most powerful six months before and six months after, however one sees the impact most obviously in the six months prior.

Like this "Jude" website, I use Bernadette Brady's book "The Eagle and the Lark" to identify the meaning of each eclipse. A kind poster emailed me once with another book (and I cannot remember the name will try and find it) that she found to be equally or more illuminating. I just don't have the book but I will try and find the name unless someone here knows it.

Anyway, the upcoming August Eclipse 9/10 Leo. On a broad scale it will affect the generation born around 1942 to 1947 because Pluto was at 7/8/9/10 Leo during those years and it will fall across GWB's 10 degrees Leo Pluto, as it will come close to mine at 7 degrees. On a more specific level, anyone with personal planets at those degrees could be more immediately impacted (and that would include all the fixed signs.) The closer the orb (within 2 degrees on either side of the eclipse degree) the bigger potential for impact.

Brady identifies this eclipse as Saros series 10 South. She states "This Saros Series concerns itself with breaking out of a very negative situation where no hope can be seen to a more positive space containing many options. A worry that may have been affecting a person will suddenly clear. The solution is shown by the Cosmos and needs to be taken up without too much delay."

For all who are affected personally this could be a resolution to a relationship or money worries or job worries, or health; depending on where the eclipse falls in ones chart and the nature of the aspects impacting the planet affected. Positive aspects would indicate positive results, negative aspects indicate a more negative result and a mixed bag of aspects might mean one has to work a bit for their results.

On a national level, this Eclipse hits Bush, McCain, Obama and Hillary. Bush has no aspects to his first house Pluto, McCain has a square from his fixed Mars to his Uranus (wide separating square) Obama has a wide separating square from his 12 degree Leo Sun to fixed Neptune, Hillary has a square from her Leo Mars to her Chiron and Venus (applying)

Thus far, McCain and Bush have had a bad month, don't know about Hillary except the money issues (Venus in her second) and Obama's month has been a mixed bag. As far as the individual parties (Dem and GOP) this eclipse hits both their Mercury's. That could be a lot of foot in mouth disease over the next several weeks. We saw some of that with Phil Graham whining about people who could not see that the economy was just fantastic just because they lost their jobs and homes.

This is another link to "Jude's" site and his article on the series of eclipses for 2008.

Quote from Sensenbrenner..........
I do so with no joy but without apologies, just as those on this committee who voted to impeach President Nixon, did.
24 YEARS AGO..............................
( It has NOW BEEN 34 YEARS! They're impeaching CLinton!

Watergate and the Nixon impeachment reversed the results of an overwhelming election and were extremely divisive to our country, but America emerged from that national nightmare a much stronger country and will do so again after this sad part of our history is over. What is on trial here is the truth and the rule of law.

He had no intention of appearing before Congress, and he had sent the panel the equivalent of a doctor's note - from no less a medical authority than White House counsel Fred Fielding - saying he did not have to respond to the congressional subpoena.

So lawmakers decided to pull out one of the most feared weapons in their arsenal: the empty-chair stunt. They printed up a name card for "Mr. Karl Rove" and displayed it on the witness table. They put out a glass of cold water with ice, and pointed the microphone toward an empty wooden armchair.

I am listening to Cynthia McKinney at the Greens' convention. Oh god if only we were enlightened enough to hear thoughts and words like this at the Dems convention. Two (or three) quick things: first, the Green candidate for William Jefferson's congressional seat is Malik Rahim. Since I live in the district, I probably will be voting for him. The rest of you may wish to look him up and contribute.

Second, it's hard to argue with Marta's point about the futility of voting for president this year, given the inauguration chart. However, unless I can be convinced otherwise, I'm of the opinion that we actually ARE participating in this election whether we vote or not. Because we live here, and we are of voting age, one way or the other, we may be influencing who gets in as much by our non-vote as by our vote.

I wonder if the perception of the futility of voting is a part of the US Progressed Sun in Pisces: the elites completely take over, so our response is learned helplessness. And a sense of futility.

On a personal note, the August 1 eclipse is in an exact square with my natal Mars in Taurus. Maybe this gives me a tendency to argue more than I should. I'll try to be careful.

Marta [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Gina, interesting comment you just posted. Personally I look on the act of "not voting" as being a very proactive thing. I am declaring to myself and the world that I am not going to participate in a charade and give it any meaning, when in fact, I believe at this particular point in time it is meaningless. The effect of proactively deciding not to vote has been greatly liberating to me personally. Far from creating a sense of hopelessness, it's given me hope in a better future, a future where we do have power. A future where votes do count, where candidates are not "selected" for us. Didn't India with Ghandi do something of the same? Resistance of the status quo and non-cooperation with untruths can be powerful tools for change. Change starts within each of us on a personal level and then creates arcs outward.

Clymela and Sally, glad you liked the site, Frugal.com. It thought it was fascinating and very useful.

karen [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Hello All! and Judith!

Many of you have probably read this, but i'll post just because. . .this is another take on what Sally and Morgana have been writing about in regard to the coming eclipse.

http://stariq.com/Main/Articles/P0008843.HTM

Something you wrote, Sally about "the daddy society" just triggered another thought about our childish society. Far too many parents have given their children guilt gifts instead of love, affection, time and discipline. Because most children learn quickly to use this to their advantage, they become child adults who are often mean, self-indulgent and undisciplined. To shield themselves, parents express their pride in these ne'er do well children, protect them, and often bail them out of one situation or another, including jail.

And, it looks as though the taxpayer -- who has been supporting all these childish shenanigans for our social malalise -- will continue paying more. It's time for a little tough love. The high rollers raking of millions from Freddie and Fannie Mac need a lot more than a slap on the wrist.

clymela [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Gina-thanks for the name, Malik Rahim. I was so mocewd by his words and thoughts. Suggesting that we send some money his way is good.

Sally [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Thanks Karen for the link, this eclipse absolutely does have some interesting hits this year. All eclipse's do actually, but this has some impactful aspects on our "leaders" (sorry I have to use that word as a tongue in cheek) One of the most dramatic aspects to me of this eclipse is the fact that it falls across the Pluto of a huge generation born in 1942, 1943, 1944 and 1945. That's the beginning of the baby boomer years and would include masses of people who would feel impacted by the events of this eclipse.

Gina, that's a pretty accurate assessment of the "system" whether we vote or not. I will be one who votes with a heavy heart feeling like "this will all go on and on." I look back over history and what stands out the most is the repetition of events and a few steps forward for humanity and then a few steps back. I keep coming to the same conclusion, "earth is one giant school house for generations and we are all singing the same tunes only in different rounds." and they wonder why apathy sets in with voters. It seems that only on occasion does a leader rise up that massively changes things for good or for ill. Lincoln and FDR changed things for good, except for the people who disagreed with them. Reagan and GWB seemingly has changed things for ill and there have been those who thought they were right. As a people maybe we are more like the "wave" they do at football games, "waving" this way and then that way.

Clymela, what does "mocewd" mean?

qop [TypeKey Profile Page]:

No apathy here..........more OUTRAGE!

NEOBuckeye [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Karen, your post reminded me of an encounter I had doing part-time security policing fire lanes at a shopping center not so long ago. I confronted a middle aged baby-boomer male sitting in a huge Chevy Suburban-ish vehicle. Apparently, he was waiting for his wife to come out of the store. I told him that he had to clear the fire lane per center policy and city and state law, not to mention the fact that there was a sign about 3 feet away sticking out of the ground as a reminder.

Where most people would have either quietly moved or else asked me for just a couple of extra minutes, which I usually permit anyway, this man proceeded to state that he wasn't parked, but rather he was "stopped" because he had his foot on the brake pedal. Again I advised him of the law, to which he responded that the police would not have had a problem with him simply being "stopped" instead of parked. We probably went in verbal circles like that for 5 minutes, during which time I observed this man's blood pressure rise to triple that of the 55 degrees it must have been at the time.

Finally, when it seemed I was getting nowhere by repeatedly stating the obvious, I returned to my vehicle to call for supervisor backup. Just as I began to do so, the man's wife returned to enter his vehicle, and the man himself proceeded to erupt into what, from my view appeared to be a tantrum of a two-year old who had just been denied his favorite TV show by mom. I wish I could say that I'd never seen anything like it before or since, but I'd be lying. What's really interesting is, there are some adults whose kids not only come to their rescue but prove themselves to be far more mature and responsible. I've handled a couple of instances like this lately, so maybe there's hope.

qop [TypeKey Profile Page]:

The company closed its last U.S. production facility in 1988 in western Pennsylvania (poppy's watch!)

The company holds only a 2 percent share of the U.S. market. VW officials have said the company intends to more than triple its U.S. sales to 1 million by 2018.
50 mi per gal people! and they( VW) are working on a model that gets 160 m p g.
will be ready in 2009!

NEOBuckeye [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Sally, I think the legacy of Reagan and GWB is their illustration of the fact that you can shortchange, swindle and even outright steal from people, eliminate their jobs and send their sons and daughters off to fight and die for your latest profiteering scheme, and even after all of that, some of them will still support you and even outright adore you. They called Reagan "the great communicator" for a reason. He made people feel good even when they were being decimated by his administration's bad policies.

So I guess when I screw up on my job, even if I cause the company to go bust, somebody, somewhere will still admire me for doing so. Twisted human nature, I guess?

QOP, it's all a game to these people. For Bush, it's about keeping the economy propped up until January 21, 2009. Then, when he is safely hidden away in Paraguay, it can crash. If it happens before then, however, he'll just blame the "Libruls" and everyone else who didn't let his Oil buddies drill offshore so that they could try and pretend that it would be enough to lower the gas prices. Pluto is Rx back in Sag once more, so it's all about power to extreme beliefs and avoiding responsibility at all costs.

Gina [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Hope--you bet there is hope!

That's why I fully intend to vote, in one of the reddest of red states.

While I'm not optimistic about our nation's future, at least in the short run, and I'm leery of where our "leaders" want to lead us, I still don't see how giving up the last little bit of power I have is somehow empowering.

After so many people have sacrificed and died so that we can have our one little vote, our "leaders" are still trying to discourage us from voting. They may succeed and they may win--at least for now--but I'm not going to let them do that without having my say in how and where they want to take us.

Oh yeah--one more thing--I hear that Toyota is bringing a Prius factory to Mississippi, to begin production in 2010; actually, they're shutting down production of their truck and SUV factory and replacing it with one that will build Priuses. That can't come soon enough.

Sally [TypeKey Profile Page]:

I am beginning to look forward to a new America or being part of building a new America. A ton of people never had the America we thought we had. Even if we don't think so and perhaps our lives weren't the way we hoped we still had a better America than millions of others through the years. I thought about Phil Graham and his "nation of whiners" and I agree and the Phil Graham's of the world are why we whine. Read this article, things that were going on in the US during the times we thought were so great, they weren't for a lot of people

http://counterpunch.com/lisnoff07152008.html

I don't know if any of these people (administration) get theirs (I confess to a hope they do) but I am more interested in shinning the spotlight on those in Congress who have gone along to get along, and the same goes for the media. I may feel this election isn't going to get us what we want or need but it could be a start to a new way of relating in the world. I am tired of being a sick nation, tired of the "authoritarian rule" our Sun/Saturn square has set us up for in this country and the denial and national sickness of the Mars/Neptune square.

I didn't listen to GWB's qop, because I have lost all stomach for him and what he has to say. I did read that he said "the economy is coming back strong" on a day that the Dow is trying to grasp and hang onto 11,000 all the while looking at the canyon below them as they dangle over the edge.

Until the day I die I will cling to "there is a new and better day comin" and I will keep chasing it all the while

qop [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Guess we need a Marshall Plan here in America.
It sure did work wonders for the Germans & Japanese.
Too bad GM can't make the adjustment!
I guess I had a strong reaction to bush's speech today, because the evil was oozing out! Was that A Grimm's or H C Anderson fairy tale where the character opened her mouth to speak and snakes & toads spewed forth?

NEOBuckeye [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Gina, while on a road trip to visit family, I saw the signs for that new Toyota plant in Tupelo, Mississippi. I haven't looked up that town's natal chart, but I would bet you a fortune that Tupelo is on the rise and we will be seeing and hearing much more of them in the years to come. It will bring massive and much welcome economic opportunity for a region in a state that in its entirety seems hopelessly poor, socially and economically stagnant, and forever mired amidst the still restless and bitter ghosts of a troubled and not so distant past. But it will bring many other changes, an influx of people and diversity amongst those people that the region and the state itself will have to learn how to cope with and grow.

I call Mississippi and Alabama "twins" because NASA's home in Alabama notwithstanding, the depth of the poverty and ignorance shared between these two "deep South" states is astounding. I always feel like I am literally taking a trip back in time 30 years whenever I visit. Many people, African-Americans in particular fled the South and headed North seeking an escape into a better world from two other closely-linked twins, racism and poverty. But with Alabama's recent successful lure of Japanese auto factories, and now Mississippi's, maybe, just maybe, these two states will finally have the chance to address and resolve some of their long-standing karmic debts.

Sally [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Interesting comment Neo regarding Tupelo, Miss. because for the last year or so I've seen Tupelo pop up in stories and had to look it up because I hadn't heard of it before. They've had water problems, and Fema problems all kinds of things and no Toyota is building a plant. I think you are right, we will be hearing a lot about Tupelo, I will look them up and get their chart.

Sally [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Neo, Tupelo was founded July 20, 1870 (I took a 12:00am time) here is a time line of history in Tupelo (Elvis was born there)It's not a very big city but lots of history (that doesn't include Elvis)Toyota announced their intent to build a factory there when Uranus was trining their Uranus

karen [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Morning Awers! Woke with a revealatory thought this morning, but need a little help fleshing it out, and knew this was a great place to get that kind of thoughtful feedback.

It's time to truly realize "power to the people." We do not need corporate entities to decide our energy futures. Their "shock doctrine" approach to human needs are no longer wanted. Instead, how could we the people create a consortium of doers? Doers who help make available inexpensive components for solar/wind/alternative energies. Doers who are available to help each homeowner, apartment dweller, et al install those energies? What would this consortium look like? What kind of agreement between the doers would inspire yet be practical?

It's time to begin taking back our own "power" a little twist on what Sally has been saying for a number of years now.

Sally [TypeKey Profile Page]:

It's a great idea Karen, and something that needs some thought on how to get started. What would that look like? A consortium of that magnitude might be a little difficult, but not impossible. I wonder if there are groups already in existance that could give some guidance like Habitat for Humanity or a group we could be an extension or arm. If we would be a non profit that would take some time to get approved, as well as get permits from the city, but another group would already have some of that.

karen [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Just wrote to Habitat with this suggestion. Will keep everyone updated regarding a response, if any. Also, will keep searching for those organizations who, most likely, have visioned the same thing.

On a personal level, my husband and i are going to experiment with plastic water containers painted black. We're going to stack them along a south wall and see if how much heat they absorb during the winter -- a passive solar approach. I'm getting pretty handy with my saws. Thus far i've made a french country table, a picnic table, several bookshelves, and more. Getting better at it all the time. So, i should be able to create shelving units for the plastic. Yes? ;0

NEOBuckeye [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Very interesting notes on Tupelo, Sally. Thanks. I know it isn't a big town now, but from some of the talk I've recently heard and seen about the area, I've been wondering if this might lead them down the path towards becoming a much more populous and thriving city. The Toyota plant deal (and a Prius-producing plant at that!) certainly had the sudden energetic signature of Uranus about it. We now know why.

qop [TypeKey Profile Page]:

How about the aspects for Chattanoga Tenn, where VW is going to build a 1 mil dollar plant. I just wrote a letter to the editor of Der Spiegal, detailing what I would like to purchase in a VW.

I also pointed out that the day of the crafter & itinerate peddler is going to make a comeback, as the economy worsens, and corporate jobs tank.
ajc.combusiness news has an article about the new plant and also that Newell Rubbermaid is going to cut back on it manufactured products because of the high cost of resins. They will ditch the low end products ( that we all know and need!) in favor of the high end products that bring them more profit!

qop,
Exactly, every year we attend Renaissance Faires, Art & Wine Festivals and Powwows where local artisans and vendors sell there wares. My husband goes to the local Farmers Market on Tuesdays to pickup local grown veggies and fruits. Our local news was talking about the rise in sales of bicycles, bet those prices spiked too. I got a bicycle two years ago, used, but it was the new fangled kind with the foot pedals altered for folks with crappy bodies so it doesn't stress my Achilles tendons I blew them out. Anyway point about the bicycle is that I also got an old fashioned wicker basket on it, deep enough to hold groceries. I like to go ride and pick wildflowers as well.
But at the same time I'm really interested in vending online wares just haven't gotten around to doing anything about it. Where the world is your market place.

qop [TypeKey Profile Page]:

Me too Morgana,
I started to take an e-bay sales workshop at the gov's conference a few years ago. I didn't stay, I was interested in sellingmy artwork and the other attendees wwere picking up things like tupperware at 2nd hand shops or the dump and reselling them. I did however keep the notes, and may be they were prescient, with the reduction of manufactured plstic containers, the whole country night go into a serious tailspin. Ind=fact THAT might have more impact than the high price of gas!
I value my life too much to ride a bike into town here. ( have had & ridden bikes in downtown Philly And NJ.) Here there is a barely 2 lane road, no shoulder many curves and hills, and tractor trailor/dumptrucks/ box trucks, all going faster than they should on this road!
But it's less than a mile into town.

It's been awhile since I last posted on this site (pre-registration) but I'd like to now ask any of the astrologers here for some additional feedback re this coming August. From reading this and other astro blogs (Astro-Pro, Steve Judd, Starlight News, etc.) I get the strong sense that there could indeed be some very dramatic events both financially and geo-politically (of course always connected in some way} next month.

It certainly seems like we are now irrevocably set up for some pretty serious bank failures and a further (and perhaps life changing) dollar value deterioration as foreign govt. owned "sovereign wealth funds" in increasingly bigger numbers dump their dollar demoninated holdings.

So my two questions are (not so much any more about Iran in the very short term as miraculously, Bush seems to have been convinced by Gates, Rice, etc. to at least show the pretense of trying some diplomacy there, undoubtedly causing Cheney, Addington, Bolton, Olmert, etc. to foam at the mouth in rage and desperation):

1/Are there astro signatures for an imminent financial meltdown, i.e. hyperinflation, 7-8 dollar (or more) per gallon gas prices, systemic failure of multiple big investment banks (UBS, Lehman Bros, perhaps even Merill, Lynch, etc.) causing serious worldwide panic and runs on other banks, or will this (now inevitable IMO) unraveling be a more gradual but continous process building into and throughout the fall and winter?

2/Will things get so bad by election day that because of the economic situation (and/or a false flag terrorist event) Bush will take the now fairly widely feared action of suspending the elections and declaring some kind of a martial law situation under a 'continuity of govt.' regime so that he does not have to worry about war crime indictments after leaving office. Also will there finally be at least one patriot willing to reveal what he/she knows about the true events of 9/11 (and if something like martial law is declared, will the military and state and local police depts. actually support it, or rather finally revolt against the mad Emperor)??

I realize I'm asking for a lot here, and at best its pure speculation of how the upcoming intense astro energies will actually play out, but I would would really appreciate any offered commentary, as I haven't been sleeping very well lately...

I was just doing a search on organic produce and found this belated article on fluoridation.

Fluoridation: The Fraud of the Century
By Anita Shattuck

Fluoridation is not about "children’s teeth," it is about industry getting rid of its hazardous waste at a profit, instead of having to pay a fortune to dispose of it.

Good grief Crystal, I had heard something about this several years ago but hadn't seen anything comprehensive like this on the subject. What on earth is the matter with business in this country where we are all fodder for whatever business wants to put out, and why do we take it.

Here's another crack pot idea and good for Hillary for standing up for this or standing against it loudly and long.

Kucinich Says Unidentified Foreign Official Wants to Speak at Impeachment Talks
I’ve been contacted by representatives of a U.S. ally who are seeking an opportunity to appear before the Judiciary Committee,” he said in an interview.
http://www.cqpolitics.com/wmspage.cfm?parm1=5&docID=news-000002917906

“Legislative leaders of a foreign capital” have a “new angle that I haven’t thought of before but is relevant,” he said. “This interest in whether we’ve been told the truth has extended to other countries.”

Kucinich would not provide further detail.
MY GUESS!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeremy_Greenstock
Greenstock wrote a book about his role in the Iraq war that was expected to be released in the Autumn of 2005. On November 27, 2005 The Times reported that the publication of Greenstock's book had been barred by the Cabinet Office.[1] Officials who have seen the book are understood to have been 'deeply shocked' over the way in which Greenstock has quoted widely from 'privileged' private conversations with Tony Blair, Jack Straw and from the private deliberations of the UN Security Council. Greenstock has been asked to remove all these sections before the book can be cleared for publication.[2]

Yup!
My Motyher trotted me off to the Dentist for the very first ever flouride treatments to prevent cavities............I am wearing dentures today!
The Dr's also tried to zap my tonsils away with radiation...................I am with out a thyroid today!

Sally [TypeKey Profile Page]:

That's interesting qop, I didn't have floride treatments when I was young because of some medication I was taking, but my brother did. My teeth aren't too bad but my brother has terrible teeth. I had my tonsils out when I was 8 years old and by 11 my thyroid was no longer working. Very interesting

Whew! The flouride issue NEEDS to be aired widely. I remember the fight about this -- several communities in the 50s and 60s did not want this poisonous additive in their water supplies, yet creeping (or creepy) armies of lobbyists with suspect facts were able to flush the truth.

The same suspect facts apply to the "treatment" of cholesterol. This poison is also based on bad research done on dead soldiers from the vietnam era. If you're worried about your cholesterol take red yeast rice tablets, instead of the poison prescribed.

qop. . .you're on top of your game making the connection with Kucinich and Greenstock. I vaguely remember this little news bit. Thank you!

Back out today for more stonework. Putting river stone we've been gifted with (from a neighbors yard)to put on the front of our home. We've already "stoned" the back. It's beautiful and adding to the energy effciency we're hoping to achieve. Now this is a way to build muscles!

Thanks Bob, I'm sure you took a look at his chart with his Gemini in a sextile to all that Leo. He absolutely could be Dennis' secret witness. With his Mars squaring Mercury he has been a very angry person and not above telling others what he thinks, no matter the consequences. T-Jupiter coming to a grand earth trine with his Mars and Venus should stabilize whatever he says, at least that's my hope because the media could make mincemeat out of him.

According to the "pool" report, Obama took off from Andrew's Air Force Base at 3:17pm for Afghanistan on July 17th. Senator McCain who informed the world that Obama would be in Afghanistan this weekend, breaking security, had Saturn conjunct his Sun. One can be overcome with jealousy with that aspect and I expect Sen. McCain is jealous at this point in time because of all the hoopla around Obama's trip to Afghanistan, Iraq and Europe.Obama has Saturn conjunct his Pluto and Mars just passed over that Pluto giving him a power boost as well as placing him in danger. With Saturn on Obama's Pluto it will be interesting to see how Europe responds to him

Frito Lay is making their sun chips, using solar energy>to produce steam to cook them. Don't know how that would work with fried chips?
Seen on the weather channel......

Morgana [TypeKey Profile Page]:

qop, I saw that piece earlier on the Weather Channel about the solar Sun Chips plant in Modesto. What a great idea! I'm looking forward to the day when everyman can harness solar energy for his energy needs. I put up a new article that this solar energy falls right in line with.

Morgana [TypeKey Profile Page]:

qop the idea I think was for a healthier chip that isn't fried. But I am sure the same process could be used to heat an element to boil the fat for frying.

At the close of the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia on September 18, 1787, a Mrs. Powel anxiously awaited the results, and as Benjamin Franklin emerged from the long task now finished, asked him directly: "Well Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?" "A republic if you can keep it" responded Franklin.
