An Astrological Cornucopia accompanied GWB's speech tonight. All the elements were there, earth, air, water and fire, lots of fire. Mars, Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn were all in fire. Mars at 25 degrees Sagittarius, just spitting over the edge of the Galactic Center. Pluto at 27 degrees is deep within the clutches of the Black Hole known as the Galactic Center. Jupiter at 10 degrees sits astride the evil and violent fixed star Rastaban (it's known for lasting pain.) The Ascendant at 8 degrees Virgo, conjuncts the selfish, mean, shameless and egotistical fixed star Zosma. The ascendant also squares the US Uranus known as the nuclear degree, squares the 2005 Inaugural Moon and conjuncts GWB's Mars; our President was very intent on more and more and more war and milking the United States dry and was delivering that message tonight.
The 2005 Inaugural Saturn conjuncts the US Mercury indicating a muting of American voices, but the people behind those voices are angry just not quite ready to explode or don't know exactly how to do so or what to say but they are angry at the impunity with which the message was delivered, "who cares what you think."
His comments on Iran, while delivered with a subdued, passive, disinterested monotone, still has the "rinestone cowboy" intent. Iran doesn't have strong aspects for war, however transiting Pluto is conjunct their Venus and Venus is capable of getting into a snit and doing something stupid in the name of their integrity and pride. Think of William Wallace understandably but ill advised, going against the King in Braveheart. Iran is heavily involved with the insurgents in Iraq whether admitted or not.
Will this "surge" work? No. There are 27 million people in Iraq, the 140,000 troops we have now isn't enough to stop the killings, another 20,000 only puts us back to where we were when we went into Iraq and that was a disaster. We will have to wait to see what Congress does and even if they won't fund it, the President has enough money left from their last funding to send the troops with or without the approval of Congress. Even if he does go around Congress and send the troops, it's too little, too late and cannot possibly accomplish any objective, just like the war itself.
George Bush has of late been dubbed Caligula, whose life devolved into insanity and tragically ended assassinated by the very guard whose jobs were to protect him. http://www.vroma.org/~bmcmanus/caligula.html
The pundits are rightly reporting that the President is standing alone except for John McCain and Joe Lieberman (Saturn is in an exact square to Joe's Mars, big mistake for Joe) looks like that "kiss" meant something after all.
If this run away admistration can possibly stop their death train, I would take the first window open to get out of Iraq. I don't hold out much hope for that because we've yet to hear the truth of this war agenda and Bush is fulfilling someone's idea of progress, it just isn't the majority of the world's concept.
Think peace, think oneness with humanity, think light in the world, it's our way out.
