Mount Rainier rises majestically above the Western Washington skyline above Seattle/Tacoma. The new moon a cold silver sliver at 28 Capricorn v/c is crystallized in the cold glacier capped volcano, stirring, rumbling, alive.
Capricorn oft lauded for it's stability, it's monolithic corporations and institutions, its stern, heartless, and punitive nature. Symbolized by the Seagoat whose mythological origins lie in Babylonian antiquity, Capricorn is depicted as the Babylonian God Ea. Ea has the upper torso of a goat and the lower body is that of a fish. The Greeks ascribe Capricorn to the Great God Pan depicted with the muscular torso of a man and the strong sensual legs of a goat.
The new moon is void of course. It's energies fluid, molten, creating its own path. Risen in the frigid sky above Washington DC the new moon stands in the 4th House, the People's House conjunct the Sun. Much like the people of America silently seething as the sun yet again occludes their will.
Jupiter squaring Uranus will amplify the flying monkey wrenches that are being lobbed from the 6th House, the House of Armies, Military and Wars...Iraq, Iran, the boiling cauldron of magma that is the Middle-East with George continuing to stir the pot and stoke the fire.
Chiron at 9 Aquarius trines the 9 Libra Ascendant evoking painful self realization on the national level of our nations shame and the depths of depravity that George Bush has led us into.
Saturn in Leo in the 11th House of the Congress has a weak in-conjunct to the new moon/sun further hardening the resolve of both the people and the president. The restricting actions of Saturn will both hinder and hamper the people and the president.
The new moon in Capricorn is in its detriment, not a happy camper. It is in an initiating phase, as well as a Cardinal sign amplifying its initiatory nature. The moon, the people, are unfeeling, unsympathetic. The people are cold, literally and figuratively, like Mount Rainier the deep rumblings of unrest let you know it it is stirring, awake and will erupt. Just like Mount Rainier.
