A sometimes poster "M" and oft times lurker reminded me of this aclaimed play by Samuel Beckett in the late 40's. There is a cast of characters who are awaiting someone by the name "Godot." You never see him and you really never know why he is important.
Initially the play received mixed reviews because the author never explained the meaning of the play, and it was unclear who, what, where or why they were waiting for "Godot." Overtime that has seemed to provide endurance to the success of the story as one can relate and must think of what it means to them.
Through the years and many productions it was determined the play was a explanation of life. People always waiting for someone or something to happen and it never seems to come. It's endless for the human race, even if what they were waiting for does come, we only start waiting again for something else, thereby the sense of waiting never ends, and there are as many big and small things to wait for as there are people who wait.
"Waiting for Godot" seems a perfect metaphor for today as we wait for Rove to be indicted, the so called "war" to be over, a true leader to stand up and Mr. Bush to stand down. Some of us are waiting for the US to go back to the way it was, and some of us are waiting for it to go forward. Right now we are "waiting" for Karl Rove to be indicted or not, but he is not Godot, Rove is more "Lucky" the servant of Pozzo, who dances at the end of the leash held by Pozzo.
And who is Pozzo?
In this case I believe it's Cheney whose Moon is at 22 degrees Pisces right on Karl's NN, and Karl's Saturn conjuncts Cheney's NN, they hold power over each other with Saturn trumping the Moon and Cheney the weaver of Charlotte's Web in the Plame affair. His Jupiter and Saturn square Karl's Mars from Taurus to Aquarius and Saturn will soon oppose Karl's Mars and square Cheney's Jupiter/Saturn. "Lucky" is dancing hard right now to save himself and "Pozzo" because his life depends upon it; if not his actual life, his political life and the foundation of this administration.
Is it possible the "taint" of the Plame scandal would fall more heavily on Mr. Cheney? Yes it is. Saturn continues extracting a price for our choices and actions as he travels around the zodiac. The progressed Moon in Cheney's chart is right now opposing his progressed Mars, transiting Saturn squares his Jupiter/Saturn and will soon oppose his Sun. Most damaging of all is his Solar Arc Mars squaring his Uranus, sudden and unexpected changes for him. He is riding a "wild horse" for the next two months and he won't know which way that horse will take him or when it will throw him off, but he is for sure losing the will to stay in the saddle.
We will continue to see the incredible shrinking presidency of George W. Bush as one by one his team that puffed him up, falls away. By the end of July he will feel as if he is alone fighting the battles that were created for him.
