A lot coming up this next week. The possibiity of finally hearing one way or the other if Karl Rove is to be indicted. The fact that he hasn't been indicted after all this time would indicate to me that there is either a weaker case than we know, or a bigger case than we know, but it's turned into one of those "strange" cases that seem to generate out of Washington. One thing is for sure, while Patrick
Fitzgerald is "dragging" his feet, or taking his time, or being really careful, or waiting for them to make a deal - Karl is working as fast as he can "swifting-boating" the Dems.
If General Hayden (March 17, 1945 Pittsburgh PA) is not confirmed as the CIA director, someone equally odious will be named to that position. I keep thinking this will be like kids and too much candy and they will all just get sick of themselves.
I know positive change doesn't look like it's coming soon; and for sure their "coup" is almost complete as there are very few left in government or the judiciary who can or will stand up to these people, certainly not "corporate," but underneath the underbelly of this slime and sleeze I believe there are new seeds of growth and a new foundation being laid.
I've been thinking that instead of drawing a fence around our borders, we should draw a fence around Washington to keep the politicians in their own cage. I am not sure they should be allowed human contact with normal people trying to live good and decent lives for themselves and their families.
We might have a chance if we can begin to contain the lies, corruption, trading votes and the best interest of the US for hookers and poker chips. This is akin to watching a train wreck coming and realizing in that split second before the train hits, that you are helpless to stop it. Your mind immediately turns to the clean up phase. That's almost where we are now, waiting for the train wreck and how are we going to clean it all up.
The Grand Water Trine has been lovely this last week, I've even felt a wave of pleasantries pass over people. I also had a very Republican (voted for Bush twice) and her husband sit and shake their heads saying "what on earth happened, how could we not have seen all this" they also said they had recently changed party affilation and would be actively working toward a change in Washington.
Scandals, protests, disasters just seem to come up with regularity and then wash away in time for more scandals, protests and disasters. The last 5 years have been absolutely mind boggling. Those of us who have seen it all along are like the early morning risers disgusted with those who have been sleeping until noon. Well now they are waking up, the poll numbers are down to 31 percent and that's before Saturn gets to GWB's 1st house cusp. Even if this administration does something dramatic to raise the poll numbers, I don't think they will be successful. You cannot replace innocence. The rose colored glasses have been ripped off the innocent and they are right now, staggering around in the blinding sun. This dramatic spring will give way to an equally dramatic summer, ushering in a very intense fall.
