In the wee hours of the morning of October 3, 2005 Pluto, the Lord of the Eclipse sits upon the throne of mid-heaven in the New Moon Solar Eclipse chart conjuncting Pluto on the mid-heaven of the Autumnal Ingress (AI) chart. The Ingress chart is the mother of events foreshadowed by the eclipse by virtue of the Suns fiery release of elemental energy at each one of the years critical moments. (Starcats Astrolaw).
Pluto is more often associated with death, rebirth and regeneration, like the Death card in a Tarot deck Pluto is associated with irrevocable and unstoppable change. Pluto's mythology is tied to Hades, as another name for Hades coined by the Ancients, "the god of the dead and ruler of the Underworld, in which the shades of dead human beings and certain mythological creatures such as the Titans were confined. He was a son of Cronos and Rhea and hence the brother of Jupiter, Neptune, Juno, Hestia and Demeter. His consort was Demeter's daughter Persephone. The name Hades was considered unlucky and used as little as possible, leading to the use of euphemistic titles such as Pluto ('the Rich' - Dis in Latin). He was thought to make the crops grow and produce wealth. The Underworld was a prison, but it was not a hell and Hades was a grim god but not evil." (Pluto mythological reference). Demeter, Persephone's mother is also known as Ceres, and her asteroid shares her properties.
Chasing a line of thought regarding Pluto on the Mid-heaven. The flavor of Pluto representing "the rich" and reflecting his ruthless lust for accumulating and growing wealth weighted with his vast destructive power interred here in the 10th House having crossed the threshhold at Autumnal Ingress aptly reflects the whack job(s) running the White House and like the Devil to whom they sold their covetous souls to, he has staked claim to that contract and the occupant best pay up. This then is the image of our leader.
Venus is in the 8th House at 24 Scorpio opposing both Mars and the AI Mars in the 2nd House. Venus is also forming a conjunction with the AI Ceres at 29 Scorpio, the very angry mother of Persephone. Last time Ceres was seriously ticked the world lay barren and void of crops until Pluto cut a deal with her.
Harbingers
In the dark hours preceding new moons and eclipses harbingers of things to come often manifest their energies in events that point to the things to come. Following on the heels of hurricane's Katrina and Rita comes typhoon Dragon King which as the eye slammed on shore in Taiwan the very earth was rocked by a 5.4 earthquake. Double the trouble.
Another harbinger ringing in the cosmos is the announcement of Planet Xena's having a newly found moon, named Gabrielle. It has been the practice of the astronomical community to properly name a new planet. The discoverer however has trumped them and the astrological community is already off and running with the Xena energies. Xena is at 20 Aries currently and sextiles the Lord of the Eclipse. Xena's energy could unfold as the female archetype of the Sacred Warrior as Chiron is the masculine embodiment of the Sacred Warrior. Xena and Gabrielle as well express the sexual dynamics emerging in the United States today and the push for equality on many levels.
Gotta chuckle, the image of Xena and Gabrielle creating havoc for Bushco just warms my heart. You have to wonder too, if Cindy Sheehan doesn't embody the sacred warrior image of the feminine, versus the image projected by Lindy England.

The confluence of planets in the 7th House (chart) all in Libra are amplifying the AI Mercury, SN, and Jupiter with the Solar Eclipse ascendent within spitting distance of the AI ascendent. What is afflicted, er, affected are treaties, alliances, wars, truces and open enemies found in the current national and international crisis where the Ring Master has directed the shows, Mess-o-patamia (thank you Jon Stewart), the Gulf Coast, and the disaster Bolton is creating at the UN. Thus Jupiter will greatly inflate and exaggerate Mercury (the press), allowing the potential for the karmic SN to bring it home to roost with it conjuncting the moon/sun/eclipse to park it at Bush's door step. Add the Solar Eclipse ascendent joining this menage trios who lays bare the false image being worn on the Solar Eclipse ascendent at 14 Pisces, all those holier then thou folks. Add one more component to this Power House, the 7th House is angular, activated, and the cardinal nature of the house expresses that these are NEW beginnings (albeit not a particularly pretty picture forming for the rez).
The US and the New Moon Solar Eclipse
In this chart the planets in Libra are in the 10th House lead by 25 Jupiter, 21 Mercury, a 13 degree karma you reap it buddy SN followed hard by the new moon/sun conjunction. The SN a breath past conjuncting the U.S Saturn. All that doodoo has raised a stench which wafts through the White House Chart .
Chiron conjuncts the US Chiron is certainly lacerating the US 2nd House. One need only fill their gas tank, or heat their home, turn on a light, or not, can't afford it! We won't mention the HUGE deficit now will we?
Uranus is moving just off an exact conjunction with the US Ceres as her anger roiled forth when Hurricane Rita bore down on Louisiana. The new Moon/Solar Eclipse Saturn is in-conjunct the US Uranus as well as the US Ceres. Last time Ceres was seriously ticked the world lay in a cold barren winter until Pluto cut a deal with her and once again the world knew warmth and the earth yielded forth her crops. Interestingly the MSM is preparing the American psyche for a woman President with a new drama starring Geena Davis as President in "Commander In Chief". Some pundits have even suggested there is an image Hillary might want to emulate.
The Venus Mars opposition ignites in the US 12th House in Scorpio. These energies are subtle in nature, much like a tsunami moving undetected beneath the ocean depths as it gathers energy to unleash its destruction on opposing shores. Venus in Scorpio in the house of things hidden, of enemies, assassins and secret societies.
Stand alone look at the New Moon Solar Eclipse
The new Moon breaks the darkness at 6:28 am (chart), the Solar Eclipse begins at 6:33 am. The Eclipse path effects are first felt in Spain, Portugal, bisecting the Iberian Peninsula, engulfing Madrid, it then straddles the Mediterranean follows a southeastern path through Algiers, Tunisia, Libya, then skirting Chad before entering Kenya and finally Somalia. The African land mass an area responsible for generating storm systems many of which eventually wend their way to the Americas in the form a hurricanes and tropical storms. We'll see a lot of activity from this area of the world.
In this view the Libra planets in the heavens above Washington DC spread their influence in the 1st House, that of our National Image. Venus opposing Mars involves our resource houses with Venus in Scorpio in the 2nd House, Mars retrograde in Taurus in the 8th House. Which looks more like I HAD then I HAVE.
Uranus, the old, "let me help your screw-up your train wreck", in-conjuncts, triggers, trips the trap wire with the new Moon Solar Eclipse and further it is inconjunct Saturn in Leo the focal point of the Yod, the Finger of God, splat on the 6th House of the Military, of armies, or Abu Ghraib, abuse, and the continuing atrocities occurring every single day in Iraq, Afghanistan and the American chain of gulags. The only planet trining this unholy mess is our delusionary oil fiend Neptune which serves only to befuddle the masses. Saturn the Judgement Bringer is smacking Congress, a recipient of the Uranus Yod, lets it spread the wealth around Delay, Frist, Rove, Libby, Cheney and the top Bandito Jorge. Near the end of a round table discussion on ABC’s This Week, George Stephanopoulos dropped this bomb:
Definitely a political problem but I wonder, George Will, do you think it’s a manageable one for the White House especially if we don’t know whether Fitzgerald is going to write a report or have indictments but if he is able to show as a source close to this told me this week, that President Bush and Vice President Cheney were actually involved in some of these discussions.
This would explain why Bush spent more than an hour answering questions from special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald. It would also fundamentally change the dynamics of the scandal. President Bush could no longer claim he was merely a bystander who wants to “get to the bottom of it.” As Stephanopoulos notes, if Bush played a direct role it could make this scandal completely unmanageable.
