There is so much good in the worst of us, and so much bad in the best of us that it ill behoves any of us to find the fault with the rest of us.
From time to time, in between articles, I am going to place an opportunity for a continued thread to facilitate the Astro/Political discussions and this is the first one.
Astrology is an in-exact science like most sciences and subject to interpretation of the energy. If one attempts to tie their ego into being "right" or the expert as it relates to their interpretations or that of their favorite "expert" they will be sadly disappointed and look like a fool.
If I told you what my actual educational background was or who my client base is or what I've done you may not continue to dig out your own infomation, make your own judgements seek your own interpretations, and that is true of ALL the professional astrologers who post on this page as their backgrounds are awesome and if we knew your educational background or experience it would FREAK us out, and if we don't continue to dig we all lose the richness of new thought.
I think of astrology as I think of our bodies. Our bodies are perfect and the answer to our health are in those bodies and yet mistakes are made by physicians and healers and experts. Not because the answer isn't there but because we don't always understand what we are looking at or for and we don't know that because we don't have all the information.
Astrology can never be mastered because the entire Universe has not been mastered, the keys and how they work haven't all been discovered.
Every single planet and sign and aspect has the potential for a positive and negative impact, there is a shadow to each one, and every single solitary person will alternately use the energy positively or negatively throughout their lives. It's not what the energy is, but how the energy is used and that is a daily choice for each one of us.
We don't know what kind of person George Bush really is or John Kerry for that matter or how they use their energy on a daily basis. I have my own subjective opinion, but the key word here is subjective, and I often times find my "subjective" voice in some of my articles. Mia Culpa! I could find good and evil in them both through their astrology chart. The problem with that is I could find the same thing in anyone's chart, including my own. I question the character of anyone who goes into politics and stays in politics, that's my negative filter.
Mundane Astrology is the study of a person's energy as it's applied to an event or another person, or a country, etc. Ever hear or speak the phrase "that person is driving me crazy?" They may not really be driving you crazy but their energy is damaging to your energy.
Right now half this country (and the rest of the world) is being driven "crazy" by the energy that has taken over this government, and the other half of this country thinks it's a good thing. To understand that, one needs to understand history and all the "ology" subjects as well as the individual filters in our own growing up lives.
There is more going on at a Universal level, an awakening if you will that is more important and valuable than who the next president might be, although the world leaders in place right now and in the near future are a part of this Universal awakening whether we like them or not.
Bill Clinton's and George Bush's Mercury conjunct Pluto in Leo has been and is a catalyst to uncover our country's own hypocrisy and corruption, for the Mercury/Pluto conjunction taps into the Universal shadow. The hypocrisy and corruption that has been going on in this country far too long has damaged us all, and we as a country, are faced with how we want to live our personal lives within our stated ideals or do we want to abandon America's ideals and let corruption and hypocrisy reign.
I rarely look at a person or a country and think what they need to change, I almost always look at myself and think what can I change in my life to bring the Universal Ideals I believe in come to pass. One thing for sure I can change is my passive attitude toward who is elected on my local level. I can boycott advertisers who support public figures promoting lies and hatred such as Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Rilley, or companies supporting known corrupt politicians. I can do that.
While this is not a teaching site (except what you might glean from the articles and each other) but I so support the extension into astrological thought, I support it and learn from it. I support links to other sites, I support ideas of how to make our little corner of the world better, and I don't think that everyone who disagrees with our interpretation is a freeper.
Once when I was pregnant I had two doctors and I would ask each what they thought the sex of the baby would be. One would say "boy" and the other "girl."
And they both said they had a 50 percent chance of being right. Well if Astroworld says "Kerry" and a few other sites say "Bush" we have a 50 percent chance of being right.
