The times they are a changin’ and no more so than in the higher echelons of those connected with political life. As Rummy attempts to save his job and his a**, let’s take a look at his chart, thanks to data info posted on Claudia Dikinis’ website Starcats.
Rummsfold (dare we hope) is undergoing some strenuous transits. His natal Chiron is located in the 6th house, at 27 degrees of Taurus. Now keep in mind that his wounded self (whether he knows it or not) is obviously connected with civil servants (his military underlings), his sense of getting what he feels entitled to (Taurus) and is conjunct the fixed star Caput Algol, 26TAU10, the most malefic in the fixed star spectrum. This is one mixed up guy, to say the least.
Currently the Sun and the New Moon connected to it on May 18th will transit this Chironic placement for dear old Rummy. Perhaps a new career is in the works for Mr. Blood and Guts. It seems to be so with transiting Saturn conjunct his natal Sun down the road in early July and his 10th house at 29 degrees of Virgo being squared by transiting Venus in Gemini later in the month of June. The transient North/South Node is exactly squaring his 10th house ruler Mercury, located in the natal 8th house, the house of sex, secrecy and death. Sounds like him, doesn’t it?
His Solar Return for July 9, 2004 finds the Sun one degree away from conjunction with Saturn, the great karmic reaper. He will deal with it’s energy for one whole year. For some that would be good, but in his case I wouldn’t count on it. We reap what we sow and he hasn’t sown anything but the seeds of destruction and war mongering, in my humble opinion.
With Uranus in Pisces conjoining the 10th house of the SR chart at 8 degrees of Pisces, his status is subject to unsettling, sudden change. Abrupt change I might add. A sudden resignation, a sudden loss of status from his ally, the ‘most right wing President in memory’, according to a BBC news article I read recently perhaps.
The Solar Return Chiron is conjunct his SR 8th house cusp, again, the themes of death, sex, secrecy and destruction are coming to the fore, along with Pluto placed in the 6th house. Don’t you love it when astrology just writes itself, all you have to do is type. That’s the easy part.
Now on to Great Britain. Referring to the aforementioned BBC article, the reference to George Bush was included in an analysis of the chances of Tony Blair staying in place. The idea being discussed was that Gordon Brown, Blair’s second in command, may step in and take his place. Blair says he will stay the course, but who knows? What are his aspects and those of his Labor Party comrade, Gordon Brown?
Gordon Brown was brown in Glasgow, Scotland on Feb. 2, 1951. Without a birth time I will use a noon chart to get the most accurate assessment of the planets on that day as possible. Gordon Brown has Venus, Mars, Jupiter and the North Node all at various degrees of Pisces. Transiting Uranus will be conjuncting them one by one. In addition, transiting Jupiter is opposing them, also one by one, along with squaring his Sagittarian Moon. Since the Moon was at 20 degrees of Sagittarius on the birth day at noon, it is most likely Gordon Brown has his Moon in Sagittarius.
Transiting Neptune is moving away from its conjunction with Gordon Brown’s Sun, which is also conjunct Tony Blair’s natal Moon. Are they both having the scales fall away from their eyes at the same time? And what do they see, I wonder? Is it the true nature of George Bush and company? One can only hope.
Brown certainly has a rapport and affinity for Tony Blair, with the Sun/Moon conjunction they possess, but he is ambitious, given his Mercury in Capricorn and his Sun opposite Pluto aspect. How far does loyalty go with this man I wonder? And how good a replacement for the beleaguered Tony Blair would he be? Time will tell, and time will tell if he gets his chance at the pot of gold at the end of the political rainbow.
Now for the poor deluded Mr. Blair. He has certainly fallen from grace, as discussed in the majority of articles being published in the British media. Tony Blair has Chiron transit his natal 10th house, so he too is experiencing his Chironic wounds in public. How humiliating to have your faith in someone (George Bush) and someone’s rhetoric be so dashed to the ground and shown to the world for the hollowness that it was based on. How humiliating to be caught in so many lies, and to have your allegiance to this person and his agenda be shown up for the fraud it is.
Uranus has recently squared Blair’s ascendant at 4 degrees of Gemini and this again shows the erratic nature of he is presenting to world personality-wise. Is he a well meaning idealist gone sour, or is he just unable to think for himself for some reason, and under the sway of the more forceful George Bush? Who knows, but again, Blair’s basic nature and character is being debated by the British press.
Blair’s Jupiter at 29 degrees is in Taurus and in the 12th house and conjunct his ascendant. Jupiter is in line for a direct hit from the New Moon on May 18th . This New Moon, in 28Tau33 portends an end connected with a beginning, since it is at the very end of the sign of Taurus and conjunct Caput Algol, the aforementioned most malefic star in the zodiac, by 2 degrees.
The very tragic Nicholas Berg, whose birth date I do not possess, was allegedly beheaded by someone in Iraq recently. Whether it was the CIA, the Arab terrorists, the FBI, Iraqi prison guards, American prison guards, or persons unknown, I can’t say. I can’t even say if it was an actual beheading, since I have not seen the video and many reports are saying that the video is inconsistent with what happened to Mr. Berg.
I do know of the case of Charles Horman, who was a free lance journalist in Chile and died during the aftermath of the coup in that country on September 11th 1973. The movie ‘Missing’ by Costa Gavras probed into that death. It was later confirmed, when classified documents were released in 1999, that U.S. intelligence agents played a role in Hormans death. Can it be the same thing here? I don’t know.
With Caput Algol being caught up into the astrological dynamics of the New Moon, and since Caput Algol is the fixed star symbolically of losing one’s head, it can again only be said that Astrology writes itself, the astrologer just types.
