A New Year’s Chart unfolds as the world starts living out the year.

An example of the New Year's aspects and how it takes a full year to play out, in the US, the chart of Jan. 1, 1963 had the rulers of the 2nd and 8th house in a square aspect (Mars and Venus) and on the day JFK was assassinated (Nov. 22, 1963) Venus and Mars were conjunct in the 10th house with Venus opposing the natal US Mars. On Jan. 1st of that year Jupiter fell at 9 degrees Pisces, squaring the US natal Uranus. The day JFK died, Mercury and Uranus was in a T-Square to the US Uranus. An astute Astrologer could easily see that JFK was in danger on the 21, 22, and 23 of November 1963.

On January 1, 2000 the Moon opposed Saturn (the people’s wishes thwarted) the Moon also was inconjunct the US Uranus (something shocking for the people that they didn’t understand.) Mars, on January 1st was at 27 degrees Aquarius. Election day at 7:00am EST, the Moon was at 26 degrees Aquarius, and Saturn was at 28 Taurus (repeating the January 1st debilitation between these two planets) and both were debilitating the January 1st Mars, another indication of anger and frustration of the people on Election Day. Uranus was also involved promising shock, shock, shock.

Fast forwarding to January 1, 2004 there is a T-Square between Sun in the 4th House at 10 Capricorn (where it always is on the 1st of every January) Saturn in the 10th house at 9 Capricorn retrograde and Mars at 9 Aries in the 7th.

Venus, Mars, Saturn and Pluto will be important planets to watch this year. Saturn will retrograde back over Mars and then direct, reforming the same T-Square twice.

Mars and Saturn squaring in Cardinal signs indicate extreme frustrated action, and there are difficult astrocartography lines falling over Washington, DC in this January Chart. Some angry and aggravated Cabinet heads and Congressional Power brokers, look for more scandals, and more leaks. The anger among the administration players will lead to knee jerk resignations.

The combination of these two also relates to dry conditions in some areas of the world, earthquakes in other areas, and extreme volcano activity. Saturn and Mars builds up the pressure until something explodes and it’s going to be Mother Earth. When you are dealing with the parental axis (10th and 4th ) our leaders and our home will feel under attack.

Pay attention to where you get your beef. Jupiter (ruling large animals) in the 12th house (also ruling large animals) squares Pluto in the 3rd. There is a real sickness out there with our cows, someone or several someone’s in the media knows about it and will keep it under wraps until spring or mid-summer. We are not out of the woods on the Mad Cow Disease, not by a long shot. Late spring and mid-summer is also one of the times Venus, Pluto and Mars becomes big players this year.

Mars in the USA Chart co-rules the 12th house in Scorpio along with Pluto (remember, 12th rules big animals) Mars in the US natal chart squares Neptune, the natural ruler of the 12th house (ruling big animals) Feel like I’ve brought you back around in a circle. It is a circle, Neptune likes circles and confusion and chaos. Anytime that planet is being aspected or is aspecting another planet, you will find confusion and chaos. Let’s look at the 12th House. There are all kinds of things that fall into the 12th house.

I like to think of the 12th house where all our angels and all our demons reside and you never know which one will be coming through the door. With Jupiter in the 12th and square to Pluto, look for wolves in sheep’s clothing.

Mars, USA Chart, 21 degrees Gemini.
Neptune, USA Chart 22 degrees Virgo

Pluto starts out in Capricorn in the USA chart and the first time it aspects Mars at 21 degrees Gemini and Neptune at 21 degrees Pisces was in1813/1814 and on Aug. 24, 1814 Pluto was at 21 Pisces in a square to Mars and opposition to Neptune, the British burnt down the White House.

The second time the US Mars and Neptune was aspected by Pluto was in 1906, when Pluto was at 21 degrees Gemini, (conjuncting the USA Mars and squaring Neptune) and on April 18, 1906 the great San Francisco Earthquake struck.

In 1968 Pluto was traveling in Virgo conjuncting the US Neptune and squaring Mars, Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King, Jr. were assassinated on that aspect and the country was thrown into a sense of turmoil and the revolutionary energy of the hippy movement began to heat up.

These were not the only things that happened with a Pluto aspect to America’s Mars and Neptune but they were some of the more dramatic events. Even John Kennedy was assassinated when Venus and Mars conjuncted in opposition and square to the Mars/Neptune.

So what is likely to happen over the next 18 months with Pluto opposing Mars and squaring Neptune.

Mad Cow disease is one good bet, another is a scandal with the pharmaceutical companies, a BIG scandal. Our drug riddled society needs to take a look at ourselves and a look at the people promoting those drugs. There could also be a look at if there is a cure for cancer and why that cure is being withheld. We, the American people will learn of our illusion and folly of believing the government would take care of us if we paid our taxes without complaint.

The government is stripping our taxe dollars out of social services for us and pumping up the “war on terror” so we will continue paying the taxes and getting nothing out of it except a bunch of military arms to kill other innocent people in other countries. Halliburton, Roots Brown, Carlyle Group, Lockheed/Martin, Boeing etc, get our money. The military isn’t living well, but the folks who supply the military are living very well on our tax dollars. If we complain about our tax dollars going to support the Bush Cartel’s “arms pirates” we may just find our that “terrorists will blow us up, then we will be sorry. They have to keep us in fear so we won’t ask where the money is going.

Lies our government has been telling us for decades will come flying out of the 12th house like crazy, first it will be the Democrats lies, then the Republicans. Conspiracy theories regarding 9/11 will abound gaining ground with the public unless there is a more open attitude in this administration and that’s doubtful. Wait until Saturn squares the US natal Saturn and the Mercury position on 9/11.

Saturn has and will again transverse Condi Rice’s South Node. That is usually a loss of what was gained or taken that wasn’t yours in the beginning. And Colin Powell is looking for a new beginning someplace else. I hope his son joins him. I have almost decided that Dick Cheney is dead and we are seeing a look-alike. At any rate he has become a joke and aspects don’t look good for him. Rupert Murdoch (of Fox) has a tough time coming ahead and that could translate to Fox Media. Since Al Franken’s book “Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them” came out, Fox has been on the hot seat.

With the tinniest bit of luck the media will be seen for what they are and how they have mislead and confused the public for way too long. Religion will continue to be an embarrassment. I have never predict death and I have never tried to predict the Pope’s death (although many have) but I believe there will be a new pope this year and he will irritate the Cardinal Red of Rome. At least the ones who have been there a long time and tied to the “old.”

Look for Venus and Mars to set the whole thing off toward the very end of April the first of May. Venus even retrogrades on 22 Gemini squaring exactly the US Neptune. Venus is going to keep the Mars/Neptune square a hot button all summer, as well as applying pressure to GWB’s own Uranus and Nodal axis. Pluto oppose Uranus is generational and often time indicates a switch in careers. Has anyone ever thought George won’t run again?

One thing for sure, the economy will be up and down this year. Uranus in Pisces helps our Cancer Venus and Jupiter conjunction, but the Sun/Mars/Saturn T-square will pay havoc with investments. The stock-brokers and economists I know have said that the so-called recovery we have now is built on shifting sands.

Democrats and Republicans

At last George Bush is a “uniter.” The Republicans and Democrats are united on one front and that is “let’s get Howard Dean.” Both parties seem to agree on that issue. I frankly don’t know if Howard Dean is strong enough to take on both parties in order to secure the nomination.

It is still way too early to determine who is going to do what. Dean looks like the front-runner, and I think he is but that is only because he got out there first. After some of the primaries and the Democrat “pack” thins out a bit is where you will see whom and where the public is drawn. Right now there are just too many choices and we don’t know if we want green or blue.

Not until they narrow their field a bit will I spend too much time looking at all the candidates. Right now it’s Dean, Clark, Edwards (surprise) and Hillary. Hillary as a VP has a strong draw. Hillary as anything would mobilize the American White Male who so loves George Bush; they would pull out the stops to throw her off the mountain. However, it could also mobilize the American Woman (no matter what color she is)

On Election night 2000 at 7:00pm (when the polls closed in Washington) the Moon had transited to 2 degrees Pisces. That is close to the same degree of Uranus (3 Pisces) when women garnered the Right to Vote in 1920. That 2000 Moon was sitting up in the 10th house all by itself, and in 2004 Uranus will be sitting on that Moon. Are women about to deliver a surprise this year? I can’t even begin to delineate the VOC Moon at 29’59” Aries in this year’s January 1st chart. Is this a signal that the end of the Warrior mentality is at hand? I interpret this January 1st Moon as “war, war, war all the time, time, time” is wearing thin with the public, and because GWB’s 10th house IS Aries, this Moon might also be a signal that his time is passing.

Pat Robertson says that God told him George Bush would win in a landslide and that it doesn’t make any difference whether he does good or bad, God will bless him. I guess God just really really loves George W. Bush.

I am going to repeat my prediction here of GWB being in a dangerous situation this month and the month of February, again in August, September and October, and if elected will serve no more than 6 months and it has nothing to do with God.

Last year at this time I said there would be a lie told in January or February by this administration that would heat up in the summer for GWB. That lie turned out to be Weapons of Mass Destruction. There is another scandal brewing right now for this administration that pops open this spring or summer and by August Bush and the Republicans will be scrambling to contain it all.

Someone asked about Karl Rove for the New Year. Summer will see Rove with problems, and John Ashcroft has problems now. He should not have destroyed information regarding the Valerie Plame affair.

Mars square Saturn is cold and cruel along with frustrated action, Saturn, along with Pluto, aspects a colossal number of people in the GWB administration. I have had difficult Saturn and Pluto aspects (as we all have) and I wasn’t having fun. Were you?

I don’t know how but I do know that Pluto and Saturn will extract their pound of flesh from Bush and the United States, we cannot stop it but we can respond in a positive manner. Keep the faith, this country has survived worse times and equally as bad Presidents, we will survive this and have the opportunity to re-make this country.
