I get a very dark feeling from this chart. With the last degrees of Scorpio on the seventh house, and with its ruler Pluto, the god of the underworld and all that’s dark and hidden and scary inhabiting it, I am left with an impression of an enormous amount of skullduggery going on in Washington at the time of the Full Moon.

The two fixed stars Caput Algol and the Pleiades are dark stars. Caput Algol is considered the most malefic fixed star and the Pleiades have been associated with the theme of great grief and weeping. The other name for the Pleiades is the “weeping sisters”. Pluto conjunct the Sun and opposite the Moon is imparting its darkness into the very being of the luminaries, the Sun and the Moon, usually the brightest spots in a chart, any chart. This is falling across the first house/seventh house axis, the identity of self and the identity of the partner, the other. The seventh is the relationship house and as such it rules not just business partners and marriage partners but partners in the sense of one’s doppelganger. It is the designation of the dark half of ourselves, in a sense the evil half. Think of George Bush Senior’s evil twin Biff in the comic strip Donnesbury and you get the idea.

The twelfth house in this chart is ruled by Mars which is currently still in Pisces. Neptune is conjunct the tenth house. By conjuncting the tenth house of how others view us, Neptune is leading the way for the influence of the tenth house to be fogged over, at least in the eyes of many of the followers of George Bush.
Vesta, the asteroid concerned with home and security and the hearth, is in the seventh house but exactly conjunct the eighth. I fear the Bush administration will use the issues of home and security and terrorist threats to clamp down even harder on its’ nations citizens. Uranus is at the top of the chart and the most elevated planet, and it squares the rising sign, the ascendant. There is a stellium of planets in the seventh and eighth houses.

I think George Bush will be very busy, along with his advisors, doing everything he can to lock up the election for the coming year. He and his friends really have enormous power and they will not give it up easily. Bush’s natal charts’ ascendant at 7 degrees of Leo is directly aligned with the fourth house in the Full Moon chart at 7 degrees of Leo. You can expect to see George Bush wrap himself in the flag; he will be practically sunbathing in it for the next year. He and his advisors will attempt to portray George Bush, the USA and home and family and safety all as one and the same thing. He will do his best to unite his image to that of the nation itself .

Bush’s natal Uranus is at 19 degrees of Gemini and that places it in the Full Moon chart’s first house conjunct the Moon and directly opposite Pluto in the Full Moon seventh house. To me this further accents Bush’s attempt at image control and image enlargement at this time. It’s possible of course that there could be safety issues for him involved with his ascendant conjunct the fourth house Full Moon chart and his Uranus in his natal chart opposite Pluto, but I think the aspects in this chart comparison speak more of image, behind the scenes actions, dirty tricks and misleading the world and the American public than any other element that I can see. Time of course will tell.

I think all Full Moons are a time of increased emoting in our lives and in ourselves. This Moon is cerebral and philosophical in nature with its Gemini/Sagittarius link, but it is involved closely with Pluto. Pluto is the belly of the beast, the underworld, the dark side. I think the planning and manipulation and the behind the scenes machinations produced in this chart for Washington DC are not just about the Republicans but all the political players at this time.
In looking at the Full Moon chart in other localities around the world, in Sacramento, California the Full Moon takes effect at around 12:37 pm on Monday afternoon. That gives the chart Pisces rising and Mars conjunct the ascendant. The Moon is in the third house with the Sun and Pluto opposite in the ninth. It certainly seems as if there will be a strenuous drive to bring in foreign money and foreign investors to help California pay off its huge debt, and that there will be a lot of anger and possibly sadness in California at this time.

In London, England, the ascendant for the Full Moon chart is at 15 degrees of Leo, and that means the descendant is conjunct Neptune. Tony Blair’s natal Moon is conjunct both the descendant and Neptune, and this highlights the seventh house of this particular chart. How much he really knows about what is going on behind the scenes, how much he isn’t telling, how much he is deluding himself, is anybody’s guess. Scorpio and Taurus are intercepted, their energy having been given elsewhere. Is this not also true of Tony Blair? Has he not given his authority away in great part to others outside his own government and outside himself, to Bush and cronies for example?

Finally in Iraq, the Full Moon chart takes effect at 11:37 pm that evening, and the mutable signs hold court, with Virgo rising at 13 degrees and the Sun/Moon/Pluto configuration across the chart at the fourth and tenth house axis. Mars is in the seventh house. I fear that there will be much more bloodshed taking place in this war torn country and much loss of life on all sides and for all nationalities.

The themes I see then, for this Full Moon, are largely seventh and fourth house issues. Issues of home and family and safety and security. Defense of one’s county and one’s family and one’s self. The inherent paranoia surrounding enemies to that safety will be felt in every corner of the world that day. Gemini logic and Sagittarian vision are available to used by all this day, but how many will avail themselves of it, remains to be seen. I hope its more than is shown in the charts for this day, around the world.
