The longed for ships/come empty home or founder on the deep, /and eyes first lose their tears/ and then they lose their sleep. Edith Wharton
Losing is the price we pay for living. It is also the source of much of our growth and gain. Judith Viorsi
The end and the beginning of a thing look exactly alike, both are at the bottom. The difference is the beginning has nowhere to go but up. Sally Cheyne McDonald
“What happened, how could it have happened, why did it happen, and what will we do?”
The Democrats lost, that’s what happened. How it happened lies in the Mercury/Neptune square of Election Day. That square could mean, “dirty GOP tricks,” and there is some support for that concept. In Texas it was discovered the voting machines registered “Republican” when the voter hit “Democrat.” Two very alert election officials discovered this “little glitch”, how many “little glitches” were there in the US on election night, with out “alert” election officials to catch those “little glitches.” That’s something we will never know and it doesn’t really matter.
While pundits, pollsters, politicians and astrologers look for answers to the Democrats unexpected mid-term election devastation I believe it is time to look at the bigger picture of who we are and what we “the people” are accepting as our fate and perhaps to shed some light onto why. The “why’s” of life is always the question.
Why did the people allow women to be burned at the stake as witches? Why did the people let Napoleon go on so long? Why did Germany allow Hitler to flourish? Why slavery? Why persecution and abuse of native American Indians? And to the latest “why,” why would Americans willingly give away their rights as citizens, allow themselves to be financially stripped of their financial gains, agree to a war they don’t understand? Why do we not demand that assault weapons be eliminated from our streets when over 11,000 citizens were killed with them last year? Why?
We need to look at ourselves, we must look at ourselves if we are to survive and live out the highest ideals of this country. It’s time to stop trying to figure out why the Democrats were so obtuse and seemingly dense, time to stop blaming the poll, the pundits, the media, the prognosticators, even the machines. And it’s time to honestly pull apart the American illusion and see what is actually there and can it be improved.
Our leaders represent what arises out of our collective unconscious as a people. We did not try to stop an unconstitutional election of a president. We have not demanded there be an independent council to look into the tragedy of the World Trade Center, we have not demanded that this administration follow the Freedom of Information Act, we have not demanded a full and complete inquiry into the series of businesses who have committed fraud, destroying the financial lives of thousands and are still given huge tax breaks.
We, the people have not exercised our right to vote, not bothered to find out what is happening in our government. We have not asked questions and the majority of us have not paid any attention at all and we are not concerned with the loss of liberties and privacy, much less concerned with what is happening to our tax dollars or how this never ending war against the rest of the world will drain the US of any money for social programs. There are several hundred thousand protesting this war, even though the US now has the right to declare them terrorists and will soon do so, but even with several hundred thousand that is a drop in the bucket out of the millions who are citizens.
The people of the United States of America are at a crossroads and our leaders and their actions will tell us which way we will go, and it all hinges on the November 19th Lunar Eclipse, and what the Democrats do about the Homeland Security Bill.
To see the “end of the matter” for the Democrats we have only to look to Tuesday the 19th and what happens on the Eclipse at the Full Moon of 27 degrees Taurus/Scorpio. If there is a vote on the Homeland Security Bill, depending on how the Democrats vote they will be looking at the “end” or the “beginning” of their party. A vote for the Homeland Security Bill signals the end of the Democratic Party as we know it and it also seals the fate of the US for several decades to come. This Eclipse falls not far from transiting Uranus and squares the US Natal Moon representing “the people.” It will also fall across the Democratic Party’s Mercury and square their Moon.
A vote for the Homeland Security Bill should send a signal to the American people that “we the people” must find new representation in Congress. There will be new leaders arising from a grassroots impetus. Nancy Pelosi might be the omen of what that new leadership will consist; she could be called upon to re-build upon the ruins, as this eclipse conjuncts her Mars. And Ms. Pelosi Mars rules her Sun in Aries and sub-rules her Moon in Scorpio, she will have the fight and the energy to rebuild.
What might be coming as a new party and viable party and how soon?
Later this week I will continue the trace the roots of the US and what kind of party we can expect to put our energy behind to hopefully restore the freedom and liberties we say we value and believe in and have given away in a cavalier manner.
The vote is in at 8:02 Washington, DC time, 90 votes FOR Homeland Security and 9 against. Say goodbye to the old and mark this as a new day and new revolution in the United States of America. Take heart, eventually there will be a true republic.
