THE BOWLING PINS ARE SET UP

A news reporter from the NY Times in discussing the Foley Scandal, was almost giggling when he said "the guy is a hypocrite and if you can't enjoy watching the fall of a hypocrite you just aren't getting the most zest out of life that you could."

That comment struck me hilariously funny because it's true, so true and hypocrisy is on display in Washington this week. I feel kind of sorry for them because they keep coming with more excuses and they don't know how utterly stupid they sound and how little credibility they have. Believe me the scrambling behind the scenes to cover their tracks on the Foley scandal and other scandals positioned on the brink of pushing the GOP off the cliff for a very long time.

On November 17, 1800 at 9:00am in Washington, DC, the United States Congress had their very first setting in the brand new Nation's Capital. That august body of senators and representatives stood together and pledged their loyality to the Constitution and to the people of The United States of America.

The Sun was in Scorpio and it squared Saturn in Leo, repeating the Sun/Saturn square of the 1776 Declaration of Independence. With their very own Sun/Saturn square, they would be the parent of the presidential parent and together they would parent the country. They would make the laws, they would oversee the office of the President, giving permission (or not) when asked. On that November day in 1800 they had lofty ideals, maybe integrity (maybe not) but believed they did and above all they took themselves very very seriously and would demand respect.

The Nov. 17 chart also had another similar aspect to the July 4, 1776 energies. They had a Mars/Neptune opposition picking up the flavor of the Mars/Neptune square in the US chart. True this aspect can promote high ideals, it will also encourage justification for any and all actions as well as a tendency to periodically completely draining the treasury without having to be responsible or pay for that little bit of theft. Sweet.

Against that background let me assure you that the scandals will just keep on comin for Congress this month, in fact for several months. These poor people are experience about their 7th Saturn Return and that is "test" time. Have you done what you said you would do and held your positions with honor. Whoops, that's gonna be a hard test to pass. Just to make sure Congress comes clean (the stars cannot trust them on their own) their progressed Mercury (the planet of communication) has passed to 29 degrees Sagittarius. Oh dear, that Mercury was in an exact square to our recent Solar Eclipse of September 22.

So many of the Washington "players" are having mean ole Saturn transits to their Suns, Mercurys, Mars Saturn squares and returns all over the place. And if that isn't enough, Jupiter just went through a conjunction to their natal Neptune and Neptune is squaring. That is the Bubble that Burst aspect, and we don't want to forget that Saturn was also impacting the same degree.

This is the WHOLE Congress undergoing the spotlight, including the Democrats so the scandals will fall on everyone.

Just briefly the names on the list will be:

Hillary Clinton
Bill Clinton
Dennis Hastert
Condi Rice
Joe Lieberman
George Allen
George Bush
Kissinger
Gingrich
maybe Arnold Schwarzenegger
Boehner
Blackwell

That's just for starters as Saturn/Neptune and Pluto fling horse puckey in their paths.

The election day Mercury and Uranus retrograde, as well as the Sun, Mercury Venus square to Neptune has given me concern as to the outcome of the elections. Those aspects throw fog, lies, theft and confusion everywhere on that day, but they are universal aspects and they could create havoc for the GOP as well as the Democrats, just depending on where the majority of the horse puckie falls. Looking at the charts of both their parties I don't think anyone will come out unscathed.

Let's just say that the cosmic gods have set up the bowling alley, the pins are in place and if you listen very carefully you will hear the gong and the cry "let's bowl."

Good article Sally. A pox on both houses and
the Executive Branch as well. Not a one of them
have taken their oath to uphold the Constitution.
They have given their right to declare war away.
They have give the right to impeach away. They
are no better than a bunch of bloody Nazis walking
in lockstep to the Chimp and Cheney. It is time
for NESARA. In my mind the Election is already
fixed, October surprise or not...and they will
get away with it for the fourth time and nothing
will be done about it. Their arrogance is only
exceeded by their total lack of shame. But who gives a damn!

Congress to Bush: Here are the Tools to Dictatorship, Go and Enjoy

I have been reeling but unable to write about the detainee law, passed by our Republican Senators (except for Chafee of Rhode Island) and Republican Congress people and by 12 Democrats.

These.... people... crazy people... very, very scared people?... voted to dump the Magna Carta protections of being able to confront your accuser, and said it's okay to lock up "suspected terrorists" FOR LIFE without trial or anyway of protestng their innocence, you know sort of like in The Man in the Iron Mask.

I mean, they're SUSPECTED, we don't know they were picked up and identified correctly. We've already heard about the innocent Canadian man, picked up at an airport, sent off to Syria where he was tortured, and then years later was returned to Canada, without so much as a "thank you for your time, sorry to have bothered you."

Read this blog by H. Constance Gorman, a lawyer who is donating her time to represent a detainee at Guantanamo.

She has been representing a man "swept up" in Afghanistan and falsely accused by "bounty hunters" who were paid by the US for pointing out terrorists -- now that's an idea that has no chance of getting false i.d.'s, doesn't it? Pay informants in a scary country, for sure there won't be any mistakes made, will there?

Washington Times Editorial

Resign, Mr. Speaker

TODAY'S EDITORIAL
October 3, 2006

The facts of the disgrace of Mark Foley, who was a Republican member of the House from a Florida district until he resigned last week, constitute a disgrace for every Republican member of Congress. Red flags emerged in late 2005, perhaps even earlier, in suggestive and wholly inappropriate e-mail messages to underage congressional pages. His aberrant, predatory -- and possibly criminal -- behavior was an open secret among the pages who were his prey. The evidence was strong enough long enough ago that the speaker should have relieved Mr. Foley of his committee responsibilities contingent on a full investigation to learn what had taken place, whether any laws had been violated and what action, up to and including prosecution, were warranted by the facts. This never happened.
Rep. John Shimkus of Illinois, the Republican chairman of the House Page Board, said he learned about the Foley e-mail messages "in late 2005." Rep. John Boehner of Ohio, the leader of the Republican majority, said he was informed of the e-mail messages earlier this year. On Friday, Mr. Hastert dissembled, to put it charitably, before conceding that he, too, learned about the e-mail messages sometime earlier this year. Late yesterday afternoon, Mr. Hastert insisted that he learned of the most flagrant instant-message exchange from 2003 only last Friday, when it was reported by ABC News. This is irrelevant.

Op-Ed Columnist

Your Page, M’Lord

By JOHN TIERNEY
Suppose Nike’s founder, Phil Knight, asked taxpayers to subsidize a program for 16-year-olds to leave their homes to become “squires” running errands at Nike headquarters. Or suppose, before his death, Sam Walton had asked Congress to build a dormitory in Arkansas to house teenage “serfs” spending a semester away from their schools to work on a Wal-Mart loading dock.

These executives would become national jokes. They’d be denounced for trying to revive 19th-century child-labor practices and 12th-century feudalism. There would be no public money appropriated for Knight’s Squires or Sam’s Serfs.

Yet Congress sees nothing strange about dragging teenagers from their families and schools to become pages, one step below a squire in the feudal food chain. They’re not being forced to wear Prince Valiant haircuts, but they have to do scut work that’s probably even less useful than what they could learn at Nike or Wal-Mart.

Trading Votes for Pork Across the House Aisle

By DAVID D. KIRKPATRICK

WASHINGTON, Oct. 1 — For more than a decade, Representative John P. Murtha of Pennsylvania has operated a political trading post in a back corner of the House of Representatives.

A gang of about two dozen Democrats mill around his seat. A procession of others walk back to request pet spending projects, known as earmarks. And Republicans come by, asking him to enlist some of those Democrats to join them on close votes. “Whether they get what they want in the bill or they get the votes they are looking for, nobody ever leaves completely disappointed,” said Representative Paul E. Kanjorski, a Pennsylvania Democrat often found in what is known as the Murtha corner.

from wv's link to the Washington Times article, it says:

"Rep. Hastert dissembled, to put it charitably, before conceding that he, too, learned about the e-mail messages sometime earlier this year."

If Foley was 'semi-outed' as an obvious pedophile and no one did a thing to curb him shouldn't we suspect those people of covering up for more than just political reasons? I now have my suspicions of Rep. John Shimkus who, like pedophiles who infiltrate youth groups in some form of leadership and mentoring position, did nothing. And Rep. John Boehner who should have done something as the leader of the Republican Majority did nothing. And Hastert did nothing.

This kind of silence isn't normal for people who aren't pedophiles, or who are in some way closeted practitioners of something they feel they must hide from the public themselves.

Pedophiles also find each other as has been proven many times - especially online, and they form groups of like minded and 'similar interest' friends.

Based on this strange reactions of so-called normal heterosexual men I think there's much more than just politics here.

Cap'n Sally, if only all the lies are brought out and widely displayed! A few days ago, we somehow were discussing hanging clothes out to dry (for me a childhood memory, though others live in areas where even today you can do that). I do hope all the lies, cover-ups, etc., will be displayed and hung out for the cleansing light of brilliant sunshine.

At the same time, I just stumbled across this scary article. Have your salt-shaker handy on this one:

Cap'n Sally, in addition to your succinct analysis of the possible impact on Congress of current transits, is there indication of what might be in store in terms of Iran?

Challenges to sanity never stop coming these days, do they?

Thanks so much for all you do, Cap'n Sally!

Iran (Feb. 1, 1979, 9:00am Teheran) Nothing is written in stone here Shy, but I always thought it would be 2007 or near 2007 before the US attacked Iran and Iran enters a very dangerous period between Oct. 11, 2006 through to Jan. 7 2007. I think Iran will prove to be much stronger than anticipated. I hope they are weighing all those possibilities. The US timing is off, and will be for as long as the US progressed Mars is Retrograde. If we go to war or attack Iran we will lose. Nearly everyone alive today will have aged and turned into ashes and dust before the US wins another war. We will absolutely be forced in a couple of generations to learn how to live in peace. Look at Germany because we will have to take a page from their book.

Lieberman says he has been promised seniority

By Alexander Bolton

Sen. Joe Lieberman, the longtime Democratic senator from Connecticut running for re-election as an independent, says the party leadership has assured him he would keep his seniority if he returns to Congress.

Local Democrats are responding with irritation, political opponents voice disbelief, and Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) denies making a decision.

But the strongest response is likely to come from Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J.) who views Lieberman’s independent status as an opportunity to press Democratic leaders to restore seniority he lost four years ago.

If Lautenberg retrieves seniority accrued during 18 years of Senate service before retiring in 2000, he could leapfrog Lieberman to lead the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee or the Environment and Public Works Committee.

Total Republican Collapse Imminent

by Chris Bowers, Mon Oct 02, 2006 at 08:21:50 PM EST

The last ten days have been amazing. Starting with Bill Clinton fighting back against Faux News, we have now seen:
The National Intelligence Estimate declare that the war in Iraq in increasing terrorism worldwide
Colin Powell say he was fired
Rice is on the verge of having to resign.
Bill Frist say that the Taliban should rule Afghanistan
The White House met with Jack Abramoff 485 times, and had a huge amount of influence. .
Bob Woodward comes out with a book saying the Bush administration is lying about Iraq.
Droves of Republicans are under investigation for something.

Media on Foley: Bloggers vs. Old Media

So amid this story about how various mainstream media outlets (among them the St. Petersburg Times, the Miami Herald, and NBC’s Brian Ross) were alerted to the Foley situation months ago and chose not to run with it, is the source of what eventually prodded the capital P Press to pick up the story: Stopsexpredators.blogspot.com.

Despite three days of full-court press coverage, this website is still something of a mystery (though one that may be solved by the time I wake up tomorrow). It began in July, and has had just a handful of posts, most of them Foley related.

Conservative bloggers like Americanthinker wonder, as do I, what/who is behind SSP—or more to the point, how it/they managed to push this story out. Notes Tom Maquire at Justoneminute

Full Moon in Aries

13º 43'

After the intensity of two cycles of New Moon in Virgo, it is time to lighten up and celebrate the cheerier, Arien side of life. Fun and adventure are good overall themes for any ritual celebration on the Full Moon in Aries. Aires is the first sign of the zodiac and rules new beginnings. The Aries Full Moon is the best Full Moon to put some concrete action behind a desire to begin anew! So if you spent these last two Virgo cycles looking deeply at your inner motivations and/or your unhealthy lifestyle choices, and have decided to make some adjustments, this is the best Full Moon to take a leap of faith and release your desire for a new beginning to the universe.

The Bowling Pins Are Set Up seems to apply to more than the rethug implosion, it could also apply to what's brewing in Iran (thanks, Shy!). The two seem twined by behind-the-scene machinations. Why do i feel this way? I'm trying to explain it even to myself. It's as if a force is compelling events, but who or why?

Depleted Uranium – Far Worse Than 9/11
Depleted Uranium Dust – Public Health Disaster For The People Of Iraq and Afghanistan
by Doug Westerman
In 1979, depleted uranium (DU) particles escaped from the National Lead Industries factory near Albany, N.Y.,which was manufacturing DU weapons for the U.S military. The particles traveled 26 miles and were discovered in a laboratory filter by Dr. Leonard Dietz, a nuclear physicist. This discovery led to a shut down of the factory in 1980, for releasing morethan 0.85 pounds of DU dust into the atmosphere every month, and involved a cleanup of contaminated properties costing over 100 million dollars.

Imagine a far worse scenario. Terrorists acquire a million pounds of the deadly dust and scatter it in populated areas throughout the U.S. Hundreds of children report symptoms. Many acquire cancer and leukemia, suffering an early and painful death. Huge increases in severe birth defects are reported. Oncologists are overwhelmed. Soccer fields, sand lots and parks, traditional play areas for kids, are no longer safe. People lose their most basic freedom, the ability to go outside and safely breathe. Sounds worse than 9/11? Welcome to Iraq and Afghanistan.

Dr. Jawad Al-Ali (55), director of the Oncology Center at the largest hospital in Basra, Iraq stated, at a recent (2003) conference in Japan:

“Two strange phenomena have come about in Basra which I have never seen before. The first is double and triple cancers in one patient. For example, leukemia and cancer of the stomach. We had one patient with 2 cancers – one in his stomach and kidney. Months later, primary cancer was developing in his other kidney--he had three different cancer types. The second is the clustering of cancer in families. We have 58 families here with more than one person affected by cancer. Dr Yasin, a general Surgeon here has two uncles, a sister and cousin affected with cancer. Dr Mazen, another specialist, has six family members suffering from cancer. My wife has nine members of her family with cancer”.

Here's a thot. Olies/pluties have long set-up rt-wing dems to be the new take-over... that they plan to destroy the republic party as the master scapegoat. Their plans advance under the dem party that seems to be the friendlier kinder & more compassionate face for their world govt. Perhaps that's why DLC dems have been mostly silent. Then eventually, they'll go back the other way & do the same thing all over again. Course, each major change brings with it the possibility for break-thrus of true advancement... perhaps pluties are calculating that inevitability as well.

Posted by: JoannaOregon on October 3, 2006 06:00 PM

Joanna, i'm sure that this is happening. There's ample evidence to back your statement. I keep coming back to square one/peg one on why. It seems illogical to me to bankrupt/destroy/poison/marginalize the worlds' peoples. Yet this is well on the way to being accomplished. What could possibly be the purpose in this? Unless, it's some ancient feud that keeps reenergizing itself every millenia or so.

In the meantime, i just keep smiling, hugging, laughing, farming, making bread, canning food, crying daily, but laughing in equal measure.

Bush and Co. Incompetent? Not Really
by Arthur Cannon

The Bush administration and its supporters are widely perceived as incompetent.

Actually, they are very competent. But that competence is limited to furthering their own secret agenda, an agenda that seldom coincides with the national interest and is most often at odds with it. What's more, like the legendary crazy fox, they actively encourage the misperception of incompetence; it gives them cover for what they're really up to.

Could an "incompetent" administration have gotten itself in power twice, enabled the election of a rubber-stamp Congress and increased its margin of power three times (so far)? Start two major wars, one with lies and waged contrary to expert military recommendations? Engineer passage of massive tax cuts — during wartime — and other welfare for the rich programs? Get other controversial legislation passed, like a Medicare drug bill written by and for the pharmaceutical and insurance industries, the Patriot Act, and Orwellian-titled laws like the Clear Skies Act that achieve the opposite effect? Gut provisions of environmental and other basic protection laws by placing industry leaders to head the regulatory agencies? Perpetuate their policies by getting far-right Supreme Court justices and lower federal court judges confirmed?

It will be very hard to hi-jack votes when the candidate is despised by its own constituents. ;O)

* After Foley, New Fears For the GOP - Some Say Party Could Lose House & Senate

[Torture n' Pedophilic republic] strategists said yesterday that public revulsion over the sexually graphic online conversations between Rep Mark Foley (R-FL) & former House pages could compound the party's problems enough to tip the House to the Dems in Nov--& could jeopardize the party's hold on the Senate as well.

As House GOP leaders defended their role in handling revelations that forced Foley on Fri to give up his House seat, party strategists said the scandal threatens to depress turnout among xian cons & could hamper efforts to convince undecided & swing voters that [necroporns] deserve to remain in the majority. ...

[necroporn] operatives closely following the battle for the House/Senate said that they are virtually ready to concede nearly a 3rd of the 15 seats the Dems need to recapture control of the House, & that they will spend the next 5 wks trying to shelter other vulnerable incumbents from the fallout of the Foley scandal in hopes of salvaging a slender majority. Dists in which [necroporns] have effectively walked off the field incl Foley's own in S Florida. House Maj Leader John A Boehner (R-Ohio) said in a radio interview with con commentator Sean Hannity that the party's replacement candidate is all but doomed. Because of ballot procedures in FL, "to vote for this candidate, you have to vote for Mark Foley," Boehner said. "How many people are going to hold their nose to do that?" ...

...Foley's sudden resignation came at the end of a week that had delivered a series of blows to [necroporn] hopes in Nov. A Natl Intelligence Est asserted that the war in Iraq is fueling new threats from Islamic jihadists faster than the US & allies can contain them, then a new book by Bob Woodward of The WaPo said [regime]'s private assessments of Iraq are far worse than officials are telling the public. Taken together, GOP strategists said, the events of the past 10 days reversed what some [necros] had seen as a modest rebound in Sept after the worst days of the summer. By yesterday, a number of GOP strategists reported widespread gloom about the party's prospects, combined with intense anger at the House leadership. ...

... David Bossie, who runs a group called Citizens United, called yesterday for Hastert's resignation & said other con leaders are likely to follow suit. Bossie said the initial e-mails alone, which incl Foley's request of a minor's picture, s/h prompted an immediate inquiry. "That was a cry for an investigation," Bossie said. "Why cldn't the speaker of the House muster the will to stop this?"

Leaders from about 6 doz socially con grps held a conf call late yesterday afternoon, & participants were described as livid with House GOP leaders. "They are outraged by how Hastert handled this," said [mega-con] Paul M Weyrich, a con activist who participated in the call. "They feel let down, left aside. How can they allow a guy like [Foley] to remain chairman of the committee on missing & exploited children when there is any question about e-mails?" ...

... [necroporn]s say they are in grave danger of losing the seat of former House maj leader Tom DeLay (TX), awa those held by Rep Robt W Ney (OH)--who agreed to plead guilty to corruption charges in the investigation into the activities of convicted former lobbyist Jack Abramoff--& Rep Don Sherwood (PA), who has been embroiled in a scandal over an affair. In addition, [porno]s have largely given up on holding the seat of retiring Rep Jim Kolbe (AZ), & strategists are pessimistic about retaining open seats in CO & IA & the seat now held by Rep John N Hostettler (IN).

Some [porno]s also said Rep Thos M Reynolds (NY), the NRCC's chairman & one of the GOP leaders who knew about a non-graphic communication between Foley & a former page, could face an even tougher challenge for his Buffalo area seat. Reynolds & Hastert sniped at each other over the w/e about who knew what & when. ... http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/10/02/AR2006100201463_pf.html

* Hastert [haughtily with piggy snort] dismisses call for resignation

House Speaker D Hastert brushed aside any suggestion of resigning Tue as [rezaUndeterminateGender] expressed confidence in Hastert's ability to deal with an election-year scandal that has shaken the [necroporn] Party. ... Speaking at a Stockton CA elementary school, [bushaPredator] said he was "disgusted" by the revelations that Rep Mark Foley (R-FL) had sent sexually explicit e-mails to a former House page. "Families have every right to expect that when they send their children to be a congressional page in Wash, that those children will be safe," [bushaNutz] said. ...

... Boehner noted that his daughter had been a Senate page several years ago, & said of Foley, "If I'd known anything about the context of all this when it occurred, I'd have drug him out of there by his shirt sleeves." ... http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061003/ap_on_go_co/congress_pages;_ylt=Ake5iVwNbmJ.hlHyE7PaUYyyFz4D;_ylu=X3oDMTA2Z2szazkxBHNlYwN0bQ?

bushaholic says it's terrible, just terrible, BUT... I'm gonna keep the bloated pink pig. ;O) Those pages are all kiddos of necroporns that get all excited when it comes to their OWN kids. Other peoples' kids, it'd be okay. Anyway, interesting that foley thot he could prey on necroporn kids... its way of crying "HELP!?!?!?"... oh, & escaping for a bit. Then a ck'in to rehab. Hasn't done a thing for multi-rehaber, druggie limbaugh; however, it takes the desire to get clean n' sober. They can't stand particularly the "clean" part... "clean" means cultivating humility/honesty... character traits they despise apparently.

Canny Comment from a poster, another site...

* ABC was the network that aired "The Path to 9/11." ABC was the netword that blew the lid off the Foley situation, which has been going on for years. The Foley situation has taken all attn away from Bob Woodward's book, which exposes to the masses the gross criminal negligence of the [rez regime] leading up to 9/11, bush's delusional handling of Iraq, among other things.

We know Republicans will sacrifice their own if it means protecting bush & cheney. What bush & cheney & rice have done is FAR worse than what Foley did, but Foley is what the media have convinced us we need to pay attn to.

Um, hello?

The Woodward War

Another book, another political blow. How the Bush team is handling the rain of bad news on Iraq, and what it means for Secretary Rumsfeld's future.

Clip

The Rumsfeld portrayed by Woodward is bullying and petty. Bush himself doesn't come off much better. The president is folksy and jocular, but incurious to the point of cluelessness. His war cabinet is deeply dysfunctional. Condoleezza Rice is almost a pathetic figure, whining to the president that she can't get Rumsfeld to return her calls.

As you read the excerpt that follows, keep in mind some essential context. The administration was not just unlucky. It was almost willfully blind to the risks entailed in invading and occupying a large, traumatized and deeply riven Arab country. Rumsfeld, who pushed aside Rice and Secretary of State Colin Powell to take over even the planning for postwar Iraq, wanted a lean and mean force to get in and get out quickly. This was all well and good as long as American forces could turn over the job of running the country to an effective group of local Iraqis. But the planning for this was hamstrung by disputes over the postwar role of Iraqi exiles. When Iraq began to unravel, the administration—with little debate—lurched in the other direction. The White House installed Paul Bremer as a kind of grand pooh-bah over all of Iraq, but Rumsfeld refused to give him the forces he needed for a long occupation.

Rumsfeld, Ashcroft Warned of al-Qaeda Attack Before 9/11
http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/100306A.shtml
Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld and former attorney general John Ashcroft received the same CIA briefing about an imminent al-Qaeda strike on an American target that was given to the White House two months before the attacks of September 11, 2001.

Cheney's Statements on Justification of War Must Be Challenged
http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/100306B.shtml
In a letter to Congress, signatories write: "Vice President Dick Cheney stated with little ambiguity that we would have invaded Iraq in 2003 even if we knew that Saddam did not have weapons of mass destruction. This statement by our nation's vice president repudiates the legal and moral principle of non-aggression that has been accepted by the international community and has won the United States international trust and respect. This repudiation must not go unnoticed or unchallenged by Congress and the American people."

Mark A. LeVine | The Death of the First American Republic
http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/100306C.shtml
"Bush has signed into a law a bill that guts the right of habeas corpus, legalizes the use of secret and coerced evidence, 'clarifies' the Geneva Conventions to allow torture on his command, prevents future war crimes prosecutions, and arrogates to himself the right to declare anyone - including American citizens - enemy combatants, who can be dragged from their families, thrown in any prison he chooses, anywhere on earth, for however long he chooses," writes Mark A. LeVine.

You know?! Just once I'd like to see some "prophecies" that say something besides the "white" boyz' will come along to destroy everything & all will be death/disaster (which has been kind of true) & say: "Peoples all over the world will live in peace & joy, gentleness & prosperity, wisdom & heart-felt love, flora & fauna will flourish, air & water will sparkle & be clean... pink supremacist boyz will become pullers of carts, beaters of rugs, cleaners of crappers, sweepers of streets, & tenders of gardens whereupon they will learn clean n' sober & their oneness with all life." ;O)

And wouldn't it be fun if you could open a chinese cookie & it'd say something like: "Go be your own life!" or "Take your own moral inventory!" or "Try kindess... you'll like it!" or "Be good to your mother!" or "Be good to your children!" or "Carry your own weight!" or "Give prunes a chance!"

I just think that the Indian "prophesies" were written with more than a little help from the conquering priests of pink gods... we know how they like to rewrite history to suit theyselves.

Yea... Merry B'day to libras! Thank you, dear judi! The solar return chart looks good n' interesting from my PoV... may everyone else's be same (tho it probably shld be read within the context of an environment of pink boyz govt criminality... not so good).

The October Surprise

By Gary Hart

For a divinely guided president who imagines himself to be a latter day Winston Churchill (albeit lacking the ability to formulate intelligent sentences), and who professedly does not care about public opinion at home or abroad, anything is possible, and dwindling days in power may be seen as making the most apocalyptic actions necessary.

Once upon a time the House of Representatives was known as "the people's house." No more. It belongs to K Street now. That's the address of the lobbyists who swarm all over Capitol Hill. There are 65 lobbyists for every member of Congress. They spend $200 million per month wining, dining and seducing federal officials. Per month!

America the Tyranny

The Road to Authoritarianism

By Manuel Valenzuela

The red, white and blue, sadly enough, has become the symbol of what we most hate, of what we swore to never become. It has become a flag hijacked by tyrants, with the American People unconcerned and unwilling, to the point of embarrassment, to free it from its dungeon, with most too lazy or apathetic to care, most too ignorant to know.

Auschwitz Photo Series | Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2006

Photo Above: Mug shots of Auschwitz Concentration Camp victims Hlawica Zdenka & Holan Adalberta, in Oswiecim, Poland, surrounded by 100s of others. Documentary photos that will be presented this week were all taken by Eric Francis, on Tue, Sept 27, 2006.

WHILE I WAS visiting Poland last week, I went to pay my respects at Auschwitz. I actually didn't plan to go, & I didn't really want to go, but I've also had a lifelong commitment to do so, & this was my chance.

Avoiding the place was why I planned a trip to Warsaw for a week--halfway across the country, far away. But everyone I talked to said that Krakow was the more beautiful city, not bombed so badly during the war, still intact with all its old character, & that I must see it. So I went to Krakow, 70km from Auschwitz, not sure what I would do when the time came to decide if I wanted to make the rest of the trip. ... http://ericfrancis.com/

Wednesday, October 4, 2006 | Moon enters Pisces. Mars trines Neptune. Jupiter trines Pelion, and Mercury squares Nessus.

"Done correctly, the art of running society and getting along with other countries requires contemplation of facts and necessities, and a sense of fairness, plus reasoning, compromise and negotiation -- difficult enough under the best circumstances. Mix that with religion and the ends start to justify the means very quickly. Delusions take over fast. Suddenly God is on everyone's side, and few people are left on mankind's side. The purported approach of the Apocalypse -- glue being sniffed by a variety of factions right now -- becomes the rationale for policies that make destruction of the planet and the breakdown of its delicate order come even faster. The whole business has a drug-like feeling and when the anesthesia or drunken binge wears off, the pain sets in. Some people may find that the world did not end like they expected; rather, their children have inherited a place in tatters."

Latin America Declares Independence
by Noam Chomsky

Five centuries after the European conquests, Latin America is reasserting its independence.

In the southern cone especially, from Venezuela to Argentina, the region is rising to overthrow the legacy of external domination of the past centuries and the cruel and destructive social forms that they have helped to establish.

The mechanisms of imperial control - violence and economic warfare, hardly a distant memory in Latin America - are losing their effectiveness, a sign of the shift toward independence. Washington is now compelled to tolerate governments that in the past would have drawn intervention or reprisal.

This is an eye-opening, consciousness expanding comment from the link above (Latin America Daclares Independence)

"It is instructive to compare recent presidential elections in the richest country of the world and the poorest country in South America.

In the 2004 U.S. presidential election, voters had a choice between two men born to wealth and privilege, who attended the same elite university, joined the same secret society where young men are trained to join the ruling class and were able to run in the election because they were supported by pretty much the same conglomerations of private power. Their programs were similar, consistent with the needs of their primary constituency: wealth and privilege.

For contrast, consider Bolivia and Evo Morales' election last December. Voters were familiar with the issues, very real and important ones like national control over natural gas and other resources, which has overwhelming popular support. Indigenous rights, women's rights, land rights and water rights were on the political agenda, among many others. The population chose someone from its own ranks, not a representative of narrow sectors of privilege."

It's too busy at work for me to write or even lurk sometimes. But I wanted to pipe in and say that I feel the cognizant dissonence (sp?) more polarized than ever before. I listen alot less to news, even AAR at times for it affects me like it never did before. I feel sensitive to lies, can vibrate them as they suck up my joy. When I ask myself questions during meditation I find the vision answers I receive unfold the truth of situations over time. Luckily, my studio life is all consuming so it's keeping me 'off the streets and out of trouble'. But it's definitely gotten weirder out there and the news on tv reflects it.

Anyone feeling this?

Hastert, Cheney, Bush and Boehner Go Easy on Pedophiles and An Adulterer Accused of Beating His Mistress, Half His Age

Submitted by BuzzFlash on Tue, 10/03/2006 - 8:51am. Editorials
A BUZZFLASH NEWS ANALYSIS

You would think that with the GOP betrayal of our youth still red hot in the news, the Republican leadership wouldn’t be raising money for a Congressman who last year was outed for allegedly trying to strangle his mistress.

But you would be wrong.

Pennsylvania Republican Don Sherwood is 64, married and the father of three daughters.

But last year, Cynthia Ore, 29, sued Sherwood. It seems Sherwood had been keeping her as his Washington mistress. Ms. Ore says that Sherwood "repeatedly struck her in the face, neck, chest and back, ‘violently yanking’ her hair and repeatedly tried to choke or strangle her. Afterward he would tell her he would never beat her again, then beg her not to leave him."

"After news accounts of the incident and police report were published, Mr. Sherwood issued a statement apologizing for the ‘pain and embarrassment’ he caused his supporters and family. He has declined to talk in detail about his relationship with Ms. Ore."

INCREDIBLE! FOX 'NEWS' LABELS FOLEY AS DEM DURING O'REILLY FACTOR!

Three Different Video Cutaways, 15 Seconds or More Each, Credit Disgraced REPUBLICAN Congressman as Being a Florida DEMOCRAT!
UPDATED: NOW WITH VIDEO! LATER UPDATE: 'Erroneous' Caption Scrubbed from Late-night O'Reilly Rebroadcasts Without Explanation!
Just amazing. Fox's O'Reilly Factor just covered the Mark Foley (R-FL) issue in two different segments, one of them with a page who says he received communications from Foley, and another with Ann Coulter.

Never mind the content of either segment for now. Incredibly, during a total of three different cutaways to video footage of Foley, he was labelled at the bottom of the screen eachtime as "(D-FL)" !

Three different times. In two different segements. Each cutaway about 15 seconds or more. Showing Foley as a DEMOCRAT. Amazing.

Just an accident? We report, you decide.

UPDATE: Here's quick video clips two of the three times that Foley became made an honorary Fox "Dem"…

– CLIP 1: Windows Media Player version…
– CLIP 2 (Coulter): Windows Media Player version…

UPDATE 11:30pm PT: Though we didn't see the first evening rerun, several folks have reported that Fox "News" scrubbed the "error" by running the video during the late-night rerun of O'Reilly with no text on the bottom of the screen during those sequences. Also, please note we originally had the date of 6/3/06 on the screenshot above, instead of the correct 10/3/06. Once we noticed, we had so many folks linking up to this item, we couldn't get back in to the site at all to make the correction until now!

UPDATE 10/4/06 2:04am PT: Confirmed! We just watched the second late-night rerun of O'Reilly, and indeed, the evidence goes down the memory hole as Fox removed the mis-labelled chiron entirely from their later broadcasts without explanation! BTW, we watched both full segments this time, including the one with Florida's own alleged Queen of Voter Fraud, Ann Coulter who swears up and down that Hastert just couldn't have known anything about Foley's problem, he just couldn't have!

Screenshot from the rebroadcast, where the "(D-FL)" has been excised from all three video cutaways, is below…

UPDATE 10/4/06 2:13am PT: Heheh…Bob Johnson over at dKos, may have the explanation for what happened at Fox today…

Reynolds aide tried to block Foley story

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Congressman Wasn't Told Promised network exclusive on lawmaker's resignation

By JERRY ZREMSKI
NEWS NATIONAL CORRESPONDENT
10/4/2006

File photo
Former Rep. Mark Foley previously was Reynolds' chief of staff's boss.

WASHINGTON A top aide to Rep. Thomas M. Reynolds last week approached ABC News to try to get its investigative unit to withhold sexually explicit instant messages that now-disgraced Rep. Mark Foley sent to teenage boys who worked as pages in the House.
Kirk Fordham, Reynolds' chief of staff, acknowledged in an interview Tuesday that he approached ABC News investigative reporter Brian Ross last Friday with an offer: Ross would get the exclusive story on Foley's resignation from Congress in exchange for withholding those salacious instant messages.

Fordham said he never discussed the offer with Reynolds. Instead, Fordham said he acted in an effort to shield Foley's family, especially his elderly parents, from the lurid contents of the instant messages.

Fordham retired/was fired today.

Bhakti, yes...feeling that way in a big way. Sometimes I'm feeling intense energy waves that make me wonder where I am for a second or two. Also, seeing auras, knowing things before they happen, seeing more spirits roaming around, and smelling all kinds of fragrences out of nowhere. Sometimes they are sweet and flowery, a couple of times very foul. Sulfer foul and another scent I have never experienced.

The really big thing is a hummingbird practically lives in my yard now and will fly right up to my face, check me out then back to it's routine.

I think the human race as a whole are going through some really strange biological and psychological changes due to a number of things happening to our earth. The One Earth Mama is very ill and is trying to shake off the disease.

Here's something to think about....The earth is a living organism and just as we have aura's, the earth does as well.

Big Mama is sick and all humans are feeling it in some sort of way.

Happy Birthday Joanna, Teresa and all other loving, lovable Libras on this board (my dad's BD was 10/9).

A theme that I've been noticing lately in my microcosom is people leaving this plan. I have been notified of 3 passing overs in the past 2 days with one more person on the way out (he's being given morphine and has been doing a lot of talking and laughing I hear - he's a Libra of course.)

That myspace page was indescribable, Shy. It's a perfect Libra peace/piece. I'm going to send it to everyone.

Teresa, you asked about absentee voting; I've been on permanent absentee voting for about 5 years. You get your ballot in the mail, mark it carefully at home, seal it in a special envelope with special instructions, and then mail it back to the county clerk.

The thing you want to find out from your county is how absentees are counted; here in San Mateo County (CA), absentee votes are counted using the "Eagle" ballot counting machine, which is basically the same kind of thing used for grading those tests where you mark one of 4 little boxes. I worked with the Eagles as a poll worker and consider them reliable and secure - and I'm as paranoid as they come when it comes to election methods.

I've just done the training on the new e-voting we are moving to this election. As a confirmed skeptic, I was the one in the class asking every question about security, confidentiality, reliability, backups, paper trail, etc. Every one of my questiosn was answered to my satisfaction - but of course, we are required to have a paper trail in CA. The machines are called E-Slate, and you have to accept a printed paper version of the ballot before your vote is officially cast. When I asked about recounts, I was told that all recounts would be done from the paper ballot rather than rely on any of the four electronic repositories of vote tallies. Thank goddess we aren't on Diebold!

And, as another of the Libras on the board (though primarily a lurker), many thanks for the happy wishes! Mine's next Tuesday.

We the people of the United States have a unique opportunity. We can show each other and the world that what the Bush administration claims is their mission is not ours. Speaking of karma, even if we weren't, a very old friend of mine (who used to be an R but now because of chimp is a D) called me today and said that her hated brother in law, who has been so nasty to her retarded brother, who has made her life miserable, etc (family stuff) has just been indicted by the Feds grand jury for taking bribes and putting thru legislation in Colma (home of all the SF BAy Area graveyards)....Karma Karma Karma....he was taking bribes of trips to the Philippines from the owner of Lucky Chances Tours...turns out it is a shell company for this guy's money laundering. This is what they got Tome DeLay (and others I presume) on...but this Bro in law is a dumb Dem, unfortunately. So for you Bay Area people, it is in today's paper. And my friend was laughing all the way....I keep telling her it all comes back on people, and it sure looks like this is happening all over the place now.

Cybear....this has been part of my consciousness for years now, what is happening with you...I would hear whole conversations play in my head and then hear them minutes or hours or even days later on tv, in the paper, on the radio....the veil is thinning.

JoO....loved the Belief-O-Matic site....when I was a kid on Oahu, maybe 9-10, I started telling everyone I was a Druid...then I went on to Buddhist...I think I did it mostly to gall the stuffy folk...later did lots of genealogy and found I was descended from many of the orginal Quakers in this country. I have studied new age material for 25 years....and the only church I ever thought I MIGHT be able to attend (probably not, but MIGHT) was the Universalist.

So what comes up? I am 100% Neo Pagan, Universalist 97%, with varying degrees in the 90% range of Buddhist, Libral Quaker and New Ager beliefs, with some Scientology (I actually agree with some of the teachings and spent 5 years doing workshops i n a similar discipline).

The Pagan thing surprised me. And I've avoided any religious preference all my life.

Well now that's interesting... just slightly. Anyway, I was thinking pope rat got some really good publicity out of that confession (yes, pun intended). I like seeing these pink supremacist cutthroats at each other's cut/throats. http://articles.news.aol.com/news/_a/aide-says-he-told-hasterts-office-about/20061004161209990030

I was very surprised, judi, that liberal quakers came up 100%?!?!? Then neo-pagan at only 93%. Mebbe I'll attend a quaker meeting with my dear friend, Peggy, who is a quaker. That'd be a real hoot if I found it 100% satisfying. Guess I'm a bit more conservative in some area of thot than I thot. Hahahahaaa

Y'all should give the quiz a go!

following up on FoleyGate...from Josh Marshall:

Percentage of voters in Rep. Tom Reynolds' (R-NY) district who disapprove of his behavior in Foleygate? According to SurveyUSA, 66%.
AND: http://www.tpmcafe.com/blog/coffeehouse/2006/oct/04/its_all_the_liberals_fault_or_maybe_george_soros_yeah_thats_it_george_soros

While that spin on the cover-up is disturbing, the other spin is actually funny. It’s all George Soros’s fault. This is the story behind the "dirty trick" theory being peddled by Katherine Harris, Gingrich again, Hugh Hewitt, and apparently now being peddled on Fox News. Whenever the right runs into trouble, it seems their first move is to play a game of "Six Degrees of George Soros": What’s the fewest number of moves we can make to blame this on George. You can imagine them testing out various theories: How about this one: Soros’s operatives in Eastern Europe starting in the 1980s bred a super-race of sexually irresistible young men, taught them perfect English, had them placed as congressional pages and programmed them to tempt Mark Foley. Hmm, nice try, but a little more Blofeld than Soros.
No, the new line, from Gingrich to Katherine Harris, and the weirder corners of the right-blogosphere, is that it’s all George Soros’s fault because a "Soros-funded organization" had the e-mails and waited until just this critical moment in the election cycle to release them. Meanwhile, kids were put at risk. Someone named Clarice Feldman who writes at The American Thinker (modesty in blog naming has never been the right’s strong suit) seems to have figured this one out. Drat. If it weren’t for Clarice, Scooby and the rest of those meddlesome kids, George would have gotten away with it, too! Unfortunately there’s one loose end to the theory -- the organization, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (which does get a small grant from Soros’s foundation, although the right referred to CREW as "Soros-funded" even when it wasn’t), immediately turned the e-mails over to the FBI, and released them only after ABC News made the story public.

So get back to the drawing board guys: Connect Mark Foley to George Soros in six moves or less!

Judi, I've finally managed to boil down my spirituality to a tongue-in-cheek "pan-theistic pagan solipsist - with chocolate sprinkles on top."

Probably not accurate, but I just can't be a joiner, though I've gone from Methodist to yogic to being a cantorial soloist for Reform and Conservative Jewish congregations, and back around again. And as you say, at least it drives the monkeys nuts!

It probably thot that the child was going to learn to be a decent "preyer" & now discovers that his son is a "preyee." Ohmy... ;O)

I imagine that republic "leadership" is counting off in their wee pea-brains how much donations will decline as a result of not being able to keep their stupid lil peckers in their great big pockets... like clinton or pope rat... only much, much worse

Ahhh...Joanna, no Quakers AREN'T conservative, especially the 'liberal' Quakers....I was only 86% liberal Quaker, an I got all my info about Quakers from DNA, but I did not knowing any! (I do have a friend in Seattle who is now...we weren't close at all in high school, but now we share similar political views on life.)

What I think it all means is that it is still all (meaning religious orgs) on a 'fan' from very liberal and intuitive and intouch with the inner divine to the very authoritarian...my bhudism is Mahayana Buddhism, which I've never heard of and is at 90%. BTW...I had Roman Catholic at 18% and Jehovah's Witness at 15%. I've always been anti authority....as any good little girl with Saturn conj. the Sun would be.

I should add that many of the things I "believe" started at an early age....and not from any training. I have an intuitive feel that Jesus would not be very happy at our current state of affairs, and that these compassionate Xians are no better than the Philistines.

I've been meaning to find out about Congressional Page School and how it works (I have no clue)....I know of two from my high school who went(Baraka, since you went there, do you remember Bill Strauss? He wrote "the Fourth Turning" and was appointed to CPschool. His mom is a prominent publicist, but they didn't have money that I know of His brother Steve from my class went to Brown, but I always assumed full scholarship)....the guy who would have been validictorian in my class went to CPschool...and he was also not wealthy....but on the other hand, Caspar Weinberger's kids went to Burlingame High school also, so maybe some strings were pulled....he wasn't in Nat'l government then, but was prominent in the R's party even then.

Rice More Sordid Than Foley
By Robert Scheer
Truthdig

Tuesday 03 October 2006

They are such liars. And no, I am not speaking only of the dissembling GOP House leaders led by Speaker Dennis Hastert who, out of naked political calculation, covered up for one of their own in the sordid teen stalking case of Rep. Mark Foley.

Call me old school, but I am still more concerned with the Republicans molesting Lady Liberty while pretending to be guarding the nation's security, an assignment which they have totally botched. The news about the Foley coverup, while important as yet another example of extreme hypocrisy on the part of the Republican virtues police, should not be allowed to obscure the latest evidence of administration deceit as to its egregious ineptness in protecting the nation.

On Monday, a State Department spokesman conceded that then-National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice had indeed been briefed in July 2001 by George Tenet, then-director of the CIA, about the alarming potential for an Al Qaeda attack, as Bob Woodward has reported in his aptly named new book, "State of Denial."

Really great article bY Robert Sheer

Flo...read Scheer's article in the paper this morning...loved it....

Watched Olbermann tonight....the skinny is that Hastert is dead meat, dead in the water, thrown under a bus....and that the whole magilla is going to come down. Saw the soundbites of Kirk Fordham resigning from Reynolds staff....and Reynolds with Laura Bush in a fund raiser SURROUNDED by what looked like a whole classroom of little kids....! Which meant that NO REPORTERS could ask him sexually direct or explicit questions in their presence. What pricks, what scum, they are using CHILDREN as human shields.

Between that and pictures of the lying Condiment Rice, I gag. She looks so lizard like and predatory. Who ARE these people? They are sunken into the slime so far it is hard to tell.

Time for GOP to "ex-Foley-ate"...
Etymology: Latin exfoliatus, past participle of exfoliare to clean away repugnant detritus. From Latin ex- + foleyum page-turner.

JoO....the Hasterts, Sensenbrenners, all those bloated pink stuffed sausages are killing themselves with their own hands. Hastert is definitely under the bus. Although of course, the right immediately brings up the Dem who was caught doing the same think back in the 1980's and he didn't resign, or apologize, nor was Tip O'Neill forced to resign.

Reminds me of the time during the impeachment of Bill when Gingrich had to resign as speaker and they elected that tall goodlooking guy from the south, forgot his name, who lasted all of a couple of days because it turns out he was a serial adulterer...and the women were talking. Remember that? then they elected Hastert.

OK..someone else is as paranoid as I am about the R's saying they will control both houses after the election:" Bob Fertik at Democrats.com:
What Is Cheney's Secret Plan for Stealing the 2006 Elections?

Submitted by Bob Fertik on October 5, 2006 - 11:54am.2006 Races
If you obsessively track each day's polls over at MyDD (as I do), you're probably feeling optimistic that Democrats will likely win a majority in the House (15 pickups needed), and possibly even the Senate (6 pickups needed).
And those polls were conducted before Predatorgate, which has stopped the GOP election machine dead in its tracks. Now the GOP is forming a circular firing squad and alienating the honest Christians in their base.
But if you're feeling optimistic, this should send a chill up your spine:
Cheney flatly rejected predictions by pundits that Democrats will take control of the House and Senate in November.
“We will retain control of both houses,” he said.

BIG story this morning in SF Chronicle on a wealthy developer from NY (Howie Rich) libertarian who funnels millions of bucks into putting land rights propositions on states ballots. He funnels moneys thru tax exempt orgs...this is another version of K Street...money buying law. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2006/10/05/MNGBOLINSB1.DTL
A network of tax-exempt advocacy groups -- all with ties to a New York real estate investor -- is funneling millions of dollars to the campaign for a California property rights measure in a way that cloaks the identity and number of financial supporters.

The intricate financial web is the source of nearly all the money used to promote Proposition 90, an initiative on the November ballot aimed in part at curbing the power of government to seize private property. The financing network has spent more than $14.6 million around the country since late last year on 20 initiative drives, most concerning property rights and taxes.

(Whether or not one agrees with this guy's positions, it is still buying laws.) The wealth concentrated now at the top of the country's wealthiest people is starting to be returned via huge bequests....Mrs. Littleman donated 35 mill to the SF Opera....Gates and his foundation, George Lucas...175 mill to USC .....etc. Lots of it going on, all to fund personal projects. This has always gone on...corporations lobbying congess, wealthy people buying law. It is not going to last.

re Bill Moyers program:

"Capitol Crimes"

"It's a dizzying scope of perfidy and politics that boggles the imagination, and although Jack Abramoff and Tom DeLay have been brought down, the system remains as vulnerable as ever," says Bill Moyers. "The scale of corruption still coming to light dwarfs anything since Watergate. In one sense it's the age-old tale of greed, but greed encouraged now by the way our system works. Deep in the plea agreements of Jack Abramoff and his cronies is the admission that they conspired to use campaign contributions to bribe politicians; campaign finance is at the core of the corruption. They took great pains to cover their tracks, and they might have pulled it off except for a handful of honest people, and the work of some enterprising print reporters, Senate investigators, and the ethics team at the department of justice. Following the money in this story leads through a bizarre maze of cocktail parties, golf courses, private jets, four-star restaurants, sweatshops - and the aura of chandeliered rooms frequented by the high and mighty of Washington."
With the MOYERS ON AMERICA series, we inaugurate the Citizens Class, an extensive, interactive curriculum designed to encourage and facilitate public discourse on the issues raised in the series. The workshop features multimedia discussions, reference materials on the key perspectives presented in the program, and questions for further reflection - all designed to stimulate deep and thoughtful community dialogue. I just think that hastert has now alienated a whole swathe of them folks... & they'll talk to all THEIR families & friends. * Ethics Committee Ready to Probe Foley Case

Speaker hastert's job is on the line as members of the House ethics committee[sic] decide how to launch a credible investigation of former Rep Mark Foley's salacious computer messages to teenage pages.

An extraordinary political spectacle surrounded the committee's first scheduled mtg Thur. [The Torture Party] publicly blamed hastert for failing to take action after he was warned about the messages, & a former Foley aide said he told [porno] leaders about the FL congressman's conduct years earlier than they have acknowledged. ... http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory?id=2530048&page=1

OUR RIGGED ELECTIONS:

The Elephant in the Polling Booth

Democrats are going to lose the contest in November, even though the people will (again) be voting for them. The Bush Republicans are likely to remain in power despite the fact that only a minority will vote to have them there. That, at any rate, is what will happen if we don't start working to pre-empt it now.

Cheney, of course, is as foolish and delusional as ever. He is far from the omnipotent, omniscent god he certainly wishes that he were, and his Republican party is going to lose, either this year, or most certainly in 2008.

I would say woe to them if they do steal a "victory" this year, because the public will be up in arms, and the true resistance to the NeoCons will finally burst out into the open.

Another two years of Repug rule will be be a terrible disaster for the US and the world, as well as the permanent ruin of the GOP and perhaps even conservatism itself, with their coalition broken into more pieces than Humpty Dumpty. Even the Corporate and Church Kings' horses and men won't be able to put it all back together again.

Hey QOP - great story about the hawks! and so literal, yes!

Marta, I'm wanting to answer your question - what date and time would you guys assign to this election? Do you guys look at the close of polls or the opening? I would figure opening, but I'm not sure if there's a general consensus on this. It's obviously set for Washington for November 7, but what time would you guys use?

Dennis Hastert: Jan. 2, 1942, Aurora, Illinois.

Mark Foley: Sept. 8, 1954, Newton, Mass.

Posted by: Beasley on October 6, 2006 04:07 AM

Marta, I'm going with the positive that things will shift with this election. Of course, one can't easily predict with the use of Symbols, but one can try!!

The Sun on the day of voting is Scorpio 16: A Girl's Face Breaking into a Smile - I'm hoping the right side of the face (excuse the lopsided pun!) is smiling and not the wrong side (i.e. THEM).

Also, the nodes. I'm really hoping the Symbols of the nodes come through. The South Node is on Virgo 25: A Flag at Half Mast in Front of a Public Building and the North Node is on Pisces 25: The Purging of the Priesthood.

This bodes well for chucking them out, but it could mean that just some of them are chucked out. However, the flag at half mast certainly does look like the 'end of an era'.

Pluto is squaring the nodes from Sag 26: A Flag Bearer in a Battle - interesting... "flag waving" - feeling like one has to have the guts to get out front and declare one's position and beliefs, often without the usual ammunition to 'fire back' or 'defend' one's self. It can feel like one's putting themselves in the line of fire because of a cause.

Mercury is (uh oh) retrograde on Scorpio 19: A Parrott Listening and Then Talking - this often shows scandal, gossip, phone tapping?? etc - but this kind of thing is fairly standard with an election.

Jupiter is on Scorpio 27: A Military Brass Band Marches Noisly Through the Streets. This follows on from the Pluto degree, really... there there's flag waving and here there's more and then there's the flag at half mast of the south node.

Neptune is on Aquarius 18: A Man UnMasked at a Masquerade...

praying....

I've said it before, but I'm going to say it again (just in case I'm right!! :) ) - Condoleeza Rice and Dick Cheney are on their way OUT. I can't see either of them surviving much longer - and, of course, Rumsfeld.

What horrible individuals they all are!!!

Flag at Half Mast - I say - and The Purging of the Priesthood - can't come fast enough.

Folley: Sun, Mars by transit in Libra packing a whollop to his north node, moon, chiron at 12,22 and 23 Capricorn natally. Saturn by transit packing a whoozie to those same points; and of course, Uranus by transit approaching an opposition to his natal Sun at 15 Virgo.
There are a few other choice goodies, but on to Hastert.

Hastert:Saturn just finished opposing his natal Venus at 19 Aquarius, and Neptune is fast approaching that point...19 Aquarius. Transiting Uranus has been pointing a thorny finger (with a quincunx) at his natal Pluto. Transiting Uranus is now squaring his natal Jupiter at 13 Gemini. And how could I forget the T-square transiting Neptune and Saturn make to his natal Saturn and Uranus conjunction at 22 and 26 Taurus.

In short, the horse pucky is flying at both of these guys. Even though Hastert has some very nice aspects in his chart, I don't thing he will last. Uranus is going to unseat him.

* Molly's Astrology Astrological forecast for Oct 2006

As above, so below. This is a basic premise of astrology. Not that the planets & stars command us or influence us by way of cosmic rays, but that they are signs & signals that we can read to get a sense of the world around us. Astrologers have been practicing & perfecting this art for millennia.

As I look at the calendar for Oct, I see that things are getting a little clearer since Sept. We are still in the middle of a t-square, as Jupiter occupies a space in the sky 90° from both Saturn/Neptune, which oppose each other thru next Summer. In Sept, the Jupiter/Neptune square is exact. In Oct, the Jupiter/Saturn square is exact. We can think of this as an energy transfer in a way. We can take the insights (& the stupid ideas) that we came up with when Jupiter squared Neptune, & throw them up against the wall of reality as Jupiter squares Saturn this month. ... http://north-node.com/articles/october-2006

* …The giveaway is whether Saturn (establishment, govt) is running with or in opposition to the outer planets. Simple as that. Because of their relative speeds, the outer planets (OP) spend most of their time within a 180° arc, often within a 120° arc, with only relatively brief periods when Uranus is outside of it. If you take all the rest of the planets out of the chart, you see history developing itself in a cozy OP nest—a bowl or even a bundle chart. Put back all the other planets and you hardly notice the effect, because they move around so fast & clutter up the view. Put back just one, Saturn, & you see a rhythm of periods in history when Saturn is outside of that bowl, & much of that as the handle of a bucket chart. During thee times, the establishment is bucking the tide of history. The majority of aspects made by Saturn are hard & conflicting, primarily because of the preponderances of squares, quincunxes, & oppositions. Conversely, when Saturn is within the OP nest, the additive trend of the aspects it makes is supportive, because of the preponderance of the conjunction, semi-sextile, sextile, & trine.

If these were all you had to deal with, you’d have already noticed all this long ago. But it is not the habit of astrologers to be so semi-selective. It has been traditional to look at conjunction cycles of one or two planets as history-shapers. That concept has been around since al-Kindi & Abu Ma’shar & was shaped by Aristotle. But a tide, historical or otherwise, is not a single event but a flow of events, & that is what you want to look for. When you throw all the planets in, the self-cancelling clutter of the shorter-cycle planets obscures the mixed rhythms that Saturn & the outer planets make that both depict the shape of history & yet are still within a single human lifespan, within the tangible range of human choice. In other words, you can see which way progress lies—even if it isn’t popular, or in power, or even appealing at the moment—& you can take the right side. Perhaps “right” may be too charged a word, but you can take the side of history & progress, such as it is, for sure. … http://www.astrococktail.com/newsletter2.html

More Bush Lies on Iran Exposed

The Bush administration has long claimed that Iran is supplying arms to militas and other insurgents in Iraq to use in their attacks on American and British troops. But like many other claims asserted by Bush adminsitration and Pentagon officials regarding Iran and Iraq, it seems there is just one small problem with this charge: it doesn't appear to be true. From Today's edition of the Washington Post:

British Find No Evidence Of Arms Traffic From Iran
Troops in Southeast Iraq Test U.S. Claim of Aid for Militias
By Ellen Knickmeyer
Washington Post Foreign Service
Wednesday, October 4, 2006; Page A21

ON THE IRAQ-IRAN BORDER -- Since late August, British commandos in the deserts of far southeastern Iraq have been testing one of the most serious charges leveled by the United States against Iran: that Iran is secretly supplying weapons, parts, funding and training for attacks on U.S.-led forces in Iraq. [...]

There's just one thing.

"I suspect there's nothing out there," the commander, Lt. Col. David Labouchere, said last month, speaking at an overnight camp near the border. "And I intend to prove it."

Other senior British military leaders spoke as explicitly in interviews over the previous two months. Britain, whose forces have had responsibility for security in southeastern Iraq since the war began, has found nothing to support the Americans' contention that Iran is providing weapons and training in Iraq, several senior military officials said.

Just once I'd like to read something in mainstream that says: "US accused of having weapons of mass destruction! The world community says it will now have to carpet bomb Wash DC & other sites (mostly of govt officials) to bring security & peace to the USian people."

or

"China says the US is a danger to theyselves & to the world! Plans to inter & torture govt officials in order to bring the citizens peace, security & prosperity! All pink people will undergo psych evalutions for tendencies of criminal supremacy!"

or

"South America says it will invade the outsider US for the purpose of prosperity and peace! In addition, it will build hundreds of permanent military bases to run govt ops, round up govt criminal riff-raff into work camps, & begin the sale of all public lands, buildings, forests/parks, ports, & roads to pay debts (ohps, the bushaholic regime has already done that last part)."

...stuff like that.

From fox noooz no less...

* Internal Poll Suggests Hastert Could Devastate GOP

House Republican candidates will suffer massive losses if House Speaker Dennis Hastert remains speaker until Election Day, according to internal polling data from a prominent GOP pollster, FOX News has learned.

"The data suggests [rt-wring] Americans have bailed on the speaker," a Republican source briefed on the polling data told FOX News. "And the difference could be between a 20-seat loss and 50-seat loss."

Most GOP lawmakers have stood by Hastert, pending a full airing of the facts in his handling of the Mark Foley affair, in which the former Florida representative was caught exchanging salacious messages with teen pages in Congress. The new polling data, however, suggests that many voters already have made up their minds.

The GOP source told FOX News that the internal data had not been widely shared among Republican leaders, but as awareness of it spreads calculations about Hastert's tenure may change. The source described the pollster who did the survey as "authoritative," and said once the numbers are presented, it "could change the focus" on whether the speaker remains in power. ... http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,218043,00.html

Well, yeah... & like hastert's the only reason why the whole Torture Party shouldn't be destroyed.

Wednesday, September 20, 2006 Johnny Gosch and More, Part VI: Some Think Jeff Gannon was Johnny In 2003, a young man appeared in Washington, whom some thought was Johnny Gosch. At least the fellow had the same initials and was the right age. Jeff Gannon was the name used by James D. Guckert, a person who had a few web sites advertising himself as a $200 an hour male prostitute. In the sex industry, he was nicknamed "Bulldog." Before he had press credentials, he was attending White House briefings. Though he had no training in journalism, he was soon representing two tiny Right-wing news services and was to attend WH briefings for almost two years. He was known for giving the press secretary and [rez] softball questions. His questions often included false information about Democrats.

He attended 155 of 196 press briefings over almost two years/ He was in the WH 2 doz times when there was no briefing. 14 times he entered but did not check out, which led some to say he stayed overnight. Twice he entered without signing in March, 2003, before he was a journalist. He also bragged about having seen secret documents that revealed that Valerie Plame was a covert CIA operative in 2004, he was invited to the WH Christmas party, a sign of standing in Wash est.

Many speculated that Jeff Gannon was really Johnny Gosch & noted that a Jeff Gannon was the Des Moines World Telegram editor who ridiculed the claim that Gannon was abducted....." http://forwardamerica.blogspot.com/2006/09/johnny-gosch-and-more-pa...

1. Nato is now in command in Afghanistan. We have troops there but they arfe making the decisions.

2.Karhsi, Musharrif, Pres of Khzakistan, was wined & dined in Kennebunk, then to the WH., ( didn't hear a word about it in the press!)Karhzi & Mussarif were trotted out to the press, but Khazakistan, didn't warrent even a clip of a stroll across the WH lawn?

3.All those Navel ships are heaeded for the Persian Gulf, with mione sweepers etc.

4. Congress voted for $20, mil for VICTORY CELEBRATION, in the latest budget bill.

5. Condi makes quick unannounced trip to Baghdad!

Does that add up to a false declaration of Victory? SO we can attack Iran?

The sex scandal certinally did veil those dots didn't it.

She is the Heather of Heathers, the obnoxious troublemaker you knew in primary school who always tried to get you and other innocent people in trouble. A tattletale and a liar who hopes she can watch you get punished for something you did not do.
My natal Eris was at 3 degrees of Aries in my third house with my 6 siblings, very near to my ruling planet Jupiter at 0 degrees Aries also in the third.
Then strangely enough she moved slowly across my 4th house cusp at 19 degrees Aries and became a real family problem into my home area as mother and daughter have joined in the you should have a sense of humor and are too easily conned by Eris and think it might be fun to cause problems for others and me.
I used to think of them little, jealous sisters as mosquitoes and I still do. bjt

***A Cosmic Trigger Event will occur on the 17th of October 2006.***

By Raphiem/Blue

This is the beginning, one of many trigger events to come between now and 2013. An ultraviolet (UV) pulse beam radiating from higher dimensions in universe-2 will cross paths with the Earth on this day. Earth will remain approximately within this UV beam for 17 hours of your time.

This beam resonates with the heart chakra, it is radiant fluorescent in nature, blue/magenta in color. Although it resonates in this frequency band, it is above the color frequency spectrum of your universe-1 which you, Earth articulate in. However due to the nature of your soul and soul groups operating from Universe-2 frequency bands it will have an effect.

The effect is every thought and emotion will be amplified intensely one million-fold. Yes, we will repeat, all will be amplified one millions time and more.

Every thought, every emotion, every intent, every will, no matter if it is good, bad, ill, positive, negative, will be amplified one million times in strength.
What does this mean ?.........http://educate-yourself.org/ww/oct2006cosmictriggerevent25sep06.shtml

Documentary Alleges Pope Linked to "Child Abuse Cover-Up"

News Commentary – October 3, 2006

The BBC broadcast a documentary Sunday night, which claimed that Pope Benedict XVI was implicated in the cover-up of child sex abuse allegations against Catholic priests.

Before becoming pope the then Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger enforced a "secret Vatican decree which sheltered the perpetrators and silenced the victims", the BBC’s Sex crmes and the Vatican claimed.

The decree was contained in a 1962 document Crimen Sollicitationis, which advised senior clergymen how to handle priests who "solicit or provoke the penitent toward impure and obscene matters", according to a BBC translation.

Moreover, the original document imposed an oath of secrecy on victims, witnesses and those probing abuse claims; threatening that anyone breaking it would be excommunicated, so the program claimed.

Father Tom Doyle, a canon solicitor reportedly sacked by the Vatican after criticising its handling of child abuse claims, told Panorama that the document was "an explicit written policy to cover up cases of child sexual abuse by the clergy, to punish those who would call attention to these crimes by the churchmen."

Olbermann's Special Comments
The traditional media has been slow to come to grips with the American public's distrust and dislike of President Bush -- sentiments clearly reflected in opinion polls dating back well over a year.

Almost alone among the network newscasters, MSNBC's Keith Olbermann is channeling that sensibility. Channeling it -- and amplifying it.

In fact, the increasingly shrill Olbermann is fast becoming the Howard Beale of the anti-Bush era: He's mad as hell, and he's not going to take it anymore.

His newscast-ending "special comment" yesterday was a doozy

The Real Foley Scandal is Much Bigger than Foley
It's a sad commentary on the state of American democracy, on the instincts of the American citizenry, and on the standards and judgement of the American newsmedia that the unsavory advances of a pathetic Forida congressman can have the nation in high dudgeon, while the ramming through of a patently illegal piece of legislation undermining a crucial 13th century civil liberty (habeas corpus), and the Fourth and Eithth Amendments of the constitution, and the secret planning for an illegal and catastrophic attack on Iran, both merit almost no complaint or mention.

Far be it from me to complain if Rep. Mark Foley's sexual obsession with teenage boys ends up sinking Republican hopes for hanging onto the House and Senate. But how sad that it would be if it is this, and the coverup of his crimes by the Republican leadership, that undoes the Bush administration, when its real crimes are of such grandeur and seriousness?

How are we to compare seeking to screw an underage youth with totally screwing the Constitution? How are we to compare secret email solicitations with a secret plot to attack a nation of 62 million that poses no immediate threat to the U.S.?

These people have ridden roughshod over us sitting on their white horse in judgement pretending they are one of the four horsemen, condemning us for our moral inferiority while this has been happening. This is off subject and probably few on this board will know who this is unless you are from the KC area or a hard core baseball fan but tonight baseball legend Buck O'Neill passed away at the age of 94. Denied playing in the major leagues because of his race, he later went on to become the first African American coach in major league baseball. After his retirement he became a tireless promotor for Kansas City, Negro League Baseball and the game in general. Earlier this year he was denied entrance to the baseball hall of fame by one vote and he accepted this snub with grace and dignity. A bright light has gone out. He will be missed. I never met him but I wish I had. Rest in peace, Mr. O'Neill. You have earned it.

Born 1911 in Carabell FL November 3, 1911. At the age of 94, when he was denied induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame, he told wellwishers, "God's been good to me. They didn't think Buck was good enough to be in the Hall of Fame. That's the way they thought about it, and that's the way it is, so we're going to live with that. Now, if I'm a Hall of Famer for you, that's all right with me. Just keep loving old Buck. Don't weep for Buck. No, man, be happy, be thankful."

Yep.

JoannaO,
Is that post re: Colter for real? Or is it a satire?
Good full moon morning all.
Went to a rally to meet the Inependant candidate for Gov. of Maine.. Barbara Merrill. She's terrific!
And a man stood up and complained about the clear cutting / chipping a company is doing locally, ostensibly
to fuel a power plant, that is a failed experiment that doesn't produce enough electricitry. It isn't being done in a sustainable way. They have the backing of the Maine Land Preservation Group, ( when I saw the names of those in that group a while back I got an intuitiv e "no, no" feeling! I think there are several Hollywood stars involved who afren't up here & don't have a clue.
Meantime this man is being harrassed; is not allowed to cut trees on his own property, has had his drivers liscense revoked for no violation............etc. been threatened............
I passed on the Christian Mafia doc to Barbara when I got home, since she is challenging Baldacci.

TO SALLY AND EVERYONE – with love and appreciation for this site and all who visit here.

I’VE BEEN WONDERING WHY THERE HASN’T BEEN A DISCUSSION OF THE POWERFULLY INSPIRATIONAL AND CONSCIOUSNESS RAISING EVENTS OF THIS WEEK. And Sally, or anyone else, if you would, the astrology of it.

This week, we heard about and saw the horror of what happened to the Amish children in PA. And we heard about and saw the abuse of power in our congress and the White House. And we heard about the death of more and more US soldiers and Iraqis. And there is Bob Woodward’s book, and on and on and on.

And here on this blog (as well as on others) many of these things were written about. And there’s anger and frustration and fear, and we keep wondering how much longer we can hold on, and when we will come out of the mess going on in our country and the world. Now, there are glimmers of hope that the tide is turning. There seems to be a momentum building.

In the midst of all that is being revealed - and perhaps this is part of the momentum - from those Amish families came one of the most powerful expressions of love and forgiveness that I have witnessed in my lifetime. And yet its power and impact got hardly a mention.

I wonder about the counterbalance to all this negativity. How can we acknowledge the power and grace and beauty of the love and forgiveness those Amish families expressed? How can we acknowledge and honor and expand any expression of light shining through and breaking through the darkness and density? Through our thoughts and our spoken and written words that express a similar vibration.

From Dr David Hawkins:

*** "ONE person vibrating at level 500 (LOVE) can counterbalance 750,000 people of a lower vibration! “ (Anger, Fear, Shame, Guilt and Apathy are below 200.)

From Abraham-Hicks:

***“Your choices of action may be limited—but your choices of thought are not.”

And Today’s Abraham-Hicks quote:

***“You cannot be joyful without spreading your joy. You cannot be sad without spreading your sadness. You cannot be well without spreading your wellness. You cannot be sick without spreading your sickness. You cannot be poor without spreading your poverty. You cannot be prosperous without spreading your prosperity. Whatever you be, you exude to the ends of the Universe. The entire Universe benefits by that which you be.”

And I would add, “you cannot be loving and forgiving without spreading your love and forgiveness”.

PEACE and BLESSINGS

Teresa, I love baseball, and I am so grateful to Buck O'Neill for just being exactly who he is.

Posted by: Pat C on October 7, 2006 03:52 PM

Reading the entries this morning comes to mind a song that has been moving through my mind the past few days. I don't know all the words or even the singer,a woman. "Give yourself to love, dear, give your self to love. Love is what you came for give yourself to love."
I believe that there is so much coming out right now about the messed up sex of so many in the "family values party" because there has not been enough surrender to love there. Sex stays nasty as it so often is for adolescents because the judging, gossiping way of life leaves no room for real wiggly, gooshie love with real people in real relationships.
The loving Buck O'Neal and the Amish stand like giants against the judging, gossiping, denying energy that produces the the bigots, the perverts, the killers who have been taking up all the space lately.
Both Buck O'Neal and the Amish stand as witnesses to the true core of Christian thought. There it is: the word made flesh. I am giving myself to love today.
And sending all my love to you.

Web Exclusive
By Marcus Mabry
Newsweek

Oct. 7, 2006 - Come hell or high water-ran the conventional wisdom-Republicans could rely on two issues to win elections: the war on terror and values. Then came Mark Foley. The drip-drip-drip of scandal surrounding the former Congressman from Florida, which became a deluge this week, now threatens to sink Republican hopes of keeping control of Congress, says the NEWSWEEK poll out today.

And that was the good news for the GOP. More worrisome still, the Foley fiasco is jeopardizing the party’s monopoly on faith and power. For the first time since 2001, the NEWSWEEK poll shows that more Americans trust the Democrats than the GOP on moral values and the war on terror. Fully 53 percent of Americans want the Democrats to win control of Congress next month, including 10 percent of Republicans, compared to just 35 percent who want the GOP to retain power.

[snip]
Meanwhile, the president’s approval rating has fallen to a new all-time low for the Newsweek poll: 33 percent, down from an already anemic 36 percent in August. Only 25 percent of Americans are satisfied with the direction of the country, while 67 percent say they are not.

Bushes Celebrate Christening of Carrier

By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (AP) -- Spraying the bubbles from sparkling wine across the enormous gray bow of the USS George H.W. Bush, the Bush family on Saturday christened the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier named after the 82-year-old former president.

''She is unrelenting, she is unshakable, she is unyielding, she is unstoppable,'' Bush said, lauding the warship's state-of-the-art design before pausing for a punch line aimed at his mother's well-known steely constitution. ''As a matter of fact, probably should have been named the Barbara Bush.''

Yes the week was a real roller coaster! I ran the gamit of emotions. I recognized some of those Amish faces from shopping at the Reading Terminal Market. My Aunt & Uncle lived in Lancaster, and I used to drive up there for the weekend when I first got my liscense!
The Amish are now surrounded by resorts, outlets and other tourist attractions.
But yes, I heard the midwife speak, this morning on CNN, and this afternoon, I had a quiet time sitting on the hill in my yard, looking at the stream, and asking forgivness, and forgiving!

Reward for wrong behavior!
BANGOR, Maine, Oct. 6 (UPI) -- A Maine man trying to shoo a tiny spider out of his SUV ended up crashing and destroying his huge Lincoln Navigator.
James Lee, 28, was on his way to work in the town of Levant near Bangor, Maine, when he discovered he was sharing his SUV with a spider, the Bangor Daily News reports. While trying to eject the unwanted visitor, Lee lost control of the vehicle, left the road and hit a tree.

A spokesman for the Penobscot County Sheriff's office tells the Daily News the SUV was demolished but Lee walked away with just a bloody nose and scratches because his airbag deployed.

Even though he lost the Lincoln, the newspaper says Lee won't have to worry about transportation because last month he was one of 11 people from across the country to win a Volvo XC90 from McDonald's.

I've been keeping up with Foleygate while listening to Air America. I would like to make one comment. I have noticed throughout all these GOP scandals, like the Abu Graib and Gitmo scandal, and now the page scandal, is the idea of control. There is this tendency within the GOP to torture and molest those that don't have the same rights and privileges they have. In this sense, they truly are the "bullies" on the playground that pick out the weakest.

Schieffer stresses need for free press

Sat Oct 7, 5:55 PM ET
VERMILLION, S.D. - Veteran CBS newsman Bob Schieffer, who received the Al Neuharth Award for Excellence in the Media at the University of South Dakota, says the nation has never needed a vigorous free press more than now.

"I cannot remember a time when it's been more challenging for journalists," said Schieffer, 69, who has covered Washington for more than 30 years and hosts the CBS interview show "Face the Nation."

He said Thursday the government will always cover up its mistakes if it operates in secret and that it was up to journalists to expose the truth.

"Why does the government need a list of my phone calls?" he asked. "And what business does a democracy have running secret prisons? ... Do you believe that anyone would have known about these secret prisons or what was going on in Abu Ghraib if it had been left to the government to announce it?

"Some would argue these revelations hurt our cause. I argue just the opposite. Bringing mistakes to the fore is a strength, not a weakness."

Schieffer said America's great strength comes from emphasizing the values and principles that separate it from its enemies — "not by adopting their methods and their techniques."

Well... & if Charles is trying to make visible to us the transgendered world, & such as the cruel Coulter (& there are many more in politics/economics running the trend of things that affect OUR lives), who has added nothing but a deafening phantasmagorical shifting of truth/not-truth miasma, then it is an astrological theme as well. Neptune has been the basic underlying energy thruout this whole regime... ever shifting, changing, in is out - out is in, blah blah. And neptune is the energy showing us where we're deluded... period. If the gay/transgendered politician cannot be real & truthful about his very most basics to all of us... the form in which one expresses... then the world of deception becomes everything! After a while, who can tell the differences between what's real & what's not real?!? It's become real hard these days. And there are many more difficult & painful consequences leading out from just this one neptunian point of deception about one's self in "man's" society than there's room to type here (not to mention pluto energies).

Posted by: JoannaOregon on October 8, 2006 08:50 PM

I will add that I think there's no field so ripe for delusion than the religiose field... the group upon which the necroporns have directed most all of their attention. I should know having a cancer moon in the religious 9th hse exactly square to neptune in the 12th. However, in my own work, the square has driven me to determinedly seek after the truth... if I could. ;O)

* Charles Darwin never knew Denny Hastert. If he had, he probably have revised his theories in “The Origin of Species” or, perhaps, scrapped the project altogether.

Evolution is a hoax. We are inextricably linked to a distant ancestor whose mental acuity has not increased in 5 million-years: Homo Moronus; republican Man.

The truth is that Hastert is to “evolution”, what bush is to “intelligent design”; concrete proof that both theories are firmly planted in evidentiary quicksand.

The Christo-fundamentalists will undoubtedly be enraged to discover that their elected officials can trace their lineage back to single-cell organisms who predictably respond to heat, light & the bribes of well-dressed lobbyists. This is the full-range of their behavior & it hasn’t changed since grizzled men in animal hides chased page boys around the confines of their fire-lit caves.

Nothing has changed.

Hastert, foley & bush have all reacted just as one would expect from members of their respective phyla. Foley has checked into Betty Ford clinic; creating the reassuring impression that pedophilia is an alcohol-induced condition. Bush has given his typical B-grade performance of a “morally indignant” leader, & Hastert has wobbled from microphone to microphone issuing his bland proclamations of innocence. These developments are entirely consistent with archeological surveys which demonstrate that Homo Moronus was a “buck-passing” simpleton with an insatiable penchant for young conservative-looking males. ... http://www.smirkingchimp.com/thread/1486

Interesting "gossip" from Wayne Madsen:
"October 7/8, 2006 -- The rumors about another top GOP member of the House being involved in sexual encounters with young "men for hire" are confirmed to WMR by well-placed sources in Washington's gay community. The member in question is House Speaker Dennis Hastert, whose "alternate" life style is the primary reason for him and his staff covering up the scandal involving ex-Florida GOP Rep. Mark Foley and his lewd messages sent to underage male congressional pages. Hastert's penchant to receive anal sex is well-known to our sources in DC's gay community. Additionally, Hastert's reported extremely small penis is the subject of many jokes among Washington's gay circles.

Speaker Hastert: The "butt" of many jokes among Washington's gay community.

WMR reported on old charges that swirled around Hastert when he was a high school wrestling coach at Yorkville High School in Yorkville, Illinois. Hastert decided to enter politics in 1980 after rumors surfaced about inappropriate contact with male high school students.

In July, Hastert was hospitalized at Bethesda Naval Hospital for cellulitis, a bacterial skin infection. In the Feb. 7, 2003 issue of AIDS Treatment News, doctors reported that they saw "a large increase in aggressive, antibiotic-resistant 'staph' (Staphylococcus aureus) skin infections in gay men in some areas -- and a separate epidemic in certain prisons. Symptoms include boils or blisters; treatment can be difficult, and sometimes requires hospitalization. One HIV doctor in Los Angeles who used to see about one case a year is now seeing two a week. In the past this infection occurred mainly in hospitals." The reports of serious skin infections among gay men was also reported in the Los Angeles Times on Jan. 27, 2003.

WMR has also learned that Republicans will soon mount an effort to discredit a senior House Democratic member with a sex scandal of a rather different nature. The member is aware of the plans and is circling the political wagons if the GOP launches their expected attack.
<a href="http://www.waynemadsenreport.com/"

similar article by Lawrence O'Donnell on Huffington Post:
"Many chiefs of staff are close, very close, to their bosses on Capitol Hill. But none are closer than Scott Palmer is to Denny Hastert. They don't just work together all day, they live together."

This is a nice uplifting piece.

AN ATTACK OF DARKNESS...OR IS IT?

Greetings!
The energies and events of September greatly supported us in arriving at a New space. October will be a month of cementing things in, of making these New spaces more concrete and secure, and even of finally bringing in all the pieces of these grand New roles we are now embodying. And as always, the energies we find ourselves in only serve as windows of opportunity. We need not take them if we are not yet ready or in alignment. And know as well, that if an opportunity is not taken now, another one will arrive when personal alignments are more intact. This is the beauty of the marriage between choice and energy. A new train will always continue to arrive at your trainstop.

So then, arriving in a New and higher vibrating space usually brings much. Making a leap in vibrational residency always comes with what we usually refer to as “darkness.” One level of understanding might say that as our lights begin to shine brighter, as we are now embodying more of Source, the darkness comes to thwart the light. But a higher view would indicate something quite different.

Mexico, Sep 21 (Prensa Latina) Amid the transfer of power to prezsident-elect Felipe Calderon, opposition leader Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador announced he will form a "shadow cabinet," which worsens the present political crisis in Mexico. On his ongoing national tour, Lopez Obrador has informed backers he is defining the members of the govt he will assume as the apparent legitimate Mexican president, a post given by the Sept 16 Democratic Natl Assembly.

He said his swearing-in ceremony will take place Nov 20, on the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the beginning of the Mexican Revolution. * Why We Need Eris

It’s all too easy to connect the discovery & naming of Eris with the conflict & strife in the world today. I’m not having any of it!

The general concept that appears to be emerging among astrologers is that Eris symbolizes conflict born of ego conflicts & injured pride. From there, it’s not much of a leap to show how the world’s current conflicts all contain an element of national pride & ego struggles. Well, what war doesn’t? Show me a territorial conflict that doesn’t involve an ego, & show me a war that doesn’t involve a territorial conflict. Religion is never the real issue.

As I wrote in my article on Ceres, we need to guard against taking the mythology too literally. All of these stories from Greek mythology are metaphors for a deeper truth. ... http://pisces-chronicles.blogspot.com/

What I just don't get is the incredible amount of self-loathing and hatred that a Gay man (or woman) must have for himself to even be a part of the largely homophobic GOP. Isn't this sort of like if Jews supported Adolf Hitler and the Nazis, or if Black people supported Slavery and the KKK?

It seems that people like Foley are going to extremes to live in denial, right down to taking wives and having children. And yet the truth still occasionally blows through all of the cover-ups and finds its' way out into the open. Maybe this is, at least in part, where Eris comes in, per Pat Paquette's new article? Suppressed feelings and emotions that cannot be denied.

There are probably many more like Foley, who publicly walk the walk and talk the talk on morality and so-called family values, but behind closed doors lead a very different sort of life. And then, like hypocrites, turn right back around in public and loudly proclaim their stand against any such "sinful" activities. Very sad people, these are.

Linda, thanks for the election day sabian symbols ... they sound very positive, though as you note, for whom? That will be the big question.

I felt a bit queasy about the military stuff though. We're on a tight timeline if #*$%% is going ahead against Iran. The public is not in the mood to accept it, hence we could be looking at martial law of some sort ... it's no accident that habeas corpus just got obliterated for all US citizens, and, as we all know, the facilities have already been built and are ready. They've already tested them out by housing Katrina dislocated persons and should have most of the kinks out by now. Remember those interviews awhile back where some were interviewed and said they were basically locked up? That it was run like a concentration camp? There's just no reason to have parked those people hundreds of miles away from any jobs, relatives, etc. The only reason to do it would be to train the guards and get the facilities in working order.

I'm sounding a bit negative today and I apologize ...

Posted by: Marta on October 9, 2006 03:53 PM

Marta, to see darkness and to describe what you have observed is not negative although it is painful. You are not the only one reporting on this and we need to be thoroughly informed so that we don't flinch when we have the opportunity to upset the plans of these bastards. They may not have an exact plan but they have invested in the camps and they will be used. Eventually.

Posted by: clymela on October 9, 2006 05:55 PM

Marta and clymela,

I can't remember where I read it this morning but somewhere there's an article about the camps already being used for the New Orleans dispossessed and that they are working out all the kinks about how to deal with large numbers of people in camps. Evidently (Greg Palast being one)people aren't 'allowed' to speak to the New Orleans refugees (I can't think of a better word and I deeply apologize if this offends anyone)and there is anecdotal evidence that they are fenced and locked in.

I am reminded of how the Jews were rounded up and shipped out in such secrecy and with lies being told of why and where they were being sent, that no one knew what was really going on. And when rumors did leak, no one believed that such a thing could be happening.

On another note, I went to the Columbus Day Regatta here in Miami this weekend and was able to admire the Harvest Moon. It came up like a red ball over the sea. One of my friends said, look at the sun! But no, it was most definitely the moon!!! Kind of eerie, but beautiful, nonetheless. Don't know how many drinks she'd had but a good laugh was had by all. Sunday I woke up at dawn and saw her again, a beautiful silvery orb floating high above the pink and purple waters.

President Pissypants

Bush is crying about Woodward’s book: Disloyalty
By: John Amato @ 12:46 PM - PDT
Atrios:

Some of his anger is directed at former aides who helped Watergate journalist Bob Woodward paint a lurid portrait of a dysfunctional, chaotic administration in his new book, "State of Denial."

In the obsessively private Bush clan, talking out of school is the ultimate act of disloyalty, and Bush feels betrayed from within.

"He's ticked off big-time," said a well-informed source, "even if what they said was the truth."

I guess he just can't stand the truth.

North Korea claims nuclear test

By Joseph Bermudez Jr JDW Correspondent
Colorado

Initial South Korean Ministry of Defence and National Intelligence Service reports indicated that a 3.58-3.7-magnitude blast was detected emanating from a North Korean nuclear test at 10.36 am local time (01:36 GMT). Subsequent reports from the US Geological Survey (USGS) place the magnitude of the tremor at 4.2 on the Richter scale. The difference in the reports is due to the fact that the USGS assessment, being somewhat later, was able to incorporate a larger number of sensor reports in its preparation.

The USGS data identifies the time and location of the blast as 9 October at 01:35:27 (GMT) and centred at 41.311—N, 129.114—E at a depth 0-1 km. This places the site approximately 42 km northwest of Kilchu, in the province of North Hamgyong, on the remote slopes of Mant'ap-san Mountain. This coincides with reports that first appeared during 2005 of suspicious tunnelling and construction activities in the area. Subsequent reports during the past month indicate that the North Koreans had excavated a 700 m-long horizontal tunnel under Mant'ap-san.

Although details are tentative, initial and unconfirmed South Korean reports indicate that the test was a fission device with a yield of .55 kT. By comparison the nuclear bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima yielded approximately 12.5 kT. The figure of .55 kT, however, seems too low given the 4.2 register on the Richter scale. This could suggest - depending upon the geological make-up of the test site - a yield of 2-12 kT. If, however, the lower yield is correct, it would suggest that the test had been a "pre- or post-detonation" event (ie a failure), as it had been anticipated that North Korea's first nuclear test would have a significantly higher yield

I consciously did not attach my name to avoid flamewars that would just hijack the thread. Even a phony name would have been flamed and I wanted to address the lurkers, not start a war. Fear not, I am not a troll nor a Republican operative, just a peace-loving Libra who was looking for a diplomatic way to call attention to a certain concern that - who knows, maybe even Sally has.

My post was intended to encourage the lurkers to post, and there's a lot of them, not criticize the ones who may not know that it was once thought of as poor netiquette to post 1,2,3 and more posts - one after the other.

I've been attending Sally's web sites since she was reached through Jerome Armstrong's old site and I visit less for the previously mentioned reason - it becomes less interesting when only a few commandeer the threads. Maybe I'm not the only one.

It does appear that more people are posting, though, doesn't it?

From Mark Crispin Miller:

As far as the next election is concerned, there's little we can do, as some 80%
of the vote will be electronically cast or counted on Nov. 7. So we it's necessary
that we take these other steps:

A) Support the independent exit polls planned by the Election Defense Alliance,
at http://www.electiondefensealliance.org/.

B) Tell people that they must vote on Election Day, so that the national turnout is as high as possible. This will make another theft that much more difficult to spin.

C) Tell people that it's very likely that the GOP will "win" despite its vast unpopularity, so that they (the people) won't become demoralized by their apparent defeat.

D) Urge everyone to monitor the process in his/her own locale as carefully as possible. Get visuals, as w/ a video camera. Take careful note of any monkey business.

E) If you spot improprieties, or have a problem at the polls, be sure to call 1-866-OUR-VOTE, and contact the EDA (address above), and tell them everything.

Keep a written record of your experience.

F) Get ready, psychologically, to stand with others in defiance of Bush/Cheney's latest "victory."

Shadowhawk, I certainly am no expert in this. If you'll go over to astrodienst (see right-hand side bar), they do have an astrocartography feature, though it is promoted as primarily to help you find a good vacation spot. Just enter your birth data, and the planets' paths will be displayed across a map of the world.

Posted by: shylurker on October 10, 2006 06:13 PM

Shadowhawk, the Saturn zone referred to is from geographic astrology called astrocartography. Jim Lewis is one of the founders. I won't go long, but astrocartography corellates your planetary and AC/DC MH/IC energies to geographic locations by a series of lines. It is said the energy has influence 250 miles on either side of the line. Google astrocatography or Jim Lewis. I get my astrocartography maps from my Solar Fire 6 software, but they are probably available free on the net. Try astro.com....Best of luck, Tim

Is this a preview of what is going to happen to governments when Pluto goes into Capricorn?

3 cities agree to mutual-aid pact

LOUISVILLE — Louisville, Cincinnati and Indianapolis city officials have agreed to offer one another emergency resources in case of natural disasters, terrorist attacks or other catastrophic events.
In one of the first agreements of its kind in the nation, the cities have pledged to help each other when a disaster overwhelms one of them.

"While we wait for the (state or federal) bureaucracy to make a decision about whether or not (to issue) a disaster declaration, you can get immediate help," said Doug Hamilton, director of the Louisville Metro Emergency Management Agency.

Rove's Top Aide Resigns

A massive ethics scandal that has spawned criminal prosecutions on Capitol Hill and on K Street claims its first victim deep in the heart of the White House.

You'd think that would be more than a one-day story, wouldn't you?

But you would be wrong.

There's a reason this White House, like the one before it, dumps bad news late on Friday afternoons. It rarely fails to rob the stories of traction.

Add to the mix the fact that the Foley scandal has been a heck of a distraction, and the result is that a lot of people haven't heard anything at all about an awfully consequential event.

Red October: Killing the Truth in Moscow
By Chris Floyd, TO UK Correspondent

Early October can be dismal in Moscow. The short, harsh summer is over, the brief and beautiful refreshment of September has passed, yet the snow - in which the city has its deepest life - has not yet come. Instead there is often miasma: gray days pocked with rain or fog, vague and ragged days, neither autumn nor winter but suspended in a limbo state.

They say last Saturday was just such a day in Moscow: tepid, damp, fog through the morning, clouds all afternoon, a limp breeze pushing at the torpor. The muffled sunlight would have just begun draining toward night when a young man - dressed in black, carrying a 9mm Makarov pistol - approached the nondescript apartment building at 18/13 Lesnaya Street. His target was in sight: a woman, early middle age, laden with groceries, walking toward the door. A few stray lines of the setting sun might have split the clouds as he moved toward her - or perhaps it stayed dim, miasmic. He wouldn't have noticed in any case: the door was open, they were inside, the pistol was out, he fired - a few shots to the body, one to the head; the woman fell. Her life was gone; the job was done. He dropped the pistol, as he'd been taught to do, and left the scene. It was, they say, about 4:30 in the afternoon.

That's how Russia's leading journalist, Anna Politkovskaya, came to die on Saturday. Many details of the death are still unclear - and as the Russian authorities launch their usual "thorough investigation" of yet another reporter's murder, no doubt the details will grow more and more muddled, more vague and ragged, until the chain of accountability leading back to the real culprits, the instigators of the hit, is lost in the murk. All we will be left with is this stark, basic fact: one of the world's most fearless voices for truth and human decency has been silenced forever.

Very VERY Canny Comments from another poster...

* I have been posting CONSPIRACY OF SILENCE here for the 4 mos or so I have been posting, along with info about the Franklin Coverup Scandal in the bush/reagan WH of children forced into sexual slavery by Larry King, the GOP singer of the national anthem during their convention TWICE.

I have been posting about Kay Griggs & her accusations of rumsfeld & the sex slaves in our US military, & the assassins teams of MK ULTRA, too.

Why? Because I am sure that sex is what brot Clinton down, & it was nothing compared to what the repressed sexual deviants of Cons w/o any real conscience do. I believed that since Americans couldn't care less about the death of maybe half a million Iraqis, they might care about sex with little boys in the WH, & I was right.

And I know that homosexuality is blackmail material for our congress, & that bush is gay, as Frist has been called & Boy Poodle Tony Blair. And that Gannon Guckert & his call boy service "drives" the WH.

I know most people are too frightened to look at these links, & that the thot of CIA & Mossad & the bush Cabal using child sex to bribe & blackmail our pols into more money for the military, & abdication of our Constituion & Bill of Rights & balance of powers & Habeas Corpus, etc. But all indications are that it is going on. No sh*t Shy. I've noticed they always say "violence in schools" instead of "school shootings" so as not to p*ss off their masters in the NRA.

These mf'ers' and their microscopic parsing of words makes the Big Dog's infamous "definition of is" seem quaint and laughable by comparison.....

Two longtime aides, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and Education Secretary Margaret Spellings, deftly led hours of panels at the National 4-H building in Chevy Chase with only a few glancing references to weapons.

Thank Goddess, my Grandaughter was spared this!
She spent last week at the National 4 H center, & left on Friday!

Is Habeas Corpus Dead ?

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3080261/

Go vote

The problem with voting on whether habeas corpus is dead is we lose no matter how we vote. If a majority votes we lost habeas corpus (and our democracy) and we don't riot in the streets then they don't lose anything. If a majority votes we didn't, then they don't care because it means the sheeple are still asleep.

This is unforgiveable in this day and age!

Medics beg for help as Iraqis die needlessly
Half of all deaths preventable, say country's medics
Reconstruction seen as disaster
More than 2,000 doctors and nurses are killed
18,000 more leave the nation
Even the most basic treatments are lacking

The disintegration of Iraq's health service is leaving its civilians defenceless in the continuing violence that is rocking the country, Iraqi doctors warn today.

As many as half of the civilian deaths, calculated at 655,000 since the 2003 invasion, might have been avoided if proper medical care had been provided to the victims, they say.

Seems our pols don't want the public seeing 'real' or true video from Iraq. Shows that war isn't very pretty even though CNN never showed the actual bullet impact. Now the pols are trying to get CNN pulled from embeddedship or whatever. Hmmmm

Why we aired the sniper video

Last night, we ran a controversial piece produced by our Baghdad correspondent Michael Ware. The backstory is that through intermediaries Michael had been communicating with Ibrahim Al-Shimary, a shadowy leader and spokesman for the Islamic Army. Michael had sent him a series of questions concerning the insurgency in Iraq and its motives. He was surprised when he received two vid-eota-pes in response. We aired portions of both last night.

One had Al-Shimary himself on camera -- his face electronically concealed -- responding to Michael's questions. The second tape surprised us even more. It documented 10 incidents of insur-gent snipers attacking U.S. military personnel. To be clear, insurgents shot the tape themselves. This group has released similar ta-pes in the past. Indeed, you can find them on the Internet. But this tape uniquely included audio from the sniper team as they selected targets, waited for their opportunities and then praised Allah as they made their escapes.
