ABC THIS ECLIPSE

September 7, 2006 Eclipse Lunar15 Pisces/Virgo – Saros Series 8 South
September 22, 2006 Solar Eclipse 29 Pisces – Saros Series 8 South.

“Separation and loss. To be parted. To finish something, and to feel sad at its completion. Physical injury is also possible through over-straining one’s strength. This is not the time to undertake strenuous physical activities. (Bernadette Brady “The Eagle and the Lark”)
Transiting Saturn 18 Leo

Bill Clinton Moon 20 Taurus (T-Saturn in square by less than a degree and a half)
ABC Mars 20 Taurus (T-Saturn in square by less than a degree and a half)

Not good aspects for either party to come out of this ahead or looking good. This is similar to the Reagan Documentary CBS was going to run a few years ago with the GOP throwing a fit about the inaccuracies and that it had to be removed from their line up. It was removed and sold to Showtime. The famous or infamous documentaries of historical figures and events are rife with “creative license.” Outside of WWII, (including FDR, Churchill, all the famous Generals, Hitler, Germany) we have a plethora of documentaries involving the Kennedys, (heck, Ted Kennedy is so accustomed to swallowing the family pride and reputation he doesn’t even try to rebuke, neither does the Royal Family) Nixon, Iran/Contra, Princess Diana, and a host of others. I suspect the documentaries regarding the Kennedys rival WWII. But today history and the lies of history move on and we have the beginning of the 9/11 made for TV “Movietones” reminiscent of the 10 minute “news shows” that were shown before a movie began, I found out 35 years later that those weren’t accurate either.

The fact that there was such an outcry over “The Path to 9/11” and the “creative license” taken by the writers and director is evidence that our emotions are still raw and we don’t believe we know what happened or who was to blame. We are not ready for a “General George Custer” whitewash of the evidence. We continue to be divided and we are moving toward demanding the truth, the unvarnished truth from those who would inform and lead us, plus it’s ridiculous to continue blaming Clinton for absolutely everything in the Bush Administration. It’s so ridiculous that I expect to hear any day now that Clinton personally started the Civil War and we are still a nation divided.

Oh, the Eclipse? That falls in a square to ABC’s Venus, it may not be a checkmate, but it is certainly “check” from Clinton to ABC and we are waiting for the checkmate http://www.calendarlive.com/tv/cl-wk-channel7sep07,0,6155461.story?coll=cl-tv-features

One of the ways I like to explain Astrology is the “rotation of Planets around the earth, and they act kind of like a broom; picking up dust from this spot and depositing it in another spot, only to have the wind pick it up and swirl it to another place altogether” As I’ve said many times, energy never leaves the planet, it doesn’t increase or decrease no matter how many people are born or how many die. No matter how many buildings go up or how many come down. It’s still the same amount of energy, the same amount of dust. But like dust can morph into solid dirt, energy too morphs and changes. And the very act of ending something changes the outcomes of the energy.

It’s to these “outcomes” I want to address and when I think the “outcomes” of the United States shifted. The planning started long before the act but the act which set some of our experiences today was primed on November 22, 1963 when John Fitzgerald Kennedy was shot down in Dealey Plaza. For over 40 years the public has focused on “who” killed JFK even the Warren Commission focused on “who.” The question is really “why”? What changed by his death and what new agenda was put in its place?

There are no end of suspects as to “who” the Kennedy brothers had a ton of enemies inside and outside the government. One of the more intriguing potential enemies was Prescott Bush who was instrumental in pairing up Eisenhower and Nixon as a team, even though Eisenhower didn’t like or want Nixon as his Vice President. Bush was also instrumental in the 1960 Nixon campaign, which he was positive Nixon would win. Nixon had been groomed and selected by the Tri-lateral Commission to be President, and no one thought in 1960 that America would elect a Catholic to the highest office in the land. Imagine their shock and disappointment. But there were other “who” candidates and if you’re interested Mary Ferrell Foundation is the repository of all things related to JFK. Her foundation is internationally considered the leading experts of the Kennedy assassination, before and after. http://www.maryferrell.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

The “whys,” are also varied possibilities; we have a “GOP” faction who hated Kennedy for what they saw as stealing the election. Lyndon Johnson and a Texas cabal also hated them and Lyndon too wanted to be President. The Cubans who thought Kennedy was trying to kill Castro, the Mafia who Bobby had taken on, Hoover and the FBI, the Kennedy’s were getting ready to force Hoover’s retirement (two days after the assassination Johnson gave Hoover a lifetime appointment) The CIA, because they didn’t get any help from JFK to invade Cuba and they went ahead with it anyway and many of them were killed. The Federal Reserve Bankers, Kennedy was in the process of marginalizing them as a power within the US, you see, there wasn’t a lack of people or groups who wanted JFK dead, in order to set another agenda for the US in place and the Kennedy brothers were in the way of that agenda. For all their personal flaws they truly believed in an honest America for all, a peace and prosperity for all and an end to the war in Vietnam. They were poised to extend the far reaching agenda of FDR for the people.

Every person who has ever been under scrutiny for the assassination, HL Hunt, G. Gordon Liddy, George HW Bush (Prescott’s Son) Hoover, a handful of Cubans, Johnson, Ford, Nixon, and several other small players then who are big players now. Four of those men have been president and all the others have been in the Nixon, Ford, Johnson, Bush administrations. They were all mentioned as involved in the Iran/Contra affair, the Cubans were caught in Watergate and those who are left are in today’s administration.

I wanted to set up just a pinch of the issues at the time in order to lay out the astrological map of then and now and how the planets have swept the “dust” of 1963 around to the “dirt” of today and the potential of that “dirt” being broken up into smaller bits of manageable particles of dust once again.

In the Assassination Chart

Saturn @ 17 degrees Aquarius
Neptune @ 15 degrees Scorpio
Mars and Venus were at 21 Sagittarius in opposition to the US Mars and square the US Neptune
Mercury was in a square to Uranus setting up a T-square to US Uranus
Progressed Jupiter now squares the natal North Node.

This was the last time Saturn and Neptune aspected each other in fixed signs (until now)
And Neptune has progressed to 17 degrees Scorpio (within three minutes of an exact square to the 1963 Saturn) Transiting Jupiter is about to conjunct the 15 degree Scorpio Neptune and tonight’s Eclipse passed over the 1963 Pluto in the 7th house.

In the JFK Natal Chart progressed Mercury is conjunct Mars and Venus in the Assassination Chart.

What does all this mean for us today? The day (August 31) transiting Saturn and Neptune opposed (the first time to aspect in fixed signs in 43 years) with Neptune exactly on the spot Saturn was in 1963 and Saturn opposing the same degree it occupied in 1963 we heard about the British Film Company who was making a TV movie about GWB being assassinated, a perfect metaphor for GWB and this administration. Just as the assassination of JFK ended his administration and the plans that administration tried to put into place, it looks like metaphorically, the plans begun by those taking advantage of the energy shift around JFK are almost at an end as the energy gets ready to shift again.

The last time there was a Saros Series corresponding eclipse at 8 South was in 1988 when GHWB was elected President, this 8 South ends that reign and a new “agenda” is being developed now. George W. Bush is not actually being assassinated (and that’s a good thing) but the astro message of the party being over looks pretty clear. That was the “why” Kennedy was killed, to destroy his agenda because it stood in the way of theirs; and now it’s their turn to lose the ground under their feet.

It won’t happen overnight, however the signals of a new consciousness, a moving up and out of this muck are already strengthening.

The very end of an era and the very beginning look exactly alike, both are at the bottom, but the beginning, while chaotic is moving up.

1963 Commencement Address to American University by John F. Kennedy

The most important topic on earth is peace. What kind of a peace do I mean? And what kind of a peace do we seek? The kind of peace that makes life on earth worth living, the kind that permits men and nations to grow and hope and build a better life for their children. Not merely peace for Americans, but peace for all men and women. Not merely peace for our time but for all time. For in the final analysis, our most basic common link is that we all inhabit this small planet, we all breath the same air, we all cherish our children’s future, and we are all mortal.

I don’t know how we got from the JFK vision and his ability to articulate his ability to see what we could aspire toward with what we have now, but I do know the destruction of that vision started on 11/22/1963 and the “replaced” hallucination has nearly run its astrological energy course.

It's too bad that vision of peace and connectedness for all was snuffed out, but it's out there, the energy is out there swirling around like dust balls waiting to be called forth once again for humanity.

"M" one of our posters sent this to me, I read it three times because it will just make you smile. All the Democrats sent this letter to Disney and made a thinly veiled threat as to the status their license would find itself if this documentary is aired with the, shall we say, partisan flaws.

Strike 1 Top Republicans challenge Bush
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/
WASHINGTON, Sept. 7 — The Bush administration’s proposal to bring leading terror suspects to trial met stiff resistance Thursday from key Republicans and top military lawyers who said that some provisions would not withstand legal scrutiny or do enough to repair the nation’s tarnished reputation internationally.

Strike 2 And as pointed out by Sally - ABC alters 9/11 show under pressure

I do believe there's an expression in Uncle Sam land - comes from a game even more boring than cricket "Three strikes and you're out"
Here's hoping but alas I fear there's a few more curve balls coming outa left field.

See what happens to a Scotsman when he visits American web sites:-)

Sally,

Thank you so much! I love that quote from JFK. I also believe his assasination is what started this downward spiral, thank goodness it's almost over! I, for one, am really looking forward to some sanity :)

The Sept. 11 that never was

ABC's docudrama "The Path to 9/11" is a false version of history. It popularizes right-wing myths by exaggerating Clinton's failures and Bush's successes, depicting events that never happened.
By Joe Conason

Sep. 08, 2006 | It would be uplifting to believe, as the producers of ABC's "The Path to 9/11" have claimed, that the network spent $40 million on its anniversary docudrama to educate the American people and improve the nation's defenses. And it would be reassuring to believe, as the producers have insisted in recent days, that "our ambitions and our goals and our standards were all about accuracy." But it is impossible to believe, after viewing their somewhat cheesy, sometimes incomprehensible and severely distorted version of the events leading up to the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, that they acted in good faith on either of those motivations.

Whether "The Path to 9/11" succeeds in cinematic terms will be judged by professional critics, who may or may not find the performances convincing, the script compelling, the visuals effective and the direction competent. Certainly the movie benefits from the presence of actors such as Harvey Keitel, who plays legendary FBI agent John O'Neill, and from location shooting in Morocco, New York and Washington, but these filmmakers are not about to displace Bernardo Bertolucci, Richard Attenborough or even Oliver Stone.

Part of the problem faced by the makers of "The Path to 9/11" was the sheer scope and complexity of the story they attempt to tell, which begins with the first bombing of the World Trade Center by Islamic terrorists in February 1993 and concludes with the catastrophic second assault on the twin towers and the Pentagon. The main narrative thread traces the often frustrating campaign by O'Neill, a truly heroic cop's cop, and his ally, former White House counterterrorism director Richard Clarke, to stop al-Qaida's myriad plots against the United States.

Tell ABC to Tell the Truth About 9/11

The Disbelievers

9/11 Conspiracy Theorists Are Building Their Case Against the Government From Ground Zero

By Michael Powell Washington Post

Friday, September 8, 2006

"It was a year before David Ray Griffin, an eminent liberal theologian and philosopher, began his stroll down the path of disbelief. He wondered why Bush listened to a child's story while the nation was attacked and how Osama bin Laden, America's Public Enemy No. 1, escaped in the mountains of Tora Bora.
He wondered why 110-story towers crashed and military jets failed to intercept even one airliner. He read the 9/11 Commission report with a swell of anger. Contradictions were ignored and no military or civilian official was reprimanded, much less cashiered.
"To me, the report read as a cartoon." White-haired and courtly, Griffin sits on a couch in a hotel lobby in Manhattan, unspooling words in that reasonable Presbyterian minister's voice. "It's a much greater stretch to accept the official conspiracy story than to consider the alternatives."
Such as?
"There was massive complicity in this attack by U.S. government operatives."
If that feels like a skip off the cliff of established reality, more Americans are in free fall than you might guess. There are few more startling measures of American distrust of leaders than the widespread belief that the Bush administration had a hand in the attacks of Sept. 11 in order to spark an invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq...."

Thank you ever so much, Cap'n Sally for getting so deeply and precisely into this subject. And I'm elated--can barely express how much--that you see this period as the wrapping up of that horrible event that I've always thought set us up for all the decades since then.

And, to add to the impact of what you're saying, be sure to note that this has now made it into mainstream news (in this case, yahoo):

Do you see any aspect which shows that we will be simmering and suffering in our collective karmic stew, or might we have the opportunity to change things around ala the phoenix from the ashes? Does the dust have to settle before we can begin to transform it?

* How Brown would mark his entrance

Gordon Brown's closest advisers have been extremely secretive about what he is planning for his first 100 days in office. Completely against the norm in the Westminster/Whitehall square mile, absolutely nothing has leaked out. But his team tease that there will be surprises, 10x bigger than the decision that announced his arrival as chancellor in 1997, giving independence to the Bank of England.

In prep for his accession, Mr Brown's advisors are taking a fresh look at policies that are well outside the normal remit of a chancellor, from Iraq to law/order, from House of Lords reform to climate change. As well as policy, they are looking at the restoration of trust, winning back the confidence of the party/public, in part by ditching govt spin-doctors & restoring the role to civil servants. They see the trust being rebuilt in other ways too, such as the proposal floated by his team last year of giving parliament a statutory right over any decision to go to war. ...

Social policy - Unlike Mr Blair, who was blocked from much of the domestic agenda by the chancellor, Mr Brown will be able to move freely over all areas of domestic policy. Since his early days in politics, his speeches have been full of a passionate desire to address the poverty gap. He could establish a social justice commission to look at the growing poverty gap & lay the ground for the introduction of fresh policies after the general election.

On education, Mr Brown has said in speeches he wants as much spent on each child in the state sector as in private education. Harriet Harman, the constitutional affairs minister, in the Independent on Sunday earlier this year, set out plans for extra employment rights for women. She is unlikely to have done so without being given the OK by Mr Brown. ... http://politics.guardian.co.uk/labourleadership/story/0,,1867422,00.html

So many good things have been ruthlessly repressed/supressed the past at least 40+ years that I rather imagine an explosion of them instead of an eeking-leaking out given half a chance.

Lovely quote by Kennedy, Miss Sally... I'd not read that before now. I was barely 16 y/o when Kennedy was murdered, sitting in a civics class room. Dang! "they" don't even teach civics anymore. Ain't THAT been convenient... However, our textbook was JEHoover's (prominent dragking) book on "communism" (can't think of the name)... which declared a "red boogyman" behind every rock n' "bush" (at least that bit was true TaHA!). Frightening stuff to a kid & shows that the propaganda mill has been churning on for such a long time.

Sally, your piece is so profound and so hopeful! May the dust swirls turn into a mighty tornado that sweeps the air clean again.

This morning I heard the director of "Loose Change" interviewed on the radio in a respectful way. The people who have insisted on asking the obvious questions are finally being taken seriously. No more dust storms generated to obscure our sight or muddy our thinking.

I believe they will get Blair out of there before next year, he is so completely discredited and Saturn just fell across his Sun blocking out his light completely. If he doesn't go soon he may not even have value to the Carlyle Group. Midnight is coming and their "coach" is beginning to show signs of turning into a pumpkin soon.

Peg, yes we will have to go down that karmic path, some are already on it and I do think it's all going to get worse before it gets better (remember when your mother used to say that "it will get worse and then it will get better") My focus however is not on the worse, it's on the better. Looking at what will get worse is like looking back on history, I want to move toward the better, be on that first string to do what I can to lift others out of this toxic place and attitude toward empowerment for all.

Several years ago I was going through a horrific time in my personal life and year after year it never seemed to end. I went day after day waiting for an end to the problems and pain and it didn't come, finally I just said "ok, this is where you are, how can you make the best of where you are today and don't worry about what's coming." Things didn't get better, but I did. That shift changed my life. So I don't worry about what is coming because something is, something is always coming, what are my strengths to deal with it and how can I help others in the same boat.

On his knees, Bush pins his hopes on fear

Michael Gawenda Herald Correspondent in Washington
September 9, 2006

AdvertisementGEORGE BUSH was fighting for his presidency this week as much as for the Republican members of Congress who face defeat at the mid-term congressional elections less than two months away.

In a series of speeches - and particularly his announcement that 14 alleged terrorist leaders, including Khalid Sheik Mohammed, said to be the chief architect of the September 11 attacks, had been moved from secret CIA prisons to Guantanamo Bay and would face military commissions - Mr Bush showed that even a president politically on his knees is still a force to be reckoned with.

No matter that the military commissions Mr Bush proposes are little different to the ones the Supreme Court ruled unconstitutional in June. Or that Mr Bush virtually admitted that the CIA had used what amounted to torture - in most reasonable definitions of the term - interrogating these alleged terrorists.

Sally, I think you are approaching the profound when you say "Things didn't get better, but I did." I think the big change in consciousness is just this--an inner shift, subtle in its manifestation, that is happening in individuals everywhere. This is what will raise the vibration of planet Earth. As astrologers looking at symbols, we often interpret things in pretty dramatic terms, but transits and so forth are often much more understated than I expect. As people begin to view the world from the changed perspective of "This is where I am, so how can I deal with it effectively and help others?" we will remove our attention from being victimized or seeking revenge, and this will be a revolution.

I was only two when Kennedy was shot, but I agree that that moment was a "win" for the side of darkness. Good to hear someone say they are about to feel a loss. But the Pluto in Capricorn period will be a long, painful lesson for them and us, I'm afraid, as we let go of our impulse to control and restrict and "go it alone." After that, hopefully in my lifetime, I'll get a little taste of that Aquarian humanitarianism writ large!

Posted by: Gaia on September 8, 2006 07:27 PM

Well... and perhaps it's only long & painful when one is holding on to an ego-centered "It's all mine the way I want it right now & nothing else will do 'reality,'" ...not centered in the Great Self. Then one could expect to be reasonably happy during the whole process... mebbe even joyful imo! Sure ain't been fun so far. ;O)

Sally

I have always thought that ll/22/63 was the turning point for America, and it has been downhill ever since.

Also, I can't see it ever rising to that point
again. We never really saw what America really is
until 9/11. Methinks each of us has realized that
there are too many people with cognitive dissonance, who will NEVER see the truth in my (our) lifetime. More's the pity. The problem with
them is that they want to tell us how to live. I
have managed to remove nearly all Republicans from
my circle. Just dropped them, I feel if they are
that bloody stupid I don't need them around me.
I am tired of faux patriots that wrap themselves in the flag, and have 'Support Our Troops' decals
on their SUVS. Screw them!

I am a LIBERAL and proud of it. Bring all of the
troops home from around the world and keep them
here. Use our billions to educate our children and
rebuild the infastructure. Suppport the Arts. Raise the standards of teaching staffs...God knows
they need it. Keep the water clean, promote solar
power with tax breaks for those who use it. Quit
paying idiots who choose the live on the coasts
taxpayer money after every hurricane. Clean up the
rivers, protect the forests and deserts. Repeal
whatever law made Corporations equal to humans.
Ban all lobbyists from having ANY connections to

Wonderful article Sally and I believe you are spot on correct with your analogy between the time when America had hope and when the dragons captured our Prince and ruled. All things, on this planet, come to an end, no exception. And the time has come for them to go. They could have done better by us and perhaps we might not have noticed how venal and corrupt they are. Bot greed and must for power became addictive and they had to feed their habit more and more.

There s something in the wind and people can feel it, though they don't quite know what their antennae are picking up. That is why the fear has been ramped up. Yet at the same time there are reports of changes, of Cheney and his henchmen being over-ruled. One has to ask why after all this time.

There is a sense of something coming. Because they don't know what it is, people are afraid. And it is said that most people would rather burn in hell than change. So change won't be easy, but a force that has been whirling around the planet, frustarted, for so long is about to break the sound barrier. Don't know the initial form it will take, or how long, but it's sure to be a fascinating ride. May the force be with JFK's legacy.

BYU Professor on Paid Leave for 9-11 Theory

September 8th, 2006 @ 6:59am
Gene Kennedy Reporting

A controversy over words at BYU this morning. According to a copyrighted Deseret Morning News article, a professor is on paid leave for suggesting the government is responsible for the destruction of the World Trade Center.

The man on paid leave is Dr. Steven Jones. He's a physics professor involved in the so-called "9-11 Truth Movement."

Jones believes unnamed government agencies orchestrated the fall of the twin towers and he says there's evidence to back it up.

Pope assails Canada's laws allowing same-sex marriage and abortion

VATICAN CITY (AP) - Pope Benedict hit out Friday at Canada for allowing same sex marriage and abortion, saying they result from Catholic politicians ignoring the values of their religion.

"In the name of tolerance your country has had to endure the folly of the redefinition of spouse, and in the name of freedom of choice it is confronted with the daily destruction of unborn children," the Pope told a group of bishops from Ontario.

Such laws, he said, are the result of "the exclusion of God from the public sphere."

He lamented that Catholic politicians had yielded to "ephemeral social trends and the spurious demands of opinion polls."

Benedict has made the defence of traditional family values a major goal of his papacy, speaking out often on the issue. During a trip to Spain in July, he challenged that country's Socialist government for instituting liberal reforms such as gay marriage and fast-track divorce.

Same-sex marriage was recognized by Canada's Parliament last year, but Prime Minister Stephen Harper has said there will be a vote in the House of Commons this fall to determine whether the issue should be revisited.

"Path to 9-11" is a very thinly veiled (now completely busted for what it really is) GOP campaign pre-election miniseries (this mini was always planned for this time, pre-election).

Not an hour ago, I did a chart for my friend who is a flower essence practitioner. Her beloved brother passed away in South Africa while sitting in the late afternoon in his back yard...he was or would have been 59 on Nov 22, 2006. He died August 9. Just 10 days before my friend's first grandchild was born on Aug 19.

She asked me to do a chart, and I don't have the birthtimes, as she doesn't know them, but I said....I think this is going to relate to the assassination of JFK.

And Sally, it does!!!! It blew my mind....my, the Universe is so powerful....

"...Such laws, he said, are the result of 'the exclusion of God from the public sphere.'..."

There, again, I guess "his hole-iness" just forgot to mention the fact or meant that his "hole-liness" church has excluded god from from his private sphere since they're paying out millions & millions (some estimate the bankruptcy of vatican treasury) for his priests popping their weiniers into the backsides of children for gosh-knows-how-long. But mebbe he thinks that's okay... after all, he's infallible.

Now THERE'S an old religio-geezer prancie-dancie skirt-wearin' female-hatin' patriarchal fascist corpo institution that needs to realize it's a whacko dustball & that it's time to GO!

Well..this could have been written today:
Abraham Lincoln

(Nov. 21, 1864 letter to Col. William F. Elkins)

I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country. As a result of the war, corporations have been enthroned, and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed. I feel at this moment more anxiety for the safety of my country than ever before, even in the midst of war.

Arthur Conan Doyle

A period of natural convulsions during which a large portion of the human race will perish. Earthquakes of great severity, enormous tidal waves would seem to be the agents. War appears only in the early stages and appears to be a signal for the crisis to follow. The crisis will come in an instant. The destruction and dislocation of civilized life will be beyond belief. There will be a short period of chaos followed by some reconstruction; the total period of upheavals will be roughly three years. The chief centers of disturbance will be the Eastern Mediterranean basin, where not less than five countries will entirely disappear. Also in the Atlantic there will be a rise of land which will be a cause of those waves which will bring about great disasters upon the Americans, the Irish and Western European shore, involving all of the low-lying British coasts. There are indicated further great upheavals in the southern Pacific and in the Japanese region. Mankind can be saved by returning to its spiritual values.

I wasn't present on this Earth when the Kennedys, King and other leaders for change and peace were murdered and taken away from the people by Those Who Shall Not Be Named (but should be). But I figured out at a fairly young age that certain men who passed and posed for our leaders in their stead were quite lame and ineffectual by comparison, if not outright destructive, and therefore unworthy of my respect. For me then, it was almost as if someone intended things to be this way, which I now see that they apparently do.

Most in that selfish, soulless band of thieves won't live long enough to see or come to understand (or care to understand) the real pain their greed and insecurities have caused for the up and coming generations, and those not yet born. The legacy of the Bush Family, Baker, Kissenger, Cheney, Rumsfeld and the Neocons, Rupert Murdoch, the Bilderbergs, Rockefellers, Rothschilds, Tony Blair, the Saudis, the Bankers, the Oil Men and everyone else in on this "game" is one of destruction, death, ongoing Depleted Uranium poisoning (for another 25 billion years), ruined countries, families split up and destroyed, fathers and mothers who will never return home again to their children, an environmental balance on the brink of going TILT, and so much more suffering.

All for a few, brief fleeting years of power and control.

For these, the real terrorists, their time can't end quickly and decisively enough for me.

The elephant in the room

Leader
Saturday September 9, 2006
The Guardian

Charles Clarke was never an enthusiast for a Gordon Brown premiership. Before the last contest in 1994, Mr Clarke - not even an MP but long at the heart of Labour affairs as adviser to the former leader, Neil Kinnock - wrote to the then shadow chancellor advising him not to run. Nonetheless it is hard to explain, let alone justify, his intemperate and explicit outburst in an interview given only hours after a fragile peace had been declared, attacking Mr Brown's conduct over the past week. It is perhaps understandable that a politician who had been in the thick of the last Labour civil war should condemn the sight of his party apparently enthusiastically returning to fratricide. But to blame Mr Brown in such explicit terms for failing to close down the revolt in the junior ranks of government and then to praise Alan Milburn as a potential leader was surely an act of deliberate provocation that achieved just what Mr Clarke claimed to condemn - fanning the flames of conflict. Although to most observers, it seemed like the frustrated rampaging of a political elephant still smarting from an unjust sacking, Mr Brown's camp believed (or chose to believe) that Mr Clarke was inspired by No 10.

Some astrological "prophesy" that I particularly enjoyed...

* ...The Sun, in the chart for the 21st C, is located in Saturn ruled Capricorn linked to the Moon by the fertile green line of a sextile aspect & to Saturn itself by the heavenly blue line of a trine aspect. Good news, because it compliments the fact that Earth, herself, mirrors the Sun by forming a fertile sextile to Saturn & a heavenly trine to the Moon. These fertile & heavenly aspects assure us that the 21st C is the century in which humanity as a whole will come to know of the ‘Golden Age’ of Saturn once again because Spirit (Sun) & Soul (Moon) will be recognized & experienced as lovingly inherent in the divinity of matter (Earth) & responsibly defined (Saturn) as fact. Mankind will no longer accept the fallacy of a transcendent male god but will experience the divine as immanent in & flowing thru all creation. All of matter will be known as sacred & alive, & the ‘fall’ from love & joy into suffering & pain will be healed. Guilt & shame will become honesty & openness, & without their draining presence the lion shall indeed lie down with the lamb.

I realize this sounds (& actually is) a bit … shall we say, Utopian. But it’s the best dream dwelling in the hearts of humankind & it yearns to come out & express itself. It wants to be realized. It’s the call of Spirit, & Spirit is the Love which conquers all. Besides, even Hollywood/Broadway know this is the time of the dawning of the Age of Aquarius. But dawning takes time, & our experience of time is often distorted thru the delusory tricks of the false Archon which masks the true force of Saturn. True Saturn knows time as the play of Eternity, & in the ‘Golden Age’ of Saturn--who is the ancient historical ruler of Aquarius as well as Capricorn--both telepathy & time travel are natural. As the Age of Aquarius slowly dawns upon us we will stumble again upon these True Saturn realities & reclaim our wearied souls, rejuvenate our fractured Spirit, experience the Divine in all that is human, earthly, unearthly, & natural. Fear will no longer rule our lives because we will have realized the ‘marriage of heaven & hell’ ... We will find our centers within the Holiness of the whole & recognize our collaboration as Spirits in Spirit. We’ll even be able to recognize & heal within ourselves the blind ignorance of Yahweh who will happily cease his pontificating babble as the chief CEO of the Corporate Goon Squad mouthing off about its ‘chosen people’ –-whether Christian, Catholic, Jewish, Islamic, or Buddhist. The only remaining hierarchy will be an Aquarian one wherein we shall all enjoy our collaboration as fluidly adaptable musketeers intoning together the Song of Spirit, “All for One, & One for All”! ... http://www.starpathvisions.com/SaintEscriva.html

* Jose Maria Escriva, The Cruel Kind Of Saint

“Blessed be pain. Loved be pain. Sanctified be pain. Glorified be pain. You know your body is your enemy & an enemy of God’s glory, why do you treat it softly?”

These cunning words, my friends, are the words of the Archons pouring forth from the mouth of that latest gift the corruptly usurped Authority of the Vatican has chosen to bestow upon the Humanity of the 21st C. It’s a gift straight from the mouth of Jose Maria Escriva canonized as an official Saint by the religion knowing itself as the ‘Holy Roman Catholic Church’ in this 21st C. Well might we ask ourselves, what hath (which) God wrought! Lingering shadows from the faithfully suffering Age of Pisces still stalk the dawning Age of Aquarius. Here’s our chance to explore them, & by exploring, dispel their darkness. ... http://www.starpathvisions.com/SaintEscriva.html

Great article, Sally. Who would have thought we could trace all this back to JFK's assassination but it does make perfect sense. The Kennedy brothers, no angels I'm sure, were true Democrats and humanitarians and got in "their" way.

wv, I loved your post. My husband and I did the same thing (especially Myron). As of 2000, he just could not be friendly to a Republican, and has made very few exceptions since (1 or 2?). He has turned off the sound or the radio anytime Bush is on. He refuses to acknowledge him.

I remembered something today. In the week before 9/11, the network news had a few reports about ben Lauden. I remember the picture of him with a turban, etc., calling him a dangerous terrorist. A few days later, we turned on the tv's at work and saw the Towers hit and I suddenly knew it was he did it and began telling that to everyone in my office . Now that I think about it, the news items on ben Lauden were probably a plant - the coincidence was too perfect. They wanted us to make the association and blame him.

Bill Herbst on upcoming transits: The Next Five Years

December 2005 to November 2006
Kicking off as a fixed Grand Cross during the Mars retrograde, this configuration is mainly a T-square between Saturn, Neptune, and Jupiter.

In May through July, 2006, the T-square heats up when Chiron replaces Neptune as a leg in the T-square, Pluto moves to the semi-sesquisquare stress point, and Jupiter trines Uranus. This was a temporary eruption that mani-
fested in one form through the Middle East conflict between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Then the original Jupiter-Saturn-Neptune T-square returns in August through November, while the Saturn-Neptune
opposition stretches out into and through much of 2007. The Israeli-Hezbollah eruption that boiled over so briefly returns to a simmer on the back burner. Collectively, we go back into a kind of uncomfortable limbo. This is akin to walking through the desert and seeing visions off in the distance. Are they real or just mirages?

The midterm Congressional elections in November are part of this confusing period. Whatever the results, the
significance will probably be less clear than hoped for by any political faction. The will of the electorate is likely to
remain dormant and shrouded, and the melodrama of politics will still be more heat than light.

August 2007 on
Saturn begins its four-year-long opposition to Uranus. Authority and the status quo are polarized by sudden change and confronted by rising energies of revolution and counterrevolution. Breakdowns in social institutions begin as the struggle takes shape. In America, foreign policy and domestic economics move to center stage finally.

The initial years of this on-again, off-again opposition occur with Saturn in Virgo and Uranus in Pisces, from mid-
2007 to mid-2009, and imply movement toward reform of the system (which will be too little and too late to succeed,
in my opinion).

Then, in 2010-2011, the opposition shifts into Libra-Aries, which is when collective crises hit more aggressively.
Authorities will likely strain to hold the line through increasingly draconian measures of civil control and social
repression, but mass rebellions bust out into the open in a flagrant and angry demand for radical and immediate
change.

Posted by: NEOBuckeye on September 9, 2006 04:32 AM

4 November 2008
Precisely on the day of America’s next presidential election, Saturn makes its first exact opposition to Uranus.
Expect the unexpected. The election could be a major surprise as a provocative challenge to the status quo.

August through November 2009
While Jupiter, Chiron, and Neptune are conjoined in Aquarius, a long T-square makes its first appearance with
Saturn opposite Uranus and both square Pluto, all in late degrees of mutable signs.

A dramatic acceleration of breakdown and tumultuous change gears up. To address the various crises and keep order
from disintegrating, 1st world societies will be forced to seriously consider adoption of ideas and implementation of
policies that were previously considered too extreme or too disruptive for ordinary business-as-usual. Suddenly, such ideas—both good ones and not-so-good ones—will no longer seem so far out.

February through September 2010
The Saturn-Uranus-Pluto T-square returns, becoming cardinal. From April 2010 on, Jupiter moves into the configu-
ration by conjoining Uranus.

The proverbial feces begins to hit the fan. Masses of people are shocked awake, which will carry with it the pan-
oramic complexities of positive and negative repercussions. “Normal” life will probably continue for some, but no
one will remain untouched by the events reshaping our world.

March through August 2011
The Jupiter-Saturn-Uranus-Pluto T-square returns a final time, as all the outer planets form a single grand configura-
tion, with Neptune and Chiron moving to the semi-sesquisquare stress point.

This alignment is extremely reminiscent of a similar rare configuration that occurred in mid-1931 during the lowest
depths of the Great Depression. Once again, our economic chickens come home to roost, which should be accompa-
nied by a re-localizing of life as communities band together.

Jupiter moves out of orb in April, 2011, but the Saturn-Uranus-Pluto T-square continues with all its extremism,
conflict, and unpredictability. In June-July 2011, a mini-trine between Jupiter, Neptune, and Pluto complements the T-square, which finally ends in August after two years.

Posted by: NEOBuckeye on September 9, 2006 04:36 AM

——-
All these astrological events—from 2005 through 2011—reveal to us the gradual, step-by-step setup to the long
Uranus-Pluto square that makes its first official pass (of seven total) in June, 2012, and will last through 2020. So,
from 2012 on, all bets are off as we enter Brave New World.

The key points that stood out to me -- the Election of 2006 not being so clear for one. Maybe the Dems only claim a simple majority in either the House or the Senate. Not enough to really get the ball rolling on a new agenda, though it might still be enough to open the books on the Bush Cabal.

-Looks like by the time we get around to reforming the system, there may not be much of a system left to reform. At least, not in any meaningful way. But you already knew that's going to be the case, right?

-A surprise win in the 2008 Presidential Race? Al Gore?

-The general trend seems to be towards increasing unrest and rebellion accompanying worsening social/economic conditions and the Pluto in Capricorn-driven Police State Crackdown, and towards an eventual dramatic awakening of the people.

-Relocalization of communities in 2010 and thereafter. Do you like where you are right now? If not, maybe it would be a good idea to seriously consider where you would like to live (and who you would like to live close to) in the next decade. You may be spending quite a bit of time there...

* Miami Journalists Outed for Taking Govt Cash

In the radio game, it's called payola. But the scheme whereby so-called journalists--a term that's losing its cultural capital by the sec--take money from the US ["govt"] to bash anything or anyone the current [regime] hates, well that's called propaganda. And the latest hacks to get caught up in it are 10 well-paid employees who are splitting time between their parent corpos, incl the Miami Herald itself, & [rez regime]. The target of their collective, handsomely rewarded vitriol? Who else? Castro. According to today's Miami Herald:

"At least 10 S Florida journalists, incl 3 from El Nuevo Herald, received regular payments from the US govt for programs on Radio Marti & TV Marti, two broadcasters aimed at undermining the communist govt of Fidel Castro. The payments totaled thousands of dollars over several years."

Those caught with their hand in the cookie jar incl Pablo Alfonso ($175,000), Olga Connor ($71,000) & Wilfredo Cancio Isla ($15,000), who parroted party-line propaganda for El Nuevo Herald, a Spanish-language newspaper financed & pub'd by the corpo parent of The Miami Herald, who have so far dismisssed the 3 offenders outright. Look for more heads to roll if the heat, pardon the pun, stays on. Of course, it's FL, so anything goes. Knowing that state, all of the offenders will probably land cushy jobs with Jeb Bush anyway. Yeaaa Lynda I finally got to read that article and the one on the NJ Girls. They were really good and the one on Bush very thought provoking.

How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. It's hard and I don't think too good an idea to look too far into the future because it can scare the bejeebers out of us and when the future gets here it usually isn't as bad as it seems.

Neo, if Gore runs I think he will win. Mercury was retrograde at 29 Libra in 2000 and in 2008 it's direct at 29 Libra. That would say "what was supposed to be will be." This election doesn't feel as good as I would hope, Uranus and Mercury are Retrograde, usually that's a stand for the status quo. And since CNN and ABC intends to scare the holy hell out of people going over 9/11, I am sure the tape of Bin Laden (for dramatic effect) being released right before 9/11 to show their pre-9/11 meeting will be shown as part of the day's programming. Finally George will dramatically be interrupting
regular programming to "talk" to the American people and I am sure to tell them to be very afraid. If this were a Monty Python movie the crescendo would be about now. Da da da da!!! Oh wait, it is a Monty Python movie.

Just in from Democratic party leader Tom McMahon:
This is it: crunch time for getting the slanderous ABC television docudrama "The Path to 9/11" yanked off the air. The network schedule has this slanderous attack on Democrats slated to start on Sunday night, September 10, at 8 o'clock -- and as long as it stays on the schedule, we have work to do. Tell your friends and family about this disgrace and ask them to push to keep this propaganda off the air:

http://www.democrats.org/pathto911/send

Posted by: on September 9, 2006 09:58 AM

Thought you might be interested in the rest of McMahon's letter:

Here's the good news: the suits at ABC and the Walt Disney Company have started panicking under pressure, thanks to your ferocious response to the outrageous decision to put this irresponsible miniseries on the air. But until Disney quits defending its plan to broadcast conservative propaganda -- fraudulently presented to Americans as "based on the 9/11 Commission Report" -- the company should plan to keep taking every bit of heat we dish out.

Here's a quick catch-up on developments over the last 48 hours:

President Clinton, through his attorney, rebuked ABC for producing a "factually and incontrovertibly inaccurate" miniseries -- and walked the network through three make-believe scenes in the "the Path to 9/11" that defame people and misrepresent events during his administration.
Clinton's spokesman later stepped up the pressure, condemning Disney as "despicable" for "airing a fictional version of what is a serious and emotional event for our country. No reputable organization," he said, "should dramatize 9-11 for a profit at the expense of the truth."
The families of September 11 victims have weighed in on the controversy, telling "entertainers" not to "promote misleading or incorrect information as fact to the public."
House and Senate Democratic leaders hammered Disney president and CEO Robert Iger, in letters that questioned the company's commitment to its "reputation ... as a corporation worthy of the trust of the American people and the United States Congress."
Scholastic has pulled teaching materials off its website and has scrambled to adopt a plan to help teachers show students "the differences between factual reporting and a dramatization," but is still encouraging teachers to show their students this propaganda.
Thanks for helping to make all this happen by joining over 150,000 Americans who told Disney president Robert Iger to keep this cheap right-wing miniseries off our airwaves. But our work isn't done. Before we deliver your letter today, tell your family, friends, neighbors and colleagues to insist that Disney and ABC live up to its duty to tell the truth:

Sally what a great article. It's been quite the week with so many sites trying to investigate who exactly and what money is behind the ABC/Disney propaganda crockodrama, or as Olbermann called it the Gop-u-drama. Thankfully a ton of pressure is being brought upon Scholastic over the PDF materials (they left out one important country, Saudia Arabia for starters) and teacher discussion guide page that was scrubbed from their site. Lots of talk about whether it's legal to have blatant campaign electioneering propaganda materials & movie based on fabrication and falsehood rightwing agenda indoctrinating our children.

The sites Think Progress, Democratic Underground, Firedoglake, Daily Kos, TMP Muckraker, and others were all over this story so hard all week, what a whirlwind. Matt Stoller from MyDD and Jennifer Nix (editor for Glenn Greenwald's book 'How Would A Patriot Act') started a central site to keep track of everything being uncovered called- Open Letter To ABC: Don't Airbrush 9/11

http://openlettertoabc.blogspot.com/

A couple of diaries at DU and Kos really caught our attention when they found more background on the cult like christian group of YWAM, their auxiliary The Film Institute (TFI), and their movie plans of "Untitled History Project". Our eyes rolled to see that founder Loren Cunningham is the father of the Path to 9/11 movie's director David Cunningham.

The wingers are still pooh poohing any connections. Yet Patricia Heaton one of the stars has an article on her site with a notice in her sidebar of Upcoming Projects with one named: Untitled History Project.
http://www.patriciaheatononline.com/pharticles2004/ABC_miniseries.html
Harvey Keitel another star was on CNN calling it ABC History Project. The winger excuses won't fly there either with such direct proof of absolute connections.

One of the best articles that came out yesterday was by Max Blumenthal at Huffington Post: "Discover the Secret Right-Wing Network Behind ABC's 9/11 Deception"

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/max-blumenthal/discover-the-secret-right_b_29015.html

I have a file full of collected notes and theories but must get to bed for now. Someone wrote this wise comment that I liked:

“One of the reasons 9/11 happened is that throughout the ’90s, the Right was more interested in going after Clinton than going after al Qaeda. This particular film and its attendant furor demonstrates that five years after 9/11, they are still more interested in going after Clinton than going after al Qaeda. ”

How do they determine how many are watching a TV station? Can I watch this travesty or will I contribute to the demigraphic numbers of people who watch? I would like to moniter it to see just how far afield they have strayed, if they go ahead with showing it & aren't backed down by the outcry! But I don't want to add to their head count.
Basically, weather permitting; I plan to spend 9/11 painting. Isn't the whole hoorah of revisiting; ( whether accutrate or not) just boosting the shrubs position?
It's been 5 years,............ it turned our lives upside down ...........TIME TO MOVE ON!

I find it quite ironic that living here in NYC where we experienced 911 'Live and In Person' have been MOVING ON since 9/12/01 and the rest of the world is still in the pit at Ground Zero. It seems that seeing it on TV kept an image in people's minds rather than experiencing the trauma live. There is something really sick in wantng to live out the violence of that day over and over again. The fascination makes me wonder. I am on the subway alot and see so many tourists getting off at the Fulton Street subway stop to go see a freaking empty lot. I see tacky , cheap, plastic souveniers and photos that are gobbled up by tourists who are exploiting death, destruction and violence. PLease STOP IT. It's not healthy. The crashing down of the WTC was not another Action film, it's is not fascinating. More, more = buying into the propaganda.

BTW, re Scholastic, these textbooks are planned a few years ahead, probably while the film was in pre production. My a$$ they did not know they were going to revise history. At least they will pull it. Scholastic is huge with many, many divisions. I do not think the textbook division is connected to the editors who do trade books (the books that get sold in bookstores or go to libraries + I know the Harry Potter editor) and can say that most publishing professionals I met are anti *. Bhakti you're right and right on as usual. I work for a book distributor that buys from pubs and sells to bookstores. Scholastic's textbook division is separate from its other mainstream divisions. In fact, the buyer at my work who has Scholastic as one of her accounts didn't even know about this whole thing until I forwarded a link about it from Daily Kos because it mentioned a possible boycott of Scholastic.

Also like you said these things are planned in advance--their ignorance plea is TOTAL BS. They got caught and got smacked and are desperate for an out.

There is nothing scarier than to see and hear the roaring army and Residential Air Force helicopters flying right over my building yesterday. I gave the heil Hitler salute while screaming FU. My heart goes out to all those in the ME who deal with this trauma 24/7. Especially children who cannot think straight, not able to do well in school from the fear.

"With All Deliberate Foot-Dragging"

We were certainly relieved that the Senate Intelligence Committee finally made official yesterday what pretty much everyone but President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney had already acknowledged: There never was any connection between Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda, not even between Mr. Hussein and the self-styled Qaeda leader in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

Iraq also was not busily trying to build a nuclear weapon before the war, nor did it have a biological weapons program.

Those conclusions were contained in documents released by the committee as part of the second phase of its investigation into the prewar intelligence on Iraq. Releasing any documents was a change of pace for the panel’s chairman, Senator Pat Roberts of Kansas, who has consistently tried to stymie this phase of the investigation.

Unfortunately, the documents — only two of the five parts of the final report — are beside the big point of this inquiry: Did Mr. Bush and his aides knowingly hype the intelligence on Iraq and deliberately mislead Americans into war?

YES. I was 6 when the war (the real one-II) ended. Tho NJ was never actually bombed or invaded, it was terrifying to a child to hear the airplanes, airraid sirens, etc. We didn't know a Nazi submanrine WOULDN'T SURFACE OFF OCEAN CITY , until the war was over & it HADN'T HAPPENED. The potential was there!

Scholastic's shift to " critical thinking about the material presented and focusing on "different points of view" is a good thing!
It would seem that the neocons & their brethern are just waiting for opportunities to sneak under the radar & do something dastardly like presenting the Path to 9/11.

If we take the Disney chart for the 9/11 "docu-drama" their birth data is Oct.16.1923 in Burbank, CA (N/T) things look pretty good for Disney. They are enjoying a grand water trine between their Pluto/Uranus and Jupiter and they are experiencing a Uranus return this year and a Jupiter return. I would expect them to create some powerful pieces welcomed by the public (Uranus sextiles the Moon) This little glitch they are having now with the Path to 9/11 came when Saturn was conjunct the Natal Neptune (problems grounding the dream into reality)Nonetheless, I expect things to fall into the lap of Disney, Michael Eisner was there when the Disney chart was experiencing great stress and Eisner took the fall for that and I think it was a well deserved fall.

Since this is a production of their ABC division, it would be the date Disney acquired them and that date is hard to pin down, all I can find is February, 1996 and that's a wide month to cover in order to pin down this issue. When Disney bought ABC, it was actually ABC/Capital Cities, who owned them from I think 1985 (Capital Cities was 1/10 the size of ABC) then Capital Cities sold to Disney in 1996. It's all pretty much an incestous chart with a lot of twists and turns.

Let them air it, there has been a good job done of putting doubt as to the validity of this program and pre-discredit of it's accuracy.

"Imagine Chiron's orbit piercing the ego-boundary of Saturn. It plunges into our reality like the comet that it is, often guiding, prodding or stunning us to awareness--always gently first, then in escalating degrees. Like Virgo & the 6th house, Chiron brings the message be here now. Stand in your true nature. Be who you are. Remember that you are part of nature & cannot escape from it. For those accustomed to living a life of escape & diversion, this is not always a pleasant message, but ultimately it both sets us free, & leaves us free to do what we came to the Earth to do. "

Palast, Pascarella Face Homeland Security Charges

by Zach Roberts

Yes, the rumor’s true. Greg Palast is facing a criminal complaint from the Department of Homeland Security stemming from his filming the Hurricane Katrina investigation for Link TV and Democracy Now. The film’s producer, Matt Pascarella, is also facing the legal wrath of Big Brother.

It appears the complaint is about filming a sensitive national security site owned by Exxon petroleum. It seems that photographing major Bush donors is now a federal offense.

Reached at an undisclosed location, Palast says, “Let’s not get over-excited. They haven’t measured us for our orange suits yet.”

During questioning by Homeland Security, Palast asked, “Hey, aren’t you supposed to be looking for Osama? Or for guys with exploding shoes? … We’re journalists.” At Palast’s request, Homeland Security confirmed that Louisiana is, indeed, still part of the USA but did not respond when asked if the First Amendment applies there.

Watch part one and part two of Palast/Pascarella’s film. (In association with BigNoise Films) BigNoise Videographer Jaqui Soohen has not been charged.

Thanks so much again to Sally for another great article, and to all who post. You all give me hope.

I have been wondering about November...quite a few planets in Scorpio...how do you (anyone) think
this will fare for Bush &Co.and the election? I think they have a bit of Scorpio in their charts...do you think it will strengthen or weaken(expose) them?

I was reading the Mother Shipton prophecy and was reminded of Dr. Begetch's books "Angels Don't Play This HAARP" and "Earth Rising" about gov't ability to "light up the sky" by catching the ionosphere on fire. Too too scary...

I am always apalled by this regime-machine's attitude of ownership of the planet even if it means destroying it completely.

Interesting posts of prophecy...the Mayan calendar determines Winter Solstice 2012 as the date of the arrival of The Age of Aquarius.I have also read that Venus crosses the Sun again in 2008, some see that as an indication of a woman in pres. office.

Blessings,and thanks again Sally.

Posted by: Raven on September 9, 2006 11:18 PM

Hi Raven, you are right it is scary. Venus crosses the sun again in 2012, won't that just add to the dramatics of 2012. The election worries me, the Dems have quite a few favorable aspects but there will be a Mercury retrograde and the Sun and Venus will be in a square to Neptune. More lies and dirty tricks. Uranus is also retrograde, with Mercury and Uranus retro there is a tendency to keep the status quo, so if that plays out that way in 2006 I'm sure not happy.

This is off subject and I'm sorry. I've been sick and not keeping up although I was very glad to see another article up by Sally. The Missouri senate race is predicted to be very close and so far I haven't seen anyone post anything about it. If anyone has time to run the charts: Missouri 8/10/1821 St. Charles, MO; Jim (no)Talent (R) 10/18/1956 St. Louis, MO; Claire McCaskill (D) 7/24/1953 Rolla, MO. No times on any of these. Anyone care to venture a prediction?

Posted by: Teresa on September 10, 2006 01:01 AM

Can we also hope that one day, one of the people tortured or otherwise hurt in some way by the Bush-Cheney-Rumsfeld Cabal gets to prosecute them?

Posted by: NEOBuckeye on September 10, 2006 02:38 AM

I'm not sure if this sounds far-fetched, or not, but the common thread I see running through the assassinations at that time, was anyone who was advocating civil rights, and equality for blacks - the Rev. Martin Luther King, President JFK, and his brother, Sen. Robert Kennedy; not to mention the smaller players who met their demise in various parts of the country, while championing the cause. Apparently, somebody, or bodies in high places felt threatened by this revolutionary movement that was sweeping the country.

Posted by: Crystal on September 10, 2006 03:15 AM

It seems to me that when it's said that the race(s) will be very close, it means that there's going to be voter fraud. Otherwise, I have no idea why nooz says the "elections will be close." One of the reasons I think that way is because bushaholic & company's approval ratings are in the low 30s. See? It makes no sense except that nooz is saying voter fraud is the order of the day without actually saying it. More than annoying, yes?

"They" are so, so frightened for the continued existence of their treasured status quo, way of life and doing business as usual, that they are fighting like mad to preserve it at any and all costs. The 911 Propaganda Movie is a perfect illustration of the lengths to which they will go.

What's so bad for them (and perhaps us too in some sense) is that they are only going to cause the revolutionary pressures to build to an even greater mass by supporting their own selfish interests while totally ignoring the struggles and suffering and decline in the quality of life for the average person.

When the pressure finally blows, it will totally overwhelm and destroy "what is now" more so than in any normal, more gradual process of change, and will probably force out into the open much if not all that they have so desperately worked to subvert, suppress and stop.

Woe to the Republicans if they do indeed retain control of both houses of Congress by their now standard -- yet still criminal -- methods of deception. If they fail to refrain from tampering with the people's will and desire for change in November 2006, I believe that they will find themselves, as a party, decisively routed and at the threshhold of permanent ruin in November 2008.

It seems to be going around and, weirdly, not only here in Phoenix and Tucson but I just heard from my son in Sydney, Australia, that it's going around there too... that's weird. I wonder what makes these bugs circulate so easily? Perhaps this Saturn-Neptune thing is weakening people's systems or it's the Mars, Nodes, Pluto thing going on...

Lynda, no stomach bug, just a severe head cold and chest congestion. Took me completely by surprise.

JoannaO: I don't know what the truth of the closeness of the race is. McCaskill was very narrowly defeated for governor in 2004 and it looks like she's going to really have to fight for the senate in 06. Talent has some very well done ads playing on tv but I haven't seen much of hers. McCaskill has a Leo sun and Capricorn moon just like the state of Missouri but apparently that isn't enough.

Teresa, the time for MO is 1:10pm, this time and your date was when and where Missouri was first admitted into the Union in St. Louis, then in 1825 Jefferson City was established as the Capital. It will be neck and neck, the state actually like Talent and he will be getting a boost to his Jupiter from transiting Jupiter, his Venus/Jupiter in Virgo not only are in the sign of MO. Venus, but they fall in the MO midheaven. They see him as a leader fro their state. What is the most interesting however is McCaskill's Sun, while not conjunct, is still in Leo the same sign as MO's Sun and both the person and the state have a Capricorn Moon, so they understand and resonate to her too. The other interesting thing happening is the Sept. 22 Eclipse, at 29 Virgo, it falls across the Virgo/Pisces axis and that will conj. MO's Pluto (29 Pisces) square their Mars (29 Gemini) and square their Uranus (29 Sagittarius) that should certainly shift something in the mighty MO, it also sextiles Talent's NN (29 Scorpio) That 29 degree Eclipse will mean the end of something, that's for sure.

I don't like the fact that Talent (who I cannot stand personally) has transiting Pluto sextile his Sun and that's power or the opportunity for power. It will be close with MO very confused right now (T-Neptune is oppose their Sun and Saturn is Conj.) they just don't know whether to take a chance for something new or keep the status quo. Also with MO Sun at 17 Leo being opposed by T-Neptune and Election Day Venus and retrograde Mercury this state feeds right into election fraud this year or possibly ground zero for election fraud, an Ohio type situation. Missouri is a really important state this year for both Dems and GOP, the GOP have to keep MO.

Take care of yourself, lots of stuff making the rounds.

* Top [UK] soldier quits as blundering campaign turns into 'pointless' war

THE former aide-de-camp to the commander of the British taskforce in southern Afghanistan has described the campaign in Helmand province as “a textbook case of how to screw up a counter-insurgency”. “Having a big old fight is pointless & just making things worse,” said Capt Leo Docherty, of the Scots Guards, who became so disillusioned that he quit the army last month.

“All those people whose homes have been destroyed & sons killed are going to turn against the British,” he said. “It’s a pretty clear equation—-if people are losing homes & poppy fields, they will go & fight. I certainly would. “We’ve been grotesquely clumsy-—we’ve said we’ll be different to the Americans who were bombing & strafing villages, then behaved exactly like them.” ... http://www.timesonline.co.uk/newspaper/0,,2761-2350795,00.html

* Bush the Pitiful

People are beginning to feel sorry for gwbush. And with good reason. A new poll by Harris Interactive published in the Financial Times reveals that our traditional European allies regard the US as a much greater threat to world stability than Iran, Iraq, & N Korea.

In European opinion, the axis of evil is bush’s America. Almost twice as many British, whose PM tblair is complicit in bush’s war crimes in Afghanistan/Iraq, see the US as the greatest threat to world stability than see Iran as the danger. In Spain 3x more people regard the US as the threat than see Iran as the threat. Only in Italy does Iran edge out the US as the greatest perceived threat, a result no doubt due to the propaganda that spews from the media empire of Silvio Berlusconi, the Rupert Murdoch of Italy.

Another reason to feel sorry for bush is because he is regarded by his own pol party & his own AG as a war criminal. Republicans recognize that bush has committed felonies by violating the US War Crimes Act of 1996 (lege aimed at the likes of Saddam Hussein & Slobodan Milosevic). Bush’s AG, Alberto Gonzales, & the Republican Congress have produced draft lege that aims to protect bush retroactively by gutting the 1996 War Crimes Act. Republicans hope to quietly pass this unconstitutional lege before they are defeated in the Nov elections. The fact that retroactive law is prohibited by the US Constitution adds to bush’s shame. ... http://www.antiwar.com/roberts/?articleid=9675

Steve Judd...

9.6 Sept - With Ceres, the asteroid associated with food, nurturing & maternal protection strongly involved in the ongoing Saturn/Neptune opposition, I draw comfort from the words yesterday of Jamie Oliver. I don’t do celebrity chefs, they’re just the latest product of the media monster, but he did make me laugh yesterday. No more ‘you must give your child salad & fruit every day’ or ‘limit your children’s sugar intake to avoid obesity’. No, he said ‘If you give your kids fizzy drinks you’re an axxxxxxe, if you give your kids crisps you’re an idiot & if you let them drink Rxd Bxxl (a popular British fizzy drink that gives you ‘wings’) you might as well give them a line of coke’. I love plain speaking, even when it's constructively critical.

9.4 Sept - Interesting how the world changes in 2 yrs. In Oct 2004 I posted almost word for word my opinion on 9/11 the same as yesterday, & rec'd 20 or so replies castigating me. This time I’ve received two criticisms, with a number of compliments thanking me for speaking my opinion. It seems the world has either become more cynical, or else more acceptant of the spin/deceit which our govts have perpetrated. Until there is a perceived openness about 9/11 & 7/7 there will always be suspicion that it was an inside job. Meantime, more soldiers will die along with innocent civilians & children, in order to keep the world a ‘free’ place & to ensure the oil keeps running... http://www.stevejudd.com/home.html

Neptune is in a trine to Bush's Moon and Jupiter and a trine to his Uranus, Neptune nicely affords him the cover to their agenda. There isn't anything to do about the "poor baby" pity people are feeling for him except keep a list of what he's done to this country as your reasons for being angry.

For some odd reason, it's a known fact that people will go back to their abuser for support. If you're beaten (and we have been) the people in the US now want GWB to like them. Sick isn't it.

Has anyone looked at the numerological or magickal meanings of the dates of these big terrorist events? 9-11 in New York, 3-11 in Spain, and 7-7 in London? It seems to me there is a pattern of usage of some very strong numbers.

I have this quirky theory I don't often share that this administration is using an old
form of, shall we say, "practice". I also suspect they are very aware of astrological patterns themselves and use them to their benefit. In a world where anything is possible....?

This paragraph was in that Russert interview posted by P... I noted the interesting Freudian "typo" where it calls cheney the "ice president" instead of "vice president." Reminds me of the Iceman Cometh, a play written by Eugene O'Neill in 1939 where the more the husband's wife becomes hot, firey & angry (scorpionic) over the mistreatment she suffered at his hand, the icier & dissociated/psychopathic her husband became (aquarian) until he finally... you know, does her in. Seems to me it could've gone either way while 1:1, but ice man (aquarian) cheney pits itself against the world's tens of millions... bad odds for him.

* War turns southern women away from GOP

MACON, Ga. [bushaDisintegrating]'s once-solid relationship with Southern women is on the rocks. "I think history will show him to be the worst [rez] since Ulysses S Grant," said Barbara Knight, a self-described ["republic"] since birth & the mother of 3. "He's been an embarrassment."

In the heart of Dixie, comparisons to [drunkie] Grant, a symbol of the Union, are the worst sort of insult, esp from a Macon woman who voted for bush in 2000 but turned away in 2004. ... http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060907/ap_on_re_us/southern_women

Well everyone, reporting from Occupied Brooklyn the Tush is here in NYC, got here about 30 min ago with enough fanfare to get your hairs to stand on end. Police helicopters circled over NYC harbor for about 20 min prior. Got my binoculars. The 'knowing' of the sounds of the air traffic got me set up in plenty of time. Then I saw two big helicopters, their noise was deafing, fly into the heliport at the tip of Manhattan on the East River side.
Then it got so peaceful and calm in the gardens behind my apt, many orange and black butterflies flying gracefully all over, felt like an sweet omen.
Then the burst of engines gearing up and omg about 6 army helicopters flew directly overhead, one went right over my home. Kept mouthing many times to them !@$#@%#^$&*^()>>>>>GW!!!!!!!!! Better fly on outta here,Brooklyn doesn't want you.

Wonder who flew in here on Thurs around 1pm withe the same fanfare??????

62,006 - The Number Killed in the 'War on Terror'

http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/091006A.shtml

The "war on terror" - and by terrorists - has directly killed a minimum of 62,006 people, created 4.5 million refugees and cost the US more than the sum needed to pay off the debts of every poor nation on earth. If estimates of other, unquantified, deaths - of insurgents, the Iraq military during the 2003 invasion, those not recorded individually by Western media, and those dying from wounds - are included, then the toll could reach as high as 180,000.

Thanks for the get well wishes. I'm starting to feel human again. Thanks, Sally, for the analysis of McCaskill/Talent. No one around here seems to think that election fraud can happen here. But I remember the hissy fit that Kit Bond threw back in 2000 when St. Louis wanted to keep its polls open a little longer in order to let people in line vote. They had been waiting for hours and there weren't enough machines. The court stepped in and closed the polls. And Jackson County, the county I live in, is going with the paperless machines this year.

Joanna...thanks for posting the O'Neill/IceMan Cometh comments...I saw Jason Robards in the play in NYC in 1985 or 86....5 hours long! Or at least it seemed that way. Proved to be prophetic in my life...

support the Dixie Chicks....they shall take the south again, so those Southern women will be rising once again....Neil Young sang 'Southern Man' for another era and the Dixie Chicks stand up for us now:

Not Ready to Make Nice (Lyrics)

Forgive, sounds good.
Forget, I'm not sure I could.
They say time heals everything,
But I'm still waiting

I'm through, with doubt,
There's nothing left for me to figure out,
I've paid a price, and i'll keep paying

I'm not ready to make nice,
I'm not ready to back down,
I'm still mad as hell
And I don't have time
To go round and round and round
It's too late to make it right
I probably wouldn't if I could
Cause I'm mad as hell
Can't bring myself to do what it is
You think I should

I know you said
Why can't you just get over it,
It turned my whole world around
and i kind of like it

I made by bed, and I sleep like a baby,
With no regrets and I don't mind saying,
It's a sad sad story
That a mother will teach her daughter
that she ought to hate a perfect stranger.
And how in the world
Can the words that I said
Send somebody so over the edge
That they'd write me a letter
Saying that I better shut up and sing
Or my life will be over

I'm not ready to make nice,
I'm not ready to back down,
I'm still mad as hell
And I don't have time
To go round and round and round
It's too late to make it right
I probably wouldn't if I could
Cause I'm mad as hell
Can't bring myself to do what it is
You think I should

I'm not ready to make nice,
I'm not ready to back down,
I'm still mad as hell
And I don't have time
To go round and round and round
It's too late to make it right
I probably wouldn't if I could
Cause I'm mad as hell
Can't bring myself to do what it is
You think I should

Forgive, sounds good.

They say time heals everything,
But I'm still waiting

Ugly Season
by BooMan
Sun Sep 10th, 2006 at 05:36:45 PM EST

Via Andrew Sullivan:

Next week, I'm informed via troubled White House sources, will see the full unveiling of Karl Rove's fall election strategy. He's intending to line up 9/11 families to accuse McCain, Warner and Graham of delaying justice for the perpetrators of that atrocity, because they want to uphold the ancient judicial traditions of the U.S. military and abide by the Constitution. He will use the families as an argument for legalizing torture, setting up kangaroo courts for military prisoners, and giving war crime impunity for his own aides and cronies. This is his "Hail Mary" move for November; it's brutally exploitative of 9/11; it's pure partisanship; and it's designed to enable an untrammeled executive. Decent Republicans, Independents and Democrats must do all they can to expose and resist this latest descent into political thuggery.
We always said it would be ugly.

Teresa, I see where Clinton was in the state to raise funds for McCaskill and campaign for her. How is Talent doing there? I actually question his win over Carnahan (sp?) I don't think he did. Like I said Missouri has election fraud written all over it, or an earthquake. Something for the state is ready to shake them up. What has been going on in MO the last several months? I was curious as to what if anything happened when the NN went over the state's Mars/Uranus/Pluto T-square in June and then Mars went over it just a few days ago. Have you noticed anything?

Posted by: Sally on September 11, 2006 06:51 AM

I watched Path to 911 tonight, mainly because I wanted to see if and how well the scenes in questions were edited. I have to say that it was really well made and that it gave a good amount of credit to the Clinton Administration in the way it handled the situation after the first bombing of the WTC in '93 and thereafter, ending in the capture of a few of the dangerous Al Qaida people.

I saw a few problems:
- unnecessary mention twice of Clinton's episode with Lewinsky (including "I did not have sex with that woman" which had nothing to do with the plot and I don't think people would have thought about it)
- emphasis on how legal procedure and/or authorization from the higher ups could get in the way of capturing these people, although the FBI & justice dept. seemed to do pretty well with the system the way it was before 911

I wonder if it will give a boost to the Repubs. It might a little.

Let's see what comes down tomorrow night. Tonight concentrated on what happened between '93 and 9/11 and ended with the very beginning of the first flight being hyjacked on 9/11.

11 September - My g'daughter has just finished staying with us. Her mother is a combination of Dutch/English (me), but I’m a mixture of Irish, English & Scandinavian. Her father’s Chilean, but his heritage is a combination of Norwegian, Spanish & Lebanese. In this multinational world, questions of ethnicity are fast becoming redundant & being replaced by questions of humanity. Once the posturing/swagger of the old men who think they run the world is ignored, it’s still a beautiful planet, one that should be protected against war, religion & bigotry so that our descendants can enjoy a symbiosis with nature, surely the birthright, along with clean food & water, of every human being. http://www.stevejudd.com/home.html

Lovi,

from what I've heard, and Card (Bush's chief of staff or something at the time) said this himself he said "the country is under attack". That makes his stunned silent inaction even worse. The first instinctual reaction is fight or flight. I can't imagine anyone sitting quietly after hearing those words. I've always thought his reaction was that he literally froze in fear.

"Sunday Night Football on NBC nearly double
both ABC and CBS's 9-11 programs..."

Some things just never change. The Manning brothers were playing against each other last night, what did they expect. I heard on the news today that the BBC said ABC chose fantasy over fact and entertainment over substance and that the American people deserved better. I thought, no we don't, we have been exchanging fantasy over fact and entertainment over substance for so long we just don't know the difference and if a football game comes along that will absolutely take first place. Too funny. And I think there is football tonight somewhere or do they not do Monday night football any more?

I didn't watch it because the trailers were terrible and then I heard it was inaccurate so I cleaned out a very messy desk instead. Glad you did watch it Sharon and can give some interesting feedback.

I think the people do have a right to the truth. I think they have a right to healthcare, and an honest press, and protection from criminals, including those who push legal and illegal drugs on them through propaganda and supply. People respond to truth, as we have seen in decades past.

Garbage in, garbage out. The masses are taught.

Not everyone is geared to lead. In fact most people are geared to follow. The crime comes in not leading from a humane center.

Posted by: Pat C on September 11, 2006 05:10 PM

Sally, over the summer, most of the state has been in a significant drought which has only recently ended. In July, St. Louis got hit with a very powerful storm that took many by surprise. Power was knocked out during the height of the 100+ temperature heat wave. On July 1, the new drivers' license law went into effect. Missourians now have to show the paper trail of birth certificates, marriage licenses, and divorce papers in order to get a drivers' license. Not too much outcry on this. The ACLU has filed a challenge to the voter ID law and a federal appeals court has told our toddler governor that his Medicaid law is unreasonable when it comes to not providing medical equipment like catheters and wheelchair batteries to the poor. If there is anything major politically brewing it has not yet become apparent. Most of the attention in the midwest has been on Kansas and its nutcase of an attorney general. As for earthquakes, New Madrid has been fairly quiet.

Posted by: Lovi on September 11, 2006 05:48 PM

JoO, I love your nicknames for the fools on the hill; such fun... they brighten my day :)

And Lovi, I totally agree - why didn't they whisk him away? why did he just sit there? it's not like it was an important meeting he was in or anything (and what could be more important than the country being under attack?)

However, I wonder how they could cover their trails so well and how no one comes forward to spill the beans. It's a bit of a mystery to me... surely someone would want to talk, and they can't murder every single person who's privy to what happened.... it does give me pause for thought, but I'm pretty convinced it was an inside job. I even wonder if Osama Bin Laden was paid for being the fall guy - his not being found is completely unbelievable - they can read what you're reading from a telescope for goodness sake!

So, like many other people for sure, I'm quite confused... but sure as eggs they're in it up to their necks.

Jr sits in classroom for 30 minutes after the attack.

Cheney was in the WH for 3 hours after the Pentagon got hit.

The Bin Laden family was allowed to leave the country.

All hijackers were from Saudi Arabia.

The Bush's, Cheneys, and who knows who else has ties in Saudi Arabia that go back nearly a century.

Bin Laden, a 6'6" tall arab on dialysis can't be found????

Enron, Taliban, oil pipeline deal gone bad. Afghanistan.

Saddam. Iraq. Israel. Iran.

Is it obvious or what?

Posted by: Cybear on September 11, 2006 06:30 PM

Hi Cybear

Sure, it's completely obvious, I'm not questioning those things - and more, there's far more - I'm wondering how no one comes forward... it's weird... that's what I was bringing up.

David Kelly, who said there were no WMD, found dead from 'suicide' - sure! He didn't commit suicide - but that is brushed away....

so many things, but there must be so many people who must 'know' things... it's just weird.

Posted by: Lynda Hill on September 11, 2006 06:38 PM

Sally,
That Taurus 20 that you bring up has an interesting Sabian Symbol: Taurus 21: A Finger Pointing to a Line in an Open Book...

The Pet Goat perhaps? ;)

I was just rather amused by the comments on Gore Vidal's piece on informationclearinghouse.info
as some brought up that book and someone posted an excerpt from it... it would be hilarious if it wasn't so serious!!

A Finger Pointing to a Line in an Open Book - an interesting Symbol to ponder.

Here's an excerpt from my book 360 Degrees of Wisdom -

Oracle: In your situation, something needs to be researched, or looked up, in order to ‘Point To’ what is relevant and what is not. When you realize what the ‘Significant Passages’ are, the solution will become clear. Even if you feel you already know all about it (like you have read the book) there is more information to be gleaned by going carefully through what’s in front of you, missing nothing. Fine details may have been overlooked or not considered. Perhaps you need to check them out. However, do be discriminating about what really is ‘Significant’ and useful. Be wary of relying purely on the written word. Strict applications of the written word can lead to a lack of innovation and fundamentalism. Going by the ‘Book’ or the rules can be useful and all to the good, but information is often best applied to inspire creative and spontaneous solutions. Someone may be mentally or emotionally “keeping a book” of the things that have happened or have been done by others. If things are not quite right at the moment, maybe you need to read, or pay attention to, any instructions or lessons more carefully. Read the fine print and look carefully at any conclusions or contracts. Also, solutions can be found by flipping open a ‘Book’ and placing a finger on a line or paragraph. This can lead to amazing insights into just what is bothering you.

Keywords: Finding the essential details of a situation and disregarding the rest. The cursor on the computer screen. Reading and writing books. Keeping records. Instruction manuals. Lawyers and the law. Editing. Reviewing. Reference books. Reading the Oracle. Memories. Quoting scripture. Testimony. Rules.

The Caution: Doing things because they need to be done and only going by the rules of the book. Automated responses. Religious fundamentalism. Only doing those things that are officially sanctioned. Not observing the entire picture. Keeping tallies. Flaunting the rules.

When someone in Europe asked Bush what he did on 9/11 and why he didn't rush back to DC he said it was because he was "getting out of harms way"

He made one tiny comment which he read from a note and then disappeared to zigzag his way to DC via the long way. He didn't get to DC until after 7pm that night and they still had to drag his *ss out of bed at 11:00 pm when there was another scare. He went to bed at his usual time and actually slept. It must that clear conscious he has, knowing God is happy with him.

Lunaoscura, or he was dead drunk.

Lynda, Sometime in July or early August I posted some stuff from an online source quoting Woodrow Wilson....from his bio, I think. He said that prominent men had found their ways to his office only to whisper in his ear their fears of being 'done in' by the powers that ran everything in this country....and beyond...if they didn't do what was being asked of them. Shaken up, they were..

That was a century ago, I don't know that anything has changed....in fact, it has probably gotten even more dangerous to dissent or bring up things. It was pretty obvious to all of us that David Kelley didn't commit suicide. And the list of hard hitting journalists who died mysterious 'suicide' deaths is long. Just two years ago Gary Webb shot himself in the head twice with his own gun....he was the one who exposed the CIA/narco connections and lost his career because of it. Yeh...twice with his own gun?

Posted by: judiGem on September 11, 2006 07:31 PM

from the link to Gore Vidal article, in the comments...connect the dots....?

AS for the 9/11, 11 is also a master number of enlightment, so you could conjure easily some more facts with that date, if you like playing numbers:

September 11th, 1922: The League of Nations signed a post-Balfour declaration regarding the Future creation of a Zionist state;
The same group responsible for this declaration, eventually created the Council on Foreign Relations, thus one of the many connections to Dulles in relation to 9-11. To this day, the Council on Foreign Relations has influence over all of our political, media, and economic variables.

September 11th, 1941: Ground was broken on the Pentagon- noting that it was destroyed exactly 60 years to the day later.

September 11th, 1971: construction began on both the North and South Tower. Noting that the Twin Towers were destroyed 30 years to the day after their birth.

September 11th, 1973: After Kissinger’s Operation Condor set the scene, the CIA sponsored one of many coups, specifically wherein Augusto Pinochet used planes and missiles to overthrow democratically elected Salvadore Allende in Chile…

September 11th, 1991: The Infamous GHWB New World Order Speech, 11 years to the day before 9-11

September 11th, 1998: Kenneth Starr, nephew of AIG founder C.V. Starr, sends his infamous report on Bill Clinton to Congress…

September 11th, 2005: the State of Israel declares an end to their occupation of the Gaza Strip, also relating back to the September 11th 1922 root cause event. All of these events are Council on Foreign Relations activities…

Posted by: judigem on September 11, 2006 07:56 PM

Lynda, you bring up an interesting point-how could everything be kept secret? I don't know.
I started wondering how long the Gulf of Tonkin deceit was covered up. And most of us think that there are elements of the Kennedy (JFK) assassination that have never met the light.
I don't know but I am pretty sure that guys who could not land a Cessna could not fly those planes into Manhatten and crash them exactly into the buildings they wanted to.
I do know though that there are many bodies not just the ones that made the headlines. and in reference to GHWB'S New World Order-I first heard him using that term as the bombers flew over Iraq "carpet bombing" and Bush the Elder was on the TV talking about a "New World Order". I kept jumping up and down yelling at my family"what does that mean? "New World Order" he keeps saying that what does he mean?" Of course no one had an answer.

JudiGem, Of course (slaps head for being a dunce)! he had all that time on Airforce 1 and I'm sure it's well stocked! He didn't even have Laura around to make sure he didn't have a few.

clymela, The stuff they did isn't a secret if we know about it. We haven't been making anything up. We've been informed about all the criminal garbage they do through the internet, through literally hundreds of reliable sources, through books written by government insiders like Richard Clarke and through professionals like Scott Ritter. The MSM haven't picked any of it up and have actively disseminated the lies instead. Anyone who truly wants the truth can get it. We have.

When the towers fell, Saturn was in Gemini -- and the WTC was in its first Saturn Return. I was always spooked by the resonance of the twin towers going down under the influence of Saturn/Gemini, and felt that this was the loudest of the explosions of the Saturn/Pluto era we were in at the time. Interesting that the Pentagon was in its second return at the time as well. Hmmm...

I've got to say that as a New Yorker, I'm having a difficult time today. The memories are still very fresh, hearing the plane over my building, knowing that my close friend was on the 72nd floor of tower 2, watching the towers collapse from my street. The scent of burning in the air for months and months, the absolute fear that enveloped the city. I've had on the CNN Pipeline coverage from the day of the event all day. I miss Aaron Brown -- what did they do with him? He was my rock during those difficult months. Like a warm TV Daddy -- I could never get behind Guiliani even when he became "America's Mayor" -- yuck.

Anyway, having seen the event live and in person, I must say that some of the conspiracy theories on the web are a little infuriating. My feeling is that Bushco were complicit -- they knew it was coming and they sat back and let NYC take the hit for them (who needs a bunch of people of color, artists and gays anyway, they figured). Despite the great evils of the administration, actual hijackers, terrorists with jihad on their minds, got onto planes and used them as missles. Bush may have known it was planned for that day and sat through My Pet Goat with a fake stunned expression, but he didn't send unmanned drones into the towers and have his people plant bombs in the basement. People that witnessed it close up have told me that there were no bombs -- they heard explosions coming from the point of entry of the planes, and then cars exploding later on in the day, mainly set on fire. It was fire that brought it down, even though I want Bush impeached immmediately, I don't think they did this one.

Posted by: Stefanie on September 11, 2006 09:12 PM

Stephanie,

I don't think there were demolition explosions either. If you watch a real one there is always a series of explosions on every floor and the building caves first and the roof falls as everything under it disintegrates. And you can see it happening because the dust comes up from the ground as the floors pancake on top of each other. The film of Building 7 is a controlled demolition. There was nothing at all like that with the WTC.

But I think they knew about it and maybe even were complicit. Why else point fingers away from the fact that the terrorists were mostly Saudis? That lie is there for a reason. It's like they're telling the world where to look, away from the real evidence. It's not so strange how they came up with all the 19 terrorists in so short a time.

Posted by: lunaoscura on September 11, 2006 09:40 PM

Lunaoscura,

I think they knew it was going to happen and allowed it to go forward, but I don't think they had a hand in the planning. Bush's numbers were down and they needed a Pearl Harbor to go forward with plans to attack Iraq. This attack planned by Al Queda was a great opportunity for them. I just worry when some of the far-out conspiracy theories, like drones and bombs, are passed around as fact. That sort of thing is akin to the rumor that all the Israelis in the building got a call the night before and didn't report to work the next day. A lot of people seem to believe this nonsense and it's difficult to analyze the more reasonable theories when that kind of total crap is thrown around. I know at least three Israelis (and a bunch of plain old Jews) that were in the building -- a lot of them died. Rational, thinking people on the left of the spectrum need to be careful about whom we align ourselves with, or else our very valid criticisms won't be taken seriously, and that kind of scares me. You know what I'm saying?

In watching this coverage from the day-of, they keep talking about fires and debris having fallen on 7 World Trade, so I think it's very possible that it could have collapsed later in the day. I remember people talking about it that day as well, people coming up from the area (strangers on the street) and then my friend who was down there saying they thought more buildings were going to go down because huge parts of the plane had fallen all over the place and were burning on top of buildings and on sidewalks. There was a large debris field, and the planes were going extremely, extremely fast.

Posted by: on September 11, 2006 09:56 PM

Also wanted to say, as for the terrorists learning how to fly the planes -- it was always a concern of mine and I never understood it until a friend with knowledge of aviation explained it to me. He said that the routes were extremely simple -- espeically toward the WTC. All they had to do was follow along the Hudson River and make a quick turn. It was a simple maneuver, and people that saw the planes over the city said that whomever was flying them did NOT have a steady hand at all -- they were dipping and bobbing all over the place like a child was in the cockpit.

Posted by: on September 11, 2006 10:04 PM

My memory of 7 World Trade coming down later in the afternoon was just confirmed by Aaron Brown on the eerie day-of coverage that I can't stop watching right now. He said thank god that we had some warning today about this one coming down, the emergency personnel saw hours ago that it was gonna go, so at least they were able to get everyone out of harm's way. I'm not sure what the theory about bombs in that building is all about -- just from the video of it pancaking, or do people claim other evidence?

MSNBC did a similar thing this morning with day-of coverage, but they had it actually on the channel, not streaming from their website. I'm sure that it's not good for my psyche to take all of this in, but it's hard to turn away.

Lynda, your first link was to conspiracypenpal site of Edgar Steele. Unfortunately, he is antisemetic and racist. If that doesn't come across in this article, then follow the link to "Holy Holocaust." It is not just the Israeli government that he is against. Hate and anger come through in much of what he writes.

I didn't write the post at 11:07 (haven't looked at the link yet) but that's just what I fear about the consipiracy sites -- much of the information is poorly researched and one small step away from crazy (read: racist). I am a humble servant in search of truth, but there are NUTS all over the Internet, and it is our duty as thoughtful people interested in social change to separate the wheat from the chaff.

Hi Lynda,
Hope you're loving Arizona. Thought the land in Pheonix felt very goddessy. The desert was once an ancient ocean floor. Looks like it. Natal asteroid Arizona conjunct my Sun/MC/Merc. I went there to teach!

Taurus 21 is my Part of Fortune in the 2H. I use my own picturebooks to teach the process of writing and painting them. What is the underlying theme behind my paintings and what to look out for in a manuscript for one's illustrations. Besides, with that Taurus in the 2H, I make money at it too :-)

I stayed away from listening to any TV today re the 911 except I thought to put on a goofy TV sitcom rerun and saw the news cameras in my neighborhood by the firehouse, the one with a big huge CROSS on the twin towers in the painting on the firehouse's front metal gate. No Star of David, no Ying Yang symbol, no Moon and Star, no OM symbol. Got turned off. The * helicopters flying over my home was scary enough. I feel angry today, 5 years later we are in the same place: getting played.

I agree, Stephanie - it's hard to know what to trust out there...

In recent years, Neptune has passed over Aquarius 16: The Big Businessman at His Desk and Aquarius 17: A Watchdog Standing Guard Protecting His Master and His Possessions and Aquarius 18: A Man Unmasked at a Masquerade.

All of this is fuel for the fire of conspiracy theories, and, of course, being led by the nose by those behind the desks at the White House.

I still hope, possibly naively, that GWB and his cronies will be exposed when Neptune makes it's last pass over the Man Being Unmasked at a Masquerade... not holding my breath, mind you!

Hi Bakti
I'm in Tucson at the moment, I prefer it here to Phoenix as it's a little less hot and there's less concrete. I've been here a lot (more than 30 times) and always enjoy it.

Regarding the cross of 9/11: Mars on the day of the attack was on Capricorn 2: Three Stained Glass Windows in a Cathedral, One is Damaged by Bombardment.

Interestingly, from memory I may not remember exactly, the church right next door to the WTC was Trinity Church and it was spared any real damage in the attack (3 Stained Glass Windows in a Cathedral)...

The thing that got thrown out was, as Rudhyar puts it, the principle of love, it's the first thing to go out the window.

Also, in a cathedral, one would expect to feel safe and safe from marauders and incursions (particularly from those you love) and yet Mars broke that trust.

The progessed Mars of the WTC attack chart is now at Capricorn 5: Indians, Some Are Rowing a Canoe While Others are Dancing a Wardance.

Interesting stuff..

Posted by: Lynda Hill on September 11, 2006 11:39 PM

The Mars of 911 broke down the barrier of fundamentalistic mentality to reveal the light is within. The towers falling to me was the beginning of the end of patriarchy.

I can see the 911 beams from my window. Have many magical and natural wonders and miracles from this window's view. Halle-Bopp comet, white doves, hawks, fireworks from Pier 17. The beams are sad but they give me hope. They are right on a huge cloud and it looks so eerie.

Posted by: bhakti on September 12, 2006 01:37 AM

I read the article on indybay.com about the towers and recall that in the first few days many people wondered if there was something wrong with the design that resulted in the collapse. I remember reading one official architect who said that the architecture was sound and we will not have any rumors blaming the buildings. Now there is a article saying that the buildings were doomed! I guess we will never know but I do know that the story of that day makes no sense and I doubt that it ever will.
Worse though than what happened to the US that day is what has happened to the Iraqis since then. There is not and never will be any reason for the destruction of that country and death of their people. I do believe that with the viciousness of our invasion of Iraq and our support of Israel's destruction of Lebanon we will never be forgiven and in fact are now doomed.
How stupid are we? The money we use to build the weapons, to investigate new designs for death and destruction we could use for education, for the building of supportive and protective dwellings, for medicine that heals and supports. We could literally spread freedom and prosperity. HMMMM!!

DHS Brings Charges

Palast Charged With Journalism In The First Degree

It's true. It's weird. It's nuts. The Department of Homeland Security, after a five-year hunt for Osama, has finally brought charges against Greg Palast. I kid you not. Send your cakes with files to the Air America wing at Guantanamo.

Though not just yet. Fatherland Security has informed me that television producer Matt Pascarella and I have been charged with unauthorized filming of a "critical national security structure" in Louisiana.

On August 22, for LinkTV and Democracy Now! we videotaped the thousands of Katrina evacuees still held behind a barbed wire in a trailer park encampment a hundred miles from New Orleans. It's been a year since the hurricane and 73,000 POW's (Prisoners of W) are still in this aluminum ghetto in the middle of nowhere. One resident, Pamela Lewis said, "It is a prison set-up" -- except there are no home furloughs for these inmates because they no longer have homes.

I live in the Bay Area and I was here when the big earthquake happened that made the Nimitz freeway fall down. It pancaked on itself and none of the buildings or structures under it or to either side were damaged by it, although some were hurt by the earthquake itself. It was located in a poor neighborhood.

The reason I'm writing about this is that the original designers of the freeway which ran overhead in the section that fell designed it to fall exactly the way it did in order to keep it from damaging the surrounding houses. I heard this from a close friend who's husband worked for California Conservation Corps and was high in the management ranks of the highway system in Northern California. They chose not to disclose this to the public for fear of having lawsuits brought by the families of the people who were killed on the freeway. This particular design feature was done specifically because of earhtquakes and was supposedly the best they could do at the time.

I think it's quite possible that the WTC towers were designed to fall the way they did and that the designers don't want anyone to know.

* Burns, Tester square off in front of packed house
By BETSY COHEN of the Missoulian

HAMILTON - [republic] Sen Conrad Burns told a boisterous crowd in Hamilton on Sun that he's the candidate for US Senate who is not “a lawbreaker.”

Members of the audience took offense & shouted “psycho” & booed as Burns claimed that Dem Senate candidate Jon Tester has an illegal slush fund, has taken “unreported” trips to Taiwan, & made illegal phone calls to raise campaign funds.

The accusations came after Tester accused Burns of no longer representing Montana values. “I believe in light bulbs & sunshine,” Burns said. “You know everything about me because it's all out there on the Web site.”

Under attack by the incumbent senator, Tester chuckled, then defended himself by citing a lengthy, rapid-fire list of out-of-state & out-of-country trips taken by Burns, & the multinatl corpos from which Burns has taken money.

The two were in the Bitterroot Valley on Sun afternoon for a 90-min debate at Hamilton High School, an raucous event punctuated by heckling from a lively overflow audience. ... http://www.missoulian.com/articles/2006/09/11/news/local/news03.txt

Can intelligent, informational, entertaining FM talk radio wean American women away from an underperforming music radio format and from TV's Oprah, the soaps, Dr. Phil and the Springer and Maury freak shows? And in sufficient numbers to provide an audience that makes commercial sense?

A cool new outfit called GreenStone Media, the creation of some high-powered dames and backed by deep-pocketed investors, certainly believes it's possible. And they'll talk about and promote this idea, and unveil their new "mass appeal format for FM radio--for women and by women," when GreenStone officially launches on Tuesday, Sept. 12, at Manhattan's Museum of Television & Radio.

Never heard of GreenStone? With a board of directors including the late media tycoon Walter Annenberg's daughter Wallis and a couple of high-profile lightning rods like Jane Fonda and Gloria Steinem, don't fret. You'll be hearing plenty!

From my e-mail:

MARYLAND IN VOTER MELT-DOWN TODAY

We are having problems all across the state in the MD
primary. Early in the morning, the machines could not
be used because the voter "smart cards," used to
download the appropriate ballot face, had not been
delivered to the precincts.

Early arrivals were being given provisional ballots to
vote on. One Democratic Area Coordinator reported
that voters were concerned to see the completed
provisonal ballots being stacked on chairs in the
voting station.

In places where the Diebold AccuVote TS machines were
up and working, voters reported problems with trying
to record their selections. Long lines may be a
problem all day as Maryland uses Diebold e-poll books
for the first time for voter check in. There were
reports of voters leaving in disgust over long waits.

Baltimore media outlets had reported calls from angry
voters in 30-40 precincts around the city. The
Washington Post had been swamped with calls before the
Metro Desk was open.

It is going to be a long day for voters, and a long
night for Boards of Election workers, trying to count
the vote.

Unfortunately, activists have been predicting that it
might take an election meltdown to force the
Legislatlure and the State Board of Elections to
address the vulnerabilities and flaws in paperless
touchscreen voting. They may be getting that message
at last.

Surprise, surprise. But what the NeoCons /Republicans have yet to realize is that by trying so desperately to hang on to their beloved status quo empire, and resist change, they are setting themselves up for a tremendous, devestating Plutonian downfall, from which they will never be able to recover.

It's better to go with the flow, recognize and accept that your old, outmoded ways are ready to pass away, and let them do so. The days of empire and supposed American superiority are at an end. But somehow, they want to believe that fixing and stealing elections will stop the inevitable change that's coming.

Mother Jones Feature...

Just Try Voting Here: 11 of America's worst places to cast a ballot (or try)
Machines that count backward, slice-and-dice districts, felon baiting, phone jamming, and plenty of dirty tricks

Sasha Abramsky
September/October 2006 Issue We used to think the voting system was something like the traffic laws -- a set of rules clear to everyone, enforced everywhere, with penalties for transgressions; we used to think, in other words, that we had a national election system. How wrong a notion this was has become painfully apparent since 2000: As it turns out, except for a rudimentary federal framework (which determines the voting age, channels money to states and counties, and enforces protections for minorities and the disabled), U.S. elections are shaped by a dizzying mélange of inconsistently enforced laws, conflicting court rulings, local traditions, various technology choices, and partisan trickery. In some places voters still fill in paper ballots or pull the levers of vintage machines; elsewhere, they touch screens or tap keys, with or without paper trails. Some states encourage voter registration; others go out of their way to limit it. Some allow prisoners to vote; others permanently bar ex-felons, no matter how long they've stayed clean. Who can vote, where people cast ballots, and how and whether their votes are counted all depends, to a large extent, on policies set in place by secretaries of state and county elections supervisors -- officials who can be as partisan, as dubiously qualified, and as nakedly ambitious as people anywhere else in politics. Here is a list -- partial, but emblematic -- of American democracy's more glaring weak spots.

Thought For the Day

12.6 September

Since the start of September I’ve become steadily more aware of an energy that I can only describe as a bubble of goodness that is seeking to impact itself onto the Earth and its inhabitants. It’s struggling to push through the envelope of fear, terror and media manipulation that still predominates, but it’s my impression from dealing with friends, clients and students of the different courses I teach that exponentially more people are ignoring the spin and instead relying on their own common sense and intuition. Yes, I might be just buying into the Jupiter effect as it squares both Saturn and Neptune over the coming three weeks, but I think not. There’s something new coming soon, something wonderful……..

9/11 - Whodunnit? The Answer Is Clear

WASHINGTON - The percentage of Americans who blame the Bush administration for the September 11, 2001, attacks on New York and Washington has risen from almost a third to almost half over the past four years, a CNN poll released Monday found.

Asked whether they blame the Bush administration for the attacks, 45 percent said either a "great deal" or a "moderate amount," up from 32 percent in a June 2002 CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll.

This morning I had a very vivid dream. I dreamt that my significant other and myself were sitting at the top of a staircase out in the open in a big city. We were high up and were watching a concert (or something like it - a public event) from afar and admiring the view at the same time when suddently we hear loud noise and look behind and above us and see a reenactment of 9/11. The planes were right over us and then went through us and I thought, they're trying to scare us and are using haliographic images to recreate the scene of planes flying into buildings ... then I realized that the planes were real and it was happening again.

I keep on thinking I need to get my vegetable garden started.

Posted by: Marta on September 12, 2006 09:03 PM

Marta....OY....I hope your are NOT being prescient....I hope I hope.

(9/11 was also the anniversary of my dad's death.) Saturn was at 14 Gemini on 9/11/01 (my saturn is 16 Gemini) and on Dec 7, 1941, Jupiter was at 16 Gemini....quite a difference in interpretation, maybe presaging the outcome, I think.

Lunaoscura..years ago I used to drive the Cypress Fwy which pancaked Oct 17, 1989....and I had moved my office into SF on Oct 16...right where the Embarcadero fwy ended on Broadway. I was maybe one of the last people to ever drive on that fwy, about 3 pm that day, and it was just deserted, as there were all those people down at Candlestick Park for the World Series game....

things are so much better in SF and in Oakland since those fwys came down, I mean visually - as you said, they did the best they could for those years, but geez, they were horrid freeways - more like Mordor than the beautiful bay area deserved. And I am not surprised that the information you shared was not broadcast. It makes perfect sense, given how close all the homes were to it (I also lived not far from the Cypress when I lived in Alameda).

The coda to this is that 4 years later, on Oct. 17, my daughter's best friend was murdered.

I had already looked up the weirdness in the dates about the earthquake (giving even more weight to Uranus transits)...it was 83 years, 6 months and 12 hours exactly after the 1906 earthquake.

PS...anyone see the daytime moon today? Quite lovely but also very sci fi.....10:30 AM PDT, it was in the western sky, 1/2 of it anyway...the top half. All ghosty white.

Got this from Nancy's blog.

Marta, This is what I was trying to tell you a few weeks ago (see below). Of course, what you said about allowing a country to have its own culture and way of life is the way things should be and the U.S.'s interference is reason why we are so disliked. However, the people in Iran are not living the way they want to live and they do not like their leaders. They are living the way the fundamentalists and mullahs want them to live. Kristoff says that if we leave things alone, regime change will happen on its own. I believe it was Al Franken who said that the reason the current president was voted in was because Bush & Rice were "campaigning" for the opponent. And, of course, we don't know how corrupt their voting system is.

*****************
Nicholas Kristoff points out what should be the key issues in the Iran war debate:

I’ve never been in a country where the government is so unpopular as in Iran, with the possible exception of Burma. The government is so corrupt, tyrannical and incompetent that it will eventually collapse — unless we attack its nuclear sites and trigger a nationalistic surge of support for the regime.

We Americans are still paying the price for our involvement in the 1953 overthrow of the elected Iranian government of Mohammed Mossadegh; if we bomb Iran, we may cement the mullahs in power for another 50 years.

Moreover, the military options are wretched, partly because Iran is probably doing much of its work at sites we can’t destroy because we don’t know where they are. The Natanz site for now is an empty room. We might kill Russian technicians at Bushehr or elsewhere, and Iran might retaliate with terror attacks aimed at us (counterterrorism experts suspect that Iran has sleeper agents in the U.S. whom it could activate).

Sharon, I totally agree with you about Iran's government. I'm the last person to like any kind of fundamental, totalitarian, etc., etc. system. Let them work it out. Thanks for the post. In the end, we're going to have to do the same (work it out).

I always am concerned about folks who are in the "bomb 'em over there" club when their own country might could use a full-blown fumigating "bomb 'em over here", from some other nation's point of view... when there's treason, torture, wholesale lying, omnicide, mass stealing, child-screwing, corruption & crimes a-plenty going on right "here" is what I think. I don't live "there" so I don't really know what the truth is "there." But I sho' know some things about "here!" ;O)

Air Force chief: Test weapons on testy U.S. mobs

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Nonlethal weapons such as high-power microwave devices should be used on American citizens in crowd-control situations before being used on the battlefield, the Air Force secretary said Tuesday.

The object is basically public relations. Domestic use would make it easier to avoid questions from others about possible safety considerations, said Secretary Michael Wynne.

"If we're not willing to use it here against our fellow citizens, then we should not be willing to use it in a wartime situation," said Wynne. "(Because) if I hit somebody with a nonlethal weapon and they claim that it injured them in a way that was not intended, I think that I would be vilified in the world press."

Canny Comment from a poster, another site...

Basic math-
If our enemy is Al Quaeda, Bin Laden has between 10,000 & 40,000 followers.

If we confuse Hezbollah with Al Quaeda, Bin Laden has between 800,000 & 1.2 million followers.

If we confuse Hamas, Hezbollah, Iraqi's & Iranians with Al Quaeda, Bin Laden has ~100 million followers.

If we confuse all muslims with Al Quaeda, Bin Laden has 1.2 Billion followers.

If we confuse anti-Iraq sentiment as unpatriotic or un-[ameriCO] support for Al Queda, Bin Laden has 5.999 Billion followers.

Take THAT!! you white-powered snot-nosed bushadruggie!

DNC: Dean Sends Mehlman Letter on RNC Funded Discriminatory and Un-American Campaign Activities

WASHINGTON, Sept. 12 /U.S. Newswire/—
Democratic National Committee Chairman

Howard Dean sent a letter toRepublican National Committee Chairman Ken Mehlman today calling on him to stop RNC-funded campaign activities that promote discrimination and endorse violence against political opponents. The letter was sent after a Michigan newspaper revealed that an RNC-funded organizer in Michigan is coordinating “Catch an Illegal Immigrant” and “Fun With Guns” events at the University of Michigan, similar to Republican events in other states like Pennsylvania and Texas. In the first event participants would win prizes for catching others posing as illegal immigrants and in the latter, “young Republicans would shoot cardboard cut-outs of Democratic leaders such as Sen.Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) and Sen.John Kerry (D-Mass.).”

The report of these RNC-funded activities also comes just two days after the Washington Post reported that “in a pivotal year, (the) GOP plans to get personal.” (The Michigan Daily, 9/12/06; Washington Post, 9/10/2006) Additionally, the RNC and College Republicans have a track record of inappropriate and discriminatory campaign tactics:
—RNC Hired Intern is Planning “Catch an Illegal Immigrant” and “Fun With Guns” Events. “Morgan Wilkins, the intern hired by the Republican National Committee to win the hearts and minds of Michigan 20-somethings, is planning events that some may find odd. To others, they may be offensive. One such idea is ‘Catch an Illegal Immigrant Day,’ in which a volunteer would play the part of an illegal immigrant and hide somewhere on campus while others try to find him. The winner would receive a prize. Her other ideas include an event called ‘Fun with Guns,’ in which young Republicans would use a BB gun or paintball gun to shoot cardboard cut-outs of Democratic leaders such as Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) and Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.)” (The Michigan Daily, 9/12/06)

Yes Shy, Noe's conviction is good news! Sorry I haven't had time to post more about it. The worst part for him is that he faces an unrelated trial in October for all of his other wrongdoings in the state. A conviction there could extend his current prison sentence by DECADES.

I can't say that I feel sorry for the guy. He was full aware of what he was doing, and expected to get away with it. Now he's paying the price for his crimes against the people of Ohio, as he should. But he should only be the first of many.

* Between Iraq & re-election bid

Politicians say the darndest things. They're most cynically amusing--or distressingly annoying--when their comfortable seats are in jeopardy & they are hogtied by political circumstances they can't control. So it is that we have the latest, most convoluted--most comical--way to try to get rid of Donald Rumsfeld: Cut the guy out of the action.

[Republics] on Capitol Hill have effectively blocked Dems from staging a true "no confidence" vote against the petulant [offense] sec. The dysfunctionally stubborn bush wouldn't think of throwing overboard a member of his war Cabinet who cooked up & executed so many of the mistakes that have brought us a gruesome countdown to civil war in Iraq & a return of the Taliban to Afghanistan. ... http://www.news-journalonline.com/NewsJournalOnline/Opinion/Editorials/opnOPN95091306.htm

From the folks in Hawaii...

* Will isle reps vote to impeach bush?

WILL you vote to impeach george bush?" This is an appropriate question to ask all Dem & [Republic] candidates running for Ed Case's seat in Congress. Case himself as well as Rep Neil Abercrombie & Senators Daniel Inouye & Daniel Akaka also should have an answer ready. If elected, they may well have to cast a "yea" or "nay" on the issue of impeachment.

Natl polls show a majority of Americans now favor the Dems. If Dems take both houses of Congress in the Nov election ... Dems will run the committees & wield subpoena power. Even if the Dems take control only of the House, a motion to impeach bush could well come forward. If it does, how should our reps vote?

The constitutional description of an impeachable presidential offense is "treason, bribery or other high crimes & misdemeanors." What those "other" crimes & misdemeanors might be is for Congress to decide. Eight years ago, a [Republic] House voted that having a sexual relationship with a WH intern & lying about it was an impeachable offense. The Senate decided it wasn't, but the House vote set the height of the bar. It seems ludicrously low compared to what is before us today.

bush took the nation into [grievous assault] through lies or incompetence. His justification for going to [assault] in Iraq was that Saddam Hussein had WMD & ties to al-Qaida. Neither existed, so bush either lied or was grievously incompetent. We've spent $400 billion on this [criminal assault]. More than 2,600 Americans are dead, tens of 1000s more wounded, & Iraq today has more foreign terrorists, more insurgent attacks & produces less oil than it did two years ago. ... http://starbulletin.com/2006/09/12/editorial/commentary.html

Sorry for the long post. Vote No War.org sent me an e-mail, for action. I tried to find a link to their site but it was only about action to end the war!

Posada Carriles: Today’s announcement that the U.S. government is on the verge of releasing anti-Cuban terrorist Luis Posada Carriles rather than extraditing him to Venezuela requires that all of us act now.

Please take a moment and send a letter to the State Department and members of Congress indicating your disgust with this travesty of justice which can only be understood as a grave threat against the people of Cuba by the U.S. government.
What an irony that on the day Bush went on national television (September 11, 2006) to declare a non-stop war on “terrorism,” the same government went into the last stage in the legal process to free the man responsible for blowing up a Cuban passenger plane with 73 people aboard in 1976. This same man organized other bombings of hotels and other civilian facilities in Cuba. Luis Posada Carriles was a CIA agent and has never stopped his campaign of bombings and assassinations. Now, he is to be set free among the U.S. public rather than face a trial and justice. Bush’s so-called on war on terrorism is exposed as a complete fraud. Bush labels Cuba and the people of the Middle East as “terrorists” in pursuit of a war for empire a war that does not hesitate to use terrorist tactics against its targets.
U.S. Magistrate Norbert Garney in El Paso recommended Posada’s release last night on the basis that Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, notorious now for his “legal” advocacy of torture, refused to classify Posada as a terrorist. Meanwhile, the U.S. government continues to imprison the men known as the Cuban Five for up to double-life terms for attempting to report on the planned activities of Posada and the Miami-based and CIA funded terrorist organizations whose acts have taken the lives of more than 3,000 Cubans since 1959.

The State Department refuses to extradite Posada to Venezuela where he is wanted to stand trial for the destruction of the airliner in 1976. The doomed Cuban aircraft flew from Venezuela on October 6, 1976 the day it was destroyed by a bomb in mid-flight. The Magistrate ruled that since Posada could not be extradited he could not be held indefinitely on the lone immigration charge filed against him by the Justice Department. Thus, the legal strategy of the Bush administration to win Posada’s freedom has now been fully confirmed.

Shy...this morning the paper expounded on the Angelides problem...I believe they are saying 2 staffers for Angelides ON THEIR OWN went in and grabbed those tapes which were stored on Arnold's website, and leaked them because they thought it would do Phil lots o' good....WRONG....funny, another columnist said what I said...damned if they do and damned if they don't.

But Arnold is who he is, and fighting him on the personal level hasn't worked in the past and won't work this time either.....

Phil is charisma challenged....which is lethal in this kind of star studded worship by the masses.

Noticed Air America is supposedly declaring bankruptcy. And that as Sally said earlier, it is also being cautioned in the press that Dems may not gain much in this election. The momentum is just now starting to roll....too soon. (Raw Story)

But my favorite story is this one, perhaps a bit under the radar, also front page on Raw Story:

WASHINGTON, Sept. 12, 2006 — Earl Devaney, the inspector general of the Department of the Interior, will give a blunt assessment of the level of ethics there in testimony to be presented to a congressional subcommittee Wednesday.

"Simply stated, short of a crime, anything goes at the highest levels of the Department of the Interior," Devaney will tell the subcommittee, according to an advance copy of his prepared remarks obtained by ABC News.

Devaney was asked to investigate a controversy that's been brewing on Capitol Hill for months over what critics call a giant giveaway to the major oil companies. (more) and then concluding:
"Over the course of this seven-year tenure, I have observed one instance after another when the good work of my office has been dynamically disregarded by the department," he writes in his testimony. "Ethics failures on the part of senior department officials, taking the form of appearances of impropriety, favoritism and bias have been routinely dismissed with a promise 'not to do it again.'"

Steve Judd...

12.6 September - Since the start of Sept I’ve become steadily more aware of an energy that I can only describe as a bubble of goodness that is seeking to impact itself onto the Earth & its inhabitants. It’s struggling to push through the envelope of fear, terror & media manipulation that still predominates, but it’s my impression from dealing with friends, clients & students of the different courses I teach that exponentially more people are ignoring the spin & instead relying on their own common sense & intuition. Yes, I might be just buying into the Jupiter effect as it squares both Saturn/Neptune over the coming 3 wks, but I think not. There’s something new coming soon, something wonderful... http://www.stevejudd.com/home.html

I hope in the coverage of her death, publicity is given to the sleeze campaign Rove started about her being a lesbian so the public can easily see how he would be behind the Plame leak.

I also heard something about the Texas prosecuters wanting to bring back conspiracy charge against Delay. Too bad, but I believe Nancy had said she saw good ongoing aspects for him. I hope they get him. Hypocrite!

Go to the Firefox Themes and Extensions page (link below) and look for "force wrap" and "zap style sheets" to take care of the problem of the extra wide window.

Once installed, click on "force wrap". Sometimes that works and sometimes not, but if not then click "zap style sheets". That always works. When "force wrap" works it keeps the same format. When you have to use "zap style sheets" you'll lose the boxes and lines but will still have the typing and it will be contained within your window.

Cons on why the GOP should lose in 2006.

With [republic]s controlling Congress & the WH, cons these days ought to be happy, but most aren’t. They see expanding govt, runaway spending, Mid East entanglements, & govt corruption, & they wonder why, exactly, the country s/b grateful for [necroporn] dominance. Some accuse bush & the [republic]s today of not being true cons. Others see a grab bag of stated policies & wonder how they cohere. Everyone thinks something’s got to change.

Now 7 prominent cons dare to speak the unspeakable: They hope the [republic]s lose in 2006. Well, let’s be diplomatic & say they’d prefer divided govt—soon. (Perhaps that formulation will fool Dennis Hastert.) Of course, all of them wish for the long-term health of con-ism, & most are loyal to the GOP. What they also believe, however, is that even if a Speaker Pelosi looms in the wings, sometimes the best remedy for a party gone astray is to give it a session in the time-out chair.

After Tony Blair's latest - and perhaps final - trip to the Levant, the TUC must have seemed almost a relief. There were no banners in Brighton reading "Blair, you killer, go to hell", like those that greeted him in Lebanon last weekend - on a visit that seemed a very long time since the prime minister told the Labour conference, in the wake of September 11: "The starving, the wretched, the dispossessed, the ignorant, those living in want and squalour from the deserts of northern Africa to the slums of Gaza, to the mountain ranges of Afghanistan: they too are our cause."

See article below from Information Clearinghouse. After reading it, I come to the following conclusion:

Looks like we're fomenting this civil war over there (in Iraq). Our casualties are pretty low, so what are we doing over there if not arming the conflict so we can permanently occupy the country and blame it on the Iraquis. Funny that all of the professionals are being driven out. Isn't that what every totalitarian system tries to do first? Get rid of the educated? The thinkers? The ones who might be able to oppose? I don't buy it anymore. The death toll is massive. I don't buy that the Sunni's hate the Shia's anymore than I buy the red state / blue state, republicans hate democrats hate republicans hate liberals hate conservatives spiel any longer. Someone is actively fueing this situation. It's the classic divide and conquer. Who benefits? Our tax dollars at work. We're serfs and slaves and only serve at the master's pleasure.

All this contrived breakdown - in Iraq in the U.S. - in Afganistan ... while it looks very disorderly, it's really not. It's called creative chaos and there's usually someone pulling the strings and benefiting from all the madness. That's why someone at the white house said a few years back "we create our own reality", and they are, yessirree, they are. Question is, is it the reality that we all want to live in? Unbelievable!

New Moon in Virgo
Friday, September 22, 2006
4:45am PDT
29º 20'
Annular Solar Eclipse
4:51am PDT
29º 23'

So we have a second New Moon in Virgo this year. I suggest you take a moment and refresh your memory by rereading the last New Moon in Virgo Moon Message before continuing any further.

This is a special New Moon in Virgo for several reasons: it occurs at 29º, the Moon and Sun are conjunct the South Node in Virgo, in a T-Square with the North Node in Pisces and Pluto in Sagittarius, and all this occurs during a solar eclipse.

This will be an annular solar eclipse, where a narrow ring of the Sun is visible around the dark moon. This eclipse will be visible throughout South America and western Africa. * IAEA slams US House Intelligence Committee report on Iran

Malaysia Sun Thursday 14th September, 2006

The International Atomic Energy Agency has attacked a report released by the US House Intelligence Committee, describing parts of it as "outrageous & dishonest." The report titled, "Recognizing Iran as a Strategic Threat: An Intelligence Challenge for the US," was released by the Chairman of the US House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, Peter Hoekstra, who said at the time he wanted to raise the public's awareness of the Iran threat.

Officials of the IAEA say the report contains some "erroneous, misleading & unsubstantiated statements." The report was packaged with a photo on the front cover of Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad speaking from a podium above a banner reading "The World without Zionism." ... http://story.malaysiasun.com/index.php/ct/9/cid/b8de8e630faf3631/id/acd19475a26b3a3e/

PQP...Raw Story has a link in which it says that Kerry is going to run again for pres, and is kicking the swiftboaters ass (says he doesn't care what conventional wisdom says, and I hope that is a trend which will happen with all dems)....and now Olympia Snowe goes for the same media group to promote herself? I'd say watch out for some ugly stuff....

but the bigger blow is that Google is propping up the GOP...throwing their considerable weight and CASH behind the GOP in DC. Despite the fact that MOST of their employees are dems....time to block all google stuff!!!!

Last night saw a great 3 way going on in the empty house of Congress....Ohio's D. rep Tim Ryan, Kendrik Meeks of FLA and also Debbie - hyphenated last name - Schultz? doing a great 3 way rant about Iraq....and W.

In CA the water wars over the San Juaquin river (which has been damned up for over 60 years to benefit upriver farmers, which made an entire species of salmon extinct) has been worked out so farmers, salmon (reintroduced) and fishermen and recreation/homeowners will have a river again. Been in court for 18 YEARS....finally settled, at least until 2026. I have noticed that there have been some interesting movement in cases which have been stalled for long periods of time (as WV posted, some good things are happening)

* BREAKING THROUGH THE BARRIER

Only two days since the last alert, and it's already time for a new message. So much is occurring in these monumental times!

We have finally broken though the barrier, and what an intense process it has been. The past week provided us opportunities for incredible expansion, and through this opening, we were then able to push through the final vestiges of some lower vibrating energy that has been around for eons of time.

This past weekend was perhaps the most intense, as we went very deep, moving into some amazing territory. For about a week now, I have felt like crying at the drop of a hat. I was nearly speechless, and my friends were most likely thrilled, as the wildly excitable and enthusiastic Karen was actually quiet for a change! Strange as it may seem, I have to say that I love these states of higher consciousness, as one can feel so much love and gratitude, that it can be difficult to function at all. The highest love for all of life and every human being, was most certainly at the forefront during this time, and all I can say is WOW!

Other manifestations of this incredible movement could be felt as flu-like symptoms, body aches, great fatigue, headaches, dizziness, feeling like you have been run over by a truck, chest congestion (the breaking up of old energy), and then... the beloved diarrhea.

In addition, this shift was so monumental, that many of us could not do a thing. A complete letting go and surrender was required, and that even felt divine as well. Trying to accomplish anything, could only lead to frustration, a tightness, roadblock energy, and a total disillusionment with any prior existing manifestations. ... http://www.whatsuponplanetearth.com/latest.htm

Posted by: JoannaOregon on September 14, 2006 09:02 PM

Sharon....all of it came from RAW STORY....just go to the web site...it is the major headline...

Joanna...Yeh....I had all that stuff happen which you just posted...was in bed Fri, Sat and half of Sunday...then it was gone. Should have checked out whatsup, she's always right on.

"Other manifestations of this incredible movement could be felt as flu-like symptoms, body aches, great fatigue, headaches, dizziness, feeling like you have been run over by a truck, chest congestion (the breaking up of old energy), and then... the beloved diarrhea."

Wow, so this is why I am feeling all out of whack? I have had every symptom for the past 2 weeks and it has been awful. I was starting to wonder that I had some really serious health issues. But, the symptoms could also be magnified by the Reiki Master Attunements I got 2 weeks ago. This added to the 'cleansing process' that usually occurs after an attunement.

Talk about letting go of the past....

Some of you may take exception to what I am about to convey here next, so please bear with me. At higher levels, the terrorist energy is serving to support our evolutionary process as well. We are always all in this together, going in the same direction, supporting the whole, at the highest levels. The denser and what appear to be darker energies, serve to assist us in creating something different. They wake us up. They shake us up. They push us into a higher vibrating state of being. Currently, because of higher vibrations now being our mainstay, the denser energies are congealing together, as like energies always associate with like energies. But being that they are now in the minority, more and more, they are grouping together and are much more easily identifiable.

I was just thinking the same thing this morning. which is why we always have to understand the dark side of the force, as Yoda said.

U.S. Press Bigwigs Screw Up, Again
By Robert Parry
September 14, 2006

So, right-wing columnist Robert Novak now says that Richard Armitage, Novak’s initial source on the identity of CIA officer Valerie Plame, wasn’t just some loose-lipped gossip blurting out her name, but rather that Armitage urged Novak to write about Plame’s alleged role in her husband’s fact-finding trip to Niger.

In a Sept. 14 column, Novak calls Armitage’s recent depiction of their July 2003 conversation “deceptive” for suggesting that Armitage’s leaking of Plame’s CIA identity was innocent and inadvertent, when Novak recalled it as intentional and even calculating.

Yet, for the past two weeks, major Washington journalists have been treating Armitage’s account as the gospel truth and, further, as proof that George W. Bush’s White House had gotten a bum rap on the Plame-leak scandal.

William Fisher | A Murrow Moment

http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/091406A.shtml

Looking back at McCarthy-era paranoia and Edward Murrow's radio broadcasts, William Fisher writes, "There's a reason I cite all this old radio-days history. Then, as now, there was little and largely ineffective public push-back against right-wing radio 'news.' Then, as now, networks controlled the airwaves, and sponsors controlled the networks. Today, we have television as well as radio. And today, both are still controlled by large corporate interests - owners and sponsors."

OT: Whoa! Thanks for that post re the dizziness.

Out of the blue today the gland under my right ear swelled, it hurt, it was in a matter of seconds that I felt fine to ouch. I got suddenly lightheaded and had to lay down, there was a ringing in my ears, like a rush of sound. Plugging my ears I could tell the noise was all inside. It lasted about 3-5 minutes. Had a cold compress on my gland and was not sure if I should switch to my head as I broke out in a sweat. BTW, this was NOT a hot flash, I'm through with those. Now I know I'm not dying and quite in the flow :) My gland went down but is still tender. Felt over anxious yesterday and today was to be my relax day. My body forced me into it.

I made such an ass of myself when Neptune transited my 9th house in the late 80's and early 90's that I have been very careful not to join in any ungrounded musings but... I have been sick and achey for so long and so congested that I was thinking that perhaps I had developed a malignancy although at the same time I am flooded by the most intense feelings of love and gratitude that at times I just have to say "I love you! Thank you thank you thank you!". Work is hard on some levels but on the other levels I am more able to empathize than ever. Steve Judd...

14 September - The elements of astrology (fire, earth, air & water) were on the agenda during a student session I taught recently, & the combination of these elements that are found in people. Individuals aren’t just one element. A combination of fire/air gives a full on, dynamic person. Fire/water is someone who ‘gushes’, fire/earth represents lava – unstoppable but slow. Air/water is the person who’s like a fine mist, drizzling everywhere, whilst air/earth people are abrasive like a sandstorm. Earth/water is mud. We are all different combinations of elements, but there are signatures related to the above. Which element do you represent? http://www.stevejudd.com/home.html

Yeh! Medicare is fabulous! I spent approx 2 1/2 hours last year getting Dr. care or buying prescriptions. I spent 1 1/2 hours on the phone the other day trying to find out why Medicare didn't pay the $149.00 for my annual checkup! I don't seem to have the critical medicare card. I have 3 *three cards* for part D! ( AND reams of mailweekly). My monthly thyroid pill fee has dropped from $3.00 to $1.50! It was only $22.00 when I was paying for it myself!
At the end of the day Susan Collins ( medicare specialist) is going to hand carry my letter to SS.
In the "olden days" when self employed, I sent a $20.00 check to Blue Cross Blue Shield, monthly and was fully covered. Hospital stay for thyroid surgery, ( 10 days , + 2 nights relapse for hemotoma the following week!) was completely covered except for the phone fee.( $16.00)
What a travesty!

Hi all - just wanted to chime in on the earlier thread about feeling unwell and wondering what the hell is going on in the universe. For the last week or so, since the eclipse, I have been feeling WEIRD. Random pains in my body (unrelated to my back condition, that's thankfully better now), palpitations, achiness, flu-like stomach. Another hearty healthy friend who never gets stomach stuff has been down with various digestive ailments in the last weeks. And another friend still has had the congestive symptoms (me too, forgot that one). Coupled with all of this, for me, has been a heightened anxiety that is making me into an insomniac, and I assume it's some collective thing as I can't attach it to an event in my life. Even my sweet Virgo kitty has been feeling unwell, and when I left her the other day at my parent's house she began to wail as if I were committting bloody murder, the sound she makes when she's about to throw up. Instead she ran from the room and hid in a linen closet. She's old now, and has always been very psychic (before 9.11 she was a wreck) so I assumed something disconcerting was going on in the ethers. Anyone else been going through this? The thought of them spraying us with something experimental occurred to me as well.

Xena becomes Eris -- Pluto reduced to a number

- Kenneth Chang, New York Times
Friday, September 15, 2006

The dwarf planet formerly known as Xena received a new name Thursday, while Pluto was given a number to reflect the loss of its status as a planet.

Michael E. Brown, a professor of planetary astronomy at the California Institute of Technology who discovered the distant ball of ice and rock that he nicknamed Xena, chose the name Eris, after the goddess of discord and strife in Greek mythology. The International Astronomical Union made the name official Thursday.

"It is absolutely the perfect name," Brown said, given the continuing discord among astronomers and the public over whether Pluto should have retained its planetary status.

In mythology, Eris ignited discord that led to the Trojan War.

Making Israel take responsibility

By James Bowen

Many countries try to excuse their failings by blaming outsiders. For several decades after independence, people in the Irish Republic blamed its economic under-performance on centuries of British rule. Similarly, Israel uses anti-Semitism to excuse its expulsion of Palestinians in 1948, its discrimination against the Palestinians who managed to remain inside the Green Line, and its territorial expansionism after 1967.

All good excuses contain a germ of truth. The 19th-century Irish famine, which was exacerbated by British policies, greatly damaged the morale of the survivors and their descendants. Similarly, the Nazi Judeocide has left a huge scar on the survivors of that catastrophe. However, to escape dysfunctionality, every society must admit its own failings. Irish economic woes stemmed from a culture of risk-avoidance which, while derived from colonial history, had to be admitted and overcome by citizens of the independent state. Similarly, Israelis will never be secure until they admit their responsibility to make restitution for the crimes of their state against the Palestinians. Israelis should beware of false friends who tempt them to avoid this responsibility by misrepresenting the critics of Israeli policies as anti-Semites.

* A Defining Moment for America - [rezasick] goes to Capitol Hill to lobby for torture.

[rez] rarely visits Congress. So it was a measure of his painfully skewed priorities that Mr bush made the unaccustomed trip yesterday to seek lege permission for the CIA to make people disappear into secret prisons & have info extracted from them by means he dare not describe publicly.

Of course, Mr bush didn't come out & say he's lobbying for torture. Instead he refers to "an alternative set of procedures" for interrogation. But [regime] no longer conceals what it wants. ... http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/09/14/AR2006091401587.html

Same here Stephanie. Things have been extremely weird for the past coule of weeks. Thankfully, the insomnia passed 3 weeks ago. Since the eclipse, the energies are making those of us who are all about peace and love sick. Even my dog is out of whack. On the other hand, those who are rude and obnoxious are worse than ever. My take is that those of us who are spiritualy aware are really cleansing out the crud in our bodies and aura's and moving into the realms of higher vibrations. For instance, the spirit world is really becoming active again. I have been 'seeing' alot of strange beings lately during meditation and healing sessions. Nothing negative, but some intense spirits of light and wisdom.

I think we are being prepared for the chaos that is about to take place on our planet. Hang in there everyone, it's going to get very dark soon and those of us who are here to help heal will be ok.

Also, i have been having people ask for healing and advice like never before. Strangers are picking me out of crowds for advice and help. I can also feel my aura expanding and filling with light these days.

Back to work... more later...

The chemtrails which go on ALL the time certainly crossed my mind. Crazy insomnia last night.
Doing my Saturn today and organizing, feeling better from that. The wave of energy is so intense. Laying low. Gland still swollen, not painful but tender to the touch.

BTW, the eclipses are erractic energy times. The day before, the day of, the day after are the lay low days for quiet inward time and spiritual practices.
10 days before the eclipse and three days after are called the shadow when the energy is most forceful.

Shy...thanks for all those links....or as they say, connecting of the dots. The dots are really getting prominent, aren't they? I mean to all of us looking...not for the sheeple or people with a dog in those hunts....
Stephanie, one of the reasons I hadn't been posting is that I had all that going on which you described. I have gotten so used to going thru periods like that and now I am like...(valley girl voice)...yeh, like...whatever...!

But as WV posted back aways and I keep repeating....there is some good arriving....hopefully it will end up as a tsunami of a good kind for the truth....and that it will wash away corrupt and venal people. I think they live in Mordor, don't they?

Posted by: judigem on September 15, 2006 08:47 PM

Also, on the energy front, my grandchildren have been whirling dervishes. My granddaughter is 5 and just started kindegarten, is in a split kindegarten/1st grade and emotionally she is a complete 180 degrees from her personality at the preschool. (Or she is manic depressive, I don't know! )

She loves this school, which doesn't start for her until 10:45 AM (she is a cranky pants at the early 8 AM time)....but the last couple of days she has been cranking up her music, dancing, laughing like crazy and generally being a real Uranian type buzz. It exhausts me because I have too much baggage! but it is a joy. Her 3 yr. old brother is just as excited but less capable of what she is doing...real kinetic energy sources, the two of them.

PQP...wow....great piece of painiting Pat!

I too feel like we're on the edge of something dark in the world, and agree that all of these symptoms must be connected -- the energies have been so intense and strange and untranslatable, at least to me. I hope this E. coli thing doesn't spread and end up the thing we've been dreading, I am having a bad feeling about it -- we don't know the half of it yet, from the CDC. After I posted earlier I spoke to a friend from LA who said that she too has been experiencing bad stomach symptoms, as have a lot of her friends. Are we all going to get sick? I am going to pump up on grapefruit seed extract. I remember some months back when we were discussing bird flu here some people posted fantastic remedies. Any nutritionally inclined folk have something in mind to fight whatever this is -- a virus, an energetic disturbance, something planted in the water by the evildoers in the White House?

Bhakti - my insomina was TERRIBLE last night. Heart rate elevated for no reason, anxitey like crazy, and sour stomach. I know we're both in the NYC area (I'm in the Village). Hope this doesn't mean bad energies are concentrating here. Let's all fight it with our light, wherever we live!!!

Maybe the madmen in the WH are playing around with some sort of electromagnetic energy or something of that nature. It seems it is affecting people in the larger cities.

This morning it was like twenty infected, just now 95 according to World News Tonight. And it jumped from ten to twenty states from this morning until now. Don't want to be an alarmist, but I think someone major is about to happen.

Robert Parry | New Clues in the Plame Mystery

Robert Parry says, "A well placed conservative source has added an important clue to the mystery of the Bush administration's 'outing' of CIA officer Valerie Plame." This source reveals a detail, continues Parry, that, "... undermines the current 'conventional wisdom' among Washington pundits that Armitage acted alone - and innocently - in July 2003 when he disclosed Plame's covert identity to right-wing columnist Robert Novak, who then got Rove to serve as a secondary source confirming the information from Armitage."

The White Truck Delivering Ballots

The Washington Post's Ovetta Wiggins has an article out on Maryland's 4th yesterday. Get ready for legal challenges, because Edwards won this election.

What's going on there is really bad, and it's a preview of what's coming in November considering that the Republicans have basically hired a criminal named Terry Nelson to head up the NRCC opposition 'research' department. So if you don't really know how to approach a situation like this, you should try to learn by watching it during the Edwards-Wynn dry run.

Here's the latest. The absentee ballots from Montgomery County were counted yesterday, and Wynn's lead was narrowed to 2800 votes. Most of these ballots were not in the 4th. I'm not sure if that's true about the provisionals, which are the key.

The polls closed on Tuesday evening, but voting machines in anywhere between two to eight precincts (probably controlled by Wynn's allies) were not brought in to the Maryland Board of Elections until the next day. On Wednesday at 5pm, observers saw a white moving truck pull up and deliver voting machines from several precincts in Wynn-favoring Prince George's county, one of which the Edwards campaign heavily canvassed. Though memory cards were supposed to be taken out immediately after voting closed, these machines had their memory cards still in them. Though no one can yet prove that Wynn's people tampered with the machines, the margin on those machines went for Wynn by around 65-35, which is out of line with the rest of the county. The rest of the county had it at 57 or so for Wynn.

The impact of the numbers appears to be about 1000 votes. Prior to these votes coming in, Wynn had a lead of less than 2000 votes, with 13,000 Montgomery County provisional ballots to be counted on Monday. Donna won that county by a substantial margin, which means she'll probably pick up anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand votes on Monday when those votes are counted.

In other words, what it looks like is that Wynn or Wynn's allies held the ballot boxes they controlled back until they knew the margin Wynn needed to win on Monday, and that's when they probably did their tampering. We'll see what happens on Monday, when the provisionals are counted.

Donna Edwards should probably be the next Congressperson from the fourth. She may yet be seated in Congress next session, though I wouldn't bet my life on it.

Regarding the stomach bug, I just spent a week in Tucson with a friend who had it really bad as did her sister who didn't live with her and several of her friends. An astrologer friend of mine in Phoenix also had it.... thank God, or someone, that I stayed with my friend for a week and didn't get it.

Every day for a week my friend kept thinking that she'd get better that day, but it was a full week that she had it...

Posted by: Lynda Hill on September 16, 2006 05:28 AM

Spinach. Had they eaten any spinach, Lynda?

Posted by: shylurker on September 16, 2006 05:46 AM

I can't speak for the others, but I suspect my friend in Tucson had - she had packets of it in the fridge...

It's weird that I'd gone on about washing herbs before eating them just before I left Sydney as a friend of mine was just takign them straight from the packet and chopping them up. I said that one didn't know who had been handling them and whether they'd washed their hands... musta been a bit of premonition there...

Posted by: Lynda Hill on September 16, 2006 07:24 AM

I should add that I reckon a LOT more people got the bug than is reported as most don't go to the doctor, they just self medicate..

Has anyone else noticed this or am I just being paranoid? The spinach (and now mushroom) related health problems are all occurring in the NE & NW, mostly blue states at that. Coincidence?

Posted by: Garry on September 16, 2006 07:30 PM

Not a coincidence, Garry. I think they're trying to sicken/kill all the Dems and vegan/vegetarians -- the peple that will vote them out of office! Then they'll blame it on Bin Laden or something -- an October suprise starting now, on a slow simmer, ready to boil over during the first week of November, when they'll ride out on their white horses to "protect" us. Of course it's not the Texas-based cattle industry being affected -- the California-based produce industry staffed by immigrants is getting the brunt of it. Oy.

Still wondering about the sickness we've all been feeling -- related to this poison in the produce or something else, something viral and shared person-to-person. And I'd love some natural remedy suggestions to keep the immune system defended against whatever is to come. I love grapefruit seed extract in a bit of orange juice, but maybe the oranges are next. They've got to win Florida, after all.

Posted by: stefanie on September 16, 2006 07:38 PM

Garry, it may be that the news stories you are seeing originate in those areas. We'll have to give it a little time. Right now, the CDC is reporting this:
The states that have reported cases are WI (29), UT (11), NY (7), OH (7), MI (6), NM (5), OR (5), IN (4), ID (3), KY (3), PA (3), CT (2), ME (2), CA (1), MN (1), NV (1), TN (1), VA (1), WA (1), and WY (1).
http://www.cdc.gov/foodborne/ecoli_spinach.htm

And, to echo a post made here a little earlier, these are just the cases being reported. Who knows how many people are actually sick all over the country with what they think is the "creeping crud" and don't realize it is actually e-coli. I'd like to see an age breakdown of the reported cases, too. Moms and Dads will take their babies to the doc, but will try and "tough it out" themselves, and older people will go in too because they will probably be more viciously affected. Anyway, let's wait and see. (Unfortunately, the current regime is also driving people out of the CDC.)

USDA SAYS SHUT UP AND EAT YOUR FRANKENRICE
The USDA has finally reacted to the contamination of the U.S. rice supply
by an unapproved, genetically engineered variety of rice created by the
Bayer Corporation. Three weeks ago, it was discovered that Bayer's mutant
rice, gene-spliced to survive heavy doses of a powerful herbicide called
glufosinate, had contaminated U.S. long grain rice stocks. The USDA
admitted it had "no idea" how extensive the contamination was. Meanwhile Japan
has banned all U.S. rice imports, while the EU is rejecting U.S. imports
that test positive for contamination. The rice industry has
been in a state of upheaval, with rumors of a massive market recall
spreading across the country. This week, the USDA announced its plan of
action: instead of recalling this illegal, and potentially unsafe rice, it
is working with Bayer to fast-track the approval process. "Illegal,
potentially hazardous rice in grain bins, on supermarket shelves, in cereal,
beer, baby foods, and all rice products. It should be a no-brainer. Recall
this stuff to make sure no one eats it," said Joseph Mendelson, Legal
Director of the Center for Food Safety. "Instead, USDA plans to rush
through 'market approval' of a genetically engineered rice
that Bayer itself decided was unfit for commerce. Why? To free Bayer
from liability."

Strengthening the immune system:

1. Fear is the greatest threat to our immune systems. So keep thoughts above the level of fear. Anger also compromises the immune system.

2. Eat real food - as close to natural and organic as possible. These foods have more life force, more light.

3. Fermented foods(they produce lactic acid) strengthen the immune system - unprocessed sauerkraut(Eden brand), kefir, miso, yogurt(plain), and kimchee (korean dish-fermented cabbage).

3. Bless your food before you eat it.

4. Manage stress levels

Blessings,

I remember once in the 70s, in a scientific journal, seeing some electronmicroscopy photos of vitamins. The vitamin of processed food (fruit, vegetable) was the universal shape--cell with nucleus or center--but just there... nothing going on. The vitamin of "live food" or unprocessed food was same shape, but there were scintilating colorful rays of "energy" or light going out from its center. So processed food in the article was termed "dead food"; the other, "live food." I've never forgotten that.

Make Republicans Nervous: See new movie "Iraq for Sale: The War Profiteers"

By Joan Brunwasser

Find a Free Screening near You
Robert Greenwald's new movie Iraq for Sale: The War
Profiteers is creating quite a buzz in the media.

The New York Times review says:

"Mr. Greenwald compiles a horrifying catalog of greed,
corruption and incompetence among private contractors in Iraq, focusing
primarily on Halliburton, Blackwater Security Consulting and CACI
International... the movie goes on to trace connections between the
contractors and the Republican Party, assert the buying of influence and
explores what it says are questionable accounting systems that encourage an
exorbitant waste of taxpayer money. And that's just the first 30 minutes."

EVERYONE!!! ASTROLOGY INFO TO POST ON DAILY KOS

I don't have membership on daily kos. Maybe someone here can post this which adds credibility to the discussion of astrology. Add anything more if you like.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

From "The History of Astrology" by Zohar:

Ptolemy had the reputation for being the greatest astrologer/astronomer of all times.

Hippocrates, born around 460 B.C.E. and known as the "Father of Medicine," used astrology as the most scientific means of diagnosis available to the Greek physicians of his time. The Hippocratic School of Medicine focused on the study of the natal chart to determine the specific make-up of their parents.

Galen, born in 30 C.E., is called the "Father of Experimental Physiology." His treatise Prognostication of Disease by Astrology resulted in widespread knowledge of astrological medicine. A synthesis of medical thought and astrological medical knowledge, Galen’s books dominated the field of medicine for 1500 years.

Thomas Aquinas, still considered to be one the great Christian theologians, placed importance upon the science of astrology in the study of natural science.

Jerome Cardan, born in 1501, and one of the best minds of his age was a great mathematician, physician, and astrologer. Appointed professor of medicine at Pavia in 1547, his published works on algebra and astrology brought him fame throughout Europe.

Two great English scientists and astrologers were Edmond Halley, born in 1656, and Isaac Newton, born around 1642.

Shakespeare, an astrologer in addition to being a playwright, depicted his characters using astrology correctly. William Lilly, born in 1602, and Nicholas Culpepper, born in the early 1600’s, were physicians who used medical astrology.

World renowned psychiatrist Carl Jung believed that "synchronicity" explains how astrology works. Planets do not cause certain events. Instead, they are symbols of cosmic forces. The patterns they form synchronize with events on our planet Earth. In later life, Jung used the natal chart as a tool for working with his patients.

Gas Price Manipulation to Influence Elections?

By Rob Kall

If the major energy companies are dropping gas prices to help their good friend and partner George Bush, and to influence the November elections, they should be charged and prosecuted. For What?

By dropping prices, they are in a sense, making a contribution to the Republican party-- potentially billions of dollars.

If it isn't against the election laws, it should be.

We're already seeing prices as low as $2.39 in PA and NJ. It won't be surprising to see the prices dip to under $2.00 by election day.

This was predictable-- too predictable. It reflects the arrogance of the energy companies and their willingness to do everything they can to influence the USA's elections-- distorting, poisoning the democratic process.

Let's be clear. These transnational entities are enemies of democracy. They know they will be losing billions in corporate welfare if the Democrats take power, as well they should.

I'm hoping that, if and when the Democrats take the house (assuming e-voting doesn't help steal the elections) that the energy companies get hit hard, very hard with tariffs, royalties and regulations. They are parasites that have zero interest in the humans living in the USA.

Please Rate the Princeton Video on Stealing Votes up at Google and You Tube

by Dorri Steinhoff

http://www.opednews.com

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6590793631232799613&hl=en

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azws98jw67g

This couldn't be more crucial. Our votes are our voices. Please visit this website and watch the video and please send this to everyone you know,

http://itpolicy.princeton.edu/voting/videos.html

Main Findings The main findings of our study are:

1. Malicious software running on a single voting machine can steal votes with little if any risk of detection. The malicious software can modify all of the records, audit logs, and counters kept by the voting machine, so that even careful forensic examination of these records will find nothing amiss. We have constructed demonstration software that carries out this vote-stealing attack.

2. Anyone who has physical access to a voting machine, or to a memory card that will later be inserted into a machine, can install said malicious software using a simple method that takes as little as one minute. In practice, poll workers and others often have unsupervised access to the machines.

3. AccuVote-TS machines are susceptible to voting-machine viruse! s - computer viruses that can spread malicious software automatically and invisibly from machine to machine during normal pre- ! and post-election activity. We have constructed a demonstration virus that spreads in this way, installing our demonstration vote-stealing program on every machine it infects.

4. While some of these problems can be eliminated by improving Diebold's software, others cannot be remedied without replacing the machines' hardware. Changes to election procedures would also be required to ensure security.

Statements in Maine's Sen. Snowe television ad not supported by votes

By Joe Brooks

Democrat Jean Hay Bright Thursday cautioned Maine voters to "listen between the words" in the television ads run by her opponent Olympia Snowe in this year's U.S. Senate race.

Snowe's first ad began running last week. It was produced by Sen. Snowe's brother-in-law, Bob McKernan, president of the agency Blue Worldwide, and placed with Maine TV stations by Stevens Reed Curcio and Potholm of Alexandria, Va., the company that produced the infamous "Swift Boat Veterans" ad campaign against John Kerry during the 2004 Presidential race. The Stevens, Reed firm is not involved in the production or content of the ad, just its placement, according to the Snowe campaign.

Rob Kall: Sink the $50 Million Swift Boat Fleet Before It Arrives

by Rob Kall

http://www.opednews.com

The ugly, dishonest, fact distorting ads have started. The word on who has hired swiftboat attack ad agencies is starting to come out. The US airwaves are going to be writhing with serpents' tongued, ugly, dishonest, distorting, misleading sleaze ads all aimed at neutralizing the "lead" the democrats purportedly are going into the November elections with..

What will the DNC, the DSCC and the DCCC do about it?

In behavioral psychology, there's a concept called innoculation The patient is taught psychological techniques to innoculate himself in response to stressors that would ordinarily cause unwanted reactions, like anxiety, panic or rage attacks.

Knowing that the republicans are planning the biggest, nastiest, ugliest negative ad campaign in the hhistory of the world, it would behoove the Democratic leadership to take some smart action to immunize voters from the sleazoid attack ads the Republicans will be running.

I don't think it is realistic or possible to respond to each ad the RNC and their surrogates will run. But a series of ads run on national networks could do wonders, characterizing the republican desperation, forewarning of lies, reminding viewers that the reason they're running them is to try to get voters to forget about Iraq, forget about the national debt, forget about the war against the middle class.

I truly hope someone in the DNC has figured out that this needs to be done. If they're smart, they'll neutralize and maybe even convert all that negative Republican ad money into a plus for their candidates....

Naaah. I forgot. They're Democrats. They can't win, even when the voters can't stand the republicans or the war. Where are the leaders?? I hope one shows up-- one f orward thinking enough to juse some advertising jiu jitsu to turn the Republican's $50 million negative ad campaign into a fleet of sinking swiftboats.

This story may make you queazy about your cell phone....

War, Murder, Rape... All for Your Cell Phone

By Stan Cox, AlterNet. Posted September 14, 2006.

Everyone's heard about the human rights abuses in African gold and diamond mines. But when it comes to their ultra-cool, razor-thin cell phones, American consumers won't get the message. Tools
"As you crawl through the tiny hole, using your arms and fingers to scratch, there's not enough space to dig properly and you get badly grazed all over. And then, when you do finally come back out with the cassiterite, the soldiers are waiting to grab it at gunpoint. Which means you have nothing to buy food with. So we're always hungry."

That's how Muhanga Kawaya, a miner in the remote northeastern province of North Kivu in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), described his job to reporter Jonathan Miller of Britain's Channel 4 last year. Cassiterite, or tin oxide, is the most important source of the metallic element tin, and the DRC is home to fully one-third of the world's reserves. Some cassiterite miners work on sites operated directly by the country's military or other armed groups. Working in the same area are "artisanal" miners who are theoretically independent, like prospectors in America's Old West. But the cassiterite they extract is heavily taxed by the soldiers -- when it's not just stolen outright.

Thanks wv,
I need all the amunition I can get up here! It's bad enough that 51% are committed Repugs........some of them never even having been out of Maine.
But I have an anarchistic, very liberal friend, ( born in the UK & lived in London) who thinks maybe Snowe might be able to wield more leverage than an unknown newcomer! I will pass this on to her!!!!!
If I had been able to convince several of my well meaning friends to vote for Gore not Nadar..................
