Democrat Ted Strickland has surged to a surprising lead of 20 percentage points in the first Dispatch Poll on Ohio’s Nov. 7 race for governor. Meanwhile, Democrat Sherrod Brown holds an 8-point edge in his bid to unseat two-term Republican Sen. Mike DeWine.

Strickland’s 47-to-27 advantage over GOP rival J. Kenneth Blackwell is fueled by a more than 3-to-1 lead among independent voters, combined with Blackwell’s inability to sell himself to Ohio Republicans.

"I kind of feel like the Republican Party has run the state government like an old boys club for a long time" and it is time for a change, said poll participant Stuart Hinnefeld, 53, a federal worker from the Cincinnati area who backs De-Wine but not Blackwell.

Respondent Barbara Wardlow, a 70-year-old Republican from Clarksville near Cincinnati, said she’s never voted for a Democrat, but that may change this fall. She said she doesn’t like Blackwell but wants to learn more about Strickland before deciding.

Republicans’ tepid response to Blackwell, despite the secretary of state’s comfortable victory in the May 2 primary, shows up in several ways:

• Overall, 61 percent of Republicans are backing Blackwell, compared with the 81 percent support Strickland is receiving from Democrats.

• Just 53 percent of the respondents who said they voted for President Bush in 2004 are lining up behind Blackwell. There are 28 percent who remain undecided, but 18 percent are ready to vote for Strickland. Less than a majority of those who said they voted for Republican Gov. Bob Taft four years ago want Blackwell in the office. Taft voters are split 46 to 28 between Blackwell and Strickland. Strickland is winning the battle among those who said they voted for Democrat Tim Hagan in 2002 by 81 to 3.

The article goes on to mention that Dubya is coming to Cleveland to campaign for Blackwell on Aug 2, as if that might somehow be helpful to Blackwell in convincing Bush's disillusioned supporters to vote his lackey into office. However, Bush is now a LIABILITY for any Republican candidate in the eyes of all but Bush's most adamant supporters, though even this bunch have finally started to trickle away from Bush's base.

Second, it mentions upcoming debates. Blackwell is not the best communicator. Strickland is much better by comparison. I think more airtime actually favors Strickland over Blackwell, and Blackwell won't have the media backing that Bush did in his debates with Gore and Kerry to gloss over his rather glaring deficiencies in the aftermath.

Congressman Brown is starting to pull ahead of "Nice Guy" Sen. Mike DeWine who has already gone negative to try and close the gap. No more Mr. Nice Guy, it seems, one of DeWine's much touted personality traits. At least the long inept Ohio Democratic Party is showing signs of pulling itself together and is fighting back DeWine with counter ads. There'll be no swift-boating the Dems this time around.

Maybe, just maybe, Ohio is ready for a change?

Roderick, Patriotism has a lot to do with pride in one's country, if not everything to do with pride. And pride has to do with faith and hope in ourselves and a trust in our government that there will be a better tomorrow. That faith, hope and trust has been severely damaged the last 6 years if not broken. Patriotism will only return when those things return. Even those in the GOP are turning away now, and what is needed for patriotism isn't going to be gained by selling this country to away, by lining the pockets of the richest, by sending jobs overseas. I see 2008 very differently. I think 2008 will see us beginning to gather forces to take a look at what we need to do as a country to regain our balance
in order to go forward. Well, the Saturn Neptune opposition is working on me already...that cold hard dose of reality....as Saturn is conjuncting my moon and Neptune is and has been on my nodal axis. Last Thrusday I went to the dental school and they wrote me up on a medical report....my blood pressure/hypothyroid condition is untreated as I have no med. insurance. The brutal reality is that I need to take care of it as I was at 150/90 and a pulse up in the 90's. The heat didn't do much to help, it was 105 in my daughter's backyard on Saturday, and that night I suffereed not only fear and panic over my situation, byt pissed off because on top of everything else, my digital camera was stolen from my car and I had some major heat stroke going on.

Certainly that was a HOT dose of reality....and I am seeing a naturopath on Aug 2, hopefully will not have any more major scares between now and then. That hypothyroid/hypertension thing is incredibly common....for women over 50.

I was watching the TLC channel on tectonic plate theory and the movement of the land masses over millions and billions of years....as we have gone 3 or 4 times now from one solid land mass to the current 7 continents, banging up again aftter seaprating, over glacial periods of time.....with the earthquake activities going on now, it is obvious we have once again entered a period of intense geological changes....as one landmass slides under another, to me melted down and then come up thru volcano conditions to create more land mass.....it is kind of like politics, I think....and right now the US and the rest of the world seem like two land masses trying to subvert the other....reds and blues, middle east tensions, which will be the one to subduct, be melted down, and then rise again? At least with the reds and blues we can see what is happening, as the reds subverted the blues, and the blues have melted and are liquifying at a deep level. Hopefully to 'explode' back on the scene again....but the middle east, yikes. And there will be many more of these subductions politically. It is a constant process, both geological change and politics, which should be obvious to all of us....and maybe it would be easier to not get so emotional over if it is understood as a process of create and destroy (something malebots seem to be awfull fond of).

Sally, I agree with you that patriotism doesn't belong to one party but the Republicans seem to be able to use it a lot more effectively and brazenly than the Democrats.

Case in point is the commercial the Dems were running that included a short clip of the flag-draped coffins of our soldiers. The Republicans cried foul and the Dems pulled the ad.

A few days later OH Republican Senator DeWine ran a commercial which featured the smoldering Twin Towers and depicted progressive Sherrod Brown as weak on national security. The funny (sad) part is the picture had been doctored.

Morgana, in order to continue getting dental treatment, I have to go to a doctor - MD (the Naturopath in Palo Alto can do the bloodwork I need) but then she has all the supplements, herbs, etc....and can prescribe those. The dental school needs to protect itself from me blippin' out on them because of a teeth cleaning or crown replacement! Appreciate the input, will keep looking down the road. I also gave up coffee for the present time, as it too contributes to the tension. (Excruciating headache along with the heat) Too bad the rest of the world couldn't give up 'coffee'....i.e., hypertension causes)....it is like the whole world is having heat stroke.

Heya judig give up anything salt. Also try some green tea, they took me off bp pills a couple of years ago, course then I supplement with the herb which keeps my stress levels under management. The green tea is great for giving your body what it needs to fix itself. I am sure we've got folks about who really have knowledge of the benefits, I know it has worked for me. My last battle here is getting the thyroid healed up, but that problem turns out to be calcium blocking the hormone distribution. Anyway good luck with the dental work I just forked over my tax return for a crown.

Rice sees bombs as "birth pangs"

Condoleezza Rice has described the plight of Lebanon as a part of the "birth pangs of a new Middle East" and said that Israel should ignore calls for a ceasefire.

"This is a different Middle East. It's a new Middle East. It's hard, We're going through a very violent time," the US secretary of state said.

"A ceasefire would be a false promise if it simply returns us to the status quo.

"Such a step would allow terrorists to launch attacks at the time and terms of their choosing and to threaten innocent people, Arab and Israeli, throughout the region."

I have to say that, as the mother of five children, these remarks stopped me cold in my tracks. Aside from the obvious question "what can Condoleezza Rice - a woman who has never given birth - know about "birth pangs"? - there is another more compelling question: what kind of human being can be so callous as to say such a thing when tens of thousands of mothers in the Middle East have suffered the unimaginable grief of seeing their beautiful babies crushed under the jackboots of rapacious Imperialism and religious fanaticism?

In Norman Finkelstein's book Beyond Chutzpah, he writes:

In the course of preparing the chapters of this book devoted to Israel's human rights record in the Occupied Territories, I went through literally thousands of pages of human rights reports, published by multiple, fiercely independent, and highly professional organizations - Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, B'Tselem (Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories), Public Committee Against Torture in Israel, Physicians for Human Rights - Israel - each fielding its own autonomous staff of monitors and investigators.

To illustrate real differences of opinion, let us consider again the Palestinian refugee question.

It is possible for interested parties to agree on the facts yet come to diametrically opposed moral, legal, and political conclusions.

Thus, as already mentioned, the scholarly consensus is that Palestinians were ethnically cleansed in 1948.

On Saturday, I meet a loyal Labour agent of 30 years. He's depressed. Why? He's spent the last few days trying to sign people up to the party, but is finding it difficult to answer the following question: "Why should I join a party which is backing Israel's bombardment of Lebanon, killing hundreds of people and making thousands more homeless?" It feels, on a lesser scale, like the Iraq war all over again. Labour activists are uneasy about their government's uncritical backing for Israel and America. Yet the government insists the crisis was started by Hizbullah, and that Israel must be allowed to defend itself. "If bombs were dropped on Guildford," goes the government line, "wouldn't we feel the need to hit back?"
Division over Israel now streaks like a zig-zag fault line through Labour - and the Tories. On the one side, Tony Blair, Margaret Beckett and David Cameron are keeping on the pro-Israeli side of neutral, sounding close to Washington in their language. Beckett, for instance, blames Hizbullah for "a calculated attempt to destabilise the whole region". Last Thursday she repeatedly rejected calls from MPs on all sides in the Commons to condemn Israel's attacks. On the other side, we have Kim Howells, a Foreign Office minister; probably a majority of the Labour backbenchers; Cameron's deputy and foreign affairs spokesman, William Hague; and the leader of the Liberal Democrats, Menzies Campbell.

Lebanese parliament speaker rejects Rice cease-fire proposal

Nabih Beri, Lebanon's parliament speaker and Hezbollah's de facto negotiator, rejected proposals brought by U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on Monday, inisisting a cease-fire must precede any talks about resolving Hezbollah's presence in the south, an official close to the speaker said.

Rice's talks with Prime Minister Fouad Siniora also appeared to have been tense. Siniora told Rice that Israel's bombardment was taking his country "backwards 50 years" and also called for a "swift cease-fire," the prime minister's office said.

An official close to Beri said his talks with Rice failed to "reach an agreement because Rice insisted on one full package to end the fighting."

The package included a cease-fire, simultaneous with the deployment of the Lebanese army and an international force in south Lebanon and the removal of Hezbollah weapons from a buffer zone extending 30 kilometers from the Israeli border, said the official. He spoke on condition of anonymity because the talks were private.

Beri rejected the package, proposing instead a two-phased plan. First would come a cease-fire and negotiations for a prisoner swap. Then an inter-Lebanese dialogue would work out a solution to the situation in south Lebanon, said the official.

Hospital: Ariel Sharon's condition worsening; life said in danger

Former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's medical condition has deteriorated over the past few days. His kidney function has declined, causing fluid to accumulate in his body, and he may soon be permanently hooked up to a dialysis machine that will regulate this situation. Medical examinations have also showed changes in Sharon's brain tissue, and his doctors fear that he may be harboring an infection.

According to a senior physician, whose assessment is based on the information released on Sunday by Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer: "Sharon is facing a serious threat to his life, and if he is not treated with kidney dialysis he could die within several days."

Roderick, they need to put me in charge of the Dems. My very first act would be to get some sort of an investment group led by Ted Turner and George Soros to buy back CNN and return it to the thoroughly investigative, if not somewhat left-leaning journalistic entity that it once was. Within a few short months, masses of millions would converge upon the White House and the Capitol with torches and pitchforks to drive the conservative, corrupt Repugs out.

All people need to hear is the truth -- repeatedly -- about what the Bush Crime Family, Cheney, the NeoConservatives and Corporatists have done to this country and the world. The situation for them is truly as Poppy Bush once supposedly said, "If the people knew what we had done, they would chase us down the street and lynch us."

For the record, I'd just be happy to see them all frog-marched by federal agents out of White House and onto a plane headed for The Hague/ICC.

I think Ohioans are finally fed up with the state-level GOP or are close to it when all they see are scandals, corruption and ineffectual leadership from Gov. Taft. Besides that, I never saw where discriminating against gays or banning abortion or flag burning should even be relevant issues in a state that continues to bleed jobs, business and its' young people (myself included) to other, more level-thinking states and regions. It's slow coming, but other people are finally starting to wake up and see what really matters here. So I hope, at least.

NOBEL peace laureate Betty Williams displayed a flash of her feisty Irish spirit yesterday, lashing out at US President George W.Bush during a speech to hundreds of schoolchildren.

Campaigning on the rights of young people at the Earth Dialogues forum, being held in Brisbane, Ms Williams spoke passionately about the deaths of innocent children during wartime, particularly in the Middle East, and lambasted Mr Bush.
"I have a very hard time with this word 'non-violence', because I don't believe that I am non-violent," said Ms Williams, 64.

"Right now, I would love to kill George Bush." Her young audience at the Brisbane City Hall clapped and cheered.

"I don't know how I ever got a Nobel Peace Prize, because when I see children die the anger in me is just beyond belief. It's our duty as human beings, whatever age we are, to become the protectors of human life."

Ms Williams was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize 30 years ago, when she circulated a petition to end violence in Northern Ireland after witnessing British soldiers shoot dead an IRA member who was driving a car. He veered on to the footpath, killing two children from one family instantly and fatally injuring a third.

Ms Williams's petition had tens of thousands of Protestant and Catholic women walking the streets together in protest. Now the former office receptionist heads the World Centres of Compassion for Children International, a non-profit group working to create a political voice for children.

"My job is to tell you their stories," Ms Williams said of a recent trip to Iraq.

"We went to a hospital where there were 200 children; they were beautiful, all of them, but they had cancers that the doctors couldn't even recognise. From the first Gulf War, the mothers' wombs were infected.

"As I was leaving the hospital, I said to the doctor, 'How many of these babies do you think are going to live?'

"He looked me straight in the eye and said, 'None, not one'. They needed five different kinds of medication to treat the cancers that the children had, and the embargoes laid on by the United States and the United Nations only allowed them three."

Wrapping up the three-day forum yesterday, delegates agreed to a 26-point action plan.

"There can be no sustainable peace while the majority of the world's population lives in poverty," they said.

"There can be no sustainable peace if we fail to rise to the global challenge presented by climate change.

"There can be no sustainable peace while military spending takes precedence over human development."

He says Bush doesn't even take notes in meetings and hasn't a clue what is going on. That the incompetency is

But of course, it was the locall Fox outlet. My blood pressure started rising as I iced my hand and leg. Too bad ice doesn't work on pure outrage.

PS..my camera turned out to have been found and is in the dental school lost and found, so I will retrieve it.

Hey wv, my daughter was at the Earth Dialogues Forum (she's not a student, she's 23).

Concerning the shocking story about the children in Iraq, we get a lot of this type of coverage on our tv... we have a few television stations that aren't afraid to tell the truth and we see documentary after documentary about what's happening in the middle east. It's a shocker.

We've just had a doco on about the US military bases in the Philipines... after the closure of two bases, there was no cleanup of the toxins left behind. So many people are dying of shocking diseases as a direct result of the chemicals used. The bays that the fisherman used to fish in are in a terrible state and toxic as hell... one congressman was heard to say on a telephone recording that it was "horsesh*t that the US had to clean up after itself" they don't have to do anything, he said.

Excuse the lack of detail, it's early in the morning and I'm rushing.

I also want to apologise for posting Eddie Izzard's piece on the earlier blog entry without ****ing out the swear words... I hadn't thought to.. apologies if anyone was offended!!

The new moon, as we've seen from Sally's posting of the charts, etc, is on her descendant. The actual Symbol for the new Moon is Leo 3: A Woman Having Her Hair Bobbed... this speaks of women's liberation, amongst other things - fashion, keeping up the with times, etc. However, Condy's descendant is 03.08 Leo, which has the Symbol of Leo 4: A Man Formally Dressed Stands Before Trophies He Bought Back From a Hunting Expedition.

Both fit her... notice she even wears a 'bob'.

From the account, it seems that Israel has been targetting the Red Cross as two Red Cross vans received direct hits... couple this with the direct hits on the U.N. and one has more serious questions about the motives of the strikes.

It was shocking listening to this man and the interview was several minutes long.

My question here to you guys is: do you hear about these attacks in your popular media?

It's interesting to note that Mars is on Virgo 3: Two Guardian Angels Bringing Protection - the UN and the Red Cross? - sounds like Mars is blowing up the 'angels'.

Mars has just passed over Virgo 2: A Large White Cross Dominating the Landscape. Someone here (apologies, it's late and I can't remember who) mentioned the number of Christians living in Lebanon, which is completely relevant to this degree.

Further, Mars on this degree would signify that emmissary from the Christian right flying in and doing bother all to spread Christ's message of "thou shalt not kill".

Sounds like Mars is stirring up the degrees... along with the heat in the U.S.

BTW, we had a very warm day here last week. It was 24 celsius in Sydney in the middle of winter (which is extremely warm for this time of year). Not a good sign.

I used to read this site so much at my old job because there was so little to do there, but now I've quit to tackle the ton of work there is to do at my house and don't have time to read so much. I've been going to marches here in DC. One last week in front of the White House, and one yesterday at the Israeli embassy. I can't believe how much the news media have adopted the Likudnik party line. More than ever, I feel like the pod people have taken over the US, and I just don't belong here anymore. Don't know what I would do if I couldn't read what everybody says and posts here and to go to these marches. Even got interviewed by someone from Israeli radio and could say what I thought.

Two Syrian officials made no bones about it when I asked their reaction to deploying such a force, without Syrian backing: Do you remember what happened in 1983, each asked, when the Reagan administration tried to impose an Israeli-designed treaty on Lebanon against Syria’s will?

I was there, I remember quite well: Hezbollah, no doubt backed by Syria or Iran, debuted its skills for the world by blowing up the U.S. Embassy in Beirut and the U.S. Marine and French peacekeeping battalions. This is not a knitting circle here.

Thanks, wv... it's a shocker. The news reports we are getting are extremely distressing. We have quite a large Lebanese community here and they've been suffering the demonisation of the muslims at the hands of our horrid government and the media and talk back radio. I have been ashamed to be Australian on many occassions over the last several years. Many of us wonder where our country has gone.

It seems the west always has to have it's 'enemy' - some 'demon' to blame the ills on. Some time back it was the Asians in this country, before that, the Europeans who flooded here.

I'm a little relieved that a lot of Australians are wonderful people (as are the Americans)... but the agenda has been really thoroughly disgusting for some years. For example, we've locked up refugees in detention camps under horrid conditions when it's clear that many were running from the horror in the middle east... that horror was largely orchestrated by the west with the Gulf War and the sanctions against Iraq, etc.

What a horrid mess.

Shy, hey...about 2 hours after reading that link on gait and BP, I suddenly got it.....wow....I've been lurching around for the last few years....sometimes with dizziness, sometimes not.....I haven't been lately, so I didn't connect.

We are having Phoenix like weather in CA, the entire state over 90 and into the 100's....people dying, elderly, at risk, low income ones....and just like NYC, there are areas inland with 115 degree heat with no electricity since last week. Having lived in Phoenix in the 1970's, I say this...if confronted with such heat, wrap yourself in a wet sheet and sleep outside, or sit outside....it is what people used to do in Phoenix before AC. It worked for me (a towel around the neck and over forehead, or feet in a basin of cool water (not iced).

So, I am going to post a really offensive letter to the editor from the San Francisco Chronicle...if you have any doubts about the type of people voting for this regime and calling the rest of us the idiots:

Editor -- Where is the voice of normal Americans? We hear and read about the liberal-left's agenda every day. What is the liberal-left's agenda? To oppose whatever this president and his administration stands for. Witness the arguments: Stop Israel -- bring "peace" to the area. Just one side is presented -- the liberal side.

Again, where is the voice of normal Americans? Are the media afraid to present a commonsense view? Appeasement of a bully, which the Hezbollah undoubtedly is, brings only more bullying.

Editor -- In a July 19 column in The Chronicle, Ruben Navarrette Jr. calls for Sen. Joe Lieberman to be re-elected essentially because he's being vilified on one issue, the Iraq war, by "extremists" in the Democratic Party. It is obvious that Navarrette has no clue about Connecticut politics or Lieberman's Democratic credentials.

Lieberman has lost his way with his constituents on everything from the war, to the Alito cloture vote, to the Terri Schiavo case, to bankruptcy "reform," to Medicare Part D, to universal health care. On all these issues, he has either sided with the GOP or dragged his heels, permitting Republican legislative success. He then rubs it in his constituents' noses by appearing with neocon right-wingers such as Sean Hannity and bashing his Democrat colleagues on Fox News.

Now he wants to run as an independent, if he loses the primary, potentially jeopardizing a Democrat seat. His arrogance and disregard for those he represents will cost him his seat, and it's the voters, not "extremists," who will make that decision because the antipathy toward Lieberman runs wide and deep. Sort of refreshing, this "extremist" democracy thing, isn't it, Mr. Navarrette?

This week I had the pleasure to appear on American radio, on the Laura Ingraham show, pitted against David Horowitz, a "Semite supremacist” who most recently made his name under the banner of Campus Watch, leading McCarthyite witch-hunts against American professors who have the impertinence to suggest that maybe, just maybe, Arabs have minds and feelings like the rest of us.

It was a revealing experience, at least for a British journalist rarely exposed to the depths of ignorance and prejudice in the United States on Middle East matters -- well, apart from the regular wackos who fill my email inbox. But five minutes of listening to Horowitz speak, and the sympathy with which his arguments were greeted by Laura (“The Professors -- your book’s a great read, David”), left me a lot more frightened about the world’s future.

Horowitz’s response to every question, every development in the Middle East, whether it concerns Lebanon, the Palestinians, Syria, or Iran, is the same: “They want to drive the Jews into the sea." It’s as simple as that. Not even a superficial attempt at analysis; just the message that the Arab world is trying to finish off the genocide started by Europe. And if Laura is any yardstick, a lot of Americans buy that stuff.

These must be cleared by those souls who have been instrumental in placing them there. They are at present unaware of the reason for their presence, but will fully understand in course of time.

Israeli troops are storing the bodies of dead Hizbullah fighters in refrigerated containers for use in a possible prisoner swap, it emerged today.
The military, which admitted to the practice, would not say why it was keeping the bodies. But security officials told the Associated Press that Hizbullah corpses had been used as bargaining chips in a previous prisoner swap and they were being collected for the same reason now.

The army said six bodies of Hizbullah fighters had been taken back to Israel and were being held in refrigerators until Israel's political leaders decided what to do with them. Israel has special cemeteries for Palestinian and Lebanese militants killed in fighting with Israel. Under the Geneva conventions the burial of war dead "should be honourable, and, if possible, according to the rites of the religion to which the deceased belonged".

The quick burial of complete bodies is important in both the Jewish and Muslim faiths.

In early 2004, Israel swapped hundreds of Arab prisoners and scores of guerrilla corpses for three dead Israeli soldiers and a kidnapped Israeli businessman.

Israel's offensive against Hizbullah in Lebanon has liberated the utopian strain of neoconservatism that had been traduced by Iraq's sectarian civil war. And the secretary of state, Condoleezza Rice, has propelled herself forward as chief cheerleader. "What we're seeing here," she said, "are the birth pangs of a new Middle East." At every press conference she repeats the phrase "a new Middle East" as though its incantation is magical.
Her jaunt to the region is intended to lend the appearance of diplomacy in order to forestall it. As explained to me by several senior state department officials, Rice is entranced by a new "domino theory": Israel's attacks will demolish Hizbullah; the Lebanese will blame Hizbullah and destroy its influence; and the backlash will extend to Hamas, which will collapse. From the administration's point of view, this is a proxy war with Iran (and Syria) that will inexplicably help turn around Iraq. "We will prevail," Rice says.

wv: It made a lot of sense to me when I read that Hillary Clinton said she'd support the Democratic nominee in the Connecticut Senate race -- on the surface it appeared she met the demands of online activists who rightly think it's crazy that Chuck Schumer and other senate Dems said they'd support Lieberman even if he didn't win the party's nomination. But the deep reality, I thought, was simple payback from Hillary saying F-U to Lieberman for dogging Bill in his zipper-related Monica crisis.

I think that Hillary is just playing the good cop to Bill's bad cop, but they are both working toward the goal of Hillary becoming the Democratic Presidential nominee in 2008.

Hillary gets to sit on the sidelines and be above the fray while Bill throws out that crap line about the Democrats shouldn't be arguing over a war we didn't start. Earth to Bill, the Democrats who voted to give Bush authority to wage war against Iraq are just as responsible as Bush is because for most of them including Hillary it was a politically calculated vote. Unless they were braindead they knew Bush was lying but didn't want to be labeled weak on national security.

THE LEO New Moon is just a few hours away, as I get ready to wrap up for the night. The Moon is void of course, as of this writing. I was watching a rerun of last nights Jon Stewart and it was hilarious. The "7 year cycle" is part of the Saturn cycle, it conjuncts, squares, opposes in seven year increments. Saturn is always thought of as having made adjustments and changes, every seven years when it comes back around to aspect itself you get to see if those adjustments are of value. Yes, it is common knowledge that before the influx of European Jews into Israel, the Christian, Moslem and Jewish peoples lived quietly side by side.

I've only been studying them (Magi Soc. and Dr Mitchell Gibson books) for a few months and find them to be important clarifying points for my understanding of a chart. Unfortunately, I can't get hold of the planetary declinations for pre1950 years anywhere.Do you or any Astroworlders know a site or book I can use that contains the planetary declinations before 1950?
According to Dr Gibson, if any of the Crazies in charge of the gov't are truely borderline schizophrenics their charts should have some of the following in them.
Parallels: Sun/Merc, Moon/Nept, Venus/Merc, Jupiter/Uranus, Sun/Venus
Contra-parallels: Pluto/Merc, Sun/Pluto
Pluto &/or Mercury between 21-23.30 degrees declination
In addition, he says the schizos could have these planetary aspects:
Conjunction: Merc/Venus
Trines: Nept/Mars, Saturn/Moon
