I have a theory that politics is the career path for psychopaths. See if you can’t find our leaders in this group http://faculty.ncwc.edu/toconnor/428/428lect16.htm (Sally Cheyne McDonald) To the hallowed halls of Congress we have elected drug addicts, alcoholics, pathological liars, thieves, thugs, bullies; we have all of that and worse. We pay them, we the people pay them, and worship at their designated alters. As a body, who are these people? What happens to them when they get to Washington or were their problems there before they joined that august exclusive “gang of thieves” in DC? The collective Congress of the United States has a couple of charts to consider. One chart is the original Congress (but there isn’t a lot of difference) April 6, 1789, 12pm in New York, NY. The second was when they made their new home in Washington, DC on November 17, 1800 at 9:00 am; the House and Senate were sworn in together both times. Although the Suns and Moon are different, there are important astrological signs that point to a seamless transition. The Sun in the 1789 chart conjunct the NN in the 1800 chart and transiting Pluto in the 1800 chart is squaring the 1789 Moon indicating an emotional break with the original Congress. For those reasons I feel confident in using the 1800 Washington DC date as the origination of our present day Congress and for the first time in their history, Pluto went over their Ascendant and Venus last year and is resting in the first house. We know what Pluto in the first house can do to an individual or a country; destruction then change and rebuilding. Venus is in the first house of this chart and conjunct the Ascendant so transiting Pluto hit that point and Venus rules the mid-heaven. The interesting thing about Venus in the 1st house is the tendency to promise more than can be delivered, I would say that covers Congress. Their Mercury is in Sagittarius falling into the 12th, so does the Moon. That entire combination of Moon, Mercury, Venus in Sagittarius, covering the 12th and the 1st, adds up to talk a lot and drop the ball a lot and steeped neck high in hidden agenda’s. Their Scorpio Sun on the 12th house cusp helps them to keep those agenda’s too well hidden. Jupiter is in the 8th and trine the Moon in the 12th, with the Moon ruling the 8th. They are very very adept at taking and using other people’s money (taxes) in fact the people who give that money (us) may grouse and grumble but we gladly give those taxes in the belief we have hired people who know what they are doing and we don’t have to look at the fact we are being robbed blind. Congress breaks down into fundamentally two very weak parties that seem to serve each other and/or fight each other like fractious children. Progressed Pluto (the control planet) is getting ready to square the natal Moon over the next several months, transiting Uranus was conjunct p-Pluto and square n-Moon last year, signaling to Congress that their illusion of control over the people was going to be challenged and it absolutely will be challenged this next election cycle, with perhaps “the people” losing one more time, or Congress losing their power for this 230 year round. Some would say they already have lost their power. One thing for sure is this election cycle will be an emotional one for all involved in those hallowed halls. While the cosmic design contains a variety of asteroids, fixed stars, black holes, quasars, and unnamed planets that impact our earthly existence, there are the traditional 10 planets plus Chiron that astrologers track to gain a mathematical picture of people, countries and events there are two planets standing above all the others in reading a chart. Those planets are the Sun and Moon; nothing takes their place in importance. The Sun is the heart of a chart and the Moon the soul or spirit, what happens to them is the major definition of a person or an entity’s energetic experience of this life. In 1992/1993 transiting Pluto was conjunct the Sun and square Saturn in the chart of the US Congress. Newt Grin rich and the GOP broke the back of Congress, the Democrats and checks and balances in this country. The GOP doesn’t realize it but there was as much damage done to their party, their integrity and their power as to the Democrats with their “New Contract with America.” You’ll find an interesting phenomena in a progressed chart, with the Sun and Moon; when the progressed Moon conjuncts the progressed Sun, there is a simultaneous ending and new beginning within the psyche of the spirit. The applied conjunction of the Moon to the Sun is the ending; the separating conjunction is the beginning and commencement of a 14 year seeding cycle. When the Moon reaches the opposition, one begins reaping what they have sown. The United States Congress is in their ending cycle with an applied progressed Moon conjunction to the progressed Sun in Gemini. They must begin something new within the next two months. Right now they are floundering and they feel their unstable attempts to bring “their” reality back into focus, but it’s gone. The movement they feel under their feet is the new generation saying “lead, follow, or get out of the way,” and the power struggle for “the people’s” Congress is underway. This was a very difficult article for me to write, it’s mostly a cut and dried astrological article. I’ve looked at the charts of Congress, the US, the Democrat Party, the Republican Party charts. In all astrological charts I do, I look for the spirit of the entity, the country, the event, the person, the spirit in these charts are gone, except in the chart of America and that’s confused. It’s almost been like looking at empty wheels, blank slates. But, blank slates can be written up, the spirit can be revived. We’ve lost our way, our leaders have lost their way and the very fact that we see it indicates we can heal and grow. In 2004 it was Moveon.org that inspired and pushed us forward. Now we have Daily Kos with Marcos and MYDD with Jerome, their prescient book “Crashing the Gate” that is supplying the inspiration to move us forward and give us tools to take control of the destiny of our country, our lives, I don’t know who will be the voices in 2008, but there will be others. In a book by Todd Siler “Think Like a Genius” he talks of “matter, energy and meaning.” In relating to Einstein’s special theory of relativity and Einstein’s belief in matter being frozen energy, but unfrozen, subatomic particles become hugely powerful, like the energy released in a nuclear explosion. I feel this country, and I suspect the rest of the world, is in a suspended state of frozen energy, eventually the right voice, the right message will thaw that energy and the power of it will be felt throughout the earth, beginning first at the sub-atomic level. With the outer planets, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto and Chiron, all traveling the universal signs of Sagittarius, Aquarius and Pisces we are and will be continually forced to dig deeper and deeper for truth and meaning, including our Congressional leaders and bless their hearts, we’ve grown out of platitudes and rhetoric. The planets in the universal signs pretty much rip away our vanities, our masks, our shallowness. You will see Congress as a whole circle their empty wheel and wagon, and then one by one the brave ones will move into the open with the hands up asking “don’t shoot.” Another year of this incompetence at the top and we will all work together to find a new type of leader. One thing that bends me toward Al Gore or John Edwards is they got out of the beltway and have been living and working with real honest to gosh people, and have had the opportunity to do a little self-examination. Those on the “inside beltway” and that includes media, corporate lobbyists, and politicians have finally gotten what they wanted, nearly complete isolation from the people. Now they have their own private Alcatraz in Washington. The Full Moon in Sagittarius and Gemini eclipsed the progressed Sun in the Congress 1st Sitting chart, they will have to make changes and find their spirit once again because they've been shut out. The game is up for them and their "sting operation" is all but over - oh happy day. I do have a little suggestion to help us all find those leaders; begin looking at yourself and others as having color, bright vibrant colors and define your own personal universe.

I watched CSpan today and the big event in the House were several bills/ resolutions condeming China on human rights, religious freedom and government control of Internet. What was funny to me is that they sounded like they were talking about the U.S.: - "runner-stamp parliament" - one-party control - government control of religion (in response to the Chinese governement picking its own bishops, not the Vatican) - government surveillance and imprisonment of the population It went on and on, I didn't know if I wanted to laugh or cry. Not surprising, though, the chamber was mostly empty except for two Republicans and Tom Lantos, the Democratic representative from SF who rubber-stamped all the rhetoric. It's as though i, like so many other Americans, have come to expect crimes to go unpunished, come to expect nothing but the most heinous behavior. My own attitude upsets me! for these incredible vain and pompous "states"-people fondle my money in their pockets. And money that i would gladly give to raise this country's consciousness, to feed, clothe, and educate. And Michael, did you see the articles regarding solar power water heater use in China? It's skyrocketing. Some 80 million Chinese are now using it (some with hot water for the first time in their lives). This rhetoric about China rings hollow since it's merely a diversionary tactic. Saturn opposed his Mars and the South Node went over his Saturn, that could have brought something unpleasant for Karl, but it looks like it wasn't an indictment. I thought Rove would be indicted, I feared he would not, but I don't know what happened unless Fitzgerald got all he needed from Rove, he did keep him over the fire for a long time. One for the poor and one for the rich, one for black and brown and one for white. It's true we seem to have instutionalized a "Judge Roy Bean" kind of justice for the country, and no one knows how to get it back, but I feel there is a way, we just cannot see it right now. There is certainly a sense of hopelessness, however I never saw a door close that one didn't open. In Colorado the Election Commission in Denver County either lost or had stolen 150,000 voter registrations during an 8 year period and we are being told to place a fraud alert on our credit report. I called the Sec. of State's office because I would be in that 150,000 and asked to tell me again what to do. She was very angry and let me know it wasn't them but the Election Commission. I asked how this could happen and I got more anger, she said "have you noticed how much of this is happening around the country, people need to ask questions on how this could keep happening." She was obviously as angry about it as I was. It is a mess out here and most of us feel at a loss as to what to do. I would agree with Ms. Noonan too if it weren't for the fact she wrote a similar article before the 2002 midterm elections. The unsaid word is to "don't vote" it will do you no good. I think that's what they all want, don't vote. But I will vote, and continue to vote even if it isn't counted so I can be there to demand an answer to my uncounted vote. I do think Ms. Noonan makes valid points and she does capture the emotion people are feeling out here beyond Alcatraz, and looking around for a new party, a new leader would be first on my agenda. We are in the final stages of the death process - acceptance of what is, facing our illusion of immortal life. Gosh, do ya think? The man thinks he is preordained to be president. He's delusional enough to think he is entitled to the job. He has been running ever since he lost to Bush.
I thought he was making documentaries.
If he is not, he should. His documentary on global warming is a thoughtful and poignant statement of the world's condition and reflects substantially on the character of the man. He would have my vote -- again.
Clearly Gore is a man on a quest, a Don Quixote -- and science agrees with him -- who is charging deadly windmills that threaten us all. Gore needs us as his Sancho Panza. But run for president? No. Saving the world is a much bigger fish.
Gore would love to be drafted as the Democrats' standard-bearer. But he appears to be smart enough not to go there unless he has support from the preponderance of the party factions. I would shudder to see Hillary go up against even the most civilized of the GOP, McCain. A Gore-Clinton ticket? Maybe.
He obviously thinks he's running for president. I hope he's wrong.

A BUZZFLASH READER CONTRIBUTION Well it seems that Karl Rove is truly above the law when no indictment will be filed against him in the CIA leak case. My guess is that national security means nothing to the United States government if he can get away with this scott-free. In a press release by BuzzFlash.com it stated: I am not at all disappointed about Rove. I saw that writing on the wall long ago. I think his power is diminished enough and that's the most important thing. Well I have my doubts. When the NN gets into Pisces and Saturn Opposes Neptune, we'll see about the genius of the scott free Rove. I agree that the basement cleaning should proceed. I think Pluto is just about through exposing the filth and the rest of the time will be spent sending it to the dumpsite. The people have had a real glimpse. Sometimes it takes a minute to process and digest. And even longer to know what to do. There's a natural sequence. The bill levels wild, unsubstantiated accusations against the PA including the desecration of Christian holy sites and the forced submission to "Islamic law" and arbitrary imprisonment of Palestinian Christians. Not once does the bill mention that Palestinians of all religions continue to live under a brutal, debilitating Israeli occupation. I got an email n today saying that he voted to save net neutrality...he isn't a bad guy, and I live in quite a liberal area, and he gets totally re-elected all the time. Anyway, I know what you mean about the weird feeling of wondering exactly WHO they are talking about. China is going to nail our butts to a red wall soon, I think. Sally....that is one terrific article, I am glad it wasn't the cut and dry kind. Today the moon is in Capricorn, and it always makes me somewhat down (perhaps it is just that 'reality' factor). And tired. I can't imagine what we are going to feel like with Pluto in Cap. And I really enjoyed reading the article on sociopaths/psychos....except I kept seeing my own self profiled in it! Sometimes I think it is true, artists are sociopathic. Posted by: judiGem on June 14, 2006 04:13 AMSally, I also think Ann Coulter really fits the descriptions....I think I posted about seeing her on Bill Maher mayer 4 years ago (Real Time with Bill Maher)...she 'guested' a lot there, supposedly friends with him, although I could detect not a single wit of warmth from her towards him...but I felt quite strongly that she was very 'disturbed' on a pretty deep level. She has since gone farther out on that path. I liked the NYT line of having 'thetorical tourette's syndrome' And I do think that impeachment is onhold with Dems for a good reason....mainly, Darth Vadar then becoming prez. If, as Daily Kos report said, Rove gets off if info will take down Vadar, then....it makes sense. But it is the only way it makes sense. (they were good...) Graphic novels weren't commercial (read: 'important') and still may not be to mainstream art schools. But they've been around for decades, and were always the food of the masses, like pulp fiction of art. And Maus was just incredible. Maybe that is the best thing about graphic novels, they so far haven't become (except for movies being made from the popular ones) very 'commercial' in art schools. hey, Mark MOrford wrote a whole column on IED syndrome that is one of his best... Stan, the Democrat Party was first formed by Jefferson as the party of the people May 13, 1792 in Philadelphia and it was called the Democrat-Republican Party. There isn't any time because none was recorded. Noon seems a good time to take, it wasn't so easy to get to meetings in 1782 too early in the morning, so they didn't really start until about 10:00am for any meeting. Because of an argument between Adams and Jackson in 1832 the Jackson Democrats split off and became the Democrat Party on May 21, 1832 in Baltimore where they held their first National Convention. In fact it was the Democrats who started the concept of a National party convention and not to be outdone the Republicans followed suit in 1834. Again there isn't really a time but remember, the people who came had to come by horseback in advance, there were sleeping quarters in 1832 or places to get food and it would have been late in the morning before their gavel came down, so the 12:00 noon chart is a good one to follow on either of these dates. The Democrats themselves alternate between who they identify with the Jefferson branch or the Jackson branch, and I use them both, but historians consider the Baltimore 1832 National Convention as the "father" of modern Democrat Party. Kennedy is unambiguous in his claim that the 2004 election was stolen by the Republicans. This is a remarkable political event. The legitimacy of a sitting president is being challenged by a socially and politically active member of America's best known political family. In addition, the challenger, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., is a consistent advocate for a wide variety of liberal causes. From promoting greater economic justice to protection of the global environment, Kennedy has been there for liberals. Just eleven days after the article appeared, Associated Press ran a major story with an even handed discussion of the 2004 election in Ohio and New York Times Op-Ed Columnist Bob Herbert ran a strongly worded column supporting Kennedy. How odd it is that Kennedy's bold assertion and well documented case met with a carping attack from Salon Magazine, a self styled journal for open minded progressives. My article examines the editorial stance of two national media outlets on the left that bothered to take a public position on the charge that the 2004 presidential election was stolen. Salon published a major attack on Robert F. Kennedy Jr.s charges in their June 3, 2006 edition. But as we who study and observe astrology very well know, change is a constant. And while resistance might not necessarily be futile, when delayed, it is often far more painful. Unfortunately, Pluto transiting early Capricorn (prior to the Square) will likely see status quo interests gain even more power initially, or as Pluto itself suggests, a vicious, no-holds-barred struggle for survival through consolidation of power. Even if the GOP loses Congress this Fall or in 2008, look for an all out assault on the Democrats, progressives and liberals in the aftermath by the still Conservative, Corporate-controlled media, and by the big monied interests invested in the corporations themselves. I believe, however, that many of the liberal/progressive organizations will also have to “justify” themselves to Capricorn Pluto, so it’s not as if we won’t have some means by which to fight back. Our key turning point however, I believe, will come in Feburary 2012, when Neptune finally leaves Aquarius (fog over humanity), by which point Uranus will be in Aries. If there is a time for Americans as a whole to finally snap out of the stupor they’ve been in since at least 2000, this will be it. Personally, when I look at the coming transits for 2012, I get very worried, not just for the US but for the World. I see many wars and a huge anti-government and anti-corporate movement that will be very violent. Also, transits with Neptune show huge storms and floods, so there are some horrible enviromental issues. Honestly, I don't think that the US will be around as we know it. I think there will probably be a North American regional zone. Growing up on the border with Mexico, I have always known that the border was porous. To me, I think that that is the reason for the wave of anti-immigrant feelings. It's the typical Republican response of resisting change. We complain that the latinos are moving here, yet if you have been to Mexico anytime recently, you would know that Americans are taking over Mexico! I just noticed another interesting thing in peeking ahead a tiny bit. When Pluto goes into Capricorn it will quickly oppose the USA Venus in the 7th. Saturn will be in Virgo in the 9th. Looks like possible repairs of foreign relations. Then Saturn will go into Libra in the 9th as Pluto goes on to the the 7th house jupiter continuing the transformation our relationships. First of all, the people of this country want the Dems back in and unless there is some quirk of fate, that will happen. Some big things pop out in the charts. I used the Dixville election chart and the Astroworld charts of the parties. The problem is the square to Mars, Sun, Venus, Mercury, and Jupiter in Scorpio. The Jup at 26 squares the Saturn and power struggles are there. The Repub Moon at 24 Scorpio, however, exactly squares the Saturn. Not a happy one, although the Jup conjunction looks good. So maybe one chamber will be lost. The main point is that our selection of leaders starts to be taken seriously and I think it might. The other almost exact conj. is the Dem 23 Taurus Sun to the election 22 MC. This election chart probably always has Taurus on the Midheaven so I think it's saying that the Dems are more in synch with the country in general. But the most interesting thing is the packed Scorpio 3rd house quincunx the Moon in Gemini intercepted in the 10th. AND Mercury retrograde. This I'm not sure about yet, and would love to hear some ideas. A lot of Pluto/Mercury. There are some issues about mind control (Scorp 3rd), and the desire for new ideas with that Moon up there in Gem. And probably desire for truth. It looks a lot like one chamber to each, but more than that, it looks like a serious election with some new interest and responsibility in our society. Posted by: Neith on June 19, 2006 06:31 AMShy, To respond to the question you posted earlier, I think Obrador for Mexico does represent another wave among the revolutionary tide of progressive-populists (Chavez in Venezuela, Kirchner in Argentina, Bachelet, Lula in Brazil, etc.) that are ascending to power in Latin America, a sweeping trend that -- much to the chagrin of Bush-Cheney-Rove and Co -- will likely continue. I was trying to recall where I read about the astrological significance of this sweeping trend, and now I do. Maya del Mar posted on it back in February, and it turns out that this shift is a product of the Uranus-Neptune conjunction of 1993: --- This is a new turn of the wheel of independence for Latin America. The marker is the Neptune-Uranus conjunction, which occurs every 171 years. The last one occurred in 1993, at 19 Capricorn. That last meeting of these two big guys was at the end of October 1993, when NAFTA and the WTO were passed. It eas only a little over two months later in southern Mexico that the Zapatistas began their campaign for liberation to work the land in dignity. At the time a bell rang for me, and I wrote that the Zapatistas were the vanguard of a new movement for social justice in Latin America. Twelve years later, we are still plunging into the beginning of that cycle. The prior conjunction of Uranus and Neptune was in 1821-22, at 2 Capricorn. At the beginning of the nineteenth century, Latin America was under Spanish rule. Simon Bolivar, a Venezuelan, had the grand vision of liberating and uniting all of Latin America in a network of independent nations. He worked, fairly successfully, to accomplish this goal from 1807-1830. Many of the Latin countries celebrate birthdays around 1821. At the same time, in 1823, United States President Monroe issued the “Monroe Doctrine,” essentially declaring that Latin America was part of the U.S. sphere of influence, and that Europe was not to meddle in it. The U.S. began then an economic (and sometimes military) colonization of Latin America, and that region simply switched from Spanish imperialism to U.S. imperialism. Now the people themselves, in each country, are rebelling against U.S. imperialism. And they are doing it democratically. For years, the US has supported harsh, oppressive dictatorships (think Pinochet) that were rather friendly to Washington and our corporate interests, but murderously brutal towards their own people. When movements such as the marxist Sandinistas in Nicaragua did emerge and threaten to effectively challenge and break that status quo, the CIA and rather thuggish brutes like Negroponte were sent in by the corporate interests' political buddies (i.e. Poppy Bush) to put them down. However, Hugo Chavez's success in surviving the US' backed Coup, the subsequent, successive elections of socialist/progressive populist candidates in other Latin American countries, as well as the growing influence of China in Latin America, all very strongly suggest that the United States' ability to maintain and enforce its power and influence in Latin America under the Monroe Doctrine is fading fast. Much of that is likely the result of Bush, Cheney and Co. spreading US resources so thin in Iraq and the Middle East. But for Latin America, Bush couldn't have come into power at a better time. Obrador, should he win in July, will be in an unusual yet very advantageous position: as a socialistic populist leader of one of North America's 3 largest countries (if you also factor in Central America and the Carribbean) and with policies diametrically opposed to the pro-corporatist and anti-populist US Bush regime. Our corporate, right-wing media, which already bends over backwards to make sure every mention of Obrador's name has the word "Leftist" nearby, will likely continue to cast him in the same light as "those dreaded socialists" Chavez and Castro. But I believe that his policies will mark a major watershed shift in Mexico, perhaps finally enabling them to reach "first word status" and even eventually surpassing the US in many aspects of quality of life, such as guaranteed retirement for elderly Mexicans (assuming that RW-rule continues here until at least until 2012, though I certainly hope not!). Imagine if our current border situation were reversed, and Mexico were fighting to keep out Americans? Ten years ago, we would probably laugh at that idea. But in today's climate, and with anti-progress, ignorant and stubborn Right-Wingers desperately clinging to power here in the face of mounting needs for reform and change, maybe that picture isn't so far fetched... I do think knowledge of Obrador's reforms will find their way into the US through alternative media, just as we know about what Chavez has accomplished in Venezuela. What would really be interesting is if Obrador could somehow offer relief programs to some disadvantaged US citizens as Chavez has done with discounted Oil -- maybe some sort of health care or retirement program? It would go a long way towards undermining Bush and the Right Wing here, and might serve to inspire if not rally the grassroots here into pressing even harder for social relief and reforms in Washington. So, in short, I think Obrador will have a major impact on both Mexico and the US, heavily in favor of the people and social-progressive movements. Unfortunately, I'm not so good with personal charts just yet, so maybe Sally or someone can actually project from a personal-chart astrological perspective if Obrador will defeat the status quo in the form of Vicente Fox's successor, Felipe Calderón, on July 2? One could still somewhat plausibly assert, as many did, that warnings of a major civic crisis were unfounded, overblown or premature, as there was little evidence of widespread corporate censorship, and so we were a long way from the sort of journalistic meltdown that The Nation had predicted. Thus was the growing threat of media concentration treated much like global warming, which, back then, was also slighted as a "controversial" issue ("the experts" being allegedly at odds about it), and one whose consequences, at their worst, were surely centuries away--a catastrophic blunder, as the past decade has made entirely clear to every sane American. Now, as the oceans rise and simmer and the polar bears go under, only theocratic nuts keep quibbling with the inconvenient truth of global warming. And now, likewise, few journalists are quite so willing to defend the Fourth Estate, which under Bush & Co. has fallen to new depths. Although its history is far from glorious, the US press has never been as bad as it is now; and so we rarely hear, from any serious reporters, those blithe claims that all is well (or no worse than it ever was). Contrary to the counterclaims in 1996, there was, as The Nation noted then, copious hard evidence of corporate meddling with the news, and also, even more important, lots of subtler evidence of reportorial self-censorship throughout the media cartel. And yet what stood out as egregious back then seems pretty tame today, now that the press consistently tunes out or plays down the biggest news, while hyping trivialities, or, if it covers a disaster, does so only fleetingly and without "pointing fingers." I don't have Obrador's birth info but I haven't looked with a lot of energy on this, except studying Mexico as the country and where they are. (profection charts are used extensively for "years of winning" they've been used a lot in presidential predictions I had a couple of articles on it back in 2000 but I haven't found them to always work, except in really bad years. I notice Bush has a complete return in his profection chart this year, a new beginning so to speak.) I don't see alot that says Mexico is going to go the way of the rest of Latin America and there is a couple of aspects that indicate Mexico will get a Fox clone, but I will find the birthchart of Obrador and do a more extensive reading on it. Respondents were asked whether they would "definitely vote for," "consider voting for," or "definitely not vote for" three Democrats and three Republicans who might run for president in 2008. Regarding potential Democratic candidates, 47 percent of respondents said they would "definitely not vote for" both Clinton, the junior senator from New York who is running for re-election this year, and Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts, the party's candidate in 2004. (Poll) Forty-eight percent said the same of former Vice President Al Gore, who has repeatedly denied he intends to run again for president. John McCain of Arizona and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani fared better than the Democrats, and Florida Gov. Jeb Bush fared worse. Safavian was convicted on four of five felony counts of lying and obstruction. He resigned from his White House post last year as the federal government's chief procurement officer. No date was immediately set for sentencing. The trial consumed eight days of testimony about Safavian's assistance to Abramoff regarding government-owned real estate and a weeklong golfing excursion the lobbyist organized to the famed St. Andrews golf course in Scotland and London. Safavian went on the trans-Atlantic trip while he was chief of staff at the General Services Administration, and other participants were Rep.
