MAD MAX THUNDERDOME
HELP US, HELP US, PLEASE PLEASE HELP US. (Cries heard from shelters and rooftops around New Orleans) AND PLUTO IS DIRECT TODAY She slammed into the Big Easy with all the fury of the world’s anger lashing with her. America awakened to a Monday that would see New Orleans destroyed and people trapped not realizing they would be abandoned like their city was being abandoned.
Pluto too is sitting there and has been sitting patiently, quietly, making sure his heavy hand is felt upon Louisiana (conjunct her Moon and oppose her Venus) Mississippi (conjunct her Jupiter, Neptune and square her Pluto) Alabama (conjunct her Sun and Uranus and square her Saturn) The fact is, Pluto will affect several states in the South, look for Georgia to erupt soon, probably over gasoline and their own over-developed infrastructure. Pluto turns direct in opposition to the US Mars and will square US Neptune. The very depth of depravity that this aspect bespeaks and which we have seen in Iraq is coming home to our shores. There is a place in the brain where people go when trying to survive, it’s the oldest most primitive part of the brain called the Reptilian Brain and therein lies the worst of ourselves, the animal, instinctive part. We will do whatever it takes to survive when afraid. Some say Karl Rove has been a genius in tapping into our Reptilian selves encouraging us to behave from the “worst” part of ourselves. And if we are not careful this disaster will be turned into the worst part of ourselves. Our leaders use disasters for their own benefit. http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/sfl-fema23mar23,0,5144922.story?coll=sfla-news-utility What could be the benefit of Katrina? One almost gets the sense that leaving a segment of the poorest of the population in Dante’s Inferno was amusing, planned. Perhaps that is the new charge of FEMA, “when disaster strikes, whoever doesn’t get out, dies.” Could Bush have been looking for ways to start riots in this country so martial law could be installed? There are companies and people lined up to help the hurricane victims and they cannot get into Mississippi or Louisiana. There is water and food available and could be given to them but has been denied. Why would that be? A congress that saunters back to Washington to enact a Bill for Aid and only God knows when or if that money will be distributed. Why? The greatest national disaster to hit the United States and there is little to point to that’s been done after 5 days. Why? They don’t want to. Look at Iraq, the only reliable services is within the Green Zone, the people don’t matter. It feels as if we have been taken over by the “pod” people, and they have their own “Green Zone” in Washington. They had no plan because a plan isn’t important except in Texas and Florida. We will see “refugee” camps for Americans, guarded by our own soldiers. The most dramatic effect of Pluto is like the sewage water being pumped out of the Big Easy, pumping out the life of the George Bush presidency begun January 20, 2001 as Pluto turns on 21 degrees Sagittarius, and conjuncts Inaugural Chart 2001 Solar Arc, Pluto and squares SA Venus. He is about to lose everything. He will lose Iraq and the hearts and minds of the American People. There has been an eerie silence across the country as the disaster of Katrina unfolds, there is almost a dream like state in America (unless you read the bloggers) about NO. Neptune is conjunct the Inaugural Mercury, but retrograde Mars in Taurus will have the effect of bringing the magnitude of the loss home soon enough and that must be our prayer. Mars retrogrades on the Fixed Star Siran and he will be full of himself, swaggering, hubris, smirking and losing the hearts and minds. And the lies, oh my the lies, he will have to be tap dancing faster to support his war and the pandemonium in New Orleans because there isn’t enough National Guard to Guard the states. All resources in this country has been drained off for Iraq and soon people will figure out we are on our own if there is another disaster, we all can be left to die and floating in the streets and the hurricane season isn’t over, there are earth related disasters waiting to happen all over America. On top of everything else, Mr. Rezident has to endure Saturn conjunct his Ascendant and Mercury this fall. Even if he doesn’t feel uncaring and cold and disconnected from his fellow man, he will be perceived as such with every potential of becoming “Mad Max,” with New Orleans as his “Thunderdome.” And we must not make the mistake of believing our outcries will have an effect, we must continue to work toward freedom of America, because the agenda of this administration is crystal clear and no amount of talking or pleading is going to “shift” their eyes off their focus of enslaving the United States and it looks like African Americans will be first and we need to stand up for them as loudly as possible, if for no other reason than to save ourselves. What is happening in Louisiana and Mississippi is deliberate. If they tell you they didn't know, if they tell you they didn't realize, if they tell you they could not foresee, if they tell you they have sent help; don't believe them and they do not deserve to be called leaders. Remember that. Joe Scarbourgh, reporting from Mississippi.
Later this week I am beginning a Vedic series by Gary Gnomes, a leading Vedic astrologer and it will continue for 5 weeks.

This may finally be it, the big one, politically. The American people watched helplessly as their government did nothing. That is not a feeling "can do" Americans are comfortable with. But we can not sit back and think our vision has become their vision, quite suddenly. This is momentary and unless we keep our voices raised the people will hit the snooze button and fall back to sleep. Our local statio has been doing reports on the predictions of the dtorms to come for Sept. Five are expected, of the five four will be hurricanes and of the four two will be major. As Sally predicted this is going to be a terrible fall for B***, but it will also be so for all of us. Keep talking, talk to everyone around you, tell them the truth, for the day will come when they will finally hear what you are saying. Remember the hundreth monkey. Thank you Sally. And could you or the vedic astrologer tell us what the fall looks like for Cheney? Posted by: M. on September 2, 2005 07:14 PMYou are "telling it like it is" , Sally, as the '60s saying goes. And how right about the fruitlessness of crying out for some reasonable humane action. I am sick of petitioning our Little Boots. Let's sack the mad emperor rather than plead with him. Just saw Bush on CNN at some safe hangar somewhere on the Gulf Coast, saying (I'm paraphrasing as well as I can remember): "There is some good news--the such and such (oil) pipeline is now at 80% capacity." This just after the reports of the dead, the dying, and the desperate. Posted by: Barbara on September 2, 2005 07:23 PMM. the Vedic series that will be run is more of a tutorial on Vedic astrology, not predictive at this time, and you are so right about "keep on talking, keep on telling the truth and eventually they will hear" that is absolutely correct. Posted by: Sally on September 2, 2005 08:04 PMNo wonder it's been such a cluster-****. Check out the guy they hired to run FEMA. FEMA director Mike Brown, "A total ****ing disaster?" "An unmitigated, total ****ing disaster.: That's not a quote from Mike Brown, but rather, a quote describing him. And most disturbingly, it's not even a reference to his dismal performance as director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). This blunt critique was emailed to me from a regular reader who was apparently attracted to HorsesAss.org by her passion for politics and her love of Arabian horses. I think I've told you that I'm into Arab horses. Well, for 3 years Michael Brown was hired and then fired by our IAHA, the International Arabian Horse Assoc. He was an unmitigated, total ****ing disaster. I was shocked as hell when captain clueless put him in charge of FEMA a couple of years ago. He or the WH lied on the WH presser announcing him to FEMA. IAHA was never connected to the Olympic Comm, only the half Arab registry then and the governing body to the state and local Arabian horse clubs. He ruined IAHA financially so badly that we had to change the name and combine it with the Purebred registry. I am telling you this after watching the ****ing shipwreck in the Gulf. His incompetence is KILLING people. Yes, that's right the man responsible for directing federal relief operations in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, sharpened his emergency management skills as the Judges and Stewards Commissioner for the International Arabian Horses Association a position from which he was forced to resign in the face of mounting litigation and financial disarray. And what of that misleading White House press release? From 1991 to 2001, Brown was the Commissioner of the International Arabian Horse Association, an international subsidiary of the national governing organization of the U.S. Olympic Committee. I can't even begin to fact check the dates or IAHA's alleged relationship to the US Olympic Committee, because of course, the IAHA doesn't exist anymore, so there's nothing to Google. But it begs the question how the hell did his prior job experience prepare Brown to head FEMA? Well, judging by his agency's performance over the past few days [Cross-posted at Daily Kos] Posted by: mimi on September 2, 2005 08:07 PMI am fuming. I am at work and unable to watch the news reports on the shrub's visit to the Gulf Coast. But from what I'm reading in Salon's war room....words can't descibe what I am feeling right now. Posted by: Teresa on September 2, 2005 09:07 PMYou are right about not letting up. The Republican leadership announced they are going ahead with hearings on their new choice for the SCOTUS. Hearings begin Tuesday. They are also moving ahead with abolishing the estate tax (the hubris). All the while we were salivating over the Plame leaks, they were passing the bankruptcy bill (which will destroy most of those who survived Katrina), the energy bill, and CAFTA. They continue to get whatever they want. Posted by: FS on September 2, 2005 09:12 PMSally, your voice is a clear bell ringing whoever will listen to action. You, and all others, can count on the fact that my husband and i have been and will keep on saying WAKE UP! WAKE UP! The horror we have witnessed is made more so by the ugly, chest-pounding rhetoric of the "Rezident." (I could hear you saying the word derisevly as you wrote.) Coincidentally, there is more Iran jabbing going on. This makes me terribly nervous. If a nuclear event occurs here, we will know for a fact, that we are being pulled into Hell. karen Posted by: farrout on September 2, 2005 09:15 PMGuess what, Darth Cheney has Machiavelli (19730) natally at 2Cap59 on his 5th house cusp. Ham radio operators are reporting that communications in and around New Orleans are being jammed. There is some misinformation circulating on the web that the jamming is the resault of solar flares. Ham radio operators report that the flares are not the source of the communications jamming. Pluto in the first house hitting nSaturn I quess. - The gulf coast will be hit by another hurricane soon (neptune and Unarus in mutual reception). I hope I'm wrong. Posted by: Travieso on September 2, 2005 10:54 PMTraviso - WHOA! I was just getting the times and dates of what I posted on the Moon Beams thread and you just posted that above. It's chilling to read what I saw in my vision of the Fiend. Really kind of describes what's going on right now. My biggest fear now is that we are sitting ducks. I really, really hope the last thing I described is not going to happen. I really afraid of another Hurricane in the Gulf, but I really nervous about a well planned, "convenient terrorist" attack. Check my other post here for what I have been seeing around the Fiend the past few days. He's in big trouble on all fronts. The posts are on Moon Beams, Aug. 25 4:16am, 5:06am and 5:11 am. Our thoughts will definitely be on the details and getting organized. Posted by: Laurie on September 2, 2005 11:22 PMWe shouldn't even THINK of the possibility that a transformation will fail to occur and make all this suffering useless. There's got to be goodness in life to balance this force. I agree with Sally and I also think race riots are on their agenda for the future. That's why they put the assault weapons back on the streets. We are all in survival mode and this event has probably kicked off this truth. It is imperative that we are not manipulated into hate and prejuduce at this critical time. Our best weapons are our faith and and our solidarity and community as the family of man. I think we should all tweak our hate levels wherever they are directed. Posted by: on September 2, 2005 11:41 PMjm Posted by: on September 2, 2005 11:41 PMSally, JW Cybear, I think we already have descended into madness. It's as if we are still being hurled in the hurricane and haven't landed yet. We will act when we see where that is. We are on our own to take care of our own and that will ultimately give us strength and courage. Now is a time to thank the universe for being astrologers who see the incredible orchestration of it all. The exactness of transits is awe-inspiring and gives me faith in the overall outcome. I am praying that we take a step in evolution now so Pluto will have mercy on us as he leaves Sagittarius. We as metaphysicians have a big responsibility. Posted by: jm on September 3, 2005 12:22 AMAlso, Cybear, I think you have a point about voodoo and NO. Not that voodoo is the power but the propensity toward that belief. It always was a dangerous city. In fact, all cities are with their overly dense populations. The furies have been unleashed and we are not yet sure who they are targeting, but I am quite sure they will continue to rage. Safe places always exist. Posted by: jm on September 3, 2005 12:33 AMAnd, of course, as Pluto kicks off this demolition derby, we should look at Pluto in our own charts and what needs to be done to take this step forward in our own lives. Posted by: jm on September 3, 2005 12:37 AMPluto is turning direct, but please do not ignore the sesquiquadrate or 135 aspect of Saturn and Pluto. It passes on the 9th and I believe that the peak of this diasater will begin to decline then. Just because it is not easy to see, the 135 is potent with outer planets. This is the first hard aspect of Sat/Plu since August of 2001. Being that I spent some time in N.O. and explored some of those 'areas', I know there is a negative aspect there as well. "Being that I spent some time in N.O. and explored some of those 'areas', I know there is a negative aspect there as well. Posted by: JoannaOregon on September 3, 2005 01:27 AMI think voodoo was originally practiced in rural settings and when it came to the city it got corrupted as all things in the urban jungle do. All group activities, no matter how pure in original intent, have the danger of group hysteria present. Voodoo was probably manipulated and politicized, used for fear, as much as any other religious practice when applied to a larger society. Posted by: jm on September 3, 2005 01:35 AMJoannaO - Oh my no, you didn't step on my 'tail'. HaHa! :) There are alot of new agers and neo-wiccans that think everyone is all fluffy and those things are not a part of it. Just wanted to clarify that there is a negative aspect. It brings balance when working in those realms. There's a lot of negative energy down here on the Gulf Coast right now and I am lit up like a light bulb! I'm trying to stay grounded by long meditations, doing mantras and sending Reiki to those in need. Posted by: Cybear on September 3, 2005 01:41 AMjm - I not sure that's correct. There's a dark side to everything. Good & Evil, Black & White, Male & Female, Positive & Negative, God & Devil. It brings balance. Magick, Voodoo, or whatever is not black or white, it's the intent and the will behind it. Darker aspects of magick can be worked for a positive effect. Positive aspects of magick can bring a negative effect. It's the thoughts behind it. Posted by: Cybear on September 3, 2005 01:56 AMAnd that's why I love the earth-based spiritual system, Cybear... it embraces & integrates what appears to be "The Darkness," refusing to "split it off" thereby creating no end to horror & troubles. I just got a "CHAIN PRAYER" for the victims of The NO disaster!!!!!! They still don't get it!!!!! Check out this piece by the novelist E.L. Doctorow: "I fault this president for not knowing what death is. He does not suffer the death of our 21-year-olds who wanted to be what they could be. On the eve of D-Day in 1944 General Eisenhower prayed to God for the lives of the young soldiers he knew were going to die. He knew what death was. Even in a justifiable war, a war not of choice but of necessity, a war of survival, the cost was almost more than Eisenhower could bear. But this president does not know what death is. He hasn't the mind for it. You see him joking with the press, peering under the table for the weapons of mass destruction he can't seem to find, you see him at rallies strutting up to the stage in shirt sleeves to the roar of the carefully screened crowd, smiling and waving, triumphal, a he-man. He does not mourn. He doesn't understand why he should mourn. He is satisfied during the course of a speech written for him to look solemn for a moment and speak of the brave young Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country." full essay here: http://www.easthamptonstar.com/20040909/col5.htm Posted by: Timothy on September 3, 2005 02:24 AMWell I sent on Molly Ivan's article, with a rant of my own at the bottom. I hit the streets to see what mood the people were in, and found out that a brand new, hep, perfectly deep downtown located Blues club has just opened in my city. We know what we just lost. The Blues will be preserved and carried on. And at the monthly Friday Night Artwalk, held all over town in many neighborhoods, had music everywhere spilling into the streets. For the first time. The Democratic Party Headquarters there was open and jumping. New Orleans is gone forever. Even if they rebuild it will not be recognized as the same place. It's an intense experience to be in the midst of an event that will go down in history in a big way and will be remembered for its destruction of what was once a great and influentuial cultural mecca. Maybe it's some retribution since we did the same in Iraq. But we are making history now and we feel it. This is my theory as to why I believe George W. Bush will be leaving the arena. He's done what he intended to do, I think... be the only one in his unremarkable family to go down in history. And he's achieved it. I think impeachment would be a waste of precious energy. He's finished and we can think about who we want next and prepare. I, personally, would just like to see Rove removed. We have a chance here. We showed our strength by surviving this without help, so we are the ones with political capital now. We've earned a say. I think we are about to have a major event in Washington, D.C. on September 24, to discuss. A lot has been unleashed and set free in the last week. !!!!!!!!!!THEY KNEW EVERYTHING. THEY ARE GUILTY!!!!!!!!
******************IMPEACHMENT NOW******************* Transportation Management + Engineering magazine (TME One of the more critical, though commonly overlooked, aspects of transportation planning and management is evacuation Though they may be infrequent, the risk of not preparing for evacuations can be devastating. Evacuations have the potential to directly improve the safety of more people than any other single transportation scenario. In New Orleans, where the local topography virtually assures the inundation of the entire metropolitan area in most medium to strong hurricanes, a full evacuation of the area is a necessity and the price of not doing so could be measured in thousands of lives. In reality, however, there are relatively inexpensive and simple methods that transportation agencies can and are using to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of evacuations. Most emergency management officials agree that there is not enough roadway capacity or mass transit assets to completely evacuate major metropolitan population centers, like New Orleans or Miami, in two or three days The number of people without access to transportation in New Orleans has been estimated as high as 25-30% of the population and includes over a quarter million people. In addition to people without vehicles, potential evacuees can include the indigent, elderly, prisoners, the infirm and tourists. Evacuation of these low-mobility and special needs groups is an area that, while included in most state emergency operation plans, has been largely unaddressed by DOTs. However, many heavily populated cities do not have a sufficient supply of buses to move all low-mobility evacuees. The total number of buses in all of New Orleans would provide only a fraction of the capacity needed to transport all of these people. To counter this problem, Louisiana emergency management officials are working through local churches to encourage “good neighbor” strategies in which neighbors with means of transportation would assist those without during an evacuation. So President Bush has finally made it to the scene -- only four days after the storm. Unfortunately, there was no "bullhorn moment" a la his post-9/11 tour of Ground Zero -- no stirring rhetoric. Indeed, his staged briefing with the governors of Alabama and Mississippi did not inspire confidence or hope in anyone -- except maybe Trent Lott. And Lott's realtor. "The good news," said the president, "is that out of this chaos is going to come a fantastic Gulf Coast, like it was before. Out of the rubble of Trent Lott's house -- he's lost his entire house -- there's gong to be a fantastic house. And I'm looking forward to sitting on the porch." Yes, he actually said that. Way to look on the bright side, Mr. President. "Fantastic!" The president's sunny-side-up take on the Gulf Coast's Extreme Makeover came after Alabama Governor Bob Riley announced that he was launching "Operation Golden Rule." Uh, Governor... given what the authorities have been "doing unto" the beleaguered victims of Katrina, do you really think that's such a good idea? During the briefing, FEMA head Michael Brown and Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff, stood to the side, looking weak and ineffectual. Which, given their woeful performance and idiotic comments over the past few days, is probably just as well. At least they all had on their getting-down-to-business khakis. I hope New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin wasn't watching -- his head just might explode. Posted by: wv on September 3, 2005 12:40 PM
He even defended the administration's catastrophic response to Katrina. When asked on CNN whether the federal response was fast enough, Clinton bobbed, weaved, and fell back on this utterly absurd claim: "You and I are not in a position to make any judgment because we weren't there." C'mon, Bill, "...we weren't there"? I say this for another reason. Psychologically, every single one of us are experiencing the absolute disconnect between the government and "we the people." Even those holding fundamental believes may be SEEing for the first time. They now know that no help will be given to them in any disaster. Their god will not show up, all the money in the world will not save them, their "connections" will not be worth a damn. The reasons to believe in this government have literally been blown away. The revolution is here. Rove and all miscalculated. Their undoing will not come soon enough. karen Posted by: farrout on September 3, 2005 02:02 PMClinton: was never the same after his second heart 'operation' =lobotomy. I did write the BBC and the Guardian asking them to stop calling these people "refugees" they are not. They are American Citizens and have not had to be sent from their country. They are displaces, evacuees, survivors and they are still in their country. I was more or less reacting to the right wingers who are saying the local & state gov. was not prepared and we are unnecessarily criticizing the pResident!!! We are SO proud of our mayor and governor, but particularly of our mayor because he has told the truth about the lack of response very directly and cast aside the need to be politically correct. He is the best! He has been worried from the word go and done everything within his power to help. Maybe the locals could have been more proactive...I'm sure they could have...but obviously they were hampered by funds. Unfortunatey, these people and this city has to be the scapegoat so that the entire country and all of the governing entities can now see the need to put safety and protection above more frivalous concerns. Just maybe this will awaken a few dense brains to the waste of our resources to rebuild a country we tore down, as well as the need to act more proactively against global warning. In fact, the lesson here should be to not trust government, as Bill O'Reilly of all people said. Posted by: Sharon on September 3, 2005 10:27 PMMy astrology mentor told me that the black race was ruled by Neptune. They do seem to take the burden of suffering of mankind on their shoulders. And spiritual advancement also seems to be theirs. The white businessmen bought the black people from the dealers, chained them in ships, and confined them here into slavery. Then they they set them free with no survival skills in the immense white world, where they proceeded to hang them from trees. Then came all these years of oppression and recently the snatching back of the vote they were falsely 'given'. The white rock fake musicians stole their blues and made billions. If this keeps up, the black man will be a superhuman. They have lived through it all and this is something they are equipped to handle. Soon the destitute white man will be seeing and hearing that unmistakable ring of joy and laughter as they recover once again. There is always compensation somewhere for the things we are denied. The sick bloated white man will soon be witnessing triumph an an elevation of human spirit. And once again, he will be left out. Here is an article I found: http://www.onlinejournal.com/Special_Reports/090205Pfeiffer/090205pfeiffer.html Posted by: Patricia on September 3, 2005 11:06 PMJm, I know that you are trying to uplift the image of the "black man" and I commend you for that. However, I must say I don't think that the "black man" is ruled by anything other than the general planetary energies that we deal with as individuals. We are children of this Earth. We are all so genetically linked that we truly are brothers. I live in a world where race catogoization is more of an upper-class anglo concern then a concern for us. I know that I look very anglo unlike my cousins, yet we all feel the same way. It's kinda funny that I look anglo but speak better Spanish then they do, while they look very indian and can't speak a lick. I think with the younger generation which is more mixed, less racist, and less prejudice, the concept of race will die out with the dodo bird. As for now, I think this horrific event just shows that Bush and Co. only care about Americans when it is politically advanteous. That is why he visited those rich mansions on the beaches of Mississippi before we even thought about New Orleans. Rich christian conservatives in Miss. are his people - not the poor downtrodden minorities in New Orleans. The republican mindset is - "if you are not like us, you are not one of us. Therefore, you are less human then us." This is truly the republican mantra. Sick isn't it. One of the arts' districts in my town is collecting art supplies which will be delivered by art therapists to help the children who survived Katrina. And here's a good one: "Europtics is holding 'Eye of the Storm', a monthlong promotion where, for every pair of eyeglasses purchased, Europtics will donate a pair of glassas for hurricane victims." What a thought. I bet a lot of folks will need them. Posted by: jm on September 3, 2005 11:37 PM"The republican mindset is - "if you are not like us, you are not one of us. Therefore, you are less human then us." This is truly the republican mantra. Sick isn't it." Travieso, my friend. This is the same thing as racism. Republicans are part of this genetic pool you just spoke of and the are all individually unique. It does us all no good to keep hating them so much. This kind of blanket judgement without knowing anything about the individual sets us back. I understand completely how you feel but we've got to stop hating sometime.
Feel that the souls who have taken on this trauma karma in their physical bodies are leaving a legacy to wake up America, forcing America to look in the mirror and feel it's pain. Sending them off in the highest vibrations of light. Swaha. America has the history of doing in their natives. (Beasley, the best time is when we go back to the freedom of the child; child-like is not childish. In the moment is the point of wonder and not projection). Karma payback for the need for oil (or to be) above human life. Makes sense to me. And wasn't the Governor of MS the one who helped polluters by lowering standards for ecological protections. * is toast from here on in. The sharks are circling they smell blood. People of all stripes were quiet and kept the frustration level low key. I totally thought of NO and it was said on the train as well as * is a @%$%. Tee Hee, the world knows. I'm not hating, I'm angry. There is a difference. Sure, the republican party is made up of individuals - individuals that I respect on a personal level everyday because I work with them, live them, and socialize with them. However, I have a right to my feelings for what this adminsitration has done in the name of that party they have voted for... and anger brings the social and political change we need so that people like me aren't treated like second-class citizens. I used to think 20 years ago that someday people like me would be excepted by the year 2000. Liberalism and progressive thought was just so rational and loving that all would see it for what a great idea it was. But, I have seen somethings get worse because we have not fought for our rights. So now, I fight whenever I can for my rights are a human being in non-violent and peaceful discourse. And this comes out of anger, because I realise now that my rights will not be given to me, I have to fight for them. You see, that's the difference between hate and anger. Anger is what MLK and Ghandi felt. It was what spurred them to seek change. Hate is what Rudolph and skinheads feel which have led them to dehumanize others and a life of violence. That is the difference. Posted by: Travieso on September 3, 2005 11:57 PMTravieso - Very well said. MLK and Gandhi channeled their anger in constructive ways instead of letting it turn into hatred. I received this from one of our posters "je" and she couldn't transfer it to post, so I am doing it for her. I encourage everyone to read it, because it shows what we are actually up against in the United States. For 5 years we have all seen things that we couldn't believe could or would happen in the United States of America but it's happening. We didn't believe people would tolerate any of what we've seen. We didn't believe people would support the Constitutional abandonment of how a President is elected, we didn't believe the public would stand for a white wash of 9/11, or the lies of the Iraqi war, or deliberately letting American citizens starve and die of thirst, but we have. I had a terrifying conversation with my fundamentalist Christian sister, who would rather see those people die in New Orleans than spend any federal monies to save them. She would rather see her tax dollars go toward Iraq, than to the United States. I met a young man today (about 30) didn't even know what had happened in New Orleans. What we believe can't happen is happening, I encourage you to read this article and start to acknowledge the desperate need for leaders. http://www.yuricareport.com/Dominionism/BageantTheCovertKingdom.html Posted by: Sally on September 4, 2005 06:26 PMFor what it is worth, the chart for land fall of hurricaine Katrina (placidus) has the ascendent conjunct the fixed star Regulus within one degree (the ascendent is at 0 Virgo), and Busch on the cusp of the 4th at 27 Scorpio opposing the fixed star Caput Algol at 28 Taurus conjunct the MC. The asteroid Chaos is in the 10th at 7 Gemini conjunct Juno (the whirl wind, among many definitions). The asteroid Hel is at 0 Capricorn, 10 degrees from transiting Pluto and 5 degrees from the chart's vertex at 5 Capricorn. Mercury, which rules the ascendent is in the 12th, awash in confusion opposing Neptune in the 6th. The Sun in the first house opposes Uranus in the 7th, squaring Chaos and Juno in the 10th. Capricorn, the sign on the fixed fifth house of gambling, creativity, speculation and children, finds it's ruler also in the 12th at 5 Leo, which puts a lid on further acts of gambling, both in the literal sense and in the realm of this administration's thinking (a hurricaine of this magnitude won't happen here; we will wager that it won't happen and send money to Iraq instead). Whatever creative, constuctive plans necessary to rebuild this city, this state and surrounding areas will be confused, slow and perhaps ridden by karmic influences. And a few secret deals are in the offing. Still, Chiron is in the 5th at 28 Capricorn, trining Caput Algol and the MC in Taurus. Perhaps the wounded healer, which so often wounds before it helps to heal will aid the reconstructive process. The hubris of the Venus/Jupiter in Libra conjunct the South Node in the 2nd house of finance and values remind me of the chart of the destruction of Pearl Harbor, wherein one saw the same type of signature. Today, the moon is at 6 Libra. A week ago it was at 8 Cancer. Posted by: Beasley on September 5, 2005 07:50 PMHello All, Someone asked about whether Vedic Astrology had a take on all this. Basically, whenever Jupiter is afflicted, natural and mass catastrophes are prevalent. This has been the case for about two years now. Also, Saturn aspects Ketu causing major constriction of resources. Many practitioners in the Vedic system follow Pluto too, but as Saturn and Ketu move closer, (They will conjoin in sidereal Leo in 2007) things will worsen. At least with Jupiter free of Saturn's influence, laws won't be corrupted quite as much. Bush leaves his Saturn major period on May 13, 2006. We can expect serious decline or even a departure from office shortly after this. I am thinking that election scandals will start to be uncovered.
