The Dark Ages Redux
US New Moon Transits So much happening everywhere from Gaia stirring, winds howling, the Sun frying, the waters rising, puts us in mind of the bards of our time Bob Dylan's "Times They Are A-Changin" and CCR's "Bad Moon Rising". The news just keeps getting worse, that constant drip, drip, drip of American blood, Iraqi blood, Afghani blood, Palestinian blood, Israeli blood, African blood, the blood of the People. To add more to the American image look what Rummy's up to ~ By Mike Whitney "The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) is calling on the United States to investigate 3 new cases of journalists killed in Iraq in the last week...This brings to 17 the number of journalists and media staff killed by US soldiers." Last week, Yasser Salihee, a reporter for Knight Ridder news agency, was assassinated in a perfectly executed gangland-style hit a few miles outside of Baghdad. He was struck by a single bullet to the head by an American sniper. Salihee's murder resulted from his extensive coverage of the torture and murder of "suspected insurgents" by US-backed death-squads. I've read that there are more Gitmo like pictures to be released including the sound effects of torture and rape accompanied by the voices of the victims, the screams of the children which were being held in the American prisons in downtown Baghdad and on the bases of their Liberators. I have read the pictures were taken to sate the appetites of the rich and sexually depraved. These are Christians ? This is what a Republican is all about ? We're these innocents used to make their parents talk?

Morgana Music!!! Alas!! Smooches, and hugs Morgana! Posted by: Pat C on July 6, 2005 03:14 AMIn our own backyards! thanks Morgana for the fabulous. Posted by: tseka on July 6, 2005 03:28 AMJoy to the world... Morgana music again! Thanks soooo much... now to re-read and digest. Some neat pics at GU of G8 protestors, most of whom are noted as "anti-capitalists" --- http://www.guardian.co.uk/gall/0,8542,1521778,00.html Posted by: Jo on July 6, 2005 03:41 AMChilling, Morgana...insightful and chilling. In Bush's Solar Return (I don't care in whatever country one casts the chart) has Mars on the eclipse point of April 8, 2005. And yes, this year, it opposes his Jupiter. (for once Wolfstar of StarIQ and I agree. A nasty year for Mr. Bush) Very little on the Rove affair in the NY Times today. Just a long oblique story about Washington insiders, the CIA, her friends' reactions, Wilson's role, his books, his "misstating some facts." Nothing about Rove, nothing about the source of the leak. A very strange meandering around the hem of a skirt. Mr. Bush is reported to be unwilling to give Tony Blair and the Europeans what they want about reducing African debt, and about global warming. Mr. Blair, rightly so, feels he is owed something. Wouldn't it be wonderful if Tony got so angry that he let further leaks get out about Mr. Bush's pre Iraq war conniving. Yes, it would damage Blair, but sometimes if you know you are going to go, you might as well bring down the whole house. Trash and burn. Just dreaming. Hmmmmm says I. Now they are splitting hairs. Aaron Brown quickly asked about perjury. That tripped the interviewee a bit. Posted by: Pat C on July 6, 2005 03:52 AMNEO, what do you mean? Is that why I felt she would be fine? Posted by: Pat C on July 6, 2005 03:53 AMMr. President: this is what Freedom and Liberty are all about Here are excerpts from the speech that Spanish Prime Minister Zapatero gave regarding his country’s historic vote to make marriage for all Spaniards: "We are not legislating, honorable members, for people far away and not known by us. We are enlarging the opportunity for happiness to our neighbors, our co-workers, our friends and, our families: at the same time we are making a more decent society, because a decent society is one that does not humiliate its members. "It is true that they are only a minority, but their triumph is everyone’s triumph. It is also the triumph of those who oppose this law, even though they do not know this yet: because it is the triumph of Liberty. Their victory makes all of us (even those who oppose the law) better people, it makes our society better. Honorable members, There is no damage to marriage or to the concept of family in allowing two people of the same sex to get married. To the contrary, what happens is this class of Spanish citizens get the potential to organize their lives with the rights and privileges of marriage and family. There is no danger to the institution of marriage, but precisely the opposite: this law enhances and respects marriage. More at link: Pat C, Maybe I'm being paranoid. But I have a very strong hunch just now that i've been had. Just the way the conversation went towards the end. Posted by: NEOBuckeye on July 6, 2005 04:00 AMNeoB., don't feel bad, you're not alone. Posted by: Jo on July 6, 2005 04:07 AMNeptune handed out a few big lessons in lies and deception to me in the past two years as well. Just thinking back over everything, and too many things seem too vague to me. The doctor called me two days ago to say that she was in surgery but that it had been successful and that she would be okay. The call ended before I could get too many specifics. Neither the doc nor Stephany could tell me later what exactly needed to be done. One of the DUers at my post over there was nice enough to e-mail me offering medical advice. She couldn't seem to figure out either why she would have required surgery other than for maybe an appendectomy... Her mother and her sister lived in South Africa. They apparently moved there after her father died in a car accident in Maryland about 1 year ago. "Stephany" later moved to Nigeria with a sales company that suddenly folded just after I began talking with her and left her stranded at a local hotel with her room totally unpaid for. Like a fool, I sent money for her bills and her flight so she could come to the US. And then, she gets sick with Typhoid... She was even friendly enough to talk with my sister online? How could I not have fallen for that?? *sigh* It all seemed real enough to me in the beginning. Maybe I was so desperate, I just wanted to believe. Now i'm in debt over my head, and totally heartbroken... Posted by: Beasley on July 6, 2005 05:30 AMFor the "They Never Quit" department and maybe a good laugh: http://www.nydailynews.com/front/story/325327p-277874c.html Paula's jonesing Paula Jones wants to go to a library - but she isn't looking for a book. The woman who claimed that former President Bill Clinton exposed himself to her thinks it's time she visited the $165 million study center dedicated to his administration. "My house is about 17 miles from it," says Jones, who lives just north of Little Rock, Ark. "I pass by [the Clinton Presidential Center] all the time. I kept saying, 'I ought to go in there.' My friends and I talked about putting on wigs - just in case they won't let me in - and making a day of it." Jones mentioned her plan to David Hans Schmidt, the Phoenix-based agent who brokered her nude spread in Penthouse, and he suggested they turn the outing into a media event and maybe make a few bucks in the process. "Paula will wear a T-shirt with the sponsor's name," says Schmidt. Jones says she can use the money because lawyers who brought her sexual harassment suit against Clinton took most of her $850,000 settlement. "I got $151,000," says Jones. "That's gone. I was going through a divorce. I had to get a home for my two boys. I never made bunches of money. Mary Kay LeTourneau can molest a child, then turn around and marry him, and make $1 million off their TV wedding!" Still, she insists, "It doesn't matter if I get any money. I was going to do it anyway." She already knows she's not mentioned anywhere in the exhibits. "How could they wipe away those years of his life?" she grumbles. Jones and Clinton agree on one thing: "A lot of people used me for their agendas. But I got the blame. They called me 'trailer trash.' I've never been in a trailer." Clinton spokesmen declined to comment on Jones' latest bid to embarrass the former President. Posted by: Pat C on July 6, 2005 05:34 AMMORGANA!!!!! Posted by: Sally on July 6, 2005 07:00 AMb FEMA & the Hidden Underground Govt If you still believe that the entire govt of the US is for the people, you may be surprised to know that the elite heads of our govt do not demonstrate those same views. The fed agency known as FEMA (Fed Emergency Mgmt Agency) is propagandized as being an emergency relief agency, whose primary responsibilities are to assist the citizens of America during times of crises, such as war or natural disasters (hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, droughts, etc) And, while this scenario is partially true, it is by no means the primary responsibility of this powerful arm of America's secret govt. While the adm hqt of FEMA is located in Atlanta GA with various branch offices across America, the tactical hqt are located in a gigantic underground facility near Bluemont VA. This site is called Mt Weather, & has also been referred to as the Western VA Office of Controlled Conflict Ops, a name that will appear more accurately descriptive as you read on. The fed govt took control of the land in 1903 & used it for various projects until 1936. This is when the US Bureau of Mines started a major digging & construction project that wound up being a literal underground city! It is complete with streets & sidewalks, private apts, cafeterias, hosps, supply stores & even it's own mass transit system! Furthermore, it has a water purification system, fed by lakes & underground springs & of course, it's own power plant & sewage disposal system. This is quite a contrast to the visible, above ground structures, which give the appearance of an innocent complex of a dozen or so well kept govt communication-type office bldgs with antennas & microwave relay systems. All this is located on a beautiful landscape & shows no resemblance of anything really strange. Beneath the unsuspecting ground-level complex is what is often called the "Doomsday Hideaway", this huge mystery mountain of secrecy has gone virtually unnoticed by the public, & even most members of congress are unaware or very unfamiliar with it. It is a self-contained, fully equipped & operational hqt for the "hidden parallel govt" of the US & more! Here is a list of some of the depts & agencies that are housed within the heavily protected mountain: the depts of Agriculture; Commerce; Health, Education & Welfare; Housing & Urban Dev; Interior; Labor; State; Transportation; & Treas. Some of the fed agencies located within are: the FCC, Selective Service, the Veterans Adm, the Fed Power Commission, the US Postal Service, & the Fed Reserve (which by the way, is not controlled by the fed govt). Another little know fact is that the hqt for the World Bank is located in this safe haven! FEMA, who also heads up the Multi-jurisdictional Task Force (a natl & internatl military/police force, which is a story within itself) is the commanding agency over the Mt Weather ops. In the event of a natl crises, which nowadays may be anything [rez] decides it to be, FEMA takes full control of the exec branch of govt & rules the nation with all the powers of martial law! Each of the fed & private agencies located within the Mt Weather complex is under the control of a single individual. The person in control of each agency or dept is not elected by the people, but are appointed by the prez. They have their own staff or cabinet members who are also appointed & answer directly to the powerful cabinet head. It is a duplicate of our fed govt, but w/o the consent or even knowledge of the taxpayers who fund it. The other fundamental difference is that cabinet members & cabinet heads of each duplicate govt dept are not trained to be a democratic govt in waiting. They are, however, a well trained dictatorship in waiting, not to serve the public, but rather to help administrate control over the public, while FEMA directs the execution of military/police ops against the citizens of America. FEMA has been in charge of a military police force for several yrs. This multi-jurisdictional task force (mentioned above) has been actively conducting training ops across America (mostly in larger cities) under the guise of an anti-terrorist training op. The real purpose of these illegally performed training ops known as MOUT (military ops in urban terrain) are actually for preparing these teams to take control of major population centers, disarming American citizens & crushing any rebellious or anti-govt grps who attempt to resist the military takeover. These so-called anti-terrorist training missions, MOUT, are scheduled to increase in 1999. These unsuspecting maneuvers (assaults) around the nation are illegal, because they are being conducted w/o the required permission from most state governors & city officials. ... http://www.theforbiddenknowledge.com/hardtruth/fema_underground.htm Glad to see site is back up and running... Posted by: tseka on July 6, 2005 05:44 PMFEMA and HUD are both gov't entities which are not overseen by Congress and have unfunded mandates (Catherine Austin Fitts of Solari has much information on this, although I am not certain it is on her website http://www.solari.com, but she told me that. And as such, they have 'black budgets' and they are used to launder narco dollars thru the people who are the insiders.....she herself was appointed to HUD in 1989 by Bush Sr......and later had a 10 year battle with them legally (she won finally in 2004). This crosses party lines, so don't think it is only one of them doing the dirty work.....it is so outrageous at HUD that the creator of the Sopranos wrote some of it into the Sopranos (Tony Soprano ran a scam with the HUD guy). It appears that when enormous money is available, corruption is inevitable. Like who is surprised by that? But it used to be just military contractors....Catherine says that in 1990, 3.2 TRILLION dollars disappeared from HUD....and Enron started up right after that (she made that allusion also). Texas is the clue....the suit she won was against the Texas firm with ties to the bushster family which was doing the sweet HUD deals until Fitts stepped all over the deal, not knowing the real story and beliving like the rest of us that the gov't was 'good'....I think most of this can be read at her site or at 'dialing for narco dollars'..... Posted by: judi gemini on July 6, 2005 06:08 PMMorgana, I keep tinking there is a link between the Italy undercover agents which were reported to be complicit with CIA, the killing of the people with the Italian woman reporter several months ago (she wasn't supposed to escape THAT) and what you wrote in the essay....not surprising that two fascist type gov'ts would be 'talking' to each other. You wrote: Last week, Yasser Salihee, a reporter for Knight Ridder news agency, was assassinated in a perfectly executed gangland-style hit a few miles outside of Baghdad. Assassination is against the law of the US....but used with impunity. NOW that is. War of the Worlds indeed.....nothing like a distraction to mask the real human aliens. ANd what pisses me off more is that Americans see white collar crime (stealing money from widows and orphans for instance) as no big deal.....but put those damn (racial expression) in jail for drugs! speaking of narco dollars! THE 'PATRIOT' ACT: INTRODUCTION Hi there, friends, these are urgent Times ! If you are anything like the 'typical' American, you haven't even read the text of HR 3162 or 'The Patriot Act'. But go now to this link and you will find that complete text: http://www.eff.org/Privacy/Surveillance/Terrorism_militias/20011025_hr3162_usa_patriot_bill.html Once you've read the text you will have a clearer understanding of what the astrological birth chart of this piece of legislation signifies, and that's what I'll be talking about in this astrological analysis. I found the chart itself on StarCats.com along with the comment provided by the hostess of this site that she literally 'saw' George W. Bush sign HR 3162 into law LIVE on MSNBC TV at precisely 10:56 AM on October 26, 2001 and that she (Claudia D. Dikinis) will be posting her comments about it ! * ( As of a few days ago Claudia has done it, posted her pithy, direct commentary-analysis right here:) http://starcats.com/newsmakers.html But before we begin that earnest work there are a few comments I'd like to make. I confess I am literally flabbergasted by the lack of interest astrologers have shown concerning HR 3162. Nowhere on the internet have I been able to find an analysis of this chart. While a few politicians such as Robert Byrd of West Virginia, Ron Paul of Texas, Barbara Lee of Oakland, Cynthia McKinney, and of course Paul Wellstone [who was subsequently and quite suspiciously killed in an airplane 'accident'] together with journalists such as Greg Palast, Gore Vidal, William Safire, Mike Ruppert, and Dave McGowan have raised their voices in protest against this legislation nevertheless, I can find no articles posted by astrologers giving any sort of in-depth look at the meaning and significance of the LAW by way of astrological analysis. http://www.starpathvisions.com/PrintablePatriot.html Posted by: Jo on July 6, 2005 06:41 PMJudi Gem, I also find Morgana's inclusion of journalists and Rummy in her article thought provoking: "...He was struck by a single bullet to the head by an American sniper. Salihee's murder resulted from his extensive coverage of the torture and murder of "suspected insurgents" by US-backed death-squads." I have seen it suggested elsewhere, perhaps another thread here also, that Gonzales' trip to Iraq was to convince military to tone down the torture... LOL... that's like sending the fox to the hen house to tell another fox (Negroponte) not to harm too many of the chickens... tseka, grappling with the dropping illusions is difficult to say the least... like you I try to break up my trips throughout cyberspace and its neverending revelations with a dose of "life" --- after swimming lessons today, the grands and I made a thorough mess of the kitchen making fried okra and fried green tomatoes... grease everywhere... but, oh my, our tummies are sated... no more fried food for another six months! Now I have to go watch the movie Fried Gr Tomatoes for the 49th time... and I'll cry again and again throughout... but momentarily I can keep the external world at bay... then I have to clean the mess in the kitchen! grrrrr Light to all... Posted by: Jo on July 6, 2005 07:03 PMhttp://www.tompaine.com/articles/20050706/anatomy_of_a_neocon_smear.php Anatomy Of A Neocon Smear William O. Beeman is professor of anthropology and director of Middle East Studies at Brown University. His forthcoming book is The "Great Satan" vs. the "Mad Mullahs": How the United States and Iran Demonize Each Other (Praeger). Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had not even been officially declared the winner of Iran's presidential contest before the attacks began. American neoconservatives were clearly not to be deprived of their cherished canard that the "mullahs were manipulating the election." Certain that Ahmadinejad's rival, former president Ayatollah Ali Akbar Hashemi-Rafsanjani, would win, they first denounced his comeback as "due not to popular demand, but to machinations of mullahs," as Danielle Pletka asserted in The New York Times on June 16, before the final voting. Once Ahmadinejad had been declared the surprise victor, the neoconservatives began to denounce him as the candidate of religious leader Ali Khamene'i, claiming that the election was fixed by the clerical establishment. Clearly, the election was to be demonized, whoever won. Neocon (and Karl Rove confidant) Michael Ledeen couldn't even wait to find out who won. In a statement in the National Review Online on June 24, he wrote, "Iran today reminds me very much of the death struggle between Hitler and the SA, the brown-shirted thugs who led the Nazi 'revolution'. At a certain point, Hitler knew they were a potential threat to his rule, and they were violently purged." It is unclear whether Ledeen's reference to the SA applies to Hashemi-Rafsanjani or to Ahmadinejad. Presumably, either would have served his rhetorical purpose. Then, on the day Ahmadinejad's victory was declared, the perpetual enemies of the Islamic Republic, the Mojaheddin-Khalq (MEK) released a photo purporting to show the newly elected president with a blindfolded American hostage during the hostage crisis of 1979 to 1981. The photo was immediately distributed around the world, and accusations that Ahmadinejad was a "hostage taker" flew fast and furious. Some of the former hostages, still bitter because they had been prevented from suing Iran for their long captivity, thought they remembered him from their experience 25 years ago. It was all a lie. Posted by: Pat C on July 7, 2005 01:17 AMStatement of Joseph Wilson on the sentencing of New York Times reporter Judith Miller The sentencing of Judith Miller to jail for refusing to disclose her sources is the direct result of the culture of unaccountability that infects the Bush White House from top to bottom. President Bush's refusal to enforce his own call for full cooperation with the Special Counsel has brought us to this point. Clearly, the conspiracy to cover up the web of lies that underpinned the invasion of Iraq is more important to the White House than coming clean on a serious breach of national security. Thus has Ms Miller joined my wife, Valerie, and her twenty years of service to this nation as collateral damage in the smear campaign launched when I had the temerity to challenge the President on his assertion that Iraq had attempted to purchase uranium yellowcake from Africa. The real victims of this cover-up, which may have turned criminal, are the Congress, the Constitution and, most tragically, the Americans and Iraqis who have paid the ultimate price for Bush's folly. http://www.legitgov.org/clg_interview_joseph_wilson_060705.html#wilson_statement ----------- New York Times Reporter Jailed for Keeping Source Secret [no mention of the MSNBC report that Karl Rove was that source!] Of course, imho, she and the NYTimes should be in prison for her being a conduit for Chalabi giving disinformation for an invasion of Iraq. Joe Wilson is WRONG in saying she joins his wife Valerie as collateral damage in the smear campaign. She, Miller, was actually a participant in that smear campaign... and her name should not even be spoken in the same paragraph or on the same page as Valerie Plame [imho]... Part II comes out tomorrow... ~snip~ "...The reality, not taught in American schools and textbooks, is that war – whether on a large or small scale – and domestic violence have been ever-present features of American life and culture from this country's earliest days almost 400 years ago. Violence, in varying forms, according to the leading historian of the subject, Richard Maxwell Brown, "has accompanied virtually every stage and aspect of our national experience," and is "part of our unacknowledged (underground) value structure." Indeed, "repeated episodes of violence going far back into our colonial past, have imprinted upon our citizens a propensity to violence." Thus, America demonstrated a national predilection for war and domestic violence long before the 9/11 attacks, but its leaders and intellectuals through most of the last century cultivated the national self-image, a myth, of America as a moral, "peace-loving" nation which the American population seems unquestioningly to have embraced." http://blackcommentator.org/144/144_think_violence_1.html Posted by: Jo on July 7, 2005 01:51 AMJo, thanks for posting on "Proactive, Preemptive Operations Group (P2OG)"--would actually carry out secret missions designed to provoke terrorist groups into committing violent acts. All this comes on the heels of events that transpired over the weekend, as two different individuals, journalist Michael Isikoff and political commentator Lawrence O'Donnell, both claimed that Karl Rove might have been responsible for leaking the identity of an undercover CIA officer's identity to Matt Cooper of Time magazine. Isikoff claims that Cooper talked to Rove during the period that Valerie Plame's identity was leaked, but there is still no proof that Rove was the culprit. As Isikoff of Newsweek wrote on July 3: “The e-mails surrendered by Time Inc., which are largely between Cooper and his editors, show that one of Cooper's sources was White House deputy chief of staff Karl Rove, according to two lawyers who asked not to be identified because they are representing witnesses sympathetic to the White House. Cooper and a Time spokeswoman declined to comment. But in an interview with Newsweek, Rove's lawyer, Robert Luskin, confirmed that Rove had been interviewed by Cooper for the article.” If it turns out that Rove did leak Plame’s identity to Cooper, it still does not necessarily mean that he was also Robert Novak's inside guy, although it surely raises suspicion. The indictment, as I am told, will most likely be of felony weight. In fact, Karl Rove may be accused of perjury, as Bush's top strategist told a grand jury that he was not responsible for leaking Plame's identity to Time. So the charge may not be for leaking top-secret information to the press, but for perjuring himself. Sources also all say that this indictment is likely to come down either late this week or early next week. Of course Rove's lawyer denies that his client ever “knowingly” handed over classified information to the media, or is the “target” of any investigation. Perhaps Rove “unknowingly” leaked the information, and he's the “subject” rather than a “target” of an investigation. Time will tell. Apparently, I'm not the only one who has been leaked this information either. Over at Redstate, a right-wing Internet blog, one member who calls himself “Ohsure”, also claims that “[four] Great sources confirmed” the matter, and later added: “I not only don't do this, I have never done this. But here it is; ‘Karl Rove will be indicted late this, or early next week.’ I'm trusting a source. So either I am made a [sic] into an overzealous horses a**, or..., I have good sources and may be more trusted to get these things right.” Ditto Rove's chart at http://starcats.com/newsmakers_junerove.html tMerc goes Rx on 23rd anybody got any comments on his chart and transits for coming week? No mention of 'life'... particularly devoid of the role of women. However, the series in Black Commentator is a scholarly study, analysis... a point of view of course. The second part can be found at link below. It has always struck me that the USA chart shows us to be an entity prone to violence... ------------------ "...Between August 2002 and October 2002 President Bush successfully drummed up a war fever in America designed to topple Iraqi Dictator Saddam Hussein, alleged to be the possessor of weapons of mass destruction that he planned to use on America. Bush did so without providing the evidence, the costs, the "why now" explanation, or long-term implications of such a war, yet still received the United States Congress' virtual declaration of war for a historically unprecedented pre-emptive strike. And even now, the Congress and just about all of the nation's media outlets have still refused to demand answers to the hard questions about what has been taking place in Iraq. Only a society accustomed to war – and predisposed to the use of war and violence – would accept war so quickly. When all of President Bush's explanations for the American invasion of Iraq crashed, he quickly shifted to the time-tested American "just-war" rationale for war – America had to liberate an oppressed people and help them create liberty and democracy. This has been an American claim – and cultural ideal – since the War of 1812." http://blackcommentator.org/145/145_think_violence_2.html Posted by: Jo on July 7, 2005 12:18 PMOk, everyone, please pardon me for being cynical, but does anyone else smell a rat in these London bombings? flame if you must, but it all just seems too coincidental to me... The angularity of these planets shows their importance in this location. The choice of London for the 2012 Olympics and the G8 meeting in Scotland had already put Great Britain in the headlines. The number 21 is represented by The World trump. Astrological attribution: Saturn Upright -- Attainment. The Madrid bombings killed 191 people and wounded more than 1,800. First the outgoing gov't accused Al-Qaida and then it surfaced that ETA was responsible, and finally --- gov't has never said anything further. Alert levels were raised across Europe, but as far as I can ascertain, not in the USA --- see However, alert level has been elevated today all across Europe, Canada and here in USA (at least in transportation grids) Several astrologers have spoken of a "shift in energy" with the two moons in Capricorn... one in particular here at this link: --- "... But with these two consecutive Full Moons in Capricorn (June 21, July 21 2005) we are witnessing a "shift of gears" in the Nation's laws and government via Saturn which, while in Cancer for the June 21 Full Moon, will shift into Leo for the July 21 Full Moon. G.W. Bush and his colleagues are about to become STERN DISCIPLINARIANS. The emphasis of Saturn will shift from Cancer Feeling into Leo Leadership; he and his administration are about to begin to play HARD BALL. I see stricter law enforcement on the immediate horizon, financial constraints, an Executive call sent out to the People to "tighten their belts" and get ready for "greater sacrifices". And this is the "Karmic" (payback) indicated by the USA Sun in Cancer being in Square aspect to the USA Saturn in Libra at the birth of America. The LAW is going to RULE. And the Cancer Person of the President is going to "BE" both that RULE and that LAW. The DICTATOR will probably try to assume his ROLE in September as transiting Saturn in Leo exactly conjuncts the Natal USA Lunar Node ( there will be 3 of these conjunctions: Sept. 16, 2005; Jan. 31, 2006 [Rx.]; June 6, 2006 ) and he will probably need some "new" NEW PEARL HARBOR event to make this possible. Consequently, I think we need to be fully alert right now as the Saturn "gear shift" from Cancer to Leo occurs between these two immediately consecutive Full Moons in Capricorn. Something is being planned right now, something -an EVENT- that will be designed to make us all crave greater Saturn Law & Order. http://www.starpathvisions.com/Whatmoontellsme.html

("Widespread looting, military occupation, artillery fire, vandalism, and other acts of violence are devastating Iraq, long considered the cradle of human civilization.") This is the first time that the Fund has ever put a whole nation on its list and so represents a singular accomplishment for the Bush administration, which knew not -- and cared less -- what it wrought. The destruction began as Baghdad fell. Words disappeared instantly. They simply blinked off the screen of Iraqi history, many of them forever. First, there was the looting of the National Museum. That took care of some of the earliest words on clay, including, possibly, cuneiform tablets with missing parts of the epic of Gilgamesh. Soon after, the great libraries and archives of the capital went up in flames and books, letters, government documents, ancient Korans, religious manuscripts, stretching back centuries -- all those things not pressed into clay, or etched on stone, or engraved on metal, just words on that most precious and perishable of all commonplaces, paper -- vanished forever. What we're talking about, of course, is the flesh of history. And it was no less a victim of the American invasion -- of the Bush administration's lack of attention to, its lack of any sense of the value of what Iraq held! (other than oil) -- than the Iraqi people. All of this has been, in that grim phrase created by the Pentagon, "collateral damage." Worse yet, the looting of antiquity, words and objects, not only never ended but seems to have accelerated. From well organized gangs of grave robbers to American engineers building bases to American soldiers taking souvenirs, the ancient inheritance not just of Iraqis but of all of us has simply headed south. According to Reuters, more than 1,000 Iraqi objects of antiquity have been confiscated at American airports; priceless cylinder seals are evidently selling on-line at eBay for a few hundred dollars apiece; and this represents just the tiniest fraction of what's gone. The process is not only unending, but in the chaos that is America's Iraq beyond counting or assessing accurately. My "guides" have been identifying Aug 5 as a big day and a turn of events for bushters. And I found an old post of mine at astrodata at the chart of Cheney in which I thought Aug 5 was going to be a deciding day in Cheney's chart....I had forgotten about that. So to have Aug 9 come up for others kind of cements some of the importance. I didn't know that in numerology (which I've studied) that 7 is an 'end of a cycle' number. I believe that 9 (the Hermit, searching the cave with his light for truth) holds that prize.... 7 is the Chariot...major effort, escape, rushing to decision, trouble, adversity, conflicting influence, turmoil and vengence. I can't find that post now, so I am just saying this from memory...but one can't help but notice the 7's. I hope I don't hurt feelings. I am angry and pissed. All I hear is that this isn't true Islam. But, it's not just Islam, IT"S ALL RELIGION!!!! Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Wicca...all of them!!! People are so shocked with religious violence, but how time and time again throughout history, this has been the outcome of religion!!! Even my great-grandmothers native American religion was used to oppress women. Yes, sorry to burst bubbles, but coming from a mixed family native americans beliefs are sexist and homophobic. This is why not one native tribe has legalized gay marriage in their tribes. Religion just creates the myth that we are seperate from each other. Every religious person I have met, not matter the belief feel that they are somehow better, more enlightned, more evolved then others! I have even been attacked my new agers who claimed me a "new soul" becuase if I was an "old soul" I would think just like them. How conventient! But, really, we are all made of the same carbon material that also created the gases that created the solar system. Seven died, police said. Moorgate is named for one of the gates in the city walls of London, of which few traces remain. Some people caught in the blast emerged from the Aldgate Station, near Jack the Ripper's old haunts in Whitechapel. — 8:56 a.m.: Blast catches a second train deep underground between the King's Cross and Russell Square stations. Posted by: Travieso on July 7, 2005 11:18 PMAs a Gemini, I am basically a dilettante :-) Basically in numerology when one is attempting to get a number for a date --- a birth or event etc. -- one adds the digits for a sum... (elementary my dear Watson, don't insult folks!) I was giving the number 7 for the digits - 7th month, 7th day, 2+5, a 7 for the year. So, I used the digit 7, not the trump, Chariot. I used the trump for the sum. In my Easy Tarot Guide by Marcia Masino, the 'sevens' are defined as "ending a cycle" and the unfolding of the soul. So you are correct Judi that 7 is a spiritual number. the nines also as you state indicate a cycle ending. Pat C's addition of the meaning for the Chariot adds much. But in this case, today's date and the event, I was just dabbling around trying to get a 'feel' for the numbers... from my own particular POV, I would use a trump for the total, as the three sevens have more depth to me than a single seven... the dabbling keeps me busy and the horror at bay... At any rate, the additional comments merely add more flavor, like more condiments to the soup... My heart goes out to the folks in London... the devastation, the carnage, the horror of it all... The 'whole' thing though has the feel for me of a play within a play... like the horror of today and 3/11 and 9/11... can be used to manipulate all of us into sanctioning the invasion of Iraq, the ongoing occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan and who knows whatever is next... I'm feeling like a pawn in a chess game... a fish in a net. http://www.americanprogressaction.org/site/pp.asp?c=klLWJcP7H&b=100480#3 PLAMEGATE We Do The Research So Reporters Don't Have To This is a good one. Plus one bomb that went off on a double-decker bus at Tavistock Square, near Russell Square. All three bombs on the Underground were reported twice - the blast was felt (naturally enough) in both directions. The bomb on the 30 bus was almost certainly a mistake, not meant to go off there. At least 38 people have definitely been killed. 45 people have very serious or critical injuries: 250 to 700 people have less serious injuries. Scotland Yard has set up a casualty bureau for people to call if they are worried that someone missing may be among the seriously injured or dead. The number is 0870 1566 344. Fitzgerald had been investigating three Islamic charities accused of supporting terrorism -- the Holy Land Foundation, the Global Relief Foundation, and the Benevolence International Foundation. But just before his investigators could swoop in with warrants, two of the charities in question got wind of what was coming and, apparently, were able to destroy a good deal of evidence. What tipped them off were calls from two reporters at the New York Times who'd been leaked information about the investigation by folks at the White House. One of those two reporters was Judy Miller. Jul 07, 2005 -- 01:14:08 AM EST My conversation partner told me he didn't have much doubt Fitzgerald would be aggressive. And he pointed to his knowledge of the earlier investigation. In his view (though I was never quite clear why), in the earlier case, the folks at the White House had actually had fairly clean hands. But Fitzgerald had gone after them in a big way. (See more details here.) Given that backstory, he didn't think Fitzgerald would go easy on the White House if there was a case to be made. And largely on that basis, I've always assumed Fitzgerald's inquiry would be the real thing. Now, what does it all mean? Hard to say. Certainly, one plausible way of reading the facts, though not the one I'm inclined toward, is that Fitzgerald's got it in for Miller. She blew an earlier case he was working on. And now he's going to stick it to her on this one. Or perhaps there's another explanation. Maybe there's something Fitzgerald knows about Miller's working relationships with particular figures at NSC or on the White House staff that made him fix on her, despite the fact that she never even wrote on the story. Of course, maybe it's just a weird coincidence, though it'd be quite a coincidence. Except during Football matches Jo. Then the Brits DO wave the union Jack. They let it all out at one time and get it over with. Then after the bombings, they go online and take credit for this dastardly deed, and misquote the Qu'ran.. and the Brits become so angry they change their mind... instead of withdrawing their troops, they send more... Optimism abounds. In June General Motors, by offering "employee discounts," managed to increase sales to the highest level in 19 years. A senior official of the Saudi Oil Company has been running around Washington with the message -- "All is well." Saudi Arabia will increase its production from the current 10 million barrels a day to 12 or 15 million or perhaps down the road, 25 million. Allegations that Saudi production is about to enter a steep decline are said to be simply not true. The U.S. economy is still doing well with only the first glimmer that much higher energy prices will soon devastate the bottom line of many corporations. Over the 4th of July weekend, Americans took to the highways in record numbers undeterred by $2.25 gasoline. Congress, feeling impelled to do something about rising gas prices, has passed a pair of dissimilar energy bills which, even though they will have little immediate impact, make it look as if our elected representatives are doing something. However, despite the apparent lack of concern, the evidence continues to accumulate that we are rapidly approaching a sizeable mismatch between available supply and demand. Last week, oil climbed to over $60 a barrel, settled back several dollars, and climbed again. These fluctuations are attributable to concerns about supplies and to producer secrecy that leaves oil traders with imperfect knowledge as to the true world oil situation. This in turn leads to price gyrations based on political developments having the potential of leading to restrictions on oil supplies. --snip-- Thus, as we move into the Summer of 2005, it would appear that the United States , the most oil dependent country on earth, is in near total denial about the twin specters of global warming and peak oil. http://www.fcnp.com/518/peakoil.htm Posted by: NEOBuckeye on July 8, 2005 06:43 AMHallooooo everybody! Can we be safe in a world full of danger? Do we have our shelter? Do we cherish it? Being a Cancer, my little shelter has enough food in it for at least three wars and maybe one nuclear bombing. What did the FBI know? Newsweek's Michael Isikoff has taken his share of abuse lately for Newsweek's not-true but-true reporting on the desecration of the Koran at Guantanamo Bay, so he ought to get some credit for this: Back in November, Isikoff and Mark Hosenball wrote a piece for Newsweek in which they said that U.S. law enforcement officials were extremely concerned about "evidence regarding possible active Al Qaeda plots to attack targets in Britain." How worried were law enforcement types? This worried: "According to a U.S. government official," Isikoff and Hosenball wrote, "fears of terror attacks have prompted FBI agents based in the U.S. Embassy in London to avoid traveling on London's popular underground railway (or tube) system, which is used daily by millions of commuters. While embassy-based officers of the U.S. Secret Service, Immigration and Customs bureaus and the CIA still are believed to use the underground to go about their business, FBI agents have been known to turn up late to cross-town meetings because they insist on using taxis in London's traffic-choked business center." The indications that plotters linked to a big election-season terror alert actually were actively planning to attack Britain rather than the United States is at least the second revelation which seems to partly undermine administration assertions that the U.S. homeland faced a heightened risk of attack during the presidential campaign. Shortly before the election, administration officials quietly acknowledged that at least one informant who last winter had provided lurid intelligence about a possible pre-election attack in the U.S. had apparently fabricated his allegations. Yet given the importance that waging the war on terror had assumed during the presidential campaign, administration officials apparently were reluctant to announce a lowering of the Orange-alert threat until after the election. "They would have been a laughing stock if they lowered it before the election," says Beers. Still, many U.S. officials think the threat of possible Al Qaeda attacks remains relatively high—at least until after George W. Bush's second Inauguration in January. Posted by: tseka on July 8, 2005 10:04 PMThis is an interesting discussion at DU regarding Judith Miller. Anyone ever heard of Operation Mockingbird before? Bhakti, I'm tying it all together. I've experienced Saturn as trials and concrete applicable lessons. He is a great teacher and guide, and of course, I trust him. When he leaves a sign it is a good time to reflect on that lesson learned. I just had one of those awe inspiring moments as an issue just got magically resolved concerning my home. Very big. I'm putting this together with Nancy's breakdown. The equinox chart had the Moon at 29 degrees Cancer and Mars at 29 Cap. The London attack had Saturn at 28, Moon at 24 Cancer. Also the two full Capricorn Moons and the recent new Moon in Cancer. Bhakti, I agree absolutely, totally with your defiance of victimization. We can't do anything about these outer events. People have always had to dodge the bombs falling in life. They will continue. Justice will come to these people but only after we've learned the lessons. If we believe that we deserve and will get protection as the dangers persist, them we will. When these masters of violence leave, more will come so it doesn't do any good to put too much excess effort into removing them. That will happen automatically. The corporations will also persist, but corruption will be rooted out when Pluto transits Capricorn. The best thing we can do is learn how to maneuver within it. Within the construct of this massive thing called life. And to try and pinpoint the real source of fear within each of us. We make ourselves sick watching Bush's every move, watching his poll numbers, and waiting for the next bomb to fall. Hinging our emotional state on what they are doing. If we sacrifice our health and joy, our kindness, our ability to love, our moments of happiness, our personal freedom, and our confidence in life, then they have really won. I think this is the greatest lesson. To know that we are the captains of our own ships and we can navigate them ourselves. So as Saturn leaves Cancer, I think we can rest assured that safety is real and it can be ours no matter what they all do. And by the way, I see the symbolism in Bush on his bike hitting a policeman. The figure of authority. And he was stopped. I think with Saturn where it is, there is a moment of reckoning occurring. Posted by: jm on July 9, 2005 12:25 AMHave any of you seen this? I hadn't. From an article by John Dean at Findlaw: Recently, the White House acknowledged that President Bush is talking with, and considering hiring, a non-government attorney, James E. Sharp. Sharp is being consulted, and may be retained, regarding the current grand jury investigation of the leak revealing the identity of Valerie Plame as a CIA covert operative.... Readers may wonder, why is Bush going to an outside counsel, when numerous government attorneys are available to him - for instance, in the White House Counsel's Office? The answer is that the President has likely been told it would be risky to talk to his White House lawyers, particularly if he knows more than he claims publicly. And from Raw Story: Sharp long has cloaked himself in secrecy, even taking the unusual move of paying to have his address and telephone number removed from the major Martindale legal directory. He was an assistant district attorney before he came to Washington and has a history of taking on cases with political implications. Sharp’s highest profile client was Maj. Gen. Richard V. Posted by: abilene on July 9, 2005 12:34 AMAs far as we are concerned in California, we don't I watched Bush and Blair yesterday on the tube. I couldnt keep watching. Ive become more and more sensitive to vibrations coming off people and the impression I got was of some kind of blocky fragmented energy on top of them like they were actually a jigsaw puzzle made of large fuzzy pieces moving around each other trying very hard to fit together but they cant. It was really strange. Then I had an impression of an old hippy guy with an American flag bandana on his head and there was an old black man with him too. They told me that the music would save the country partially again. That the tale would be told by the musicians. They said something more about the need to tell the truth. And that some would tell the truth of what was going on in time, that that the muscians and the truth tellers would work together and the system would eventually be brought down. They handed me a folded American flag and made me promise that I would honor it, and they said that it wasn't that I hated what the country had become, but that I loved the real America and that my only fear was the love and what it required. We fear what loves demands of us, we fear giving unconditional love to others and to All. Our only real fear is being who we really are, because being who we really would require us to look at our crap in the mirror. Bush is very afraid. I looked at Bush again in my mind's eye before I had this dream/vision. What I got off him horrified me. I got the impression of swasticas surrounding him, and an evil like Ive never felt before in my life. It was astounding. I felt like he is so evil, so utterly evil that I couldn't even comprehend it. It was evil that I couldn't deal with fully yet. Alot people think he is just stupid, but no hes evil, maybe as evil as Hitler. He doesnt want to face what love would demand of him. He would lose his power, and it would be over. He would have to resign and give himself over to the World Court to be tried as a war criminal along with his whole entourage. Unfortunetly, I doubt that would end the darkness of humanity, as it is in each of us to destroy our own personal darkness. That is probably the only thing that could save him now, if he did that. I wish it were possible for him to see it, but he didnt see when the war began, I doubt he will look now. Or maybe its my doubt that keeps him from seeing it, maybe its all our doubt. Do we doubt him or do we doubt our power to change the very nature of the matrix just by faith and hope, triumph and enthusiasm. I would ask it of others to see maybe hope and enthusiasm, so we can have faith and truimph. I want to destroy the big lie very much, the lie that we dont have the power to love ourselves enough to save this world. I dont believe that, I know that we can. I believe its only a matter of time before the lie breaks down. What is the big lie? That the problem lies outside of our hearts and souls. It is a spiritual problem decided upon by what we believe inside, it is to face the darkness of what has been created by our fear of giving unconditional love. The only way to love that darkness is to destroy it, within us, not without. No more war outside us, how much longer before we realize? I dont have that answer, all I can say is when we decide to own the war and realize it is an internal war against our fear, our fear of unconditional love and what it demands, then and only then will it begin. Thank you for letting me say my peace. I love you all, though I have never met you and hope that enthusiastic triumph comes and our nation and our world are free at last sooner rather than later. I know all is as it should be though, so in time, when it is time. I have faith that each will do his or her part when it is time. Good luck, and Goddess and God bless.

As Bob Woodward later revealed in the Washington Post, Miller planted Poindexter's propaganda in her own writings: claiming that el-Khadaffi was being betrayed from within his own country, that he had sunk into depression, and had turned to drugs. Miller went on to claim Khadaffi had tried to have sex with her, but lost interest when she claimed Jewish heritage. Khadaffi, you'll remember, was the 80's Saddam Hussein (back when Saddam Hussein was still cool). Muammar was Reagan's "Mad Dog of the Middle East," which is kinda weird when you consider that Libya is in North Africa. As you'll see at the bottom of this article, there was no event on earth that Republicans would not attach to his name for the sake of justifying what they wanted to do in the region anyway. And so now, with the First Amendment drama playing out, a quick review of the material that's been building up on this woman for the last two years on the blogsphere reveals a much longer but very consistent career. Judith Miller has been and probably still is an informal asset not of our government but of an American political faction. From North Africa to the Mesopotamian, she has provided copy to support imperial adventures. Perhaps she thinks her powerful patrons will protect her, perhaps she knows too much, or perhaps she's just too old to start over and simply needs to protect her accustomed sources. Her access to them is what's made an otherwise utterly undistinguished career. "...From the point of view of a serious counterinsurgency campaign against al-Qaida, Bush has made exactly the wrong decisions all along the line. He decided to "unleash" Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon rather than pressing for Israeli-Palestinian peace and an end to Israeli occupation of the territories it captured in 1967. Rather than extinguishing this most incendiary issue for Arabs and Muslims, he poured gasoline on it. His strategy in response to Sept. 11 was to fight the Afghanistan War on the cheap. By failing to commit American ground troops in Tora Bora, he allowed bin Laden and al-Zawahiri to escape. He reneged on promises to rebuild Afghanistan and prevent the reemergence of the Taliban and al-Qaida there, thus prolonging the U.S. and NATO military presence indefinitely. He then diverted most American military and reconstruction resources into an illegal war on Iraq. That war may have been doomed from the beginning, but Bush's refusal to line up international support, and his administration's criminal lack of planning for the postwar period, made failure inevitable." http://fairuse.1accesshost.com/news2/salon-cole-revenge.html Posted by: Jo on July 9, 2005 01:17 PMJuly 9, 2005 British Prime Minister Tony Blair and President George W. Bush went into their standard routine after the London bombings. This was an attack against civilization and all civilized nations, they said. That's bosh and hokum, and it does a disservice to the people. The first step always in solving any problem is to define the problem correctly. There are no terrorists anywhere in the world whose goal is the destruction of civilization, Western or otherwise. The terrorist attacks against the U.S., Great Britain and Spain are motivated exclusively by Western policies toward the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the presence of Western military forces in Islamic countries. Al-Qaeda, the ideological source of these attacks, has always been crystal-clear and specific about its reasons for declaring war against the United States. http://www.antiwar.com/reese/?articleid=6596 Posted by: Jo on July 9, 2005 01:42 PMSo --- which country is America's biggest supplier of oil? Now, suddenly, the park service is looking at the fact that these public park lands aren't 'paying for themselves' and they are going to pull all the permits in Sept for the businesses at the lakes and shut down the WHOLE thing....no more boating, skiing, etc. First they said the lake is polluted, and the resort had the water tested and it is fine. This is the same thing they are saying about Yosemite....well, when was it ever said that the park service had to be a money making proposition? I thought the parks were for the public, and that it was a way to preserve the land as it used to be....and what does this guy from Clear Channel have to do with this shut down....does he want this to be his own private playground thru somekind of gov't 'grandfathering'...? My son-in-law has been spending every summer there since he was 7....now suddenly, people can't use the public facilities? hmmmmmmm...how extensive is this? You guys got any ideas? ((((((((((((((JoannaO)))))))))))))))) 'Plain Dealer': We're Holding Big Stories Because of Fear of Jail Lawyers for the Newhouse Newspapers-owned PD have concluded that the newspaper would almost certainly be found culpable if the leaks were investigated by authorities. "They've said, this is a super, super high-risk endeavor, and you would, you know, you'd lose," Clifton said in an interview Friday afternoon. "The reporters say, 'Well, we're willing to go to jail, and I'm willing to go to jail if it gets laid on me,'" Clifton added, "but the newspaper isn't willing to go to jail. That's what the lawyers have told us. So this is a Time Inc. sort of situation." Both Miller and Time magazine reporter Matthew Cooper faced jail on contempt charges for refusing to identify confidential sources, but Time agreed to hand over Cooper's subpoenaed notes when the U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear the reporters' appeal. Cooper later agreed to testify to a grand jury, saying his source had given "express personal consent" to be identified. Clifton declined to characterize the two stories, saying only they were based on material that was illegally leaked. Clifton's revelation that the PD was holding two investigative projects was actually first published in a column he wrote June 30 about the Miller and Cooper case. While the column garnered positive reaction, he said, almost nobody picked up on the disclosure tucked into the end of the piece. "As I write this, two stories of profound importance languish in our hands," Clifton wrote. "The public would be well served to know them, but both are based on documents leaked to us by people who would face deep trouble for having leaked them. Publishing the stories would almost certainly lead to a leak investigation and the ultimate choice: talk or go to jail. Because talking isn't an option and jail is too high a price to pay, these two stories will go untold for now. How many more are out there?" Clifton said he wrote the column to show that "there are consequences" to the actions taken against Miller and Cooper by a federal judge and special prosecutor. "Some people might argue that you're being chicken-shit," Clifton said. "Well, I, I can respect that," he said, his voice trailing off. Clifton said the Miller-Cooper case has not presented any problem in its ongoing reporting of the biggest current scandal in Ohio, sometimes called "Coingate." "So much of that we are pursuing unambiguously with public records," he said. "We've had to rely very little on anonymous sources." The scandal, first reported by The Blade in Toledo, revolves around a rare-coin dealer who was given authority to invest $50 million in state money in rare coins and other collectibles. Gold coins valued at $300,000 that were part of that investment were lost in the mail, the Blade reported. It later came out that millions of dollars in the fund cannot be accounted for. On a BBC Radio 5 interview that aired on the evening of the 7th, the host interviewed Peter Power, Managing Director of Visor Consultants, which bills itself as a 'crisis management' advice company, better known to you and I as a PR firm. Peter Power was a former Scotland Yard official, working at one time with the Anti Terrorist Branch. Power told the host that at the exact same time that the London bombings were taking place, his company was running a 1,000 person strong exercise which drilled the London Underground being bombed at the exact same locations, at the exact same times, as happened in real life. The transcript is as follows. http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/july2005/090705bombingexercises.htm Posted by: Jo on July 9, 2005 11:02 PMPatC, The thing that strikes me about these journalist sources stories is that they are all being lumped in the same catagory - to print or not to print. Fear factor, we might go to jail. But nobody in the corportate media is discussing the importance of the REASON behind the story; i.e. who will it protect and who will it benefit. One the other hand, leaking the facts of a story that highlights an illegal activity, and is of huge public importance surely must be placed in a different catagory, illegal source or not. And what makes the source illegal? Someone signing a confidentiality agreement, or the outing of a foreign based illigence agent? Maybe some in the US can begin writing letters to editors pointing out this fundamental difference. Maybe it could start some more sheep thinking rather than just being fed more pablum. The result has been that the Canadian Lumber has become leaner, much more efficient, and is out performing the American Lumber barons. The Mad Cow is the same story. But war is, above all, a POLITICAL tool, and what counts in the end are the long-term results, not individual heroics. " In the treaty hammered out by Britain and the United States, the territories were returned to their original borders and the Americans were given a free rein in the West. And the beans he spilled strongly suggest that the effort to discredit Wilson via his wife was not the result of Wilson's disclosing his trip in a NY Times column, but was being done in 2002 in order to discredit his reporting, and "fix the facts and intelligence" around the policy. Jill, I think we continue to learn the same lessons over and over through history, and yes, history repeats itself. The article is about 50 pages long, so you have to either read it all or scroll through and speed read. I cut and pasted it, because it is so full of info... I have wondered since coming to this board how one might see the USA chart, if looking at an entity. I recognize that his is Mundane astrology we are doing, but seeing the collective as an entity has been a good tool for me the last couple of days in understanding why some folks have such cognitive dissonance. This article describes us as a collective... the findings are illuminating... here's the link again http://www.starpathvisions.com/PrintablePatriot.html
Jo, I sent that starpath article to my Mom who is 81 last year, I printed it out so the package was huge. She lives in Atlanta, and she said she read it and pitched it in the trash, concerned for her safety if anyone saw what she read. At the time, I told her that if she saw the need to trash it, maybe she should believe what she was reading. She said NO, she didn't believe a word, but she was worried someone would find out. So ironic. She told me at the time, never never send her anything like that. But recently she asked me what I might "know" and what's out there to read. Geeeez. The notes on alchemy were originally discovered after Newton's death in 1727 but were lost after they were sold at auction in July 1936 for Ł15. They were found while researchers were cataloguing manuscripts at the Royal Society, Britain's academy of leading scientists. "This is a hugely exciting find for Newton scholars and for historians of science in general," Dr John Young, of London's Imperial College Newton Project, said in a statement on Friday. Newton's celebrated work "Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica" (or Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy) is considered one of the most important works in the history of modern science. In it he formulates the three laws of motion and that of gravity. Some scientists in Newton's time believed alchemy held the secret of how to transform base metals into silver or gold. Newton's notes were written in English in his own handwriting. "It provides vital evidence about the alchemical authors Newton was reading, and the alchemical theories he was investigating in the last decades of the 17th century," Young added. The notes will be on display at the Royal Society's annual Summer Science Exhibition in London which begins on July 4. Americans... who cannot wrap their minds around the fact that their government can do wrong. They "feel" (Mercury in Cancer) about the government, they don't "think" about it. I can empathize, my natal Mercury (though not Rx) is in Cancer. But my nSun is in Gemini, which loves the word, has to read, write, all the time... without that Gemini Sun, I would probably be looking through veils too... my Dad just had dinner with us... and I literally had to chew my tongue to keep from saying something as I listened to him regurgitate Faux Noos... and the propaganda they have filled his head with... he left a few mins ago and I am still trying to calm myself... unbelievable, he's so intelligent... told me it was not true that Brits had decided to withdraw part of their troops... that the NYTimes lied to me! Faux Noos addressed that, said it is just not so. Told him I got info from Brit papers, ran off a copy of article from Telegraph, and he still would not accept it... (His nMercury is in Cancer and he has Cancer rising!) I let it go... Here's a snippet from Starpath: "... At the BIRTH of this NATION only two planets in the sky were RETROGRADE: MERCURY & PLUTO. Both these planets were energetically configured in stressful 180degree OPPOSITION to each other; Mercury Retrograde in the 25th degree of Cancer in America's 8th house of SECRETS and Corporate Business Money, together with Pluto Retrograde in the 28th degree of Capricorn in America's 2nd house of VALUES and the wealth and prosperity of the people. Now this is the mental acuity (Mercury) of the people in STRESSFUL OPPOSITION to the collective unconscious (Pluto) of the people. This configuration tells us that we Americans must strive to become intellectually conscious (Mercury) of something which prefers to remain unconscious, hidden, and unknown (Pluto). It tells us there is a SECRET (Mercury in 8th house) concerning our personal feelings (Mercury in Cancer) which it is TABOO (Pluto) for any of us to even discuss(Mercury). What could that SECRET be ? Well, it's focused in the only two areas (houses) of the horoscope which specifically deal with VALUES and MONEY. And it takes place in the complimentary opposite zodiacal signs which deal with... BUSINESS (Capricorn) and HOME (Cancer), LAW (Capricorn) and PERSONAL PRIVACY (Cancer), the OBJECTIVE (Capricorn) and the SUBJECTIVE (Cancer). Here's a 'hint' as to what this means: " The United States is the largest arms dealer in the world. Since 1992, the United States has exported more than $142 billion worth of weaponry to states around the world. Keep this in mind when you hear Washington politicians decry the proliferation of weapons such as air-to-ground missiles. We've exported more than two-and-a-half times as many weapons as the No. 2 and No. 3 states — the United Kingdom and Russia, respectively. In 2001, total world arms transfer agreements were worth nearly $26.4 billion, and the United States accounted for 45.8 percent of them. The U.S. arms industry, by the way, is the second-most-heavily subsidized industry after agriculture. In 1999, the United States supplied arms or military technology to 92 percent of all the conflicts around the globe. This military largesse often goes to non-democratic countries with abominable human-rights records." http://www.starpathvisions.com/PrintablePatriot.html Posted by: Jo on July 10, 2005 09:33 PMLaurie, I keep reminding myself that those who support the government are not the enemy... and that those who are the enemy would like us to spend our time trying to convince their supporters. The Trouble with Normal So DailyKos has conducted a "mass banning" of those who had been "perpetuating a series of bizarre, off-the-wall, unsupported and frankly embarassing conspiracy theories." I hope no one is terribly surprised by this development. From the darlings of alternative media, purges usually follow their contributors' binges of unproscribed spelunking into the deep politics of a mass event. If someone like Kos doesn't distance himself from inquiries that offend mainstream sensibilities he risks the loss of the honourary privileges extended to the pacified blogosphere, and where is he then? Just another former Republican who has a problem with women. And since inquiry isn't his strong suit - Kos regards the theft of the 2004 election as just another "conspiracy theory" and can write with a Bushian lack of irony that he has a "high tolerance level for material I deem appropriate" - making it a sacrificial offering to the incurious middle couldn't have been a tough call. More than truth, such people crave respectability, which they call "credibility" because it conforms to the conventional wisdom of those whose approval they seek. This becomes the capital they believe they trade for "influence," which is nothing more than their place in punditry's pecking order. http://rigorousintuition.blogspot.com/2005/07/trouble-with-normal.html Highly recommend link on Phlogs above Posted by: Jo on July 10, 2005 09:59 PMCan this be true? Courtjester and TPM: Fitzgerald and CIA believe that Plame is part of an ongoing series of leaks severely damaging national security. Lawrence O'Donnell: Judge Tatel's concurrence in Miller suggests that this is not about perjury... AND it is about a very serious crime. Mark A. Kleiman: Judge Hogan thinks that the information [Judy Miller] was given and her potential use of it was a crime. John Dean: Leaking classified information is a crime under the Espionage Act with no exceptions for good intentions. Dec. 2003, MSNBC documentary evidence: Cheney's office and Hannah specifically was "a principal point of contact" with Chalabi's INC to receive and disseminate intelligence. Feb. 2004, Richard Sale (UPI): FBI had "hard evidence" that Hannah and Libby were involved in the outing of Plame. June 2004, USA Today reported that the FBI had begun interviews to determine who might have told Chalabi that the CIA had cracked Iranian codes - info which Chalabi passed on to Iran. When you put all of this together, it sure feels like Espionage Act prosecutions are in the offing... The Valerie Plame case is actually the opposite but it covers up something else. CIA agents are supposed to be undercover so revealing them is exposing a secret that should be maintained. At the same time, it uncovers the whole secretive operation around the yellow cake, and probably even more. Once again, I'm optimistic, although there is a seriousness and sadness in the air. Between Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld and the rest of the Bush Family, there is so much corruption just waiting to be uncovered and brought to light. Look at what is going on in my state of Ohio with the Taft (Mis)Administration and the Ohio GOP. There are ties from the Noe Coin Trading scandal that run up to Taft, to Schwarzenegger in California, to Colorado and the Bush-Cheney 2004 campaign, possibly even back to 2000. How much has Cheney and his Halliburton profited from Iraq? What of Bush Sr. and Carlyle? Isn't it at least a bit unseemly of the current pResident's father to engage in profiteering as a direct result of a war that his son initiated? Doesn't seem very nice and honorable to me. Mebbe, though, just mebbe, this thing about KKKKarl possibly breaking some heavy-duty laws has them so occupied that August in Crawford won't be so grand this year. Mebbe this thing about KKKKarl has them so panicked that they really can't concentrate (it is hard work) on picking and choosing the most abhorrent candidates.
