There is a new article coming but this thread is getting pretty long so I thought you might want a fresh start.
Quite a pattern of storms, earthquakes, rolling waves that kill, icebergs ready to crash into each other as in the War of the Titans. Mother Nature raging and whipping and heaving her mighty power as we watch in horror. There has been some talk that mankind has been working at tickling the underbelly of the old crone just to see what would happen. The stupidity of such a project is awesome in it's implication.
We call her Mother Earth because she nurtures us and holds us and she has recently been rocking our world and we need to stand still until her rage as abated. She moved her axis 3 inches, that's pretty huge and we don't know what that will do in the long run. Some "christians" (the little c to stand for limited thinking) think it's because we've been evil. Indonesia they say is the center for sex trade (absolutely evil for the right wing) and the West Coast is certainly their idea of a hot bed of god knows what.
Pluto's continued march through Sagittarius seemingly won't let us forget that the rabid right continues to froth at the mouth. It's almost as if he has a need to say "do you see this" this is the shadow of yourselves you've been refusing to look at, so here it is people, all your self-righteous glory.
Pluto was certainly evident in the Tsunami as everything those people had was just swept away, gone, some their very lives. Same thing is happening in Iraq, people blown up, their homes and businesses gone, their lives blown to bits. No less tragic than the Tsunami.
Uranus in Pisces, a sudden unexpected amount of water rolling over us and Neptune in Aquarius reinforcing "too much water."
No matter what one thinks of God, or a Supreme Being, or nothing out there; these are good words to remember and I am happy that most of the world has remembered them and acted upon them.

I was thirsty and you gave me drink"
"When did we fed you, cloth you, give you drink?"
"When you do this for the least of my brothers you do this to me."
My hope is we will continue to look for and serve the least among us, throughout all the world. Mother Nature and this War is going to force us to do just that.

Sally, This makes a perfect segway into my rant!
It seems that ALL Repug corps now feel they have a mandate! Basic costs are all jumping
up by 50% -125%! When my car woudn't start yesterday, I discovered, my local tow service now charges $45. for a jump start, instead of $20.; that s125% higher. My AAA membership fee went to pay my son's storage locker this month, also creeping up by $6.00 per month. Since my Widow;s Pension was only raised by.2% this is not working!
After a friend came over with his jumper cables and started me, I went right to the "FAITH BASED" FOOD BANK! Not only were they UNGRACIOUS, because I had not called ahead, and it was almost the end of the one morning per week, to pick up food.
But the food offering included a ghastly hot pink & orange iced small cake, that had a sell by date of {" DEC. 8"}!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Bulkie rolls don't have a date but they don't look any too fresh! Then there were 4 cans of vegetables,
1 can of pears, 1 jar of peanut butter, 1 can tuna, 8 PINK natural casing hotdogs....Local delicacy;tasteless ....... tough to chew......... offensively hot pink............
My first visitor 13 1/2 years ago was a restauranteur friend, graduate of theCulinary Institue of America, & he tried all the local things.....salt cod in a wooden box, the pink hotdogs were unceramoniously heaved into the garbage!!!!!!!!!
There was at least a package of Hershey's Coco mix & a bag of dry milk.! But God Help the coffee drinker! ( there are tea bags!) Ziti, macaroni & cheese (1box) muffins, equal ( never use it :isn't that Rumsfeld's poisonous, formaldehyde sweetner he was responsible for when he was CEO for Searl back in the 80;s? 1 can of juice 2 little individual servings of juice, Little bags of potato chips..........and a box of Quaker instant oatmeal....box opened & taped shut with masking tape. This is a MONTH'S FOOD FOR A FAMILY OF TWO!!!!!!!!!!!! Most of it I wouldn't dream of buying at the market!!

So my first art project is the old dutch master painting of food, with dew drops & silver dishes. The title "Let them eat cake"!!!!!! To be photographed & made into cards, to be sent to each Senator & Representative!!!!!!! with a note!!!!!!
As soon as the insulation project is completedd...they are doing the ceiling in the studio this AM, no way to get in there & work!!!

On another topic... the head of the DNC...
My own personal stance is that if Howard Dean is not selected, the DNC will remain status quo... and that is unacceptable (to me). Therefore, I have resolved to withhold my desertion of the Demo Party until Dean is either selected or rejected. If the 'powers that be' move away from Dean, I will be one of those who follow Dean wherever his organization might lead. [I was not a Dean supporter last year... as I waited for the party to select its nominee and then fully supported that nominee.] Howard Dean's statement accompanies his announcement to run... it is well written and states clearly his objectives for the national and state parties... he calls for total reform, from the grassroots up. His statement can be seen at Kos' website.
As it now presents itself, the Demo Party is not a viable opposition party... in fact, imho, it is a passive, silent herd, whose 'elected' representatives, with the exception of a handful of mostly Black women, are without a spine. I am unable to give even lip service in the form of support to such a group.

WV...enjoyed all the articles you posted...especially the one on MSNBC about the demise of the AMMP. We see the pattern of how Bush prevailed...he SHUNNED everything and everyone he didn't want or like (alone with Rove, I mean...they did it). I have used shunning in one case and find it works for me. I think the web site about turning your back on Bush is doing the same concept. We should shun everything Bush.

I haven't posted in awhile but I've been reading weekly. As usual, all good stuff.
On a scientific note. Since the quake in Indonesia has moved the poles a few centimeters expect more quaking and volcanic activity. A few centimeters shift translates to a much larger misalignment of the continents to the planetary grid. The continential plates, in their effort to realign themselves with nodal points(energy centers), will continue to create more earth events as she seeks to restabilize. These nodal centers are the essential tools in continent building and stabilization. With the new wobble the quake created the continents are in a stressful relationship to these nodal power points. The plates have to move in order to relieve the stress. You do the math. This will also affect weather patterns and ocean currents. May we live in interesting times.

P.S. We have just experienced what is called the 100 year storm here. Flooding of our two major rivers, the Virgin and Santa Clara. Up to 14 homes have been claimed by their raging waters and the rivers have reclaimed a great deal of land.
