First Lady by Isabelle Ghaneh

It takes a strong man to be married to a strong woman and Teresa Heinz Kerry is just that, a very strong, indeed a very forthright woman. Just what we need in my opinion. After seeing her on TV I said to myself ‘she has to have an Aries ascendant*’ due to her reddish coloring, her straightforward, no nonsense approach to the truth (oh what a relief it is) and her mannerisms; all bespeak of an Aries rising woman.

Here is someone who doesn’t suffer fools gladly. I think its refreshing in the sense that she has such a strong sense of self that she can’t be intimidated by having her every word, gesture, line of thought and article of clothing scrutinized. It’s hard to be in the spotlight and you need to develop a very strong identity to withstand the pressure. This I believe Teresa Heinz Kerry has in abundance.

The first things I check out in a chart are of course the Sun, Moon and Rising Sign. Teresa’s Moon is (luckily for John Kerry) adjacent to the Moon in the U.S.A. chart, at 27 degrees of Aquarius. Having a Moon in that same spot or close to it is a very good thing for anyone who wants to connect with the American populace on a grand scale. It’s also good for someone running for office, which in a sense the partner of the candidate is doing. THK also has Jupiter at 22 Aquarius so it’s a good fit for both her and the country.

Saturn conjoining her Aries ascendant would show in her steadiness of purpose and her ability to think seriously about any issue that comes her way. The Sun conjunct the descendant, the 7th house, explains her need for powerful partners and her getting them by marriage or business. The 7th house ruler, Venus, is in Scorpio, and in the eight house, which further confirms that fact.

The vertex in the chart is at 23 degrees of Sagittarius. I don’t really use the vertex that much for specifics, but I like to look at it and see where it is placed; it can then tell me something I may not know. Reading a chart is like reading a map, you just have to know what the signs mean, it’s not really any different. With THK’s vertex so closely placed to John Kerry’s Sun in Sagittarius you can tell the connection between them is great. Also its in the 9th house, which is the house you look to to represent the second husband in a natal chart, according to Marion March and Joan McEvers, just to name two astrologers whose reference works I can quote. But it’s a universal astrological tenet.

THK’s Moon at 27 Aquarius is directly opposite John Kerry’s Jupiter at 27 Leo. Again a significant link to the communication between them. so much so that they can afford to let themselves go in public and not be their perfect selves every second of the day. I refer to the 60 Minutes interview with both John and Teresa Kerry, and the comments made by the interviewer about their appearance together along with Andy Rooney’s remarks, i.e., that Kerry’s wife made him nervous. Well, maybe she does, but she doesn’t make John Kerry nervous and since he’s married to her that’s all that counts.

I think these two people know each other, they like each other, they accept each other and they have a good instinctive realistic understanding of who the other person is and what they want out of life, which is so important in a relationship. Each person must be allowed their own individuality and allowed to speak and think for themselves, anything less and the relationship is just a sham one way or another.

John Kerry’s Moon at 17 Gemini furthers this notion by its sextile of THK’s ascendant at 18 Aries. John Kerry’s Mars at 10 Gemini trines THK’s Mercury at 10 Libra. This again is a good couple placement, the trine making it easy for them to agree to disagree.

On election day Teresa Heinz Kerry’s transiting planets show her Venus will be conjoined by transiting Mercury. Pluto is nestling up close to her Vesta in the 9th house, close to the ninth house cusp. Transiting Jupiter is fast approaching a connection with her Mercury and her Sun, both in the 6th house.

Its intriguing to me, looking at the transit chart for THC on that date of November 2, 2004, that at the top of the chart transiting Juno, the marriage asteroid, is conjunct both her 10th house midheaven and the asteroid Lilith. At the bottom of the chart, transiting asteroid Lilith is conjuncting THK’s Chiron.

Surely this is symbolic of the media focus that will fall on her and how the media and society at large will invest themselves emblematically into THK in the very likely event she becomes America’s First Lady. The Lilith Motif, the ambitious devouring she-devil, the ogress, is the fate that befalls many independent women. Lesser mortals or just plain stupid people tend to think of a strong fascinating intelligent woman with a vigorous sense of self with symbols from the bad old medieval days; with witchcrafty femme fatales leading men by the nose, bewitching them, etc. etc. etc. Sadly, our culture, in regards to the figurative treatment of women in the collective unconsciousness of our society, has not proceeded from the golden days of the witchcraft trials as much as we would like to think.

Let’s stay straight to the course and hope this doesn’t occur, no matter how outspoken she is. After all, if you ask me, Lilith got the better deal in the Bible, much more so than poor Eve.

*Birth info on THK obtained from the Starcats website as posted verbatim on it ”Thanks to Mary Louise Bateman: "Dear Claudia, According to Salon TT, this is Teresa's date/time of birth. Oct 5, 1938 - 6:18 PM - Mozambique. They got it from a friend of hers..." I later confirmed with Mary Louise that the city of birth is Mozambique's capital, Maputo. Teresa Kerry is a delightful person and this article helps elaborate that. i'm particularly fond of the connection between her moon and that of the us chart. be sure of one thing, the republicans will make every effort to smear teresa. i think that she can handle it and that such efforts will backfire. i'm also looking forward to an activation of the venus/scorpio/8th house power when the attack comes. she made a statement at the start of the campaign about the use of her considerable fortune. she said, if it gets personal, she'd open the checkbook and spank the republicans. this she can do, not by giving to the campaign, which has limitations; but by giving to the parallel groups on both sides who can receive unlimited funds. while i hope she doesn't suffer the stupidity of king george and his beasty boys, if she does, watch out!

While I have this information in an article (I wanted to let Isabelle get hers up) expect something in Iraq, Saudi, Egypt, the Sudan or Australia early this AM EST. Just prior to the opening of the Dem. Convention at 7:30 AM, the Moon will be squaring Mars (6:47am) and immediately go VOC by the Convention opening.T Mars is opposing the Venus of the Iraq war and T Moon is squaring. There is "evil afoot." Notice that the protesters DID NOT show up in the "protester pen" in Boston today.

Far worse than that.....we have lost 2 young people from good familys in the last 3 weeks!
One a former art student of mine, had a 1 month old baby, a 20 month old as well. She & her husband "partied" over 4th of July, their car rolled over ' going too fast on a curve" she was thrown out & died instantly. Her Mother is a real estate broker ( not a worm digger!) & Lindsey, who worked for her Mother had the
listing, for my friends house. ( They are trying to trade in their "bayview house" for an energy efficient house to be built up on the blueberry barrens, with lower taxes no view! for their retirement)
Then there is my next door neighbor's Grandaughter! She and her husband lived in a trailor next door to me for 2 years when their first baby was born. ( Her Father owns the land between me & his Mother, )
She was sentenced to 30 years in jail Sat., for embezzling 47,000. from the bank where she worked...........to supply her husband with drugs. Their son was born in May! The little girl will be 4 in Aug. and is very bright, and happy!
I have heard her giggling, when they came to Grandma's house for Sun dinner. This is a family with HONOR! I have lived here for 13 years. Her Father works for the local funeral dir. & has sat on the school board. Many summer people entrust their cottages to him!
There are 2 TWO doctors ( DO) who provide a methadone clone to addicted patients. In Bangor there is A facility for in or out patient treatment. All are full at the moment and are regulated by LAW.........to take no more than 30 patients! THAT;S THE LAW OF THE LAND! WE ALL LOVE TO LIVE BY!!!!!!!

How synchronistic for me that Lilith is coming up over and over this week. With my Black Moon Lil conjunct Venus-Pallas in the 8H in Scorpio and Aries rising I can relate to THK. As a petite, fit and much younger looking woman, I still get come-ons. When I speak to these bozos with wisdom and have this great career and I'm 50 , they all go running or try to make me feel less than. Lilith did get the better end of the deal with Adam to repeat Isabelle. Rather be a Lilith than a Stepford.

Anne, my above post noted the VOC Moon, however that Moon isn't as important as the one Kerry is under for his acceptance speech and that Moon will have moved into the "waxing" stage. A waxing Moon (full) is a very auspicious Moon in Hindu astrology and experience has born out that assessment of a Full Moon.

Fortunately (and perhaps intentionally? Nah), Teresa Kerry's salty remarks will distract, slightly, from the boos. Here's the back story on her latest display of colorful candor:

In a speech at the state House here, Kerry said, "We need to turn back some of the creeping un-Pennsylvanian and sometimes un-American traits that are creeping into some of our politics." That's where the trouble began.

Colin McNickle, editorial page editor of the conservative Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, asked her afterward what she meant by "un-American activities." Kerry then accused him of putting words in her mouth, correctly denying that she ever said "activities." But she also denied saying "un-American," though recordings of her speech show she did say that.

Heinz Kerry walked away from McNickle, but returned seconds later to ask whom he worked for. After she found out he worked for the paper with which she frequently clashes, she told him "shove it."

A spokeswoman later told CNN that Heinz Kerry's reaction stemmed from "sheer frustration, aimed at a right-wing rag, that has consistently and purposely misrepresented the facts in reporting on Mrs. Kerry and her family."

Bbuster, you took the words out of my mouth. Call me an atypical Southern male, but I would also put Kerry in the White House on the basis of Theresa alone. Give me a Lilith over a Stepford, please, there's at least a spark in her eyes which I don't see in Laura. One of the most offensive things about the *ush administration has been the shrinking violet persona of the First Lady. It makes me ill. Maybe Laura's been running the show all along, who knows, but the handlers grokked on a "be seen and not heard" role for the First Lady, the conservatives bought it, the media blessed it and the public accepted it. Getting back to reality, it's WRONG!!!

I wish I was in a position to give $100 to the Democrats every time Theresa thrilled me by calling a spade a spade. Hey Rove, looks like this woman isn't afraid of you, she's not going to play your game and she's got a big, biiiiiig pocketbook that she's willing to use to fight every smear you can come up with.

I haven't been able to vote on CNN for weeks now! Don't understand it. Kos has polls and my vote goes thru... but with CNN, I get an "about blank" website with a "can't display the page" message... maybe it has something to do with all my emails to CNN re their 'ridiculous' polls that don't quite state the question in a manner that will create credible results; their 'reporters' that are not 'reporters' or anchors but 'editors' and biased at that... yeh, I think they've blocked my computer... am I paranoid yet?

Yes, I think it will happen in the next 12 years.
It seems to be moving faster to the northwest
toward Russia. If you can find a copy of "These

you will find on pages 124/25 that the equator
has run N/S though the country several times.
Problem with the switching of magnetic poles, I
understand, is that nothing will work any more.

my spirit guide guido must have posessed me last night. the reporter who created this little tiff works for a paper owned by richard mellon-scaife. he's the fine fellow (inherited money from robber barons) who funded the clinton investigations, e.g., troopergate, etc. and has close ties to, you guessed it, Ken Starr. he started a paper in Pittsburg just to have an official mouthpiece for his paranoia. this paper has even less credibilitiy than the rev. moon owned washington times. but there you have it, they baited her and they'll do it again and again. hopefully, she'll learn the parry these thrusts...and open up the check book.

Hi, well there was a problem for me trying to vote....I tried to vote, but when I went to CNN it sent a "cookie" request and I refused the cookie, so I couldn't vote (I use Opera browser, not IE)...It also wouldn't let me view the results without oking the cookie. I was surprised, but decided against it....

I'm going to check this out with my daughter, who worked in the internet industry before 9/11, specifically with this technology.

Good on Teresa ...one thing Repugs have the market cornered on is hypocrisy....

Just saw Terry McAuliffe give a rousing speech...he has such a great, sexy mouth! (my son in law is a McAuliffe...they're probably cousins...there's only one area in Ireland they come from...)

mike, to answer your question, an aries rising or aries sun or aries moon is very hot tempered and it is very easy to provoke them particularly with calculated constant harrasment and badgering and hounding, i know, i have an aries mercury and venus! usually you get angry quickly and then blow it off, but you do get angry!

also THK has an aquarius moon, which would make her have a tendency to intellectualize her emotions, and a Libra sun will also do this, so with that combo she will be able to step back and think first. but that aries rising thats the rub, aries does react to insults its in the nature of the ram!and again venus in scorpio is very intense and passionate! so THK can fly off the handle if shes pushed too far, then rethink what to do and internalize her anger and stop before she goes to far.

Isabelle, I have an Aquarian moon, Venus in Scorpio and Aries rising! I totally relate to that 'shove it' comment. After a while acting 'good' does not resonate when I'm 'feeling' angry. Then a choice comes, what to do about the anger, how is it appropriate? 'Shove it' is acceptable and resonates appropriately to the situation in that moment. What about Cheney's comment in the Senate? I'd throw that right back to the Konservatives Kommpassionates who'd stoop so low to go after the candidate's wife. So afraid of her - tee hee- I'm loving this Lilith energy. If one does not stand up to bullies and cowards there is no hope. Kerry's reply was respectful of her mind and strength. I think the 'shove it' comment empowered alot of women today who'll start using it instead of eating the abuse and the 'less than' attitude that we still suffer from in this society. Prejudice is like a stealth bomber, hidden by radar. How refreshing to have an intelligent independant woman as a role model. I was musing this morning that all the librarians I know write a petition letter to NOT endorse the husband of fake librarian/teacher, Laura Bush.
Instead of Mother Goose Laura would probably teach Poppagander .

I'm not an astrologer, however, I have been following "void-of-course" moons for a number of years (putting it into my applointment book and watching what happens)--it certainly follows through that when you have an agenda/a particular focus--that intent does not go as planned.

My impression with the 'void-of-course' with the moon is: the energy that has been building up surrounding the "situation" is given the freedom to flow to create the outcome of all the energy involved.

An example is our recent Canadian elections. It was called on a void-of-course moon. I was horrified!!
It was called the third week of May and on June 28, (YES! THAT IS SIX WEEKS FROM START TO FINISH!!) we returned the incumbent party to power; however, it was a minority government. This party has been in power through a number of elections-and while having done a good job--they were caught up in a financial scandal that angered many-deservedly so.

I am in transit, enjoying beautiful Colorado and New Mexico. What great places. So different than S. FL and New Orleans, my most recent homes. And the cities I've been in are so progressive! Hope it spreads throughout both states. Also watching the 1st night of the BLUE Convention and was it ever wonderful! Each speaker outdid the other. Jimmy Carter, a true Nobel-prize holding man of peace really laced into Bush. There was a Reverand who served on the swift boats with Kerry and he had the room on fire. Al Gore was dignified, humorous and positive, Hilary was clear, strong and positive, and Bill just outdid himself. What a powerful speach! This is all very emotional and inspirational. We SHALL overcome and get the country back. BTW, Dean & Mosley-Braun speak tomorrow night. Gephardt & Kuccinich will speak in the next few nights. Go check it out. Can't wait until Thursday. Thanks, Morgana for putting the spotlight on THK, who will resonate greatly with an undivided U.S. Let the right wingers go where they belong - stage right & out of the picture where they belong.
But please work for the Kerry Edward campaign and/or register voters.

I am jumping up and down with glee in my studio, Al Franken is my hero . He is chewing out Sean In-sanity on Air America live at the convention. Sean is the master of the shell game that distracts the viewers of his shill.But it's getting old and stale and so transparent that it's gonna go when everyone awakens. Al's not getting the game , he gets distracted and off the issue where Sean wants you to go. I beamed Blue energy to Al and pictured Sean with a gag in his mouth. That guy never shuts up, an energy sucker.

Wow, what is this? Some kind of wishing well for liberals hoping Kerry is going to win? I highly doubt he is going to succeed. And what is this about Teresa being a strong, delightful person? She is more like a giant fake. She tells people what they want to hear, but then when the microphones are facing the other way, the true her exposes its ugly head for all the world to see. I'd far perfer Laura Bush over Teresa anyday as first lady of this great country.

Teresa Heinz Kerry would be the best woman for First Lady of the United States. She is a world class philanthropist, humanitarian, diplomat, environmentalist, and is not afraid to stand on her own two feet and 'tell it like it is.' It is so refreshing and so needed. After surviving 4 years with Laura Bush's 'be seen and not heard' persona, I feel that our country needs a stronger and more visible woman as First Lady. When I saw Teresa speak at the Democratic Convention, I was mesmerized by her thoughtful discourse, command of five languages, and her beautiful red suit - A true fiery Aries Rising at her best!

Her ultimate soul goal is to be in a position of battle which can not be practiced as First Lady.

Now if Kerry were to divorce and marry another... then you bet ya, favor from the land might be granted for him to be president.

Theresa and Kerry's myopic out-look is already outside the Land's blessing.

Us little ants that walk around pontificating how much power we have to make our own reality ARE DREAMING. The Theresa / Kerry Combo is a no go.

Kids for Kerry's spokeswoman said that Dick Cheney should take a 'time out' for a foul word that he used. Perhaps our monitor for this website should also issue a 'time out' for contributors such as yourself who used the 'b----' word to describe Teresa Kerry.
