I dated a Virgo once, he was the oddest and most eccentric man I ever met. He kept notes on everything. His obsession with detail nearly drove me nuts. He was a good attorney however and his clients loved him. His psychosis was being a compulsive workaholic. It didn’t work out between us, however his star has risen as an attorney.
That little story brings me to Henry Waxman, our very own Mr. Smith. He may not look like Jimmy Stewart, you don’t hear from him often, and he sometimes writes articles but not very much. He’s a little guy with a mustache and I don’t know how big his office is, but I know it’s filled with a ton of legal pads covered in notes. Representative Waxman from California has kept an accurate and tight record of every single thing this administration has done over the last three and a half years. He has kept a record of every misstep, kept them, developed a paper trail by writing memos and requesting documents he is entitled to under the Constitution. Of course, this administration never answers and they don’t send the documents but Henry writes that down too and files it away. He keeps in his files every deed, every word, every misdeed and he dots all the I’s.
Representative Henry Waxman from California is a, (can you guess) Virgo, born September 12, 1939 in Los Angeles, California. He isn’t just any Virgo; he has 5 planets in Virgo including the Sun and Moon, making him a double Virgo. His Moon conjuncts Mercury exactly, the ancients said this aspect was a sign of genius. His Venus conjuncts Neptune and is part of a grand earth trine with Mars in Capricorn (conjunct the US Pluto) and Uranus in Taurus.
Mr. Waxman actually has a very simple and pointed chart, Saturn conjunct the South Node, he came here to make leaders everywhere responsible, Saturn also squares Pluto making him a bit defensive about his work underscoring his need for exactness. His Chiron sextiles his Sun giving his work a unique healing quality and Jupiter in Aries gives him a fire in his belly for the work. He takes “serving the people” seriously and literally.
You may not know it but Mr. Waxman is our champion, he is the hero of this present day drama playing out in America. He is keeping watch over the Constitution, the Federal Reserve, the taxes, and most importantly this administration. Mr. Waxman is the pebble in their shoe that will ultimately cripple this administration. It’s an absolute certainty that if there is ever an impeachment or trial for the ‘cabal’ it will be Henry Waxman’s files that will be used.
We don’t spend anytime at all on the good guys in government, they aren’t interesting, the ones who truly have our best interest at heart, in fact we don’t spend much time at all on any of the positives going on, unless those positives happen to make life miserable for the present day despotic government. This article about our very own “Mr. Smith” may be dull but I can assure you Henry Waxman’s work is not boring or dull and I would very much like to honor him.
CONGRESS
The body of Congress, who have long ago abdicated their responsibility to the people in favor of big business and because we abdicated our responsibility in holding their feet to the fire and making them accountability, find themselves in a rather embarrassing and difficult position.
There are a couple of dates for Congress, and while I look at the dates of the first sitting by the House of Representatives and the Senate in April 1 and 6 respectively, 1789 in New York, the one to follow is the first joint session of Congress in Washington, DC on Nov. 17, 1800 at 9:00am. Venus is in the 1st house on the Ascendant at 21 Sagittarius. This is a “promise more than can be delivered” aspect. Wow, does that ring any bells for your representative?
The Universe is trying to give us a fix on this energy with the natal Venus cozying up to the fixed star Rasalhague, the head of the Serpent Charmer. If that isn’t a message of caution, I don’t know what is. Ptolemy felt it had a touch of perverted tastes and mental depravity. I wouldn’t want to comment on that assessment, not in public.
The 1800 chart in Washington favors the Republican Party and they consider the House of Representatives and the Senate to be rightfully theirs with the Democrats as unwelcomed houseguests that occasionally outnumber them. The Democrats, whenever they are the majority party, kind of act like they are visitors and fear being referred to as ‘partisans.’ The Dems always act as if they are waiting to be thrown out.
As a side note to the Democrats, the Nodes of their party conjunct the USA nodes. At the same time TNeptune was going over the USA South Node with Solar Arc Mars conjunct and those aspects have been sucking the life out of America, and sucking the life out of the Democrats. Fortunately both those planets have finally moved away from the South Node.
There has been an enormous focus on “The Greatest Generation” who saw their country shift and nearly crumble with WWI, the Depression and WWII. We have all heard how this generation rebuilt America; this was the generation that experienced Pluto in Cancer and the conjunction to the US Venus, Jupiter, Sun, Mercury, opposing Pluto. The plumber of the Zodiac, Pluto, exposed the weaknesses of America forcing the people to redo, rebuild, reinvent and ultimately we came to a better place.
Did anyone know or remember that the police and Army beat and killed activitists in this country, on the streets of Chicago and New York in the late 20’s and early 30’s while Pluto was in Cancer? There was a massacre in Chicago of men, women, and children in Chicago, not by Al Capone and the mob but the police, directed by the President of the United States. Most of us are the children and grandchildren of the “greatest generation” and we are being asked to hold the line and not let go of what they built in this country. We now have a group of petty tyrants trying to revive the elitist attitudes that fell on hard times in the 30’s.
While Pluto has opened the door to the sewage hidden over the last 90 or so years, Saturn is moving along and spotlighting where we clean up. The roots of fascism go back to WWI and gathered steam until WWII and were then forced underground. The great Socialists Movement with Karl Marx as its father was in fact a blueprint on how to fight fascism and Western Governments fought it tooth and nail, lashing out blindly at the Unions and Feminism (which was considered socialists in the early 20th Century,) jailing, beating and killing all who would stand against the status quo.
Because of the egomaniacal and dictator personality of Joseph Stalin it was fairly easy to turn the socialist base into the enemy after WWII and socialism never really has been able to make strong inroads into politics since then although there is a Socialist Party in every Western country. In this country the Joseph McCarthy Hearings were able to stamp
Socialism as the evil enemy for several generations of Americans.
It doesn’t matter what religion, political movement, government, we are all controlled by fear. In the US our prisons are heaped up and overflowing, more than any other country and our fear in the US is at an all time high, socialism has been effectively pushed out of mainstream while fascism rose. Now Pluto is on the other side of the Universe trying to balance out the seesaw of political movements. Socialism was violently crushed, it has yet to be determined if fascism will be violently crushed, hope not.
It’s important to note that most political movements are seemingly loaded with dictators, tyrants, despots, autocrats, and enforcers of their agendas. The group we have now is just the 21st Century version and we don’t like it.
Saturn has passed over the US Sun and just passed over GWB’s Sun and on his way to Bush Chiron/Moon and a square to US Saturn. Saturn has a delayed effect and the next four weeks are absolutely crucial. Reagan’s death and long, long funeral shifted the energy away from Bush and effectively gave him a by, but only for the time being, his next wave of serious bad news is on the way, as evidenced by the Reagan family set against Bush on stem-cell research and they wasted no time in going public.

The Summer Solstice makes her appearance on June 20, 2004 at 8:45pm, Washington, DC. The Sun and Mercury conj. in Cancer in the 6th house, with Venus make her lazy way back to 9 degrees Gemini (On US Uranus) Venus is taking her own sweet time and in Gemini she is picking up little tidbits of information which she will drop like pigeon droppings on the heads of state when she turns to cover her shadow and that process will be finished the first of Aug. Look for big pigeon droppings on GWB’s head the week of July 22 when she squares Jupiter, opposes Pluto and conjuncts George’s Uranus/NN, squares the Inaugural Venus, conjuncts that Moon and sextiles Mercury. Venus will happily unload the information she picked up as she back peddled in the sign of informative delicacies. Venus is a gossip as is Mercury, while Venus gathers in Gemini, Mercury in Cancer will ‘inform’ the American people.
Throughout the summer you will find George Bush and the Republicans promising anything. Jobs will rise; Iraq will miraculously become better in August. By October we could have Osama or significant inroads to Bush’s definition of “terrorists.” The Economy will continue to improve; health care and environmental concerns will be back on the table with perhaps some concrete improvements in those areas. Bush will suddenly be the man for the people, leading the party for the people. Will America fall for it? Yes they will unless some very astute journalists are able to come up with the truth by August/September (that’s still the timing for events to conspire against America and Bush. If there isn’t anything to stop this train before October 10 count on another 4 more years.
The good news is I believe there will be something to jar their vision by October 10th.

Point. I cannot find primary source for Putin's comments, from Interfax, which is a news source for Europe and Asia. In other words, Putin is purported to have made these comments while on a visit to Kazakhstan. Where is that text? What exactly did HE say. We have the report above of comments from an unidentified intelligence source (? who was that?)... and we have the following comment in the report:

A TWO-STORY SABATOGE JOB DIRECTED AT KERRY AND EDWARDS.
On June 11, Ron Fouriner, an AP writer known for his not-so-subtle sniping at Democrats, did a completely unsubstantiated story (McCain has denied the story, in fact) about how Kerry had offered McCain the VP slot and McCain had rejected him. AP plastered this story EVERYWHERE. Then , on June 12, Fournier does a second story suggesting Edwards is favored in polls as Kerry's VP.

So why the back to back stories, with the first one all but fudged? Easy! To make Kerry look weakened - rightwing talk shows are already calling him "reject" and to undercut John Edwards by making it look as if he were a second choice. I am physically sick at the news of Paul Johnson. I felt equally sick last night when I saw a report of an Afghani boy who had been beaten to death by an american contractor. (Now being tried for assault, not murder, because the body was buried in an area now unsafe to go into). And George Bush has returned to his infantile rants about hunting down the evildoers. I am so in agreement with the Reese article Sally kindly passed on, (but which has now disappeared into the infinite vastness of cyberspace, alas). Bush is going to get us all killed.........which may be better than living as pariahs of the world, bankrupt and without oil.............. But I exaggerate.

Corleonis: I was indeed. Thank you for the Conan Doyle quote. It is less widely known that he was a great early supporter of mediumship (as well of course as being the creator of Sherlock Holmes). At the moment I am afraid I am not aware of any public pronouncement on the shape of future events by UK-based sensitives/mediums. But I do try and stay tuned in to this sort of stuff. I will bear Astroworld and you in particular in mind should anything of this kind come my way and forward it on.
On days with news like today I feel it is really important to hang on to hope and positivity as much as is possible. In my previous post I was saying that I was actually in western USA on vacation during the last election in Nov 2000 - not planned specially, just happened that way. We visited the Grand Canyon, Bryce and Zion National Parks - a long held dream of mine to see it all. The overwhelming majesty and sacredness of the landscape made a strange contrast to the wall to wall TV news election coverage - particularly at the time of the coup de grace in Florida which was so distressing ....
As an "outsider" I have great trust and belief in the principles of the US
Constitution. I believe that - once current lessons are being learned (via Pluto in Sagittarius) there has to be a spiritual rebirth in mankind as a whole. But if there was ever a time to keep the faith it is now. It does seem very dark - but Pluto is the Lord of Darkness and the Underworld .... and ruler of Scorpio which is linked with the Phoenix rising from the ashes.
I don't comment much on this site because I do not have the indepth knowledge of US politics/astrology that would qualify me to do so. But I find the various articles and comments interesting and educative. Russian 'warning' on Saddam puzzles US
The US State Department expressed bafflement after Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday that his country had warned the United States after the September 11, 2001 attacks that Iraq's Saddam Hussein planned to hit targets on US soil.
The State Department said say they knew of no such information from Russia.
Mr Putin said Russian intelligence had been told on several occasions that Saddam's special forces were preparing to attack US targets inside and outside the United States.
"After the events of September 11, 2001, and before the start of the military operation in Iraq, Russian special services several times received information that the official services of the Saddam regime were preparing 'terrorist acts' on the United States and beyond its borders," he told reporters.
"This information was passed on to our American colleagues."
He added, however, that Russian intelligence had no proof that Saddam's agents had been involved in any particular attack.
State Department spokesman Adam Ereli told reporters he did not know anything about the information that Mr Putin said Russia passed on, saying no such information was communicated from Russia through the State Department.
"Everybody's scratching their heads," one State Department official said, who asked not to be named.
The Kremlin leader's comments seemed certain to bolster Mr Bush, whose campaign for re-election in November is under pressure from the Iraq crisis. ...

i think saturn return for bushboy is working just the way it's supposed to work. i just saw him talking about the murdered american. he referred to him as 'paul' as though he knew him and then dragged out the 'evil doer' line. how pathetic. this man died because he came into contact with a bunch of murdering thugs (how suprising to find such folks in the 'magic' kingdom of saudi arabia). he died because we have the lousy bush economy and people have to go over 'there' just to get a pay check. he died because bush has us hated everywhere. AND he died because saudi arabia supports its religious fanatics (as a payoff to stay in power) and they won't do a thing about it. note the 911 commission found that most of the 911 money and al queda money comes from rich saudi 'princes' donating to their favorite cause.
saudia arabia is a total mess. someone should do a chart on this place. if it goes, we will all be car-pooling for some years to come.

Pat C, I was wondering about the timing of all this when the story first broke this am. And again, why do we hear of it now as opposed to when it was happening? Or when Bush needed support for his WMD threat to the world theory? Also, the CNN interpretation left out the AP bit about the russian intelligence not changing Putin's mind about being against the US invasion of Iraq.
You have to check everything these days and cross reference it all just to get a hint of the truth. As Sally wrote, "Venus is a gossip as is Mercury, while Venus gathers in Gemini, Mercury in Cancer will ‘inform’ the American people." I can only hope that when trans Saturn makes it's way to the USA mercury, that it makes journalism more 'responsible' as opposed to any limits placed on journalism/communications et al.

Somethin' weird happened here about three hours ago. I work in cubicleworld in Northern Washington. At one point the building had blue skies, rain, hail and sunshine on all four corners.

(Bloomberg) -- China plans to reject continued immunity of U.S. citizens from prosecution by the International Criminal Court, because of the abuse of Iraqi prisoners, according to the country's United Nations envoy. The stance may align a majority of the Security Council against the protection.
Chinese Ambassador Wang Guangya, 54, said in an interview today his government would abstain from any vote on the measure, joining Benin, Brazil, Chile, France, Germany and Spain, and leaving the U.S. short of the nine votes needed for approval in the 15-member, decision-making body.
"The atmosphere this year is not good because of this scandal over prison abuse," Wang said, referring to instances of mistreatment by U.S. soldiers in Iraq. "This will send a message that this behavior is not acceptable. My guess is that the council is split half and half, so they don't have enough votes to support this."
The Security Council voted in 2002 to protect U.S. soldiers and personnel from other nations that haven't ratified the creation of the court through a treaty, and last June renewed the immunity for a year. The U.S. is concerned the treaty doesn't include safeguards against politically motivated war crimes prosecutions, including possible action against U.S. troops in Iraq.
Council members who oppose a U.S. draft resolution extending the immunity for another year have been waiting for China, which has twice voted for the protection, to signal its intention. Defeat of the U.S. resolution might imperil future votes on UN peacekeeping missions, such as the proposed deployment of troops to Sudan.

Two years ago, the U.S. vetoed a Security Council resolution to continue the UN mission to Bosnia-Herzegovina on concern that American personnel could be vulnerable to prosecution by the court. Immunity was granted the next month and the mission was renewed.
Stuart Holliday, a diplomat with the U.S. mission at the UN, said the U.S. was consulting Security Council members and would announce a decision Tuesday on whether the resolution would be put to a vote. More than 40 nations have requested a Security Council meeting on the issue open to all 191 UN members, and that session is tentatively set for Thursday.
Envoys from council members Algeria and Romania said they also might abstain from the resolution. U.K. Ambassador Emyr Jones Parry, who supports the measure, described the situation as "total confusion."
China's declaration follows a statement yesterday against the U.S. position by UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, who has said in the past he believes the treaty that created the International Criminal Court has sufficient safeguards against political prosecutions.
'Unwise'
"It would be unfortunate for one to press for such an exemption, given the prisoner abuse in Iraq," Annan told reporters yesterday. "It would be even more unwise on the part of the Security Council to grant it. It would discredit the Council and the United Nations that stands for rule of law and the primacy of rule of law."
The treaty creating the court was adopted at an international conference in Rome on July 17, 1998. The U.S., Iraq, China and Israel were among the seven nations that voted against the treaty, which was supported by 120 countries and has since been ratified by 90. China hasn't ratified it.
Crimes against humanity in Yugoslavia, Rwanda and Cambodia gave impetus to creation of the Hague court, whose jurisdiction took effect on July 1, 2002. It consists of 18 judges elected for nine-year terms and chief prosecutor Luis Moreno Ocampo.
U.S. soldiers stand accused of abusing prisoners in Iraq and Afghanistan, incidents that have swung votes against the Security Council resolution, diplomats said.
Officials of human rights groups such as Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch pressed council members not to vote for the U.S. resolution, saying it violates international law by amending the treaty.

I wrote to all the Security Council members at the email addresses someone was kind enough to post asking them to let the U.S.'s immunity to prosecution for war crimes expire so that our leaders would be held accountable. I actually felt funny doing so as I know many countries would like to see the U.S. fail, but it felt like the right thing to do.

Since my last question vaporized, I'd like to try again: what are the psychics saying? Can it be so bad that they're shutting up like clams? Mary Rose mentioned Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. He was actually a fascinating person who delved in spiritualism, seances and mediumship for many years.
There was an article about him in my newspaper (The Oregonian) where he predicted certain things for Portland (my city). This was about 20 years ago, and I've been trying to locate the article ever since. Conan Doyle visited Portland many years ago, and mentioned that it would 'see great material prosperity and the city would spread far out, but it would subsequently be destroyed'.
Here's another quote which I located on Morgana's Observatory (our Morgana?):

cliss, i went to an "end of the world party" on mt. tamilpias near oakland, ca some decades ago. the music was great, the stars were, well stars, and we stayed up all night partying. the world did not end. therefore the solution to the looming apocalypse is relentless partying rather than a change in spiritual values. we will have a clearer perspective on the values once the flashbacks stop.

i saw michael moore interviewed tonight by mini matt lauer (what a dweeb!). he was playing tough reporter and moore stopped him cold by saying (approximately), 'if you and rest of the press had questioned the president as tough as you're questioning me, there wouldn't have been a war in irqa.' matt had no response. another rehab candidate!

Mike you are right on. At my age I have been to many 'end of the world' parties so to speak. The fear and belief in the end of the world is a testamony to the human race's need for drama. Preachers, psychics, astrologers make a ton of money predicting the end. However, we are not going to be that lucky and no one is going to air lift us out of here, we are going to have to do the work and go through it until the end of the tunnel. Every generation has their tunnel and tunnel master, this is just the latest version.

Maybe it's because it's been raining here for several days or maybe it's because my right-wing sister has also been here for several days, but my imagination is working overtime. Does anyone but me find it strange that after the torture story broke there have been two beheadings of American civilians. In both cases we were warned via TV they were going to be killed and in spite of what we were told were day and night searches for the Perpetrators they were unable to be captured before the murders. And yet less than 6 hours after the murders supposedly took place., in both Iraq and Saudi Arabia the perpetrators were found and were killed (before a trial)Certainly the killings drive home to the average American justification for torture because the spin goes that we are dealing with savages.
Am I the only one who is questioning this?
sally, i do find it very strange that they catch these guys so quickly...until i realize it's in shady arabia. the name 'saudi' arabia signifies the name of the royal family. it's like having america called 'rockefeller' america. these people are savages and they run the place. a few years back, several hundred saudi security forces had 19 terrorists surrounded in a house (these were the people who blew up a us compound). amazing as it might seem, the terrorists got away even though their car stalled and they had to jump start it. there will more an more of this.
i think most people (remember, i'm the guy with his sun conjunct the us sun - we're in trouble) feel sick to their stomachs and associate that with bush. they know why mr. johnson was in saudi arabia and that it all bush's fault. the sadistic 20% will justify torture by this. most folks are just getting fed up. after a week holiday (it's really bad when a funeral is a bad news holiday), we're back to the sickening drumbeat of one foolish fiasco after another.

Good morning from Europe. What draws me to astrology is that it marries the spiritual/poetical with the practical so beautifully. I have had great benefit from psychic readings and messages from mediums over the years but they do not let me off the hook in dealing with the world that we live in. Astrology straddles the divide and allows me to use the present as skillfuly as possible, working with the universal energies for my own and others benefit.
What 9/11 triggered was a huge tsunami of fear and anger in the West. Up till now we have collectively gone under, viz Bush/Blair/Iraq etc etc. My feeling is that the next few years are absolutely critical for the survival of the planet and oil (and the lack of it) is of course key.
But we are the ones who have created an oil-based lifestyle ... I think it is this area that change must come but what I can't see at the moment is HOW. Sally wrote a powerful piece a few months ago on just this "addiction to oil" topic. And just HOW exactly do we collectively become less fearful, insecure, deluded and addicted to our current oil-based lifestyles and so elect leaders worthy of their role?
I don't know ..... maybe Pluto in Capricorn will provide the energies of practical transformation to ground these necessary changes. Hope so. Otherwise we will reap the whirlwind.
Must get on with my day now. Hopefully there will be a bit of partying in it as well (cf Mike's post).

June has always been my favorite month — now moreso, with news of Morgana’s healing. Blessed be, Morgana. Think everyone, what manifested for her... a real, physical problem that some said required surgery... and months of pain — and blessings, and Light and prayers ---- and now, no surgery is required and there is resolution to the problem. A mini lesson for the external world? These times we all are moving through are difficult, and going to become more difficult — but we will prevail — because light always triumphs over darkness... there is no option for failure. Constant flux, change.
The seasons bring their reminders. June in Carolina is truly beautiful — before the heat of July and August. The grandchildren are here for the summer... we go to the farmers market for the veggies we don’t grow... it’s small, but ample. My youngest grand fell in love with a watermelon — ‘it’s sooo beautiful grandma, can’t we have it?' The middle child loves tomatoes almost as much as I do, and eggplant, of all things [one of the lovely women told us how she prepares it for her grands, mixes with ground beef, onion, cheese and bakes... like fried okra, they inhale it!] Driving in the car, the youngest watches the clouds, sights a dragon, and a whale with a dog mouth, then ‘look, grandma - the doorway to heaven! We can go straight through.’ That just about says it all... So, away with the psych ops those guys are playing with our minds. Watch the clouds, go buy veggies... the dog days of August will bring plenty of heat, especially for the White House gang. Meanwhile, the gardenias are still blooming, along with the magnolias — and the doorway to heaven is wide open. Blessed be.

The significance of the agreements on energy cooperation achieved during Russian President Vladimir Putin's recently completed visit to Kazakhstan is only an indicator of the consolidation of deeper tectonic shifts in Eurasian security and economic affairs. A new triangle is emerging in East Central Eurasian geo-economics among Russia, Kazakhstan and China. (It is being complemented by the emergence of another such triangle in West Central Eurasia among Russia, Turkmenistan and Ukraine.) Energy cooperation is a linchpin of each of the the emerging triangular ententes, but the ententes themselves go far beyond energy.

Hello, Thanks for article on Waxman. I had read about him writing all those letters to the government many times but had no idea what he was like personally.
I have been thinking. McCain did not run the stories about the Vice President and Kerry did not run them and McCain has said he would never be Bush's VP.
But if Bush is in trouble or impeached, Cheney, the most unpopular man in DC, who has health problems and would definetly be co-impeached with Bush, is a problem.
So some one is floating a McCain for VP to see how it plays. The party is not Democratic but Republican. McCain for VP is a backup plan in case they have to dump Cheney or in case it looks like impeachment for Bush and Cheney.
McCain is still playing the field because he wants the big prize, but he could jump on the Republican ticket and drag a few independents along. He might take the VP slot to help Bush to the impeachment. As a Bush VP, he would take over if Bush went down. But Cheney would go down with Bush.
I think a closer look at McCain for the next year is a good idea.

Jo and All, I have been traveling to teach thousands of elementary school Indigos in the inner city this semester. I am amazed at their poise and insights. Their hearts are wide open. (His actions are so scary—thank goodness we never elected him in the first place!)"

Indigos: highly intelligent, highly sensitive and aware. I think I was born ahead of my time, being almost 50 ($49.99) I was highly attuned as a child and it was shut down for a while when in school. Meditation has helped to reopen as well as reading Tarot. I lived in a fantasy world to block out the chaos around me (cross-talking, yelling, etc) but I did not go the Ronnie Ray-gun way but channeled it into over 1500 archived illustrations. Well, what I see here is a report from Interfax that clearly claimed

and this report has been picked up by others with modification that Putin made these comments while on a visit... AGAIN, until I see the primary source that reports Putin making these comments, I will suspend belief that he did.
From my POV, this is Rove machine tactics... to rescue Dubya's poll ratings, smear the 911 Commission report and play head games with the public.

Now, I have my objections about her reference to the US here. I believe that smaller groups of people around the world are moving towards a new age of harmony.
J. Donald Walters referred to the world as moving toward its 'stellar twin'. There is, apparently, a planet or star in the Milky Way Galaxy which is emitting powerful benefic vibrations which we are moving toward.
He also said that mankind as a whole would become more enlightened. The vibrations have already penetrated our atmosphere, and people will become more interested in spiritual matters. Religion as a whole will fall by the wayside, because as it is today, it's unable to quench a growing need for spiritual answers.

Psychic Movie: THEY LIVE (Dir. John Carpenter, 1988).
Two marginally employed construction workers in LA happen upon a box of sun glasses. They put a pair on and notice that our political and financial elite are actually lizard people from outer space and that behind our popular media are subliminal images (everywhere) that say: obey, consume, respect authority, etc. The two construction guys (Rowdie Roddie Piper is one of them) disrupt the massive satellite generator that props up the illusion of normalcy, the lizards are seen for what they are, the earthlings awake, and the world is saved.
I strongly recommend this movie. It's pretty sleazy but it anticipates our current state. Far fetched as it is, it is a perfect absurdist description of despotic leaders controlling a passive population.
There is a 'psychic' out there named Ekkes or something like that who actually propogates this movie fantasy as fact (he even says Bush and, of course, the British royal family are lizard people!). I'm sure he saw this movie in his sleep since it preceeded his theory.
Art can actually anticipate events (look at German cinema before Hitler, e.g., Nosferatu, The Sonambulist). Who knows, maybe Bush is a lizard person.

One US Soldier Killed, 3 Injured along with Contractor
AP reports that guerrillas set off a roadide bomb in the Kamalaya district of Baghdad, after which snipers on rooftops fired at US troops, wounding three. The latter returned fire, inflicting some casualties on the guerrillas.
Later in the day, guerrillas fired six mortar shells into a 1st Cavalry Division camp in southern Baghdad. They killed one American soldier and injured a civilian contractor.
In Samarra', guerrillas attacked US troops with rpg's and rifles. Two of the attackers were wounded by return fire.
Clashes in Buhriz near Baqubah northeast of Baghdad between Iraqis and US soldiers have killed 13 Iraqis.
In Amara, British troops traded small arms fire with assailants from the Mahdi Army of Muqtada al-Sadr. The British killed two guerrillas, but took no casualties. It may well be that the violence was provoked by the attempt to arrest Abdul Karim al-Muhammadawi, who had been mayor of Amarah for the past year.

I think we know who is primitive here. In fact, 'primitive' people did not do what O'Reilly is suggesting. He is not primitive, he is sick. And the tragedy is, he has influence... A sick mind in a position to influence.
In March 2003 I called it genocide... racism... that's exactly what it is, and why there was so much support for the invasion.
You could take those words in Pat C.'s post and apply them to the mouth of any bigot in this country and you would not miss a beat.
