RIDERS OF THE STORM IV
“When one tugs at a single thing in nature, he finds it attached to the rest of the world.” John Muir “The fundamental delusion of humanity is to suppose that I am here and your are out there.” Yasutani Roshi Neptune: Veils, fog, enslaving us, if he can, to addictions and delusions. Neptune is always in the middle of any mass hysteria and nefarious schemes. Loves perpetrating big and little frauds, thereby deceiving everyone including himself. On the higher end, he can create magnificently, placing beauty in the eyes of the beholder. Pluto: The underworld, the ruler of the subconscious mind, the darkest recesses of our primitive instincts. If we refuse to recognize our shadow side Pluto will give rise to events beyond our control which threaten our very survival. Uranus! Neptune! Pluto! Each in their own way creates havoc in the lives of people, cities, states, countries and governments. To those who don’t know or understand the energies of Astrology and the depth these planets plunge, the havoc created can seem cruel and unfair, sudden and unexpected. No matter how small or large they eat away at all us in little and big ways. Consider the experiences in your own life where you were shocked or denied a situation, or seemed to be a victim of circumstances. Consider the places in your own life where you refuse to take responsibility for something that happened to you. Look at the places where what seemed to be terrible actually turned out to be for the good, but you were focused on the terrible. The times that inside you wanted something awful to happen to someone who seemed to have hurt you or someone you loved. I certainly can name some fairly dramatic examples in my own life where I have succumbed to the workings of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, including denying my own shadow. One of humanities favorite justifications is “I may be bad, but I am not as bad as the next person.” I mention the individual because we are part of the collective of the world and right now the United States is standing on a precipice, and the world is standing there with us. There is no doubt that Pluto can create the biggest experience of planetary events with the longest clean up. Find an astrology book and read what Sagittarius rules because with Pluto there we will find all we have been unwilling to face as a nation and be called upon to transform. On 9/11 Pluto not only went over the Ascendant of the US Chart, ripping our illusion of safety and even decency away from us, it also was inconjunct the US Sun. We haven’t exactly known who, what or why since then, but we do have a front row seat as we watch our country’s underbelly exposed. The corruption, secret subversive groups, taboos, decay, decadence, uncontrolled power, nuclear energy, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, everything that has heretofore been denied and hidden from view. 9/11 not only has Pluto inconjunct the US Sun, but Mercury and the Ascendant of the WTC 9/11 chart is squaring the Sun and conjunct the US Saturn. We wonder why the people of the US are so slow in awakening? On September 11, 2001 the American people tied the soul of the collective to GWB’s Karma by attaching our need for safety or our fear of him. En masse we have given our control to GWB either willingly or perceiving him someone to fear. We saw him as one with us, except for the 11 or 12 percent of the people worldwide who lives beyond the collective present day boundaries. Pluto has a way of directing attention toward a dramatic event while the real work of transformation and change is happening. It is hard to take one’s eyes off the bouncing ball Pluto has unleashed in order to look at what is really happening and how to be a part of an effective agent for change. Pluto will also strip away everything not needed for self-actualization, whether one agrees or not. And with Pluto now at GWB’s South Node again, George had better find out for certain what God is really saying to him because if he, in ignorance, is not working for the greater good of all Pluto will cut him off at his knees, and it looks like that is what is happening. Mr. Bush just might want to go back down on his knees and ‘listen’ to ‘God’ instead of telling ‘God.’ While we were all watching for the sky to fall in the US on April 23 and 24, with Pluto opposing US Mars square Neptune, it instead fell in Iraq, exposing our hypocrisy in taking the ‘moral high ground.’ Remember, “We are liberating the Iraqi people from Saddam’s cruelty and torture.” Wow, that should be something Bush and Blair might wish they had never said. Looks like our troops are not morally above torturing others and enjoying it. The people of Iraq say there have been thousands of Iraqi’s tortured and they were not terrorists. http://www.guardian.co.uk/Iraq/Story/0,2763,1208408,00.html What type of culture is there in the military that makes it ok for our soldiers to throw away their moral compass? US Sun square Saturn from the 8th to the 10th. We publicly turn cold toward others and justify it all. Saturn rules the 6th house in the US chart, and in mundane astrology that rules the military. Mr. Bush said, “This is not the way of the American people.” Oh no, what about the KKK, the treatment of Native American Indians, Blacks, gays, rapes of women at Colorado Springs Air Force Academy, sexual torture of children at the hands of American Priests and covering it all over with the collar, corporate fraud, treatment of our own American prisoners, and the list goes on. We are looking at the underbelly of America. PLUTO OPPOSES US MARS SQUARE NEPTUNE. MARS CO-RULING THE 12TH HOUSE OF THE US CHART (OUR DIRTY LITTLE SECRETS SPILLING OUT ALL OVER IRAQ) Our Number ONE fear in this country with that Mars/Neptune set up, is that everything we have will be taken away from us. Unless we get a grip on that fear and work to overcome it before Pluto swings back over that point, that’s exactly what will happen. With Pluto opposing Mars and squaring Neptune, can we, as a people extricate ourselves from our symbiotic relationship with this President and the Republicans, or will there be another event in the US that will tie us even closer. In the 9/11 chart, the NN is at 3 degrees Cancer conjunct the US Venus, Mars was at 1 degree Capricorn and has now progressed within less than a degree of the 9/11 South Node, last year the Solar Arc Mars had progressed to that degree when the war with Iraq started, now it’s the secondary progression. I read this energy a few possible ways. Number one) (and one I don’t like) the Arabs will start coming for us with a vengeance very soon, thanks to this administrations willingness to allow torture that would make Saddam proud and having the misfortune of it leaking out. (reports are already telling us that there is more to come. I’ve seen some of the pictures, which involved women, and there seems to be some sickening sexual abuse of children) Two) we will find out how many people and who knew and allowed 9/11 caused by another misfortunate leak. (a real possibility) But there are people who do know the true story of 9/11. Three) Blair will be given no choice but to pull the UK out of Iraq leaving us alone as the big world losers. And four) there will be a huge scandal coming out of Iraq and the part Bush/Cheney friends have played in stealing from the US People. That 3-degree Cancer/Capricorn is absolutely a set up for when Pluto hits 3 degrees Capricorn in five years, and corporate America starts into a free fall. The WTC was a message from the Gods to those whom would play fast and loose with people’s lives resulting in a tear down of the US economy. We are not going back to what was, we are going forward, like it or not and we will have to find a new and better way. Right now I am not sure John Kerry is it. He is either more physically ill than we know, a Skull and Bones Clone of GWB, or he is shockingly more inarticulate that George Bush. I feel a bit suspicious of a Democratic candidate, sounding more like Bush than Bush, but he is for sure walking on eggs trying to appease someone and it isn’t his base of voters. If Howard Dean started up an independent run for the White House, I think he would win. If Kerry continues at this pace he will not replace George Bush and maybe that was the plan all along when the media started pushing Kerry ahead of Dean back in January. Frankly there is little in Kerry’s chart that indicates a strong win. He has just a few aspects in his progressed chart, and like all liberal astrologers, I am pinning my hopes on those few aspects. The aspects that look good for John on election day (if someone can light a fire under him.) is his North Node and the progressions and Solar Arc to that. His NN is at 7 degrees Leo, his progressed Pluto is retrograding back to that degree and his Solar Arc Uranus is coming up on that degree, but we need something to set that off. And here comes Venus on Election Day in Libra at 6 degrees in an applying sextile to the NN, that alone wouldn’t give it to him except Libra rules his MC, and transiting Uranus will be in a trine to his natal Venus, ruler of his MC. So we continue to hope but except for his Saturn return and the inconjunct of Neptune to his Sun Bush’s chart looks pretty good on Election Day, even with the ruler of his MC in Libra at the bottom of his natal chart. However, I still say that John Kerry and George Bush have to get from May 2004 to November 2004 and it will be October before we know for sure. I will continue to write about these three outer planets as issues arise but there are a couple of other astrological features, happening right now that I would like to address. Mars is coming to a square of the 29 degree Pisces Sun on the day the war started and Mars is Out of Bounds. Any out-of-bounds planet wrecks havoc in the lives of countries, weather, wars, people. Briefly, an out-of-bound planet is a deviation from the celestial body’s normal energy. The state of OOB is manifested (for good or otherwise) as uncontrolled or beyond normal conditions or expectations. An out-of-bounds planet can only occur beyond the prevailing declination point of approximately 23 degrees and 26 to 28 minutes, either North or South. Any planet beyond that is out-of-bounds. It has to do with the Solstice Points of 0 Aries/Libra where a concentration of energy exists for any planet close to those points. Out-of-bounds can be genius or wild, crazed, brutal, greedy, whiny, depends on the planet. Transiting Mars is out-of-bounds right now; normally I don’t look to closely to OOB unless there are other aspects to reinforce the ‘wild’ card potential of Mars. One of those reinforcing aspects is Venus is also out-of-bounds and in a square to the Iraq War Saturn, and OOB Ceres just passed a square to the Iraq War Moon. Look for violence, rhetoric, greed, hubris, anger (have I missed anything) The US Venus at 3 degrees Cancer is very close to that energy point, we are going to be hearing quite a lot about the companies that are dividing up Iraq and it isn’t going to be good. Mars was OOB on 9/11, Venus was OOB on Election 2000, and the Moon will be OOB at Election 2004. Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are all global planets, concerned with all of humanity and they infuse the world with the energy for events to happen, what humanity does or how we respond to those events is up to us. We are being moved toward globalization and that cannot nor will be stopped. What that means for each country and each individual remains to be seen, every country is now vying for a seat at the table. What type of people do we want to represent the US interests remains to be seen. Right now there are big bucks and names on the table that want that role. The Bush family is one, the Heinz/Kerry family is another, as is George Soros, Clinton, Blair, the neo-cons as a group, the Royal Family of Saudi Arabia including the bin Laden family, these are a few. There has always been a split in the powers that be on how to handle the people, because they know that the people outnumber them. Some believe that the best way to control the masses is through fear and intimidation others believe that if the masses have a small share in the pie they will be mollified, causing no problems. We, the people, must get beyond our box, out of our fear, stay conscious and aware because we do have power and there is a huge fight going on right now as to which global side prevails. Take everything said and done with a grain of salt, they have us out here focusing on the minutia (the Pluto bouncing ball) while they are dividing up the world. Interesting that I just received an article today regarding the biblical history of Iraq, and it’s thought Noah built his arc in Iraq, beginning something new for the world. And there could be another new beginning in Iraq, but not the one the neo-cons envision, as evidenced by the recent shocking revelations. I do have one last heads up, for all you Sun sign Gemini’s out there, Pallas Athena just entered your sign. You can manifest (positive or negative) what you want with ease, Pallas will bring it to you, so keep your thoughts calm and positive.

Sadly Morgana will not be posting her Full Moon article this month, she has quite a lot on her plate. She is having surgery this month and could use lots of positive energy going her way. Hopefully she will be on line (when possible) to give us her insights. Posted by: Sally on May 5, 2004 06:39 PMWow, that's quite an indictment of John Kerry. Would you care to explain more fully? Bravo! again and again. Much to digest from these articles and much to learn. Thank you ever so much, Sally.
http://portland.indymedia.org/en/2004/05/287424.shtml Posted by: wv on May 5, 2004 07:03 PMHis Solar Arc Venus (ruler of his 6th house of job and health) conj. natal Mercury (the natural ruler of the 6th house of job and health) they are just one degree off of squaring his natal Neptune. That could be illness and he did have prostrate cancer surgery last year. Don't know if he has recovered. Plus, there have been a ton of things just in the last two months where he could have nailed the neo-cons and Bush. The war, Fallujah, the Army's torture chambers and he has done nothing but try and defend his 30 year ago service and how Bush got him on the defensive on that one is a real mystery. He has publicaly said he agrees with Bush on the war, agrees on Fallujah, agrees with Bush on a bunch of things. Last week, even Tim Russert gave Kerry a ton of openings to define himself seperate from Bush and he didn't take one opening. Something is wrong here and I don't know what it might be, I just wrote out some possibilities. There is one more possibility I didn't say and that is the Dems are waiting until after the convention to pour it on, but if that's the case they are going to lose 'the hearts and minds' of the faithful and the 'on the fence' voter. Posted by: Sally on May 5, 2004 07:05 PMThe fight is on http://www.drudgereport.com/rcmu.htm, this book will give an even more frightening insight into Bush that will rattle the moderates. Posted by: Sally on May 5, 2004 07:12 PMMorgana, Excellent article! In regards to Senator Kerry, alot of people are dissappointed with his performance right now. But remember that Kerry is the comeback kid. People thought his candidacy was dead and then he came back in the primaries and scored a slam dunk. Kerry is just biding his time. If your opponent is flailing about and sinking deeper and deeper in his own mess, the best thing you can do is to stay out of the way and let your opponent go down. Kerry will be back, and I predict that he's going to win the election in a slam dunk. All this stuff about the country being divided is true, but come November, it will be clear that Bush's presidency and his policies have been an absolute disaster. Even Bush's supoporters won't be able to defend him. Kerry is going to win in a landslide. Mark my words. Posted by: Dave on May 5, 2004 07:47 PMcnn wants to know if you think Rummy should resign over the torture horror. Posted by: shylurker on May 5, 2004 07:51 PMYour post could not have come at a better time, Sally. Insightful and articulate you are able to engage both emotion and intellect. These Scorpio Moon days are ones this Gemini (Moon in Cancer) steels herself for. The emotional depth of thought can be rather disconcerting for i have been tormented by the acts of those who believe torture is an acceptable part of ongoing war games. I am at once both the tortured and torturer. I am at once the parent, sister, brother of those involved. We must raise our level of consciousness. If we continue to accept this sort of travesty we will reap the consequences. The Laws of the Universe are clear on this. Were humyns to fully understand this, then our more mundane laws would have already been applied. Bush, Ashcroft, Rove, et al would currently be imprisoned. Unfortunately, by not declaring "war" per se, they can skirt both the Geneva Convention and other laws pertinent to war crimes. However, as you indicate they cannot skirt the Laws of the Universe. Yes, I'm rattled by all of this but will look to arm myself with LOVE via Pallas Athena. ;-) Thank you, Sally. These are just terrific. karen -- farrout Posted by: farrout on May 5, 2004 08:11 PMFarrout, are you a Gemini? If so you are one of the lucky ones to have Pallas in your sign. I can hardly wait until it comes back to my sign, it was a great month, six weeks. This book I posted above is going to back fire even under the best of circumstances. No matter who you are when Saturn is around your planets you are going to sing off key and they are singing off key. Bush today goes on a channel that the Iraqi's consider an arm of the US and they don't trust, the other channel they do trust, there are already protesters who want all the prisoners free. There will be demands here and in England for the detainee camp in Cuba to be inspected and the Afghan ones. This is just beginning to whirl out of control and there is at least one more scandal coming. I hope Dave is right about Bush, but at this rate Kerry won't win, Bush will lose. Posted by: Sally on May 5, 2004 08:28 PMThank you all for the Happy Birthday thoughts. In regard to "the aspects that look good for John on election day"...you write that Libra rules his MC. The two charts I have for Kerry show 21 degrees of Virgo up top. To my knowledge, that means MC is ruled by Mercury(or Virgo/Gemini in his case, or to put it more succintly, Mercury in Capricorn, or if you really want to get techical...Saturn) rather than Libra. When you write that Libra rules the MC are you referring to possibly "progressed MC"? Janice Posted by: janice on May 5, 2004 08:32 PMNo, I do mean the natal MC, Kerry's birthtime was 8:03 am (Lois Rodden) 16 degrees Sag, with a Virgo interception in the 9th house, making the 10th house Libra. Posted by: Sally on May 5, 2004 08:38 PMThanks Timothy for that.... to Dommael Posted by: Raj on May 5, 2004 08:42 PMWell, that's interesting. I have a 7:10 AM birthtime(Astroconsultants of Santa Monica..via Claudia...name obscured). And accounting for ...I assume...war time...that does give the 21 Virgo Midheaven. Hmmm. Posted by: janice on May 5, 2004 08:47 PMshylurker, I don't know how anyone expects a resignation from Sally, you're great! I remember you saying, many months back now, that it looked like Dean would be very pleased on election day. Could it be perhaps that his current focus and efforts nationwide to get more dems elected to the house and senate will be paying off? Posted by: Jeanie on May 5, 2004 08:51 PMJanice, that is interesting indeed, but I always take Rodden over anyone else because of their rating system and this was rated AA (meaning birthcertificate or baby book Posted by: Sally on May 5, 2004 08:53 PMJanice, I think the earlier time was posted in several places first, and then corrected/updated later. I too am a Gemini with 4 planets there in my 5th house so am not perhaps as intellectually inclined as some of the people here, but enjoy the conversation immensely and enjoy participating. I am in whole-hearted agreement with you on your account of John Kerry. Perhaps our circumstances will be vastly different come November. I suspect they will be as so much stuff is going on. I couldn't get the link to Drudge to go through. I'll try a google to get the book info. Is it about prison scandal? Did anyone listen to Diane Rehme today - 2nd hour? Joseph Wilson did an hour interview with her. What did he have to say? I get a liberal program out of Chicago on Saturday evenings (Jennings & Jeffers) and they were talking about all the recent books about the corruption in the Bush Admin. and Jennings said that a Washington "higher up" told hime that if these books don't stop coming out that discredit the Bush admin. that they will use the Patriot Act to have them stopped. That was all that was said about it, and no one called in to question further. Has anyone heard of this threat? David Jennings is a political yst (Washington D.C.) and is of the highest integrity so I trust his statements. His comments were part of a larger conversation about Bob Woodwards's new book. Posted by: Beverly on May 5, 2004 09:09 PMJust heard on NPR "Day to Day" the Micheal Eisner of Disney will not allow distribution of Michael Moore's 9/11/Bush Family Connection Documentary to be distributed through Miramax. "Disney is not political" he says, but the truth is that if it gets to Florida, some of his tax breaks may not be forthcoming from Jeb. You would think he would tread a little lightly after all the mess he has been through lately. Moore is going to use the issue to further his cause. Intersting. Posted by: Beverly on May 5, 2004 09:16 PMI see now from searches to several astro sites(Llewelyn, Mt. Astrologer) that the 7:10 time has been revised to the 8:03 time(Mt. Astrologer as of March 5,2004). I just wonder how many other astrologers are still basing their commentary on the 7:10 time. Certainly does look like a whole new different world to me.... Sigh. Posted by: janice on May 5, 2004 09:27 PMAfter reading this article, I felt even more strongly that reality, astrological and otherwise, is determined by how we're looking at an issue at any give time. As a Pisces, I often find that to be the case. As I recall, there was an article by Nancy in the last 3 months painting an absolutely glowing portrait of Kerry's chances of winning and the fact that he is (or could be) meant for greatness. Mention was also made (I don't remember by whom) of W being depressed on Nov. 2 and thereafter. Both serve as contrasts to this article (although I always knew Bush had good Jupiter & Venus aspects on election day). Is this an example of selective reality? I myself don't see John Kerry as walking on egg shells but more as keeping a slightly lower profile (remember he misspoke a few times and put his proverbial Sag. foot in his mouth)and giving Bush enough rope... It would be difficult for any candidate to keep on top of all of these daily & weekly Uranian type issues and I know Kerry is trying to address them but he cannot do it all. In this age of media distortion, he MUST be careful of what he says as anything and everything will be blow out of proportion. I agree that his persona CAN be that of a pre-packaged politician - all those years in Congress account for that - and, at times, he CAN seem a bit too easy-going, but he is probably not yet showing everything he's got. He is well know for his difficult victory against the ex-gov. of MA and, from what I've heard, he's triumphed often in the past. I hope he is not ill as I imagine the endurance needed for a U.S. presidential campaign roughly equals that of a triathalon participant. People said on DemocraticUnderground that Kerry's speech at Westminister College last week was very articulate and presidential. And, although I am a major supporter of Howard Dean and his message, I saw that Howard didn't have the built in shield needed to debate well under pressure. I felt that during the Democratic debates, John Kerry was the most consistently articulate speaker who exhibted great intelligence and common sense and elicited much cheering and applause. And with all of his Gemini planets, how could he not be articulate? I saw the Meet the Press segment and felt Kerry fielded all of the fast balls thrown his way by Russert very fluidly and with calm strength. I did have a problem with his sugar-coating the term "astrocities" and changing it to mistakes, but he may have a good reason. I do think/feel he would make an extremely good, mature, and dignified president (which doesn't mean to say he wouldn't make mistakes). He is NOT "W" and he is NOT a Neocon. However, he IS a politician and, as such, he has had much experience. However, if he ends up not running, being a member of the ABBB party myself, I could quickly learn to appreciate whichever Democratic candidate takes his place as there are many good ones with the potential to grow into the presidential role. Thank you, Sally, for your good work in this article. I guess there just really are no guarantees in life. No matter what, this is a GREAT forum! Much love, light & strength to Morgana, to everyone on this website, to earth and all creation beyond earth. Let's be calm and keep a clear and simple mind in this time of changes. I am in such agony over the torture of the Iraqi people... most of the 'detainees' are civilians, who were 'swept up' --- what in the world did women and children do to "terrorize" us...? and the atrocities that have been inflicted upon them... Namaste Posted by: Jo on May 5, 2004 09:47 PMThanks Skylurker, I found the article on Drudge. Posted by: Beverly on May 5, 2004 10:05 PMSharon! I was thinking the same thing you did about Nancy's previous articles awhile back that did indeed seem to paint a glowing picture of Kerry's chances of winning and a sort of depressed Bush on election day. I know we are all on an emotional see-saw of sorts with the daily ever changing world situation, but now I feel terribly confused as well. We seem to flip flop from one rush of elation over Kerry's chances and Bush's "no chance in hell" of winning this next election back again to Kerry's chances now seeming slight if at all. It's all very depressing to say the least. I think we all need a day off from this stuff ... focus in on the light and push back the darkness. I've got my garden started and I'm going to take my fustrations out on the weeds and rocks and let the world manage without me for a day or two! I hope the "news" is better when I get back! Love this site - everyone that contributes here is magnificent and you are all candles in the darkness in your own way! Bless you all! Posted by: Siobhan on May 5, 2004 10:30 PMThere is a good article over on Salon.com regarding the Kerry Campaign called "Premature Panic," and is worth a read. Also, the NYT's David Brock's article, http://www.nytimes.com/2004/05/04/opinion/04BROO.html Thanks Sally for some amazing work. Meanwhile, did anybody hear about the Michael Moore film being denied distributorship by Disney, owner of Miramax? Seems Eisner is afraid of losing his tax breaks from Jeb. The greed and corruption keep piling up. I figure Saturn is now within the 5 deg orb for Bush's Sun. The week of May 24 should be interesting as Mars will conjunct and stimulate Saturn at what will be then 11 deg Cancer. Not there yet, but coming, its coming. Posted by: Sharon on May 5, 2004 10:44 PMSioban, I think I also remember someone, perhaps it was Nancy, saying ages and ages ago it was that Bush will lose more than Kerry will win. And, where can we learn more info on Pallas? Posted by: Janet on May 5, 2004 10:48 PMOops Beverly, just saw where you mentioned the Moore film. I am slow catching up. Love the "Jennings and Jeffers" show. I hear it across the lake on WLS, the only thing on that radio station I can stomach these days. I still mourn the loss of Ski and Skinner on Sunday afternoons. I sit here streaming "Air America" and reading this site. Thanks too for the Robert Hand reference. I've been over there on Stariq checking out his archives. He has some great stuff. Btw, war room over on Salon.com was mentioning secret hospital stays for Cheney. Anyone hear anything about that???? Posted by: Sharon on May 5, 2004 10:53 PMI commented on the Micheal Moore issue right here about an hour ago. I think it is outrageous. Morgana, my prayers and love are headed your way. Posted by: Janet on May 5, 2004 11:04 PMSharon, you didn't post that 11:03 posting, I did. It is meant for you. This is the second time today I have done that. Will try to be more careful. Posted by: Beverly on May 5, 2004 11:06 PMBeverly, well at least you aren't double-posting, an affliction which has plagued me recently. Posted by: shylurker on May 5, 2004 11:09 PMRaj: There is a 60 year cycle, but that's not the only one, as an example, the Civil War never ended, just went underground. As to your question about a nuclear bomb being dropped as it was 60 years ago, I think that's possible. Pluto was discovered on 2.18.1930 at 4:00pm, Flagstaff, AZ. Pluto was at 17 degrees Cancer. There have been several hits to that chart over the last 60 years, and the Moon and Saturn was conjuncting that point when the Bomb was dropped on Japan and the world has lived in constant fear of it since then. I would say there is a good chance next year when Uranus squares the 9 degree Gemini (the atom bomb degree) GWB Mars squares 9 degrees of Gemini and his progressed Sun is there now. I think it's probably been talked about, but as I said there have been dangerous times off and on for the last 60 years, it's always been a possibility. Janet, get the book Asteroid Goddesses by Demetra George, she is the leading authority on Asteroids and the book has an Ephemeris for several asteroids. However, over 35 years ago one of my mentors told me that when Pallas Athena is in your sign, it's easy to manifest or create what you want, so I have followed it for myself, my kids and my clients and have found that to be true. She travels in an erratic pattern, sometimes staying a couple of months up to several months in a sign and she takes a little over three years to get around the chart. My experience is both positive and negative thoughts will manifest on not an absolute regular basis, but enough that it's pretty amazing. Last time I thought about getting an area rug for my home but the one I wanted was nearly $2,000, way out of my price range so I forgot about it. One day I was driving down the street and felt compelled to go into this carpet store, the carpet I had wanted six months before was in a close out and I got it for less than $300.00, this is just one example. I got a raise that month, a bonus and on and on. Then it went out of my sign and I fell back to earth. The trick seems to be just think it and let it go without anxiety. Sally, Does Pallas Athene also affect us when it crosses other major natal points? For example I have 10 d. Cancer rising and moon/Pluto conjunct in 18/17 d. Leo opposite Mercury in Aquarius at 12 d. When it transits one's accendant, do we project ourselves differently? When it crosses our moon, might it also give us that creative power? Thanks! Sharon Posted by: Sharon Katz on May 5, 2004 11:44 PMIt does however it doesn't affect those planets the whole time it's in your sign. As an example, if you are a Gemini and say your sun is at 2 degrees Gemini Pallas will impact your whole sign for the duration. In the case of single planets (not the Sun) it has to be pretty much a direct hit and only for the time it's there, also the benefits are a little more erratic. Let's take your Moon/Pluto conjunction, you could have an argument or disagreement with a woman (Pallas the Warrior) but it turns out in your favor. That kind of thing. Posted by: Sally on May 5, 2004 11:49 PMKerry's saturn return Skylurker, I am sitting here at the library wanting to laugh out loud, but can't. I learned that lesson the hard way through my impatience. If stuff doesn't move ASAP when I hit that post button, I think it didn't take and hit it again. I had to slow down. This morning my posts took along time to go through, so I think I got that problem licked as I really disciplined myself to only hit once. Has anyone heard of or read "The Coming Economic Collapse of 2006" by Michael Mandeville? I would like to know what is in those 7 chapters. I can't find it at the library inter-loan service. Thank you, Sally, for answering. I now have a question for anyone who has any thoughts on the matter. I have a little money, $2-3K, in the stock market (Disney & a Janus mutual fund) that I was trying to forget about so that it could make at least a partial comeback. I'm beginning to think that I should just bite the bullet & sell since it looks pretty much like such a wild ride is coming. What do you guys think about that? In fact, I'm reluctant to invest all or maybe any of my savings in anything but (maybe) short term bonds or real estate, so that I will have liquidity in case of a coming economic collapse. Is it a good time to start buying gold? Are any of you thinking along these lines? Thank you! Not sure about Disney, but Janus could be coming back. Gold will dip by fall but Silver is on a steady climb. The Euro looks good and look for some bargains in China. Health care, and private Water Companies, if I knew who I would say something in alternative energy. Tom Hanks has just heavily invested in a hybrid auto company (one that doesn't use gas) do some exploring on the net and see if you can find which one. Posted by: Sally on May 6, 2004 12:47 AMSharon, I forgot, if you buy gold wait until it goes down again in the fall, just watch it closely. I used to do stock charts for JP Morgan clients and Merrill Lynch, I also was a consultant for the international network of bankers, I don't have the time any more but I do have some connections still and they try to keep me pretty up to date on what is going on because some of my clients have several million in the market and they are nervous and asking the same questions you are. I've been told that someone is manipulating the gold market, but they don't expect that to last forever. Silver still seems ok Dear Morgana, Some ideas about dealing with illness, etc.--I am often ungraceful and flatfooted in my remarks (Sun and Mercury in impersonal Aquarius, Moon in cold Capricorn, Venus in hell-for-leather Sag) so please forgive the presentation and just consider the idea. And that is, treat illness, infection, etc. with Distain. You are above it. It is beneath you. You will not be bothered. You are impervious. For me--and also, because I insisted on it--for my emotional Scorpio daughter--this works. Your immune system is supreme! Keep that in mind. Posted by: Barbara on May 6, 2004 01:28 AMThanks very much for the info, Sally :-). I guess you're of the mindset that it's ok to invest, but I still don't like the idea of keeping my money tied up (other than gold or silver or, possibly, real estate). It's hard to not be paranoid when reading some of the material by astrologers such as Palden (I think it is) or Blaschke about the upcoming years, especially 2012 - Namaste, Noah T. Winer of MoveOn.org wants as many citizens as possible to let Disney know how they feel concerning Michael Moores film/contact info listed below: Oscar-winning director Michael Moore has finished his latest documentary, but The Walt Disney Company is refusing to let the American public see it. The film, "Fahrenheit 911," is critical of President Bush's actions before and after Sept. 11 and describes Bush's relationships with powerful Saudi families, including that of Osama bin Laden. According to the New York Times, Moore's agent says embattled Disney chief Michael Eisner feared the documentary could endanger the company's tax breaks in Florida, where Bush's brother, Jeb, is governor. We can't let corporate favors for politicians dictate what movies we see. Tell Disney to show us Michael Moore's documentary: Thomas Staggs If the line is busy, call a Disney store near you. I'm not as gloomy about the future since I'm counting on that 2012 renewal of the Mayan calander (why not, at this point). With regard to Bush, I'm an dabbler but I can speak to two critical events. 1) On September 9th, our fine fellow has a zero orb square of transiting Saturn (in the 12th) to his Mid-Heaven (in the 9th). What dark recesses will emerge from the Bush mind to interact with his Mid Heaven. I think Rob Hand (Planets in Transit) is on target: "Often there is an 'alienation crisis' with this transit, a sudden feeling of being cut-off from everyone else, as if you had spent too much energy pursuing purely personal goals. This in turn generates lonliness and a feeling of being distanced from others, even loved ones. Or you may suddenly feel you no longer have the strength to go on in the direction you have chosen. Fears of your own inadequacies may distort your perspective." This is, of course, the nevagive manifestation and it's right on for Bush. He's 'alienated' from the public and 'cut off' by the imipending loss of the election. His 'purely personal goals' are to disgusting to imagine. He lacks the 'strength' in the form of his backers to go on. On the Saturn Return, mon dieu! He's in for trouble. The 12th house is supposed to offer some positive benefits for Saturn. In the case of Bush, it will be more in tune with difficult reputation of both the planet and house. All of his hidden stuff is coming up, starting with the connection between Iraqi prison torture and Bush's fascination with killing Texas death row inmates (some defended by sleeping counsel) at a record pace. If this is the prelude, just imagine what will be happening around October 8th. It will be, as they say in NYC, a 'horror show.' Once again, I'm an novice applying Ocam's Razor to this task and selecting the least complicated explanation in order to achieve clarity (or maybe some peace of mind since I like the outcome). Posted by: Mike on May 6, 2004 06:43 AMOh I just had to share this - Sesame Street politics! LOL "The world is an extraordinarily complex mix of ideas and factions, and the problems we face as a people are probably as multifaceted as any in recent memory. Yet here we are, six months before November, with an election that looks like something out of Sesame Street: The 2004 presidential race, brought to you by the colors red and blue." Posted by: Jeanie on May 6, 2004 06:45 AMI don't feel gloomy about all this Mike, I do know that with all the Pluto in our chart from the 1st house we are not going back to the same thing, pluto changes things forever. I'm not sure globalization is really awful if the right people are running it and held accountable. Saturn in the 12th is known to be the placement that could benefit the most from therapy. I would have to agree with this. Bush's transits are really good on election day, however I have said over and over, he has to get from here to election. What he and his group are going through now is just a warm up for what's coming for them. I heard Jay Rockefeller on Charlie Rose tonight and he really laid it on the line about this Presidency and with a very firm voice said "no one wants to hear this, but someone has to say it outloud." He literally sneered at the suggestion that Bush was a person to "stay the course." He said no, he's just inflexible, won't listen to anyone but the people who have been giving him really bad advice." If Karen Hughes or Karl I've heard that this is just the tip of the iceberg on the social problems in Iraq created by the US. Rockefeller also said this country will ultimately pay a high price for not being grounded in understanding other cultures, geography and history and that is part of the problem in Iraq.He was beyond blunt tonight. Like Morgana says, pass the popcorn this is going to be good. Posted by: Sally on May 6, 2004 07:18 AMSally, excellent astrology and intuition. From an outside perspective it is easy to be critical of Americans, as the world is. Unfortunately this persona appeals to a large portion of Americans, people enjoy violence, esp. when you have been exposed to it as a form of entertainment, and have never been on the receiving end. Yes Venus is going to do something in June This is what I wrote about the Venus Transit several weeks ago, since then I've seen some other articles on this occurrence, if you keep watch I am sure you will find some additional information. I would certainly think of finding this tomb as an omen. The thing I have found in my reserch on the Venus Transit is it always seems to have something to do with humanity needing to move beyond their boundaries of understanding and then 8 years later when the next transit occurs finding a way to communicate and make the new an inclusive part of our consciousness. This is from Riders of the Storm Part III "The “Venus Transit” a very rare occurrence where the planet Venus passes between the Earth and Sun, kind of like an eclipse. These “Venus Transits” or eclipses come in pairs, separated by 8 years minus 2 days, and have always had to do with some kind globalization. No one alive has seen one of these transits. Beginning with 1518 (1526) In Gemini) Magellan navigated the globe, expanding consciousness It would appear that the Venus eclipse when in Gemini relates to “land or cosmos discovery” with a resultant shift in expanded consciousness, mass enlightenment. The eclipses in Sagittarius relates to inventions that would “connect” us with our discoveries. Will we hear from UFO’s, find out there was life on Mars or that there IS life on Mars, it will be bigger than Sedna that’s for sure. The “Venus Transit” is on June 8th and is right on top of John Kerry’s Moon, and GWB’s Draconic (soul/spirit) Mars. According to Vedic tradition this is a turning point for the world, the actual starting point of “The Golden Age” coming to a conclusion in 2012. Will it be Kerry or Bush to lead us to this “mass enlightenment,” or is there someone unknown waiting in the wings? One thing is for sure after June, someone must be able to give us, the people, a vision beyond what we have today and they will have to sustain it through the 2008 Election."
The NYT has an editorial today, "Another Vision of Iraq," that applauded Kerry's positive approach to Iraq. It begins: Regarding David Brook's 5/4/04 editorial about Kerry, "Right Face, March!" - maybe I missed something, Jo, but I didn't see it as a one-sided criticism of Kerry. He actually seemed to be approving of the Kerry campaign's political strategy (as he sees it) and seemed to express that Kerry's centrist position is the one that will help him out the most. Posted by: shylurker on May 6, 2004 09:37 PMPallas18, Most astrologers know when rare plantary aspects are going to happen because they are usually in some book someplace and I ran across this in one of my books about 25 years ago. I remembered it would be this year and checked when. I am attaching the website I used for the when. Then I go back in history to see what major thing was happening world wide (or would affect the world's knowledge) at that time. The Venus transit has only occured in the Sag/Gemini polarity, so I figured it had to be something educationally related and/or cosmic related. Actually it wasn't hard to see what happened that would be a world wide impact once I narrowed it down to the Sag/Gemini qualities. I agree with Jeannie assessment above, however I do think there will be some type of event sometime this year that will reinforce the spiritual awakening and it won't just be in the US, it must be something to impact worldwide. Our spirituality is based on our own filters and those filters are narrow at best, and when considering the world, those filters are chaotic. Let's just take the 1518/1526 Venus Transit and Magellan's navigation of the globe, proving that the earth was not flat. Over the next 8 years as this information was slowly communicated around the globe, think how people's filters had to change dramatically in order to incorporate this information into their consciousness, think how that would impact their own personal spirituality, even expand in frightening ways for some. Those who were of a fearful nature would have suddenly realized that they had more to fear around the corner than they had thought. Those of a expansive or curious nature realized they had more to learn. Let's just suppose a space ship landed and then took back off, over the next 8 years every major religion would have to rethink their beliefs rethink and expand and it will be mental and don't look for the event to necessarily happen in June, first of all because Venus is retrograde which means the events will unfold slowly. It won't be until July 23rd that Venus will even have crossed back over her shadow to conjunct the point of her June 7 transit. After that look for Dec. 30/31 for a clue (Venus in opposition to this point)And then again late May of 2005 when Venus returns to that point. On any major transit or eclipse always look for the 1st planet to cross the aspect point. In this case, the first planet will be Mercury. (one side note, this Venus Transit sextiles the WTC Venus and squares the WTC Sun, I will have thoughts on that one later)The outer planets and eclipses provide slow change, it's the inner planets that provide timing. Also Pallas thanks for the compliment but I have spent the better part of my life as a researcher, I've been doing Astrology for over 35 years and my mentor has been doing Astrology for over 60 years so I am blessed with a great deal of information. Thanks to my parents and genes I have a really good memory and remember aspects and information I received maybe 35 years ago and it will pop back into my consciousness when something comes up that is related to it. Even if it was just an event or date that I happen to remember. I have been a consistent student of history, ancient religions, human relations, psychology, astrology and physics and I have just wonderful resources to call upon who are always helpful in passing along information. If you get old enough all the information that seemed useless suddenly will be useful when needed. Here are some highlights from the latest reports, illustrating why: Presidential advisor Karl Rove "believes that it will take a generation for the United States to live this scandal down in the Arab world." [2] The Washington Post reports that "U.S. officials said Rumsfeld and the Pentagon resisted appeals in recent months from the State Department and the Coalition Provisional Authority to deal with problems relating to detainees." [3] The Post also links the culture that fostered torture to Rumsfeld, in a searing editorial excerpted below. Amazingly, Rumsfeld still doesn't seem to see that the despicable acts at Abu Ghraib prison amounted to torture. According to Salon.com: "My impression is that what has been charged thus far is abuse, which Rumsfeld's simply got to go. Please make your calls today. Please let us know you've called, at: http://www.moveon.org/callrumsfeld.html?id=2801-1558006-yYuUu4kmDf4h0rV6GjD_Bw Thank you. Sincerely, - Carrie, Joan, Noah, Peter, and Wes P.S.: Here are key excerpts from the Post editorial: Mr. Rumsfeld's Responsibility THE HORRIFIC abuses by American interrogators and guards at the Abu Ghraib prison and at other facilities maintained by the U.S. military in Iraq and Afghanistan can be traced, in part, to policy decisions and public statements of Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld. Beginning more than two years ago, Mr. Rumsfeld decided to overturn decades of previous practice by the U.S. military in its handling of detainees in foreign countries. His Pentagon ruled that the United States would no longer be bound by the Geneva Conventions; that Army regulations on the interrogation of prisoners would not be observed; and that many detainees would be held incommunicado and without any independent mechanism of review. Abuses will take place in any prison system. But Mr. Rumsfeld's decisions helped create a lawless regime in which prisoners in both Iraq and Afghanistan have been humiliated, beaten, tortured and murdered -- and in which, until recently, no one has been held accountable. The lawlessness began in January 2002 when Mr. Rumsfeld publicly declared that hundreds of people detained by U.S. and allied forces in Afghanistan "do not have any rights" under the Geneva Conventions. That was not the case: At a minimum, all those arrested in the war zone were entitled under the conventions to a formal hearing to determine whether they were prisoners of war or unlawful combatants. No such hearings were held, but then Mr. Rumsfeld made clear that U.S. observance of the convention was now optional. Prisoners, he said, would be treated "for the most part" in "a manner that is reasonably consistent" with the conventions -- which, the secretary breezily suggested, was outdated. . . . The Taguba report and others by human rights groups reveal that the detention system Mr. Rumsfeld oversees has become so grossly distorted that military police have abused or tortured prisoners under the direction of civilian contractors and intelligence officers outside the military chain of command -- not in "exceptional" cases, as Mr. Rumsfeld said Tuesday, but systematically. Army guards have held "ghost" prisoners detained by the CIA and even hidden these prisoners from the International Red Cross. Meanwhile, Mr. Rumsfeld's contempt for the Geneva Conventions has trickled down: The Taguba report says that guards at Abu Ghraib had not been instructed on them and that no copies were posted in the facility. The abuses that have done so much harm to the U.S. mission in Iraq might have been prevented had Mr. Rumsfeld been responsive to earlier reports of violations. Instead, he publicly dismissed or minimized such accounts. He and his staff ignored detailed reports by respected human rights groups about criminal activity at U.S.-run prisons in Afghanistan, and they refused to provide access to facilities or respond to most questions. In December 2002, two Afghan detainees died in events that were ruled homicides by medical officials; only when the New York Times obtained the story did the Pentagon confirm that an investigation was underway, and no results have yet been announced. Not until other media obtained the photos from Abu Ghraib did Mr. Rumsfeld fully acknowledge what had happened, and not until Tuesday did his department disclose that 25 prisoners have died in U.S. custody in Iraq and Afghanistan. Accountability for those deaths has been virtually nonexistent: One soldier was punished with a dishonorable discharge. On Monday Mr. Rumsfeld's spokesman said that the secretary had not read Mr. Taguba's report, which was completed in early March. Yesterday Mr. Rumsfeld told a television interviewer that he still hadn't finished reading it, and he repeated his view that the Geneva Conventions "did not precisely apply" but were only "basic rules" for handling prisoners. His message remains the same: that the United States need not be bound by international law and that the crimes Mr. Taguba reported are not, for him, a priority. That attitude has undermined the American military's observance of basic human rights and damaged this country's ability to prevail in the war on terrorism. Posted by: Jonathan on May 6, 2004 09:59 PMJonathan, don't know exact, exact, because I'm not sure of the time without looking it up, but looking at the ephemeris dates quickly it would be somewhere between 17+ & 18+ gemini Jonathan, according to the German Ephemeris, Venus turns retrograde on May 18 at 26 Gem and goes direct again on Jun 30 at 9 Gem. BTW, on Aug 2, Venus will be back at 26 Gem. Hope this helps. (I am NOT an astrologer. Sigh.) DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (Reuters) - A purported statement by al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden (news - web sites) offered rewards in gold for killing U.S Iraq administrator Paul Bremer or U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan, an Islamist Web site said Thursday. The statement posted on the Web site said the 22 pounds of gold reward would also be given to anyone killing other officials including Bremer's deputy or U.N. envoy to Iraq Lakhdar Brahimi. "We in al Qaeda organization are committed to a prize of 10,000 grams of gold to whoever kills Bremer, his deputy, the commander of American forces or his deputy in Iraq," the statement said. I don't know if this was posted here before but Mountain Astrologer did an online write up of the venus sun transit. The author mentions the importance of women and I just started wondering. There is Sibel Edmonds, the FBI translator who has a "gag" order on her via Ashcroft & Co. I found her birthdata, it's Jan 18, 1970, 5:00am, Istanbul, Turkey. Could one of the better astrologers here take a look and see if she may become an important player, down the road? I notice that the June 8th transit has Pluto opp Venus/Sun with Pluto at 20 deg Sag, and this coincides with her rising sign, plus her natal sun/venus conj is 26-27 Capricorn which lines up with the Bush Admin chart. The Venus transit over the Sun line up hits Dubya's nodal axis too, right? Ah, I know what lenses I wear, but I keep on hoping for the breakthrough. After the Bay of Pigs invasion, John F. Kennedy told America ‘I am the responsible officer of this government.’ Today, I have a message for the men and women of our armed forces: as Commander in Chief, I will honor your commitment and I will take responsibility for the bad as well as the good. As President, I will not be the last to know what is going on in my command. I will demand accountability from those who serve, and I will take responsibility for their actions, and I will do everything that I can in my power to repair the damage that this has caused to America, to our standing in the world, and to the ideals for which we stand. ------------------------------ Bush has created a global network of extra-legal and secret US prisons with thousands of inmates Bush has created what is in effect a gulag. It stretches from prisons in Afghanistan to Iraq, from Guantánamo to secret CIA prisons around the world. There are perhaps 10,000 people being held in Iraq, 1,000 in Afghanistan and almost 700 in Guantánamo, but no one knows the exact numbers. The law as it applies to them is whatever the executive deems necessary. There has been nothing like this system since the fall of the Soviet Union. The US military embraced the Geneva conventions after the second world war, because applying them to prisoners of war protects American soldiers. But the Bush administration, in an internal fight, trumped its argument by designating those at Guantánamo "enemy combatants". Rumsfeld extended this system - "a legal black hole", according to Human Rights Watch - to Afghanistan and then Iraq, openly rejecting the conventions. As Billmon points out, Sidney Blumenthal's story in the Guardian includes: The Bush administration was well aware of the Taguba report, but more concerned about its exposure than its contents. http://www.guardian.co.uk/usa/story/0,12271,1210588,00.html Read the entire piece, definitely read Blumenthal's piece, and then convince yourself that Rumsfeld can survive this (he's on the hot seat tomorrow in the Senate). Then ask the same question of Bush. I think that the benefit of the doubt is long gone, and this story is getting more explosive every day. Posted by: Nancy on May 7, 2004 04:20 AMExcellent discussion of the Venus Eclipse... This led me to think of Thomas Pynchon's Mason and Dixon. The novel is in two parts. The second part is narrates the tale of their trip to American and the task of drawing the boundary line that bears their name. The first part of the novel, however, deals with their first voyage together (obviously in either 1761 or 1769) when they were sent to Cape Town South Afica in order to observe the transit of Venus across the disk of the sun. Mason was an astronomer and Dixon a surveryor and they were part of the global exploration set up by the Royal Astronomy to observe the transit of Venus. Teams were sent to various parts of the globe and it was in measuring the exact times of ingress and egress from various parts of the globe that longitude was finally established. Pynchon uses this in a subtle way to get at the main underlying theme of the first part of the novel: globalization. In observing the eclipse of Venus Mason and Dixon were actually completing the grid that mapped the globe. Perhaps this is food for thought concerning the coming Venus eclipse--perhaps what comes to be questioned is the whole foundation of global capitalism. This morning I read a piece which suggested the defeat in Iraq would bring down more than just the current Administration, but rather, perhaps, the whole "Establishment." http://www.counterpunch.org/lind05062004.html Rumsfeld's appearances before the Senate are supposed to begin at 11:45 tomorrow (Friday) am. Somebody please tell us how about the prospects? Many thanks. Posted by: shylurker on May 7, 2004 05:18 AMRUSH LIMBAUGH ON TORTURE OF IRAQIS Hours before President George W. As reported by Wonkette.com, Limbaugh's comments can be found on his website. From the May 4 Rush Limbaugh Show, titled "It's Not About Us; This Is War!" "Does any of the esteemed experts on this site have any information on what the furture might have in store for this drugged-up bag of foul hot air? Sharon: You rock, I have Murdochs birth info except the time, so this is great. And finding the birthdate of Sibel Edmonds is so great. I am going to take a look at that later. One thing I cannot understand is Bush has not and has refused to apologize for anything since the beginning of his occupation of the White House. But today King Abdullah II shows up and he is "I'm sorry" all over the place. Now the King (taking office on the death of his father King Hussein in 1999) is several years younger than Bush not seemingly a big player, just seems to slide around and quietly shows up at important events. Today when he showed up at the White House, Bush couldn't get out in front of the press fast enough to say "I'm sorry to the prisoners, I'm sorry to the families, I'm sorry to Iraq, I am sorry, sorry, sorry" I went back to look at who went to Hussein's funeral. Wow! Israel's Prime Minister, Arafat, Clinton, Bush, Sr., Ford, Carter, Blair, VP of Iraq, Yeltsin (in spite of the fact that his doctor advised against it) Prince Charles, Chirac from France, Germany's Schroeder, Kofi Annon, Japan's Prime Minister, the Son of Gaddafi. That's quite a list and the most prestigeous group to attend any state funeral since JFK. I wonder why Jordon commands such power and respect. Abdullah was born 01.30.1962 in Amman, Jordon (No BT) Jordon itself gained freedom on 05.25.1946 in Amman. Abdullah's Pluto sits on GWB Mars, and Jordon's Pluto conj. GWB Asc. but that would not account for this kind of power over it would seem, not just Bush but the world. Wonder what that is, but it is formidable to get Bush to say 'sorry." I am skeptical as to whether it will be the landing of a spacecraft. But something like this is clearly in the works. I don't know if any of you are fans of Star Trek, but in many ways Star Trek Deep Space Nine parallels many of the events that have been happening over the last 3-4 years. During the Pluto-Mars opposition, I had the disticnt feeling that we were at a certain point in the development of the series--if it is at all possible to parallel the Deep Space Nine and real world timelines. The Pluto-Mars opposition placed us in an episode called "Call To Arms." There are alot of things that happen in this episode, and I am not going to go into detail justifying the parallels. But it seems that there is an increasing sense that something almost miraculous is going to happen in connection to the Venus occultation. This is consistent with the parallels to Deep Space Nine. In the show, a group of extra-linear aliens intervenes in the timeline (blocking a massive alien invasion) to prevent a full-scale disaster for humanity and all of its allies and even its enemies. I think something like this may be coming. Whatever happens will appear to us almost--and I emphasize the word ALMOST--like a miracle. The general public may not fully come to grips with what has actually happened, but those of us who are sensitive to the happenings and ways of the natural universe will be astounded. My theory is that Kerry will make a big policy speech that reminds everyone why he's our guy. But it could be anything. Maybe the UN will rise above the petty bickering and bail out Bush's Iraq fiasco, but will somehow effectively endorse John Kerry in the process of doing so. In any case, I think we are likely to see the emergence of some sort of global consensus in opposition to George Bush. But who the hell knows anyway, right? Posted by: Dave on May 7, 2004 07:45 AMmy mistake checking this instead of going on to bed. Fascinating Dave and I think you are right. I do know that this year (I don't think it will be on June 7/8 but who knows) anyway, this year something is about to happen that we cannot even fathom and it will be world wide, or impact world wide. Between now and October we (the US) will be coming up on a series of events that will keep us spinning. I do know this, the most recent humiliation is just a softening up of the American people and GWB for a big humiliation coming down the pike, something that will shock the US masses and force us to look honestly at ourselves, a big shift in destiny. Posted by: Sally on May 7, 2004 07:57 AMKing Hussain was very charismatic, he was definately in that circle of power. My guess is he probably knew where the bodies are buried, so to speak, and past this on to his son. Jordan is the calm around the storm that is the middle east, I remember watching that funeral, that man did not go to the grave with secrets. King Abdullah was the recipient of all that power. Pallas I am from South Africa, we celebrated 10 years of democracy on the 27th of April and Rwanda marked 10 years of the massacre that killed over one million people on the 6/April/1994. We have obviously come a long way from the apartheid govt., but we are still at war, 28% of our pop. are infected with the HIV virus, more than 50% live below the poverty line, and about the same amount are unemployed. Lots of problems, the women in our country are really rising to the challenge, as they always do, in business and politics. It's unnatural to be burying babies and young people every weekend who have died from AIDS. So we have come from fighting the white govt. to fighting this monster. At the same time we have emerged into a world that is changing rapidly. Posted by: Azara on May 7, 2004 08:14 AMThanks Sally, Also, In my opinion it's long over-due for GWB's big humiliation. Another thing that happened today with Bush vs the King and Bush had to promise in public that he would see to it that Palestine would get a fair shake in this peace process. The KING basically made him refute what he told Sharon a few days ago. That's huge for Bush. Azara, your strength and the strength of your country leaves me awed and humbled. It is a test to the character of their King that Jordan has remained an ally of the West, particularly during this administration. Sharon has blatantly expressed his desire to run all Palestinians out of Israel and the West Bank into Jordan... sort of 'relocation' --- Bush's recent support of Sharon on maintaining settlements in West Bank was a slap in the face to Jordan. The king cancelled his meeting in the US with Bush at the time as a result... new date was pending... the meeting yesterday came not at the pResident's instigation but at King's behest... he represented the entire ME in expressing outrage over torture of Iraqi detainees... you can bet the meeting was not a pleasant one. Bush apologized to King in private and announced at his press conference that he had done so, which was a message to the entire Arab world. Relations are tattered between US and Jordan and the ME to say the least. The above is my humble take of course... He went to college in England. He was not supposed to ascend the throne, but his father, King Hussein, not long before he died passed over his older brother and named Abdullah as heir, to the dismay of many, because he felt Abdullah's character was better suited to deal with all the modern problems that the middle east faces. hey sharon...years ago i 'found' this book written by a messianic jew in virgina (jew for jesus), he said that in the end times the beast (who he interpreted as fundy islam -- and this is written in 1999 - pre 9/11 -- he goes on about bin laden -- got me so worked up that when 9/11 happened i was proclaiming bin laden before the news did, that's how spirited and convicing this guys book is), wants to destroy israel not because of one's run of the mill anti-semetism but a conscious as well as sub-conscious hatred for israel because jesus was born there. islam accepts jesus as a major prophet, along with moses but the fundys of course are hell-bent (excuse the pun!), so they are just about destruction, therefore 'possessed' so to speak, by evil, and the ultimate evil hates the prince of peace. that's where i got that from. yes jonathan, i was talking about present-day politics. i was talking to a mid east scholar the other day about all this and she told me that's what it's all about, that palestinians are jordanians that were axed (in the 20s i think she said?) and they have always been a 'troubled' people that jordan does not want back which is why they spearhead the idea of a palestinian state... anyone watch the rummy hearings? amazing! i was proud that there was a lot of respectable behavior going on, respectful of the LAW and my fave was the repub from s carolina (incidentally who was not present for the iraq vote), he really put it to rummy asking him if he can do his job, or if he can't...he says he can, but in the next 5 minutes says he doesn't take notes on meeting with the prez, doesn't remember things..i would think that means he CAN'T do his job, and the result shows it. can someone tell me why the above link to the venus/sun happening talks about taurus and libra being significan yet doesn't mention the 18 degree gemini significance at all? or is it all signifant: 18 gemini, and all cardinal signs at that degree AS WELL as libra and taurus???? he says it's about a shakeup can anyone get more specific..? These snippets from his radio show, juxtaposed with virtually unedited photos of the bestial abuses by our military personnel, was the most disgusting REAL TIME slice-of-life realty photo I've seen in recent memory. EVERYTHING seen from there has been an abomination, but these photos of what we ARE at our soul (many of of anyway) was awful, but not a surprise. Roxanne, regarding the Scofield article I referenced above, he was just refering to the traditionally ruled signs by Venus, which is Taurus and Libra. This would be on a personal level. My sun is in Taurus and I have Libra on the MC, so I will be "aware" during this occultation, out of curiosity if nothing else. This also got me to thinking of Saturn's transit thru the sign Cancer and how most "boomers" have Neptune in Libra and Uranus in Cancer, which means that the boomer generation are all getting the square and conjunction to those planets at some time this year, collectively and individually. Thankyou Trudy for sharing your vision.
Barbara Walters is interviewing Teresa Hines Kerry, right now Eastern Time Zone, if any one wants to tune in. What ever is said about the Venus Transit is pure speculation by any astrologer, guess work and what ever we say is guess work and a way to fill up articles. There have only been 4 of these celestial events since 1518 yielding very little historical data to analyze. There does seem to be a pattern of discovery affecting the whole of humanity and then able to address the encompassed result of that discovery and expanded understanding of the world we live in. As far as identifying the impact on individuals or trying to predict the impact on each individual is just a fun way to try out predictive tools. We have absolutely no data whatsoever of the impact on individuals. Who ever said that Libra and Taurus will in so manner be impacted just is pulling out of thin air. This is not a transit that says "what will happen to me" it is a transit that says "what will happen to us" and how will I understand it for myself. Posted by: Sally on May 8, 2004 03:36 AMAs the Bush administration and neo-cons and right wing seem intent to bring about the Bibilcal Armageddon we are going to be hearing more and more speculation about the anti-Christ, who is he, is he here? I am attaching a link regarding that very thing. It looks like he's been looked for and predicted to be hear since the 6th Century and we are still looking. http://members.aol.com/sanctifyd/antichrist.htm Posted by: Sally on May 8, 2004 04:15 AMIt is also said, Roxanne, that Jews descended from Jacob and Arabs from Esau, the 2 sons of Isaac. Jacob, prodded by his mama, offered to buy Esau's birthright for a bowl of poridge (sp)and he did. A little unbelievable. But Esau was supposed to be a very simple hunter. They were estranged for years but were able to have an emotional reunion later as Esau's life turned out very well. It is said in the old testament that G-d made each brother the head of a nation. Arabs & Jews, both semites, have so much in common, including many similar words in their respective languages. On another note, I caught Bill Moyer's NOW and that powerful photo essay of the abused prisoners with Limbaugh in the background saying people just gotta blow off steam. The the very conservative editor of the Wall St. Journal editorial section was also on. He and Bill just didn't see eye-to-eye on the war or Rumsfeld but it was a cordial discussion. The last story was a study of the almost ghost town of Rockfield, IL, once a very thriving manufacturing center. Wow! What will Americans do with so many manufacturing and technical jobs now outsourced? Even with the so-called job-growth the last 2 months, it was stated that the bulk was in low-paying serice jobs. I know Kerry has a plan. I hope he is refining it now so he can put it forth strongly in the first debate on Sept. 30th. Posted by: Jeanie on May 8, 2004 04:48 AMSigh, you sure George Bush didn't hit his head when he choked on that cracker????? Ok, just kidding, couldn't resist. Since I believe we create our reality in a continual kind of collective thought process, ie the illusion of culture as reality, it gets interesting how we write the 'script,' so to speak. NOW also did a bit on Sinclair Broadcasting, Fox et al, which again shows how media conglomerates are spinning into control over our Press. Now I must find out when that bill passed back in 1996. Clinton didn't veto it. Perhaps, if there is a shock in June, will then people wake up? Like Nancy wrote, its that cognitive disonance. Even now the denial of the seriousness by some of this latest prisoner abuse scandal, comparing it to hazing or justifying it by saying, "look what they did to the 4 contract workers in Fallujah." I can't help but wonder if perhaps that was why they did attack the contract workers in the first place. Word of mouth was out on the street about this for months. But that aside, it seems to me that America is doing its Cancerian shell routine and will continue to do so until Pluto applies enough force to break it or Neptune wears it down. Uranus will be the shatter factor. I found Rummy's birthtime. It's listed as 5:40pm. Only thing is, Chicago, back in 1932 listed all births in Standard time although practicing daylight time. So there is the possibility of 10 sag rising or 23 sag rising. Posted by: Sharon on May 8, 2004 05:08 AMI am terrified that the U.S. is doing its Nazi routine. Claudia Dikinis warned about this some time ago. I understand people being in shock and needing some time to absorb the "abuse" conducted in our name and funded by our tax dollars, but I'm shocked that so many are just watching the tv, mumbling something or other, probably feeling bad for a while, shrugging and just going about their business. I hear nowhere near the outrage--among those of us here in the U.S.--that you'd anticipate from a "civilized" society. And the pictures that are coming, apparently, will be even worse. Question: Do you think they will let us see those pictures, or do you think they will try and "shield" us from something so awful? Posted by: shylurker on May 8, 2004 05:19 AMI hope they do not show any more of the pictures - worse images will only serve to further lower energies of those watching. On another note, astroprofile.com has King Abdullah's birthtime as 5:23am, which gives him a 19Capricorn rising, putting most planets bunched up in his 1st house, uranus and pluto in the 8th, moon and neptune in the 10th. Posted by: Sharon on May 8, 2004 11:22 PMHestia, there are Iraqi's who loved torture of each other and other people. There are Americans who love torgure of each other and other people. There is the good bad and the ugly in every culture. The point however is the Iraqi's did not invade this country and tell us how to live because they were better people, we did that. We do not have a moral or religious clarity anymore than any other country. Sharon, good remark about McCain "someone to watch or watch out for." I'll remember that. As far as a good VP I don't know. I just don't know him, I don't know Kerry or any of them to say whether I like them or not. I know people who love Bush and think he's the best thing since sliced bread. Posted by: corleonis on May 9, 2004 12:43 AMSharon, from a non-astrology point of view, I'd say McCain is the one to watch out for. What some may view as an independent streak in McCain, others may view as an opportunistic streak. Posted by: Janet on May 9, 2004 12:52 AMCorleonis, sadly Saturn isn't quite done with him, however he does have Solar Arc Saturn in opposition to his Sun indicating new beginnings (Saturn is the one planet where an opposition relates to new beginnings instead of endings) and he has done that. Gore seems more and more to have moved on. I simply do not know what to think anymore, Kerry doesn't seem to be thinking fast on his feet that all his Gemini would indicate, but I don't rule out a change in him by August. Right now Bush seems to be working nicely on his own destruction, that's going to help Kerry. One thing that concerns me is whether Kerry has what it takes to bring the US back to at least a small level of credibility. They could trace easily this torture (I don't even know how to express my feelings about this) back to an ok from Cheney and or Bush, but I think there is going to be an even BIGGER scandal that takes the torture right off the page later into the summer. Did you ever see anything like the protection this man is receiving. Posted by: Sally on May 9, 2004 01:47 AMWho was it some time back that mentioned Lord of the Rings, return of the king symbology? I've had some interesting insights surrounding this - please email me if you're interested in discussing further. Sally, the spin just now when I tuned in CNN, was about the damage caused by a few soldiers who "failed to follow procedure." But the truth is, the damage is caused by US military and private contractors who Did follow procedure. Obviously, as Joe Conanson and also the Sacramento Bee have pointed out, this torture stuff wasn't thought up and implemented by a few enlisted guys and gals. Nope, they were just "following orders" as the phrase went after WW II. Not military code of conduct orders, of course, but right-wing "we can do anything we want to" orders. Re Kerry, if my opponent was in the spotlight shooting himself in the foot in front of all the world, I think I would lie low and not distract from his performance for now. I'm the one who likes Kerry so much. He's strong environmentally (League of Conservation Voters gave him over 90%), he's been on the foreign affairs comittee 20 years, he's so bright and articulate. I think the Eleanor Cliff article nailed it though: his timing is a bit off and he has not come out with strong and memorable statements. As Barbara & Corleonis said, I think he's being careful of media distortion, especially after seeing what the Republican-driven press did to Dean. But I believe there's a good chance he will really find his voice and when he does, I hope he roars. I feel that his inate dignity, integrity and quiet strength speak for themself, and, as people get to know him (Sept 30 - the first debate), they will admire this about him. I can hope, can't I? And maybe John McCain wasn't such a good idea for VP, but he's a good critic (you said he was a Virgo, didn't you, Sharon?) And he seems more honest than many others in government. I am a Gemini (Saturn/Sun 16 Gemini) with a Leo moon....so I was so delighted to see that Pallas will bring me some much needed respite. I haven't had work in months, I am living on borrowed and donated money and credit cards....Bushonomics is very unlovely to artists....during the reign of George the first, I lost my career AND my home and I am still in Chapter 13. My lessons, to be sure...but there always seems to be a Bush attached. (Billy Crystal said during the Oscars that the first time he had hosted the Oscars, Bush was president, the economy was tanking, and we were in a war in Iraq.) I am just so GLAD that all my "take" on it all is supported here. Bravo....bravo....bravo.....
