A Season of Change
Spring Equinox March 20, 2004
1:49 AM Washington, DC
Cast off the mantle of Winter. That cold, fear inducing, mind numbing emotion which creates depression and serves to debilitate you. Be done with 'oh woe is me', 'woe unto us'. Phooey.
How powerful a seed time we have with this Spring Equinox (Spring Ingress, Vernal Equinox, Oestara) and a new moon. How ironic that Bush celebrates his ultimate failure with the Iraq Debacle in the darkest phase of the passing season and waning moon. All his bravado and bushpucky will be lost in the abyss of darkness. How refreshing to see the media, journalists admit 'fear impacted their reporting' during the Iraqi War. "Fear of being out of sync with a punitive government'. (Full story).
Spring Equinox is all about the Sun. The US transit chart the Sun is 0 degrees Aries and we find it still in the US 3rd House at the mercy of the Press, the Internet, the Radio, all things involved in communication. Might be the journalists are feasting on the facts they ignored early on.
Pluto a very powerful player forms a square with the US natal Neptune, is in opposition to the US natal Mars. The Sun siting at the IC (midnight) and forms a sextile with this malefic configuration. We're going to hear about every juicy detail. Transiting Mercury in the US 4th House is opposing the US. natal Saturn in the 10th House, the pResidents. What a great combination where mercurial Loki is gona talk, talk, talk about all the errors committed by Bush's Administration.
The Spring Equinox Chart has an ascendent of 2 Capricorn. So the energies are good for about three months. Glaring and in your face finds Saturn 6 Cancer in opposition to the Ascendent, and Saturn then trines Uranus at 4 Pisces in the 2nd House. More of the unexpected coming down the pipe. Mars at 29 Taurus forms an inconjunct with Mid-heaven, Pluto sextiles Mid-heaven, and Jupiter forms an aggravating expanding agitation with the Mid-heaven. The image we have of ourselves and the state of the nation is really getting worked over by these thugs. Did I mention Chiron? No? Chiron too has formed a strong square with Mid-heaven. Whack, whack, whack. Yeow! The pResident is taking a public flogging with plenty of international overtones.
Several hours later the new moon makes her appearance. (Chart) In this chart Pluto sits at midnight, the IC just kissing the cusp and in opposition to Mid-heaven (power to the people!!!!), then squaring the Ascendent, then good ole Saturn in the 10th House forms a powerful trine with Uranus, and squaring both are the Sun and Moon in the 7th. On this day world wide anti-War anti-Bush protests marches are occuring in harmony all over Europe and two hundred cities in the US. Protestors are planting seeds of change. George may turn a deaf ear, a blind eye, America however is going to get an earfull and an eyefull. Payup time.
The US new moon transit chart finds transiting Pluto in opposition to the US natal Mars (big change factor). Uranus is freewheeling in Pisces in the 3rd House of media and communications. Hello Al Franken and Jeanine Garafalo let the airwaves fly! Saturn is transiting the sign of Cancer and constricting the powers of Jupiter, kind of like a pressure cooker without a vent. Old Scalia won't recuse himself gotta save his good buddy Cheney from the justice system that is looking to nail his tail for manipulating the Energy Policy with his oil cronies. Jupiter moving retrograde is just gona cause this miscarriage of justice in our highest courts to be reviewed time and time again. I hear Scalia doesn't even support the US Constitution, how sick is that?
Expect the coming days to roil throughout Spring and come to a boil in the long hot summer.
Want to get busy? Checkout Howard Dean's new project, House cleaning.
Still fearful? Betcha Bushy is blowin' twinkies.

Morgana, Morgana... thank you! Now I know tomorrow will be LOVELY! I especially like "Whack, whack, whack. Yeow! The pResident is taking a public flogging with plenty of international overtones." Tremendous image! I have to go back and really savor this. Namaste
Morgana -
I wish I had your light - but it is good enough that you light the way for such as the like of me...I'd like to see an analysis for Scalia...it is late here but with no comments here out of this sea of 'collateral damage' i thought i would comment once though I have no right with so many bright people here - well -Bravo and thanks anyway- Happy Spring!
M., synchronicity, my husband just asked me to do an analysis on Scalia, no kidding, we were standing on the porch enjoying the evening air. Might be a nice weekend project.
Thanks,
Morgana
Speaking of Pluto the link below indicates in article that Pluto on Kerrys sun indicates his connection to the times he is in.
http://www.california.com/~eameece/election2004.htm
I hope this url lights up so you dont have to
enter it.Quite an impressive piece of work about the Saturn return and a presidents electability.Author predicted on Nov 26th of last year that Kerry wold be the democratic nominee.
Saturn return the kiss of death for canidate as well as saturn in cadent house.Bush has both of these with the coming election.
Also says with saturn in Kerrys tenth for 2008 election he would win easily.
Morgana, Do you see how tight that square of moon to Pluto is in the US third house and the Mercury opposition to Saturn? The moon is the people the third house is the media and Pluto is..not real sure just what Pluto is at this point. But something coming down here that changes the way the media goes about its business and I dont think it is going to be pretty. You, I, eveyone is that moon and we are not going to be feeling not comfortable with that square to pluto and the feeling that the culture wars are spinning out of control in the next six months may be what we all are about to experience.
Fear, paranoia, rampart with it and the Pluto at nadar in new moon chart would also indicate this.
Just hope this does not indicate that a total hatchet job is done on Kerry.
geez, I see I did a double double negative.Should read we are not going to be comfortable with that square to Pluto. Please ignore second not.I NEED AN EDITOR!
Morgana - love your articles!! I hope you are right about hearing all the juicy details! It's about frickin time!!
It amazes me that there are still Bush supporters out there. Wake up, wake up, wake up. Spring equinox and a New Moon should begin the wake up.
Happy Spring everyone! The comments are nearly as good as the articles!! Love you guys!
Steve Bell, cartoonist for the London Guardian has a neat cartoon on Bush’s reaction to the Spanish reaction to M-11... I never thought I would see a reference to Prescott Bush and you know what!http://www.guardian.co.uk/cartoons/stevebell/0,7371,1173357,00.html

Rallies Mark First Anniversary Of Iraq War
Anti-war protesters march through the streets of Sydney
SYDNEY, March 20 (IslamOnline.net & News Agencies) – The Australians were the first to take to the streets Saturday, March 20, to mark the first anniversary of the U.S.-led invasion-turned occupation of Iraq, as massive rallies were planned worldwide for the same purpose.
Urged by church leaders and several community groups, the protesters marched through Sydney's downtown shopping district chanting “U.S. out of the Middle East, No Justice, No Peace,” U.S. daily The Washington Post reported. “Many Australians are disappointed that the government ignored their voices," said Anna Sampson, one of the demonstrators.
In the northeastern Australian city of Brisbane, marchers unfurled a 300-foot-long banner with the words: “We still say no to war”. They also held a lofty effigy of Prime Minister John Howard in a cage, saying it represented Australian terror suspects detained at the notorious U.S. military prison camp in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

If it walks like a duck, quacks... a fascist by any other name... Here are two items you might find interesting: Crawford protestors were arrested sometime back and were in Court last month... the 2nd item is from DailyKos concerning Bush's hiring of paramilitary and charging to campaign expense... So how close do you think protestors will get to the Convention in NYC?
Anti-war protestors convicted for demonstrating near Bush's ranch
Five protestors were arrested, convicted and fined in Crawford, Texas, under a local ordinance that is now being challenged as unconstitutional.
http://www.rcfp.org/news/2004/0218crawfo.html
Feb. 18, 2004 -- Five peace activists were found guilty Monday of illegally protesting in Crawford, Texas, under a local ordinance that almost completely curtails political demonstrations in President Bush's adopted hometown.
The ordinance -- which was passed after Bush was elected president in 2000 -- makes it a misdemeanor to hold a "procession, parade or demonstration" on any public space in Crawford without giving 15 days' notice, paying a $25 fee and obtaining the permission of the sheriff. After the demonstrators' arrest in May, the rule was changed to allow seven days' notice.
The law also says that demonstrators must confine their activities to the local high school football field. It does not define how many people constitute a "procession, parade or demonstration."
Bush and his wife, Laura, bought a ranch in Crawford in 1999.
The five activists admitted that they never obtained a permit, but claimed they were not engaged in a demonstration when they were stopped by a police blockade and arrested. They were fined between $200 and $500 apiece after a two-day jury trial.
Critics of the ordinance say it was designed simply to thwart demonstrators critical of the president.
"I think [the jury verdict] sends a clear message by the people of Crawford, Texas -- Bush's backyard -- that they don't like outsiders," said Jim Harrington, the attorney for the demonstrators. "They won't tolerate dissent or free-speech activities in their town."

There are plenty of things a campaign must pay for, but the Bush campaign may be the first presidential campaign to employ a company that specializes in paramilitary protection.

Iraqi Reporters Rebuff Powell, Leave News Conference
Fri Mar 19, 2004 07:50 AM ET
http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=topNews&storyID=4605526
BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Iraqi journalists walked out of a Baghdad news conference given by Secretary of State Colin Powell on Friday in protest at lack of security and the killing of two Iraqi journalists by U.S. troops.
"We declare our boycott of the conference because of the martyrs," Najim al-Rubaie of Iraq's Distor newspaper said in a statement read at the start of the news conference as Powell and Iraq's U.S. governor Paul Bremer looked on.
Morgana, you sure hit the nail on the head with this one!! When the crappy media gets exposed, maybe the rest of the cards will fall to? CNN is taking a big hit, see Josh Marshall's column: http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/ Maybe Al & Jeanine can give Rush & Sean et al a run for their money next? Thanks for the article, you restore my hope :)
Morgana,
Where is the PMoon (the people) in the USA chart at this time, by sign and house?
Morgana, all the previous posters have expressed my thoughts regarding your article. All I can add is thanks.
I am hoping our lap-dog media see the light, otherwise our struggle for "fair and balanced" news becomes an uphill battle. For, as it stands, the media is now pimping for this administration.
An example, our "balanced" journalist, Wolfie Blitzer, was interviewing Donald Trump, 3/19. He pressed Trump for an opinion on Bush and Kerry. I guessed Wolf hoped that Trump would endorse Bush and therefore Bush could ride on Trump's credibility as a successful and savvy business man. Trump's answer was non-partisan, he said that he knew and liked both men. That was not enough for Wolfie, he kept pressing for firm support for Bush. Finally Trump responded, "You'd be surprised to find out which party I belonged to." Wolfie drooled, waiting for the answer he thought he wanted to hear. Trump said, "I'm a Democrat." Then Trump quickly followed up, "Financially, the country has always done better under a democratic president."
Flustered and panicked Wolfie said, "What about Carter?"
Trump said, "That the one exception." And then Trump went on to give examples.
So, folks, with whorealists (oops, I meant to say journalists), like Wolfie and the gang at CNN, we're in trouble.

Eh Jo, moon's in Pisces 3rd House, looks like we'd like some news copy as well, protest anyone. There are four charts linked into the article. US Transit charts and the event charts.
Also noted the Crawford, Texas protestors were arrested. Looks like Texas has lost it's freedom of speech, then again look at Texas, Tulia is a good example.
The world is protesting! From CNN (of all places!)
War protesters mark anniversary
LONDON, England (AP) -- Anger over the war in Iraq remained sharp on the first anniversary of the U.S.-led conflict Saturday as protesters took to the streets in Europe and Asia, urging an end to the coalition occupation which they linked to international terrorism.
Thousands began marching through central London -- some of them waving placards that called U.S. President George W. Bush the "World's No. 1 Terrorist" -- after similar protests in Sydney and Tokyo.
Demonstrators also marched in India, Egypt, Turkey and the Philippines -- where they clashed with riot police, although no injuries were reported.
"I thought the war was illegal, and we need to all show our feelings about that," said Neil Andrew, a 57-year-old builder taking part in the London protest.

I just noticed that Saturn is rising as Bush speaks at the first campaign rally of his campaign in Florida. Started speaking at 12:14 today. Would an event chart hold any significance?
Hi Laurie, sure, Bush is launching his campaign, trying to start a grass roots movement (more weeds quick grab the herbicides). I'd also run Bushy's transits, progressions, probably Florida's state chart.
I keep turning the channel everytime they show his nasty little face today, can't stand listening to his lies. He is delusional and no one has told him so.
Nancy what do you think of Bush's seedings today in Florida?
Happy Spring Everyone!

The Unmentionable Source of Terrorism
by John Pilger
The current threat of attacks in countries whose governments have close alliances with Washington is the latest stage in a long struggle against the empires of the west, their rapacious crusades and domination. The motivation of those who plant bombs in railway carriages derives directly from this truth. What is different today is that the weak have learned how to attack the strong, and the western crusaders' most recent colonial terrorism (as many as 55,000 Iraqis killed) exposes "us" to retaliation.
The source of much of this danger is Israel. A creation, then guardian of the west's empire in the Middle East, the Zionist state remains the cause of more regional grievance and sheer terror than all the Muslim states combined. Read the melancholy Palestinian Monitor on the Internet; it chronicles the equivalent of Madrid's horror week after week, month after month, in occupied Palestine. No front pages in the West acknowledge this enduring bloodbath, let alone mourn its victims. Moreover, the Israeli army, a terrorist organisation by any reasonable measure, is protected and rewarded in the west.
con't http://antiwar.com/orig/pilger.php?articleid=2159
Unknown person please pick a handle. There are many here that agree with you. We all mourn the loss of life be it Iraqi, American, Palestinian or Jew. Did not America and Great Britain meddle in the middleeast after WWII when Palestine was divided? War, violence and bloodshed has shown throughout history that it doesn't work and only engenders more of the same.
Thanks for speaking your mind.

On March 24, 1989, the Exxon Valdez spilled 11,000,000 gallons of crude onto Alaska’s shores. Fifteen years later, the oil companies haven’t made their industry any safer. Now they want to exploit the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, Alaska’s last unspoiled frontier. They say they’ve changed their act. But we couldn’t trust them then ... Why should we trust them now?
Morgana, we shouldn't trust them --- they LIE...
I’m back... pitiful turnout... but this is S.C... Bushcountry...
About the shrub’s planting of ‘grassroots’ in Florida... dark or new moon is least preferable time for planting... it is, however, the BEST time for cultivation, pulling weeds, and destroying pests of all kinds, turning sod, etc. And the sun moved into Aries, a barren sign! Time for plowing and tilling. Good time to spread B.S. and work it in really good...! That's what he's good at... plants won't sprout tho'...

BLAIR TO CALL EARLY GENERAL ELECTION IN OCTOBER
Mar 20 2004
EXCLUSIVE: PM gears up for shock poll
By Oonagh Blackman, Deputy Political Editor
TONY BLAIR has warned Labour chiefs to be ready to fight a snap election this October.
MPs have been ordered to update campaign leaflets as soon as this summer's council and European elections are over. It was widely expected that the Prime Minister would go to the polls in spring 2005.
... Mr Blair could be damaged by November's US presidential elections or America's inquiry next spring into the case for war in Iraq.
----
Just two days ago the British papers were talking about the pressure Blair is getting from Labour Party... what a drag he will be as PM going into the elections in the spring 2005. They’ve been touting Chancellor Brown. Now this...
This board has so very savvy folks... my question: Is Blair really trying to move ahead of the US report coming on intelligence leading up to war to be released after the election, or does HE KNOW SOMETHING good (for him) will happen in late Sep or early Oct to make Brits forget his lying ways? Please follow the link and read article in its entirety and give your comments politically as well as astrologically. No date was mentioned in October.

News all over the net today about Clarke's 60 minutes interview. This is the best piece I've come across so far: http://www.billmon.org/
Tonight Sun March 21 at 7PM EST on CBS, 60 Minutes - Richard Clarke, Clinton's "anti-terror czar" will be talking about how Bush&Co were warned prior to 9/11, and about how Bush pushed for a link to Iraq after 9/11, although he was told there was none. Another "whack, whack," Morgana.

Justice Rehnquist Writes on Hayes vs. Tilden, With His Mind on Bush v. Gore
snip...
Much of the country was outraged. To avoid having his inauguration disrupted, Hayes, who was dubbed "Rutherfraud," was sworn in privately. Mr. Bradley was a particular target. The book has seven pages of, as his index entry puts it, "newspaper articles against." But Mr. Rehnquist argues, in reasoning he might apply to Bush v. Gore, that "the nation avoided serious disturbance or bloodshed and went on about its business."
There was a key difference, however, between Mr. Bradley's role and Mr. Rehnquist's. Mr. Bradley was appointed to the commission, a political body, by Congress, and it was understood his decision might end up being political. Mr. Rehnquist and his colleagues took the Florida case in their capacity as judges, with the implicit promise that they would make a legal determination.
In the eyes of their critics, however, that is just what they failed to do. The Bush v. Gore majority, made up of Mr. Rehnquist and his fellow conservatives, interpreted the equal protection clause in a sweeping way they had not before, and have not since. And they stated that the interpretation was "limited to the present circumstances," words that suggest a raw exercise of power, not legal analysis.
There is no shortage of books about the Hayes-Tilden race. Mr. Rehnquist's motive in writing about it, it seems clear, was not to expand the literature, but to engage the nearly 40 percent of Americans who still doubt the 2000 election's legitimacy. There is, however, a more constructive way to address the "opprobrium" Bush v. Gore has attracted.
Buried in that flawed decision is a bold vision of democracy. The court stopped the Florida recount because the procedures did not "satisfy the minimum requirement for nonarbitrary treatment of voters." Critics of the ruling charged that it created a "class of one," Mr. Bush, entitled to an extraordinary level of protection. The way for the court to prove them wrong is to start taking the right to vote more seriously, and to apply the standard in future election cases.
The court is about to decide a redistricting case that will have a major impact on American democracy. Pennsylvania voters are challenging the state's new Congressional lines, drawn to give its minority party two-thirds of the Congressional delegation. This sort of "partisan gerrymandering" is making contested Congressional races all but obsolete. If the court gives ordinary voters the same kind of vigorous protection it gave Mr. Bush, it will strike down Pennsylvania's undemocratic lines.
The court will no doubt hear other cases of electoral unfairness that could benefit from this approach. Poor and minority voters are still more likely to vote on machines that throw away a disproportionate number of valid votes. Local officials are still too free, as Katherine Harris proved in Florida in 2000, to purge eligible voters from the rolls.

Quid Pro Quack
That incandescent intellect, the Stephen Hawking of jurisprudence, has been kind enough to take time from his busy schedule to explain to us how the Republic really works.
Antonin Scalia has devoted 21 pages to illuminating the impertinence of those who suggest that it is wrong for a Supreme Court justice to take favors from a friend with a case before the court.
Res ipsa loquitur, baby. Why should the justice who put Dick Cheney in the White House stop helping him now? It's the logrolling, stupid!
"Many justices have reached this court precisely because they were friends of the incumbent president or other senior officials," the justice sniffs.
That elite old boy network can really help in those dicey moments when you need to stop the wrong sort, like Al Gore, from getting ahead.
You don't stop ingratiating yourself with your powerful friends and accepting "social courtesies" from them just because you get on the court. Ingratitude is a terrible vice.

Iraq: Blair and Bush seek new UN backing
Kamal Ahmed, political editor
Sunday March 21, 2004
The Observer
The United Nations is to be given a lead role in post-occupation Iraq under British and American plans to shore up crumbling international support for the continuing military presence in the country.
UK officials told The Observer there will be a sustained push for a fresh UN resolution 'mandating' the continued military presence in Iraq after the handover to the transitional government in June.
The move comes a week after the new Spanish Prime Minister, José Luís Rodriguez Zapatero, threatened to withdraw troops from the coalition force unless it was given a greater degree of international legitimacy. British officials said Republican claims from America that Spain had 'appeased' terrorists were unhelpful and wrong.

---------------------------------------
Question: Will UN involvement simply give Bush 'COVER' with Europe sending troops and money, and US still calling the shots, or will NATO take over? Even if US "turns over sovereignty to Iraqis" in June Bush will still keep troops there to 'protect the oilfields' --- so what has changed? Iraq is still occupied, right? Except now US is willing to split the pie (not simply the oil, but $$ rebuilding (a Pluto thing!)? With Europe... Remember, they can't start pumping the oil until there is a 'legal' gov't in Iraq... an entity to receive the checks! Ergo the reason to 'hurry up and give sovereignty to Iraqis' --- WHAT A SHAM ALL OF THIS IS!!!
I have spent the morning listening to the Sunday talk shows as well as reading the NY Times. Although I have not as yet seen the Bush attack ads in my region (Southeast Louisiana - New Orleans), I have seen clips and heard about Bush & Cheyney's recent speaches, and worry that the Republican "attack machine" will be effective in painting John Kerry as weak and indecisive. I don't believe he is, as there was an intellectual/moral context for his positions, but his record can be used to make him look that way. I am hoping with my whole heart that when he re-emerges this week after his vacation, he comes out SWINGING and puts forth a COHESIVE VISION that not only places his past record in a JUSTIFIABLE CONTEXT but, more importantly, offers a STRONG AND IMPRESSIVE PLAN for ROOTING OUT & DEFEATING TERRORISTS CELLS, PROTECTING THE U.S. FROM FURTHER ATTACK, and UNDOING THE DEFICITS!!! And, that he communicates this with GREAT POWER, AUTHORITY, and, yes, CHARISMA!
Do any of you astrological pundits see him with the ability to do this? It is ABSOLUTELY CRUCIAL.
On "Face the Nation" today, it was suggested that Kerry & Bush hold a joint-press conference with Kerry promising to fight terrorists intelligently no matter what it takes (Key Word: "intelligently") and Bush acknowledging Kerry's promise. Will this happen? No. Would it be a good thing? Yes. It would raise the political arena up a few notches spiritually and morally, and be good for Kerry.
Thanks for listening and for your input.
Sharon in NOLA
Jo, I just read of a 1.2 billion dollar interest payment coming due for the US in a few months. This makes the timing even more important I would think.
Sharon,
It will be difficult, nay --- impossible for Kerry to avoid the Repug "attack machine" --- Dubya was in Fl yesterday telling his minions that Kerry wants to raise taxes, that he's a 'serial tax raiser' --- never mind that Kerry wants to repeal the tax cuts for the rich --- never mind that Rove is using pyschology adroitly --- the insertion of the word 'serial' alerts the psyche to "rapist", "killer" --- and on and on it will go until November...
the American people have to change - democracy is a gov't of, by and for the people --- BUT the people have to be active participants! You can't get 15 mins of news on the TV at night and call yourself informed --- the LEADER cannot do it alone --- we have to get behind him, hey sometimes in FRONT of him...
maybe we need to call the Repugs on their lies more... call the local TV stations and the networks... threaten to boycott their sponsors' products... that's how we got rid of Dr. Laura... by boycotting her sponsors... maybe we need to communicate with Kerry more... He has a large staff - no matter how many e-mails he gets, somebody reads them... someone who is interested in keeping their job, someone who is interested in getting to the WH, someone who will listen to reasonable suggestions, someone who has the ear of the candidate... look how close we are thru the internet... how quickly we can get our message out... I was thinking last night about Morgana's question on Bush's "grassroots efforts" --- we could start sending our messages on the waxing Moon... start talking to our co-workers and friends on the waxing Moon... use our astrological savvy to win our POWER back... I guess the wondrous sight of all the protestors on the streets across the world got me fired up --- I know DARN well Dubya is mindful of the vast numbers of people who oppose his policies, even if he dismisses it... the PEOPLE sure displaced his 'opening of his campaign' yesterday to a 30 sec soundbite on the evening news! Blessed Be...
One light bulb on. Love you Jo! You got it!
Morgana - In looking at that Spring quinox chart some interesting things emerge. In late april, during the dangerous Mars Pluto opposition on US Mars, Pluto will have moved to its exact square to the Moon in the Equinox chart. This would yet again seem to imply that events impact US citizens in some way.
During the June Saturn conjunction to US Sun, we find the corresponding transits in the Equinox chart are as follows: Mars opposite Chiron and square MC, irritating what you call the "public flogging of the Chron MC square; and Saturn exactly square Equinox Mercury. Mercury is in 3and rules 6 and 9 - so we have issues of employment, foreign relations, and the press upset in some way.
I think we will see Kerry get very aggressive from 3/23 through 4/1 while Jupiter squares his Mars. The Jupiter station remains quite near his Mars through mid- June, but won't be super strong again til early June.
Dub is a serial liar. Worse yet, I don't think he can tell the difference between truth and fiction.
Nancy I'd call the whole thing flippin' combustible. Might also be that impact causes the citizen's to react in a specific way. The destructive power of Pluto and Mars instaneous reshaping ability gives me the wilies, however we've been living with it's influence for quite a while now.
Btw I believe Bush has had another embarassing day, his own party isn't supporting him in his lies. They keeping changing the topic.
Rumsfeld must be having a intense Saturn aspect. Tonight should prove to his undoing by Richard Clarke.
We're living in really wild times.
I am looking forward to that 60 Minutes interview. It will remind everyone of the Paul O'Neill interview a few months ago. Drip, drip, drip as the dripping erodes the credibility of the administration. Today is the last day of the Saturn station semisquare Bush's Venus. It will soon seem like people have major short term memory issues when they seem to forget what a prick and a liar he is due to some recent event. Something in June will then bring it all back yet again.
April 23 to 25 gives me the willies! In that New Moon chart, Mars will move to its MC and the Moon will be conjunct it as well on the 23rd. People should be very careful the afternoon of the 23rd. Mars/Moon is on the MC in DC when it opposes Pluto, and it triggers the New Moon chart with the same aspect. I haven't done the chart for NY but in DC it looks quite volatile. Thursday PM, April 23.
Here is the chart for New York (don't know how long it will last). It is just as bad. Note the Sun is moving to sesquiquadrate Pluto and semisquare US Mars (21Gemini23), and the Mercury station is moving to trine Pluto and sextile US Mars. This suggests several days of Pluto triggers while it waxes toward opposite natal US Mars. So I would expect some kind of event or events the afternoon of April 23rd, followed by the fear and upset of Pluto for several days. Or possibly, if these events take place in Baghdad or elsewhere, a series of nasty violent events. The thing that concerns me the most is the continuation of Pluto energy after the initial event, running through early May. If we accept the Sibley chart or close to it, we had Pluto still lingering waxing on the US Ascendant for 3 weeks after 9/11. That to me described the climate of intense fear and sense of threat to survival that followed the actual events. I hope we will not see terrorism or violent political action on domestic soil, but it is a possiblity under these planets.

Of course, rover-boy will have its slime machine in high gear. (Did anybody expect different?) That's good! The more it grossly stands out, the better the targeting. Gives Kerry et al a wonderful opportunity to slash & pound away!! & they have oodles with which to work. We'll see further out of what he's made. I'm not kidding!! ...from lemon to delicious summer/fall lemonade with a sprig of fresh mint. ;O)
Joanna, what lovely imagery!
Nancy,
Re your post above about the afternoon of April 23rd...
Some days ago I highlighted that date on my calendar and ephemeris due to concern for a family member... transiting Pluto that day will return to the exact degree it was on Feb 24 when this individual who is very dear to me had surgery and returned to the OR twice again, the third time at about midnight, when the family had to make a life/death decision... this person survived the ordeal but is fragile...
Looking back at the US chart for 9-11-2001 — transiting Mars at 1 degree Capricorn rules the US 4th House (where natal Chiron sits) and transiting Chiron (wounded warrior?) opposes or holds in check, the natal Mars (military) at 23 degrees Sag ... while the pluto/saturn conjunction sits on the natal ASC - this aspect is sometimes called the aspect of the magician because of the ability it gives to channel occult powers through structured systems... the power urge of Pluto combined with the power nature of the conjunction and the status urge of Saturn leads to strong ambitions in the areas ruled by Pluto — 12th house... it creates not an opposition but a YOD...
April 23, 2004 tPluto opposes US nMars which is conj tMars/tMoon 21 degrees exact... activating the military in 7th, house of foreign relations, business relationships ... in tight Tsq with N neptune in 9th house of foreign lands, religious affairs, etc., dumping off into 4th house of among other things, oil and the opposition party in gov’t... Tmercury is Rx 22/23 degrees Aries in trine w/ tPluto...
I went to your website and checked the wonderful timeline you are keeping... from Jan 16 thru Feb 23, 2004 when Pluto was D at 21 degrees Sag some of the worse bombings in Baghdad have occurred, resulting in deaths to both our troops and Iraqi citizens... again in April Pluto will return to that 'point' as tho' to say let me point this out to you again?
Having said that, I concur completely with you... we all need to be and to remain aware and protect ourselves as much as one can...
Anybody see this yet? >>> Tony Blair to call for early October election. <<<
Peg,
I posted above on Blair/October election and asked a question. Really would like your feedback on it --
Nancy,
In my post above, I made a Freudian slip... I meant to refer to Chiron as the 'wounded healer', not the 'wounded warrior'...
Namaste
Astrologers, did we all see CBS's 60Mins. with Dick Clarke? Is this the beginning of a story with legs?
There're lots of stories these days with legs... & the more legs, the merrier! As it's been posted: drip drip drp legs legs legs till there's a vast ocean of 'em... drowning all the two-bit tin-horn wanna-be napoleons & cowboys no matter into WHAT country they've got their claws...
yes, too darn bad the media is mostly owned by the right wing neo christian league.
Clarke was glorious. He said it so clearly: Bush has been abysmal in the war on terror. This is Bush's supposed strong suit, and he got slammed there tonight (Saturn exact semisquare Bush's Venus). I think this adds to the cumulative effect. That being said though, Jupiter arrives soon on Bush'sMars/prog Sun, so some other things will probably come that supercede this in the news come April, despite the background cumulative effect. This won't be the tipping point. June may bring us a real tipping point, but this will be part of the package.
Did anyone hear CSPAN's replay of Kerry's 1971 testimony tonight at 6:30. OMG!! He was just amazing. It was the most gripping testimony. I can't begin to describe it, but it was just overwhelming to me.
Yea... & a wiccan or crone worth her salt doesn't pay much attn to appearances; she pays attn to substance, tho, good things which she weaves out of the Web of Life. ;O)
"The clearest way into the Universe is through a forest wilderness." – John Muir (1838-1914)
“The future is inevitable and precise, but it may not occur. God/dess lurks in the gaps.” -Jorge Luis Borges
Nancy, regarding the CBS story not being the tipping point---uggh. I'll be patient.
And Kerry, he was awesome.
Nancy, I missed all of them. I have just been so distracted.
Jupiter will say for the People: "What does preciousssss have in itss nasty secret mars/p sun pocketsesss... we wants to seee what precioussss has gots!
As a psych major, as a crone, as a sometime still quiet Buddha mind, more often as an angry raging Grandma, to me Richard Clarke came across as a man of conviction, he believed every word he said... it clearly was HIS truth... on the other hand, Steven Hadley, w/ his flag prop, his nerdy glasses, his emotionless face... he came across as a spokesperson, one who knew his lines, was making his defense, and he much too often for my comfort level used the term "homeland"... I could close my eyes and I was another place, maybe another lifetime... Heil! but, hey, he slipped! Did you notice when Ms. Stahl lowered her 'one hammer' to the nail... "but we have two sources, outside Mr. Clarke, one of them a witness, who say that the President DID have the conversation with Mr. Clarke wherein he asked him to go BACK and see if there is a connection to Iraq and terrorism." Herr Hadley stammered,... and faltered... and fell flat... "but the President has met every day blah, lie, blah, lie, -----
Next up, Mr. Ed Bradley, tho' came thru for us... he allowed us a glimpse of the truth... that OBL is a front for the brain [much like our present situation in the WH!! imagine!] and that there has been evidence going back to the 50s that he was involved in Egypt, but NO MENTION OF IRAQ! Take that Mr. Rove!! We didn't all fall off a da** turnip truck.
Now I have to go figure out the song Joanna is singing! sometimes I'm downright dense!
Blessed be, Joanna... I know there's a gem of wisdom there, I'm just not savvy e/nuf to get it!
Janet, you must be a young person... some in America won't wake up quickly to info on Dubya... think of it this way... it's a little like being a child and discovering your Dad's a good for nothing who lies and lies, and spends the rent money on his high-flying friends... won't get a job and support the family... but, darn it all, he's your Dad... you'll need to grow up, get a few years on you, to be able to handle that kind of info --- Saturn demands patience... check out Joanna's post above about the lemonade...
Namaste
Jo, bless you. Not so young in numbers, but, perhaps, young in spirit, and still need to learn patient.
Unfortunately, you're correct about many not waking up to Bush in time. Perhaps too, many are not asleep, just severely delusional, lacking critical thinking.
Jo, I also need to learn how to spell the word patience. Oops.
Jo, I don't think it is a song, but characters that strongly resemble real life from the Lord of the Rings. Remember the ring was call precious. There is too much of a similarity.
Namasta, I am so happy your heard the constant creep referral to "homeland" it reminded me of Hitler's "fatherland." If they were 'type' casting, I would have suggested someone other than Mr. Hadley.
Hey all,
I just hope that enough people saw 60 Minutes for Mr. Clark's honesty to really have any effect! What are their ratings like? Anyone have any idea?
Basically, there is a segment of the population that will never trust anything anyone on the Bush team says. And another segment of the population that will believe anything they say. It's that fairly substantial portion of the populace who aren't necessarily partisan or don't really follow politics (gotta feed the kids, go to school, work 8 to 7 and then go home and make dinner) who might be more open to the constant drip, drip, drip of info about who these Bushies really are. And, if what Nancy, Morgana, Sally et al. say is true, this "middle portion" of the population will be getting an ear/eyeful come Election Time when it REALLY matters. And their pocketbooks STILL aren't chock full of Bush's "tax cut" money.
So, don't let Bush's rejuvenated poll numbers April-May get you down. They'll soon plummet and Kerry and the Dems will be there to pounce and start shoveling the dirt on Bush's metaphorical political grave.
Jonathan
Pat,
Thank you-- My son-in-law is a great Lord of the Rings fan -- I still have not read the books or seen the movie(s) --- somehow I missed it! I have The Return of the King on my desk, my grandson left it last time he was here... I need to lighten up! I'll check it out --- I did read the "Mists of Avalon" if that counts for anything! No, I didn't know the ring was called precious. See what you've done Joanna! I'll be up 'til the late hours --- nope, won't work... it's a trilogy and I have only the third book here... you know us, Geminis - got to 'figure things out' --- my Sag friends are always telling me to grow up, let it 'be' --- see Janet, we all have our lessons! Blessed be.
Jo, I read Mists several years ago, and loved it. Those were sweeter days. Sigh.
If you do read of see the trilogy, there is no doubt in my mind that you will see tremendous parallels to the battle between forces going on right now.
That Saturn semisquare to Bush's Venus goes through Tuesday. I made a mistake above and said it was exact today. Two more days means there will be some fallout from Clarke and that the hearing with Clarke on Tuesday will plague Der Fuhrer.
Nancy,
THANK YOU... do you know when Clinton et al are supposed to testify before 911 Comm? Any publicity on that will only affirm Clarke's testimony and his book... right? That drip, drip will start to drive Rove crazy...
Another new late breaking element on the 11 PM local NBC, (Bangor, ME news) .
A Pakistani has reported that the Al Q already HAS nuclear weopons!!!!! Great timing following on the heels of the Clarke interview. Also the possibility of capturing Osama's "brain" is fading..............
I've noticed just this weekend that the media seems to have taken about a 30o tilt further to the right. C-span was very uninspiring all weekend....David Brooks the guest this morning. Call-ins all seemed to be old men supporters of Bush!
I was shopping in Walmart yesterday Goddess forgive me........& they kept broadcasting over the B B loud speaker to watch Peter Jennings on ABC News!!!!! Guess they're in bed together now, the Spy Kids will start shopping in Walmart in their movies......Walmart will sell more Disney generated toys............
Could it be that the Trans. Uranus in the 3rd. is in Pices ( neptune) and applying to a square to the US Uranus 8o Gemini,
menaing deception in communication? Did you all hear that after we all called in to protest the expansion of media ownership, in June sometime this late fall, several Repugs sneaked around in the dark of night and added a paragraph that put back the ability for companies to buy up more media outlets, just before the bill came up for a vote. I'm not sure if it was voted through......... they keep us so busy blocking their evil initiatives, sometimes I lose track!
But C-span is broadcasting the 9/11 investigation all day Tues. I'm looking forward to that.

United States wants international ruling kept secret
Posted: March 19, 2004 - 10:49am EST
by: Brenda Norrell / Southwest Staff Reporter / Indian Country Today
PHOENIX - The United States is attempting to keep secret an
international ruling that affects American Indians and property rights.
The ruling, in the case of the Western Shoshone, calls for a review of
all U.S. law and policy regarding indigenous peoples and in particular
the right to property.
On Indigenous Peoples Day, Western Shoshone Carrie Dann said, "The U.S.
was found to be in violation of international law - found to be
violating our rights to property, to due process and to equality under
the law.
"They have been told to remedy this situation and to review all law and
policy relating to indigenous peoples in the United States."
The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, Organization of American
States issued its final report in the case of Dann v. U.S. It is the
first judicial review of the United States law and policy regarding
indigenous peoples within its borders.
Julie Fishel, attorney for the Western Shoshone Defense Project, said
the United States does not want American Indians to learn about the
ruling.
"They are nervous about this," Fishel said.
The OAS ruling focuses on the Dann's right to their ancestral land and
the violation of their human rights. In her statement on March 11, Dann
said the U.S. is violating the 1863 Treaty of Ruby Valley.
"They tell us our lands are federal lands," Dann said, speaking of the
ranch where her family has lived for generations in Crescent Valley.
Western Shoshone have lived on the land, now called Nevada, for more
than 4,000 years. However, Western Shoshone land is being seized for
open pit cyanide leach gold mining and the Nuclear Waste Repository at
Yucca Mountain, a mountain that Shoshone hold sacred.
Dann said, "At the Nevada Test Site, the current administration wants to
reopen nuclear testing and are conducting biological and chemical
testing and development at the new Federal Counterterrorism Facility."
"As we see it, these activities are done only for the benefit of the
multinational corporations, not for the benefit of the people. On our
lands alone, companies such as Placer Dome, Newmont, Barrick,
Halliburton, Bechtel and Lockheed Martin are poisoning our air and water
and ripping apart our Mother Earth."
Hundreds of the family's livestock have been seized by the Department of
Interior under military-style attacks.
"We are placed under constant surveillance by armed federal rangers and
helicopter flyovers. We remain on the land of our ancestors.
"The U.S. Congress and the corporations are waving money and other deals
under the noses of our people." Dann said it is the responsibility of
the people to preserve life for the future generations.
Carrie and her sister Mary have fought the United States all the way to
the Supreme Court. After 10 years of legal proceedings, the Organization
of American States ruled in favor of the Western Shoshone.
The OAS report came on Jan. 9, 2003, 10 years after sisters Mary and
Carrie Dann filed a petition for redress. During the proceedings,
several other Western Shoshone communities joined the petition in amicus
curiae briefings. The Western Shoshone Nation Council, the traditional
governing body, filed a supporting brief.
The case states that the U.S. argued to the Indian Claims Commission
that Western Shoshone had lost their land due to "gradual encroachment"
of whites, settlers and others. The Western Shoshone argued that the
U.S. claim was in violation of its own laws and international human
rights laws to which the U.S. is bound as a member of the OAS.
The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights agreed with the Western
Shoshone. The final report found the United States in violation of the
right to property, right to due process and right to equality under the
law.
The final report issued two recommendations to the United States. The
first was to remedy the situation of the Western Shoshone, either
legislatively or by providing a hearing on the issue of title.
The OAS also recommended that all U.S. law and policy regarding
indigenous peoples, in particular the right to property, be reviewed.
Dann said, "We will never give up our resistance. We cannot. It is not
for us but for those yet to come."
Seated on the grass at the Nahuacalli, the Indigenous Embassy and
community center of Tonatierra, Carrie Dann was asked what she wanted
most.
"Liberation," Dann said.
"I've been waiting all my life to be liberated from the federal
government."
Recalling President Bush's words, she said, "Bush said, 'We are not the
conquerors, we are the liberators.'
"I'm still waiting for the day when the indigenous will be liberated
from the control of the United States government."
Tragic and he is right, to be liberated from the American Govt. we've kept the American Indian down for so long we think it's democracy
Part of the Shoshone territory is Yucca Mtn. I'm impressed with their tenacity. One more issue against Bush.
Those Stupid White Men AGAIN! Da**, they just never learn do they!
I agree with you .
