I awakened this morning enraged. Enraged over Aristide, gay marriage and changing the Constitution to include bigotry, over the bombing in Iraq, over Greenspan's remarks about Social Security. Where are the activitists from the 60's? The Baby Boomers nie Hippies, had to pay a ton into payroll taxes in order for Social Security to survive when they arrived at the gates of retirement and now they are poised to gut the program completely. You aren't alone, there are so many of us out there. I have the same kind of neighbors. The chickenhawks who scream at you about patriotism. The sort of people who attach a flag to their SUV and consider it a contribution to the War On Terror. The people who claim, with a straight face, that Dubya deserved that Nobel Peace Prize nomination because he "liberated" Iraq. Don't be too afraid of them, they deserve your pity. Imagine how shocked they'll be when they're finally forced to face the truth.

The Repugs want us to feel marginalized, they want us to be scared, our fear empowers them. The ditto-heads don't have any rational arguments so they resort to violence and scare tactics. They buy radio stations, television networks, and newspapers, to spout their propaganda, labeling all who oppose them "cowards," "losers," "traitors," and "radicals." They have no choice, they could never gain control honestly. They wouldn't have to throw mud and steal elections if the majority agreed with them, and they know it.

Don't lose hope, their misdeeds will catch up with them eventually. No one motivated by greed and paranoia can hold on to anything for too long.

Colin Powell said no that wasn't going to happen and Philippe pretty much told him "tough, we are in control and you will have to kill us." What a really great job they are doing in Haiti. The US armed and supported these guys and now they cannot get them out.

Well, here I am - voting my conscience, standing for peace and justice with Women in Black, writing to my representatives, and sharing all I can about the lies we face every day with the students I work with. I, too, wake up angry when I see what this administration (and others - this is just the most egregious of them) do to the rest of the world to hold onto their utterly obscene amounts of money and "power". Little do they realize that the real power exists in our hearts and souls - how could they, when they have neither? The last time I was in Washington DC was early 80s on a Peace March with my young daughter. We'd not traveled from the West Coast as some others had, merely caught the last week, walking several days into the capital. There were no concrete barriers then. Sisters from a nearby convent came to give the marchers foot massages... and even though it was winter, there was a very festive mood.. some friends and I walked into a side street where a homeless woman sat regally on one of those open grates with warm air rising from underground, her beautiful black hair flowing behind her. She looked at us and asked "why are you here?" and we replied we had been marching. She asked "what for" and we answered "peace". She spoke in a zen-like manner... "What is peace... and did you find it?" We were speechless.

He does tick off 'Iraqi exile groups' as a possibility --- there's something between the lines... maybe a reference to Chalabi and the neo-cons? anyway, you're right that the Iraqi people think it was the Americans. Ambassador's book to reveal who he thinks leaked wife's CIA identity, publisher says

A federal grand jury has heard testimony from at least four White House officials in its investigation to identify the leaker of Valerie Plame's name to syndicated columnist Robert Novak, who published the name in his syndicated column last July. Numerous other officials have been interviewed by the FBI.

Spokeswoman Karen Auerbach of the Avalon Publishing Group in New York said she did not know the identity of the purported leaker.

Novak said in his July 14 column that his sources were two unidentified senior administration officials. Novak has not commented about the matter during the grand jury investigation.

Wilson's book, "The Politics of Truth," is scheduled to come out May 20.

David Kay, former chief U.S. weapons inspector, tells the Guardian of London the Bush administration should "come clean with the American people" and admit it was wrong about the existence of WMDs in Iraq.

"In an interview with the Guardian, Mr. Kay said the administration's reluctance to make that admission was delaying essential reforms of US intelligence agencies, and further undermining its credibility at home and abroad. He welcomed the creation of a bipartisan commission to investigate prewar intelligence on Iraq, and said the wide-ranging US investigation was much more likely to get to the truth than the Butler inquiry in Britain. That, he noted, had 'so many limitations it's going to be almost impossible' to come to meaningful conclusions."

The talk that didn't happen
The Washington Post runs an account of a rare "deep background" conversation the president had with five network reporters who agreed they wouldn't quote him directly. "Word of the meeting got around before it was over. Several people provided accounts of it to The Washington Post but spoke only on the condition of anonymity because, in the view of the White House and by the agreement of the networks, the conversation never officially occurred."

What did Bush tell the reporters? "The Oval Office session was designed to show Bush as eager to campaign and fight back against Kerry, and to portray the president as engaged in the issues of the day. The meeting was supposed to run just half an hour, and Bush seemed to enjoy showing that he could handle whatever topics were fired at him, according to the accounts."

But, the Post says, the conversation may have been intended more to get Bush friendly again with a press corps accustomed to being shut out by the White House. "Aides hoped to recapture some of the camaraderie of his campaign plane early in the 2000 race, when he engaged reporters with long, off-the-record chats," the paper says.

To understand Iraqi, you have to understand the religious factions.

The Shites are the conservation group, mostly in the south and are aleigned with Iran religiously.
They are the ones who keep their women in Bukas and won't let them go to school, etc. They are 60% of the population. They are the closest to the Taliban or AL Quaida. So it would not be an Al Quaida follower who would be attacting them. That idea is just propaganda of the US and some of the leaders of Iraqi.

The Sunnis are the liberal faction and allowed the women almost the freedom of western women. They are in central Iraq and Sadam is part of that faction.

I know less about the Turks in the north. But the only known Al Quaida was in this northern territory that was not in Sadam's control.

Remember the fly overs, that was to protect the south (Shites) and north (Turks) from Sadam's control.

So a democracy with the Shites in the majority means not democracy but a gov. under religious control like Iran and puts women back in Burka's and out of school.

I doubt the US did the bombing, but you never know. I don't see a real benifit. But the Isrelies are the best prospect. They always benifit when there is internal trouble in one of the mid east countries. The Sunnies are also a good prospect.

But Al Quaida would not be helping their enemy the Sunnies and attacting their friends the Shites. So who the US is blaming is not logical.

Ben Lauden is actually a Wallie (sp) which is an ultra conservative branch of Sunnie. But he is dead set against the Sunnies except for the Wallie faction. It is closer in philosophy to the Shites than the Sunnies. In fact Ben Lauden big hate is for the liberal Sunnies. He would not have a follower helping them against the Shites.

Not only are both Bush and Kerry Skull and Bones but are related back 10 generations.

Little known fact about the presidents is that almost all of them are related. Carter and maybe Clinton are the exceptions and maybe one other. Clinton is thought by some to really be fathered by someone different than his mother's husband who is supposed to be his biological father and this person was in the bloodline of the Us presidents.

This relationship goes back to at least British Royalty, but may go all the way back to the group of French Kings just after Jesus death. Some think this bloodline is really what the Holy Grail really is and goes back to Soloman. And the bloodline was either carried from Jesus to the present day by either Jesus's uncle or Mary Madiline who may have fled to southern France.

Now it makes no differance if it is true or not. What can be a factor is if the "powers that be" believe it and make sure most of the time, one of the bloodline is the leader of most of the large countries. Queen Elizabeth is realated to Bush and therefore to Kerry. What if this is why the American people have been manipulated into voting for starting with George Washington.

There is a place on the web that traces back the presidents geneology. I went dizzy for a week tracing them back. And they do all track back to English/Scottish royalty. With the few exceptions. Of course Carter can be explained by Nixon resigning and throwing a monkey wrench into their plans. Speaking of Nixon, I have read that he resigned because he might be questioned about JFK's assination and that would have lead by to daddy Bush, et al.

And by the way before you ask. There are conspiracy theories, because there are conspiracies that have not been legally proven.

I do think most of us who write on this site use the fixed stars (Algol is at 24 Taurus) and asteroids, and the black holes, and the midpoints but space prevents us from listing all the million of aspects that go into the article and opinions. I will say that GWB's Sun (and US Sun) sits on the fixed stars Dziban (the great robber) Sirus (the bright great radiating one,) and Canopus (problems with the father and authority figures and a difficult end of life) So far all those aspects fit GWB.

Because the fixed stars cast no rays Ptolemy and Addy say only the Conjunction of a fixed star to a planet is accurate and maybe in rare cases the opposition. But not squares, trines or sextiles. GWB actually has some very powerful fixed stars in his chart, plus two eclipses just days before his birth indicating a life of destiny and unfortunately for the US his destiny is completely tied to us or us to him. That's why it has been near impossible to get rid of this man who is so corrupt and even treasonous. Something about the collective US mind that says "he's the one who is supposed to be here at this point in time and that makes me sick.

The Wild Weapons of DARPA

When, in October 1957, the USSR launched the first man-made earth satellite, the basketball-sized Sputnik, it caught the United States off guard and sent the government into fits. Not only had the Soviets exploded an atomic bomb years before the Americans predicted they would, but now they were leading the "space race." In response, the Defense Department approved funding for a new U.S. satellite project, headed by former Nazi SS officer Wernher von Braun, and created, in 1958, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) to make certain that the United States forever after maintained "a lead in applying state-of-the-art technology for military capabilities and to prevent technological surprise from her adversaries."

Almost half a century later, what's left of the USSR is a collapsed group of half-failed states, while the U.S. stands alone as the globe's sole hyperpower. Yet DARPA, the agency for an arms-race world, seems only to be warming up to the chase. There may be no country left to take the lead from us, the nearest military competitor being China which reportedly had $65 billion in military expenditures in 2002 (compared to our $466 billion according to GlobalSecurity.org) and which, only in 2003, put its first "Taikonaut" into outer space. Undaunted, DARPA continues to develop high-tech weapons systems for 2025-2050 and beyond – some of them standard fare like your run-of-the-mill. hypersonic bombers, others more exotic.

In an August 2003 article, Los Angeles Times reporter Charles Pillar noted that DARPA has put forth some of the "most boneheaded ideas ever to spring from the government" -- including a "mechanical elephant" that never made it into the jungles of Vietnam and telepathy research that never quite afforded the U.S. the ability to engage in psychic spying.

As former DARPA Director Charles Herzfeld noted in 1975, "When we fail, we fail big." Little has changed. According to DARPA's current chief, some 85%-90% of its projects fail to meet their full objectives. Still, Piller points out, DARPA "has been behind some of the world's most revolutionary inventions" – "the Internet, the global positioning system, stealth technology and the computer mouse."

DARPA's spectacular failure rate and noteworthy successes stem from its high risk ventures. For years DARPA has funded extremely unconventional, sometimes beyond-the-pale, avant-garde research in all realms of science and technology. It is, perhaps, the most creative place in our vast government for a scientist who wants to stretch his or her mind in adventurous directions and be well paid to do so. If you have a wild idea, DARPA's the place to try it out. Said Harvard University pathologist Donald Ingber in a 2001 Los Angeles Times article, "DARPA [has] funded things that a lot of people thought were ridiculous, and some that people thought were impossible. They make things happen."

I think it's clear that the media as well will accentuate the problems of Democrats....like the Dean special on "What Went Wrong"....while problems of the Republicans will be whitewashed, or ignored. AP poll finds Bush and Kerry tied, Nader at 6 percent

WASHINGTON (AP) -- In the first poll since John Kerry locked up the Democratic nomination, Kerry and President Bush are tied while independent Ralph Nader has captured enough support to affect the outcome, validating Democrats' fears.

The Republican incumbent had the backing of 46 percent, Kerry 45 percent and Nader, the 2000 Green Party candidate who entered the race last month, was at 6 percent in the survey conducted for The Associated Press by Ipsos-Public Affairs.

I'm afraid that poll is a little too close for comfort. The "likeability" thing is a big deal in the United States of Moronica. Kerry just doesn't have it, even when he keeps his mouth shut.
Somebody on another political blog said Kerry is Al Gore without all the charisma and pizzaz. And I like Gore a lot, but it's painfully true.

I suspect that the American people, if the Dems do their job right and remind everyone just how crappy a job Junior has done these past 4 years, will respond to an Authority Figure in the White House instead of 4 more years of Chimp screwing up and falling back on the War on Terror to drive his "numbers" up.

I read an interesting article very recently that said if Kerry wins all the States that Gore won that Bush would only have to lose ONE of the States that he "won" to lose the Election. So, the Dems could take New Hampshire (and all the States that Gore took in 2000) and we'd have the White House back. Sounds pretty do-able to me! I can't imagine those States, facing job losses, failing public schools suffering under No Child Left Behind, outsourcing of manufacturing work, military families feeling nervous and upset, counties and cities awash in red ink, switching from their Democratic choice in 2000 to the Republican that's made everything much worse.

Just my two cents.

Personally, when I look at Kerry, I see a smart, sensible, mature man. I take comfort in those qualities. And maybe it's just me, but I like Kerry, as do many of the independents I have talked with.

I think the campaigns will fire up sooner rather than later, with bush already serving up salvos showing Kerry's inconsistencies in voting for most of the programs bush is now being attacked for (tax-cuts, no child left behind, Iraq war etc). I think the repigs can make this a problem for Kerry.

Anyone in the Senate is bound to have differences in his voting record. Times change and accordingly so do the needs behind the votes. I'm still waiting for someone to use the record of George W Bush as Gorernor of Texas. He brought that State to the second lowest quality in everything among the fifty. Now that's a record to make public. His record is steady....all bad.

Ashcroft hospitalized with pancreatitis

Attorney General John Ashcroft has been hospitalized in an intensive care unit for a severe case of gallstone pancreatitis, his chief spokesman said Friday.

Ashcroft, a 61-year-old former Missouri senator who has been free of health problems, canceled an appearance Thursday afternoon at which he was to have announced verdicts in a terrorism case.

Justice Department spokesman Mark Corallo said the attorney general initially believed he had a stomach flu.

"He went home and when the condition worsened, he was visited by White House physician Daniel Parks, who advised that he go to the emergency room,'' Corallo said.

He said Ashcroft was taken Thursday night to the George Washington University Hospital for evaluation.

"After a full medical work up in the emergency room, it was determined that he was suffering from a severe case of gallstone pancreatitis,'' Corallo said. ``He was admitted to intensive care for careful monitoring and is being treated with antibiotics.''

Corallo said he expects Ashcroft will spend a couple of days in the hospital.

Pancreatitis is an inflammation of the pancreas usually caused by excessive alcohol use or, as in Ashcroft's case, a gallstone that blocks the passage leading from the pancreas to the beginning of the small intestine. It also may be caused by infection, injury or certain medications.

Symptoms include sudden, severe abdominal pain, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting and fever.

I always knew that Roves had finally found the "Moron of his Dreams". This is the most sexually repressed assemblage of "manipulative fear provoking hate mongers” since Hitler’s crowd. When you find this much hate and need for control and damming of others it’s just a fear-wall, emotionally built to hold back an ocean full of repression of your own fearfulness and self-disgust. But unlike people like yourself, who have a well-thought out reaction to Kerry, I fear, similiar to what happen with Gore, when the comedians and the the corporate media whores kept repeating that Gore was stiff, the image hardened in the minds of the public and became a self-fulling prophecy, i.e. if we look at Gore during the '92 campaign and during his debate with Perot, none of the stiffness was evident.

I guess those comedians who like to tear down Democratic candidates might want to think really hard about how much they really like living in a "democracy". They can do a lot of damage to whoever they target. It would have been a lot more fun to poke at the sitting President in a strong economy and a world in general peace. Maybe this time Bush will make a better target on late night TV.

Martha Stewart found guilty on all four charges.

This morning on one of the a.m. News shows they had a demonstration on how easily those voting machines can be tampered with. The woman doing the demonstration (sorry, missed her name) said she pulled the program right off the internet under "how to fix an election" - said easy enough for a high school student to do this! They loaded in the program and the votes were changed automatically with NO record of it being done. It was pretty scarey stuff - and really made the case for the need for paper trails from these machines! Could not believe how easily anybody could just go and fix these machines to recalculate figures to their advantage ... almost shows how this election is going to be rigged.

Gawk ... Martha should have taken the stand in her own defense! Huge mistake on her part! I hope she can appeal this decision!

Martha's conviction makes me think of Saturn in Cancer (the homemaker). And the fact that Saturn is stationing at 6 Cancer. I bet she has a personal planet at that point. Does anyone know?

Kenny defrauded thousands of their life savings forcing them to buy the same stock he was unloading. Martha sold her own stock and that's all. Who gets punished?

Martha was a strong supporter of Bill Clinton, huge Democratic donater, and a close friend of Hillary Clinton. I'm sure this sends the big chill as it was intended to do.

So it would appear the only tangible thing they could get bill or martha on was obstruction of justice - the coverup was greater than the crime. The same for for Nixon. I didn't realize that Martha was a dem supporter - but it certainly explains away the question as to why they were going after her so vociferously and not the more aggregious cases. I wonder how this may play in the future against all the the Bush/cheney lies?

Martha did not steal the retirement of hundreds of employees. I am not condoning her actions, but why isn't Kenny boy in jail? Makes one wonder for sure. Actually, I like Martha and have learned a lot from the programming she puts on. However, I don't condone anyone "cheating," but I certainly hope she doesn't have to spend time in jail.

Republicans asks TV stations to pull ads by liberal group

The Republican National Committee on Friday asked about 250 television stations to pull a liberal group's ads critical of President Bush.

The RNC sent the stations a letter Friday suggesting the outlets may be complicit in breaking campaign finance laws if they air the MoveOn.org Voter Fund ads. It asked them to decline to broadcast the ads.

The RNC argues that the group, financed by so-called "soft money," is spending it on ads to influence a federal election. The campaign finance law broadly bars the use of such corporate, union and unlimited donations to influence federal elections.

MoveOn began airing ads Thursday critical of Bush's policies. MoveOn founder Wes Boyd said the ads are legal, and added that the group isn't concerned by the RNC's letter. The ads were financed with unlimited donations from individuals -- one form of soft money.

The ads were originally to air in 17 presidential battleground states over five days at a cost of $1.9 million. Boyd said the group decided Friday to spend $1 million more to run an ad criticizing Bush's economic policies for an additional week in several states.

It will take more than 1 extra state more than Gore won to win the election. What you read did not take into account the new figures after the cesus. There was a big change in the number of delegates to the electorial college.

UNfortunately most of the states that lost deligates were democrates and those that gained where republican. I had the exact figures but can't find them.

The RNC has a lot of gonads asking for ads to be pulling...........again. It's frightening how some people accept it unquestioning. Once again, Pat, Thank you for posting the info. It' still early so I'm in the process of learning about Kerry and his record. The rap against him from left and right is that he flip flops depending on which way the political winds are blowing. The reason I find that a confusing accusation is that he has been rated one of the most liberal senators -yes even surpassing Ted Kennedy. The rating, I think, comes from examining his many years in the Senate and his thousands of votes. It seems to speak of a strong consistency overall in promoting a liberal agenda.I would think if he's as soulless as people make him out to be he wouldn't end up so solidly in the liberal column but would instead would have a patchwork quilt record which would define him as having no real committment to any political philosophy.
I'm still in the process of learning about him as I said but so far I like him and didn't hold my nose at all when I voted for him on Tuesday.

Hi, As stated before, to my personal belief evil=ego. What we see in these faces are the self-sabotaging mental mantras they hold in the physical body. It has bloated their faces and distorted the softness that is usually in the skin and eyes. Holding this energy brings disease. Cheney's mouth in that never ending grrrrr says to me he is one angry dude. (Slimy like a snake, yes). But I give snakes and serpents a GOOD rap since they are goddess symbols.
Unfotunately, these mental mantras (mine is 'I'm sorry' instead of 'exuse me' and I have really been watching my mind take me to the beggar place and catching this 'really sorry' mantra) are being played out on the world stage.
The People is the real remedy for change. The American public voice has faded through addiction to gagets and lots of noise. How can they hear the old mental mantras that keep them in the beggar place when there's too much 'fun' to be had with all their things to shut them up, and shut them down.
I hope the angels will help the People to wake up, put the things down and take charge of their own lives, and generations to come.

Bahkti, I have always been a rather right brained logical thinking person but I've been having these same thoughts - starting about 6 months ago seeing Pat Robertson while channel surfing - his face seemed to morph into what I can only liken to what I imagine to be the devil incarnate - it was quite frightening and sickening. Thats what really got me started with investigating things behind the scenes and led me to resonate with this website and others.

Everyone, I have to share a strong thought/vision that came during meditation this morning. The anger and dark thoughts of fear and hate by so many are being sucked into washington govt enclaves and expanding that energy. Enlightened souls the globe over must begin immediately to shine their strong beams of light, like flashlights eminating from their 3rd eye, to shine the light of truth laser-like onto all in that area; sort of like large floodlights coming in from all directions lighting up all the hidden and dark places that people have not been able to see and leaving nowhere for those that love the dark to hide. The effect was those that were in harmony absorbed the light and it gave them added strength to do what they were trying to do; those that did not want the light went into a peculiar kind of spasm and after a while they all sort of self destructed and vaporized simulaneously with a sort of bright light explosion.
Perhaps the message is that while we need to be aware of dark deeds, we must all make a conscious effort to periodically visualize light streaming into washington so that all the darkness is exposed and overcome. I think while it is important to inform ourselves on what is really going on behind the scenes, we must not stay stuck in the "ain't it awful" mantra which can be quicksands of the mind and perpetuate the dark energy. Maybe others are already doing this and I got the message from them through the ether to join in.

Jeanie, I just read your comment, and want to thank you also for posting it. I started a relationship with a navy man before the war and didn't know how it was going to affect him. Before he left last Feb., he was sweet, open vulnerable. He returned, and was stationed in Maryland, by D.C. in January, and has become someone totally different. He even looks different. I thought it might be from war experiences, but now I believe your scenario fits better. I understand there is truly nothing I can do about it, except pray for him, and send my hopes into the heavens that his free will will somehow allow him to break from the darkness you described. Please, everyone, this is a very real phenomenon, I have SEEN it first hand. We need to help these people who have become unconsciously gripped by all the hatred. I am crying now but want to say thank you so much, with all my heart.

Also, thinking about what Corleonis said about "sending it back"--a few years ago a group of fundamentalists were praying for my death (it's a long story) and just to be on the safe side I put mirrors facing out in all my windows. Worked a treat! Everytime I saw one of them he or she would say, "You're getting sick, Barbara, you're dying," and then they would cough and wheeze. I didn't even have a cold for the four or five years this went on.

The Serpent/Life Force, or Kundalini, is what the "Special Elite Low Priests" have been busily blocking & twisting in the collective peoples for the past 4500 years... for sick pleasure & for material gain/power. Spiritually healthy & "unblocked" people can't be used for war; only sickened ones. I think that's one of the lore taught in the skull n' bones... how to control the Serpent power of the "Other."

What if it were Time for the Great Collective Illumination... bringing the Serpent (scorpio) Force up the spine & into the Skull (to put it simply). What if this amazing event has already been initiated & catches Fire, snowballing, exponentially rippling into all beings. What if we are open to it & the disaster we await turns into an incredible mind-boggling blessing... a quantum leap from "human becoming" into "human being." Serpent Power, the double-edge sword.

All this would, of course, make all the steamy mechinations of politicians, power-brokers & Wash DC a moot point & to be pitied, but certainly not "Savior" figures.

Peg, just read your last post. While I'm working on this third eye thing will be sending you thoughts of strength, love, serenity. My husband (a sensitive Cancer) was a combat veteran. It marked the rest of his life, but yet we were able to know some joy and happy times.

Peg, sorry to hear of your friend's change in personality. Indoctrination of attitude can take many forms - cults can take many guises. I recently learned that they've discovered vikings would rountinely eat something (I think it was a sort of mushroom), that brought out agressive characteristics before they went into battle. Some people are puzzled by an increased number of suicides and violence within returning ranks - a passing random thought - so many other strange things have gone on, makes me wonder if anything was in their food / innoculations?

Jeanie, many many of us have been seeing these 'visage' changes since the Clinton impeachment days. From every spirituality the 'sensitives' have been horrified by what we/they are seeing. Barbara, your comment about the mirrors hit home. A few years ago I was having major problems also with a family member who was effecting me so much that I was convinced their horrid negativity and wishes for my unhappiness were having the effect they hoped for. A dear friend who was into meditation suggested that I also do the mirror thing, both mentally and physically. I put mirrors in my bedroom windows as well as visually doing a meditation every day where I used mental mirrors to reflect their negativity back to them. Amazingly it worked like a charm - I got my peace of mind back and they almost shriveled away from their own negative stuff being bounced back to them! They soon left me alone in peace! I think the mirror thing has something to it for sure! Thanks for posting that - and glad it worked for you as well!

I too, have been under psychic attack from a woman who had a national reputation working in a psychic research program at Washington University in St Louis.
She was resentful of the time I spent with a 20 year friend and who she had been using to leverage her dying psychic ability off of.
