Vedic Inauguration Chart for George W. Bush

Way back when, decades ago by now, legendary comic and social observer, Lenny Bruce, once drolly remarked that he felt he could never run for public office because, as a child, he has once jerked off the family dog. He just KNEW that his political opponents probably had damaging pictures of the unsavory event ready to plaster in every major newspaper all across the country, thus guaranteeing his defeat. Considering the current climate of vice, transgression and infrigement directly linked to the Bush Administration, Bruce's confession seems almost sweetly naive and innocent.
In the OP article dated January 29, 2002, I first mentioned the relationship of the Saturn Return cycle to Watergate, and the Enron debacle, the scandal-of-the-month, at that time. In the interim since that article, there seems to be a whole truckload of other offenses that have cropped up. An embarrassment of riches, so to speak....take your pick! I can't resist pointing out, pixie that I am, that both Watergate and Spygate involve Plumbers and Leaks. ;)
Astrologically the Twelfth House is the realm of scandals, enemies and what the books like to call "self undoing". Which does not mean the ability to unhook all your buttons and get yourself undressed without assistance. But that overly confident, cocky, puffed-up sense one gets just before the whole world caves in on them, usually because they got too full of themselves and didn't think they would get caught. In the Bush Inauguration chart, also using Vedic, Pisces is on the 12th cusp; a home placement in the natural zodiac. Showing some very strong indications of the eventual self-undoing of this administration.
Twelfth House ruler, Jupiter, is in the Inauguration Chart Second, conjunct Saturn. Remember there is this same dynamic in Bush's own natal chart; Jupiter is damaged by Saturn. Meaning, sooner or later, it catches up with him and there will be a heavy (Saturn) price to pay. Jupiter also rules the Inauguration Ninth, of law and justice.
Jupiter enhances the Inauguration Moon, in the Eighth, giving it some beneficial enforcement. Moon, denoting the public, and ruling the homeland Fourth, receives support from Jupiter, indicating George's tremendous popularity. But like most cases of Jupiter excess, based on distortion and exaggeration, this has dissipated down to a fraction of its former glory.
Interesting that, in Vedic rules, the Second governs speech. Saturn here, conjunct Jupiter, opposing the public Moon, could indicate having to account for your sins and lies to the very people you deliberately deceived, appropriate with Jupiter ruling the Twelfth. It also, finally, links to Bush's culpability since Saturn rules the Tenth, the sector associated with the Chief Executive. Chart ruler, Mars, also throws its destructive influence to the Sun and Mercury, both in the Inauguration Tenth.
But is Jupiter's protective influence, by itself, enough to overcome some very destructive contacts for the Moon? Besides being opposed by Saturn, the Moon is weakened by being in Scorpio, the sign of its Fall. Moon is also conjunct Pluto, co-ruler of the Eighth, of death. Pluto in contact to the Moon shows how the public's emotions (Moon) have been tricked and manipulated.
Moon also rules the Fourth, of endings, with Cancer on the cusp. Abundantly negative conditions of the Moon indicate, as their last days wind down, there isn't likely to be a pleasant time in store for this administration. Saturn, the lord of retribution and vindication, is patiently waiting for his long overdue day of reckoning.

Vis, great article as usual. I have the feeling that the word "unsavory" may turn out to be the perfect word to describe this administration. War profiteers, robbers of retirement funds, and savings of the old and infirm are just a few of the mighty accomplishments of this bunch. There is nothing Lenny Bruce could do that could match the deeds of the Bush administration in it's length and bredth of harm, and they aren't even funny.
Appears to me that some astro-freepers have found this site. Most sites deal with them by ignoring them. They love negative attention. They love to confuse & promote disharmony. They'd love to shut down this site as it works against their cult leaders, the bushies et al. They are the brown-shirts of the republican party. They are unable to tolerate any ideas not of their scripting. They are well-known for disrupting & sidelining a topic of conversation onto something of their choosing... something invariably trite, critical, rather hateful, & use generally varying degrees of ugly/disrespectful language. They seek to use elements of surprise to turn posters against each other. At the same time, they depend upon having their "victims" who are nice, naive, courteous, & ignorant about the freeper methodology. They do have easily recognizable patterns of speech & operation however. They run in packs & are cowards alone. But once a "victim" group is on to the freeper, it can be fun. Every progressive political activist needs to know about the freeper.

I think I wrote this before but in the 60's FBI would plant a distractor into the Peace movememt groups to break them up with in-fighting. However, what the other sites don't have that we do here are out and open psychic-intuitives. Bullies beware, you can never play my third-eye.

It is interesting to note that many vedic astrologers are also predicting Bush's downfall. So you see, even when using "newer" astrological model of predicting, there is still no consensus.

Great article--I am sure Bush will be Voted Out by the American people--but will he be given a second term anyhow, because of right-wingers controlling the vote tallys? What would we look for to check that out--Neptune and Mercury? And maybe Uranus, since electronic voting is the issue? BTW, am wondering since the president is always sworn in at noon sometime in the second week in January, aren't the house rulers often similar from one president to the next? Of course, the planet placements would be different except the Aquarian sun would always be near the top of the chart. Or am I overlooking something?
No you are not overlooking anything Barbara, you are right about the Aqu. Sun and the angles, (although they do shift over time, by minutes.) I will put an article up in a few days, but "if" Bush runs (and there is a lot of him between now and Nov. 2004 to indicate there may be something stopping him from running) but "if" he runs, his Solar Arc Mercury conjuncts his natal Neptune, again we have some type of lies and subterfuge around his participation in the 2004 election. Because of Florida, I think it would again be fraud.

SIGNIFICANT NEW SOLAR ACTIVITY IS IN-PROGRESS. A new and powerful sunspot complex has materialized over the last 2 days capable of producing significant solar flare activity. The sunspot complex, known as active Region 10484 (or simply Region 484), increased its size by more than 5 times over the last 48 hours. It should now be easily visible to the unaided (protected!) eye. Region 484 produced a major class X1.1 solar x-ray flare at 16:51 UTC (12:51 pm EDT) on 19 October followed by several smaller but notable events. Growth has persisted despite this activity and additional major solar flares are expected. Thus far, the coronal mass ejections associated with the energetic flaring from Region 484 have not been directed Earthward, although there is a chance the Earth may see a weaker glancing blow within the next 24 to 48 hours. This is expected to change over the next several days. Over the next 4 days, Region 484 will rotate toward the central region of the Sun (as viewed from the Earth). It will therefore be more radially aligned and capable of producing more signifcant Earthbound coronal mass ejection impacts. In my archived article "The Battle of the Bees" I stated that Tony Blair was in for some problems and might not make it. The day of his "irregular heart beat" transiting Mars was squaring his Natal Mars and conjunct his midheaven. Scorpio is intercepted in his 6th house of health and Mars is the co-ruler of Scorpio. His progressed Sun was under great stress at 3 degrees Cancer when Saturn went over that point and his Solar Arc Venus conjuncts his natal Mars. Jupiter, the ruler of his 8th house is 29 degrees of Taurus and is being squared by retrograde Uranus. In December Uranus again squares his natal Jupiter and Mars inconjuncts his Mars and progressed Venus. In the spring and early Summer, Saturn will square natal Venus and go on to square his Mercury and Neptune/Saturn conjunction. In Nov. 2004 transiting Uranus takes the place of Mars with a conjunction to his midheaven and square to his Mars. He has loaded progressions in Cancer (Saturn's current territory) leads me to believe his health problems are not over.
As we have seen with Cheney, modern medicine can keep a person alive even as a robot, or the million dollar man, but Tony is going to have some very stressful political strife as well and is on the brink of being a liability to the Labor Party.
Tony's Solar Arc Chiron is also at 9 degrees Pisces and progressed Jupiter at 10 Gemini, the same degree as the May 31st Eclipse. This is a bad year for him and a dangerous year.
A case can also be made for Bush's health when Saturn returns for his second Saturn return, Saturn rules his 6th house, and Mars will be heading into his 8th house, squaring his natal Mars which rules his midheaven. This plus several other aspects puts GWB in danger from the very end of 2003 and the first couple of months of 2004 and again in Aug, Sept, Oct of 2004.
Sally, that was fascinating, thank you. I heard that astrologer Jim Shawvan, in a lecture at ISAR, gave a very convincing case for Cheney becoming president in mid-December. I wish I knew the details or knew of an article.
This is the first time I have allowed myself to post a comment on this site though I have been checkin it out for some time. Ever since someone turned me on to the astrolog program a number of years ago I have become more and more convinced there is something to this but I'm still not sure what. But now its a whole new trip trying to wrap my head around this vedic astrology. It seems to make a complicated picture a thousand times more complicated. Can the sideral and tropical zodiacs both be right? How can this be? In the tropical Aries is on the 12th house cusp of the Inaugural Chart if I'm not mistaken. We'll which is it? ...I'm having a hard time putting this together. If the vedic and tropical are both right then can't there be other interpretations too?
Second question: I notice using my astrolog that Saturn is stationary all week ready to retrograde right on that US Sun which is also close to Bush Sun. If I's reading these astrological forecasts correctly it seems everyone is pointing to Bush's statue toppling like that image Felix the biddie linked to (that was hilarious by the way). Well my question is doesn't this also suggest something real bad not just for Bush but for the nation? Seems I remember someone suggesting that the Sun in the US chart represents the leader. But wouldn't it also be more than just the leader?

BBuster, yes several of us have thought of that, however both Cheyne and Bush have hard aspects, and dangerous aspects. And it doesn't need be death, during the Nixon years Agnew was gone six months to a year before Bush was gone. Bush has powerful protections around him by way of the media, money, corporations etc. and still things are leaking out. I am frankly amazed at how much is getting out considering his wall of protection. At the same time, he is building powerful enemies throughout the world and those enemies also have an impact on corporations and money, the question is "who has whom by the hair."
Dear Phil, welcome to our site and thank you for your post. I did kind of laugh because for years after I started studying astrology all the different systems drove me nuts. I was sure there was an absolutely correct method but which one. The fact is they are all valid, and all interactive.
Astrology is just another mathematical system of the universe, there are between 200 and 400 billion stars out there and that's just in our solar system, recently there has been a new solar system discovered that seems to mirror our own. Anyway, astrologers us and employ a number of mathematical systems to make predictions, not just one.
In vedic astrology there seems to be a thousand exceptions to the rule and I think that's because the ancients did not have Uranus, Neptune, Pluto and certainly not Chiron to use in their interpretations so they compensated. I think we do the same thing today.
Many astrologers combine Western and Vedic astrology, I myself use the Dasas/Bhuktis as an addition to prediction and the Navamsa. There are some profound differences in the two systems that have produced many arguments. It could be that Vedic is more accurate in predicting events and western more accurate in psychology and the human psyche. I don't even care about that, I use them both and have good results with them both and I also use the Draconic and pre-natal charts for predictive work and am usually pretty accurate.
Anyway, good luck to you and enjoy the study of astrology, it's pretty complicated and one can never master it but it's really interesting.

on top of the astrology predictions the thai curse may very well work since the man has absolutely no spiritual protection..on the contrary he abuses and distorts the doctrine of jesus. will this be the week?
Roxanne, there is a relocation chart on Bush this week, and not everyone says he could be dead. There was a greater chance when he was flying over the Middle East earlier this year. Neither his Venus or Jupiter are aspected in his natal chart and those rule his 4th and 8th house. No matter what a passing transit says, for death to occur it has to show up in the Natal chart. Something, the luminaries being covered in the natal, progressed, solar return and solar arc would be what one would look for and he doesn't have it right now. And death shows up as transformation in a natal chart and we go through many transformations in our lifetime, many little deaths. I'm not saying it couldn't happen but I don't see support for it in his natal, midpoints or vedic charts.
I don't believe this will be the week, although I have read a few articles that points to October 25th. I tend to feel it will be December, or next year some time, if at all. Let me let you all know, I do not wish any harm on this man and who are WE to decide whether he has "spiritual protection" or not? Jupiter has been rather kind to Bush his whole life, at least up until this point. I hate to think that any of us are foaming at the mouth at a person's demise, no matter who he is.
Now Bush out of office, that's another thing entirely.

Good call Laurie. Who are we to say who does, or does not have spiritual protection? It would be rather presumptuous of us to assume, I think. However, astrologically, I have noticed that those who have Jupiter placed in the 12th, especially if it conjuncts the ascendant, and is in good zodiacal state, are, as a rule protected from serious harm, and if harm does come to them, it is mitigated. This may also be the case if the ascendant, or ruler of the ascendant, receives a benefic aspect (trine,sextile) from Jupiter, but in this case the protection is generated by the individual himself, through his positive thinking, and outlook on life. Jupiter in the 12th to me is like a guardian angel watching over the native, who has earned it due to good deeds(karma)that he/she brought over from a past life (12th house).
Wherever Jupiter is placed, and what ever houses it affects by good aspects, help, success, benevolence, and abundance are assured. Of course, this has to be put in perspective of the overall environment into which the native is born, because it wouldn't be the same for a King as it would be for a cleric, etc.
If anyone can verify, or contradict any of the above from their own observations, I would be interested in hearing from them.

Yes Sally, but I have never come across someone that I knew with a Jupiter Rx, so I wouldn't be able to give firsthand information on that; maybe you can shed some light on it. How do you suppose a Jupiter Rx would affect someone in whose chart it was found? Would it deny or delay benefits?
Are you referring to Bush having Jupiter in the 12th house and therefore he is protected? The natal chart I saw looked like Saturn in the 12th and Jupiter in the 3rd.
I have Jupiter Rx, and it will never go forward by progression in my lifetime. I have never studied exactly what this might mean. Sally, do you know where I could go to get more info, or could you elaborate a little from what you said above? Thanks.

Jupiter retrograde in any house gives a more internal spiritual bent and does seem to operate less externally. With Jupiter, as with all planets, you want to look at the aspects it makes and the house it rules. As an example I have Jupiter in my 10th house, ruling the third, my career has always involved a gift of gab. My Jupiter trines my Sun and Venus in the 2nd house. I've never made money for myself but have for other people and the Sun which rules my 11th house of friends in a trine has ensured that I have always had very rich and powerful people around me. With Jupiter retrograde in the 10th I have always had an extremely high level of ethics, which I have been told within the corporate area, is too high. While my career has been public, it's not been financially prosperous for me.
It's not that retrograde Jupiter denies benefits, it's that it gives a different internal emphasis on what constitutes success or values. Let's say Jupiter in the 4th, which loves big huge homes. Retrograde, you may not have or care about a big huge home, but big huge rooms or lots of light, things like that. And Jupiter doesn't always bring good things, you have to work with it. Jupiter can bring a big huge weight gain as an example, or big huge bills, so you want to watch what it aspects as it travels around the chart.
What house would Jupiter rule? The house with Sagittarius on its cusp?
Sally, it sounds like you have some nice placements and aspects in your chart. You should also look at what planet Jupiter first contacts as it retrogrades, and what aspect it forms, if any. It's funny how I have never encountered anyone with a Jupiter Rx, and now there are two of you!
Jupiter in the 10th trine the Sun usually bestows honors, and it looks like yours will come with money. I agree with what you say about the Rx effect making it internalized, and not so much materially beneficial, but I still feel that you will have some of those riches, though late in life. Didn't you say that you were made editor of this site in April? Well, I think that was a step in the right direction, and if you have decided to devote yourself full time to astrology, that may also be a step in the right direction. Perhaps, this is the field where your honors will be bestowed. Can't say for sure, since I can't see the rest of your horoscope, but I wish you all the best.
Laurie, Jupiter would rule any house or houses that has Sag. on the cusp, and I would also include Pisces. I still use the traditional rulership with Neptune as co-ruler of Pisces, but that's up to you to decide.

when i talk about protection i meant it in an occult sense. as a former occultist i know that anyone can be a victim of a black magic curse unless you have protection. just like the ole vampire stuff, there's only one thing that could stop 'em. astro protection is one thing..i'm talking about protection from a curse, that's another..although i do agree that a well placed jupiter (12th OR 1st..or 4th or 8th?) could help? and one's karma definitely comes into that too..

I have a bunch of charts having to do with the Wilson wife's leak. This chart has all kinds of aspects with the Wilson charts that make all kinds of sense. Is this some kind of fluke or can it mean something.
Incidently I notice on the Robert Novack chart his Uranus is at 13 Aries squaring Bush and US Sun.
I sure don't want to see anything physical happen to Bush, no marty please. But impeachment or big defeat at the polls that would be real nice.

Crystal and Sally, thank you for the interesting info on Jupiter in 12th! I breathed a sigh of relief when I read that, as I have been "under attack" recently and wondering how to protect myself. Good to know I have "an angel" in the form of Jupiter. Gotta love 'm. Him? Her? Gotta love JUPITER!
Also, I was under the impression that Bush had SATURN in the 12th. Is that wrong?
Lastly, some Vedics are predicting that now through October 30th will be a hot time for Bush, especially during this Asian tour, and that with the lunar eclipse on Nov. 9th (? I think the 9th) will come the beginning of at least censure for Bush, if not impeachment proceedings, and that Cheney will also be named, creating a problem for succession. We'll see. Any significance to the 11/9 eclipse in your opinion, anyone?
Really lastly, I am guilty of one or two angry responses in the last 4 months or so, NEVER as a personal attack, but just general anger at what is happening and the venting of frustration over what seems sometimes like these people "getting away with murder." I really have great respect for all the posters here, as you are all obviously intelligent, compassionate people. I have Jupiter RX in the 4H conjunct Uranus almost at the cusp of the 5H. My studio/apartment is small but I could care less. When I am creative I am in the Universe and transcend this place.
Also, my money is never great but goes up and down in chunks and bits that I've learned to keep it simple which I will always do even if I ever get real rich.
One of my friends got into santeria and was trying to 'get' people. Rude. I don't believe in curses and that the light overcomes negative energy thrown at you. The one throwing it is collecting karma.
What do you think of Bush grandstanding and threatening to veto the iraq $$ bill if some of it is treated as a loan rather than a grant? Interesting considering that many house republicans are in effect defying the white house on this. Maybe he's wigging out because it will ensure more accountability for the US corporations using all that money on the iraq reconstruction. Do you think that perhaps the predicted difficulty this week could be around this issue and hidden motives are coming out of the closet, or is this just an example of rash decisions/statements caused by stress?

Jeanie, I think you're absolutely right - anything that forces accountability onto this administration causes them to recoil and take cover. There are so many things on which censure, at the very least, could be based at this point that it looks like a Chinese menu. I'd be interested to see what kind of an impact, if any, this lunar eclipse will have on not only Bush's chart but the US media's chart. I'm also, just in case, watching what happens to him (or becuase of him) while he's in Asia, as he has his Saturn line running right through Indonesia, I'm told. After 3 years of disappointment when things that look like they will bring him down just end up fizzling out, I'm not holding my breath for censure, I am merely relating what some Vedic astrologers are saying.

Saturn and Chiron are in opposition with other, the US Sun and GW's Sun are sandwiched between them. It's a double whammy, ouch ouch ouch. Saturn's karmic energy though not exact is beginning to manifest, we should be able to see it happening. Rumsfield's Snowflake memo leaked really fast, Boykin's faux pas, Condi's continued oops's. The Bean Counters are asking for accounting, and oops another 4 billion or so lost or unaccounted for by US managers in Iraq.

Very ugly scenario facing everyman. I've been looking at the really long view, Pluto traversing the US 2nd H, doesn't look fun either. I have come to the conclusion though that Chiron the Wounded Healer, seems to wound but the healing springing forth brings a healthier outcome, just miserable in process. I look to see America become better and more integrated in the world social community, again rising to the highest thought versus the basest. I have been wondering if the US isn't going to go through a "decline" that really is our salvation. I think that post- Bush, our superpower status may not be so superpowerful. We will be so weakened economically that the playing field may be more even. Then we will more easily function as one among equals rather than the big bully on the block.
We will also be post Saturn on the US Sun, and the prog US Sun will have moved to Pisces. Also around 2005, the prog US Mars will go retrograde, perhaps turning some of that military power into something more inward and not so aggressive. I think the experience of a militaristic Bush and the burning of our fingers by this preemptive aggression may well serve as an incentive to back off from military adventures for quite a while. One can hope so anyway.

You know, I can't stand Smirk, but I would never ever wish him physical harm. Think people, he is a family man, he's got a wife and children. He is only the frontman for the ruthless right wing. Please don't let your hostile emotions get out of hand and use him as a lightning rod. It may be that W, being a cancer, yearns to go home to his ranch. He may be the prez, but his behind-the-scenes bosses tell him what to do. Please remember that even if he were impeached, we would still have the ruthless, power-grabbing gop to contend with.
I agree that no one should wish death on another, but whatever Bush's fate is, it's already sealed. He should consider himself lucky that the only sacrifice he's making, is that he's at the White House when he would prefer to be goofing of down at the ranch; but maybe the fates will be kind to him, and allow him to lose the election, so he could have his wish. The real sacrifice is being made by the soldiers who are dying and being wounded over in Iraq everyday, and by the countless Iraqi people who have lost their lives, even before the war began. They too have husbands, wives, and children, mothers and fathers. Just a few days ago, I saw Bush on TV intoning his favorite lines about the sacrifices that "we" have to make in the name of freedom and democracy for the benefit of the Iraqi people, and to protect our country from terrorist attacks, which he knows is a bunch of hooey, but he is perfectly willing to mouth the lies of his administration. He even wears his special pained expression which is reserved for whenever he is making this speech; so don't think for one moment that he is the hapless victim of those in his administration, although I will admit that they are more ruthless than he is, and he is probably very much influenced by them, but he is no innocent.
Bush's main mission, and his father's wish in getting him elected President, was to settle the personal vendetta that his father had against Saddam Hussein (which meant getting rid of him by whatever means possible.) On many occasions, even before plans were made to attack Iraq, Bush would incorporate into his speeches on TV the line -"that man tried to kill my Dad" whenever he wanted to emphasize what a bad man Saddam was, and why we should go after him. At the same time, his father would also keep up his hateful diatribes against Saddam, so I believe that is what it started out as, and it developed into several other things along the way once the neo-cons in his administration got involved, and it finally culminated with the present debacle that we have in Iraq today.
I feel very badly for the victims of this horrible war. I've been against the war from the very beginning and I want our troops back home safely. I just cannot wish harm on people, especially if innocent family members exist. I know I am offering more sympathy to W than the right wing ever gave Clinton and his family, but I always thought that we progressives were morally superior compared to the right wing, because we actually care for people.
I recently read somewhere (sorry, no link) that Smirk was found praying on the floor at the White House and asked for forgiveness and said "I'm so sorry, but I was just following orders." (I think this was after one of the worst ambushes that hit our soldiers in Iraq); and that on another ocasion he asked a reporter to lower his voice because he was being "buggered."
There's also this guy called Skolnick who claims that W is being blackmailed because there's proof that he's gay. I don't know; I don't care. I just have a hard time believing that a cancer guy would be so heartless unless he was being blackmailed. All the cancers I know are such nice, gentle people. I also read somewhere that cancer men were the kindest men in the zodiac. And if Smirk, a cancer, can be so ruthless, where does that leave the other (signs) guys?

Julius Caesar was a Cancer and he was known more for being a ruthless tyrant than for being a gentle leader or for his skills as a military commander. No gentle Cancer person here! Caesar, like Bush, became full of his own power and had himself declared Perpetual Dictator in 44BC. Caesar also took on a series of reforms which the governing classes did not like and eventually people started to rebel against the changes he tried to bring to the Empire. We all know what happened then - a gang of 60 conspirators was formed to remove him from office. Some say history repeats itself ... we will have to see what happens to our own little Texas Caesar as history unfolds.

As boisterous as our posts can get, I have seen no post wishing physical harm for Bush. All the posts I've read implicitly state that they want no physical harm to come to this man. As a matter of fact, some of the posters have stated, as I believe, physical harm would be counter productive to our cause because it would make Bush a martyr.
Further, the posts I've read only reflect everyone's wish to see him out of office, through loss of re-election, so that his distructive policies may end.

I don't have any proof that W is gay. Just that Skolnick seems to be so sure of it. He alleges that the secret service men are totally disgusted with W because he travels a lot with a long-time boyfriend, a mayor from a sizable city. W was a cheerleader in college; not many men choose to do that. But maybe it's unfair to stereotype him.
Hey Crystal, I'm not one who usually deals in rumors but I was in a political chat room a couple of weeks ago and a guy who stated that he was a member of the military said that he would not be voting for Bush next year due to personal reasons. This guy agrees with Bush's foreign policy so this discussion about Bush's sexuality made me think about his vague comment.
Also I would think that it would ironic if the gay rumor about Shrub is true since I've read several articles stating that if things get tight that Rove is going to use gay marriage as a wedge issue.
I think that Bush's formative years may also play into this rumor also. He was raised by mother who calls herself the family enforcer and Bush I was absent for many of W's early years.

just to add an astrological note, no sign can be considered either good or bad its how the individual character of the person interprets what is given to him or her at birth. i have known many water sign people, cancer scorpio and pisces who exemplified the worst of their signs, lying manipulative deceitful and very emotionally out of whack and tremendously game playing with all kinds of emotional blackmail going on and i have know many members of the smae signs who were kind, loving, gentle, very empathetic and giving to others. it depended on the person the astrological signatures were the same for all, emotional, quick to absorb things and peoples feelings very intuitive but how they were expressed depended solely on the individual. that is the great thing about astrology that many people miss, that it is not a one size fits all system each and every person is entitled to her or his own destiny within the framework of the zodiac however that plays out. so much for my opinion.
Did you know that there are massive peace demonstrations planned in Washington D.C. and San Francisco on 10/25/03? I didn’t until yesterday when I read about it in The Nation magazine. None of the media are talking about it. I read the NY Times and Washington Post every day and I haven’t seen any news about it. Just a personal observation, but I don't think Bush is gay--I think he's just not very good at being heterosexual. All that posturing and quoting macho movie cliches! Excuse the extra post, but I must tell you my 16-month old grandson is a very early Cancer, June 22, is the sweetest baby/toddler I have ever known. All my children were male signs (Leo, Sag and Gem) so I never experienced the wonder of a water/moon baby. I must admit I simply adore nurturing him. He is very loving, smart, sweet and a pleasure always to be around. I have a cancer ascendent which drives me up a wall some times. Cause people see me as a Cancer and it has even affected my jobs. Put me into a Cancer position-kicking and screaming. People who know me better, know that I am super really my Sun Sign-Aquarian.
And I just can't understand why people in the US can't see thru Bush. Unbeliveable. I even heard someone say he was so moral, but later talked about his lying to get us into Iraqi. But they thought he did it for a good reason. Perhaps it is because of US Sun Sign Cancer.
I heard him speak today of how so many countries went to the economic thing about Iraqi. He did say they went, but if you were not listning closely it came across that they had given money. But it was only a tiny few that did. Only Japan has given in the billions, not the way he made it sound. I also keep hearing how they pledged 33 billion. But that 33 billion includes our 20 billion and several billion of loans from the World bank.

Howard Dean, who boasts of straight talking, may have some explaining to do if reports of his comments before Jewish leaders last week are true. I will not abandon Israel, ever." According to the Jerusalem Post, in the same meeting Dean made clear he believes that "the US should make public the role Saudi Arabia plays in world terrorism," and that "if elected, dealing with Iran, Syria, and Saudi Arabia would be a focus of his foreign policy." Dean also "told the group that Israel should not have to give up east Jerusalem in a future peace deal with the Palestinians, and that another arrangement should be found to deal with the capital." Needless to say, these comments were not repeated the next day before an Arab American audience in Michigan.
Double Standards Abound
This week, President George W. Bush correctly condemned the offensive and ugly remarks of Malaysian President Mahathir Mohamad, who recently told an Islamic conference "the Jews rule the world by proxy." The European Union did not find it so easy to condemn the remarks. After much debate as to whether to include a strongly worded statement condemning Mohamad's words, the EU decided to have Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi, himself recovering from rebuke over recent anti-Islamic statements, criticize the Malaysian president at a news conference. Unfortunately, this kind of double-dealing is not confined to the other side of the Atlantic, as demonstrated by the reaction by the Bush Administration to the comments of Lt. General William Boykin, a high-ranking Defense Department official, who when describing a victory over Muslim opponent stated that he knew "that my God was bigger than his," and that his God, "was a real God, and his was an idol." Boykin has also described the United States as "a Christian nation, because our foundation and our roots are Judeo-Christian and the enemy is a guy named Satan," and believes that President Bush is in the White House "because God put him there." Yet the vigorous response we saw by the Bush Administration against Mohamad has not been repeated regarding Boykin's troubling and bizarre statements. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, Boykin's boss, reacted by stating, "We're a free people." Well, not according to a certain Attorney General... National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice stated that "Everyone thinks the comments were hateful, they are outrageous." Too bad she was talking about Mahathir Mohamad, not General Boykin. And President Bush's statement that Boykin "didn't reflect my opinion" or "reflect what the government thinks," was hardly vigorous. An editorial in this week's Washington Post is an excellent summary of this situation: "Would that Mr. Bush's sense of outrage at religiously inflammatory remarks was so finely tuned when it comes to members of his own administration. Thus far he has found nothing to criticize in remarks disparaging of Islam by Lt. Gen. William G. 'Jerry' Boykin."
