THE BATTLE OF THE BEES
THE BATTLE OF THE BEES
Bush, Blair and the BBC
WHOOO ARE YOU? Said the Caterpillar (Alice in Wonderland – Lewis Carroll)
It is a mistake to look too far ahead. Only one link in the chain of destiny can be handled at a time. (Winston Churchill)
For those of you who do not know, there is a raging battle being fought between the BBC and Number 10 Downing Street. The cast of characters is long, and some of the names you may know. Jack Straw (foreign secretary) Greg Dyke (director general of the BBC) Richard Sambrook (BBC’s director of news) Andrew Gilligan (news reporter for BBC) an unnamed high government security official, a board of BBC Governors, the House of Commons foreign affairs select committee, Blair, England’s very own Karl Rove by the name of Alastair Campbell, and the never named shadow Bush,
The row started over a story by Andrew Gilligan, in which he stated that he had it on good authority that the War Dossier was “sexed up” by Blair’s Communications Director, Alastair Campbell, to make a case for war with Iraq. “Sexed up” in England means, “changed,” “added to” “exaggerated.” The government by way of Campbell and Blair hit the roof and demanded the independent of government interference or anyone’s interference, BBC retract. They would not. The news director, Richard Sambrook, the general director, Greg Dyke, and the Board of Governors, flatly stated that they stood by the story, they had a right to publish it, and Blair and Campbell were trying to divert attention away from the hard questions regarding what is now called “the dodgy war dossier.”
Well, let me tell you, Blair (b. 05/06/53 at 6:10am in Edinburgh, Scotland) and Alastair Campbell (b. 05/25/57 noon chart in London) stormed for days demanding an apology, accusing the BBC (b. 11/11/22 noon chart in London) of issuing the most inflammatory thing that could be said about a Prime Minister and they were going to the House of Commons to have them censure the BBC and clear their name. The BBC would not, has not, and will not stand down. So, off they went to the House of Commons and the “select committee on foreign affairs.”
Now it’s getting worse and involving “the shadow” of GWB. The “select committee” said they didn’t have enough information to know whether Alastair was guilty of “sexing up” the document or not, so they would clear him of that. However, they also said that an unelected official had no business in secret foreign affairs committees and he needed to stop going to them. But the big blow came when the “select committee” said they needed more information from Blair and they had four specific questions he needed to answer to avoid them coming to the conclusion that this was a “phony war.”
As a theater director would say, “the stage is set, and the curtain goes up.” (pay attention George, Karl and Congress)
These are the questions that the Lords in the House of Commons select foreign committee say “MUST BE ANSWERED.” Oddly enough these are some of the same questions we want answered here in the states.
What is the current state of Iraq’s missile infrastructure?
Is the September dossier’s verdict on Iraq’s chemical and biological weapons threat valid?
What is the current assessment of the dossier’s warnings on Samoud 2 missiles and its claim that Iraq had 20 unaccounted for Hussein missiles?
When was Jack Straw, foreign secretary, told that documents claiming Iraq had sought uranium from Niger were forged?
Is the “45 minute” claim accurate in the light of the subsequent war when weapons of mass destruction were not used?
In addition, they want an independent inquiry, they want Blair to apologize to the country for “misleading” them, even if it proves to be inadvertent, Campbell is not to be on committees concerning intelligence matters, Blair’s presentation of the dossier “made a bad situation worse,” and from now on the committee wants access to intelligence papers and personnel.
And as a last punch the final decision will be made depending upon what the 300 members of the Iraq Survey Group turn up in their search for WMD’s.
What does this have to do with us? Plenty! Pluto in the BBC chart of Nov. 11, 1922, conjuncts the US and GWB’s Sun in Cancer, their Saturn sits atop the US Saturn, bringing GWB’s karma closer to him, as well as ours. Their Mars squares GWB’s Asc. and Mercury, infuriating Bush with the information they find and report. Their Uranus opposes GWB’s Mars and is squared by their Venus, also aspects America’s Uranus. The information reported by the BBC as it comes out of the House of Commons will anger GWB and shock the United States, changing Britain’s attitude toward George Bush and the United States, making further pre-emptive strikes with the Brits next to impossible, as volatile Mars sets off the whole process this summer and fall.
How would America feel to “lose” Britain? Would we then start to question George’s foreign policy? How will they feel when they see Blair taking a fall for lying because he cannot answer the questions. This little "row" between Blair and the BBC is going to bring down the Bush Presidency, with their Pluto sitting on GWB's Sun and Saturn soon to conjunct it all will be the downfall of the Bush administration.
Another problem the two B's share is their Suns in the 12th house. There is always the spector of detention, unless they are working on what the Hindus call "Moksha" a high level of spiritual liberation. Their own spirit, not ours.
http://www.thenation.com/capitalgames/index.mhtml?bid=3&pid=800.
When Mr. Blair looks toward Washington and his “friends” to help him he will only find echoes of his “old friend George,” as Saturn erodes further friendship. In 2004 Saturn will set off the square in Blair’s chart of his Venus/Uranus and both aspect GWB’s Sun/Moon square. One of the things Blair fears most is abandonment that is what he will get from the US.
As for Alastair Campbell, he has tied his fortunes to Mr. Blair as his Sun conjuncts Blair’s Mars. Campbell’s Mars conjuncts GWB’s Sun and Blair’s Uranus at 13 degrees of Cancer and they all square GWB’s Moon and Blair’s Venus, not good aspects for “going down in history.” Like George, Tony has his Sun in the 12th house indicating he and George become an odd footnote in history.
The best thing about this drama, has it been the BBC who has spread Blair’s problems in big splashy, day after day columns? No. The BBC has been what it’s always been understated, reporting both sides of the story. Instead it’s been the unabashedly liberal newspaper “The Guardian” who has demanded answers, laid out the lies and inconsistencies of stories, shown the pictures of the dead and maimed in Iraq, keeps asking about the oil, the Carlyle Group, the Bechtel Group, on and on. The Guardian is also an independent paper, paid for by a trust fund to provide “honest news for the people.” They aren’t dependent upon advertisers, big business or government. The Guardian has leapt in popularity in the UK and is known for its accurate reporting and telling the truth. The Guardian is “coming to America,” before the elections.
We must all be sure to support them and let them know how happy we are to have them here. http://nymetro.com/nymetro/news/media/columns/medialife/n_8938/

Holey moley! -this is excellent, excellent.. i've already been reading the English Guardian for some time now, and this would just be excellent to say the least... the backlash is under way, it is massive and slow, and inevitable...
excellent.
Sally, thanks again for a timely, well written piece. I have a question though. According to Wolfstar's Newscope at www.stariq.com, he claims, looking at Bush's transits, that Bush is the odds-on favorite to win the 2004 election.
If this is so, it seems Bush will succeed no matter what comes out of the fracas with Blair and the BBC. I feel sick. Please, Sally and other astrologers, say it isn't so.
First of all, before we get sick, how often has Wolfstar been right?
Heh heh.
I am reminded of an earlier time in our history when American car companies formed a monopoly and built cars meant to break down. Great profits were made off of captive buyers on spare parts. Along came Toyota, who built cars meant to last, and the monopoly was broken. Americans thumbed their noses when Ford, GM, et al came begging.
The Guardian....how appropriate! I am grateful.
Sally
I also would love for you to comment on the
astology Wolfstar has pointed out. However, my
original question was do you have a location for
Bush's birthday just past? I'm assuming either
DC or Kennebunk but have not been able to find
confirmation of either. Last year he was in
Kennebunk. Thanks for your help and for the
column.
Hey, I can't take much more of this roller coaster ride. I went to STAR IQ and read the column noted above. It kind of makes sense if you have been following WolfStar's theory about contact with 25 Aquarius. I also remember reading that Uranus retrograde on the night of the election probably indicated no change in leadership for us this time around.
Let's make a pact guys. Let's try not to let our politics interfere with our professional judgment when evaluating astrological prediction work. If George Bush is meant to win then just say so. It may be a bitter pill but it is better if we swallow it now and get ready for what comes next.
Am I making any sense here? Please don't misinterpret these comments as hostility. It is just a reminder that truth must always start within ourselves and most definitely on these pages.
Hey the comment just above is not me. It is some other very interesting person.
I agree with Pat. Have read this column for ages now and in all these months the talk has been how Bush is NOT going to win the coming election. It is the one thing keeping us going here also in spite of many people here still being behind him 100% no matter what he does. Several other sites referenced on this site have also said Bush everything from Bush will not win to the other extreme of him being rubbed out by people in his inner circle. Now this Wolfstar says Bush is going to win and no change at elections? HELP! What is going on here??? We can't take much more of this either!! YOu all can't be looking at the same charts and saying different things, can you?
Throw us a lifeline! Thanks!
ps/ What about the Vedic predictions talked about here on this site???? Completely the opposite predicitons from Wolfstar with timelines and everything! Now we don't know who to believe?!
Well, I don't think Bush can win with his planetary allignment in the fall of 2004. Eventually, I will put it all in an article, but I thought I would wait to see who runs against him. There is a long list of adverse planetary configurations including: the Saturn station on his Saturn, square his MC, and semisqaure his Mars, ruler of MC. The same Saturn station is quite near the Inaugural chart IC and the Bush/Cheney composite chart Mars/Venus conjunction. I also think Pluto sitting exactly on his South Node is rather ominous for him, as well as Neptune quincunx his Sun. There is a bit of Jupiter coming in for him, to his natal Moon Jupiter and square his Sun, but I don't think it can overtake all the Saturn, and it doesn't begin until a few weeks after the election.
I have to agree that getting the most informed opinion regarding Bush's re-election chances is paramount. I well remember prior to the "02 election almost everyone was predicting losses for the Republicans, Jeb would lose in Florida etc.
Obviously, it did not come to pass. While we cannot help being influenced by our biases in interpreting data, I know I read this site not simply to be told what I want to hear. The idea of 4 more years of Bush fills me with dread and despair. However, please attempt to interpret the data as best you can-even if it's not what we want to hear. I know that predictive astrology is more art than science anyway-no one really knows what will happen with certainty-there are so many variables involved.
We can cheer one another on as we attempt to get through such dark days but let's not harness astrology as a "cheerleader" unless it seems truly warranted.

I must repeat it was not me who asked about Wolf Star, but some other interesting person.
Prior to the 2000 election, I did a Tarot reading inquiring about the winner. I was shown trickery and the winner being Gore. As we now know Gore was the winner, and in fact Bush was the looser. Now of course we are stuck with Bush anyway because they cheated. Gore was shown carrying laurels. He does, but he is not governing in the Oval Office.
I am wondering if Jeb lost as well, but cheated and governs. I'm wondering if many office holders were brought into office the same way.
The problem for me is how the heck to interpret things.
I just sent an email to wolfstar which included the following:
"You might want to make a correction in your recent article. Bush's progressed Venus/Jupiter is in Libra not Aquarius, and when they begin to separate in the summer of '04, they both move into a square with his Saturn."
In the article he says they are in Aquarius and conjunct the US Moon (Scorpio chart). They are not in Aquarius and the US Moon in the Sag chart is not in orb of the trine til into 2005.
Thanks Nancy.
Welcome Guardian!!
Let me apologize to everyone for any early morning angst I may have caused. I did not mean to cause such an uproar. Little did I know I had usurped anyone else's identity, nor did I know I was calling into question anyone's abilities to predict Bush's future. All I really wanted to do was ask that we try and keep our politics in check so that only the "truth" is told in plain English. No wish fulfillment, no pie in the sky....just the facts Ma'am. It's a lot easier on a body to have an honest answer to an honest question, don't ya think?
Sorry to all astrologers I may have offended. And most definitely sorry to the other Pat who is working furiously to distance themselves from my comments of this morning. Mea culpa!
Never distancing myself. I thought you made the same mistake I have made in the past. I have put the person I am addressing in the name box and I thought that is what you had done. That was a good point you made.
There will be confusion now with two Pats.
As I've said before regarding Astrology, "energy is just energy and can play out a number of ways." When an astrologer looks at a chart and sees something "ahead" they are looking at abstract math symbols and often times are as surprised that their predictions come to pass as anyone.
For me, my conviction of his loss of office is growing because of the fact that I saw the "making of a scandal" based on a lie told around the end of January first of February, heating up the end of May and plagueing them for the rest of the time. That's happened with the WMD's, the energy played out the way I thought it would.
As far as the Uranus "retro" on election night, that hasn't always panned out in other elections. Also, there is a different twist with this election and that twist is George Bush didn't win. So will the retro's mean that what was supposed to happen in 2000, will happen in 2004.
Also in America's progressed Tertiary of Nov. 5, 2000 Pluto was in the 12th house retrograde at 9 degrees Aquarius, opposing GWB's Mercury at 9 degrees Leo, the 12th House Pluto hid the power of the election. The mid heaven of the 2000 chart was Sag and Jupiter was also in the 12th House at 29 degrees Aquarius.
In 2004 Aquarius is at the mid-heaven at 9 degrees Aquarius, with "progressed" Pluto at the mid-heaven in the exact spot it was in 2000, only now it isn't retrograde. It is still opposing GWB Mercury, but Tertiary progressed Mercury is squaring at 9 degrees Scorpio (always watch Mercury the Messanger for clues) Plus the ruler of that Tertiary mid heaven, Uranus, is at 16 degrees Cancer in a square to GWB's Moon, and that indicates a surprise.
Even if he does win, he will not be in office long after, nor will the rest of the administration be there.
I do read Wolfstar and can see what he is saying regarding Presidential Deaths, however one can find different, but just as powerful aspects in other charts indicating death of presidents. There is one right now and that is Solar Arc. Mars in America's chart is conjuncting America's South Node, we are pulling our own violence from the past toward us. Whether reading a chart with a Scorpio Asc. or Sag Asc. Mars would rule the 1st house of self in one, and the 4th house of endings in the other.
One thing is for sure, George Bush's decent into loss and humiliation is for sure, it's the timing that is tricky. Will it be before the election or just after, and that is going to be hard to call, but it will happen. Nonetheless, one way or the other he will leave office either disgraced or worse dead, I prefer "disgraced."
I still believe there will be a surprise candidate in the fall which will change the playing field for the election and I can't get too excited over all the candidates we have now, but it will be a "no holds barred"
election.
Afterward, we will have to turn our attention to the WHOLE of the government and the corruption WE have allowed to grow. We allowed it because we didn't demand answers. It's a good sign that "The Guardian" is coming, a really good sign. We will have to find the strength within ourselves to face the truth about this country, and then be part of the change.
Pat, you are absolutely right, the temptation is always there in astrology to bend what we see to fit our subjective opinions or what the "client" wants to hear. An example, Jupiter is sextiling GWB's Jupiter and coming into a conjunction to his Venus, that will give him some relief during this immediate period, it also gives him yet another opportunity to "do the right thing, and see a broader picture, which as President he needs to do. And as astrologers we need to be honest with what we see.
I don't like Bush, but I do see him as a negative catlysist who will bring about positive changes for the country. Because of his policies, WE will have to look at ourselves, we are having to make changes and when the dust of this all settles, we will, as the people, demand and get more honesty from our leaders.
So don't apologize because you are right.
To Pat: Gotcha! I have changed by Posting name to my initials. That will help separate us, one from the other. I am an infrequent poster so my next challenge now becomes remembering this new screen name. That, my friend, is a consequence of the bad memory I have developed as I have grown older. I am in infrequent poster and therefore cannot promise, with 100% accuracy, that I will remember to use this new name in the future. If I do it again, just post that it wasn't you and it will prod my brain into action to correct the error of my ways once again.
To Sally and Nancy......thank you so much. Your last posts are the clearest, most carefully crafted I have read in some time. I can't express how much I appreciate caution, even a little self doubt once in awhile. It makes me trust what I read all the more. Thank you and kudos for being willing to engage me in this conversation.
My bad.....the last comment should be addresed to Sally. Another one of my slippery memory moments.
Again, thank you Sally!
I compared GWB's solar return chart of 2000 and 2004. in the 2000 chart, he has five planets conjunct in cancer and rising in the SR chart and SR Saturn and Jupiter are in his natal 10th, which I believe indicates his successful rise to the presidency (regardless of how he got there). In the 2004 SR chart, SR Saturn is in an exact square to his natal moon, SR moon is exactly inconjunct his natal Saturn, and Jupiter is not especially helpful (although it is in his natal second--good for fund raising). SR Pluto is retrograde and opposes his natal Uranus and SR Venus is applying toward conjunction of this opposition. In addition, his SR Sun, Saturn, and Mercury fall in his natal 12th around (sorrow and dissappointment?) and his SR moon and Neptune fall in his natal 7th of open enemies.
I know there are other things that one needs to take into consideration for making predictions, but surely something as important as being re-elected President would be reflected in the Solar Return, and I don't see any. Am I missing something?
That's what we get for not having been given exotic names. :-) PATH is darn appropriate here, and much more interesting.
Sally, great comment! Thank you!
Stephanie,
That looks rough for the resident.
How lucky are the Newbies in the Group (myself included) to be surrounded by those with much, MUCH more experience, wisdom and insight. Whether Bush loses or wins, I know I've benefitted from the above conversations regarding his Transits, Progressions, etc and so on. But, of course, my fingers are crossed for him to Lose ... and big time.
Just wanted to put my two-cents in.
Jonathan
Stephanie, great interpretation of the Solar Return. One thing I've been looking at in that SR is Mars on his Natal Ascendant. That could mean a rise to power or angry words throughout the 2004 campaign and election night. That Mars is also in an applying conjunction to Natal Mercury, (usually blunt and angry words) It's in an applying square to the NN in the 10th House (with the conjunction to Mercury I would say that he says something he regrets or negatively impacts him) It's conjunct the "Part of Passion" in the Arabic Parts of his SR, indicating a rise in passionate speech. SR Mars also conjuncts the Astroid Hygiea and that is taken to mean "a direct challange to one's health as a consequence of supressed anger." Again an indication of angry speech (because of the closness to the Natal Mercury) Could be more facial boils like he had during the 2000 Election, and because that Astroid conjuncts his natal Mercury it points to nervousness, it also conjuncts his Natal Ascendant pointing to robustness and aggressiveness, another indication of speaking out of turn or in anger.
His SR Arabic Parts is very active and I won't list them all, but Jupiter conjuncts his part of Increase (pointing to your interpretation of fund raising success) Saturn conjuncts his part of Fatality, Uranus his part of Catastrophe, Neptune his part of Treachery, Pluto the part of Organization (power over him by his political machine, makes sense in an election year)
I must, however, again say that it is Americans we must look at, and the America chart because it is about us, not Bush. Whether we like or dislike him, the collective will make the final decision in the election. This country en masse, for good or for ill have identified some part of themselves with him due to the Sun/Sun Conjunction and we are all having a hard time separating ourselves from his actions. It doesn't make any difference whether we are fighting against the "parent" for control of our lives, or whether we are "embracing" the "big daddy" to save us. This election and the last election was about the Collective America and who we let step in to represent us, and why we want that kind of representation. With George Bush the pugnaciousness of America, looking for a fight, found its fighter. Now, it's the dream of peace we must hold out there.
Bush calls slavery a crime and praises Mandela and I applaud these comments. I fervently hope his intentions in Africa are honerable. This is the first time ever that I've been proud of what came out of this man's mouth.

YUM-YUM!! Your latest article & links are sooo good, Miss Sally.
What makes anybody think the progressive candidates in elections 2000 &, especially 2002, DIDN'T win?!?! Have the now common-place jiggered dys-elections slipped consciousness? A jiggered dys-press?! Jebbie bush won the election fair n' square?! Not damn likely!
* It cannot be said enough: THE PEOPLE ARE BEING LIED TO! Diebold Magic? http://www.bartcop.com/111102fraud.htm
There are 2 ways that everyone can be right.
He is wounded on Aug 27-28. But he lives to win the election and dies of his wounds soon after.
Or impeachment can get started and he wins the election and is impeached soon after. Look at Nixon, he won an election after the breakin was known about. We have never really had a complete impeachment and it could work like an assination in the charts.
The important thing is to get rid of the rest of the gang. Some of the democratic nominees are just as much a part of the gang as Bush is. So be very careful. I like Dean, for one reason is that both of the party insiders are against him. I think they would do the same with Dennis K. if they thought he had a chance. They are against Sharpton because he can carry a lot of votes.
I just read this am where some people have discovered how the voting machines are rigged. I am not sure if they have proved that they are or not. Of course the votes where rigged in 2002, esp in Florida. Now if the democratic heads where serious in having a fair election, then they would dig into the rigged voting machines. Think about it. At the top, they are all the same. We have to elect around them.
Sally, bless you for your good thoughts. I saw his speech early this morning and he was, just as you say, wonderful. It was as if I was listening to Clinton. He did seem to be enjoying his moment of heroic presence. With that in mind, there is no doubt in my mind, there are no honorable intentions. It's just not in the Ferengi (sp?) holy grail behavior code. I think it's all about control and corporate takeover while the iron is hot.

I totally forgot to say "great artical to Sally" I had not done any of the astrology, but had thought "maybe" when I have read about the BBC stuff. The astrology shows that it is going to be very significant.
Also last week Wolfstar does talk about that Aug date as powerful people leaving or something like that. He has shown that Neptune is close to an 8H of 16 Leo at the death of a president. But Lincoln has a big an orb as Bush will have on Aug 27. Both about 6 degree orbs.
ALL astrologers are talking about July and especially August with Mars making it's closest pass in 60 to 70 thousand years. The end of Aug. will be dramatic to say the least also the beginning of Sept. Massive Earth changes are not out of the question and Morgana feels it will involve water and that is a distinct possibility due to Mars being in Pisces. It will oppose Jupiter and the Sun, and Jupiter points to "massive."
I don't know how to do astrocartography. Anyone?
I know how to do astrocartography Pat, were you looking at the August date? There are some nasty mid points running down the middle of the country and landing right on Texas
Ah! I seem to remember seeing that now. Are either of the coasts threatened? That would be water for sure.
Does the middle of the country look like earth movement, explosions, or water or wind? Those are red States. There will not be the money to offer the States.
How awful that we are having to look at such upheaval.
I think it also will depend on what the chart of Bush's opponent looks like. BTW, what does anyone see for the economy astrologically this year and next?
And before we get sick, let's re-read Wolfstar's column and get a clue. He says that Bush's progressed Venus and Jupiter will be at 25 Aquarius by Election 04. His natal Venus is in Leo and his natal Jupiter is in Libra. He's only 57 years old. How could these two planets progress all the way to Aquarius?
Wolfstar is WRONG. Bush's natal Venus and Jupiter will progress to 25 Libra at Election 2004. Both will have passed Spica, a very lucky fixed star, that aided Bush in Selection 2000, but is "no more."
Further, Wolfstar uses the Scorpio rising chart. Some people are going to make a Sagittarius/religious, puritan nation a bloody Scorpio no matter what the evidence to the contrary.
Now, if the 25 degree mark is so powerful, let's look at John Adams, the USA's 3rd president: his natal Mars and North Node are at 15 Libra, or conjunct the USA's Saturn. He has nothing in his birth chart at 25 degrees. I did a study with Rob Couteau http://www.dominantstar.com for an astro mag where we pointed out that more U.S. presidents have strong Libra contacts in their charts -- hence, Bush's Moon Jupiter conjunction in Libra, conjunct the USA Saturn.
Now. Here's what I think: Bush may well be re-elected because he and his mafia henchmen can fix the electronic voting machines. That is the likely scenario unless Cheney's malfeasance on Iraq and his energy meetings blows first. This will mirror the Nixon scenario. It was his VEEP, Spiro T. Agnew who was forced to resign first over fraud and income tax evasion. Let's look at the signs. They are starting to show. Bush may get re-elected, but my prediction is that if so, he's crippled all the way through. Chiron conjoins the Inaug 2005 MC, opposes Bush's natal Saturn and natal Nemesis(!!) and conjoins the USA Pluto. It opposes the USA's 8th house Mercury, bringing bad bad news for Mr. Bush.
Love, Claudia
Enjoying everyone's comments. Jane says it better than I could. Trying to refine my astrology skills. Still trying to determine Bush where abouts on his past birthday. I know solar returns can be done for natal location, current residence or where one actually is at the time of the return. The little bit of comparison I've done favors the last option. Does anyone know where Bush was this past Sun? Stephanie what are you using to do Bush solar return of 2004?
Well, I might get sick anyway.
Bush's remarks in Africa are his pandering for the black vote back here in America. He doesn't believe or care about one word he said today.
On Solar Returns: I cast them for where the person is actually living. I set this year's Solar Return for Bush for Washington, DC, because that will be his official residence until he gets booted out of the White House. Also, because Bush's Sun and the USA's Sun conjoin and square Saturn, Bush and the USA's chart and Solar Returns are inextricably linked.
USA Solar Return has a cluster of planets in the 9th house of its chart, including T-Saturn, of course. And look at the disruption of security, safety, sanity, and civilization (Cancerian themes) in the middle east? The 9th house also is Bush's link to his family's so-called archenemy, Saddam, who has suddenly "re-emerged" via that video on Al Jeezera. Isn't it weird that the Bush men have planetary lines that go right through Iraq? That's what their Astrocartography shows. It is even stronger with Daddy Bush. Baby Bush, with 12th house Sun-Saturn is but another "victim" of the dark family dynamic shadow. Daddy Bush helped install Saddam and hooked him up with the CIA.
Love, Claudia
So that fits with what Sally has been saying about Bush possibly winning but even if he does, he can't finish the second term.
What a wonderfully interesting site this is!! Thank you so much!
Sometimes I become perturbed that astrology continues to add on more variables. You begin with ten "bodies," then throw in Arabic "points," then who-knows-how-many asteroids, then fixed stars, then black holes, and now even The Great Attractor. Of course, there are the Sabian Symbols, numerology and Tarot to help with clarifying. After a while, you have so many variables that it seems likely you can reach most any conclusion.
But then, I'm not an astrologer and Sally, Claudia, Morgana, Geneva, and the other contributors to this forum, are. So, I leave it to them to sort through all this stuff, and then share (at no charge, amazingly enough) results with us.
Claudia has said for some time now that she's just not sure that Bush will indeed fail to be elected in 2004. Many others do think he will fail. The bigger issue is the fall--isn't it?--and not whether it's pre- or post- the 2004 election. (And those machines we've read about today are very scary, indeed.)
An even bigger issue to me is whether a sufficient number of the American people learn from this rather harrowing "experiment" we're in, and take back their country with the deepest commitment to never let it again be so easily taken, shaken and (almost) broken.
Also, I want to add my appreciation to the astrologers who contribute to this forum. In particular, thank you for being true to your craft. We may sometimes wish your analyses had resulted in a different conclusion(pre- rather than post-2004 election, for example), and feel disappointment, but your integrity and careful analyses are far more important.
And, finally, I am so happy to know how much all of you love our country.
A PS: I'd like to re-request the astrocartography of July 17th.
Many thnx!
Shylurker, very very well said, and it does take a ton of information to reduce to an interpretation and all of those are used. However I knew a very famous Astrologer who once said he finally threw all the extras out and stuck with the basics. And it doesn't matter really whether he wins or not, because he has already done so much damage it will take a couple of decades to sort it all out. We will have to wait for the next conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius in 2020.
What time and place were you interested in for July 17th? And I didn't think it would happen so soon, the back turning this administration would do on Blair, but it has started. Politics are brutal.
http://news.independent.co.uk/uk/politics/story.jsp?story=422957
You, please, choose the time and place. I am concerned due to info that appeared on this forum that July 17th (apparently the anniversary of the founding of the Baath Party) could be the date that will trigger some massive retaliation.
Thank you yet again, Sally.
This is off topic but relevant, thanks all.
Here in NYC I just came back from my first time going by the WTC site to see the fabulous poet-singer- artist-politco Patti Smith give a free concert 2 blocks away. She said we were in the 'belly of the beast'. At the end of her encore she was very political and was yelling/singing that we need to "Wake Up people and be without fear. Where were we on Sept 10? Be fearless in getting that back and let 'George F-ing Bush' know it too". GFB :) Missing John Lennon alot.
This site is outstanding in it's well written, cutting edge astro interpretations with a sense of humor even though we are talking serious stuff. I learn so much astrology, history, wisdom and keeping up with the macrocasm. Thanks for letting this novice participate. Cheers.
PW,
I use the place where the person is living at the time of the Solar Return. So for 2000, I used Austin, TX because he was still Governor of Texas at the time he was "selected." for 2004, I used Washington D.C. By the way, GWB 2004 SR chart is very similar to his natal--i.e. leo rising and aries MH, Sun, Saturn, mercury in the 12th. Perhaps 2004 then is the year that that the promise of his chart (karma) will begin to manifest.
Sally,
I remembered your prediction that there would be some scandal involving GWB that occurred in January or February but wouldn't come out until later and that he would have to deal with the fall out for rest of his administration. I'm thinking that maybe this was his assertion (based on fraudulent documents) during his State of the Union Address that Iraq was seeking to buy uranium from Niger. Today Bush finally came clean, admitting that this information was wrong. But he's trying to claim that he did not know it was bad info. However, Cheney actually sent the former ambassador to Niger to investigate this last year and the ambassador reported that the information was false. How could Cheney not have reported this to Bush. Seems that Bush is now definitely caught in a lie. I don't think this is going away--not with the democratic candidates gearing up for their campaigns. This was all reported in Sunday's NYT--the former ambassador, Wilson, wrote an Op-ed piece explaining all this. Here’s the link:
http://www.nytimes.com/2003/07/06/opinion/06WILS.html
I just don't see Bush being re-elected; the astrological indicators are not there and all that he has done is now spinning out of control.
Gee! I didn't realize we had such a fickle readership here. They read one prediction by an astrologer from some other site and immediately go into a tizzy. Thanks Claudia for restoring some order. Let commonsense prevail. Prediction has to allow for a margin of error just like polls. It's like Morgana said, they call it as they see it, and all the astrologers here always back up their predictions with ample proof, but there are so many factors involved in astrological predictions, that even with exhaustive research(I'm sure Sally knows all about that), no one can guarantee 100% accuracy - that belongs to the realm of Divine Providence. That is why astrology is referred to as an inexact science. Anybody can read a chart, but the information found there, will be subject to different interpretations. However, the astrologer who is gifted with intuition will have the edge over the others.
Before the Iraq war, I read predictions on various astrology websites, and most if not all of them were off the mark, especially where timing was concerned. Most of the Vedic sites predicted the war would begin in January, and even after it was begun, they were wrong about subsequent events. Some Hindu Swamis even predicted that there would be no war! I guess the same is true for psychics. They receive impressions, but they have to interpret them, and that is always subject to human error. Timing becomes an even more difficult issue, and most psychics will admit that pinning the event down to the exact hour, day, or even month is sometimes difficult for them. By the way, there is a psychic on the web who predicted death for several public personalities in 2003-04. Katharine Hepburn was one of them. VP Dick Cheney is also on that list. Now, how did I get off on this tangent?
I remember during the 2002 elections, that some voters in Fla suspected that skullduggery was afoot with the voting machines. They claimed that when they voted for the Democratic candidate, the vote registered with the Republican candidate. Others said that when they voted Republican, the machine recorded multiple votes for that candidate. Who knows? Nothing more was heard about it. I think they should give those machines a trial run before the next elections.
Caudia! I do agree with your interpretation of Bush's visit to Africa (probably at Rove's behest). Also, the White House waited until the President had left for Africa to announce that he erred in one of his speeches in which he accused Saddam of trying to purchase uranium in Niger to make a nuclear bomb, but they are laying the blame at the foot of the CIA, so it's left to see how that is going to play out.
Sally, thanks for the link about the Guardian. They were a source of consolation for me during the Iraq war. Glad to see they'll be here in the months leading up to the elections. Maybe they'll be able to pr-empt any skullduggery that may be planned by you know who.
Hope when Bush falls, his entire entourage goes with him. I think his advisors are even more dangerous than he is.
Nancy -- the "surprise" candidate you foresee, does Hillary fit that? Or do you see an even "darker" horse?
This is one of Sally's best pieces. Her work is generating a lot of self-survey and plenty of commentary. She's pushing the envelope with a new approach to mundane astrology. A new kind of presentation, and from it, a creative new way of viewing the world.
This week we have the USA's Venus return and transiting Saturn's contact with the USA's natal Venus and Jupiter. Because Venus and Jupiter are about "expansion," and "be fruitful and multiply" and "unlimited capitalism" and now, Bush Empire to the end of the earth, the signal of limitation (Saturn) and restraint, and blowback/payback, appears to to be insinuating itself into Karl Rove's Machiavellian plans.
Interesting now that Saturn has left Gemini (releasing its gag over the mouth of the press) how the media doesn't want to stop talking about Bush's phoney exhortations to the world about how Saddam was an imminent threat to the USA and civilization.
Bush is in Africa, the country associated with the sign Cancer, and while he insults us and by feigning an understanding of history and the consequences of America's first compromise with inequity, Washington begins to unravel as news of the most cynical and diabolical manipulation of the American and Iraqi people hinged upon a forged document.
My God, my friends. Bush is in Africa talking about the crime of slavery after having lied to his own people for ill-gotten gains the way some tin pot dictator would in a failing nation-state.
We know it was Cheney who foisted the Niger/Uranium forgery off on Bush. Bush is too uncurious and uncaring to have picked up the phone and done some vetting of information himself. Cheney is the one who shoved this into Bush's STOU speech.
The crimes this administration is committing is off the charts. Off the Reichter Scale!
I know you already know! But tonight is a night where I have put it out there so my heart will stop thumping so hard in my chest!
Love, Claudia
During the Nixon years, as I mentioned before, it was Nixon's VEEP Spiro Agnew who took a fall before Nixon did.
Well, well, well, look at this tidbit in today's news! Yippee!! Love, Claudia

Court allows suit on Cheney energy panel
- - - - - - - - - - - -
Pete Yost
July 8, 2003 | WASHINGTON (AP) -- A federal appeals court dealt a
setback to the Bush administration Tuesday, refusing to stop a lawsuit
delving into Vice President Dick Cheney's contacts with the energy
industry as his task force was drafting the White House's energy policy.
In a 2-1 ruling, the court rejected the government's arguments that the
lawsuit would be an unconstitutional intrusion on the operations of the
executive office of the president.
Cheney and administration officials "have not satisfied the heavy
burden" required for the appeals court to get involved in the case,
wrote appeals judge David Tatel. Appeals judge Harry Edwards concurred
in a separate opinion. The lawsuit had been proceeding in a lower court.
Drafted in 2001, the administration's energy plan favors opening more
public lands to oil and gas drilling and proposes a wide range of other
steps supported by industry. It followed months of discussions by task
force members and staff with business executives and lobbyists from the
energy sector.
The groups that are suing _ Sierra Club and the conservative Judicial
Watch _ allege that participants from industry effectively became
members of the task force in assembling the White House's energy policy.
The administration says the makeup of the task force was limited to
government officials.
Bush administration officials have not even produced a summary of
documents they want to keep confidential, the appeals court said.
If the administration is so concerned about unwarranted intrusion, it
can "invoke executive or any other privilege" in an attempt to keep the
material out of the public domain, Tatel wrote.
Judge A. Raymond Randolph dissented, declaring that "for the judiciary
to permit this sort of discovery" into the actions of the vice president
and other Cabinet-level appointees "strikes me as a violation of the
separation of powers."
Federal agencies have disclosed 39,000 pages of internal documents
related to the work of Cheney's energy task force, which itself has
turned over no materials.
"We look forward to finally gaining access to the inner workings of the
energy task force," said Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch.
Tatel did agree with the Bush administration on one point, saying the
request for information by Judicial Watch and the Sierra Club "goes well
beyond what they need." The two advocacy groups are trying to show that
non-federal officials participated to the extent that they were
effectively members of Cheney's task force.
The Justice Department said it was considering "how best to proceed in
the courts to protect the effective functioning of the executive branch."
Thrilled to see Claudia here, she is one of the "master mundane astrologers" anywhere. I know I'm pretty good and can go toe to toe with Claudia (on some days) but she is outstanding and the only Astrologer I have ever asked to read my chart. So we are lucky to have her input. Thanks Claudia.
Shylurker, I just got home and will take a look for the 17th tomorrow and will post it here. We'll just see who might be up to what.
I've have to tell you all that I am just, as Brer Rabbit would say, in my laughin' place. I posted a link earlier from the Independent in the UK regarding the fact that the White House left Blair hanging out to dry on the uranium that Iraq was supposed to have bought in Niger. The White House said they only put that in the State of the Union speech because they got the information from England and didn't know until much later that it was false. So that was the White House's shot across the bow to Tony Blair. Here is the response from 10 Downing Street.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/3056626.stm
And the information comes from one of the three Bees, ah, it's the BBC.
Thank You Sally,
Once again you have spoken the truth and revealed cracks in the world mgt. team. Bravo! Your genius with relationships of political and astrological is played out via the BBC connection. "Pluto in the BBC chart of Nov. 11, 1922, conjuncts the US and GWB’s Sun in Cancer, their Saturn sits atop the US Saturn, bringing GWB’s karma closer to him, as well as ours. " Finally we are seeing the Blair/Bush team as pawns of a much darker force. Finally the ungaged wave of criticism from the media just won't stop like waves breaking on the shore again and again. Emotions are running high on this blog and in the world log as Mars in Pisces pushes Venus and Saturn in Cancer to get things back to the way they were before 9/11 or even Nov. 2000.
Claudia I share your disgust for Bush's hypocrisy in Mother Africa today. Now is a time for the US to really call upon Chiron and heal the wounds of slavery not perpetuate more slavery with the rape Africa's precious resources.
Sally I agree this scandal has just begun to boil.
I also agree that Bush will fall thru Cheney or Rumsfield just as Nixon abdicated his throne. My fear is that the power behind GW Bush's throne has created a terribly oppressive infra-structure under the guise of homeland security. This oppression has really just begun as DARPA kicks up their "paranoid surveillance systems into high gear." The NeoCons may even try to stage another 9/11 type incident before they think abt. giving up.
I have to admit as an Air Sign/fire moon with Cap. Rising this onslaught of Cancerian Planets has really got me activated.
All my love to all the brave posters on this board. We are part of history being spun with the help of the great weaver Pallas Athena leading the charge in Aries!
My "feverent hope" that George Bush would do the honorable thing in Africa was just that a hope. Claudia is soooo right when she said "he didn't believe or care about one word he said today." Take a look at this.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/3055924.stm
May I suggest voting by absentee ballot?
"Chiron conjoins the Inaug 2005 MC, opposes Bush's natal Saturn and natal Nemesis(!!) and conjoins the USA Pluto."
Thanks Claudia!
http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2003/07/09/lying/print.html
A nation of scared sheep
Why don't Americans care that Bush may have lied to them about Iraq? The answer lies deep in our reptilian brains.
The deep, almost spiritual conflict between honesty and lying is ingrained in our national psyche. Who doesn't remember as a schoolchild hearing the tale about George Washington father's discovering the young boy next to a felled cherry tree? When asked who had cut the tree, George is said to have replied, "I can't tell a lie, Pa; you know I can't tell a lie. I did cut it with my hatchet." As it turns out, that story was a lie concocted by an early 19th century biographer to embellish Washington's rather staid character.
But the story illustrates Americans' paradoxical approach to lies. Certainly most humans hold complicated and deep-seated views on deceit and candor; Americans, however, seem to have an especially bipolar one. At times, they assume a puritanical, absolutist stance on telling falsehoods: It is always bad. Other times, they're far more lenient: It's acceptable. This conflict is evident today when we look at how Americans have reacted to the fact that the Bush administration hyped, and perhaps in part fabricated, its case for invading Iraq, and that it grossly distorted who would benefit from its massive tax cuts. Americans put a premium on honesty and forthrightness, but they appear willing to forgive Bush's exaggerations and hype and the convoluted excuses his administration has offered in the aftermath of war. At one point -- in response to those who questioned the administration's assertions about Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction -- Bush accused his critics of indulging in "revisionist history."
It's ironic that this is the very same populace that a few years ago was glued to its TV sets as Congress impeached then-President Bill Clinton for fibbing about his sexual dalliances with White House intern Monica Lewinsky. Clinton was vilified, even though his lie was one many men caught in a similar position wouldn't have thought twice about committing. (In fact, some of his most vituperative opponents, including Newt Gingrich, hid their own sexual affairs.) Eventually, Americans wearied of the drawn-out impeachment process, and the Senate acquitted Clinton. Still, many Americans thought -- and still think -- that his lie undermined the integrity of the presidency. A more recent example is Martha Stewart. Many Americans believe Stewart should be punished for allegedly lying about the sale of roughly $240,000 in ImClone stock.
Much more......

GWB's location at time of his birthday:
"After spending an hour in Dayton, he returned to Washington, D.C., for festivities honoring the nation's founding 227 years ago -- and to attend his "surprise" birthday party." this was from the Minn. Star Tribune.
I think Bush went to Dayton on July 4th. and to Kennybuckport for his birthday. Not positive.
ABout the Jupiter and Venus trian US Moon. The thing is that it is in Libra and the Moon in Aquarius. Venus and Jupiter, excess of money. Now this is not something that either Libra or Aquarius would like. Libra would find it very unfair and Aquarius would rebell against someone trying to buy them. So all that money just might backfire.
Also there are lots of aspects to the US moon in most of the democratic charts.
With Bush, it's always the bait and switch. Once ya' know the plan, ya' know the man. That's why I made a special point to do that article on Karl Rove that spawned so much angst here. People seemed to confuse me with the negativity of Karl Rove who is the architect of the famous Bush "bait and switch" system of "governance." An abysmal breach of trust will shortly be Africa's fate should they dare expect any help from Bush.
When Bush says he's going to do something, I always cringe because I know it won't be long until the other shoe drops. Bush has Tom DeLay in the House of Reps to do vastly horrible dirty work so that Bush himself doesn't look like the bad guy. That's because from now up to Election 04, Bush will start to come out wringing his hands and pretending to be a moderate. He'll have Tom DeLay act the wild right wing part so Bush's plans look very tame in comparison. This is exactly what he did during his two terms as Gov. of Texas. Molly Ivins proves this case perfectly in her book "Shrub."
Ivins gives you the right wing's game plan as mapped out by Karl Rove as does "Bush's Brain: How Karl Rove Made Bush Look Presidential."
When I heard Bush talk about the AIDS $15 bn in the SOTU speech, I got sick knowing that sooner or later we'd hear that some committee or other in the House of Reps would announce that the funds wouldn't be appropriated or would be substantially reduced.
We also know that Bush cares nothing for anyone other than White wealthy aristocrats. The plight of anyone outside a nicely landscaped gated community doesn't make his radar. Bush may be a shrewd political animal, but he is void of aesthetics. He possesses no intellectual beauty. No refinement. He is simply an expensively dressed savage. Very mafia, I think.
Love, Claudia
Mmmm... thanks for insightful post Jean. I'm in agreement with you. Anyway, the money "raised" is the same old money he'd get from plutocrats anyway... he likes to make it appear wide-spread & universal to intimidate the people & prospective opponents, is my take on the stupid matter. Everything he says & does is a loose or calculated LIE. Bah! Humbug!
Sally, I am tickled pink every time you mention that rascally character Brer Rabbit. I remember spending many enjoyable hours as a child, during our library periods, reading about his adventures, and those of his companions, Brer Bear, and Brer Fox. I was wondering how you knew about Brer Rabbit, because I thought they were folktales that originated in the West Indies, but I did some research on the internet and found out that the author was actually from the American South. I also learned a lot of interesting things about him that I didn't know before. I would like to buy a complete collection of his tales in its original form.
By the way, "I Remember Mama" is one of my favorite old movies. I've seen it at least 3 times on TV, and I always remember my mom too, because Mama was so much like everybody's mother I guess.
Hope your spirits have been lifted out of the doldrums, at least temporarily.
I wish there were some herbal anti-nauseous-bushie remedy! Just thinking a small bit about that toxic creature literally makes me physically ill. And he is a living symbol of a small but loud aggressive violent supremacist segment of USian peoples, but by no means all. The people voted for Gore.
Hate to burst bubbles, but about that wonderful speech the Chimp made....
__Senegal Citizens Penned Up While Bush Gives Speech Condemning Slavery
While George Bush was on Goree Island reading somebody else's words condemning slavery, the island's residents were rounded up, herded into a football stadium, and kept confined until Bush departed. U.S. security agents patrolled the shore and a U.S. gunship stood off the coast, protecting Bush from the souvenir vendors and other dangerous denizens. This paranoia is a stark contrast to President Clinton's visit in 1998, according to former Mayor Urbain Alexandre Diagne: "When Clinton came, he shook hands, people danced."
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/nm/20030708/pl_nm/bush_africa_anger_dc_1
It was just a "slim" hope Lucy, I always hold out hope that people can change. Before I saw the "penned" up story last night, I saw where Bush's Congress, is already gutting the bill Bush signed for more money for Africa and the administration isn't fighting it, so much for hope.
Impeachment anyone?
Saturn in Cancer, and about to make its return to the position it was in when Richard M. Nixon resigned the presidency.
Well, feature this, folks -- oh, please don't miss this article:
http://www.dailybusinessreview.com/news.html?news_id=27057
Supreme plot
Palm Beach County commissioner faces stiff fine over illegal fund-raising effort to oust three state justices
But state administrative law judge Harry L. Hooper, who presided over McCarty’s hearing in February on the campaign finance charges, concluded on May 1 that the former Palm Beach County Republican Party chairwoman was little more than a front for a Washington, D.C.-based campaign against the justices, which was organized during the 2000 presidential election recount battle.
That campaign, Judge Hooper found, was orchestrated by Roger J. Stone Jr., a Republican lobbyist and political operative who has said he worked for President Richard Nixon’s Watergate-era re-election committee and served as a campaign strategist for Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush. Stone, who owns a $2.2 million bayfront mansion in Surfside, received $1.8 million from the Miami-Dade County Commission last year for political work he did for the county. .........
Well Claudia looks like the rats are turning on one another. That's a nice little benefit to that nasty Mars in Scorpio square Uranus and Mercury in the Inauguration Chart.
Yes, Sally, marvelous, isn't it?
Just thought of this: T-Saturn in Cancer will square Bush's "popular making" Moon-Jupiter Conjunction in Libra and in 2004, when it conjoins his natal Saturn and Nemesis, it will square his progressed Jupiter and Venus (still in Libra) thus indicating a steady decline in the polls; a decline in popularity; and with Saturn-Venus: love restrained; withheld.
This is good news, I think.
Again, even if "re-elected" (well, he wasn't elected a first time) because of voter machine mischief, I still say that a second term will be nothing but ruin: the Iraq occupation will be a horrible quagmire and because this country has no money now to pay its military, the military will revolt.
I have the feeling that we may live under Marshal law for a time....people will start rioting....
Love, Claudia
Claudia, I'll take one Wesley Clark with that!
Amen to Wesley Clark!
Wonderful article Claudia!!
His Sun is in an applying square to Jupiter, among other things, that's an aspect that says "the laws don't apply to me." When Saturn squares that Jupiter I would say he finds out they do. The last time Saturn was in Cancer what when he "gave up drinking."
The Equinox in London has always said that they teach at Oxford's Astrological School that in the case of Saturn, when it conjuncts the Sun, it acts like an opposition, a culmination. It's the opposition to the Sun that is the new beginning. Bush spent a great deal of the last 29 years in a Hindu Saturn Dasha and that is now leaving. To me that would mean that he is coming up on a time of strong karmic dues for his last 29 years in politics.
The astroid Kronos is at 0 degrees Cancer, I always felt that when Saturn crossed over Kronos that was kind of a "time's up" kind of thing, for all cardinal signs, but particularly Cancer and particularly those who asked to lead. The old biblical truth comes to mind, "for those whom much has been given, much is expected."
Yes, Miss Sally... & why not? The creature's ended his "career" with the slaughter of tens of thousands of children. Not a good omen for a cancer.
No it's not Joanna, not a good omen at all. All the millions of words written just relating to Astrology has been a way of communicating the "omens." Omens come in lots of forms and Astrology is one of them. Right now I am wondering if Bush wants to even come "Out of Africa." Lots of people dying there too, and lots of them because of us, the US Foreign Policy. I have given up hope that Bush has "honerable" intentions there and for some reason that is important for his Karma and for ours. This country was built on the beaten backs of their ancestors, we needed to redeam ourselves there and we haven't. I wonder if "slaves" rise up against the WASP or is the signal that the WASP will be enslaved over the coming years.
Thanks to Sally, Pat, Art, and so many others that contributed the last couple of days!
I don't know that it is either/or when it comes to what we generally refer to as Karma.
With the slavery issue, the one thing missed is that the so-called "master" is enchained to the slave and what eventually happens is that the master becomes the slave's slave. This subtle role displacement can be seen in all sorts of relationships: the domineering mate; the ass>>>le boss; the critical, brutal parent; the dictator vs. his people.
Saddam, for example, became so paranoid in Iraq that he built the palaces and spent so much life energy avoiding his enemies both real and perceived.
Such people are enslaved by their addictions to control, power, wealth, etc.
Bush is a drunk without a recovery program, so now he uses "Jesus" as his excuse for being "self-will run riot."
He "hears" God tell him to invade countries and solve problems such as those between Israel and the Palestinians, problems that have persisted for centuries, as if he could just "do" this because he "said so."
I don't know if this means anything. I was just thinking about this.
Love, Claudia
Absolutely true. It occurs to me that as long as the US government tries to control the world, it will be trapped and enslaved by those they to control. Wealth will be siphoned from the people to the groups who resist. There was a comedy called the Mouse That Roared in which the tiny kingdom declared war on the United States so they could receive foreign aid.
There are so many historic examples. Rome seems to me to be the best parallel. Without the slaves Rome couldn't function. Russia, or more appropriately the USSR self-destructed through their enormous need to control through the military and government. They fell. These neoconservatives are no different than Rome or the USSR. They too are falling. It will take decades to repair the damage, if we can. We will have changed forever.
My thoughts are still processing.
Shylurker, I hope you get this, I took a look at the astrocartography map for the 17th Saturn/MH mid point line runs down through the middle of the Western US going down through Texas and hitting the tip of Southern California where it meets the Saturn line, Pluto line crosses the Saturn/MH in Arizona, however Pluto also crosses further up the southern coast of California. Mars isn't there so that's good, although the Mars and Uranus Lines cross that Saturn/MH line right on the border of Colorado and Utah. This could all portend an earthquake (Saturn being very earth) and Pluto upheaval. The aspects for California that day would be transiting Venus and Chiron squaring Venus/Mars in California's chart, transiting Moon opposing their Sun and squaring transiting Pluto but nothing really difficult, except the Moon to Pluto could indicate a timing event. The real problem is Pluto is still in a pretty tight square with Calif. Sun. The thing about Pluto is Astronomers say they could be off 5 degrees one way or the other with Pluto because of its erratic orbit. Mars is squaring the US Uranus and is really slowing down getting ready for it's retrograde motion. It's not quite stationary so that's good, but it is slowing down. It could also be hotter than all get out during this time. I would say however that if there is something that happens it will be of an earth change nature and it will be toward Southern California, impacting the West.
My apologies for the "Absolutely true" post just prior ro Sally's excellent astrocartography post. I know what I was trying to say, but the pumpkin hour had long past and, what can I say, my thoughts could not completely process.
It would be nice to just play in the summer rain today. Sounds very nice.
Claudia,
The reference to the mafia was astute.
History has shown government connections to the mob. Joe Kennedy used the Sam Giancana (sp?) to win the election for his son, JFK. Then they dissed SG, we know the rest. Savages in good clothes. What an image!
How interesting that the 'Sopranos' is now so inbedded into our collective, thuggery is hip and in. Notice how 'Gladitator' won the Oscar. It spoke to our collective gladitator mentality of thumbs up or down. Jerry Springer, Reality Shows. Mafia = Big Daddy.
Bush Dynasty is just that: Mobster mentality dressed up. Bush Cabal care more about drugs and oil than the people.
Sorry if this sounds cold BUT: Regean'a Alzheimer might be a defense menchnaism (even a lie?) to forget all those diabolical memories of wrong-doing. Probably willed himself to forget or else suffer the consquence of dreams and memories.
Boy, this site is hopping!! Miss a few days and lo and behold there's a few new wonderful articles and nearly a hundred comments!! Love it, love it.
Noticed today an article in my local area newspaper, "GOP Nerves Rattling as Re-Election Nears."

California is burdened with grave $$ deficits, the highest in the country, and matters weren't helped by Enron's bilking us out of $9 billion in electricity charges and that's for megawatt hours Enron got money for and laughed up their sleeve by not delivering it to us. Instead they sold it a second time to Oregon. Now you know why Bush loves Kenny Boy so much. They're just alike.
Gov. Davis is also under "Recall" and this is very, very close to happening. And yes, it is hotter than hell in the Inland Empire.
I'm here in Southern California and my own natal Pluto line runs right through L.A. Santa Monica. If you don't hear from me after July 17th, assume that I was sucked under by a tectonic plate.
Bush mafia: yes they are. Bush own grandfather was prosecuted under the U.S.'s "trading with the enemy act" for having profited off the Nazi Regime. Daddy Bush presided over a U.S. Eugenics (master race) program when he was a U.S. Senator by allowing a forced sterilization program to occur in several Southern states and in the state of Oregon. The Bush family has done business with the Bin Laden family for decades, which is one major reason why Osama is running free.
Saddam: Daddy Bush, when he was head of CIA, helped install Saddam.
Oh, did you know that Norman Schwartzkopf trained the Savak, the Shah of Iran's secret SS-style police, the very police that tortured Iranian citizens at will?
Did you know that Colin Powell was involved in the initial cover-up of the Mai Lai Massacre in Vietnam?
Nice damned people we've got running things.
I hope I survive July 17th.
Love, Claudia
Claudia,
You are in my prayers.
Thank you Pat!
Nearly as soon as I mentioned earthquakes and the Gov. recall in California, look at Arianna Huffington's new column -- check the metaphors.....Arianna's office is located less than one mile from my front door!
It just doesn't get any better than this!
You won't believe this!

The California Recall: Looking For The Silver Lining
by Arianna Huffington
Californians are used to earthquakes. Even stomach-flipping jolts of the ground beneath us are met with a shrug and a ho-hum yawn. Wait a few seconds, and they're over. Life goes back to normal. But this one's different. It started slow, but it just won't go away. In fact, it has so rattled the political landscape in the Golden State that it has the state's political establishment running for the doorjambs and stocking up on bottled water and canned goods. It's swiftly dawning on them: this could be THE Big One. I'm talking, of course, about the snowballing effort to oust Gov. Gray Davis in a special recall election. What just a few short weeks ago seemed like little more than a summer diversion for bored, angry and powerless California Republicans -- the political equivalent of a trashy novel enjoyed while baking on the beach -- is now looking like an inevitability.
let me clarify a couple of things. 1st for the woman who wrote and was upset about Saturn crossing her Sun. Let me explain something about Saturn, it is the "restricter" yes and the "karmic cop" it's also the planet that helps us set our boundaries, what we need and don't need. Helps us to get toxic people out of our lives, helps us buckle down to get the job done, reminds us to start taking care of ourselves. And for women, gives us a good dose of selfishness, usually we are so busy taking care of pets, kids, friends, parents, etc that we don't remember to be selfish. In GWB's case with his Sun Square his Jupiter, it's going to help remind him that he too is not above the law. (hopefully)
July 17th. I honestly believe that in Southern California it is going to be very hot and very dry. I would be more concerned about an earthquake if the Mars/Uranus line crossed the Pluto/Saturn line, it doesn't!!! I live in Colorado and the Colorado/Utah border is in more earthquake danger with Mars/Saturn/Uranus/Pluto lines all coming together there. My hunch however is another forest fire. Let me repeat, Texas, Mexico, a corner of Oklahoma, Southern California I think will be really hot. I think Claudia is right however about the Gray Davis recall, something brewing underneath all of that, people feel manipulated by everyone, could be an "earthquake" of a backlash.
Thank you so much, Sally. Your brilliance is matched only by your kindness and generosity.
Whatever may be reflected in the astrocartology study you did (earthquake, wildfire, worse heat!), I am relieved that it doesn't look like another retaliation.
Again, many, many thanks!
if there were one, I don't think it would be the west coast, our enemies are fixated on the east and the government. There is so much energy around this summer and it will come out someplace so where, one can look at "likely" places, NY was kind of easy when one looked at the Pluto/Saturn opposition and NY or the east coast, but on Aug. 11, 1999 when the grand fixed cross ran across the globe there were tons of predictions regarding violence, instead what we got was a horrible earthquake in Turkey.
This particular thread exemplifies this site - your articles, everyone's comments and insights, are just terrific. I've been reading it regularly ever since I found out about it.
I'd just like to say thanks for all the hard work!
Tommy Franks, listen to what he says here...An Iraqi Commander is calling "blood blood" and it was interpreted as a code word for chemicals? More likely the streets were running red with it.
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20030711/ap_on_go_pr_wh/us_iraq
At one point during the war, Franks said, the United States intercepted Iraqi military communications suggesting a chemical attack was imminent. An Iraqi commander issued orders that included saying, "Blood! Blood!" — which U.S. intelligence analysts thought was a reference to chemical weapons called blood agents, Franks said.
Blood agents are chemicals containing cyanide compounds that are carried through the blood to cut off oxygen to the body's tissues.
Franks said he did not know why Iraq didn't use chemical weapons or why U.S. forces hadn't found any
On the subject of earthquakes - if you set any store by predictions of psychics, one of them who bills herself as the psychic to the Stars, is predicting a major earthquake for California. Another, of more humble origins, but who is supposed to have a good track record is predicting a major earthquake will hit New York. Among her other predictions are that oil will hit $100 a barrel, and that Hilary Clinton will be the first woman Presudent of America. FWIW, she made these predictions on 9/15/01, but did not set any time limit on them.
And I predict that everything will hit the Bush Administration all at once, like a ton of bricks. If he and his buddies had any shred of decency, or integrity, they would all step down, but I guess they would rather be pulled down like Saddam's statue. They really must think that we are mushrooms - keep us in the dark, and feed us a lot of BS.
The army report is out with what caused Jessica Lynch's unit to be ambushed, and suffer so much loss of life. Some of the reasons given, are fatigue, errors in judgment, malfunctioning equipment, and jammed weapons. The parents of some of the victims are angry, and are demanding accountability from someone in the Military. Good luck to them.
Have just read a huge headline at Drudge Report that CBS is reporting Bush knew info on uranium buy in Niger was false.
Read the body of the story and senior White House officials are saying that they were informed by CIA that the info was incorrect. The National Security Team surrounding Bush decided to use the info by making sure that Bush referred to "British intelligence" being the source of the information in his State of the Union address. They knew that it would be technically correct if factually misleading. However, CBS doesn't seem to cut any slack for the boys in the White House. Simply stated they say the White House willfully and knowingly used bad information to mislead the American people regarding Saddam's nuclear capabilities.
Good Lord, someone better check the front lawn at the White House quick. It's gonna be loaded with chicken shit soon cause all them little chickens is coming home to roost!
Alleluia!

Digging for dirt
By Jim Lobe
WASHINGTON - The administration of President George W Bush is finding itself increasingly beleaguered by growing charges by retired intelligence and foreign service officers that administration hawks exaggerated the threat posed by Iraq in order to press Washington into war.
The White House was forced to admit earlier this week that Bush's assertion during his State of the Union address in late January regarding Saddam Hussein's alleged attempts to buy uranium in Africa for a supposed nuclear arms program was based on flawed intelligence and should have been omitted from the speech.
But a growing number of lawmakers and independent analysts are suggesting that the uranium report - which was actually based on crudely forged documents supposedly provided by an Italian intelligence agency - may be just the tip of the iceberg of an effort by neo-conservative and right-wing hawks centered primarily in the Pentagon and around Vice President Dick Cheney to skew the intelligence to make their case for war.
"The Bush administration did not provide an accurate picture of the military threat with respect to Iraq," according to Gregory Thielmann, who served as the director of the Strategic, Proliferation and Military Affairs Office in the State Department's Bureau of Intelligence and Research (INR), until last September.
Contrary to the repeated assertion by Bush and other top officials, he said, "As of March, 2003, Iraq posed no major military threat to the United States," Thielmann, a 25-year foreign service veteran, told a standing-room only press conference at the National Press Club.
He added that the administration's public statements about Iraq's biological and chemical weapons capabilities, stockpile of Scud missiles, and ties to al-Qaeda were also misleading and often based on distortions of what the intelligence community itself was saying.
His charges and the growing attention being paid to them come on the heels of similar charges by another retired foreign service officer, ambassador Joseph Wilson, who had been sent by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to Niger to check out the reports of Iraq's purchase of uranium "yellowcake".

Crystal, I am going to take your prediction as a hit, it sounds like the best to me.
Is it me? But each time a plane went down (Flight 800 and Swiss Air) there were United Nations people aboard.
When the Trades fell the UN was having a conference in the top floor of one of the trades at Windows of the World.
Crazy thought?
I don't think so. There were also large stock sell-offs which connected to the targets of the events just before they happened.
On July 17, 1996 Flight 800 went down. According to the first eye-witnesses that I heard calling in from Long Island beach towns into the Channel 7 newsroom (before all the hype) saw a red flare or missle ASCENDING towards the jet.
Were there stock sell-offs that day too?
I don't know about that in the case of flight 800. I do clearly remember the eye witnesses you refer to though. I also share the conclusion you have come to in that case as well. People wonder why no one speaks out in outrage. I think they are afraid for several reasons.
There is no choice though. Those in positions to lead have to, and so do we.
You know Bahkti, the stocks would be a very good thing to follow. Frankly I never thought about it, never thought to check what else was going on. Very good, might try to find the history of the day on the market with Flight 800. I do remember people talking about "the flare."

* Barge Poles - In a political world blackened with the stinking pitch of lies, distortion & death-dealing hypocrisy, a shining knight of truth stepped boldly forth last wk. With admirable--if ruthless--honesty, Polish Foreign Minister Wlodzimierz Cimoszewicz openly declared that his nation joined the Anglo-American crusade against Iraq for one purpose only: a share of the plunder from the conquered country's oil fields.
Here was no shifting, no spin, no crocodile tears about "democracy" & "liberation" such as are wont to dribble down the ever-flapping cheeks of Crusader geo & his faithful page tony. While each new day seems to bring another tortured "justification" for aggressive war from the Coalition's loquacious leaders, bold Cimoszewicz dispensed with pious cant & spoke plainly, the BBC reports.
"We have never hidden our desire for Polish oil companies to finally have access to sources of commodities," the minister told a grp of Polish magnates gathered to sign an agreement allowing them to join the corporate hunting packs from the US & Britain in tearing off chunks of the Iraqi carcass. Indeed, access to Iraq's oilfields "is our ultimate objective," Cimoszewicz told the press. ... con't http://www.moscowtimes.ru/stories/2003/07/11/120.html
MY comment: I'm bettin' we're about to see a rebellion by those of the military not seen since the 60-70s... perhaps even greater. Sally: Kronos? There's always something new. Never heard of this asteroid.
And since my north node is 00 Cancer (same as you say Kronos is now), does that mean "time's up" for me in some way?
In some UK coverage I was reading last night, prob about Campbell's expected resignation later this year, it mentioned that Bush and Blair have a meeting coming up on JULY 17TH!
Larry. No of course not, first of all people are not affected exactly the same way, depends on where their progressions are, their solar returns, what does your NN aspect. Kronos is a Transneptuian point. Its the Aries point or 00 degree of the sign. Kronos will show authoriative positions in life, it's the "handling" of positions of respect - so it's government leaders and aspects to that is going to affect government leaders. It is through aspects to Kronos that a person's competence can be questioned.
In astrology Larry it isn't just one aspect to one planet or point that an astrologer reads, it's a combination of a "whole picture."

9/11 Inquiry Alleges Witness Intimidation
A US panel investigating the September 11 terrorist attacks yesterday accused the Pentagon and the justice department of obstructing the inquiry and said witnesses were being intimidated.
The federal commission of inquiry was appointed eight months ago by the White House, which was under intense congressional pressure to look into allegations that the CIA, the FBI and the Pentagon could have done more to prevent the 2001 al-Qaida attacks.
Among a string of apparent intelligence failures, the commission will be asking why the FBI failed to heed warnings from some of its agents that al-Qaida could be planning to hit targets with hijacked airliners.
The investigation has been hampered by the withdrawal of its original chairman, Henry Kissinger, on grounds of conflict of interest, and funding difficulties. The bipartisan panel now says its work has been blocked by the bureaucracy.
Tim Roemer, a former congressman and a member of the commission, said yesterday: "We're not getting the kind of cooperation that we should be. "We need a steady stream of information coming to us...Instead, we're getting a trickle."
In a statement, the panel said the Pentagon's lack of cooperation was "particularly serious".
The inquiry's chairman, Thomas Kean, criticised the justice department for insisting intelligence officials giving testimony should be accompanied by "minders" from their agency.
"I think the commission feels unanimously that it's some intimidation to have somebody sitting behind you all the time who you either work for or works for your agency," he said.
The White House said the president was committed to the process, adding: "The president has directed federal agencies to cooperate and to do so quickly."
But Steven Push, whose wife died on September 11 and who represents victims' families, said: "I believe that there is stonewalling going on here."
He added: "It's beginning to look like some type of a cover-up."

Bush & Blair are meeting on the 17th!!! WHERE?
This meeting on the 17th sounds ominous. I don't know why, but in my gut the timing of it feels weird.
Thanks Sally for the reassurance.
