Bush, 2004 GOP Convention
Vis Numar
OK, it's still a year and a half away, but here's a look at the chart of Bush's convention speech; which, according to the NYT's, will kick off his re-election campaign. I've set the chart, on September 2nd, 2004, for 9 PM.
First, here's what they say in the papers, and then I'll look at the chart:
The president is planning a sprint of a campaign that would start, at least officially, with his acceptance speech at the Republican convention, a speech now set for Sept. 2.
The convention, to be held in New York City, will be the latest since the Republican Party was founded in 1856, and Mr. Bush's advisers said they chose the date so the event would flow into the commemorations of the third anniversary of the World Trade Center and Pentagon attacks.
The back-to-back events would complete the framework for a general election campaign that is being built around national security and Mr. Bush's role in combatting terrorism, Republicans said. Not incidentally, they said they hoped it would deprive the Democratic nominee of critical news coverage during the opening weeks of the general election campaign.
The strategy, described by Republicans close to the White House, is intended to highlight what Mr. Bush's advisers want to be the main issue of his campaign, national security, while intensifying his already formidable fund-raising advantage in the general election campaign.
I actually looked at this a year ago, so let's just review the notes:
The first thing to note, is that Mercury is stationary direct on the day following the likely night of Bush's speech, at 25'45 Leo. Typical of announcements during Mercury retrograde, the speech will already become muddled with confusion, but also typical of the ensuing stationary direct, the playing field will shift directly thereafter.
Bush also has an aspect change in the Vedic chart, on July 30th, his Saturn-Jupiter-Moon dasha becomes Saturn-Jupiter-Mercury, which:
... is the final period of Bush's four-year term. Although Mercury has a strong influence on Bush, it is his worst planet. He may become very unpopular with the media and even the business community. This dasha occurring at election time does not help him much. Saturn-Jupiter-Mercury bring back the three players from the last election -- Democrats, Republicans, and the press. But because Mercury rules Bush's 12th House, he will be at a disadvantage in this election, should he run again in 2004. Komilla Sutton, April/May 2001 TMA
What strikes me is what's going on in Cancer, Bush's natal sun sign. He will be completing his second Saturn return in 2004, and this will be following up on the conjunction of his natal Cancer Sun, which is also being conjuncted by transiting Varuna. In addition, transiting Venus is conjunct Saturn, and a waxing square of the Moon to Venus/Saturn is happening on September 2nd. Given that this is all in the natal 12th House of Bush, there is a sense of smoothering that is going on combined with a stern display that shows lack of emotion, maybe aloofness.
Bush's natal Mars, given its strong content during his administration, will be highlighted coming up to the convention and thereafter. The Sun conjunct Bush's Mars on September 1st, and the transiting Sun-Mars conjunction commences into orb, becoming exact on the 15th at 23' Virgo. Bush should be burning; especially in the two days prior to Bush's acceptance speech, while the moon is in Aires. If the acceptance of the nomination is much prior to 9 PM, it will begin while the Moon is VOC in Aires, just as Al Gore's was in 2000.
The other difficult transiting angle at work is Pluto conjuncting Bush's South Node. In the 5th, the gamble shows all the chips being layed down, Bush is betting the house against Pluto's undoing. Bush's natal Pluto is conjunct Mercury at his Leo ASC. Coming at a time with Mercury stationary direct in Leo, it all works to suggest a karmic turning point in the campaign of major transformation.
Given the events of Pluto and Mercury, and the general frustration of Saturn and anger of Mars that shows manifestation, I'd suggest this doesn't work as a jumping off point. Further, looking at where Bush's Sun is at in the chart, conjunct the IC, suggests to me some sort of political still-birth of his "re-election" campaign.
It's been often remarked that Bush has a nodal bucket chart, with all of the planets within the outer degrees marked by the Moon's nodal positions. However, this ignores Varuna in Bush's chart. Bush is Varuna. The good thing about Varuna is that what it gives, it also takes away. Natally, for Bush, Varuna is at 27'46 Aires, conjunct the MH. Knowing that Bush doesn't like to stay up too late, an earlier than 9 PM speech seems probable. And thus, an Aires Moon conjunct Varuna into a VOC speech. A "re-election" free-fall would be good to go.

Vis - fascinating article, one that we'll all go back to look at time and again.
The Democratic National Convention is set for Boston on July 26 through July 29. Of course, we don't even know yet who the candidate is, but does anyone know what night is set for the candidate's speech? Is it always the last night, or the night before the last night? If it falls on the evening of the 28th, 9:00 or after, the Moon looks VOC to me, at 28 Sag, but I'm not positive.
Does anyone know any more info on this?
The heck with being appropriate: A really big hug and kiss. I needed some good news to start this day. I needed some good news as I read the morning papers which cemented in my mind that the deficit is getting out of control, the environment is being trashed, the wall between church and state is crumbling, and the Constitution is weaking. Therefore, Vis, much appreciation to you this morning for giving us the hope that we may not have to contend with this rightwing nut another four years.
Laurie - The acceptance speech will be on Thursday night, the 29th. I think the offical campaign begins when it ends, though it could also be when the speech starts. I am not sure. But the Moon is not voc.
The good news is that Saturn moves into a square with Bush's MC and a semisquare with his Mars during the Republican Convention. Things deteriorate for him after the Convention. Also significant is the Mercury station during the speech. Though it has moved direct, it is hardly moving. So his "message" such as it is, remains stuck and gains no ground. His whole campaign will be stuck. If you progress the speech chart for one day per month, by the election Mercury will not have moved even half a degree.
Pluto will also have just recently turned around and will be heading back towards Bush's South Node, not fortuitous for him. All his recklessness and shallowness that has lead to ill thought out policies will be laid bare for all to see.
Hi, Nancy,
Thank God/ESS for you and you for this wonderful forum!
I've been so depressed since the stolen election that my family became concerned and began to insist that I turn off the TV! It didn't work!
I was born on the heels of WW2, (April 9, 1941) and I, as an infant, must have internalized that fear which is why I'm so fixated on watching every move the little Dicktatortot makes. Hey, it is people like you who keep me optomistic in this now insane world since America was bulldozed in November, 2,000!

All this is such good news! I appreciate astrology even more now than I did prior to the neoconservative rise to power.
Thank you Vis for this fine work!
Nancy, thanks for clearing up the VOC moon for the Democrats. I had a terrible moment there!
Thank you Jerome for this wonderful site!!
LOL! Looks like nobody in the administration has ever consulted an astrologer.
Thanks Pat,
Jerome says that Sally is now in charge here. It's her site!
Sally, now I can thank you for you really wonderful articles and this exceptional site.
I'm so happy to have found this place!
i'm just way too angry at democrats to ever give them another chance. we have to move forward. they are both in cahoots together. they voted for the iraqi war, they must be OUT like the republicans...don't be afraid people! the democrats are not the answer to where this country should go. they conceded to the last election, knowing it was stolen, and they say things like, "i stand behind out president" OUT OUT OUT!!!!! can someone out there do some chart for america and the chance for change..democrats is not really change. green has too much a radical name for the average even disgruntled folk..libertarian sounds complicated to the average dope who probably WILL be bored with bushie by then...we need someone to run on the 'independent' ticket, to trash them both...to get a lot of the democrats and some of the repubs, and most important, TO GET OUT THE PEOPLE WHO DON'T VOTE..with all this cancer stuff going on how about pisces nader?
here's his stuff briefly:
rising 0 aquarius
venus 8 in the 1st
nnode 19 aqu in the 1st
saturn 21 aqu in the 1st
sun pisces 8, 2nd
mars conj merc 18 & 19, 2nd
uranus 24 aries, 3rd
pluto cancer 22, 6th
neptune 11 virgo, 8th
jupiter 22 libra 9th
scorpio m/c (!) 22
the last time we chickened out and didn't vote for nader (i did), because we were 'afraid', God, or karma however you want to look at it, "punished" us, and gave us george by criminal actions, endorsed by the dems...they both must go...we must be brave and chuck it in...
nader should run on the indie ticket..or robert redford..anyone got his chart? he can win, my mother, a staunch (sickening) republican would fall for it! is HE the one??? please!
i mean i did vote for nader!
NO NO not Nader. We need new faces because the
next 4 to 5 years will be difficult and the
politicans in now can't see that what they are
doing is not working.
Nader is too brutal with his words, his words
do not invite people in, but keep them out.
I don't feel so depressed about what is going on
in our country as some people because this year
that the US is in is a seven (7) and that means
chaos and wild dreams. Next year, which is an
eight (8), we will wake up and begin to rearrange
our lives and let those things that don't work
go bye bye. In the year 2005, things that we
should have gotten rid of will just go away. That
doesn't mean it will a good time, it just means
we live the Karmic lessons that we have turned
a blind eye to. We will suffer our punishment and
hopeful learn something from it.
Bushie and the little bushie (Rumsfeld) are just
acting in a typical Cancer fashion..they need
to have their heads readjusted big time..but that
will come.
Just keep your chins up
Roxanne - I understand your sentiment, but now is not the time to vote for a 3rd party . . . all that will do is keep Bush at the helm. If just a few of the Naderites voted for Gore in 2000 we wouldn't be living this nightmare. I did not "chicken out" when I voted for Al Gore, I believed he would have made an excellent president.
The Democratic candidate will get my full support. I am hoping it will be the good doctor, Howard Dean. He was against War in Iraq without full U.N. backing and was definitely against any kind of pre-emptive strike, and believes every person in America should have healthcare insurance, starting with the children. He is the most exciting candidate, and I believe he has great potential to become very beloved in this country. http://www.deanforamerica.com/
Laurie, although I am not a Dean fan, I fully agree with your sentiment that a third party vote will guarantee a Bush victory, as it did in 2000. The old adage, divide and conquer, fully applies here. There is a reason why the republicans funnelled money into the Nader campaign and other Greens' campaigns: the repugs know that with Nader or Greens in the race, their victory is assured.
A really obvious herd of elephants in the living room that no one wishes to talks about much imo is the assumption that presidents will all be white males. That particular sub-group is not a majority at around 39% of the population. Women are a majority, however, & in the cacaphony of voices these days, fewer & fewer of them are being heard. It appears that they all now belong to a group of designated um...mute voices. I wonder if we have to play that particular game over n' over n' over n' over... again? Cosmic forces appear too weak to EVER change that dynamic.
I think the female mute game will continue until a viable candidate steps forward. Carol Mosely Brawn, and Hilary are both jokes, and discredit any future candidancies for women for a long time.
well in the words of michael moore, if you think 3,000 women in florida voted for buchanon...plus all those blacks who were told they couldn't vote: NADER DID NOT LOSE THE ELECTION. learn the mathematical facts. that's dem propoganda to keep them and the repugs going..dems stink, they ruined our country. hot head al gore would've pulled the trigger on afghanistan way before the real proof presented itself..he would have been very bad for our country..he's a dope and a dupe..
bush will not get in..he's losing this iraq war..today's headlines proove that..we have turned a militaristic dictatorship of a country into a muslim dictatorship: hello usama, good bye george bush..it's going to be a hard lesson and way to learn for the stupid americans, and iraqis are buying out ak47s like mad... but now it's time to FIRE THEM ALL...and move forward: no mid east, no oil, yay to american progression..
as the bush admin falls, people will be so sad that they were duped, and we haven't even begun to pay for the war yet..the last thing the group mind will want is a dem, it's not enough.. if ralph rises now the majority will say, 'oh that's that guy that ran third - what was he on about?' and what was he on about? THE PEOPLE, CORRUPTION IN CORPORATIONS, SOLDIERS STILL POSTED FROM WARS FROM AGES AGO WHO SHOULD BE BROUGHT HOME. THE EMPOWERMENT OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.
al gore was vp for 8 years, and the air pollution was awful, he's full of it, and so are the rest of the dems.
nader has great stars for election 2004..well aspected venus, and other more powerful things too...the public can fall in love with him.
yes he has harsh words, but he's so humble and a lover of the people. a pisces with aq rising, common you astrologers!!!!!! and ironically he's a lebanese christian who wants to set the people free from these sorts of religious issues, and social issues too...he's are true liberal, liberating the people without having to cater to gay organizations, or special interests (he said, no gonadal politics here), but do the people want to be free to live their life, pay their taxes, and dream the american dream? or do you want more BS BS BS BS???
sally help here! i want YOUR opinion!!!!!
nader said in 2000: "if you vote for the lesser of two evils you still get evil!!!!"
come on now!
p.s.-- we've got to get the republican vote too, don't forget about them! they're going to have nowhere to go, they will probably stay home in 2004.. but most important: they WILL NEVER VOTE DEM!! they would vote indie though.
stat: 20% of nader's vote in 2000 would have otherwise voted bush!
a key and true statistic.
A vote for Nader is a vote to keep Bush in office. Period.
not to hurt your feelings, but you're living in the year 2000...everything has changed and it will continue to do so...
let the repugs think that..go let THEM think that. and they will start their campaign to convince dems to maybe consider to vote for nader -- but they'll be getting some repubs too in the process. those people won't believe it's the repubs paying for that push, so they're possible recruits....bush WILL NOT BE IN OFFICE..HAVEN'T YOU BEEN READING HIS ASTRO READINGS HERE?
it's time for big thinking here.
these are the facts, period:
everytime bushie tries to do something it turns out wrong, it blows up in his face:
1. he stole the election -- he got CAUGHT, creating skeptics with everything he does.
2. he linked al qaida to iraq to boost his support amongst americans -- his war fails and iraq changes from military dictatorship to fundamentalist regime as a result.
3. tba
4. tba
5. tba
6. he pushes nader to weaken the democrats -- nader wins the election.
i'm laughing myself silly...
astrology scholars tell me your assessment? am i mad?
Nope. Won't happen. Enough progressives, everyone I know at least, are pissed at Nader for going after Gore and not Bush (in fact Nader declared that he was there to spoil the election to make an ideological point). And they're afraid of putting Bush in office again. Count on far less green support this time not more.
Re: election. Someone posted an article with forecasts for each of the declared Dems a few months ago, showing that Kerry had the best chance in 04, with Dean being disappointed in the end. I like Dean more and more, and I hate to hear that. Any second opinions about the stars for him? Nancy? Sally?
well larry, there were a lot of democrats who were "fired" by thousands of democrat supporters via emails, etc. when they voted for the war. i don't know what progressives you know but 'democrat' is a dirty word..of course not as dirty as 'repubs', but be brave..
dixie chicks sales are UP, and michael moores film has got more advance dvd orders than 'chicago'..the backlash is a lie. the people rule. don't be afraid.
yes we need vis and sally to tell us through astro scrutiny the chances of not only candidates, including ralph, but also the people..will they want to go back to dems to cure the problems of our country as these problems become more visable, or are they ready to move forward..a lot could depend on the polls...believe me i hate bushie, BUT if the polls are really bad for him, we've got to move forward and get away from what led us to where we are today. and we've got to give the republican people someone to vote for or they'll vote for bush. remember how many votes perot got? and who he got them from?
Roxanne, I wish I could give some hope to you about Nadar, for me personally I would like to give hope about Gore, but this isn't the same ballgame and Nadar will have Pluto square his natal Mars, I don't think he will make it with Scorpio ruling his Midheaven. It might be wishful thinking on my part but with transiting Uranus in a trine to US Natal Venus and Venus ruling the tenth house in the US Chart I keep thinking that there will either be a dark horse (our own Seabiscuit) or one of the candidates will suddenly do or say something that grabs our attention and speaks to the heart of the people. I heard today that the Green Party and the Dems are going to join forces to beat Bush, we need them to join forces to speak to the American people and stand up for us. We need them to be honest about the "blood money" on their own hands, we will follow that party, that person. Geneva's article is very good I hope you all read it. This group of Keystone Cops are getting funnier by the day.
geneva??
but with america getting into venus at that time, and venus being friendly to naders chart then? no? ok, but i can still dream.
Over the past 24-hours, the hot-dogs of war have turned attention from Syria back to Iran. And meanwhile there's the weird wonder in Korea. I do agree, Sally: as I said to a friend today, if no harm had come to anyone, this whole mid-East thing would be a comedy. As it is . . .
From what a few say, the lunar and solar eclipses coming up in May could have dramatic impact. Anyone of you experts care to share your insights?
As for all of us, we must unite and fight to get our country back. Nader can't help at this juncture. Maybe in saner times. But not right now. We've got to get the country back first.
No difference between Democrats and Republicans? Sorry, that won't fly anymore. Anyone who's been awake and aware in the last two and a half years knows that's not true. Gore was a flawed, wishy washy politician but essentially decent person. Bush is a brownshirt who leads a cabal that has declared war on the human race. Vote for whomever you want, that's your right; but spare us this tired Green party canard.
Someone please share some good chart info on Dean...
Larry I will post some information regarding Dean plus a few others, I want to give other astrologers a chance to share their views but will have something about this up by Monday.
Well… I’m not writing off women (52% of the pop) quite yet. And any “uppity” woman, who steps up to be counted, will no doubt suffer character assassination as were Braun & Clinton--the "ruling sub-group" will not let go of power easily. Besides, just because women’s voices have been muted by a dreadful media, doesn’t mean they aren’t active. Quite the opposite & less media attn actually may be to their good. The US Moon in Aquarius represents the “People” generally, but it represents women specifically. This article is quite heartening imo… except for the silly gratuitous last bit. See what you think… ."
http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/politics/1877255
larry! the dems voted for the war. they conceeded to the last election. they tried to keep out a candidate that was for the people, by not letting him debate...i can never forgive them - they are corrupt, anti-environment, and everything else the republicans are, just a notch less..if you feel you have to settle for that, then you get your 'relief' only to go back to the repubs again eventually, who WILL eventually turn this into the next 3rd reich.. the only way to prevent that is to start with a 3rd party candidate..not necessarily green, but indie..
maybe you're happy with the way this country was, i wasn't. i didn't think the answer was a growing dictatorship, which is what we have now, but america has been on the slide for ages!
sally please include nader in your analysis? and robert redford if possible? or warren beatty?
I took a look at Nader... way before the 2000 dyselection... then I found out about his great big stock portfolio in the very corpos he was crabbin' about. It may be silly, but Pisces & duplicitous just go together in my mind. A dear friend once said: "If its a Pisces, it's a sneak." A Pisces just doesn't know boundaries very well... anything goes. One of Hitler's most dreadful henchmen was a super-Pisces. Seems to me their much trumpeted capacity for great compassion & altruism can quite preversely turn around into capacity for great cruelty. Those transSaturn signs/planets energies just seem like poison for an lil ego's attempt to manipute, control, etc. for its own schemes & druthers. Unless it's a very special person imo, politics just is an ego's game personified.
That's why I'm also a bit nervous about Uranus in Pisces... then, of course, eventually Neptune in Pisces... COULD be really nice, I suppose... at some point... mebbe...
The Democrats were lied to about the war, they were told Iraq had WMD's and were a great threat to our country. Forged evidence was used to prove it to them. There's more than one Democrat right now that would love to take back that vote.
I find a HUGE difference between the Republicans and Democrats. I watch C-Span all the time, even at work on my PC. Anyone that says there's no difference obviously does not watch them in action. They are very pro-environment, stand for good social programs and excellence in education.
What are we fighting about here folks? If the progressives cannot get together on this, we will lose again. The main reason the Republicans are ruling is because they are organized to the max!!
Hopefully we can all work together, in some organized fashion, to take back our country.
well you can give the dems excuses, but it's their 'job' not mine, and i knew war was a mistake..how can they not know, while i do? i'm just a musician.
pisces is tricky, yes, but then it's only because they're out of their elements on this earth..nader has a clean card..the repubs tried to set him up with a hooker, they tried to get anything on the guy, and there's nothing.. he's done so much more that affect our daily lives than any party person that has run: clean air act, seatbelts, no smoking on planes...that's all ralph nader, and i'm sure there's more. i doubt he'll even run, he's way above trying to fix this gluttonous nation of fools, i'm sure..but then i'm intolerant and he is not..
see another problem i have is just this:
the 2004 campaigns start and here we have it again..the repubs slamming every dem calling them tax and spend liberals. the repubs doing things like blaming dems for us not having universal health care. gore just stood there and let bush accuse him of this, when we all know that hillary and clinton were stopped. gore said nothing. they do not talk back to these people. and it makes them look wimpy and america loves a super hero...the idea of going through another election of repubs calling dems tax & spend liberals is so painful for me. only a progressive can kebosh these folks..i can't go through the wimpy defeat of dems again..the clinton victories were fantastic for my heart, even though he's a slimy jerk too. but atleast he knew how to smash them, in his own way. a person who will run a respectful race will absolutely lose, that's what gore did. and it makes me just believe they are all 'in it' together..this farce, called american democracy.
i am so sick to death of hearing about the 'L' word..and i'm so sick of watching dems just stand there like limp anemic idiots..only byrd has balls, old as they are. maybe he should run. i want the repubs to get used to the 'P' word, and i want someone who is going to fight them. fight them so they cannot know what hit them, so that neither they or dems will ever win again. who is going to lay the bare facts out and repeat them ad nauseum: the failed and useless war, the inability to find bin laden, the economic disasters, the raising billions to supposedly liberate iraq while not giving the airlines the 30B they need to equipt them with protection from surface to air missles, the trashing of the environment for the corporations, the selling of contracts to republican supporters to rebuild iraq before saddam even had the chance to possibly step down or give up those wmds that do not exist...all these things, and what will the dems do? stand there with their mouths open, as people like the people here will vote for them, the people who want to save america vote 3rd party, and the ignorant go for bush again. show me a dem with blood, and maybe i will vote for him. dukakis was the same way, i loved him, knew he was respectful, but this country wants a fighter, and a cause..there's so many causes to fight for AGAINST republicans, but where is our man? (or woman, oops)
It may not matter WHO we vote for, in the end.
No one will beat Bush unless something is done to stop them from stealing elections. These new electronic voting machines could be and probably are rigged. After voting one can't help but wonder whether it counted.
This is what scares me the most about 2004. What can one do? How could it be proven?
Sally, I am looking so forward to your posting an article about some of the candidates, especially Dean. I went to lunch with a friend today who is, of course, a right-winger. She had Rush on the radio and he was just spewing his nastiness about how awful and corrupt and socialistic and anti-war Dean is. And even traitorous! I laughed, and my friend wanted to know why. I said, well, if he's talking about Dean, then Dean must be scaring the hell out of him! Good news for Dean, in my book!!
Hey, Laurie,
You go girl!I agree with you completely about Nader! The man just has no magnetism or chrisma at all! Dean is impressive and tells it like it Is. My personal dream team would be Dean and a woman (Hillary?) because women are in the majority and are natural mediators...think Margaret Thatcher who was a great leader! Moreover, would you put it past the Bush Cabal to pay Nader to run for President to take away votes from Gore???
A chilling thought: Americans traditionally do not change administrations during a time of war. Bush is sabre-rattling and threatening Korea and Syria. Would anyone put it past the evilduuer "resident" to create perpetual wars to achieve his real goal: total world domination ?? Remember Bush's statement on Sept.18th, 2,000??? "My job would be a heck of a lot easier if this was a Dictatorship"!!!
Naders a control freak.
Bushs a freak.
The American people want to hear tales of dreams
not the truth and until then..we are in big doo doo.
It won't matter who is running, a repub 3-legged dog would win if he told the people..God told me that this war is good, clinton is bad, ban abortion.
First the American people need to get a brain..how do they get one?
The articles on the war, bush and election, and comments grab my attention..can't keep away
Sarah, Bush and the republicans DID help to bankroll Nader's 2000 campaign.
well that's untrue and unfair..nader won't even take money from green corps. if repubs want to put money out to push him, that's their business not his.
bush is a serpent..i don't know much about dean, if he has the sword in his tongue to really whip him, if he does, great. bush and his admin do have plans for world domination. they have no shame, and no regard..they make it so obvious. they are trying to dismantle the entire intl community just to get their oil out of iraq, according to today's news..
how CAN they be stopped. only by voters? if the machines aren't rigged...it's all so bleak. definitely not by wishy washy dems, who gave away the world to him. forget hillary, she's way too gross and corrupt.
it makes me so sad to say this, but i can only hope the fundamentalist arabs take up arms and teach bushie a lesson...and that brings us back to that bible revelation - of the beast destroying the whore.
full circle,
roxanne
I thought you'd like to see this. MoveOn.org is starting to get a campaign organized to defeat Bush and the Republicans in 2004. The Republicans are already well under way in their re-election effort, we need to get started too.
Read their email below and consider signing on to the campaign.
To sign up, click here:
http://www.moveon.org/pac/newpres/
MoveOn will keep you updated when opportunities for
action come up.
I'd like to hear some more analysis about what the people will do - if they will wake up.
Hate to say this, but the people get the government they deserve, and the Dems have been disgusting. Even if Dean (who I like) comes out as a strong candidate, most of the Dems are wimpy. The only feeling I get is that there must be a very strong candidate to win against Bush, and the Dems will have to get their act together as a party if they want to take him out.
Plus, they need to stay focused on issues and keep away from name-calling and accusation. That doesn't win over anyone with intelligence, in my books.
So far, it looks to me as if it will take a miracle to get this dweeb out. If there even is an election. Wouldn't put it past Bushco to start another war and distract everyone. Yecch! What a bunch of losers.
Any chance that one of you might check out if the 2004 elections are going to fair or stolen again.
This is the major thing that is the problem. Every time I touch base with the democrates, I tell them just that.
Howard Dean is an excellent candidate. He will bring out the democratic base because he is a true liberal. He is almost or as smart as Clinton. He tells it like it is. He has a proven track record on the economy in his state. He is not afraid of loosing, cause he has a great day job and that makes all the difference in the world. He was against the war from the first.
I'm wondering now whether the Republicans will change the convention time from September 2nd to earlier, because Alabama and a few other states would not be able to put Bush on their ballots (they would miss a deadline). You know good and well the repugs wouldn't put up with that. I bet they change to early August sometime.
Nope, no change. When faced with the choice of capitalizing on a tragedy or getting the name on the ballot, the tragedy wins. If any state will go for Bush no matter whether he's on the ballot or not, it's Alabama.
I was reading this morning that the political strategist Karl Rove - aka Bush's Brain - was actually pivotal in the decision to attack Iraq, and was present at a recent meeting that involved discussions about whether to wage war against Syria. The article actually indicated he said it wasn't the right time - yet. (I guess the polling numbers weren't favorable.) Has anyone done a chart on this guy? Rove is the evil genius behind Bush and if anything were to remove him from the picture, Bush would be cooked.
Yeah I do recall the issue coming up after 9/11 from the white house, that if we were involved in a war the president had a right to cancel elections. I half expect that to happen if it begins to look as if bush is failing in popularity. These creeps act as if they are going to be there for awhile with all their new policies and homeland security and patriot BS.
And then there's also their new republican owned election machines. If it turns up , most likely at the last moment, that there will be no paper trail of the votes then there is going to be hell raising big time trouble.
By the way John Kerry is also a member of the Skull and Bones club. I like Kucinich but I really doubt that he will be recognized.
Susan, I do have a birthdate (no time) for Rove, and also Ari, I'll try and dig it up.
It is curious that all the choosing of NY was done during mercury Rx. It could well be that the GOP uses those states like AL to change it a week earlier, and use it to dismiss any politization charges...
BUSH IS A MOTHERFUCKING MORONIC ASSHOLE! FUCK THE BASTARD NOW! I would ordinarily vote for nader. He is a consumer advocate and is anti-corporation(who fund both democrats and republicans). However, the large percent of the nation is not as enlightened as I. Therefore, vote for kerry. For more info, read Micheal moore's Stupid White Men.
