The Push to War

As we leave January and enter February 2003, the tension in the air grows more and more palpable. The relentless push for war from the Bush administration continues unabated, bolstered by vague and unsubstantiated claims of Al Qaida/Iraqi collusion and Saddam’s supposed plan to attack America. In the midst of this unsettling cacophony, the tragic and unexpected disintegration of the space shuttle Columbia seems an ominous reminder of America’s lack of omnipotence.

We are currently in a peak period of Mr. Bush’s unilateralism, signified by the strong activation of Uranus in both the Inaugural chart and Bush’s natal chart. Uranus’ position in a chart designates where ideas run counter to the prevailing mood of the times, where there is a sense of fixedly adhering to a “truth” that others are unlikely to grasp or agree with, and where “marching to the beat of a different drummer” is the norm.

In the Inaugural chart, Uranus conjuncts Mercury, squaring Mars on one side and Saturn on the other. Thus, unilateral policies (Uranus/Mercury) are daring and sometimes reckless (Mars), but also run into fierce anger (Mars) and opposition (Saturn). This pattern has been acted out repeatedly since the beginning of the Bush administration. During Bush’s first month in office, Mercury crossed Inaugural Uranus three times by transit, due to a period of retrogradation. During March 2001, Mercury crossed Uranus by tertiary progression (a day for a month calculation). The corresponding events were described in Dubya’s Troubled Time:

We have seen how the three transits of Mercury to natal Uranus in the Inaugural Chart caused a great stir during the early weeks of the Bush Residency. The first brought the reinstitution of the gag rule, the second brought the bombing of Iraq, and the third brought the angioplasty of Vice President Cheney with its accompanying denials of seriousness. In each case, the event was sudden and unexpected (Uranus) and was followed by tremendous public concern and criticism (Mercury/Uranus receives a square from Mars).

The tertiary progressed Mercury that reached its exact conjunction to Uranus during the last three weeks of March exemplified much the same pattern. It brought in its wake numerous policies (Mercury) from the Bush administration that were sudden, unexpected, and contrary to the general mood of the public (Uranus) and that were followed by public anger and enormous criticism (Mars). Among these were the abandonment of carbon dioxide regulations, the repeal of arsenic in drinking water regulations, the withdrawal of support from the Korean negotiations, the repeal of ergonomic regulations, and other such pro-industry and anti-humanitarian policies too numerous to list. The most egregious action taken under this progression and the one that produced the greatest outcry from all across the globe was the withdrawal of the United Sates from the Kyoto Protocol, an international process of many years duration working to halt the destructive process of global warming. This came on March 28 when tertiary progressed Mercury was almost exact in its conjunction to natal Uranus (19Aquarius41) and was activated by transits from Mars (19 Sagittarius) and the Moon (19 Taurus).

Since the summer of 2002, Inaugural secondary progressed Mercury has been conjunct natal Uranus (19Aquarius41). Utilizing the day for a year technique (secondary) instead of the day for a month (tertiary), this progression began around mid-July 2002 and peaks around February 6, 2003, when it will be exact. We can see from these dates that it coincides with the recent push of the Bush administration towards war with Iraq. During January and through February 20, 2003, transiting Pluto is sextile Inaugural Uranus, intensifying the potency of the Mercury/Uranus progression and the aggressive push of the Bush administration to imprint its policies on the planet. This configuration is likely to wane in impact after February 20, having brought a period of increasing unilateralism and a war policy resisted by most of the world.

In Mr. Bush’s natal chart we find another very significant activation of Uranus. The progressed Midheaven is conjunct natal Uranus (19Gemini08), spanning the year from October 2002 through October 2003, when it will be exact. It will continue for a few months thereafter, but its power will wane rapidly. This progression is profoundly intensified by the current transit of Pluto, essentially stationary at 19 Sagittarius from January through May 2003. As we have already seen, this powerful combination of Midheaven, Pluto, and Uranus is bringing Mr. Bush a period of ongoing crisis, tension, and surprise upsets in a generally unstable flow of events. North Korea has blatantly and belligerently chosen this period to rev up its nuclear arsenal. Germany and France have defiantly withdrawn support for Bush’s war. Fierce and growing criticism for Bush is erupting from everywhere, with protests and prominent citizens speaking out daily. And, most recently, the space shuttle Columbia suddenly disintegrated on its return flight, casting a portentous shadow over the country. In addition to generating a mood of perpetual crisis during these months, the speeded up action and energy of Uranus has become somewhat fanatical under the relentless focus of Pluto, creating in Mr. Bush an obsessive and rigid fixation on declaring war with Iraq despite the shifting situation.

A further indicator of aggression and a war mentality may be found in the US chart. This is the tertiary progression of Mars square the US Sun, from late December 2002 through mid-February 2003. It is during this period that the war rhetoric and military build-up have reached a fevered pitch. This progression is further intensified by a Uranus transit sesquiquadrate the US Sun from January 25 through February 9. This two-week period is likely to bring some of the harshest and most militaristic posturing to date. Colin Powell’s presentation of evidence to the UN on February 5 is likely to reflect this energy.

The period from February 14 through 21, 2003, is likely to be especially significant. It follows the very strong unilateral and militant rhetorical thrust of January 25 through February 9, and includes several very significant transits. Jupiter will be conjunct Bush’s natal Pluto, signaling a feeling of increased power and domination by him. There is a Sun/Uranus conjunction (28 Aquarius), February 16 –17 that will trigger the transit of Uranus sesquiquadrate to Bush’s Sun, suggesting sudden precipitous action or sudden upsetting and transformative events. And there is a Mars/Pluto conjunction (19 Sagittarius), February 17 –18, violent in its own right, and triggering the two significant progressions mentioned above: the progressed Inaugural Mercury sextile Uranus (19 Aquarius) and the current ongoing configuration of Bush’s progressed MC conjunct natal Uranus (19 Gemini). The Mars/Pluto in this position suggests violent, sudden, precipitous events either initiated by the administration or impacting it or both.

It should be noted that all during February 2003 there is a Saturn station that sits in semisquare to Mr. Bush’s Ascendant. Delays, frustration and difficulties are likely to continue. Nothing is likely to go smoothly or easily, and he will continue to feel resisted on several fronts, both domestic and foreign. Moreover, this is an emotional and very disturbing time for Commander Bush. His progressed Moon is square to natal Pluto all month, making him somewhat, volatile and resentful. By late February, transiting Chiron will square his Moon until March 11. This suggests a very upsetting and emotional experience, with some significant inner turmoil. Thus by early March, as some of the unilateral push recedes and the powerful energies of February 14 through 21 wane, Mr. Bush will be left with left with some powerful and distressing emotional baggage (Chiron /Moon).

By the second week of March 2003, Mr. Bush is likely to be thrust into the maelstrom again, which will continue unabated through May 19. Converse progressed Moon will be square to his natal Uranus (3/9 –4/9/03), while Pluto turns retrograde on March 23, heading once again towards the exact opposition to Bush’s Uranus/progressed Midheaven. Both of these will stimulate the unilateral push, the fanatical ambition, and the swirling of crisis around Mr. Bush, bringing unexpected and profound events for him to face. Watch for significant events to unfold from April 20 through May 1, when Mercury makes its station at 19 - 20 Taurus.

Wow. That Sun/Uranus followed closely by the Mars/Pluto is going to be firing up the over-reaching mentality that is becoming the trademark of this administration. This is one time we can say, thank heavens for Saturn! But having that Chiron square come directly afterwards, could beakons some sort of hero-mentality that is thrust on Bush.

The Mercury station in late April is just past the 15 Taurus asc of the Bush administration, so the Rx and then shadow transit, will traverse over the asc three times-- Sqaring the natal Mercury, and inconjuncting the Pluto/Moon of the chart. This is going to signal a re-defining moment for the Bush administration. Then afterwards, the Saturn in Cancer ingress occurs.

Pluto {death resurection all things nuclear} during the second week of February 2003, will be at 20 degrees Sagittarius. At this time it will square Mars{war conflict} in the Mohammed Hegira chart {The founding of Islam 7/15 9/24 622 AD} while simultaniosly opposing the United States Mars.
The implications of this T square can lead me to only one conclusion: Any US invasion of Iraq will develop into a war encompassing not only Iraq, but the entire PanArabic world.
The Mohammed Hegira chart should be considered for a proper reading of the current situation. Just a thought.

To the astrologers on this site: Is there anything in Colin Powell charts to suggest that he, too, will have to deal with unpleasant karma? For certainly he has sold his soul for cheap to this adminstration. I believe that as long as Powell remains strong, this administration will take cover behind him.

To Nancy: Thank you for an excellent article outlining the possibilities in store for our Commander-in-Chief. I can only hope Saturn gives him his just reward.

Interesting, you aren't the first person today who has suggested that Powell sold his soul today, and yes Powell has his karmic payback too, eventually we all have to pay a piper. His Aries Sun will be squared by Saturn into Cancer, plus his progressed Sun is in conjunction with transiting Pluto. Pluto on the Sun even a progressed Sun will create circumstances where you either "give up" whatever you thought you were or knew, or it's taken away. This whole administration is absolutely rift with aspects that spell change and doom, the most interesting thing is they won't see it coming. Actually it's here now and they don't see it but the pressure will stay on them. And we have to do whatever we can to make sure that happens. It isn't them, it is "us" who have to change and stand up to the BS

Sally, I agree with you, "We have to change and stand up to the BS," but change is difficult when the public is given half or none of the information. Today, for example, all forms of media tuned in to the Powell pony show. The moment he finished speaking, local media all turned away and did not present the other side. Therefore, the public wasn't given the opportunity to hear an alternate view or hear the other opposing delegates speak. It's like going to court and only the prosecutor gets to presents a case. Keep in mind too, our media failed to point our that the satelite photos were from Nov., the same time Powell believed there was no need for war. No one asked the question, you had the satelite photos then and you didn't think war was necessary, so what has changed--the photos are the same.

Anyway, we live and hope.

Not to worry, it has changed. It's kind of like when an individual changes on the inside, it takes a while for those changes to manifest on the outside, it's the same with a country. However, more and more people are speaking up and more and more journalists. There is a group called "Take Back the Media" who is having some success in a writing campaign to Rush Limbaugh's advertisers to pull their support, three have done so. MSNBC had to report that France, Russia and China were not impressed with Powell's dog and pony show. I have a son draft age and a nephew already in Iraq so I don't say this lightly, but astrologically whether they go to war or not, they will lose. So far the dam of big business and the Bush Cartel seems to be still standing, but there are leaks in that solid wall and it will come crashing down on them.

I have been reading your articles for about 6 months now, and I know that all the war concerns are focused on Iraq, but more and more it seems to me that N.Korea is increasingly becoming the wild card. Is it possible that we may see the U.S. going to war with N.Korea instead of Iraq, because of some unxpected development?

Also, I believe N.Korea is one of the countries that lay in the path of the Dec. 2002 solar eclipse, as well as Australia and Indonesia (I think), and there were those terrible bush fires in Australia, and the bombing in Indonesia, so I thought maybe it's N.Korea's turn next. I get the feeling that they may invade S.Korea.

In astrology we learn that energy is just energy and astrologers attempt to determine where that energy might strike. As an example if there were astrologers looking at the Challanger event in 1986 or even the launch of the Columbia or the beginnig of NASA they could have predicted a rough time for the Columbia on Feb. 1st. But the government doesn't have astrologers watching every single event in the world to ascertain where there could be problems. The Universal energy we are experiencing right now is felt most keenly by the US as well as other countries. It doesn't just affect the US there are businesses, people, different states, different cities and towns, as well as planes and shuttles. In the early 50's the United States were in a "police action" with North Korea and Saturn was conjuncting the US Neptune and square the US Mars, that seems to be our war signature (looking at it from a historical perspective.

As to your question, it is profound in its implications, because you are right, there could be action we don't even expect from North Korea, there could be a huge earthquake, or nuclear explosion. One thing for sure the energy will be released and the US will have to deal with it because it affects them whatever it is. Often times in Astrology classic aspects (and we have classic aspects right now) do not release in the manner expected. Right now all eyes are on the "coming war" with Iraq but as a nation we are not prepared for any contingency. I can make a very very good astrological case for war with Iraq, and so can many many other gifted astrologers, but if we turn our eyes beyond the scope of Iraq, absolutely there are several other options and I and other astrologers are looking at those right now, because I am not convinced, indeed my education and training teaches me not to look at just one option, it would be a mistake. I am a Scorpio and I always look over my shoulder.

as a PS, the more the mathamatical equations are reduced from Global, to country, to state, to city, to business, to a person it's easire to fine tune at the "person" level. That said I can say with certainity that GWB and several members of his administration will be profoundly impacted by what happens, and he will feel that the impact of the event is specifically negative toward him. Mr. Bush has led a gifted or charmed life if you will and he has very few skills to carry him through a personal crisis he cannot control and he will not be able to control this crisis, and there will be more than one.

Hoodwinked - You mentioned the chart for Islam: the founding of Islam 7/15 9/24 622 AD. I am not clear about what date this is or where. Could you please give the date, time and place? I think the Pluto transit opposite the US Mars will be far more potent when exact in 2004, suggesting the US will be at war during the Pluto station on that degree from January through May 2004. That period of danger is corroborated by the triggering of Bush's progressed Sun/natal Mars conjunction by a Jupiter station from March through early May 2004 (9Virgo).

It is quite possible we will be at war with Korea once Bush has installed his puppet government in Iraq and given lipservice to the rebuilding ( as in Afghanistan). Certainly Bush's progressions lead one to suspect a great deal of aggressive action upcoming. His progressed Sun will be conjunct his natal Mars from May '03, waxing til May '04. This is triggered by the Mars station at 9 - 10 Pisces in July and August 2003 (?Korea) and the Jupiter station at 9 Virgo in March - May 2004.

In addition, he has converse progressed Mars conjunct his Ascendant (7 Leo)for a few years starting in September 2003. This will be triggered by Pluto from 22 Sagittarius (sesquiquadrate) February to April 2004. I think he will seem quite aggressive, impatient, and war focused for much of this time. There is also a recklessness about all of this Mars. I think we are in for a very wild ride.

Sorry for my weird english.
we'd focus more on ourselves than on Bush or whoever incarnates a situation. I notice we spend much time wondering whether Bush is to be "paied back" or on whether Powell sold "his soul". We don't know these things. And as far as Powell may be concerned, the guy is a general: to a general being loyal has a PROFOUND meaning, beyond gossip.
I believe the best thing we could do is: can we assess whether we're going in the next years to see a majkor and meaningful terroristic attack with mdw? I do not deem we might have many of them. Actually mdw terrorist attacks are a grand miscalculations because after the first the road will be open to any type of mass pre emptive attack and no UN would meddle any longer.
So our pursuit in an astrological field is ONLY this in my opinion: can stars really suggest such an attack would really happen?

Alberto, you are so right. Can we actually predict war? The best we can really do is look at the countries (do they indicate a stressful period and does that period have historical significance, in other words what happened to that country under similar conditions. Then we look at the leaders astro aspects, do they have aspects that would indicate they are in a mood to go to war. In the US, everytime Saturn aspected the US Mars/Neptune square by square, conj. or opposition there was usually war, but we are a very young country. In this particularly instance, the country Iraq (as well as North Korea) have some very angry and stressful energies affecting them, so does the US. All three leaders seem to be chomping at the bits to war with someone, will it be with each other is the harder question to answer. The astro energies have their roots not only in the 1991 Gulf War, but also in the 1950 Korean War. Interesting that both seem to be knocking on Bush's door right now.

Concerning the dates for Islam, the location used is Mecca. The July date is when Mohammed left the city in response to his rejection of the lifestyle and tradition that had taken hold.

The later date is when he had a "known following" that had begun to take hold. The later date also represents the begining of the rapid advancement of his teachings.

If you work the charts with the date spread, the impact on the timing is negligable.

If I am correct the trigger dates are from 2/15/03 to 2/21/03

These violent energies of the various old warcoots centuries can just as well act AGAINST THEM as well as act against anyone else. I'm past soul-tired of being run hither & yon by old wargeezers century after century when we don't have to be & they can implode. There're too many wonderful things we could be doing that we haven't even discovered yet... we can accept doing OTHER than re-re-re-re-doing the warcoot's favorite. He needs to be kicked into the nearest psych unit just like any other psychopath.

Hoodwinked, Thanks for explaining the dates. I see one of them has Pluto in exact square to Mars right now through this whole station. That Mars is also conjunct the Sun in the World Trade Center attack chart (~18Virgo50) which I see as the chart for the War on Terror. The Mars Pluto conjunction will be a nasty trigger.

I also feel that the dates 2/14 to 2/21 are crucial. If we get past them without a war, we might have some hope. All the intense triggering to the unilateral Inaugural Uranus ends around then (secondary progressed Mercury conjunct Inaugural Uranus/ triggered by Pluto sextile). The transit of Uranus sesquiqadrate US Sun and conjunct US progressed Sun will also have moved away (afer 2/9). Also, the tertiary progressed US Mars square natal Sun will have passed. The big one coming is Jupiter on Bush's Pluto, currently also squared by his progressed Moon. This runs the 14th to the 21st as well.

As for the possibity of terrorism. I think that the most important aspect in the 9/11 attacks was the Pluto transit to US Ascendant. In the tertiary progressed chart, the Moon (which moves a degree roughly every 2 to 2 and a half days) was exactly on the US Pluto, semisquare the natal Ascendant from 9/11 through 9/14. I see this as a trigger. The impact on the Ascendant, the physical body of the country, seems to be key. When Mars crossed the US Ascendant (I use 12 Sag52) a few days ago, Korea threatened a pre-emptive strike against us and Powell went to the UN aggressively pushing for war.

I think the Pluto Moon conjunction in Bush's Inaugural suggests the prevalence of fear and terror and manipulation and control issues between this administration and the people. I have wondered if the current station of Pluto on the Inaugural Moon would bring an event to increase the Pluto paranoia on the people, posssibly a terrorist incident. It has certainly raised the tension level to a new high with this pending war. So the coming Mars Pluto conjunction (triggering Inaugural Uranus, and the Pluto transit to Inaugural Moon) is of great concern, especially because it comes concurrent with a Sun Uranus conjunction just past the exact conjunction of the US progressed Sun. So anything is possible from the 15th through the 17th.

I would also consider a possible red flag for terrorism any transit that could trigger the 12/02 eclipse that was at 12 Sag on the US Ascendant for the next year. Mars will cross 12 Pisces 3 times, for example. But other aspects need to show up as well including a renewed fear in the American populace (Pluto).

Here is work that I first posted in July or August of 2002 on another site. It was inspired by an ongoing dialog with another astrologer on an investment site of which we are both members. Sorry its a long post

The 12/04/02 eclipse is the jumping off point of the of our future turmoil with Islam. There is nothing subtle about this time period. If cooler heads do not prevail it is my belief that we could be looking at the final intervention by the US in the mideast.

Humanity is finding out that the "old rules" no longer apply. The value on human life is taking second place ideology. People are being viewed as a commodity. Those that are lost during power struggles are considered "shrink loss", "cost of doing business", "collateral damage"....call it what you will.

The US has wanted control of the Iraqi oil fields for over 50 years. Soon the population of the US will realize that this is the true agenda of the Bush administration. And how will this happen? The attacks by terrorists is about to escalate. This eclipse will set the fanatics on the "fast track". Citizens of the US will come to understand that while we have been looking in one direction {Iraq} the enemy is standing at the gate. They will also realize that the Homeland Security Bill was a ploy to give the illusion {Neptune} of protecting the US population. In the next 6 months we will see the people rise up and demand proper protection of our home shores.

This chart tells me when {not if } we proceed in the Mid East a fury of retaliation will be unleashed. It appears our actions will alienate all of our allies. This eclipse could prove to be the our demise.

From late December 2002 through late May 2003, transiting Pluto will be stationary opposite the Iraqi Moon, triggering the still active progressed Saturn opposite the natal Moon. During the Gulf War period, from December 1990 through May 1991, transiting Pluto was quincunx Iraq’s Moon/ Venus conjunction. I think that this Pluto transit of 12/02 to 5/03 and the one following it in 2004 indicate tremendous suffering for the Iraqi people. It is not insignificant that a similar transit happened during the last war. Because of this suffering Islam will unite.

A further indicator of powerful events, probable violence, and extremely aroused emotions during this period is the tertiary progressed Mars that will be opposite the Iraqi Moon from 12/4/02 to 1/16/03. Tertiary progressed Mars overlaps with transiting Pluto opposing the natal Moon from 12/25/02 to 1/16/03. Also of note here is that tertiary progressed Jupiter will be opposing the Iraqi Moon from 12/1/02 to 4/18/03, thereby intensifying the aggression and power struggles going on during this period.

Jupiter turn retrograde at 19' Leo the degree of the Aug 11 1999 eclipse. We are on a war track come hell or high water. The US administration has used fear and deception to set in motion a plan designed to take what it wants by any means.

The American people are going to start to put 2 + 2 together. Soon they will realize that in all situations we are not always the "good guys". They will rightfully begin to question our motivations in one area, while neglecting to truly protect our homeland interests.

Here is the destination as our actions to date are only reinforcing this original call

We are standing at a gateway to history that is unprecedented. Decisions and rhetoric on the part of the US are only fueling the fires of resentment and hatred towards the US. I put forward this simple question....How long would any of us sit idly by, knowing our lives are being threatened, and that the one threatening, fully intends to carry out this threat?
The aspect contains a dynamic of profound implications.

We have six months {Now its 3 months} to avoid a PanArabic conflagration. If a diplomatic approach is not employed we will not have the same "cake walk" as GulfWar 1.

This chart is also showing China and Russia are up to something collectively.

We are entering another major quake zone. I will study the maps to try and locate the hottest zones.

Also Africa is still very much active concerning terrorist activity as well as Italy {The Vatican?} and Indonesia. This eclipse is also raising tensions between Pakistan and India

Hoodwinked, I agree that we are at a gateway that we will cross when Bush makes this war official. It seems that the Saturn station is causing Bush untold problems since it is semisquare his Ascendant. I had posted on my site on the Newsflash Page that his would be a period of frustrations and delays for Bush due to this aspect. Since it runs past the time of Bush's Jupiter transit to his Pluto, I am wondering which will win out during that period. Will Saturn continue to hold him in check or will Jupiter expand his power into Commander in Chief of a war? There are certainly plenty of aspects to suggest war, but this Saturn has really been sticking it to him and Cheney (Saturn station square his Moon).

I think that this Pluto transit of 12/02 to 5/03 and the one following it in 2004 (see below) indicate tremendous suffering for the Iraqi people. A further indicator of powerful events, probable violence, and extremely aroused emotions during this period is the tertiary progressed Mars that will be opposite the Iraqi Moon from 12/4/02 to 1/16/03. Tertiary progressed Mars overlaps with transiting Pluto opposing the natal Moon from 12/25/02 to 1/16/03. (Please note the correspondence with the double triggering of Saddam’s Jupiter/ Pluto opposition from 12/25/02 – 1/8/03.) Also of note here is that tertiary progressed Jupiter will be opposing the Iraqi Moon from 12/1/02 to 4/18/03, thereby intensifying the aggression and power struggles going on during this period.

Hoodwinked, Have you worked with this Birth of Islam chart long enough to check it with some historical events? It would be interesting to see how things like the Arab Israeli wars and the 9/11 attacks registered on that chart. Have you been able to progress it? (Doable, but a mathematical undertaking.) I would think this whole period since the intifada against Israel in fall 2000 and especially since 9/11 would be very interesting in the progressed chart.

I was actually shown the Islam chart via email. It was sent to me by an associate questioning why it is so overlooked. Astroworld seemed the perfect site to bring light to this chart. When the chart was sent my way, the confirmation of the dates was readily available as historical record. The posters on this site have skills far greater then my recreational use of the art. I was hoping the chart would generate enough interest for the consideration of many. As in my trading life, the more input the better. No one has all the answers. I have found that a collaborative effort leads to the best result.

My take on the chart is bleak. Not only do I see total conflagration in the MidEast. I see us losing. I was led in this direction when Chasmo, {a poster on the linked site} added the charts for the first nuclear detonation. As our exchange grew using the "Islam chart", the "US chart", the "detonation chart", the "Inaugeration chart",and "Dubyas chart" things only became more bleak. I can only see what I see. I am hoping others will work the charts and see another outcome.
I fear for my children. I fear for my country. Our time is short from my reading of the charts. I am not an alarmist. I was stunned and emotionally drained upon completion of the exchange of information.

As I mentioned it was a collaborative effort with attention to the charts above being slowly introduced to the mix. What one overlooked the other did not. The flow of information became very intense and undeniable. We began confirming each others work. All ego was put aside and the work became one.

It would aid us all to have many looking at the five charts. The two that have been overlooked. The first nuclear detonation chart and the chart for Islam. We have been handed the keys.

I know one can only see what they see, but this is too gloom and doom for me. There are always survivors, and survive we will. We will survive and we will put in a government that works for all the people, and we will demand our freedoms again.

It probably won't be pretty what we go through, but there will be a light at the end of this horrid rainbow.

There is an artcle today on www.globeandmail.com that Canada is trying to get the US and UN to compromise by giving Iraq until mid-April to disarm. (Canada has a Libra Ascendant - hence our reputation as peacekeepers, diplomats - so, not surprising they are trying to broker a compromise.)

The fits in with the April 20th - May 1st timeline you spoke of in your article. Bush will probably not give up his war, but if Canada can get the US/UN to agree to hold off until mid-April, it is likely Bush will start the war then. Unless something else intervenes to prevent war altogether...such as North Korea?

Will Canada succeed in delaying this?
